Witchcraft Exercise - Creating Correspondences
Tumblr media
There are dozens of plant species in the arsenal of the green witch. Commonly-used varieties and usage varies somewhat between traditions, but most of us are fairly familiar with industry standards like basil, bay, rosemary, sage, and so on.
But what do you do when faced with a plant that has no listed magical correspondences anywhere that you can find in your witchcraft library? Simple - you create some.
Allow me to demonstrate with a little plant I found in my own backyard. It's a common weed called Virginia copperleaf (Acalypha virginica). But despite it's widespread range and abundant growth as a field weed, there are surprisingly few references to the plant in regional folk medicine and none at all that I could find in contemporary witchcraft.
So in order to incorporate this hardy little weed into my practice, I set about creating some correspondences for it.
First, I researched the physical properties of the plant. It is a small annual spurge with long taproots, a resistance to drought and many herbicides, and a reputation for fast growth and being difficult to eradicate from fields due to prolific seeding. The leaves turn coppery-red in the fall and small spiky flowers bloom among the foliage. It is also mildly poisonous. The juice of the plant may cause contact dermatitis or a mild rash in some people and if ingested, it may cause GI symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.
Next, I researched references to the plant in folk medicine. I could only find a single reference that cited copperleaf as a possible diuretic and expectorant. That does track with the previous mention of GI symptoms, but it doesn't mean the plant is safe to use. I did discover that an alternate name for the plant is three-seeded mercury or mercury weed, likely because of its' tendency for fast growth and the fact that it is propagated by the wind.
So now comes the business of creating the correspondences, using the physical properties of the plant as a basis.
The first and most obvious association is strength. Any weed that is resistant to drought and herbicide and uprooting is bound to be useful for spells involving tenacity and fortitude. Prosperity is also a likely use, both because of the name copperleaf and the way in which the plant grows and spreads quickly. Because of the alternate name mercury weed and the wind propagation, it could be used for wind magic or communication spells. (I often associate the element of air with communication and the name of a messenger god is right there as well, but your mileage may vary.)
The plant could also be used as an ingredient for baneful magic, either to bind and frustrate someone's efforts by consuming available ground where their ambitions might grow, or in its' capacity as a mild poison, to cause physical discomfort and stomach trouble.
So in the end, I have a handful of copperleaf and a listing in my witchbook that details the properties of the plant and notes that it could be useful for spells involving strength, tenacity, prosperity, wind, or communication, as well as possible baneful uses including binding, discomfort, and sickness.
This is my system for assigning correspondences to previously-unknown plants, and I encourage readers to use it as a template for their own practices or to create their own system. Either way, I recommend the use of a field guide or plant identification app like PlantNet to properly identify plants as you find them. Remember to forage and harvest responsibly, be a good steward of the land around you, and always label your plant cuttings.
Happy Witching! 💚🌿

Alright, here's the info graphic! Rarity is not patient 0 but she does make a good example horse and I just haven't really drawn her before. Marrow Blooms are aggressive and hardy. Beware out there, ponies. These marrow ponies are surprisingly sneaky. Make sure you check on your friends and family!
Seeds attaching to the fur was inspired by Mrsgendered over on Insta. I don't use inta by my roommate sent me their video. Here's a link! Mrsgenered's Infected AU. Go give their AU some love too. It's really great!
Go ahead and toss in some asks if you want. Going to be using my OCs and some cannon characters to get into a story. Gonna put in the effort keep it going as long as my brain can handle.

Aunty Yoko visits the Sinclair-Addams household
The vampire stands in front of the door of Enid and Wednesday’s new house. Before she can even knock, the door swings open. There to greet her is a tall, beautiful blonde woman eager to see her best friend.
Enid: YOKO! It’s been so long!
The werewolf throws herself at the vampire almost knocking her over. The two embrace each other.
Yoko: Wow, Sinclair. I say you’ve aged pretty gracefully.
Enid: Awww, thank you, darling. And you….. haven’t changed a bit. How old are you now?
Yoko: Hardy har har. What about you? Thirty looks good on you.
Enid: Oh god I hope so. Come on in.
The two girls walk into the house. The interior was, surprisingly colorful. Full of pastel pink, blue and purple. As bright and flamboyant as it is, it doesn’t clash. Really throws Yoko off.
Yoko: Holy shit. Are you and Wednesday still married?
Enid: Yoko! Don’t even joke about that!
Yoko: I’m just asking! I mean look at this place. Your gothic princess wouldn’t be caught dead in a place like this.
Enid: Oh you know I have my ways, Tanaka.
Yoko: She can’t say no to you, can she?
Enid: Of course! She loves me too much!
The two girls enter the living room where they sit on the couch together.
Yoko: Where is she anyway?
Enid: Oh she’s upstairs. She’s just taking care of one of our little ones.
Yoko: Oh yeah! I still haven’t seen your child yet! Wait ones? How many do you have?
Enid: Oh we have…… six.
Yoko: SIX KIDS?!
Enid: Six…. girls…. and four boys.
Yoko: YOU HAVE TEN CHILDREN?!
Right as Yoko yells, one of their little ones runs down to greet Yoko and Enid. She can’t be more than ten years old, has black hair with white streaks and bright ember eyes.
Yoko: Oh hello little one.
Enid: Baby, why don’t you tell aunty Yoko your name?
Daughter 1: Hello. My name is [NAME]
Yoko: Awww. What a nice name. You really look like your mother. I mean Wednesday.
Daughter 1: *turns to Enid* mother, may I please play some music in the living room?
Enid: Yes, go ahead sweetie.
The little one runs off.
Yoko: Wow, she’s literally like Wednesday.
The little one chooses her music and plays it. Loud, blaring, rock and roll music play. It catches Yoko completely off guard.
Daughter 1: I will just be here to read if that’s okay.
Enid: That’s totally fine, dear!
Yoko: Okay never mind! She’s not like Wednesday at all!
The vampire watches as the little one sits on the couch across from them, silently reading a book.
Yoko: How can she possibly read with music that loud?
Enid: It just helps her!
The two escape the living room to the kitchen.
Enid: Do you want to see the other children? Wednesday’s upstairs with them.
Yoko: The other nine? Oh god. That’s a lot of kids.
Enid: I know it’s a lot but thank you for taking your time to babysit them.
Yoko: BABYSIT?! WAIT HOLD ON-
Enid: Yeah! You said you could babysit for our kids!
Yoko: I thought you had one! Two at most not TEN! Enid, wait-
Enid, already running up the stairs: I’m gonna go tell Wednesday! Thank you for doing this for us!
Yoko:
Yoko: Ten kids….. I have to call Divina.

In d&d, goblinoids are in this weird place.
They're crafty and cunning, but most lack intelligence (representatively, at least). They're in tune with nature in a weird way, and they're technically fey, but they're almost never portrayed as fey. They're capable of industry and wickedly clever designs but are not masters of craft or artisans.
They are the creatures originally intended for cannon fodder that players of ttrpgs kinda fell in love with. They represented a lot of bad tropes, and so we tried to change them but we were not fully capable of washing away the complicated history on them.
When I run goblins as a society. They aren't lesser. They aren't stupid. They aren't bad. They just haven't been given opportunity as a culture. They're outcast as a race of beings, never welcomed in to communities where they'd learn things and have resources due to how different they are. They also tend to be what happens when you get a very diverse heritage (in a sort of roundabout description way). Elves and orcs and dwarves and gnomes and everything. You get fey pointed ears, you get darker green and brown skin tones, you get this thin figure that's surprisingly durable and hardy, they're short, they're nimble, they're good with they're hands, they can work iron. The list goes on. Heck. Sometimes I give them horns.
I also like to rule that they do the best with what they're given. They can't get access to raw materials, so they scavenge what they can. They get metal from slag dumps and pan out the useful bits. Thier cloth is a mixture of scrap hide and recycled trash. Goblin alchemy is slightly more refined because they can gather most of what they need from nature, but glassware is almost always unavailable and so they are limited in what they can make.
And this whole thing makes goblins frustrated. Why are they the ones left out? Are they just monsters to the rest of the world? They have aspects of every other type of humanoid to them, but they just don't have enough of any one thing to be welcome among the other cultures. But when given the chance to shine, goblins can really show that they're diamonds in the rough. And not really all that rough to begin with. Not rough at all. Just a diamond cut another way.

nintendo once bred an entire plant into existence as a promotional item.  In 2001, Nintendo created a variety of Sutera cordata (Bacopa cabana) specifically to include a packet of its seeds in 1/100 copies of Pikmin for the GameCube.  These flowers were bred to look like the pikmin flowers and were, unsurprisingly, dubbed Pikmin Flowers.
surprisingly, they don’t hold a copyright on the plant gene or anything.  The patent was released to the public in 2002.  Finding seeds has proven very tricky though.  :/  They are supposedly a really hardy plant so there’s probably at least one plant out there SOMEWHERE.

Tala unceremoniously woke up in her cell, her body completely sore and wrecked, and no memory of how she got back. She endured hours of self-pitying and Orlek’an’s intense questioning of what happened and if she was okay and yes, the sex was extremely good and she didn’t want to think about it anymore.
