#they're two very big artists and it's cool to see them interact!

Approximately no one (except the four people who voted for it in my poll I guess) asked to see this, but the brainrot is rotting my brain so here are my Newsies + juggling au thoughts. Feel free to not read this.
There is an actual plot that goes with this that my friend and I discussed while driving back from the festival I went to, and because that plot is supposed to somewhat mirror the plot of Newsies but with college kids who like circus arts, some of the choices I've made are for Plot Reasons.
My undergrad juggling club is unusual in that (when I was there) the focus was on big passing patterns and stealing/takeout patterns, and there was an expectation that almost everyone would interact with clubs (the prop) to some degree. At the festival I just attended, when we went to a stealing workshop, we already knew a lot of the patterns and picked up the new ones very quickly relative to the people who tend to do more siteswap/numbers juggling. With this context out of the way, some thoughts about various characters and what their preferred skills/props would be, with some example videos scattered throughout (not from my own juggling community, obviously):
Jack: Big passing
There's two varieties of big passing patterns: convention patterns, which involve a lot of people and are very interesting to the participants, but are not great from an audience/non-juggler perspective; and patterns that can also be fun but more importantly actually look cool to an audience. Jack is a big fan of the former--I think he'd like getting a big group of people to pass together and come up with fun variations on the initial pattern. He'd probably have an ongoing argument with someone else in the club (probably Albert) about which patterns to do in show routines because of this.
An example of a passing/stealing pattern that is more viewer-friendly:
youtube
Katherine: Contact poi
Katherine enters college with some poi experience, which leads her to join the juggling club, but unfortunately some jugglers have a rude habit of mocking flow artists, so she starts putting a ton of effort into learning how to juggle in order to "prove" herself. Somewhere along the way she discovers contact poi and gets really into that as a compromise between juggling and poi. She's not as good as the person in this example (he regularly ends up in the top 40 jugglers countdown), but to give y'all an idea of what I mean by contact poi/poi juggling:
instagram
Race: Rings, balance, and combat
On one hand, Race would probably really enjoy the math that goes into siteswaps, but I don't think he'd enjoy practicing them. So! Just for fun, he's into rings just for the meme status they had in my juggling club: they look very pretty and you can do some cool stuff with them, but they're kind of a pain. But also he'd be into anything that involves balance--he'd learn how to juggle while balancing a club on his chin, and he'd also probably pick up unicycling and globe (a giant ball that you stand on, basically). Finally, I think he'd like combat, which leads us to...
instagram
Albert: Stealing/passing and combat
Albert's true love is combat, but that's not really something you can perform, so he uses his ability to juggle while running/catch really weird/high throws to work with all the new passers in actual routines.
Combat is basically a game where everyone is juggling clubs and you try to knock other people's clubs out, and the goal is to be the last person standing. Albert and Race usually get everyone else out and end up going against each other, and Albert has a scar below his eye courtesy of Race because of this.
youtube
Crutchie: 3 ball patterns/siteswaps
Crutchie learns how to juggle three balls, decides he doesn't want anything to do with clubs, and then goes and learns a bunch of three ball tricks because they look cool as heck and can be done while sitting/standing relatively still. Sometimes people sit near him and juggle balls, but they've learned that if they do that he will likely start experimenting with stealing (in the juggling way, not the actual theft way).
instagram
And finally...
Davey: Numbers juggling and siteswaps
Davey knew how to juggle before he got to college, and since he was mostly practicing on his own he was kind of limited to learning numbers juggling and siteswap-type things. He joins this theoretical juggling club when he gets to college and immediately is very irritated by learning how to pass ("why is your inability to throw well my problem now?"). He figures it out eventually, but if he's going to interact with other people in a juggling pattern he prefers stealing over passing.
He's not as good of a juggler as the person in this video (no one is), but here's an example of what I mean:
instagram
You may have noticed Spot is not anywhere in here. That is for Plot Reasons! If you have read this far, thanks for reading my extra niche thoughts! I know I do very specific AUs, but this is a lot even for me.

Aftershock Day 4 Recap:
The first band of the day was Wargasm! They were the only band I saw all weekend that properly dressed for the heat. They were staring into the sun in 90°F/32°C weather, but they still put on a great show! Their energy was good, and they put in a lot of work while interacting with the crowd. Unfortunately they couldn't get a consistent mosh pit going, but I think that was moreso due to it being early on the 4th day and hot rather than a fault on their end. I had a great time jumping around and screaming lol.
Next up was Rain City Drive! We watched them from a bit of a distance so we could stand in the shade, but I was still singing and jumping. I'm fairly familiar with their music since they're on the radio a lot (specifically Sirius XM Octane). They sounded great, and did my two favorite songs! I had a really good time! They didn't have anything flashy going on, and I liked that. Sometimes it's cool to see a band that's just solid on their own without any gimmicks.
After that was Ayron Jones. I saw him last time he was at Aftershock, and he put on just as good of a show this time. His bassist is so fun to watch. That man is living his best life, and I love that for him. The set was a little short due to some technical issue, but what they were able to do was great! Unfortunately, right after this set ended was my first bad encounter of the day. Ayron threw a pick into the audience, and it landed right in front of me. A man that was at least 6 feet tall shoved me to the ground so he could grab it. I fell on my butt, and it was unpleasant. The dude bolted immediately after grabbing the pick. Such a jerk.
I stayed in the crowd to wait for Badflower. The friend that I went to San Francisco with was with me, but my dad was a bit behind us. We got really close to the stage at this point. We were 2 people from barricade. It was awesome! Badflower was incredible like always. This was my 4th time seeing them, and now they are officially the artist I've seen the most times. My only complaint about their set was that it was too short!!!!!!! I had so much fun, and it was awesome being so close to the stage! Also Josh (the singer) liked my Tweet earlier today, so that's cool!
I stayed in the same crowd to wait for I Prevail. Initially, my dad and I had planned to leave the crowd to go see Daughtry. Since I was so close to the front, it felt worth it to stay instead. After all, if I left the crowd there's no way I would've gotten very close for them. There's going to be some storytelling context before the set details. My friend and I befriended a couple that was next to us. They were super nice, and basically prepped us on what to expect from being at barricade for a heavier band. The dude was really cool and said he'd protect us if things got rough. His wife was also super cool and nice, but she also reaffirmed why I don't call out a-hole guys in crowds. Some dude apparently slammed her face into the barricade on Thursday and knocked her out. She had gnarly bruises on her face. As wonderful as most of the metal community is, it is important + scary to remember that there's a lot of big, mean guys out there that can and will hurt you if they feel like it. So horrible. Anyway, onto I Prevail's set. I was one person from barricade for about 3 songs. Everything was fine. We got pushed a little, but nothing serious. The pit wasn't next to us, and security was doing a great job with the crowdsurfers. I would've felt totally fine to stay in the crowd if it wasn't for the big dude that came barreling in. My area was mostly women, and this really big man slammed his way up to us. He was really aggressive, and he was smashing us all hard. He was hitting people, and he yanked my friend and slammed them back. A woman had to help me pull them forward, because that guy would've crushed them. This a-hole also wasn't helping with crowdsurfers, and several were coming over. Security yelled at this dude, but he refused to stop. He pushed my arm, and my wrist got smashed into someone's back in a bent position. It still hurts, but I don't think it's seriously injured. I even jammed my elbow into his stomach twice with literally all of the force I could to make him back off, but he didn't react at all. I think he was on something. That guy was absolutely terrifying. My friend needed to get out because it was unsafe, and I followed suit. Security lifted us like we weighed nothing. It felt very weird lol. I ended up getting back in the crowd for the last couple songs, but I stayed back for my safety. My dad was too far back to get to us, and he was next to the mosh pit the entire time. He actually found the couple from before the set after the band finished, and they're the ones that told him that my friend and I left the crowd. Long long long story short, I Prevail was incredible. I had a ton of fun, and it was awesome being so close for those first few songs. I wish I could've stayed up there, but that guy was literally the worst person I've encountered in all 5 years of my festival experiences.
We took a well needed break to eat after all of that, and then we headed to see Rancid! One of my friends actually found my dad and I as we were walking through the crowd. I wasn't expecting to see her that day, so it was a really nice surprise! I hung out with her for a minute before my dad and I made our way into the crowd. We were decently close for Rancid, and their set was fun! I was excited to see them because I wanted to jump/dance around. I don't have much to say about them other than they were really solid, and I had a good time.
Now onto Guns N' Roses!!!!! I waited over an hour and forty minutes to see them. There was over an hour between Rancid and their set, and then they came on stage over 30 minutes late. The biggest source of entertainment at that point was from the balloons and giant beach balls being passed around. The crowd vibes were pretty bad. We were mostly surrounded by Gen Xers that were either totally wasted or smoking non-stop. That sucked. The band made up for it though! I had a moment of "holy cow they're real" when they came on stage. They were everything I wanted to see, honestly. Slash is a legend and a god. I mostly watched Axl and Duff since they spent more time on my side of the stage. Slash stayed in one corner of the stage on the opposite side for most of the set. It was cool when he did come over though! Axl’s voice definitely took a couple songs to warm up, but once he got in his groove he sounded really good! My dad and I were both really excited to hear those high notes! He and I were singing and screaming the entire time. We had such a good time. I really never thought I'd be able to see them, and my dad never went to see them back in the day, so it was a really special set for both of us. Despite being dead tired, we still managed to jump around and headbang the whole time. You guys have no clue how hard I went for Paradise City lol. The crowd was so lame during it. I was jumping, headbanging, and screaming. 90% of the people around me just stood perfectly still. I didn't let the crowd get me down by any means, but I honestly expected a lot more from the crowd. The band deserved better tbh!! They were awesome though, and I'm so happy I was able to see them! It was a great end to a really great weekend.
