— series m.list ⁺˚⋆。°✩₊ 1.5kwords₊✩°。⋆˚ ⁺ wanda m.list —
It was close for a majority of the game, the scoreboard reading only a one point difference. Wanda had been fighting off the other players, you and her both getting fed up with the way they were playing. It was foul, and what was worse was how the ref kept excusing the other team.
The refs actions led to the team taking a hit in the third and final period, the three point difference widening. When the siren blared throughout the arena, the final scores read 2-5. It was a huge loss, one that could’ve been avoided if a different ref were hired.
There was one particular player on the opposing team who’d been calling all the shots, even going as far as slamming Wanda into the screen doors with intent. She had to keep her cool while the game was still active, feeling imprisoned on the ice due to wanting to avoid getting a dirty call.
Now that the game was over, Wanda had been in her face. All of her words were unintelligible, but her tone still carried. Her shouts echoing throughout the arena, the sound of the wall shaking after Wanda had shoved the player into it. The ref still stands in, putting himself between the players and issuing that Wanda gets off the ice.
You’re almost stumbling down the steps, exiting the booth to try and make it to her on time. The locker room was musky, sweat overwhelming your senses when you step in.
Some of her teammates were there as well, not minding you walking in seeing as you’ve become a regular face amongst them.
“Wanda,” you call out her name but she doesn’t look at you. She’s quiet, her anger burning and tearing her up inside. This isn’t the first time she’s lost since you’ve begun dating, you understand how important these games mean to her, but it’s only the second time—meaning, it’s still new to you. Anger and hurt are synonymous, in this current moment you’re unaware of which side she’s on at the moment. Especially after her showdown in the ice. You’re timid, standing behind her as she shoves her stuff into her bag.
“No part of tonight made any fucking sense,” is the first sentence she speaks, the anger still laced in your tone tells you which side she’s on tonight.
“It’s not your fault, the ref was oblivious.”
“No, he was paid. No good ref in their right mind would call a penalty for a basic defensive move,” she doesn’t make an effort to get changed, slipping her jersey back on after removing her protective gear. “And then there’s that other player on the other team, lunging at me and everyone on the ice is keeping their mouth shut.”
You reach a hand out, taking a few of her things, helping her so she can leave sooner like she’s currently trying to. Her bag swings over her shoulder and she’s walking out, you following behind her.
“Would a team so bad as them ever realize how down in the dirt they are? Paying a ref and playing wrong moves to win is shameful,” you add on, earning a small smile from her.
Shes still gentle with you even with the hot anger within her, holding the doors for you and helping you get settled in her car. Her apartments not too far, only being a fifteen minute drive, but each minute is silent. It’s like her mind keeps bringing up what just transpired and it gets her riled up all over again. You thought to respect her space, grabbing what you can quickly to leave her alone to calm down, but that moment you’ve walked through the door everything in your hands clambers onto the ground.
She’s lifting you, hands reaching under your thighs to wrap them around her waist. Her lips are on yours, the force of which she’s using to kiss you pushes your head into the wall behind you. You’re melting in her hold, legs turning into jelly, you entirely trust that she won’t drop you. She kisses you until your lungs are burning, lips red from her teeth biting down.
“Wands,” you say, your voice coming out dry and scratchy. She hums, nose trailing down your neck as she’s maneuvering you onto her couch. Hands overcome your hip, turning you over onto your hands and knees.
“Push back against my hand,” she hums again when you do, ass pressing against the hand she’s splayed against your lower back.
“At any point if you need to stop, tell me, understand?”
You nod, cheek brushing against her throw pillow. She’s sliding your pants off, helping you so she’s able to toss them somewhere. Her fingers slide through your folds, feeling the wetness gathered there.
“You’re so wet, beautiful. Why’s this?”
You gasp when one presses in, curling downwards to press at the spot she knows makes you writhe.
“You.”
“Did seeing me get all angry turn you on?”