Her next sessions in the lab were more bearable, a silver lining of pleasantries was included in each meeting. Patty had also surprisingly apologized and ‘gifted’ the Tawkami with her own starched white lab coat, filled with pockets.
Well, it was less of a gift and more of a ‘all the bites and marks on your body are making us uncomfortable so please wear this piece of clothing’-type offering. Tala did question why not they just look away but she couldn't necessarily blame them, the soldier wasn’t very gentle with his ‘playing’. She had also been spared embarrassment and given a replacement tewng, but this one was so strange. It was a tawtute piece of clothing, underwear that dug into her hips a bit, an ugly grey color. Still, better than the shreds Neteyam had left her with.
Scientists trusted her more and allowed her closer to materials. So much closer that she was able to build up her own collection, including a paralyzing agent to coat Orlek’an’s crude darts and needles with. The pockets were like godsend.
The only one who didn’t trust her any more in the time she’s been here was unsurprisingly and so frustratingly, Corporal Tom.
He dragged her away at careless hours of the day and night since then, to the quiet and somewhat disturbed acceptance of all the scientists and Patty. Every kiss was wounding, every touch was rough, and his steadfast meanness was grating on Tala’s resilience.
Tumblr media
And by Eywa, so was his stamina. Any peak she caught of the soldier in the hallways made her scowl. While each step made her wince and tremble, oh no, perfection himself had the swagger of a palulukan prowling their territory.
He’d come to find her every few or so days, so Tala took these breaks as little gifts from Eywa. Hidden in high corners, hallways, and window corners, she would etch clues of the prophesied danger. ‘Tsefta’ Eywa’ [Eywa’s Revenge], she wrote. Vrrteps could translate it, true, but the People would know it was a warning, a true sign. Even if Tala got caught, the rest would follow in spreading the message, though she obviously hoped this wouldn’t happen.
A few days passed, it was no worry. The few days stretched into a week and she still hadn’t seen neither boot nor tail of him. Not that she was worried.
Not that she missed him, Great Mother, she’ll poison herself before she ever admits that.
“Haven’t seen Corporal Tom in a minute, he… alright?” Dr. Hanson said awkwardly as the two of them waited for the droid to bring out the next sample. Tala snorted, how would she know?
Patty knew. “He sick.”
The Tawkami proudly fought the urge to twist her body at a breakneck speed to interrogate the guard but her shoulders did tense. He’s never been sick, and, extreme headaches aside, he was all the makings of a healthy and hardy soldier.
Dr. Hanson spotted Tala’s pinched focus on the table, so he took pity and asked for her.
“Sick with what?”
Patty shrugged.
“Ramirez spotted him hiding out in his room and the medics are salty ‘cause apparently, that’s just ‘what he does’ instead of going to them.” The guard explained, picking dirt from underneath her nails which only got a scolding from the other scientists. Tala could feel her ears perking up, intrigued, but she kept her mouth shut and her eyes focused on the plant material before her. It wasn’t any of her business, even if she burnt for answers.
Before her was a cluster of hardened plant sap and crystals before her, golden, and still connected to violet tree bark. Previous thoughts of the Corporal were quickly replaced by delight.
“Oh. This is… sweet thing. Honey.” She replied in her simple English, and Dr. Hanson’s previously unreadable expression broke when his eyebrows shot up.
“Honey? So, just edible, no medicinal properties?”
Tala smiled and quickly swiped a tiny crystal to taste, causing the scientists around the table to squawk.
“What are you doing!”
“H-hey!”
“Spit it out!”
Tala let it melt on her tongue, smiling cheekily. “Properties… makes other medicine easier to eat.” She said with a giggle and pushed the cluster towards the tawtutes. They eyed each other before shaking their heads, deciding to input their observations instead. She shrugged, savoring the sweet, tart, taste, the flavor like a melody on her taste buds. It’s been so long since she’s really tasted anything besides those miserable dry bricks of vitamins. As she licked her fingers clean she remembered something.
He liked honey when they were younger, didn’t he?
Tala blew some dark strands out of her face, eyelashes fluttering like a tizzy and she paused. Her green eyes snapped up to see Dr. Hanson’s extremely observant and bespectacled brown ones.
She felt her cheeks heat up, Great Mother, how affection-starved was she to consider Neteyam’s continued absence discomforting?
She blinked twice before smiling, pointing her ears down as if bashful. “You’re staring very hard, it embarrasses me.” She teased and puffed up internally when he sputtered.
Dr. Hanson sheepishly looked down and with a glance around the room, pushed the honey cluster towards her.
“You can have it.”
“Really?”
“Well, I think honey’s a small price to pay for saving my life.”He said with a small smile. He straightened up nervously but Tala delightedly leaned across the table close to his face. She blinked prettily at him and smiled, her nose almost touching the glass of his exo-pack.
“I think you just like me!” She said delightedly and carefully placed the little cluster in her pockets, licking her fingers. When the tawtute’s face flushed, Tala smiled to herself. She was far more used to this sort of reaction. Not Corporal Tom’s indifference tinged in distaste.
She grimaced suddenly when the sweetness on her fingers made her feel so terribly homesick.
She missed her medical alcove, the crunch of grass as she walked, and the smell of everything in the air. She didn’t miss the raids, nor the trepidation she felt every time she awaited her friends to return from their own missions.
But now because of one single prick, she was forced into a new normal. Tala was sure he saw it as Eywa’s strange sense of humor that he was burdened to come find her for his aching head. Both the one on his shoulders and the one between his legs.
The mark on her neck stayed ever deep and ever sore. And yet despite the evidence of his outright obsession, which Tala felt like she was running in circles in making him admit, his bruising indifference was prevailing. The tranquil seed in her back fangs didn’t feel like enough to get back at him for, not by a long shot.
The mechanical doors whirred open and already her mouth poised to snark at the corporal for his absence, but the face she saw was much uglier than she was expecting. Corporal Halloway smiled broadly, to her chagrin, and noisily stomped into the lab, arms wide open.
“Hey there eggheads, and Private!” Corporal Halloway walked into the room with the confidence of a man who was not sporting a healing black eye. The disgust replaced shock when he grabbed her chin, making her hiss.
“Aw, hey to you too, sweetheart. Still mad?” He asked with mocking kindness. A hazmat-suited scientist guffawed from the corner.
“Your black eye looks like it’s healing well.” They said in the back smugly. The corporal flipped them off and fingered through Tala’s braids roughly until he found her kuru and pulled it harshly to get her feet. She shouted from the pain and her legs bumped painfully against the side of the table.
“Not feelin’ like talking to the eggheads today. How about you and I get some privacy?” Corporal Halloway said heatedly, eyes dangerously gleaming. She grimaced and the rest rose to their feet as well.
“You can’t-“
“We’re in the middle of-!”
“Hey-!”
The corporal leaned over Dr. Hanson in a way that made the scientist step back and strain his neck. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t have to and even Patty was shifting her eyes in apology.
After a few seconds of tense silence, he suddenly laughed.
“Thought so,” Halloway said and quickly dragged Tala out of Lab 12. In the narrow halls, he dug his dirty nails into her hip.
“Hurts.” She tried to say without hissing but her revulsion peaked through too obviously. His loud boot stomps echoed along the floor, her own feet skidding along. He had dragged her out so quickly that thankfully her inhibitor cuffs were still unlinked, but who knew how long that would last?
“You don’t seem to mind when it’s the big blue boy scout doin’ the hurtin’.”
Her nose scrunched up. Maybe her reaction was a touch dramatic because the Recom barked a laugh loud and hard, so pleased.
“What, you don’t like him either? That’s a shame, I think you’re his favorite.” His eyes looked strange when he said that last word. Tala didn’t like that, didn’t like him, for some reason, she felt like something more dire than a disappointing fuck was awaiting her and her mouth felt dry. His gaze right after he kicked her to the floor was so… intense. Scary.
The sour aftertaste of honey stuck to her tongue.
Corporal Halloway nearly dislocated her arm when they made a turn into an unfamiliar set of hallways. While Tala appreciated the new addition to her mental map of the facility, the pit in her stomach grew. Just weeks ago she was fine with Halloway’s advances, but now he seemed even more disgusting an option. His already awfully-stale smell was mixed with blood and gunpowder, smoke. He had returned recently from battle.
Tala’s green eyes worriedly darted around, the empty metal passages, the corporal’s face that towered over her with an unsettlingly friendly smile, and his gun still holstered on his harness. She had forgotten that despite his harshness, ill-treatment, and manhandling, Corporal Tom never acted with an intent to kill her, not really. Corporal Tom cursed and used her, but he was at least reliant on her, even if he hated it.
Tala avoided making any further eye contact with Halloway. She knew that looking into them would only set off more dread.
Neteyam could smell her before he could hear her and at first he thought those whiffs of honey and rose were only his delusion.
His body was sore, his bedsheets were covered in his sweat and he huffed, vexed at the thought of her.
A simple mission turned out to have much more annoying consequences than Neteyam had expected. It was a simple raze and redevelop; Raze the ground and redevelop for more RDA bases. More Bridgeheads.