I'm sad the festival is over, but I am enjoying lounging around and doing nothing lol. It was a hot and exhausting four days.
Pictures are 1. Badflower 🥰, 2. GN'R's drumset, 3. Slash + Axl 🤘, 4. The legend himself, Slash!!, 5. A cool picture from GN'R's set, 6. Me!!!! I made it to Aftershock's post about I Prevail's set!!

(i am So funny please Laugh)
(you don't have to answer all of them if that's too much i just think i am hilarious)
Pfffrt thanks for the ask
C7. [REDACTED] Here's a fun fact about Ordyr instead: formally, all the Archivists are referred as "it", because they are supposed to be an extension of the library itself. However, Ordyr thinks of herself as a woman, though she is proud of her title and function, and sees it as a sign of respect when people refer to her as it.
C11. Are Jared and Nehja friendly? Did they grow up together?
They did grow up in Kotburg at the same time, and it's not that big a place, especially for trans people so they know each other. They were one year apart in school and Jared looked up to Nehja a lot, but Nehja saw it mostly as an annoyance. They were busy untangling their own identity, and having every teenager who questioned their gender come to Nehja for guidance was too much pressure for them at the time. Jared in particular crossed a line, and that deeply impacted both of them - Nehja became both unfailingly polite yet resolutely cold to people, to discourage them from getting too comfortable, and Jared was ever after very careful about noticing and respecting people's boundaries. By the time they're both at the Conservatory, they have a cordial but distant relationship. They nod to each other across hallways, but don't really talk or interact beyond what's necessary.
W4. Is "gods above and below" an idiom? rooted in what?
Rule of cool tbh, but I should check so it's only used by characters of Pikish descent, as they're the one with a sun goddess and a bunch of gods roaming the earth.
W20. When was the history suite added to Halkion? why?
Oh that'a a fun and appropriate question considering you're the official Halkion artist ;p I need to establish a more specific timeline, but out of the four suites (Avatar, Artifacts, Divinity, and History) it's the only one not directly tied to old legends, but more "modern" ones (it's like... the original three are the equivalent of ancient mythology, and the History one is the equivalent of arthuriana). There's still about two hundred years before the figures from the first and second half of the suite. I think the addition of that suite is probably somewhere around 1470, when the borders of Zieh stabilize for the first time in several centuries, and the people have time to turn inwards again. The original game would be from 800 something, so Elaine and Amaris would have known that earlier version
W69. [REDACTED] There's a lot of things that the narrator says to Rae but then discredits in their own dialogue and one of these is exactly how much they see...

My "favorite" phenomena
When I'm too socially exhausted to answer the first 10 dms, or I'm asleep, or offline, or Do-Not-Disturb, or visibly busy playing a game or streaming art-- Or for example any singular person has sent 10 dms in sequence without yet getting a response-- and then seeing "So-and-so is typing..."
Its one of those times I have to wonder if I'm giving off the wrong vibes because it doesn't feel like a healthy social relation at all- especially not on my end wherein I feel like an emotional babysitter who's some sort of attention and head pats dispenser.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Okay I lied, this is very much so my least favorite phenomena in my life currently. (or at least a close second with 'people who don't warn you they're drunk / on drugs before hanging out')
For my business, for how I was raised, kindness is an automatic response. In that same way a waiter's job is to be friendly and kind no matter how annoying, poor-mannered, and messy a table is- I feel like there's an amount of annoying I have to put up with in the position as a public figure(?) of sorts, or at least as someone with an audience. Its almost as though each person who sends volleys of messages like this assume they're not only being completely healthy about the interaction but must also be the only one doing it
If I do end up taking personal time the guilt trips begin as though only my direct personalized approval drives them to create, and without it they have a blame figure as to why they'll never draw again. The classic being this exact phrase with this exact wording "Long time; no talk." followed very specifically by more pointed interrogation as to my whereabouts and failures to respond in timely fashion.
=-=-=-=-=-=-= That's the part that really gets me I guess. It happens and there are only two real options which are 1) Put up with it and deliver an apology to each person treating me like a 24/7 on-call motivational speaker more or less daily-- or 2) Remove them one after another each time it happens and give up on my 'any artist is worth investing in'
The real hard part, I suppose, is desperately wanting to pursue that 'any artist is worth investing in' teaching mindset, but without respect for boundaries and privacy and even just having a day off its just not possible.
I think at some point maybe I had a big conclusion in mind for this but it really comes down to "respect artists' boundaries. Yes I may make dumb things, or cool things, or good or bad, I cannot be the reason that someone else creates though.
Its too much pressure and responsibility when I have to be my own inspiration first. Or at least, if I spend all my time taking care of others, I have no time to care for myself or the creative things I do.

Hello! I'm not sure if your doing requests but have you thought of writing a compilation of everytime Jiho cooked for the members or a vlive featuring the Japanese line or WayV cooking? Or Jiho being professional on stage (like if the mic cuts off mid song)? Or Jiho going viral moments/compilations?
Also is there any Jiho and idol interactions we don't know about? Any Idols having crushes on her or idols being caught fangirling/fanboying that have gone viral?
Anyways, I love your writing!! ❤ Sorry for the long ask and questions!! Sending lots of love!! 💕
I'm always open for ideas, so if I like the request I'll definitely write it. Since there are a lot of cute ideas in this I'll keep them in my notes until "What Are We?" is over and then I'll see what I want to write. As for now, I'll answer your other questions <3
Any idol interactions people don't know about? YES!:
JiHo and Bangchan from Straykids have become friends and he has been helping her with learning some basics about producing songs
JiHo has hung out with D.O. from EXO ever since he's come back from the military. And before Chanyeol enlisted, the three of them had dinner together (JiHo is in love with Chanyeol's puppy Zzar)
JiHo and Giselle from Aespa are basically best friends after they worked together for 'Zoo'
When JiHo went to China in 2021, she met up with Tao (former EXO) and Lay (EXO) on separate occasions
Any idols fangirling/fanboying over JiHo:
During a variety show, some members of Treasure had to participate in a random dance. One of the songs they had to dance to was Favorite (Vampire) from NCT 127 and more specifically the chorus JiHo sings in. While the other members danced to it, the members in the back sang along and excitedly recreated the exact gestures JiHo does during her center part. During an interview JiHo talked about songs she was currently listening to and one of them was Treasure's songs. Treasure got asked if they knew about this during an interview and then some admitted that they were fans of NCT and JiHo
Heechul of Super Junior did a drinking show with two members of Winner, during the show they were asked about which junior group or artist they think is really cool and Seungyoon mentioned JiHo and said that she's very famous amongst YG artists and staff (there's also a rumour that YG tried to "take JiHo away" from SM during her hiatus)
It's rumoured JiHo might appear on Queendom in a later episode - as a guest co-host - and there's some scenes of LOONA and Kep1er fangirling about it "Did you hear JiHo sunbaenim might come [to the show]?" "EH?!" "I don't think I'll be able to contain myself if she comes-" "Hey! Get a hold of yourself!"
During a VLive, SF9 members Dawon, Hwiyoung and Chani revealed that they really wanted to get JiHo as a featuring in one of their performances from when they were on Kingdom. They said they even made contact through their company but she wasn't available at the time. The members were actually very sad about this because they heard JiHo wanted to do it really bad if she had the time. "If JiHo-nim was able to perform with us... I'm sure we would have been top 3!" "Maybe someday we could ask her to do a special collaboration." "A lot of our members are actually very big fans. So we were surprised when we heard she was rooting for us."
Twice reacted to a video of JiHo's "sexy dance" that she did during an interview once and they started yelling and cheering really loud
As for crushes, no one has really ever mentioned JiHo as their crush publicly besides Ryujin and the other ITZY members to tease her, but they're just playing around because Ryujin and JiHo are best friends.
I'll do another JiHo x other idols interaction post in the future as well, but for now I'll keep it at these ^^

What I Thought About "Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door" from The Owl House
Wow. They are really pushing it for that secret message, huh?
Anywho--Salutations, random people on the internet who certainly won’t read this! I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons!
I think it goes without saying at this point that Season Two of The Owl House is setting itself up as a season without filler. Now, filler episodes aren't always bad. Yes, it hurts when a series turns away from the main plot for a week. But at best, they're utilized as a chance for the writers to play around with the characters and developing said characters without it relating to the overarching story. So, some people who see that consider it a bad thing that a series doesn't have that many filler episodes.
I like to call those people: F**king morons.
