For day 2 and 3 I did @unlocktheaskblog’s WonderFlag and @aerialaim’s Aerial!
For Aerial I didn’t change much, honestly I just can’t see anything that I’d truly change outside of these few changes! Aerial’s design just works so well in her story. What I did do however was to change up the eyes a wee bit (cuz I like green) and to add some darker gradients and freckles- I also changed the coat color to off white because I personally don’t like using pure whites.
As for WonderFlag however- I interpreted her as less of a flag based horse and more so an America cased horse. I still kept her hair blue but added a bit of old fashion-ness to her by bringing it back to a more 50s style hair as well as added the first American flag as her bandana. I wanted to keep her pretty but tough as well which is why I didn’t add big lashes. I gave her a pink muzzle and an off white coat as well as some eyeshadow just to bring more red into her design. finally my favorite part was giving her a bandana I already own which is a bandana with the POW MIA symbol all over it. I wanted to make it seem at first glance that this character represents American history- the good the bad and the ugly.
Also it’s literally no secret at this point that I’m stuck in the 60s and 70s rn

"i’m currently working on a kandreil post-baltimore fic where kevin goes fully nonverbal" do you know what reading those words has done to me. i cannot sleep thinking about nonverbal kevin i truly cannot
ME TOO ME TOO ME TOOOOOOO.;....;;;; my idea for it was that after baltimore abby told him to avoid talking for a few days to be safe and kevin just. kept going. at first it was two days, then it was five, then it was seven, until abby realizes he's still not speaking and tells him it's at a point where it'll be more detrimental if he doesn't try doing it again
and i think kevin does try! but it's like. well. i think when he opens his mouth he is overcome with fear and the idea of saying the wrong thing; his one protective stance against riko was to never say anything (you can't hurt someone for something they never said), but it'd still get him hurt nonetheless, and then with andrew.......... everything went downhill as soon as kevin opened his mouth.... so the first time he tries to talk again after that break feels absolutely terrifying!!!! kevin is just there, mouth open, trying very hard to get any words out and abby is waiting but he just can't seem to say anything. can't seem to make any noise at all
this is very interesting to me as a concept!!! i think its a very understandable fear, and a consequence most people wouldn't know what to do with, kevin included. he's just... ahghg.... kevin.... he didn't have it in himself to go with grace you see :( one of this fics main plot points is that some of the other foxes think kevin's silence isn't a psychological thing, and they (andrew included) believe kevin's vocal cords have been permanently damaged, so no one is having even the slightest bit of fun really. in fact i think this might be my most pathetic andrew yet because he's really going through it
SO YEAH UM I LOVE THIS FIC YOU SEE.... i think its just so interesting and such a sad but crushingly realistic concept...... so much of kevin's character is centered around talking and communicating and to imagine a version of him that just. can't. is very ahhh........ plus i think he's cute signing all angry. but that's more personal if anything!

baby guild :)
aka the timber scouts! they're basically just a bunch of kids in a sort of guild prep-course. so, not a real full official guild, but functions like one. all the kids have different woodland animal gimmicks to go with the scout vibe. They have a very loose shared uniform too, they're pretty much allowed to customize however they want as long as they keep the white button-up, brown outerwear, dark brown bottoms, and brown boots. also like a lot of kids in other guilds, their weapons are toys or otherwise "safter" items. But that's pretty much all! They aren't super deep characters, but more general info still under the cut :p

whats ur ocs fighting styles like? even the ones that dont how would u imagine them go down?
ahh damn this is interesting to consider. i've been kinda intentionally de-emphasizing the fighty bits, because i've recently been rather sick of fighting scenes and duels interrupting, or worse yet, taking over the fun stories i'm trying to read.
that being said. over half of them have actual training and experience. and for one of them, i keep hallucinating elaborate fight choreographies...
kimon: sort of military background (it's complicated) as he was sort of a field healer for a while. as a kid, he was taught a martial art focused on magic knives that can do the evil healing trick of "congrats, you've been akira'd to shreds." he actually can do it with just his hands now, if he manages to touch bare skin, but has a very strict code against doing that. smart and cool-headed, very focused on Getting The Fuck Out.
vaal: hooooooooo boy, the surprise soulsborne boss!! literally the main character concept for em is "former living weapon." the twist is that e was deployed against abominations. like going solo against a dragon. imagine one of them slender, super fast mechs doing shadow of the colossus battle, with something like a lance loaded up with magic bullshit. so specifically a living guided missile system...? (this all is still very much under construction and as stated, i'm not super into specifics in fighting, so bear with me.)
but i've also talked about how e would work in more one on one type of fights with a friend, and we landed on something in the general direction of boreal outrider knight and artorias from dark souls. i bet there's good matches in bloodborne too, but i'm not as familiar with its bosses. e also absolutely Delights in the hunt, despite everything.
arin: absolutely not a fighter. chaotic flailing. could sneak up on someone focused on someone else and bonk them in the head. they would be able to do the in-world equivalent of macing someone, like they would carry it and know how to use it.
tess: not a fighter either. she has it in her to be a commander type, but with her experience etc, it manifests mostly as her knowing how not to endanger herself or others more than they already are. a part of their very formal upbringing was probably something equivalent to like, fencing as a sport.
sam: she works/has worked as a (security) guard. all about keeping things under control, de-escalating, stopping fights before they start. owns a mace/staff/thing with a tazer sleep spell incorporated. she does a martial art also as a hobby, but i haven't landed on the exact style yet. think of like, olden time-y boxing or wrestling matches. she feels a bit more of a wrestling sort of gal, but pugilist is such a good word, i'm torn!
leskel: very much has other people do the fighting for him. also if you tried to bonk him, you'd get fifty magic traps blowing up in your face. but then he'd surprise you again and go pontiff sulyvahn on your ass. the combination of formal dance and heavy swings, i just vibe with it so much. though he's still probably relying on some supernatural stuff to greatly boost his capabilities.