The roads were developed but on this side of the moon, barely inhabited. Most fled, the few warriors the na’vi were more focused on evacuating the many young they traveled with, which the Omaticayan thought was so outrageously reckless of them. How could one think to travel with so many helpless clan members in the open? How could they let themselves be targeted like that?
Neteyam’s scope remained fixed on grown warriors, knives and bows in their calloused hands. Halloway’s accursed chuckles from his throat comm about ‘easy pickings’ made his jaw tense.
But his headaches and mind soothed with each shot he, as a soldier, took. Perfect, accurate.
The battle was barely worthy to be called such. His migraine returned to manageable levels, his supplies were hardly dented and when Quaritch recalled the team to the center of the field Neteyam saw no movement.
The arrow shot at Neteyam’s clavicle was surprising, to say the least. He had seen the half-dead na’vi on the ground, her arm still in the air, and the both of them dropped onto the grass to bleed out.
Visceral shadows of sensation coursed through his body as he bled out, it prickled muscle memories that he didn’t know where from. Had he bled out before? His scars felt like they glowed red-hot but he had enough sense to apply emergency care and pressure to staunch the bleeding.
Tumblr media
“Tom down, requesting extraction.” He hissed into his throat-comm and he knew he was conscious as another squad member arrived and dragged him back to the helicopters. He knew he was awake when the Colonel asked for his condition, of which he answered positively, and Halloway painfully clapped his hand on his back like a dickhead.
And maybe Neteyam was awake when Quaritch then told him to report to medbay and Neteyam instead went back to the darkness of his private quarters, deciding he’d rather hunker down and tend to himself. He had made his own collection of RDA medical supplies inside his room, increasingly avoiding any medical staff if he could.
He didn’t know why he did. He just never wanted them to touch him, never to set him inside one of those chambers.
Neteyam, still in bed, looked down at the haphazard bandages awkwardly applied around himself to cover his clavicle and the dried blood on his mattress. Ah, yes. After he got shot, he developed a fever and continued to seclude himself.
He groaned when he realized he could still catch her scent, still provoking him and perplexing him. It must have been days, how did she always manage to worm her way into his thoughts? She confounded him, which was precisely why he avoided seeing her. Neteyam needed actual strength every time he saw her, or else he’d end up falling for her cloying words or stabbing her dead, it was for both their sakes really. He kept her distant even despite their intimate closeness, kept her screaming with his fingers instead of letting her poke her away around his mind with careful touches. He kept her shut up with kisses that made them both taste blood because even if he couldn’t stand her, his feet would take him to Lab 12 and back in the sights of her infuriatingly pretty green eyes.
Damn her. And damn Eywa, for making him reliant on her, he could feel the veins on his forehead pulse and it felt like gunshots were hammering away in his head. He was fine before he found her.
Halloway’s barking laughter was so loud Neteyam could hear it through his door and thankfully he harbored absolutely no goodwill towards that irritating person. He regarded his fellow Corporal with the barest respect, he was more cruel than he had to be on the battlefield. It bristled against Neteyam’s previous warrior sensibilities, he would definitely have considered Halloway dishonorable.
Neteyam shot up in his bed as the pieces of his mind finally clicked together. Halloway and Tala?
The soldier walked to his door with minor difficulty and it hummed fully open. There was Halloway, lecherously draped around Tala, leading her through the soldiers’ living quarters. Her tail was swishing anxiously.
Neteyam glowered when the two of them turned towards him but all he was focused on was Halloway’s hand squeezing her ass through her lab coat.
Her fucking pert, round ass he’d watched bounce on him just a week before-fuck. His nose wrinkled, he didn’t feel like sharing.
“Get over here.” Neteyam’s voice rumbled through his chest dangerously low, not acknowledging his fellow squad member. Tala blinked her stupid pretty eyes and she cautiously leaned her weight forward, toward Neteyam. The soldier above her kept her still.
Tumblr media
“Hey sunshine, you finally awake? How you feeling, big guy?” Corporal Halloway greeted him, friendly, but when he adjusted his grip on Tala to kiss into her hair she could feel the temperature drop as Neteyam’s pupils turned to pinpricks
“Fine. How’s your eye?” The snark in Neteyam’s voice felt too personal and the way Halloway’s pulse quickened made Tala immediately look back up his face, the black eye. He did that?
“Cute. I’m gonna go get my dick wet now, you can have her when I’m done. But, uh, I wouldn’t wait.” The Recom said dryly, winking, and began dragging Tala back to their original destination. Neteyam’s growl was enough to get everyone to freeze and Halloway faced him again, she could see Neteyam’s knuckles turn white.
The Tawkami na’vi thought quickly, a second option had become available to her and though she loathed to admit, Neteyam was by far more attractive. As an option.
She discreetly rolled the thinnest of Orlek’an’s crude darts at the bottom of her lab pockets with her thumb and finger. The Anurai woman had taught her some new tricks and Tala’s tongue ran over the tranquil seed still tucked securely in her back fangs, another option if things went awry.
She could do this.
Tala pressed herself firmly onto Halloway’s arm and let him feel the contours of her body through her closed lab coat. Both soldiers’ ears perked up, alarmed. She fluttered her eyelashes up at Halloway coquettishly while ignoring the holes she felt burning on the side of her head.
“Can we go already~?” She whispered with a small whine, and Neteyam could feel his fever spreading tenfold down his fucking bloodstream what the fuc-
Halloway’s eyebrows shot up and the wolfish grin on his face was so immense Neteyam considered kicking his teeth in. Halloway turned to him, dramatically shrugging.
“You heard the little lady.” He said before picking Tala up, she tried to hide her yelp as a squeal of delight. When her eyes caught Neteyam’s unreadable yet simultaneously rageful expression Tala tilted her head and smiled innocently, her tail flicking lazily behind her.
He looked so stupid, what was he all angry for? Adorable.
The Omaticayan was losing his mind, his scowl was deep and he huffed when Tala smiled. When the door shut, he bruisingly hit the side of his fist against the wall. Yomioang [chalice plant], he couldn’t have picked a better plant for her, she seemed all too fine with ensnaring whoever she could with her nectar and it left a bad taste in his mouth.
Neteyam felt all too much like the stupid boy he’d acted around Tala when they had first met as children. Pretty flowers, sweet scents, he wanted to murder something.
Tala wondered if she had gone too far, seeing the way the male na’vi’s back muscles flexed, tight. His hair had whipped away from her so dramatically. But her attention was demanded when Halloway punched in the code for his private quarters and nearly threw her in his bed.
The smell overwhelmed her, and so did he as he immediately ripped her coat open, groaning at the sight of her in this grey underwear. He grabbed at her hips and pawed at her breasts, and Tala obliged despite feeling her skin crawl.
“Finally got you all to myself. Come here, sweetheart…” *He breathed into her darker blue skin as she held the crude needle in her palm. She sighed breathily and arched her back to wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
Halloway started to laugh. “Don’t worry I’m not going anywhe-ERK!” Halloway’s body nearly suffocated her as it fell on her diaphragm, heavy as a rock. She quickly pulled out the needle from the space near his adam’s apple, just as Orlek’an had taught her. A new trick, just to cause a fainting spell.
Tala blew more dark strands of hair away from her face as she poked him hard a few times and checked if he was still breathing. He was out cold and Tala nodded to herself, impressed. She would need to ask the Anurai woman to teach her more, though she did also offer a quick prayer to Eywa that she hadn’t just killed him.
After some major effort, Tala rolled the soldier off of her, bit into his skin here and there despite the revulsed reaction it brought to her tongue, and scampered quietly to Neteyam’s door.
She knocked. Nothing. She knocked again, louder.
A crack opened and even from the tiny space, Tala could confirm what she thought she had smelled earlier: dry blood.
She could see Neteyam's bright golden irises blaze at her through the crack and she beamed at him.
“Missed me?”
The door quickly shut and she made the brilliant decision of letting Neteyam nearly break her toes as she tried to stop it. She bit her lips and hissed in pain. Neteyam smiled, almost amused.
“Ow!! Really?” She whisper-shouted to him, feeling extremely vulnerable out in the bright hallways of Bridgehead.
“What did you do to him?” Neteyam asked, eyes flicking to Halloway’s door. Tala rolled her eyes. “He’s fine, he’s just taking a little nap.” She grumbled and attempted to get further inside by squeezing her arm in now, the door digging painfully into her tit as she tried to force her way through.
“You told me to get over here, didn’t you? I had to think of something.” She huffed.
“You looked like you were enjoying yourself.”  He kept his hand firmly against the door, though her efforts amused him. He kept enjoying the view of her breast squeezed, her lab coat now open, he let his eyes rake through her exposed figure.
“Toys have to look like they want to play if they want to survive, adorable warrior.” The tease in her voice died when Tala’s nose scrunched, the smell of sickness apparent on him. “Let me in, you’re hurt.”
Neteyam quirked his brow but relented, not wanting the two of them to get caught by anyone.