Don't get me wrong, I see where some of you are coming from. And I'd be willing to agree...if The Owl House was a plot-driven series. Which it's not. It is a character-driven series. Because for every plot thread and narrative that the show presents, they always relate to the characters and develop them further each time these threads get brought up. For example, look at "Knock Knock Knockin’ on Hooty's Door" (It pains me just to write that). Several narratives move forward, and it’s all done to make the characters grow. And to explain how requires going into spoilers. So keep that in mind as you continue reading.
Now, let's review, shall we?
WHAT I LIKED
Hooty: Might as well start with the character that this episode is about.
To tell you the truth, I wasn't a huge fan when I found out we're getting a Hooty-centered episode. I've grown to love him over time, but he is a comedic character that's best used in small doses. Primarily due to how his voice is grating to me (My ears are still bleeding...). With that said, I do really love his contributions in "Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door" (Seriously, there couldn't have been a less awkward title?). Hooty's antics when trying to help everyone are as hilarious as they are heartwarming. He deeply cares for his friends but just doesn't understand how his plans could do some unintended harm, which is pretty lovable if you ask me. We also get some surprisingly great insight into his character, as he feels insecure about basically being the comic relief who doesn't really do that much other than being funny. Rarely do you get that level of dimension from a comedic character, and it's even more uncommon for that to work out as well as it does here. It once again proves just how competent the writing is in this series to the point where we get an episode about Hooty, and it's funny and heartwarming instead of being annoying. And whoever is responsible for that, you're the best.
Lilith’s Letter to Hooty: I mean it when I say that I love how Lilith kept her word about her and Hooty becoming penpals. Their friendship was something I would have never expected to love, and I'm still shocked that it works so well, so seeing it continue like this just warms me to the bone. Plus, it is pretty sweet that Lilith's kind words are what inspired Hooty to do what he's done in this episode...meaning it's Lilith we should thank here--SON OF A WITCH! Even when she's gone, she's still working her way into my heart!
King going through Puberty: What?! KING IS EVOLVING!
(There, I made a Pokemon reference. Do I get my cookie now?)
Eda Keeping Herself Awake to Train Herself: I'm willing to bet a large sum of money that this has everything to with Raine getting captured last week. If Eda was still the most powerful witch in the Isles, she might have actually saved them. But she isn't, and now the love of her life is in the clutches of a tyrant planning something that could potentially be the end of everything. So I can understand Eda pushing herself to her limit to get back on top again, as I would probably do the same. It's not healthy in any way, and Eda would be doing more harm than good. But when it comes to the people you love, logic doesn't always win out in the end.
Luz Wanting to Make her Way into Amity’s Heart by Making the Echo Mouse Happy: ...That's it. I Just...I just love everything about it, ok?
This was also when I knew that I was wrong to doubt that there would be zero Lumity in this episode. I realize my follies now, and I humbly apologize.
Hooty Teaching King About Demons: This was so funny. So, so funny. Probably doesn't come as a surprise, especially since The Owl House proves itself as a comedy before, but the jokes have never hit as frequently and as hard as they did here. From Hooty getting offended by King's dance to him and Dana's insert wanting a "DNA sample," everything managed to successfully make me lose my s**t. It does come at the expense of King suffering, but I can stomach that much more than if it were Eda or Luz. And, as a bonus, we get lore about how demons work, added with another great joke of King getting in trouble with Hooty for saying he already knows this stuff. Humor isn't always the show's strong suit, but when it works, it f**king works.
King Wanting to Know What he Is: But despite how funny King's vignette was, we still get to see more of his character grow. We learn that he's frustrated now that there's this big question mark over his life now, feeling extra angry that his father "abandoned" him to leave such a present mystery. It shows the hidden resentment he has that Lilith inadvertently brought out, made even worse when King's father hasn't responded to the video yet. King hasn't really gotten that much development until "Echoes of the Past," so it's pretty cool that the writers haven't really slowed down on it. Especially when it leads to these great moments of King venting his frustrations.
King’s Shouting Powers: KING learned FUS RO DAH!
(And now that's a Pokemon reference AND a Skyrim reference. WHERE'S MY GOSH DANG COOKIE!?)
Eda’s Nightmare: If King's vignette hits you hard with the laughs, Eda's will absolutely hit you harder with the feels (never make me say "feels" unironically again). Knowing that Eda's life got thoroughly screwed over by the curse is something we could figure out on her own. But seeing just how much the curse ruined her life and tore apart relationships that mean the world to her really does a swell job at ripping apart the soul. What's even more tragic is, technically speaking, it's all sort of Eda's fault too. She kept hiding the curse, refusing to be a burden to others who would do all they could to help. If she had only been open and honest, things probably wouldn't have changed much, but they most likely would have been better than they are now.
Eda Attacked her Father as the Owl Beast: ...I don't know what I was expecting when "Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances" hinted that there was some possible tension between Eda and her father...but it definitely wasn't this.
The fact that we see blood where his eye used to be doesn't make things any happier, either.
Raine Broke Up with Eda: Before we get into anything else, let's celebrate the fact that it's now confirmed that Eda and Raine really did use to date in the past. Because this show is just f**king phenomenal with its LGBTQA+ representation!
But, seriously, this is a fantastic reveal that goes far beyond just shipping...well, sort of. It shines a new light on Eda and Raine's interactions from last week, revealing that while they're not a couple anymore, they still very much love each other. It helps make their last interaction especially tragic, as they were both on the same page now and could very well be together again. Only for them to be forced apart for the second time in a way that's much worse than the first. And I frickin' adore that this series changes the impact of one episode one week later. Again, it shows just how competent these writers are, and kudos to them for making something so...perfect.
The Moon Person: WHO THE FU--Nope. Nope! We have more than enough mystery bulls**t to deal with through CreepyLuz and Philip Wittebane, so I am PUTTING YOU ON THE BACKBURNER FOR NOW!
(They're probably nothing more than a one-off character, anyway)
The Owl Beast and Eda are Connected: Through visuals alone, we, the audience, can clue into what the curse really means. The Owl Beast doesn't want to be a part of Eda as much as she doesn't want it to be a part of her. Whether they like it or not, and they very much don't, they're stuck together. The thing is, and this is what I love the most, they still decide to make the best of their situation rather than let it ruin their lives even more. This might be the best possible turn Eda's curse could have made. It'll still affect her, and there are probably more negatives than positives, but at least now, it's not the worst thing in the world. And I feel like that's all anyone can ask when in a position like her own.
Eda's “Pretty Dream”: I don't know what emotions are toiling inside me more with this moment. Awe and wonder over how beautiful Eda's dream is, or heartbreak over the implication that she has only had nightmares since getting cursed...I'm gonna say both. Yeah, it's definitely both.
Eda’s Harpie Form: Well, fan artists are gonna have a field day with this...especially the freaks.
(You know who you are. And you're weird!)
Luz Calling Amity a “Cotton-Candy Haired Goddess”: ...Have I ever mentioned how much I love this show?
Hooty Kidnapped Amity: ...Hooty, if your stupidity wasn't charming, I would be more than willing to call the authorities over how you kidnapped a girl in your version of a knapsack and locked her in the basement. For that is going to ring SO MANY alarm bells in people's heads.
Amity and Luz Stuck in a Tunnel of Love: *Smacks lips* Mmm. The adorable awkwardness of this moment is just *chef's kiss* magnifique!
Luz being afraid of getting made fun of:
Amity’s look of hope: I mean...just...f**king--LOOK AT HER:
Tumblr media
That is the look of a girl who, while embarrassed as hell, still is ecstatic to learn for a brief moment, everything that she is hoping for has a high chance of being real. Who, in their right mind, wouldn't go "Aw!" at something so pure and innocent?!
Luz Destroying the Tunnel of Love: This is how to effectively utilize dramatic irony. The audience can understand why Luz is tearing the place apart because she explicitly states that she's afraid of Amity rejecting her in the end. They also know that's bogus, thus making it extra painful to watch Amity's heart break more and more with each second (which is perfectly represented through Amity's expressions). You feel bad for both of them, and even worse when you know that it can easily be prevented by the simple art of communication. That's what makes it great dramatic irony. Knowing the point of view of each character results in a scene that evokes emotions in two different ways.
Hooty’s Breakdown: This was...genuinely hard to watch. Not that it was badly written, far from it. It just...hurt seeing how destroyed Hooty was when he realized he failed the people he has such an admiration for. On the upside, a wholesome moment follows soon after as the Owl House gang tries to reassure Hooty that he's done a lot of good that night. It's a pure action that shows even though Hooty gets on their nerves all the time, they still care about him...damn it. I think I'm gonna cry.
Eda’s Advice for Luz: ...Eda...You're the best.
You found out that your surrogate daughter wants to ask a girl out, and not only were you quick to deliver the best possible advice ("Just go for it!"), but you also quickly reassure her that it doesn't need to be perfect.
And you know what? That's it. Eda is the best cartoon mom! She might not technically be Luz's mom, but I don't give a s**t because she is the best!
Luz and Amity Ask Each Other Out: Shh-sh-sh-sh...
Do you hear that?
...
...
...It's the sound of dozens of Lumity fans collectively losing their s**t...and I'm one of them.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO!
IT!
IS!
CANON!
AH-HAHAHAHAHA!