She slides another in, scissoring you open for her. You’re already a mess, thighs shaking as you grind back on her fingers in search for more. Her hand grips your waist, stopping your movements entirely.
“I bet you wished I threw you around like that,” she wipes her fingers on your thigh, “all I did was pick you up and you’re dripping.”
You gasp when you feel the tip rub at your entrance, hands gripping onto the pillow below you. She doesn’t give any warning, pressing each inch in until her hips meet yours. You’ve gone quiet, mouth ajar as you try to breathe normally. The length of her strap kept pushing and spreading you open with each thrust.
Your face is buried into the couch, moans tumbling from your mouth at an embarrassing pace. Each time she enters into you, it pulls a pitched ah from you. Her aggression from earlier still present, the way she’s pulling your hips back into her is unlike any way pace shes taken you before. It’s overwhelming, your body going lax to try and compensate with the pleasure overwhelming you.
She’s twisting you, hands on your thighs to pull you back down onto her length. You whine, hands reaching around her neck you can dig your nails into her back. You’re transfixed on where she’s connected to you. A thin layer of sweat on her body, dripping down onto her constructing abs. She’s seen your entire body, but what makes you blush the most is how muscular she is. Arms flexing around your body when she hugs you, and even now with her toned abs. She knows, using her strength at any chance after seeing how shy you get.
“Ah, please, please don’t stop,” you beg, reestablishing your hold on her back, “please it’s so good.”
Her expressions grown soft as she looks down at you as it usually does. She tilts your thigh, opening you wider so she can thrust even deeper if possible. You whimper, throwing your head back.
“Are you going to come,” she asks, sucking in a breath. The finger she has rubbing your clit slips down to feel how tight you’re wrapped around her.
“Yes, yes, please don’t—“
She’s kissing you into the couch, taking your breath away. You’re holding her face with your hands, breaking often to gasp when she hits that spot. She’s incredibly sensitive, holding back her own moans every time the strap pressed against her clit with each thrust. Seeing just how affected you are, all form her doing is intoxicating.
You break from her kiss, gasping when you come. Her lips are hovering over yours, heavy eyes focused on your shut ones. She’s slowed her pace, pressing gentle kisses over your face. You’re both glistening, her large windows allow the moonlight in, causing it to reflect off of your bodies.
“We need to shower,” you suggest, wincing when she accidentally presses further in. She apologizes, moving slow when she pulls out to avoid overstimulating you.
“We do,” she agrees, looking around to find her jersey lying on the coffee table, “and laundry.”
When she looks back to you, you’re folding, bringing her down to kiss her gently. Your lips are bitten, slightly swollen in the corner where Wanda had bit you earlier. Hers are chapped from the cold, red from how rough she had been pressing them against yours.
Despite this, you’re wrapping your arms around her back, gasping when she’s biting the other corner of your lip. Her body’s sliding against yours, sensitivity through the roof with how long she’s been holding out.
It’s heated again. You’re desperate for her touch and she’s desperate to touch you, hands sliding down your body. No words are spoken, your body language says enough. She’s picking you up with ease, bringing you to her bed where she splits your thighs open for her to rub her cunt along yours, growing weak at how breathless it makes you. Hands pulling at the sheets, pleas leaving your lips. It doesn’t end, continuing until the clock read 2:50.

One shot idea : baby yn and worried mama Nat waking up at every single little noise she makes and her singing her baby back to sleep
I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You
Tumblr media
Double the trouble AU
Summary: Natasha lulls her restless daughter to sleep with simply a song
Warnings: none
wc: 704
note: this request was so cute! it’s a lot shorter than my usual oneshots, but I still love it
-⧗-
Cries echoed from the nursery and both moms shot awake, their blissful 50 minutes of sleep now disrupted. Wanda winced, the sound of her daughter sending panic through her body. But Natasha shook her head and swung her legs out from the warmth of the comforter, urging Wanda to stay in bed. The new mother didn’t need telling twice and she settled back against the covers, watching as Nat pulled on some long pyjama pants to fight off the cold.