Tala entered and immediately re-examined him. His striped body was covered in a light sheen of sweat and pale, She noted a mass, of bandages she assumed, protruding from underneath his black, tight shirt, around his right-side clavicle. When her hands reached out he pushed it away.
“Show me your pockets.”
“What?” Tala’s ears folded back. Neteyam raised his brows as if his request was predictable and she was the one being unreasonable.
“How did you ‘make him sleep’, Tala?” He said, a slight growl to emphasize his soberness.
Tala made a face. This wasn’t cute.
“How do I make you sleep, Neteyam?” She replied, a challenging swish in her tail. She crossed her arms, they stared at each other in silence, his mouth was set in a hard line.
They stared.
Neteyam lurched forward and dug his hand into her pockets himself.
“You-!”
He pulled back only to reveal fingers covered in sticky and spiky clusters of honey. Tala’s heart had jumped out of her chest for a moment there but his fingers were mercifully too big to sense the tiny needles still deep inside. She made a very good show of her innocence with sass.
“Yes! I poisoned the poor corporal with honey, best be careful. This yomioang is just full of tricks.”  The Tawkami woman said tartly as he stared down, still confused about what the heck was on his hand. He hadn’t seen honey since he had left the forest with his family.
“Why do you have this?” His voice was more full of wonder than she had expected.
“The scientists. They-“
“They?”
“Dr. Hanson just gave me some as a thank you. That’s it.” Tala looked up at him through her eyelashes. “And I didn’t hurt the corporal or poison the honey if that’s what you’re going to ask next.”
Neteyam pursed his lips, it was. Tala sighed and stepped forward and he was damned to admit that the gentle air of her perfume did make him feel better.
“If I wanted to hurt him I wouldn’t have come back to you now.” She cautioned another step forward and she delicately picked out the sticky sweet crystals from Neteyam’s hand. He froze, eyes warning as the veins on his neck pronounced itself. She was close enough for him to count the tanhi on her face and now the real sweet thick substance was setting his nerves on fire.
“I promise, I won’t hurt you. You know I know how to help, let me help you. If I’ll heal the vrrteps, I’ll heal you. Please.” Tala said again, her green eyes gazing straight at his, she noted how the golden syrup reflected against his eyes. She used to think he was sweet. For that, she couldn’t ignore how his mottled blood-stained stank, how the sick clung to his skin and his breath was short.
Neteyam’s eyes softened a percentage under Tala’s determination. The plea in her voice seemed sincere to him.
He sighed and kept his eyes on her, suspicious. She frowned, about to give up and her fingers started to leave his skin.
The soldier sighed again, tugged off his shirt, and sat on the edge of his bed.
Tala let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding as she quickly looked around the windowless room, closed off and the only comfort it possessed was that it smelled like him and the forest. Pine, sunlilies, and, somehow, sunlight.
She picked out what she needed from the available medical supplies and sat down delicately next to him, barely disturbing the wrinkles.
The bandages were decent, but they were old, Tala worked quickly. He hissed when she cleaned the wound.
Tala pushed the small cluster of honey she had recollected from his hand into his mouth as if she were comforting a child.
“Tawtute medicine stings, you’ve always known that. Just enjoy this.” Tala said, a small smile quirked on her lips as she foresaw the scowl begin to sink into the wrinkle of his mouth.
He definitely didn’t appreciate it but kept stoic as he let the honey roll around on his tongue. Sweet, his eyes flickered to the navi in front of him. The scene felt so… familiar, despite his best efforts to resist
The Tawkami alchemist finished and quietly touched his exposed forehead. The fever wasn’t too strong, he had sweated out the majority of it and Tala had spotted some pill bottles earlier. She wished she had her usual ingredients, the Tawkami medicine and recipes that could heal him faster.
“How did this happen?”
“Do you really want to know?” Neteyam mumbled though he did admire her handiwork as he looked down.
It wasn’t from uncooperation that he asked this, Tala knew. She paused if she really did want to know. What was a messy scar and a fever for this solder was likely something much more permanent for whoever did this to him, it made her chew the inside of her cheek. The tranquil seed was still always an option.
“Why didn’t the vrrteps heal you? Your wound shouldn’t have gotten infected.” She switched her question.
“I told you I don’t like the scientists.” Neteyam thought her change in topic was prudent.
She nodded and he realized she still didn’t understand.
“I’d rather tend to myself, I know how to and I don’t need them to run their… tests on me. Keep me under observation for something as small as this.”
Curiosity flashed in Tala’s eyes and Neteyam mentally decided he’d only humor her for as long as this small ball of honey in his mouth lasted.
“Do they do that often? Keep you under observation?”
“They brought me back from the dead, Tala. Of course.”
“What do they do?”
“They check my vitals, lay me inside one of their bio-lab chambers.”
“And what else?”
The ball of honey was melting fast.
Tumblr media
“I’m unconscious when I’m in the chamber.”
“But does it… hurt? When you wake up?”
Neteyam didn’t feel like answering, so he sucked until the honey disappeared completely on his tongue.
“Thank you for tending to me, Tala. I’ll call a guard to escort you back.” He was not surprised from the severely offended look on Tala’s face.
For she didn’t appreciate the clipped ‘thank you, get out’ from Neteyam’s mouth. Tala kneeled up to tower over him, letting the unbuttoned lab coat fall off her shoulders as she placed her hand on her hips.
The soldier would hurl himself off a cliff before confessing that his eyes strained not to stare at that deliciously thin, tiny, piece of grey cloth that covered her cunt. She looked too good in it, no loincloth to cover the supple fold of her flesh, her thighs and pelvis meeting- focus.
“You didn’t answer my question.” She said.
“I’ve answered enough.”
“You didn’t answer an important one.” Tala was slowly realizing she should not have missed him as much as she did in his absence. She sighed, and Neteyam took minor offense to being treated as if he was the source of her vexation.
“I’m just… Of course, I’ll leave, you need to rest.” She figured she wasn’t going to get any more information and a larger part of her was scolding her for trying in the first place. This skxawng wasn’t worth the effort, she had done her duty as a healer and alchemist. This was enough.
Neteyam stilled his movements, taken aback at her so quickly giving up. He regarded her suspiciously and sighed. He lets the wrist tech fall to the floor.
“You drop-” Tala was about to be very helpful and reach down to retrieve it until Neteyam suddenly grabbed her by her waist and pulled her down with him, letting his back fall onto the mattress.
“Neteyam! Your wound!” She yelped.
“Just be quiet.”
Tala looked at him in complete disbelief, Neteyam kept his eyes trained on the ceiling since he didn’t need to look at her to already know what her expression was like. She was stunned, to say the least, but Tala was also minding the feeling of her body pressed onto his bare chest. This felt the closest thing to tender between them.
She decided being a little selfish for the comfort wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Instead of asking more questions, which the soldier was preparing himself mentally for, Tala surprised him by simply sighing and settling in, tracing the stripes on his chest. Her fingertips danced lazily on the skin, careful over his old gunshot wound on his left pec. Whatever, looks like she was stuck here.
Now Neteyam knew he was still delirious from his fever when he found himself not stopping her. When he found her soft curves like a blanket on top of him and her careful touch endearing. This was why he needed strength every time he saw her, already he was letting her entrap him like a small animal, attracted to her warmth and smell. He had to remember that even wasps also settled within her, waiting to attack him on all fronts.
His tail thumped softly against the side of the bed, agitated. Tala noticed but stayed quiet. She reminded herself that every show of embarrassment was because his ego was crying, not because he considered her capable of affecting him.
“Why do you help me?” When Neteyam asked it he wondered to himself why he was so eager to get eaten and stung.
Tala could feel the bass of his voice tremor through her and she raised her face to look at him.
“A healer doesn’t need a reason to heal, remember?” Tala replied softly, simply, she rested her cheek on her arm. In the end, this was what she believed in, even if her wartime experience told her this was reckless.
The Omaticayan was not expecting to be so unscathed.
“Mm.” He hummed.
“Did you give Halloway that black eye?”
There it was, the first sting. Neteyam shrugged and then winced. Tala was immediately amused and scooted closer to his face, grinning.
“How come?” She asked, beginning to sound all too excited.
“… You were unfairly punished, remember?” His heart didn’t know whether to feel lighter or heavier when she giggled.
“You got revenge for me before I even asked!” Tala was smiling, wasn’t this a treat? Did this skxawng actually have the capacity to be charitable? “How come you didn’t tell me?”
It was when it dropped that he realized he was smiling at all. He trained his eyes back on the bare ceiling. He remembered when he used to ache to see stars.
“What would you have done if I did?”
“I probably would’ve kissed you.”
He furrowed his brows at her, unimpressed. Tala scoffed and laughed again.
“A real kiss. Not that bloody mauling you make us do with our lips.”
Now that offended him, Neteyam propped himself up by his elbows.
“I don’t ever hear you complainin-”
Tala pressed her lips so completely softly against his, it should’ve been so easy for him to shove her off.
Yet his voice broke off instantly and her eyelashes brushed against his cheek. Her eyes were mercifully closed so she couldn’t see the war his ears flushed red.
Another sting.