HOLY S**T! Holy s**t! Holy s**t...might just be the best way I could possibly describe this! Finally, after all the waiting, speculating, and praying, THESE TWO IDIOTS FINALLY GOT TOGETHER! AND IT WAS PERFECT! I mean, it was awkward as s**t, but that's what makes it perfect! You know why? You wanna--Hey! *snaps fingers*. You want to know why? It's because they're teenagers. Of f**king course, it's going to be awkward! This is their first relationship, so there will be a lot of missteps along the way. And that, in itself, brings me to the best (second best part?) thing about it happening in episode eight of the new seasons. Most endgame couples get together in the climax or even at the end of the series. But to have them get together this early on, means there will be quite a few episodes dedicated to showing them grow as a couple.
And better than that--EVEN F**KING BETTER THAN THAT--dozens of kids are going to see these two, a realistic depiction of young love that just so happens to involve two girls, and are going to learn once and for all that there is nothing wrong with being who they are. That fact alone is f**king incredible. Yes, it sucks that season three got cut short, and we'll have even less time with Luz and Amity, but knowing how many kids have felt seen today almost makes it worth it in the end.
And if I see one mother f**ker saying this was poorly paced, I might just hunt them down for SPORT...Sorry if that was an overreaction. I'M JUST SO HAPPY! Because they're happy! Look at them. Listen to them! It's so...GAH-HAHAHA!
“They’re adorable! And deserve all the happiness!”: You're darn right, Hooty! You're darn right.
King’s Father(?) Shows Up: What the--WHAT?! They're doing this now?! Here?! After everything else?
Oh, man. What could this mean? What dynamic changes will this cause in the main cast? How could the writers fit this in during the next two episodes? And what--
Hooty Eats the Letter: ...Pfffft--HAHAHAHA!
Oh, man...I should be mad, and I wouldn't blame others if they are...but that is too much of a brilliant f**k you that I can't help but appreciate it. Bravo writers. Bravo.
WHAT I DISLIKED
...Dislikes? Dislikes? You would honestly believe that after everything I witnessed in this episode, that I would have the gull to list anything wrong with it?!
HOW DARE YOU ASSUME THAT I WOULD BE SO CALLUS TO--Actually, I do kind of have an issue with the episode's title. It's just too much of an awkward mouthful for me to get behind. I understand that the writers wanted to sneak the K into the secret message, but were there really no other titles starting with K that they couldn't come up with?
But that's just a personal issue, and in no way do I think anybody else would feel the same way. Especially with how well-written everything else is anyway.
IN CONCLUSION
"Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door" (title aside) is another A+ episode. It was hilarious, heart-wrenching, and downright adorable while keeping me entertained with every minute. I'm sure there are some issues I was willing to ignore due to how expertly written everything else was, but why bother looking for the chinks in the armor when I could just enjoy a perfect episode for being so...perfect! Some of you might be willing to disagree with me, but to that, I say: Don't knock it till you've tried it.
(Now, if you don't excuse me, I'm going to go lie down. It's...It's been a day.)

I HAD THE BEST BYLER DREAM LAST NIGHT AND I REALLY WANNA SHARE IT WITH YOU ALL
it's so long (literally 2k words) so im gonna put it under the cut haha <3
so basically this would take place after mike and will start dating or something, idk exactly the time frame (i picture them being like 18 or something and this is the summer before college) and will goes to this summer arts program for like 2/3 months (i dunno how long american summer is but something like that) and its all the way far from home so there is dorms and stuff and he's "not in hawkins anymore" (no pun intended)
mike and will decide after will finishes his school they'd go to college together (cuz they're gonna be comic book artists together bc thats boyfriend shit) so throughout these months he's practically just waiting for will (<333333)
so one specific scene i remember from my dream involved will and mike getting off the bus to the school and then they hug and then mike grabs wills hand and brings him behind the bus and then he gives will a biggg kiss bc he won't be able to kiss him for 3 months. then they say they love each other and will gives him another quick kiss and is like "two kisses". they agree they'd call each other every day.
so will goes inside and mike goes back on the bus and goes home.
and basically the whole day is a whirl, until the end of it, in which mike is sitting in the kitchen near the phone waiting for like 3 hours for will to call, and will doesn't end up calling.
AND THEN IT GETS SPICYYYYY
so meanwhile at the arts program will asks like the front desk or something if he can call mike and they say phone is offlimits and they don't let him call mike
so then will goes to sleep and he's paranoid that he thinks mike is gonna hate him or something like that
mk than the next day in class there is this girl (they didn't reveal her name in the dream, ill call her stella) so stella is basically looking at will the entire class but will doesn't know it
so when they exit the class stella's like "hi" and will says "hi"
then stella says "i like your painting."
will is like rlly weirded out so he goes "thanks?"
"i um- hope this doesn't sound weird but i have no friends, do you want to be mine?"
"sure"
and then end of scene (this does not sound like a normal conversation but it's my dream so it doesn't have to make sense"
so BACK AT HAWKINS mike is still sleeping even tho it's like 3 pm because yk depressed boyfriend shit but then the PHONE RINGS and mike gets out of bed frantically and goes to the phone and he picks it up and is like "will?" and then it answers "it's el, idiot"
i feel like this is important for context but el speaks english very well now and hoppers back and she lives with hopper and not the byers anymore. ANYWAYS
el says "how's will?"
mike says "idk he didn't call"
"he didn't?"
"no, he didn't"
"okay. well maybe he will call later"
"yeah mb"
"wanna come over"
"ok"
so mike hangs up and gets changed and goes to el's house bc they r a couple o' besties and when he gets there it's like a therapy sessions bc mike usally talks to will every single day and he can't for like 3 months (unless will calls, but he's not going to) so he accepts he's gonna be depressed for 3 months and he's just talking to el about how he's gonna miss him so much and no be able to see his face and that shit
so el's like "well do u wanna do something to take ur mind off of him"
and mike's like "no im not gonna replace will" (I SCREAMED IN MY DREAM SRSLY)
but than el says "okay. guess im gonna go to the mall by myself" (ig starcourt is rebuilt by now)
and than mike bolts up and is like "fine"
"we can by something for will"
"okay yay"
so then they go to starcourt yasss!!
anyways back at the art school will is having lunch and stella is with he friends (even tho she said she doesn't have any friends) and one of her friends is like "omg did you see _____ he's so hot"
and another friend says "YESS! but ____ is cuter"
"what abt u stella? who do u have ur eyes on"
she says "byers" BUT NOOOOOOO WILL IS MIKES MAN
and they say "ew that kid who came back to life"
she says "yea. but he's cute, and shy, and once i wrap them around my finger i can get them to do anything"
so then she goes to sit down next to will at lunch
"hi will"
"hi"
"hru"
"im good"
"okay. good." and she gets upset because will goes ask how she is but she keeps her urging rage inside. and than they have this weird conversation and will is uncomfortable the whole time bc shes all like flirting with him and will is seeing someone obvi
but then she puts a hand on will's shoulder and he's shaking and then says something (idk what it is it wasn't explaining in my dream) then will stands up and runs to the bathroom. so he's just sitting in the stalls crying.
okay back at starcourt this part wasn't shown in my dream but im just gonna make up that mike and el go looking around starcourt for something for will (sort of like the mike/lucas/will montage where they were looking for stuff for el) and then i guess they find something for will and i don't have the slightest idea what they could have got for him BUT THEY GOT HIM SOMETHING GOOD
so mike's all happy but they'res still that depression inside of him lol
so fast forward a week, it really isn't explained but ill just make up that will still hasn't called mike, and he's super sad and all sleeping in but decides to look through his good ol binder full of will's drawings and in the arts school will and stella have a few more interactions im sure which are still very uncomfortable
okay so it's lunch again in the cafeteria and somehow will and stella are talking again but somehow it ends in stella kissing will and will like pulls away immediatley and is like "what is wrong with you!?"
and she says "what?"
"i'm seeing someone!"
"oh i uh- i didn't know."
the whole cafeteria is staring at them
so will's freaking out almost on the verge of a panic attack "idk what to do, he's gonna hate me and-"
"he?"
will has the look on his face like shit shit shit oh fuck no
"you're gay?"
"i-"
and will runs off once again. and everyone in the whole cafeteria knows that he's day and ofc with everybody being homophobic will knows it's not good at all bc everyone's gonna bully him
so then the next day he goes to class and the teacher is like "does anyone care to tell me where ___ is?" (it would be like a math question like 'where x is' but in art idkkk) and then the teacher calls on "will? can you tell me where ___ is?" and they'res a pause and then the teacher says "or perhaps you'd want to find your boyfriend instead?" (giving me anne with an e vibes prolly cuz i did a rewatch last weekend but i won't explain more in case some people haven't watched it but) anyways will stands up from his seat, everyone is looking at him, and he's shaking and so concerned but then he goes "fuck. you" badass will yeaaaa thats my boy
so then he runs out of the classroom and out of the school in a really cool montage way but then he realizes he's like 2 hours away from home but he runs and runs and he goes to a random bustop (it's not even garanteed if it takes him to hawkins but whatever) he gets on and tries to go back to hawkins.
and soon enough, he gets there, and immediatley goes to the wheelers because he needs to see mike and apologize for everything. so he's at the wheelers, and rings the doorbell, realizing he's still in his uniform lol but karen answers and mike is upstairs in his room sulking (i picture it would be 8 pm by now) so will asks for mike and karen calls mike. mike groans obviously because he doesn't know it's his boy, but he comes down, karen gets out of the way and as soon as he sees will they have a really big hug and it's super sweet and my heart UFHEIOSKA
mike says his usual "are you okay?" and mike is still confused as shit but will says "i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry" and mike says "you don't have to be sorry for anyrhing" but will says "ill explain"
so then they go to will's room, side-by-side on his bed and will starts explaining everything
(this is mostly improvised by me but it's still pretty similar to the dream)
"i hated it."