The nursery door was open slightly and Natasha pushed it open, wiping the sleep from her eyes as the relentless cries hit her full force. They were coming from Y/n’s crib so she quickly checked on Isla, who was surprisingly fast asleep, her little arms raised above her head.
With a contented hum, Natasha moved back over to the other side of the room and scooped her wailing daughter into her arms, holding her tightly to her chest as she made her way downstairs. For a small baby, she sure was loud.
“Shh malyshka, please,” Natasha pleaded, bouncing her daughter against her chest. “What’s wrong my darling?”
Obviously the six week old in her arms wasn’t about to respond, so Natasha quickly heated up a bottle of milk and brought it up to her wrist to check the temperature, just like the books had told her to.
But Y/n didn’t care when the bottle was brought to her lips, she just turned her head and kept crying, her face bright red and screwed up. Natasha tried a couple more times, rubbing it along her lips almost in desperation. The stone floor of the kitchen was freezing her bare feet but she didn’t notice. Too hung up on trying to be a good mom.
“Ok, if you’re not hungry, did something spook you?” She was thinking aloud as she padded over the soft carpet to the couch, sinking down into the corner and holding Y/n close. “It’s ok, you’re safe, malyshka. Mama’s got you.”
With this new position, Y/n’s head was resting against Natasha’s chest, her warm cheek burning against her mother’s cool skin. Her cries subsided momentarily before they started up again and Natasha bit her lip.
“Is that what you like? Mama’s skin?” Y/n sniffled again and Natasha took that as a yes, pulling the neck of her tank top down just that little bit further so Y/n could nuzzle into her collarbones whilst she still stayed modest.
Natasha thought she’d finally hit the jackpot when Y/n settled down and her cries faded to whimpers. But when was she ever that lucky? Not even ten seconds had gone by before the piercing sound piped up again and a small part of her wanted to cry too.
“Malyshka,” she cooed, stroking the frown lines that had etched themselves on her daughter’s head. “You’re okay sweet girl, you’re okay.” She kept muttering words to her daughter and rocking her gently, stroking her back as they laid on the couch together.
Y/n finally stopped crying as Natasha spoke, and finally it all clicked.
“You like Mama’s voice, don’t you?” It made sense. Natasha’s voice was deep and it resonated in her chest, creating a comforting vibration for a restless baby. Y/n fussed but her eyes fluttered closed, finally content.
Natasha followed suit, unable to keep her eyes open any longer. But even in her sleepy state, she didn’t let her arms relax or Y/n slip. She was too paranoid for that.
A small whine escaped Y/n’s lips moments later and Natasha shot awake, looking down at her daughter with a frown. But she seemed content and Natasha allowed herself to relax against the cushions once more.
She traced her finger down the slope of her daughter’s nose, humming softly. The beginning of a song she’d heard on the radio earlier reverberated in her chest, soothing both mother and baby. She was an incredibly worried mom, the slightest noise or sign of discomfort from either of the twins setting alarm bells ringing in her head. But her babies were fine, they always would be.
“But I can’t help,” she sang softly, “falling in love with you.”

I've watched the first episode, and I have some spoilers (is it still a spoiler if we have read the manga and know what's going on? 🤔)
Just to be safe though... Spolier below the cut!
It's great!! Some moments are actually quite funny. C & S first interaction is hilarious and reflects their relationship. Ciel is so sarcastic and Seb is one hell of a teacher.
Ciel's two different voices are so funny to me. It's like there's this 'real Ciel' (not to be confused with r!Ciel) that sounds like a grumpy old man. And then there's this Ciel that he presents to everyone else, and that includes his voice. When he gave Clayton the salute, I laughed. And I'm pretty sure Seb did too. We just didn't see it on screen. Reminds me of Smile, eh?
Tbh, I had dreaded Seb's new artstyle since it's very different from the previous Sebs, but I don't think he looks that bad. Just different. But I haven't seen much of him, so the judge's still out there.
