I haven't finished watching S4 of Titans yet (and maybe watching the rest of the season will change my mind) but I was just watching Teen Titans GO and this came to mind:
One of the reasons that Titans is such a strong show (in my opinion) is because they focus more on the characters as people than they do as heroes. They focus more on Dick Grayson than Robin or Nightwing, they focus more on Donna Troy than Wonder Girl, etc.
And maybe it is due to budget and not having the money to pull off a lot of special effects to show off their powers and do a lot of fight scenes, but like Saw's budget giving it a strength of mystery, focusing more on the human side of the characters than constantly one-upping their powers and outdoing fight scenes was the charm of the show to me.
So with S4, that 'human' side is what's working way better than the superpower stuff.
I am disappointed that Raven lost her powers and she didn't even have to deal with them being gone for that long. Because it would be so interesting to see her having a prolonged identity crisis about not having her powers, but it lasted for like... an episode? And for her, it wasn't even an identity crisis, she just decided that she liked not having powers and then decided that she wanted them back... and then got them back. No character development whatsoever, just a convenient plot device in her having and then not having her powers.
I am disappointed that they are shirking any emotional development for Gar to give him a storyline about getting cooler, more advanced powers and him being the mysterious one on the team who suddenly has visions now. Instead, I would have fucking loved a storyline where he actually worked through his emotional trauma and that gave him the ability to break through the emotional barrier holding him back and that's what gave him the ability to truly transform at will into any animal.
To me, the best part of the season is the increased mystery behind Trigon and them adding to the emotional conflict of Conner's character, with him wanting to get to know his fathers and wanting to honor Lex Luthor in death even though everyone else thinks Lex is an evil man who doesn't deserve it - that aspect is fucking phenomenal.
Tbh even the Tim stuff is more interesting to me. I didn't really find Tim all that interesting to me in Season 3 (he was okay as a plot device to bring Donna back to life lmao) - but him and Bernard's little romance and him finding his place on the team is actually such an interesting character development so far.
Anyway - I will give more of my thoughts when I finish the season, but I am very tempted to go back and rewatch the other episodes before I finish it because I have not been enjoying it as much as I thought I would 😬

What are your theories for lena in s6? She's really high on my 'characters who will be killed off' list to be honest. Actually, I believe they were going to kill her off at the finale we didn't get to see, that's why they had kara treating her so poorly. The way they treated Bellamy in the 100. Character A treats character B horribly and then B dies before A can apologise etc...the sort of terrible clichés cw is a sucker for. Or maybe they will go with a faked death/kidnapping storyline? Maybe leviathan and lena's birth mom will be involved (she is alive and head of leviathan and you can't change my mind 😂). Maybe she will try to recruit her daughter? I just think we are going to miss lena for a while this season, but this is just my theory. What's yours???
Hello and thank you for reaching. I believe you are my first ever question I received since I open this blog.
About Lena Luthor and what could be about her in the finale, I believe this could happen to her:
1. True, she has a big option to die. And probably it would happens more in a way that to win against Lex she would have to sacrifice herself. Like a chess move when to win you sacrifice your queen. However, I don’t believe this is the most obvious option they had. A difference between SG and the 100 is that SG don’t kill their characters(at least not the ones connected directly with the main cast), is more probably that they would write her off. For backlash, and more, because is not a common part of their writing process( something that the 100 does a lot).
2. She would leave National City. I think she could, after finishing the fight against the Luthors, and this time making sure that no one would hate her for been a Luthor, she would decide to move from National City, believing that her time there is done, and she would create a new L-Corp more in the way she has always want it to be(more like her projects with Jack); probably in Metropolis or in another city. Is funny, but Lena´s finale depends a lot about what is going to happen with Kara. If my petty predictions are correct (and sadly with this show, they are) and Kara decides to become a homewrecker in the future, that would be the most natural outcome from Lena. Actually, I do believe that almost all the things I could tell you in this post, could have this as their ending.
3. I believe that we are gonna have less about Lena. like in season 2. Occasionally some episodes about her or how she helps the team with gadgets or stuff. You see, technically, they run out the option of the edgy “is she or is she not” a villain plot, so they can’t use that anymore. And something I know about these writers is that they don’t know how to write something new for their characters, so she would leave (probably those photos of all of them is her farewell).
Anyway, Lena is such a complex character and the writers are so bad writers, that we can have any option about her. It could go in any direction, like her love life. In any of the preview options 1, 2 or 3; we could have the next options for the romantic plotline for Lena Luthor.
1. She stays single. Is really a good option; she focus on becoming a force of good and to make sure that the Luthor name is not connect of the bad things Lilian, Lex and Lionel did, but more for all the things she has done. For me is really an optimism option.
2. They make her queer. I really doubt this option could exist; it would have make them actually acknowledge that they made a mistake with her character in the first place (something that 100% sure these people would never do). But if they do, they would bring Sam back, reconnect Lena and Andrea in a new level, more romantic code relationship; or bring another, new character for giving that. Actually it would be the best SG fashion way to do something: give part of what the fans wanted it, and at the same time saying screw it to the fans.
3. Jack Spheer is alive in this universe(This is my favorite option for her). One of the reasons Lena would leave National City, is that she finds out that Jack is alive in another place, so she would go after him and reconnect.
4. The more CW option: bring a male love interest. I even picture him. It “has” to be a character that would be against her, in the most CW way, but hot. A lawyer that is against of defending her because “she is like her family” and then Lena does something to proving him wrong, and he become more interest in him. His support comes from that, and we should be happy with him because of that. Or maybe a member of the LuthorCorp board that is against Lena been in charge. For been a woman, or because been a Luthor. Anyway, the important part is going to be that Lena is going to prove him wrong and that would start the ship. For any of these two options of a men, imagine a younger, hotter, Morgan Edge; and obviously, it wouldn’t be SG and the CW, if we don’t have a scene where those guys look nice(imagine one of this dudes goes and feed the ducks in the park or something like that, after been misogynist to Lena).
For my petty predictions about Lena Luthor on season 6, I sadly believe that we would have to deal with options number 3 for her plot and option number 4 for her love life.
As a supercorp shipper I have less that zero percent hopes for a supercorp ending. I respect my fellow friends that have hopes, but I don’t see it as “they don’t have anything to lose”. I think they did exactly what they need. After using us to get their show, they are going to ditch us even without a hint that we exist.
After all, none of us are going to follow them to the new show. But I’m pretty sure more of the krams and antis are already praising the new show. They now that, and they are gonna catter to that.
That’s why I truly believe that kara is going to the future, even if I don’t want to.
I know these people enough to know that they are gonna write a rush plot where Alex and Kelly get together and have a baby, M’gann and J’onn goes back to Mars or do something that make them leave, Brainy and Nia go full with their relationship, and what I just say with Lena would happen. So in that case kara would find herself lost, and for more that Willy makes her happy(he really don’t, is his useless persona) she doesn’t find herself in the world. And we would have a couch Danvers sisters scene where Alex convinces her to go to the future. And that would be all.
Trust me; none of this is what I really want it to happen, but tell me, after 5 years of follow them, seeing how they write the show; is not the most SG and the CW way to end the show?