"the school?"
"yeah. there was no you, (mike blushes lmao), everything was terrible, i felt so lonely, they didn't let me call you-"
"what?"
"they said the phone was off limits. i wanted to talk to you so bad and i thought you'd hate me"
"i could never hate you, will, even if i tried." will smiles
"and then there was this girl, and she hit on me and i didn't know what to do bc i'd be the face of the school if i told her i was dating you and was gay and today she kissed me"
"WHAT"
"im sorry im sorry i didn't kiss back and i was so scared bc i never was in a relationship before and i was so scared it was considered cheating-"
and mike LAUGHSS
"what? mike? what's wrong?"
"if you don't do anything back, it's not considerd 'cheating'"
"oh. good. are you mad at me?"
"what? no! no never!" so mike opens his arms and says "come here" so will and mike hug or something like that and then mike says "do you need me to beat her up?"
and will says "you can't even beat eggs. besides, your noodle arms wouldn't be able to do harm to even a fly"
so mike laughs and says "i'm glad your home"
so will blurts "i cursed out a teacher"
"you? cursing?"
"yes."
"might have to start calling you a bad boy now"
will just smiles and says "i love you"
and mike says "i love you too"
AND THEN END AND IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF BC I LOVE THIS DREAM LIKE I CAN'T BELIEVE MY BRAIN THOUGHT OF THIS BUT IM OBSESSED
ALSO ONCE I FINISH WYBMFFAE ILL PROBABLY WRITE THIS INTO A FULL BLOWN FIC BUT AHIHFUSAH
edit: i have no idea what mike did with the present him and el bought for will but i guess they ended up giving it to him lol

Ikevamp Boys In Vegas
Tumblr media
Leonardo:
Ok Leo wouldn’t really be into the expensive nightlife part of Vegas. He’d probably like the old bars and pubs in downtown Vegas where all the original casinos are. He’d also like to explore the nearby mining ghost downs (Rhyolite Ghost Town). (He’d also take everyone to the ghost tours of those places at night). He would probably just wake up and leave the hotel and when all the others wake up they can’t find him but don’t really question it since they probably expected him to go off exploring on his own. He would also go to the Neon Graveyard and Madame Tussaud’s + any other cool art display with Vincent and Theo. He would take MC to the gondolas in the Venetian hotel. They would also go to the Ceaser’s Palace mall and just run around there for hours looking at different stores and get lost. He’d like the Avengers Exhibit and he’d try to make some of the things he saw there. (There was also a Da Vinci exhibit that MC would definitely take him to see). One time Leo and Dazai were smoking together at a fancy rooftop bar and ended up sharing a blunt with Snoop Dogg. Both of them wake up the next day thinking it was a fever dream. (Listen I just really think Leo and Snoop Dogg would be good friends. They are basically the same person)
Arthur:
He would immediately go to an expensive rooftop bar to flirt with women (If MC isn't part of this). His favorite places would be the strip clubs and bars (he drags Theo with him). He and Comte go to a Burlesque club together. He got kicked out of a bar once because he was unknowingly hitting on someone’s wife. This boy would also take Theo Gucci shopping with him. The two of them will probably get into several bar fights and either get kicked out or arrested. (Comte bails them out). He would take pictures with every showgirl he meets and gets Theo in on some of them (Theo is just standing there glaring at the camera with his arms crossed). He loved going to the Pitbull concert, wants to be called Mr. Worldwide now but no one will call him that. He would also go to Casinos and somehow win big to impress MC. Security is keeping an eye on him.
Comte:
One of the chillest ones on the trip. He just goes to fancy restaurants and watches Cirque Du Soliel shows. Every time you see him he just has a glass of expensive wine. He takes Leo to clubs with him, even though they just sit by the bar the whole time having a drinking competition. Comte also runs into Arthur at a Burlesque club. (This man would be into burlesque you can’t tell me otherwise).  He mostly just manages everyone’s schedule, helps them book tickets for whatever they want to do, and occasionally bails people out. Also goes to Italian restaurants with Leo (because Vegas has the best Italian food I’ve ever had ong) What? No ofc its not a date. He buys MC a new dress and leaves it on her bed with a note telling her to be ready by 6 and takes her to an exclusive restaurant in a limo. He goes all out for their date.
Shakespeare:
Bruh he would absolutely LOVE all the different shows. The whole environment that THRIVES off entertainment. This would be his dream city. He would somehow get backstage for a Variety show and help them add scenes and dance numbers. He’d come back with so many ideas for his own plays. He would also follow around some of the wilder residents to see if they do something he can include in his plays. I also believe he’d somehow find the most romantic places to take MC if she was there with them. He would also be interested in the Mob Museum and the mafia history. He would LOVE Criss Angel’s Mindfreak show (No I’m not just saying that because I love it too)
Napoleon:
I think he would like exploring the various hotels more than going out clubbing. Let’s be honest, Comte would get the super expensive suites so Napoleon would just be sleeping in half the day. He would use it as a chance to unwind and would take full advantage of the room service and spas. He would go to the pool with MC and Sebastian. I can see him being everyone’s designated photographer and bag holder. If MC wants to go somewhere he would come with her to make sure she gets there safely (The amount of creepy old men who have stared at me when I walk through casinos is gross).
Vincent:
He and Theo would definitely go to the Neon Graveyard with Leo. They would also love seeing the abstract art pieces and murals that are all over downtown Las Vegas. He would be so amazed seeing the seasonal decorations in the Bellagio hotel. MC would take him to the Van Gogh art gallery so he and Theo could see how successful his art has become. He also like exploring the hotel with everyone and going to the pool to relax. He would take amazing pictures of MC and make an album for her. One time he was walking to a show with everyone when a few showgirls asked if he wanted to take a picture. And being the absolute angel he is, he told them how beautiful they are and just had the most wholesome heart- stealing interaction with them.
Theo:
He would go to old bars and pubs with Leo and Arthur in downtown Vegas (They got into a bar fight that Leo helped them hide from Comte). Arthur would drag him to various clubs but I think he would have an overall artistic appreciation for Burlesque. I think he’d be happy to see that artistic expression isn't being censored anymore like it was in his time. MC would take him and Vincent to the Van Gogh exhibit. He would also love the different murals and abstract art that's all over downtown Las Vegas. MC would buy him one of those glass art sculptures and he would be all “oh Hondje brought me a toy?” but he would actually be super touched and would blush when she gave it to him. Arthur would also drag him into taking pictures with various showgirls and then would get jealous when Theo gets more attention from them (even though Theo isn’t a big fan of it).
Isaac:
Isaac would go to all the different museum exhibits with Leo, MC, and the Van Gogh. He would also enjoy the Avengers Exhibit because of all the crazy technology and scientific concepts used in creating it. He would also go to the spas with Napoleon and MC because that boy needs to relax himself. I think most of the time he would either stick with Leo, Napoleon or MC because Vegas is... a lot and he might get overwhelmed. Arthur would rope him into taking a picture with the Showgirls and he would be flustered for the rest of the day. He mostly just gets dragged into whatever activities the others are doing.
Dazai:
Dazai would love all the different comedy shows. He would also be exploring the hotels but instead of finding the spa he would find the most random hidden storage areas and rooms of the hotel. By the end of the trip he would somehow know the whole hotel inside out. One time he went missing and no one could find them until he came down the elevator with this rich elderly couple who gave him a tour of their whole VIP floor. He would also go out to bars with Leo in the middle of the night and they’d come back and just smoke together on the balcony. He would find the best obscure dessert places in the whole city and somehow make friends with a celebrity that he met purely by accident. (He just shows up to lunch with Pitbull one day and he’s like “yeah I just met him in the bathroom”. MC and Sebastian are  s h o o k)
Mozart:
Mozart would be very interested in seeing the street musicians and how they're able to play songs from everyday objects. He, Comte, and MC go shopping together and then they’d go to exclusive lounges together. He gets dragged to clubs by everyone but god forbid he gets touched by a sweaty person dancing, he will LOOSE IT. He gives pointers to the DJs and he actually likes listening to different genres of music. (Funny story, one time my dad went to a club in Vegas where Calvin Harris was DJing and he gave him tips on how to mix songs. He had no idea who Calvin Harris was). Mozart loves the spa and huge bathrooms, hates casinos since he thinks they're noisy and filthy. He goes to the mall and buys expensive skincare items.