Seriously though, it's good to hear Mr. Ono & Miss Sakamoto reprising their roles as Sebastian & Ciel.
They changed 'fag', but that's expected. They use the word 'drudge'. Diedrich the drudge. Heh!
I have no opinion on the P4 , surprisingly. They're ok. Not good, not bad.
The Opening song is... well, quite something. I don't even know what's going on. I watched it a few times, but still can't figure out where that titan comes from, lol!
Now, the ED... I can talk about the ED forever! It's PERFECT! Mellow, gentle, soft, and so very gay. I FREAKING LOVE IT! The artstyle is so gorgeous and Ciel looks absolutely adorable! A million Kudos for the people behind the ED, and of course, SID for another Sebaciel coded song!

Literally just me gushing about eurobeat
Y'know what? Tumblr, you get a little treat. I don't have much better of a place to post something long-winded like this, so here we are.
I love eurobeat music. Big surprise from the girl with it in her handle, right? But I don't just love one kind of eurobeat. No, I'd go so far as to say I love it all. This genre becomes an absolute buffet of delightful, energetic, silly fun when you forget about trying to look for ways it "doesn't count", and try to look for the ways it does.
I love early eurobeat! I love the stuff that's indistinguishable from early Italo Disco, the formative things where the tempo was still low and the disco vibes were still high! That's Eurobeat and the first few volumes of Super Eurobeat are great for this!
I love later eurobeat, too! Even if some of the sounds aren't always my favorites, I love that folks were trying new things and dabbling with new sounds, experimenting in ways that in previous years seemed prohibited! Comparing some aliases who have been going for multiple decades from this period to when they started is also super fun!
I love traditional eurobeat, if I could pick a name for it! Faster, more rave-influenced, whether or not it's still got some disco elements in it, themes about nightclubs and love and loss and betrayal and that ever-ubiquitous fire! Maharajah Night has some great examples, leading into the bulk of pre-200 Super Eurobeat volumes!
I love J-Euro! It turns out, folks in Japan have different ideas and tastes and approach the genre VERY differently than the folks in Italy do, and I love how it sounds! I love how the sound design is so different and the speed jumps a little higher!
I love indie eurobeat! I love hearing how new and amateur producers take a crack at the sound, and seeing what folks do as the tools for making it grow and evolve! Even virtual versions of the synths the masters used to use are available now, and it's fantastic to hear how those things sound in new hands! I love the ways indie producers bend, break, and work around the rules of the genre and still deliver a uniquely "eurobeat" experience! Without this category, I would never have found DJ Command, DJ Bouche, Turbo, Vikas Beatbox, the Galaxian Recordings crew, and so, so many more!
I love happy eurobeat! The nature of the genre makes it so straightforward to pair its signature energy with joy, delight, empowerment!
I love sad eurobeat! That very same energy that powers joy and happiness can be just as powerful for driving home sorrow and sadness, and some lyrics even carry strong emotional weight (we're well past the days of eurobeat being only about Burning Love Car Baby Fire Desire Tonight Drift Tokyo, y'know)!
I love fandom eurobeat! Yup! Vocaloid, Touhou, MLP:FiM, Vtubers; whatever you may be a fan of, chances are good there's a eurobeat remix out there (or even an original) that suits your fancy!
I love Initial D eurobeat! How could I not, right? The classics are classics for a reason, and eurobeat and drift racing are a uniquely fantastic pair. Of all the things eurobeat could be about, it's one of a few that really knock it out of the park!
I love feminine eurobeat! Masculine eurobeat is great too, but it already gets a lot of love in the other categories, so I want to celebrate those eurobeat songs that feel quite the opposite while still being perfectly eurobeat! Eurobeat is broad enough to express feelings like this, too!
I love songs that aren't quite eurobeat, but have elements of it! And I love eurobeat songs that heavily include elements from other genres, too! Eurobeat is like any other genre-- it has not always had the same chances to rub shoulders with other sounds in the dance space, but when it does, some wonderful things happen! And the whole music world is enriched for that cross-pollenation!