“You taste like honey,” Tala said, smiling into the kiss. She didn’t have any real reason why she was doing this. Maybe she wanted to prove herself wrong. Maybe she wanted to check really how little Neteyam cared for her… and how much.
His body felt hot, Great fucking Mother why was she so… It was embarrassing how quickly he was getting enraptured by her whims. She always did whatever she wanted, he hadn’t seen that as something attractive before.
The Tawkami pulled her face back and so embarrassingly his own chased after hers until she put his hand over his mouth.
“See? A real kiss.”
Neteyam dumbly nodded and only when Tala ever so softly giggled did he regain some sense. He scoffed and quickly turned the both of them to properly lay in his bed, pulling the covers over them.
He settled his face into her soft breasts, the only thing that he felt hadn’t betrayed or embarrassed him that day.
“Excuse me??” Tala squeaked, amused though.
“Shu’up. Tired.” His voice was muffled into the fat of her breasts but Tala basically understood. She chortled, was this fondness she was feeling? His resistance towards her was bordering so much closer to adorable than to infuriating just then, the flashes of his old self were… bring up warm reminders. Of when he was much nicer and much funner to be around, much kinder.
Tala settled in, supposing correctly she wouldn’t be let go any time soon. Her hands softly patted his back as they laid there.
“Fine, I’ll leave you be since you’re hurt.” She said in her magnanimous good grace. She decided to also ignore Neteyam snorting between her breasts.
Silence returned and Tala considered speaking of something of much more substance, of importance. Like the war, his family, but the words stuck in her throat. They were virtually strangers. Even strangers in war could share intimacy like this if they were desperate and tired enough.
The thought made playing with Neteyam’s unadorned braids of hair feel… invasive. She stopped.
They were just starved for warmth, that was all. Neteyam felt lucky that he was drowsy now. Like Tala, there was too much he didn’t want to think about, no intention to release it all.
Both kept silently awake for hours before drifting into slumber.
Neteyam’s face was lit by stinging sparks of fire and magma.
It was hot, so hot he could barely breathe. He looked around, coughing, and there he saw the slender back of someone who looked too eerily familiar. He groaned internally, he had always hated Eywa’s ability to send visions in dreams, did he really have no place for solace?
“Mother.”
Neytiri turned, her amber eyes wide and blazing as she looked at her son with a face of anguish. She ran towards him, through plumes of burning stone.
“Maitan [my son]!”
Neteyam grimaced as his mother’s arms encircled him, her grip tight and pleading. She was shaking, he could see how aged the skin on her hands had become, her smell of daffodils.
He saw his songcord hanging on her hips and he felt as if the splatters of fire were less painful a sensation than seeing that.
Neytiri stepped back to look at her firstborn, miracles and blessings on her tongue. Her fingers wandered along his face, his scars, the one on his forehead was hidden from her however.
Her reverie was cut short when she truly looked at the RDA vrrtep uniform he was fully clothed in
“You are alive.” Her voice trembled regardless, too much pain and happiness bubbled up to the surface as the lines of her conflicted smile deepened, she was trying not to sob.
“Mother.” Neteyam couldn’t help but want to be kind. He had often daydreamed of how such reunions would go. He had calculated soon enough his mother would see him, as he is now. He knew she would know she’d have to kill him and how she would want to refuse to. He counted on it.
“M-my son, how could you think like this?” His mother’s voice broke at the question, somehow everything the two were thinking was so plain to them here.
Their ears flicked at the roars of fire and heaviness settled.
“If the People give up Jake Sully, I won’t have to.” Neteyam said and he could feel his mother start to draw blood. Nothing, it felt like barely anything.
“What is this poison, Neteyam? What have they done to you, maitan?” Neytiri nearly shouted, her own songcord swinging as her whole body shook in anger, imitating the volcanoes around them. “I will kill them, I will avenge you-“
Jake Sully first. He alone should be the only casualty, Neteyam knew that, all of Eywa'eveng knew that. But even in his clearheadedness, not at all shrouded in migraine, he could feel his scars emanate a heat hotter than fire. Nothing to hide behind, resentment filled up so much of his core.
His head and his heart wanted revenge. It wasn’t even his fault, none of theirs, Neteyam knew so logically.
“Bro…?”
He turned his head so quickly his plain braids whipped to see a na’vi too familiar to him. Five fingers, eyebrows, face and limbs inked with dark tattoos, and taller. He walked towards them, somehow feet not burning and the heat made his visage blurry but not his emotions.
“Lo’ak…” it was their mother, Neytiri called out to him in warning. The son in front of her, she would not dare take her eyes off of him now.
Not when the inferno reflected in Neteyam’s eyes was overflowing, his jaw tightened, if his nails were longer he’d long be drawing blood into his palms.
“You do not want this.” Neytiri’s voice rose as Lo’ak approached them, his lips parted. Wonder, horror?
Guilt.
“Bro-, Neteyam. Neteyam I’m so sorry-“ Lo’ak wanted to believe it was because of the way even the air sizzled that he found it harder to breathe, not because of his… did he have the right to call him a brother?
“First, Dad. Because we shouldn’t even exist and you know it.” Neteyam’s voice was eerie and he stepped closer to his younger sibling, it made Lo’ak’s feet falter and Neytiri’s throat bubbled up with panic.
“What- What are you talking about-?”
“There was something Quaritch told me since the time I’ve come back.” Neteyam spat at the words ‘come back’ as if he had any choice in the matter. Neytiri followed as her sons came closer and closer to each other, no one backing down. The lava was following the steps of each warrior.
“Something about the ‘sins of the father’ to be paid by his children.”
Lo’ak kept his gaze steady, his hands twitched at the threat. Neteyam didn’t have a clue what his face was like now, but he could feel it through Lo’ak. Monster, freak, he supposed it was unsurprising.
A son that was supposed to be dead.
Both sons of a traitor.
Neteyam stopped a meter away from the younger. Their heights seemed even, Lo’ak’s warrior garb and belly band looked similar to the one he had had. He wanted to laugh, was that a tribute to him?
Lo’ak’s ears turned down, jaw set.
“Do you really think that’s fair, baby brother?” His voice was too calm.
“Neteyam, stop this, they have poisoned you against your own family, your people! Please, just come home maitan-“
Lo’ak heard the mistake in his mother’s plea too late.
“Home? Like when I asked to come back home when I died?” His fury was overwhelming, Neteyam was seeing things he did not recognize. He was shot in the head, when had he the time to tell them? What was this dark view of the stars, faces of loved ones looking down on him, where was this from?
The other two sensed the confusion, only making their own burst through.
“Neteyam, please, just listen to us-“
“Maitan, it will be okay! Your-your father has barely slept since you-“
“Why should the People continue to suffer for his actions? Jake Sully already doomed this place-!”
“Dad doomed this place? Are you out of your fucking mind?” Lo’ak’s tone turned grave with this outburst and he ventured closer to his brother despite Neytiri’s protests.
“You’ve got to fucking joking. You’re actually on the side of the people that ruined our lives, destroyed our homes, killed everyone, killed you, mom’s family-?!” They were growling at each other now, Neteyam no longer had the significant height advantage he was used to. Their fangs gleamed red in the dream, as if already bloodied, he always hated Lo’ak’s were sharper but he was confident it wouldn’t help that much.
Both were suddenly aware that in their respective war costumes, both had knives strapped to their bodies.
“No!” Neytiri sobbed with a pain that both brothers knew they’d never forget. She reached for her own, to protect, to defend, Neteyam’s gloved fingers wrapped around the handle of his black combat knife, and Lo’ak’s citrine eyes begged for peace as his hand reached for his carved hunting knife.
Tumblr media
Neteyam recognized that knife. He gave it to him, a present for Lo’ak’s iknimiya, recently sharpened. Neytiri’s knife hung with a feather he had gifted to her as a child.
Neteyam now truly knew Eywa was cruel.

“Neteyam!!”
The soldier gasped and immediately hurled his body forward to break the bones of whoever was in front of him.
Tala choked and she placed her hands on his face.
“Breathe, Neteyam.”
One blink and he could see the cool-toned blues and greens of dull and dark silver walls in shadow. Bridgehead. His room.
Inferno-yellow eyes met cooling leaf hues. Green, green eyes, Tala.
The breath he let out was shuddering and violent, he immediately crumpled tightly around her and Tala found herself now trying to hold the soldier up with wrinkled, damp blankets.
“I’m sorry, shit, I’m sorry…” he gasped out quickly, his entire body felt so fucking cold now, it hurt. Tala blinked owlishly but her sleepy state focused on comforting him.
“It was a dream, just a dream. You’re okay, you’re okay.” She whispered soothingly, she rubbed his back. They were sitting up in the middle of his bed now, though Neteyam was still hunched over and breathing hard to regain himself. She felt his calloused hands dug into her body as if tattooing her stripes into his palms…
“It’s your fever, you’re sweating, you’ll warm up in a bit.” Tala continued and her voice stayed calming and even. She couldn’t do much else when Neteyam’s remedy to whatever he had seen in his sleep was to bury their bodies impossibly closer together. The soldier hadn’t meant to hurt her.