Jean:
Poor boy is so lost. Just like Isaac he kind of gets dragged everywhere. He likes going to the lounges with MC and Mozart but most of the time he will just want to enjoy the hotel room alone. MC doesn't want him to be alone the whole time so she takes him to see the Bellagio decorations and takes adorable candid pictures of him while he's there. He is amazed at how they were able to create something like that. He’s also amazed at the fountain show that MC takes him to at night. Mozart and MC take Jean with them when they goes shopping and he buys Jean some nice things (because he DESERVES IT). Would avoid clubs at all costs and if he somehow gets dragged there by everyone he leaves the first chance he gets.
Sebastian:
Like Shakespeare, Sebastian also follows around the residents, seeing how they react to such a new environment. He takes notes on all their activities and exchanges info with Shakespeare. He made all the reservations and keeps track of everyone’s itinerary. He is the only other person who knows about Arthur and Theo’s bar fight because Leo told him in exchange for modern cigarettes. He was so excited when Napoleon asked him to join him in their spa trip. Most of the time Sebastian goes with Comte and Napoleon to their activities. He would also love seeing some of the historical exhibits, like the Titanic and Ancient Egypt ones in the Luxor hotel. He’s mainly just happy to have enough free time to write as much info in his book as he wants.

Kingdom Round 3, pt. 2: How to discourage idols and kill versatility in K-pop - a guide by "experts".
As in my last post I'll talk about my thoughts on the performances, but mostly I'll question the freaking ranking because wth those experts should really reveal themselves at this point (I'm salty). Anyways, let's get into it.
1. A small "disappointment" and two big surprises.
ATEEZ: Oh guys the beginning made me emotional because it reminded me hardcore of Block B Very Good hahaha. Generally I must say, ATEEZ rearrangements are always good. It just sounded very ATEEZ-ish, and that's cool. I personally prefer the original Rhythm Ta over the rearrangement tho. About the performance, I don't have any criticism I think. I personally found that rope scene a bit strange tho, and overall I just wasn't impressed by that stage. Possibly because nothing can top the Symphony Nr.9 for me hahaha.
BTOB: First of all, SKZ X BTOB interactions are peak comedy I loved this so much. Minhyuk fangirling on SKZ back door stage is me tho. And "Kingdom is 15+ right?" Oh man I love those dudes.
About the concept, totally loved it because it was super fun to watch. I was worried beforehand because I couldn't imagine anyone pulling off SKZ' powerful rap. They didn't tho. They did it their own way and I was surprised. The meaning change to a more uh...mature sorta concept was also quite interesting. The moment Eunkwang knocked and opened the door: chefkiss. Those lyrics? Rude but chefkiss. I in general really liked the rearrangement, but in the end it lost its power a bit. Maybe also because I have the original Back Door burned into my brain and the ending just rocks af. But honestly, my brain also was fried by THIS:
Tumblr media
[*my edit/gif - I made a full gifset in that style now]
Stray Kids: I must say, I was a bit scared before because anyone having to do a BTOB cover must have absolutely stable vocals. This was the stage I was most concerned about when I heard about the song choices. Without a reason. Because SKZ absolutely killed it. Sure, I.N didn't hit that note as it was planned but let me tell you, it didn't affect my enjoyment of this stage at all. The stage setting? Fantastic. Changbin's rap sounded as if he's in utter pain and despair, Felix added to that with his hyper low tone part which was ABSOLUTELY cool. This was just great, full of feels, and I have NO criticism, bye.
Recap: When thinking about the past 6 performances, I feel that ATEEZ and iKON did the best job with making the others' song their own. In my eyes, SF9 and TBZ both stayed in their comfort zone with their song choices, while BTOB and SKZ took on the extreme challenge to pick songs that are basically the opposite of what they usually do. As I Iove versatility and surprises, SKZ and BTOB have a special place in my heart with those two stages.
Hence, my personal ranking looks as follows:
1. BTOB & SKZ (tied): For me those were the biggest surprises and caused the biggest enjoyment and entertainment for me. If I HAD TO choose a first place, I'd pick BTOB - because Back Door is one of my FAVOURITE songs of all time, and solely evaluating the songs, I heavily prefer Back Door over I'll be your man. Anyways, with that ranking, SKZ jumped from my personal lowest rank in the first round to my personal highest rank.
2. SF9: After seeing SF9's stage last week, I was sure that I'll have them as #1 in today's post. I loved everything about the performance (besides the weird gun dance sry), and I especially loved how they stepped up their game without making the perfomance too huge and too overwhelming. Nevertheless, due to the fact they stayed pretty close to their usual style, I'll rank them 2nd because I was more impressed by the others' style change.
3. iKON / ATEEZ: The performances were good, but to me personally they were absolutely not memorable. It's a matter of taste after all.
4. TBZ: I know, I again rank them last. And again, no I don't hate them. I simply neither am touched by their stages, nor do I understand their plots. So I once again rank them last. I don't find their performances bad tho, because as all groups, they're doing an amazing job. The stages are simply not my cup of tea.
2. Oh you prove that you're a versatile artist? That must be punished!
↑ That's how I imagine the experts' thoughts. Expert ranking was as follows: ATEEZ / TBZ / iKON / SF9 / BTOB / SKZ.
Okay I must say. Which freaking expert would place SKZ last??? I'm not biased in the slightest, if I'm biased then for SF9 and BTOB, but bruh. SKZ last? That's like, ridiculous. Considering the immense challenge SKZ had from switching from their usual style to freaking I'll be your man?
I don't know man, I can't take this ranking seriously. I really wish we'd know what the criteria is...It's a mystery to me how this could happen. Those boys get punished for stepping out of their comfort zone and doing an amazing job? Literally same story with BTOB. Both groups completely stepped outta their comfort zone and that's what they got for it...Well done, experts, well done. This is how you destroy versatility in K-pop, but sure, go on.
Honestly at this point I hope stays and melodies work together to catapult both groups up in the ranking because this is just utter nonsense...
3. Ya all groups, why don't you support your exchange partners :')))))))
↑ This is me hysterically laughing and crying at the same time at the fact that they don't vote for each other. Groups' ranking was as follows: ATEEZ / SF9 / BTOB / iKON / SKZ / TBZ.
Honestly my only explanation for this result is that the groups don't vote for those people they see as their biggest opponents? It's weird man. I personally for example don't understand why the groups which exchange songs don't vote for each other? None of the performances was bad, and I think it's low-key a matter of respect to give the group you exchanged songs with one of your votes? Because after all they tried their best to present your song in a presentable way even tho it's not their own? Idk man. I don't like this weird feeling of "hostility". But might only be my own feeling idk hahahahaha.
Honestly I wish we'd get to see the groups' evaluation and reasoning behind their choices...
That was it from my side this week...As always, thanks for reading! As for next episode, I'm super excited to see proper interactions and them finally having fun...ouf and after all those years Minhyuk going back to vault jumping I'm hyped hahahah. And now I'll go rewatch SKZ and BTOB lol.

Fable IV rant:
I'm so pumped up for the 23rd because everything has led me to believe that Fable 4 will be announced this year and the game's existence has been confirmed for a while anyway it's just a matter of time of when will Fable 4 show itself. It's a badly kept secret tbh.
So to those who don't mind a big rant or wish to add on to my rant- here we go!
Can you imagine how good the graphics would be for this game, we've all seen modern games, surely, and they're all bloody fantastic looking. Fable Legends is technically the most recent Fable game despite it being a free to play online game
and that it's cancelled
but it also had a gorgeous look to it all! And the character models did great justice to the concept art and honestly that has my hopes real high because I love the concept art of Fable, specifically from Mike McCarthy, so exaggerated and recognisable- yet in all the games I can confidently say they did not do justice to his character design, specifically for Reaver. Sure, he looks stunning in the third game, but not quite what he looks like in his concept art sadly.

But also, since Fable was made in Unreal Engine (I'm pretty sure at least) we've seen examples of what can be done in Unreal Engine now and it's absolutely breath taking!
If you haven't seen here are some examples and they're so life-like.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving on from graphics!
Since Playground Games is behind the development of Fable 4, they would be spectacular at an open spaced world, judging from the Forza games.
I always loved the open world feature added to Fable, it made things more adventurous and you could do so many things that weren't at all related to the main quest to progress the story and it was just thrilling to see there were other things going on! I'd love to just have my dog companion running through fields, fighting enemies left and right and finding buried treasure or forgotten chests.
Run into strangers who request aid in something silly or rather serious and it would be up to you with how you go about the quest or if you even accept it to get renown or gold. Cause a massacre in towns and villages, running off with low morality and plentiful loot- oh one could fantasise of this all day.
Story, characters, writing and voices.
Fable has always had a fun environment of fantasy and a rather good story (despite the curse of mundane or pathetic boss fights in which I hope Fable 4 breaks this cycle) but the one thing that's always kept me on my feet in the games is the writing and the characters. It always just tried not to take itself too seriously, throwing in absurd quests that probably requires cheese or a really weird-looking outfit. It always kept my attention rather than just pure edge and seriousness of life or death.
The characters are a given, the writing done for them all is perfect in my eyes, I love hearing the variations of how characters of NPCs interacted (enough so that I even bought two of the Fable books written by Peter David). Despite Fable 3 not being the greatest at it's time, I found myself absolutely enjoy the characters for how they were- I even cried over Walter's death because it genuinely felt like I lost somebody pretty close (RIP Walter🙏). The writing and the chosen voice actors were superb and I'd love more of it.