I love the songs I used to dislike! To think I'd go from vastly disliking Norma Sheffield's discography, to adoring it so fully! Disliking "Higher Higher More and More" to seeking it out from time to time! Not being fond of SAIFAM/BBB's style, to knowing some of its songs by heart!
And most of all, I love that I get to MAKE this stuff for a living! I do not take the fact that this could've not worked out trivially, and I hope I've rewarded your patiences well with a lot of new favorites and starting points for diving deeper into the genre over the last... almost 20 years, now!
And that's just the tip of the iceberg! I understand some eurobeat isn't to everyone's taste, but I think if you haven't tasted all that there is out there, you owe it to yourself to see how you feel about it. You might be pleasantly surprised!

*Sighs*...Okay, yeah, Wish really IS bad
And I didn't want to go in thinking that. I went in with the most optimistic view possible. Because with EVERYONE treating this movie as the worst thing possible, a POX upon the house of mouse itself, I went in thinking that there's no WAY it's THAT bad. So when I finally watched, I decided...I was right. It's NOT that bad. But...Well...Let's get into it.
This is the part where I'd say "Positives First," to show off what worked before picking apart what didn't. Except that, aside from a few little moments and easter eggs that made me go, "Aw, that's cute," I'm coming up EMPTY. Every single thing--And I do mean EVERY SINGLE THING in this movie, from the animation, songs, characters, story, themes, ideas, and even EXECUTIONS...is ALMOST good. Every single aspect of this film ALMOST worked. The pieces are there and I can see just how this film could have been the masterpiece that was a CENTURY in the making. The problem is that there's ONE THING holding it back: Not enough time. And I don't just mean that the movie should have been longer. No, I mean that this movie needed another YEAR of production to tighten up EVERYTHING. Why's that? Well, let's go in order of the things I mentioned.
The animation is clearly trying to go for this mixed-medium style that movies like Puss in Boots: The Last Wish or Spider-Verse popularized. Those movies mixed hand-drawn animation with 3D models, making storybook illustrations or comic book art feel ALIVE. That's sort of Wish is going for. I hear people say that Disney's 100 year celebration should have been completely hand drawn to call back to their early years, but I tend to disagree. I think Disney making a movie that's mixed-medium is a better way to honor its one hundred years, taking the animation that made Disney huge and mixing it with modern CGI as a way to make it feel like a celebration of the old AND new. EXCEPT that it doesn't really look good, aside from certain screenshots. There are SOME still images where if you paused the movie at the right time you can get something that looks like a 2D image with CG touch-ups. For the rest of the movie, it looks like a modern CGI Disney film with a storybook filter slapped on it. It doesn't look TOO BAD when your eyes get used to it, but it doesn't stop the movie from feeling like it ALMOST hit the right mark. The only times it REALLY works is with Star.
Tumblr media
Wha--No. No, not that one. That's the wrong Disney character named Star.
Tumblr media
There he is. There's my little guy.
But look at him. He's a 3D character with hand-drawn touch-ups that really makes him feel like a 2D character brought to life. If the whole movie looked like HIM, then it would have been a revolutionary achievement for Disney. But it doesn't. Instead, it feels like a missed opportunity that would have worked better if they had more time to animate this film instead of leaving their animators scattered to the winds to make half-assed sequels or forcing out one to two projects every year.
There should have also been more attention given to the songs because...Oh my gosh, they're bad. They SOUND nice, I love the instrumentals and the POWER these people put into the vocals. "This Wish" and its reprise successfully gives me chills through how well they're sang and how epic the instruments make them. But the LYRICS...are messy. When you sit down and actually LISTEN to what's sung, it all just...BLEH. That's the best way I can describe it, I'm sorry! It's BLEH!
Why would a king in a fairytale kingdom in the distant past sing, "You're sure you're not the prob?"
