neither of them were particularly skilled in the art of sleeping. that meant, when they were in the same city they could often be found together when they couldn't sleep. when they weren't alice called, cosmo usually answered. while she was in college, her sleep schedule got even worse which cemented their late night calls as part of the routine. then, alice left school, and started playing with a band she'd been apart of in college full time. she had other people to spend her late nights with, but that didn't mean she didn't miss cosmo. calls with cosmo were home for her, and she'd been the one to stop calling. so, of course she'd invited him to a show in some dingy club in san francisco when they played there. they'd had a bigger turn out then expected, but in alice's mind she was playing just for him. it was an 'i'm sorry for getting too caught up in life to call, i hope you get why' show. she was still riding the adrenaline high when she pulled her friend from the crowd and into the bar area afterwards. "i do too. i really didn't mean to ghost you like that. i miss our talks a lot."