I hope this time we can receive a full story instead of how Fable 2 and 3 were where plenty of plot points and such were cut out due to time constraints- thanks Microsoft, very cool. I'm still in anguish when listening to the Developer's Diary 3 of Fable 3 hearing lines that were just never said in the final product and it was definitely not just additional lines that weren't required as it seemed to mention entirely different things that weren't in the game; i.e. Reaver talks about his pirates in Bloodstone and how he misses them- in the final product he never mentions it and it's even shown that he's tried to completely bury his pirate past for whatever reason.
The pacing in Fable 3 was rather strange too, it felt like the revolution should've lasted longer.
Another hope of mine is to have choices that aren't so painfully black-and-white because it's very obvious which is the good or bad option to a scenario- personally for me I'd like to be morally grey rather than pure good or pure evil.
They better have kept the mechanic of your actions affecting your appearance too to the point where you grow horns and get cracked magma-like skin or this slight glow and aura around you and this flawless skin. It kind of died down in Fable 3, only looking more tired or have completely black eyes and the good- eh yeah not much I can say for when you're good. Purity and corruption seemed to also vanish in Fable 3 (at least I think) since you couldn't really change prices of the homes you were renting out, unless I've been a big goof who didn't arrange the rent prices in the game because I didn't know how.
Combat
Combat in all the games was rather straight forward, especially in Fable 2 and 3 where everything was just easy to beat or you could get overpowered around the start of the game. I'd hope the combat improves greatly this time and even bring back real consequences to dying instead of immediate revival with some lost experience and a scar. We need more serious consequences to your actions (this can be applied to all decisions rather than just if you die in a battle) even if it's just having to reload the last checkpoint. Makes things more challenging this way.
Another thing is to make boss fights less repetitive and simple- sure I can forgive it if the boss is from around the start but if they had phases you had to keep ontop of and didn't rely on summoning a bajillion other enemies to strike you, I'd be ever so grateful.
And if there's other characters fighting along side you, I'd hope they'd genuinely be helpful and keep up to speed with the player. I'm sure the AI in the past was the problem for this as AI wasn't at its best during that time so characters fighting by you didn't do too much or just did whatever that wasn't helpful. Now though, AI has improved immensely (I mean look at The Last Of Us 2, the AI is👌) and due to this, I'm sure characters would make battles more fun and the characters be more involved with the fight and even story.
Mana should be brought back as well, in Fable 2 and 3 mana just ceased to exist so you could just endlessly and repeatedly use the same spells and it just gave you too much power and the enemies barely stood a chance.
We need challenges people- CHALLENGES!
Medieval times? Yes.
I love Medieval fantasy and as much as I like the Victorian era too, I didn't think it quite suited Fable, as fascinating as it was to see fantasy turn industrial, it kind of took away from the Fable feel that I so crave. If they have indeed brought the game back to medieval times it means more creatures and enemies are back rather than driven away or limited to the same handful of enemies.
We can all also agree the guns were overpowered, though I did like receiving the Red Dragon late in Fable 2 to absolutely mow down enemies, it was satisfying to say the least. However, guns were far too powerful for the game, so I demand the bows and crossbows back thank you very much- or even throwing knives- I'll take what I'm given.
I'd love to see more of the natural landscape rather than towns or buildings that took over once entirely natural areas (Millfields/Bowerlake). However, I won't object to ruins of old buildings taken over by nature.
Skeptical with Playground Games? Don't be.
Are you worried that Playground Games wouldn't do justice to Fable since it's not Lionhead Studios? Don't be, it's been noted that Playground Games has hired several ex-lionhead workers and plenty other skillful workers to ensure we get the best product. I have high hopes and expectations for Fable 4 even if it's developed under a different studio, I've seen great things from them and I will believe they'll deliver us only the best.
Side note to all this
I will crash and burn if I don't see a crumb of Reaver or Jack of Blades in Fable 4- I don't know how true any rumours are of Fable 4 with time travelling and Jack returning, but we'll just have to see. Reaver still remains as my absolute favourite character of all time and I'd love to see more of him, even see him before he was 'Reaver'.
Jack too, more of his lore is stated elsewhere rather than in the game itself and I'd love to see it all be brought into light and really expand on his lore and make it known- rather than have ever-loving Fable fans like me dig around for these rather delicious bits of canon information.
That's my big rant, feel free to share your thoughts and what you'd look forward to!
Have some accidental art leaks from a Playground Game concept artist- believed to be for Fable 4👀

Shipping and kpop
Ive been a shinee fan for a while and generally watched over most SM groups. Minkey (Minho+Key) was very big in korea when shinee was becoming big in 2010, to the point the biggest webtoon artist was a shawol and a minkey fanartist (cheese in the trap, if u really see the characters the 2 leads of the webtoon are also based on the images of minho and key than).
this is them after being in the industry for over 13 years (Link) and this is the seasons greeting for 2021 (Video) 2:18 look at them being chummy and doing shit just for laughs. Its not them being fake, they're comfortable and do this alot coz they're friends and feel comfortable doing this. Yes there are ships where one of the idols isnt comfortable and so these ships die down, look at jaeyong or even dowoo.
Jaedo were never uncomfortable with the skinship or being in eachothers spaces (Photo) the same way minho and key are (minho also knows what his limits with key (who is gay) are so he never crosses them even though he is a hugger (Video)) but they (Jaedo) are always kept to sides or they are edited out of stuff.
Jaehyun still looks at doyoung like he hung the sun in the sky and doyoung lets jaehyun get away with everything. They were never really “divorced” like the fandom says or they were never fighting either. (Vlive) this is a good examples of them not trying not to look at eachother but reacting to eachother and also being very aware of the other.
They are both very suspicious, after following this blog I started seeing how they react to the other members and how they’re with eachother, I also want to know why most ppl are not comfortable shipping the way johntae or johnten are shipped (on Twitter). Why do ppl focus of things that are abt competition (doyoung arranging and sending 2 trucks for jaehyun) or how its always abt them not talking when they both are always sitting together in the background
why is SM trying to keep them covered up and why do they have periods where theyre not interacting with eachother on lives or in sm contents. its just weird the way fans also keep to the opinion pushed it at them.  remember when we got fansights of all members with doyoung out in cafes or restaurants but none of jaedo together and than haechan posted a pick of jaedo, him and yuta out for dinner on bubble (autumn 2019, Hyuk’s photo), . kfans also hide alot from us, them seeing them out or anything else they know. kfans, jfans and cfans never share their opinions on english speaking platforms so we have no knowledge of the members or their real friendships  i know keep repeating the same things but it still amazes me ppl think jaedo are not close or have been fighting when they are restricted again
---------------------------
About the fans and shipping on Twitter. I remember when JohnDo was on the rise due to them going on programmes and to cafes, shippers easily used “married”, “boyfriends”, “his baby”, etc. - usual shipper lingwo. After the rings these words are in use with TaeDo as well. Not with Jaedo in the recent years. But more interestingly, there are no “celebrations”, when something major happens (like the carpet, the trucks, the sushi challenge, being in one team as agents). Jaehyun calling Doyoung “cool” doesn’t prompt anyone on English speaking twitter to remember bts from Boss and Jaehyun coming up to waiting between takes Doyoung  from behind, calling to him to get him on the camera and exclaiming how cool he looks? 2:24-2:41 The two friends finally interact?

A LunaTic and her Gunn (Part 1)
"The Girl in the Cheetah Print Coat"
Tumblr media
"OH!! KELLS!!"
Ashley yells from across the living room.
"I forgot to tell you, I invited my girl Luna out with us tonight. She's a bad ass chick whose an artist too. She shoots the most intimate pictures. You'll love her mus...."
Colson is sitting at the large dining room table rolling up joints for his birthday party tonight. He's listening but honestly he doesn't care who's gonna be there. His main objective is to get fuuuucked up tonight. Last year before The Big One.
"You mean Luna Smith, That Brooklyn Bitch!?!" Pete interrupts Ashley excitetedly. "I FUCKING LOVE HER!!! Dude, she's like one of my greatest friends. We go back to before I was doing stand up. She's one of the first people to push and shoot me."
"ME TOOOO!!!" laughs Ashley "I didn't know you knew her, that's crazy!"
In unison, "You ain't shit, until you've been shot by a Lunatic!!" they shout, laughing.
Colson fires up a joint as he vaguely listens to Pete and Ashley swap stories about this Luna chick. Running around Brooklyn, late night missions, this show here, that show there, .... all basic punk, riot gurl shit.... But wait.....? Talking her way outta a B&E AND resisting arrest charges!? Colson's ears perk up. He's just about to join the conversation when he's distracted by Dom, Ashley's boyfriend, plunking down beside him.
"Happy Fooking Birthday, Mate!!" he says as he helps out rolling and shots begin to flow. Colson's mind loses any thoughts of Luna.
---------------------------------
An hour or so passes. The rest of the band shows up and a few close friends too. They're all over to pregame before dinner and the killer house party planned for afterwards. Over the bump of the music Colson hears the door bell. Needing a break and wondering who the fuck is at his door, he yells "I've got it."