"Throwing caution into every warning sign" doesn't come across as a person freeing herself from her insane king's vague warnings but ADHERING to them.
The way that Asha and King Magnifico sing about protecting wishes makes it sound like they're singing to EACH OTHER.
And "You're A Star." OH BOY! The song that's meant to explain how these animals can magically talk is just filled with allegories and allusions that think they explain EVERYTHING only to explain NOTHING. It's just vague nonsense that, again, SOUNDS nice, but offers no real substance. On its own, I guess I can get into it, but to tell a story, it falls apart. Because that's the difference when it comes to writing a regular song and writing a musical: You're not just making a good song, you're telling a story through MUSIC. Wish's soundtrack is one that's filled with catchy songs, but not ones that properly move the story forward. Not to mention how they're so jarringly out of character in cases like "This is the Thanks I Get." When Disney released the soundtrack, that was my favorite song because I felt like it perfectly fit this smug, egotistical prick who thought he was the best person alive. Turns out that's not what Wish was going for...Not entirely.
Magnifico feels like he's meant to be a mix between Gaston and Maleficent. A character that has a huge ego and loves himself more than anything, but has an incredible amount of power to make himself a threat. If done right, a villain like that could stand up to be with some of Disney's best. And, yeah, like everything else in this movie, he ALMOST works. When he's finally a villain, he's campy and over the top, making him entertaining...But notice how I said "When he's finally a villain." That's because Magnifico doesn't really become what he's meant to be until halfway through the movie. He starts off as a King with good intentions but paranoid ideals that doesn't make him evil, it makes him feel like a guy who needed evidence to prove that other magic isn't a threat. By the time he finally acts more like a Disney villain, it was such a jarring left turn that his sudden switch-up made me feel like it was somehow a nightmare sequence from Asha. He's NOTHING like the guy he starts out as, and it's not a natural change that flows well throughout the film. That's mainly because the story has a pacing problem worse than any movie I've seen. If King Magnifico's path to the dark side was slow and gradual, showing signs of his worst qualities first and make them more apparent as the film goes on, he would have worked INCREDIBLY. Instead, it comes across as his villainy was activated like someone flipped a switch in his brain that says, "Be evil now." It's the absolute REVERSE of a bad redemption story, mixed with a lazy explanation that it was dark magic that made him more corrupt when he should have been evil since minute one. And you want to know the worst part? He's probably the best character in this.
Asha...isn't bad. She's your standard quirky nice girl protagonist that Disney just LOVES to use, especially lately. It's just that Asha doesn't have that "Gets stuff done" attitude like Moana or Mulan, nor does she have the infectious charm like Maribel or Anna. Asha, instead, is a lot like her breakout song: Nice and enjoyably, but doesn't stand out from the biggest hits. As for her animal sidekick Valentino...He's not annoying, but he's not funny either. Honestly, his comedy peaked when it was revealed that this cute baby goat sounded like Clayface from that Harley Quinn cartoon. A joke, by the way, that got spoiled by the trailers, so it's not really AS funny in the movie. Honestly, Asha's SEVEN FRIENDS are funnier at times. Speaking of, those characters are very clearly meant to be the Seven Dwarfs. And it is VERY distracting because not only does it feel like only two or three of them are necessary to the plot, but they're the ONLY major reference that the movie shines a light on when it comes to Disney's history.
Would I have wanted this entire movie to be nothing but references of past Disney movies? Of course not. That's not how movies work. But Wish seems to have this problem where it doesn't really COMMIT to honoring Disney's legacy. The most it does is give the Seven Dwarfs human OCs, make them supporting characters, and throws in tiny little easter eggs here and there. Again, some of them are cute, but it's not enough. The same goes for when Wish tries to honor some of the tropes and cliches that Disney popularized. It's an animated musical with talking animals, a campy villain, an objectively pretty protagonist, and goofy sidekicks. But it takes more than ADDING that stuff to your movie in order to honor them. You need to look at what made those tropes and cliches work in the first place and make something that calls back to those classic films while still having something new to say. And Wish almost--ALMOST--has something new to say.