He pushed his face into her softness, desperate for real warmth, not the clammy fabric of the blanket.
“Li’Tala…” Tala jerked her entire body away, stunned. He didn’t know why he said it, her full name, one that he knew-
“Don’t call me that, Neteyam.” She said, her firm voice edged on icy.
“Only my mate is allowed to call me ‘Li’Tala’ so I don’t want to hear my name out of your mouth again, you!”
“Oh, and I’m sure your mate will be crying tears of gratitude for finally becoming worthy of it, of you, beautiful Li’Tala.”
Their second meeting as young adults was not… frictionless. But as childish as it was, Tala never wavered in this little dream of hers. Who cared that it was immature, she didn’t allow exceptions, even though the Omaticayan prince bristled hard when not given one.
Neteyam always remembered this of her, yet her insistence and denial of him now made his body feel that much more frozen-numb.
He chased after her skin and stuck his tongue out to taste its natural salt, reminding him of the first time they had reunited. Her taste and her everything, his whole body was shaking for it.
“Li’Tala, Li’Tala…”
“Neteyam–stop–” Now Tala started to squirm in his desperate hold. She could feel his hardening arousal between them, settling so perfectly against her vulva. She pushed against him.
“You need sleep, not a fuck.” She hissed. Tala shivered as the soldier switched between licking, sucking, and biting lightly along the tanhi on her shoulders and chest.
“I need you, Li’Tala.” He rasped deeply. She ignored the way his voice made even her toes curl because now her blood was pumping far too loudly. What did he just say to her? Was he losing his mind, what pills did he take??
“Eywa, get a grip!”
He suckled at the flesh of her tits, Tala shoved his face away with the thick metal of the inhibitor cuffs. He groaned and settled for simply pulling her onto his lap closer than ever, taking a break from his ministrations.
She huffed, she was panting much harder than she realized.
“What happened, what did you see?”
Great mother or whatever being out there, if there ever was one…  what could he do to make her realize his ache for her?
“... I need your help, Li’Tala.” He started, fangs catching onto her skin as he spoke. It all made her freeze, she peered down and tried to gently bring his face back towards hers. He let her and looked up at her, she caught herself thinking it was as if he was beseeching her. There was no way.
“I need to forget it. I know you can help.” He said, sunspot yellow met with her cool green. She knew she could to, it’s just…
“Stop calling me Li’Tala” She tried again, this time much more softly. He groaned.
“Let me pretend.” He whispered hotly, his fingers reaching for her cheek. His fingertips barely touched hers and yet she felt only heat.
He still felt so cold.
She gulped. What did pretending mean, what was he thinking of? Tala usually felt like she was the one getting burnt by him, now it seemed like he was starving for her kindling because now… his fire was weak. He was begging her.
Tala bit her lips, frustrated, conflicted. She could just do the same to Neteyam as she did with Halloway, she didn’t need to comfort him.
The Tawkami glanced at her wrists still heavy with metal inhibitors, he needed her?
She would blame her drowsiness for it, just… fuck it. Fuck it.
“You follow my lead then.” Tala whispered and Neteyam swore he could feel his cock twitch at her tone. He nodded eagerly.
Tala then smashed their lips together. His tongue immediately sought inside her, to explore the cavern of her teeth.
She was practically sitting on him now. She could feel his bulge dig into her thigh, he was pawing at her, palming whoever fat he could. He groaned into her perfume.
Tala shushed him softly. She raised her hips just enough for him to frantically shove down his sweats and Tala delicately pushed the tawtute tewng to the side, it squeezed her pink and puffy folds so perfectly that it made him nearly weep. He was already leaking as he heaved, not noticing the bitter look on her face.
“Don’t worry.” She cooed so nicely in contrast. Her voice was like those tawtute myths he was told about by his father, angelic. She slowly and carefully sunk down her pelvis, his cock head breached her open none too gently and she muffled a high-pitched moan, letting Neteyam’s hard shaft split her open. The stretch ached but she kept her voice even and breathy.
“Be good.” She whispered and waited for his reply. The soldier groaned, every strand of muscle forcing him to not push her down right there and then.
Tala sunk down completely it made Neteyam groan harshly and loudly at the feeling of her tight and warm walls surrounding him. His nerves were shot. Naturally, he was about to fuck into her heat when she did it for him. She dragged her hips up unbearably slowly, both reveling how her cunt squeezed each ridge, so hot, so tight.
“Stay still.”
She slammed her hips down with a ferocity that made both of them moan loudly, she nearly cried out. She started to bounce, holding onto Neteyam’s broad shoulders for support.
“Mmmm…” Tala moaned low, each moan punctuated every time she felt her ass slap against his thighs. He moaned with her, finding himself on the receiving end of her fast pace. He groaned into her hair wantonly, cock twitching inside her.
“Fuuckkk, hahh, fuck.” He cursed softly then latched his mouth on his first mark on her. She stopped suddenly and it embarrassed him how nearly he fucking whined.
“No biting.” She cooed and Neteyam thought he was being driven insane tonight. Today. Since he had taken Tala.
He growled but nodded, settling into a tight embrace instead. He looked at her expectantly, was this allowed?
Tala’s smile was enough to replace the ache for stars he usually felt whenever he looked up in his room.
Then his eyes nearly rolled back when she slammed and bucked harder onto him.
“F-uuuck, haaah, aangh~” Tala graphically moaned into his ear. She panted and her tits bounced as she pistoned herself on his cock. “Aahhh, nnnggg…” she quietly moaned, angling her hips just so to make the fat tip brush against her sweet spots. Neteyam rutted into her uncontrollably, losing himself as he mindlessly chased her warmth. His mouth was open in a silent moan, holy shit.
Tala’s so fucking wet now and she rolled her pelvis to award herself louder moans from Neteyam’s lips.
“Li’T-tala, so good, fuck you’re so good.” He praised, face still stuck to the crook of her neck. She switched her pace and started rotating her hips, rolling them as she still lazily stroked herself along his shift. She felt her self-satisfaction spike when the soldier’s yellow eyes rolled up and fluttered, pupils were so blown out. She admitted he was adorable like this too.
She brought Neteyam’s hand to her belly, pushing down his hand with hers against the bulge there. They both groaned deeply at the sensation, Tala was near hiccuping from the pleasure. A toy that she was, she had only a toy’s ability to see Neteyam unravel. And she chased it hungrily.
His vulnerable expression contorted from the pleasure. To say Tala’s pussy was the best medication he’s had all week would be an understatement.
“Am I doing good, mighty warrior?” Tala squeezed her walls tight for good measure, a moan ripping out her throat as she did. It was worth it, hearing Neteyam’s louder and deeper one that ended with his teeth back on her skin. He quickly ripped his head back when he remembered her little rule.
“So fucking good, please. Fuckk…” He groaned, massaging her belly now even harder, the thought alone made him want to cum. Tala gasped.
“Mmmm, nnng!!” She squealed, and she fucked herself on his pulsating and thick cock even faster, the squelching sounds fueled the both of them.
Plap, plap, squelch, the mattress started to creak. The soldier switched to holding onto her hips, just to make each thrust that much deeper, to feel her cunt flutter at every brush near her cervix and Tala was seeing stars.
Each ridge and thick vein on his shaft was melting and massaging her cunt. She was enjoying herself fully, from the perspective of the toy she was. He certainly needed this toy so badly now.
“Mmm, mmm!! Haah, hahh, is this really helping? Is your toy pleasing you? Maybe we should stop…” She teased, suddenly slowing down, and was delightfully surprised when he mindlessly begged.
“NO! Fuck, please, dont’s-stop, such a good toy, Li’Tala. So fucking wet, so fucking tight.” He blathered, arms only tightening around her desperately.
Tala threw her head back when Neteyam reached between them, with intense accuracy, to squeeze her clit.
“Oahhh!! Mmmg- Neteyam!” She cried out, the sounds of slapping skin made him laugh dumbly. Their pelvises were completely covered in each other’s slick.
“Take my cum, Tala, need you to take all my cum..” he muttered into her ear and he used his grip on her clit to guide Tala’s pace, she was so close now.
“Don’t stop, so fucking good ma’fil, Li’Tala…” he breathed out, his voice unsteady and deeply tinged in pleasure. The way Neteyam husked her name made her pussy walls convulse.
“Haa, haaa, ahh, I’m close~! I’m close, Nete-yam, Neteyam, so close, close!” Tala whined and dug their pelvises so tightly together that her pearl of nerves rubbed harshly against his toned muscle. She grinded on him wildly, his cock hitting her gummy walls so good, she abused her sweet spots with him.
“So hot, so hot…” he was praising her, the sight of her had made him completely forget how he felt like he was freezing just moments ago. Her soft breasts bouncing, torso in a light sheen of sweat and her eyes so fucking focused on him, her cunt was devoted to squelching lewdly every time she grinded on him.
He was close too, he could feel how heavy his balls were now and without either of their warnings, Neteyam spilled his load into her, it made her mewl as she came hard with him.