He opens the door to find the back of a tiny body in a black leather jacket with long golden blonde hair cascading down it. There's a short, flowing red dress under it, booty popping out, tattooed legs and chunky heeled combat boots.
"My kinda style..." he thinks to himself, looking her up and down.
She turns around revealing bright, blue eyes. "HI!!!" She says, a wide smile spreading acrossed her face, making her eyes dance. "I'm Luna, Ashley's friend. You must be Colson." She continues, sticking her hand out to shake his. "Uh, yeah..." He stumbles, running his hand through his blonde hair subconsciously after he shakes her hand. "C'mon on in...." He steps back to allow her inside.
"Fuck Dude. Where have I seen her before??? He wonders to himself. "GOD, I KNOW I FUCKING KNOW HER. FUCK, FUCK, FUUUCK. God she's beautiful. I hope I wasn't an asshole. Fuck."
As Luna follows Colson inside she gently grabs his wrist. When he turns to her, she says "Ash told me it was your birthday. I hope you don't mind but I made you a gift."
"Wow. Thank you." Colson says, caught even more off gaurd.
"Wanna see it?" She asks.
"FUCK YEAH!" he replies with a huge grin.
"Cool." She says with a smile. "I need a table."
"Oh, it's like that???"
"It's like that." She shrugs.
Colson guides Luna to the dining table which now is littered with liquor bottles, cans of monster, rolling papers, joints and jars of bud. He clears off a space for the black leather portfolio case he just notices that she has been carrying.
"I hope you like it." She says, looking up into his sparkling blue eyes with a tiny smile.
She unzips the leather case exposing a canvas with the logo from his Lace Up album painted as the background. In the middle is a black and white photo of a young Colson looking directly at the camera from side stage. It's safety pinned on top of a peice of studded leather. Scattered through out the canvas are cut outs displaying little negatives. The top showcases his stage name MGK and under the picture is a ripped ticket stub. Luna steps aside, watching Colson's eyes light up in excitement and disbelief.
"HOLY. FUUCK." He says, looking over at her. "This is fucking amazing. Thank you".
He reaches to hug her but she ducks out of his grasp.
"Wait, wait, wait..." She says, lifting the art peice out. She touches the bottom of the canvas, making all the negatives light up bright to be clearly seen. They are of him performing during the same show.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!" He yells bouncing around the room, geeking for a second. "THAT IS FUCKING BAD ASS!" he exclaims. Without thinking Colson grabs Luna tightly around the waist, lifting her up and spinning her around. She laughs loudly, pleased with his happiness. "Thank you." He softly says again, kissing her lightly on the forehead as he puts her down, blushing. She can't help but notice how delicious he smells, with his long arm draped around her shoulder and his 6'4 body towering over her 5'2 frame. He engulfs her as he leans in to take a closer look. He recognizes that night immediately. Leaning back and staring so deeply into her eyes he can see the ring of yellow around her irises for the first time.
"Two things. Your eyes are fucking insane. And who took these?" He asks directly.
"Uhm... Thank you? And I did, at The Gramercy, I believe. It's on the stub on the bottom." She replies.
As Colson looks at the ticket stub his heart is racing. It confirms what he knows. "It's her. It's her. It's her." His mind keeps repeating. "Holy Fuck, she's The Girl in Cheetah Print Coat!!!" his brain can't help but scream. "Fuck it" he thinks "Shoot your shot."
"You gotta boyfriend?" Colson asks Luna ducking down closer to her face, mustering all his bravery, while his left arm is still around her.
"No." She says quietly, lightly shaking her head with a look of intrigue.
With that he craddles the side of her face with his whole right hand, kissing her deeply.
Luna's body had been warm since he first scooped her up but it immediately sets on fire the moment his mouth presses upon hers. She feels a wave wash over her, making her nipples hard and vagina plump. "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?? I haven't since Just..." She thinks with a flash of pain in her heart before she allows herself to give into Colson completely and the electricity he sends pulsing through her body.
She kisses him back fully. Tongues dancing and exploring each other's warm mouths. Ending it with a long, intimate kiss on the lips, Colson stares at her deeply again.
"Be my birthday date?" He asks
"Yes." She answers without hesitation.
---------------------------------
From across the room Ashley and Pete stand side by side watching their friends interact. "Well, THAT was unexpected." Ashley says. "Yeah." Pete replies. He and Ashley know both Luna and Colson very well. As good friends do. "They're either gonna soar or crash and burn. Either way, it's gonna be one hell of a ride." Ashley goes on. Pete stands with his hands in his pockets. "Yep.....and I blame it all on you." He jokes, lightly jabbing her in the ribs. She shoots him a 'bitch please' look. "They've both been through a lot." Ashley says. Pete sighs. "I know." As they make their way over to their newly acquainted friends.
--------------------------------------------------
"LOOOOOONS!!!!!!!!!" Pete and Ashley both scream.
"What she make you, Kells? Ashley asks while grabbing a laughing Luna for a tight hug.
"Yeah, she makes the best presents..." Pete chimes in, waiting his turn to hug and greet his friend.
"DUDES. Check this shit out." Colson says. Picking up the canvas and displaying it proudly in front of him.
"Damn, Loons!! You really out did yourself with this one!" exclaims Ashley. "How'd you do the lights???"
Luna beams. "Thanks, Ash. I just cut the canvas and ran a little watch battery powered strand of lights around the inside of the frame to put behind the negatives. It really wasn't that hard."
"It's fucking bad ass art is what it is. Thank you again." Colson says leaning in to kiss her directly in front of their friends. Luna blushes when she catches Ashley's eye afterwards. Ashley smiles back, happy for her friend.
"NOW WHO'S READY TO GET THIS FUCKING NIGHT STARTED!!!!" Colson yells as he carefully puts his gift back into its case. "Yo, Bro" he says turning to Pete. "You mind running this up to my room so it doesn't get fucked up? Thanks, Man." He finishes as Pete agrees and takes the case.
Colson turns to Luna. "You are something else, aren't you?" He half asks, half declares to her, while holding her face with both of his huge hands. She smiles as he slides his warm tongue back into her willing mouth.
"I could kiss her all night." He thinks.
Pete interrupts them when he returns. Colson kisses Luna hard before breaking away and declaring "AND WE OUT!!". He grabs Luna's hand tightly and leads her into the night.
-----------------------------------
At TAO everyone is laughing, eating and drinking. Luna is set between Colson and Ashley. Across from Pete and Rook, whom she just met but immediately decides she likes when he brings his drumsticks to dinner.
"Why do they call you That Brooklyn Bitch?" Rook asks.
Pete laughs "Because Loons over here is the ultimate underground scene queen. She knows you're hot before YOU know you're hot. Plus, her grandparents are Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe. AND, she'll fuck you up, no questions asked. You don't get anymore Brooklyn than that." Pete continues laughing.
Luna rolls her eyes and smiles. "Thanks, Bud. You describe me so well. Fuck that I'm an artist. I make people cooool" Luna smiles, giving Pete the finger. "And of course you just gotta fit my lineage in there, hunh? Fucking Ass." She says laughing, throwing a peice of bread at him. "No," she continues, still smiling, turning to look at Rook. "I've had that nickname since I was a kid. It started because I was never afraid to throw down. No matter where you or I are. If you are my friend and there is a problem, you can count on that bitch from Brooklyn to be there."
"TRUTH!!" Shouts Ashley next to her. The girls laugh, as Ashley raises her glass to Luna's, cheersing all the shit they have experienced together through out the years.
Luna turns back to Rook "Ultimately it morphed and took on a life of it's own. I eventually began using it as my pen name when I first started putting my work out because I wanted to succeed on my merit, not my name. None of my art... visual, audio, none of it, is signed with my real name. It's all That Brooklyn Bitch."
Rook nods his head in acceptance. "Scraper trying to make it on her own name. I can dig it."
"Hold up. You're Patti Smith's granddaughter. Like THE Patti Smith?" Colson chimes in.
Even though his hand was on her thigh, Luna didn't realize he was listening. "Mhm." She replies.
"That's crazy. I'm reading Just Kids right now. I didn't know they had a kid. I thought he was gay????"
Luna chuckles at his confusion. Smiling she says "Yes, yes he was gay. But yes, they did have a baby. My mom's not in the book upon my request. They had put her up for adoption and only reconnected when I was young, shortly before she died. That's how I ended up with my Mom-mom's last name. She adopted and raised me afterwards."
"Damn Babe, I'm sorry." Colson says putting his arm around her shoulder.
"No need, I'm ok.... As long as you don't ever call me Babe again, you're much more creative than that." She says with a smirk, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek.
"Word. We'll come up with something special." He says with a smile kissing her on the lips. "You ready to party?" he asks as he stands up lifting one of the dozens of shots of Patron that have magically appeared on the table. "To a great night. Great friends, and to an upcoming great year!! Let's get FUCKED up! The only thing I wanna remember from tonight..." he continues, looking down at Luna "is that tonight was the night I finally met Luna Smith, That Brooklyn Fucking Bitch!!!"
Laughing everyone cheers and slams the celebratory shot.
-----------------------------------
To be continued.... Because after dinner is the ride to the birthday party and after the birthday party is the after party.... And exactly what is up with The Girl in the Cheetah Print Coat????
🎉😈 🎉