With everything surrounding King Magnifico and how he got more power with people's wishes, I almost thought Wish was going to be a film that called out modern Disney. At least, modern CORPORATE Disney, a company that takes ideas and thoughts created by dozens of talented people, twists them into something unrecognizable, and refuses to give those ideas back when choosing to do NOTHING with this great idea leaves them free of competition. And to stop something evil like that, you must make something of your own and work hard to make your idea yours instead of letting someone more powerful take it from you. I thought that would have been a GREAT message...But of course DISNEY wouldn't want a movie calling them OUT for their one hundred year victory lap. So, instead, we have a message that tries to get the same idea across, but in a simplified way where the wishes are taken LITERALLY and that the only way to get what you want is to wish hard enough for it. That is...NOT the message I want kids to learn from this as it often leads to bad expectations. If this movie tried an ironically anti-Disney message in ANY OTHER year, it would have a better chance of getting away with it. But for a hundred year celebration, there was no chance in hell.
Wish is NOT Disney's worst movie, but it's nowhere near the best. I love SO MANY of the ideas and what it TRIES to do, but there's a difference between good ideas and good executions. It was ALMOST good, but Wish was not the movie anybody was really wishing for...

“I don’t manipulate people. I just get them to reconsider what’s in their best interest.”
“The Queen gave me the reins, so I’m pulling them where I damn well please, and so far it’s been working. Tieflings want to join the Crusade? Fine, I have no problem with tieflings. I even rather like some of them. The troops want a barrel of ale and a victory party? I’ll be right there throwing up alongside them. An army of bards? That sounds good to me. Let the Abyss tremble before our mighty lutes. We took back Drezen. And that’s just the beginning.”
“What, stand back and sing rousing songs while the rest of you fight?”
“I mean collecting stories about degenerate aristocrats is our national sport.”
“Welcome to Drezen. Brand new city, ripe with opportunity.” Siavash surveyed the stinking heaps of rubble and demonic graffiti proudly. “Don’t mind the mess.”
“If I knight you, you can’t eat Crusaders. There aren’t many rules, but that’s one I’m sticking to. And you especially can’t eat Woljif.”
“I don’t think anyone in my whole life has ever accused me of being someone they can count on. But my heart’s in it, for what that’s worth.”
“And you know what bothers me too, is that mortals seem to be nothing but fuel to the machine. Just as Areelu snatched me from my crib for her experiments, we’re nothing but tools to a heartless universe, indifferent to our suffering.”
“Spend it. Wine, good food, nice clothes, new guitar strings. More oranges, if I’m lucky. Don’t need much more than that and the wind at my back.”
“You traded your copper coins for gold.”
“We’re committed. No need to kill the mood with priests and vows.”
“I won’t abandon my people. And my dragon.”
“Trust me. My crusade friends will be there and I may not look like much but I have, in fact, obliterated a couple demons in my day.”
“All right. Sounds like fun.”
“It’ll be fine.”

ok after listening to the english version of the death note musical....... unpopular opinion i think but i actually prefer the japanese version? dont get me wrong, with some of the songs i do think i might like the eng version more but..... idk i like the lyrics of the japanese version a lot more? and obviously i only know them via a translation but i know for a fact that the entire focus of certain songs are different between versions.
like in the english version of the game begins, L is talking about his strategy to track down kira. but in the japanese version, he's more so talking TO kira directly and saying that he's going to take him down from his "god" status to hell. or mortals and fools, which had a wholeee different vibe in the japanese version being called like a cruel dream. and uhhhh am i insane or was rem's song before she dies an entirely different song? cause in english it was like a sort of generic love song that was pretty chill considering the context, while in the japanese version it was this superrr melancholic and striking ballad she sang while floating around misa.