Tumblr media
Black spots dotted their vision as they painted, their juices had overflowed inside Tala and usually the sight would irritate Neteyam, making him wanna fuck it back into her.
But Tala didn’t mind the mess. In fact, she wanted more. After a few seconds, she rolled her hips again and even though they stuttered, she felt herself able to overcome the crackles of overstimulation.
Her hands delicately laced through his hair to gently stroke at the base of his kuru.
Neteyam hissed loudly and squeezed onto her ass in warning, barely able to stop himself from bucking into her overflowing cunt.
Too fucking soon, the sensation of her pink flesh was overwhelming, the friction was making his muscles involuntarily twitch, he groaned as he rested his head back.
“What’s wrong? You don't want to?” Tala asked, her voice soft and sultry. The question just sounded like the deadliest taunt to him. She was rotating her hips and twisting him from inside her, his cock felt like it was being choked in different ways, squeezed and massaged in a way he hadn’t been before. She was fucking milking him, Neteyam only dumbly shuddered and thrusted upwards weakly.
Her tiny pussy was soaking him, his balls, and his mattress but that didn’t matter when it was the only thing on his mind, her gummy flesh was the only thing reminding him he was still breathing.
After what felt like an eternity of the most delicious torture, Tala finally screamed her last climax and mercifully stopped, shivering from aftershocks of pleasure. She had pulled so much more ropes of cum from him and just staying inside her nearly made him cum again, it made Neteyam whimper low and hotly, his golden eyes barely able to stay open. Tala finally collapsed on him, muscles were burning and she was breathing heavily, but the look on his face made it all so worth it.
She was impressed with herself, her body was heavy with what felt like deep buckets of creamy liquid spilling out of her. She noticed now how tightly his tail had encircled her thigh, a slight mark left from it now.
“Fuck… Li’Tala…” Neteyam drawled out wearily, he collapsed onto his back and brought her with him. Her full name brought back shudders along her spine, the way he said it was positively lewd and so, so, intimate.
Tala hummed, fully able to feel the slowly calming pulse on his neck. She licked her lips, she was enticed. Not one had she left marks on him, she never felt a desire to.
The Omaticayan breathed hard, when he felt her fangs push past her perfect lips and onto his skin. It wasn’t deep, barely a bruise, but Tala finally figured out why he enjoyed doing it to her so much. The way his scent covered her face and somehow she could taste it in his skin was intoxicating.
She licked the small wound while Neteyam fought internally how horny he instantly became again despite his exhaustion. Tala hummed, the two too tired to even look at each other from where they rested.
“Good boy…” She said softly before fading into slumber. Only Neteyam could feel how hard his cock twitched when he heard her whisper. They were fucked out and warm and his miserable dreams were nothing but fuzzy images.
His own consciousness was fading fast and any shiver his body felt was definitely from no bite of cold, regardless of the sweat. Now it was more like pinpricks of pleasure and pain, definitely distracting. Neteyam closed his eyes.
He embraced Tala tenderly, he breathed in her hair, and his mind was completely soothed. He slept wholly to Tala, to the smell of her sweetness, the beat of her heart, the sound of her breath, choosing to forget about those damned dreams and his damned existence.
He breathed out once again, vague recollections of fire licking at his skin.
Neteyam forced the thoughts away by lightly running his fingers on the mark Tala just left on him, barely aching, he could only find it by carefully sensing the barest indentation. He then felt for the one he left on Tala all that time ago, the texture of the scar made it much easier.
Both comforted him, grounded him, he didn’t notice the way his tail wagged a bit too contently. All of his muscles relaxed and gratefully his sleep was dreamless.
His last thought was how much he enjoyed calling her Li’Tala than ma’fil.

It was slowly nearing half a year since Shera and Cregan arrived at King’s Landing– she still hadn’t gotten used to the heat but she had finally, somehow, begun to adjust to the people, the looks, the whispers and sneers.
She, albeit slowly, was losing care in such things. She had been spending more and more time with the people she cared about– the ones who made her happy. She still visited Helaena and the children once a day and sometimes would even stay overnight and giggle under the covers with the princess like they would when they were children.
Her mornings started by watching Aemond spar with Ser Cole. She didn’t hide from it anymore– as she felt… somewhat liberated from showing her eye to him. She couldn’t exactly explain, to herself, much less anyone else, why she felt warmer than usual when watching him clash swords with his mentor. Sweat dripping from his face, the little sneer he plastered on when he was particularly concentrating. It felt like butterflies were trapped in her stomach, beating against her skin to get out. It was unfamiliar at first, the feeling– but now it’s become a recognized acquaintance, even if she couldn’t exactly name it.
Aemond, as well, had taken it upon himself to make more effort to spend time with Shera. His days before she returned to King’s Landing were very structured, very planned and scheduled. He would wake up, spar with Cole from morning light until lunch with his mother, then back to sparring until early evening when he would wind down by reading in his chambers, eat dinner, and then go to bed. ‘Going to bed’ didn’t really indicate sleeping, however. He didn’t need much of it to function and found the dreams (and nightmares, to his chagrin) that came with sleep uncouth– so he laid, usually for hours, until his mind drifted into the lightest of sleep cycles. He valued organization and repetition– impromptu changes to such a rigid routine were unwelcome.
Except for Shera– a very impromptu change to his life on her own. Mayhaps unwelcome at first, his outward antagonistic behavior to her was improper and came from a place of, surprisingly, regret. Regret and self-loathing. Usually, he attributed the feeling of self-pity and self flagellation in association with his brother, who was in all rights, a pathetic example of a man (but still his brother and wouldn’t tolerate such talk about him from anyone else) but when Shera came back, walking down that hall– she had looked so small, like she was a fragile heirloom on the verge of breaking at any moment. She could hardly walk without guidance and hid herself.
When his mother said she was returning, as vague as it was, he felt some sort of resentment bubbling up in his gut. What gave her the right to return now? He fully expected her to be the epitome of a Northern lady, hardy and strong, unyielding. The letters ‘she’ (unbeknownst to him at the time, the words were fabrications of Cregan) sent after Driftmark, painted the picture of someone who was fine, who was well adjusted, who didn’t have to go through moons and moons of relearning how to be a person. The image of Shera he had concocted into his mind, and onto paper– an icy woman with fiery hair who would come to blows with someone rather than shed a tear– was not what he saw.
No, what he had seen in that hall, who he had seen– he didn’t recognize her. Then, seeing the small curl of copper hair, the fur stole, the wolf. It struck him like a bolt of lightning, spurring every cell in his body into action, setting them on fire. Blood pumped in his ears and he could hardly hear her (whispering voice aside).
She was broken. Harsh, yes– but it was true. She was a shell, behest to the terrible experience they both suffered.
Regret flooded through him. She was this way because of him, because he dragged her along in the middle of the night to watch him claim Vhagar.
I should have killed them. I should have killed them.
And he retreated from her. He hardly remembers his words to her after she came out from his mother’s chambers– they felt vile in his mouth, like spewing venom. The primal part of him, the dragon, was unruly and restless.
He couldn’t stop lashing out at her–
But what did he really feel?
He fucking missed her. He missed her more than he could ever profess. He wouldn’t admit it outloud, of course, he had to maintain some form of self-preservation.
After their night in her room, after seeing her eye– there was a shift. They spent more time together and she became a fixture of his schedule.
Wake up, spar with Cole and have Shera watch him until noon, they would lunch together three days out of the week with Helaena. He cut his afternoon sparring in half and spent that time with Shera. At first it was awkward, but they melded into one another like their youth quickly.
She begged him to teach her how to draw, to help strengthen her eyesight.
“It… it hurts to focus.” she sniffed, looking up at him. She didn’t wear her veil when they were alone, which he made sure they were when they were drawing. Her blind eye was red rimmed slightly, twitching.
He had set up a vase on a small table for her to draw– it was a simple clay vase with a depiction of two nightingales in flight. They had just moved on from plain objects to something a bit more detailed, albeit only by a little bit.
“Don’t strain, Shera. Just… look at it normally. It’s blurry in some places, right?”
“… yes.”
“Okay. You looked at it up close for a good five minutes. Do you remember what was on the side?”
“The… the nightingale imprint.”
“You can see it in your mind, but it’s not clear to the eye. Use your memory to fill in the blanks.”
“Aemond— this… this is just a test of memory. How is this helping my eyes?”
“Trust me.”
She started off shaky, her first slew of sketches no better than his were when he had first started, but she fell into it quickly. She developed her own style, straying from the charcoal that Aemond used exclusively, and opted for more colorful tools– she had woad paste pastels imported from Dorne. They would sit and depict the same thing and come out with completely different results.
It was so easy to forget that she was betrothed to another. That she was to leave soon.
That she was to be his nephew’s wife. His nephew who didn’t give a shit about her. His nephew who was there. Did no one else think it a bit sick that she was to be the wife of someone who took a part in her mutilation?
Was he the only sane one?
He sighed softly as they finished up their drawings for the day. They had been sketching the coastline of Blackwater Bay– Shera went with a color scheme of blue and green and sparse spots of orange and yellow.
He stuck to his monochromatic charcoal.