idk but i really do think i prefer the japanese version. but the og english version is good too!!! i really liked hurricane and the way it ends in particular

heads up it turns out a lot of the new jukebox the ghost is actually really great!!!! i was out here thinking their music had just gotten worse but it turns out just a couple songs happen to be terrible and the rest is good
#like i hate wasted. but i got a girl and brass band are both so rad#i had made my judgements on their new stuff based on getting older. for the record. but that was just a random low point in the middle of#good stuff. and it wasn’t even that bad of a song i just decided it meant i should keep only listening to the older album i like#anyway i’m seeing them in concert. tomorrow. as a christmas present from my sister she gave me aldi-brand oreos and concert tickets for us#and it’s tomorrow so i’m listening to their new stuff cause loving let live and let ghosts won’t carry me through blending in at a concert#anyway some of their new stuff is annoyingly overproduced and sanitized like it sounds like radio music. but that is not all the new music#and it’s really exciting to have made that revelation!!!! and in other news i have a doctor appointment a week from tomorrow#where i try to get a medical diagnosis to go along with my problems so that i have standing to apply for an elevator pass and stuff#and speaking of which i’m a little nervous about going to a standing room concert when i’ve been extra unwell lately?? but i should be okay#but yeah anyway i’m doing the closest thing to seeing tally hall that i can in this day and age. so wish me luck shdhdf#i’m scared but also excited. and i’m really enjoying the piano stuff on their newest EP#now starting their album from slightly earlier and not sure i feel about it yet but generally optimistic!!!!#in final news i have a socratic seminar next hour for a book that i hardly managed to read 20 pages of. so hopefully i can fake it/make it#i would read it right now but something about the font literally won’t translate into actual words in my brain. and the content is weird too#(the kingdom of this world by alejo carpentier i know it would be cool if i could process and pay attention but instead i’m just confused)#but so in conclusion. the new jukebox the ghost is actually pretty rad and i recommend at least giving it a chance#if you happen to be like me and had not gave it a chance shdhdf. anyway i should probably look at a spark notes#but yeah. life updates of: doctor appointment and concert and jukebox listening. i keep drafting and not posting#so here’s some words from me. hope everyone is well. maybe a call again sometime would be good#i guess in a few weeks when everybody is in the places where they live. anyway hi the rest of tumblr i’m secretly talking to wext shdhdf#hope the rest of tumblr is doing okay as well. okay i gotta go study now and stuff#but i got a girl and brass band are highlights of their new stuff so far#again hope everybody is doing okay!!!!#also ask to tag for whatever#me. my post. mine.#delete later

#chatter#was watching some old performances and got so emotional#like growl era - so cute. so adorable. so fun#that high note was so effortless. just a walk in the park compared to wolf and mama insane ones#that mama2014 performance when vocal line does tell me what is love <3 like it’s ksoo’s performance really#but they gave lines to bh+jd in it too and they sounded so good as well#and i also watched the mnet cb stage of power since i almost never watch performances of that song and omg. so fun so happy#was in two minds abt his orange hair but it was kind of a look. made him stand out and look so bright and upbeat#literally they were all so cute during that perf but he’s so naturally happy and smiley it suits him so well#then i watched another obsession stage for the millionth time bc i adore that song and concept. no need to say more 🫠#but yeah rewatched the music core cream soda stage again and he.#honestly i don’t even like the song that much but it increasingly grows on me when i watch the live perfs#they’re really back.#but yeah watching old clips and new ones it’s obvious how much he’s improved vocally and i mean his level was already extremely high#once again that killing voice clip of monster. i love when they do things for fun like that bc he adds all these little runs and stuff#and spices up the original lines instead of just singing them the way they were originally#like in the chorus you can hear him over everyone else and the way he so smoothly goes between the different notes and even adds some#it’s fantastic. love when he adds some extra flavour to the lines just because he can (he and xtina have that in common LMAO)#and it comes off as sooo effortless and not strained at all#like how can you sing like that fr#everyday i wake up and still manages to be amazed by this man#the only man