“Rhaenyra’s name day gala is… in a fortnight, right?” Shera hummed, using her foot to pet Moongeist, who was at her feet.
“Mm,” Aemond responded, flicking some errant charcoal powder from his doublet. “A mummer’s farce, if you ask me.”
“... I don’t care much for events– but at least… your mother and sister are getting along,” she tilted her head as she wiped her hands off.
Rhaenyra and Alicent had been working together to plan the event and were in high spirits. They were frequently seen chatting lightheartedly.
“Half-sister,” Aemond clarifies, giving her a pointed look.
“Half-sister,” Shera says, brows raised. “I suppose it is a send off, too– since…” her voice trails off slightly, not really wanting to talk about her impending wedding to Jacaerys. She hasn’t spoken much to her betrothed as she didn’t feel the need to– she let him run around with her brother and do what he liked. She imagined it wouldn’t be much different when they were married.
An uneasy silence settled over them. There were many words on the tips of their tongues that they just couldn’t say– it would make it real.
“Shera-,”
“Aemond-,”
They spoke at the same time, standing up simultaneously. Moongeist made a warbling chuff sound that sounded like a laugh.
He must be sick of our antics.
“I should get back to my chambers– before dinner. Cregan wants to… eat with me, for some reason.” she shrugged her shoulders.
“Hm,” Aemond hummed in his usual manner.
Shera sat across from Cregan, leg crossed over the other as she fed Moongeist scraps under the table.
“What did you want to speak about?” she broke the silence, glancing up at him. She had put her veil back on– to her dismay, as she had come to like not having it on… around Aemond, at least.
“Do I need a reason to want to dine with my sister?” he asked, clenching his jaw slightly.
“... no,” she mumbled, flicking her nails against one another. “But you don’t usually dine with me.”
He chewed on his piece of mutton slowly, regarding her. “I’m leaving, Shera. I need to go back North.”
“Why?” she blurts out, a bit more emotionally than she wanted to. She and Cregan didn’t have a great relationship, but they were… siblings. There was familiarity.
“I’ve stayed too long already, there is a keep to run, things to do, Shera,” he narrowed his gaze. “Will you be alright… alone?”
Her lip caught between her teeth. “... I suppose so.” she and Cregan had their moments– she thought he was a huge idiot most of the time, but that was her brother. She had been by his side for the last ten years and he nursed her back to some semblance of health when she returned from Driftmark. No matter the choices he made, the ones he made for her– they were all one another had, really.
Her chest ached slightly that he would be going back North and leaving her here. She wouldn’t be alone, per say, but… her blood would be so far away.
“Will you… attend the wedding?” she asked then, drawing little circles on the table with the tip of her nail.
“Yes, I’ll return to Dragonstone for it.”
“Dragonstone?” Shera looked up, slightly alarmed. “I thought the wedding would be in King’s Landing?”
Cregan stopped chewing, suddenly looking sheepish. It was unbecoming of him. “I… yes,” he cleared his throat. “Jacaerys said that after his mother’s name day gala, they will move back to Dragonstone.”
Why does no one tell me anything? “Hm.” she grumbled, sounding much like Aemond– she’s picked up on his little mannerisms and made them her own, it seemed.
“You will be going with them and will be wed soon after.”
She made another noncommittal noise, scraping the remains of her plate to the floor. She’d lost her appetite.
She would be alone sooner than she thought.
Returning from a luncheon with Helaena, a few days after Cregan’s departure, she discarded her veil right away as soon as the door was closed behind her.
She waved her hand in front of her face, despairing in the heat of the South. Moongeist agreed, his tongue lolling out in a pant as he lapped at a small tub of water at the foot of the bed.
“It’s too hot for us here, dovey,” she whimpered, wiping sweat from her brow, beginning to strip the various layers of clothing she had on— she did have somewhere to be later in the day, but she would simply have to redress. “I hope Dragonstone is more breezy, lest we melt.”
The layers flew off of her, pooling upon the floor like a puddle of dark ichor. It likely didn’t help that she only wished to wear dark colors, attracting the heat of the sun to her poor constitution. Her cheeks flushed red with the errant warmth and she wondered if this was how those with Targaryen blood felt all of the time— constantly huffing, puffing, warm and sweating. It was terrible.
Finally in nothing but her shift and underclothes, she walked to the bed, hand reached out to peel back the blanket when something shiny caught her eye.
Investigating further, she found a small velvety box, opened to reveal a silver choker, inlaid with three sapphires. Blinking profusely, Shera carefully pried the piece out of its holdings and inspected it. It was, to say the least, flawless. It matched her silver earrings that she always wore almost down to the exact detail, the engravings even the same— long, flowing tendrils into the metal, outlining the gems like garlands. Pearls hung from the bottom of each sapphire. Her thumb roved over the center sapphire, the largest one and the most prominent. It was cool to the touch.
Gently placing the choker down, she dismantled the box looking for a note or any indication of who might have left it. She guessed it to be Jace— did he intend for her to wear it to the gala? She would have to find a garment to match.
Shera descended to her wardrobe, rummaging through until she landed on something that would go swimmingly with her new necklace. It was a dress she hadn’t worn at all, and had been tailored for her shortly before leaving Winterfell. It was a silver and blue dress with intricate embroidery akin to that of a Godswood, but the leaves were a cool toned blue rather than red. She had a pearl-laden head garment, imbued with a silken veil and ringed headdress of sorts, with silver moons hanging down on each side.
Curious.
“You… must stay outside, lovey,” Shera murmured to Moongeist. She had received a missive– unclear from who, but either Alicent and Rhaenyra– that they would prefer if her wolf was not in attendance to the gala. She wanted to cry, leaving him outside of the ballroom. Contrary to popular belief, she didn’t really command her companion– their relationship, as impenetrable as others may see it, was the culmination of years of hard work and trust. They were so attuned to each other, Moongeist knowing when she was pushing herself too far, when she was in distress, and when he needed to step into a situation. He was, on all accounts, very polite and well-mannered – for a wolf. He had never bitten anyone who didn’t deserve it. His good conduct thus far and impeccable record was apparently not enough for him to be admitted to the event. He whined as Shera snuffed into his fur, murmuring soft nothings into it. “I’ll return as soon as I can,” she whispered. “I’ll come get you when everyone leaves and you shall have all the scraps you’d like.”
Tearing herself from him, he sat dutifully outside of the glass door that led from the gardens into the ballroom. She willed herself not to cry, not to cry.
She was unsteady on her own feet, hoping to find someone familiar to steady herself on. The last option of familiarity presented itself first. Jacaerys spotted her right away, putting a hand on her waist. “Shera,” he smiled warmly. “You look… wonderful tonight. Mother is going to be so happy to see you in attendance.”
“Jacaerys,” she responded, willing a smile on her face. He was better than no one. She steadied herself by putting a hand on his shoulder. His eyes, usually sparkling with mirth, were a bit dim. He seemed… forlorn. “We don’t have such lavish events like this much– up North… apart from feasts. There usually isn’t much dancing.”
He swallowed, his brow furrowing minutely. “May I interest you in a dance, then?”
“Mm,” she hummed as they descended to the dance floor. She thought about her dance with Helaena and Aemond on the night of her betrothal dinner– it all felt so far away now. She tilted her head slightly as they danced. Jace’s head was looking to the door, as if he was waiting for someone. “As annoying as he is– I miss him as well.”
Jace looked slightly bewildered. “Pardon?”
“I may only be able to see from one eye, but I’m not completely blind,” Shera murmured. “You’ll see him again.”
The prince softened slightly, nodding his head. He was grateful for the words.
They danced a bit more and mingled, more so Jacaerys talking to people and stringing Shera along. Somehow, through it all, she became separated from him, walking on her own through the throngs of people. The heat, even with her less thick layers than usual, was stifling– from all of the bodies.
She suddenly felt… panicked, like when she was lost in the tunnels that one evening. “Excuse me,” she whispered hurriedly as she pushed through people, who didn’t even seem to see her there. “Pardon m–”
Her voice was cut off by a strong arm pulling her around her waist. Her anxiety damped right away as the familiar smell of sandalwood and leather took over her senses. Aemond looked down at her. “Lost again?” he was wearing a black and deep purple button-up doublet, with a long overcoat. It had a flared collar. He looked nice– it wasn’t much different color wise to his usual garb, but it absolutely wasn’t something he would spar in. He was even without his sword– but a brush of Shera’s hand near his waist revealed he did have his dagger strapped to his belt.
“... mayhaps.”
“And where is your guide? It is unlike your dog to abandon his post.”
“He wasn’t invited to the gala,” Shera frowned.
“And you’ve… been left alone?”
“Jacaerys was–”
Aemond held up his hand. “You don’t need to tell me any more,” he rolled his one eye. “He wouldn’t be able to keep track of you if you were the size of a dragon.”
They fell into an easy sway– he was much more relaxed than he was when they first danced. But Shera couldn’t shake what her brother had said– they… Rhaenyra and her brood, which included Shera now, would be leaving a few days after the gala. She hadn’t told Aemond, she didn’t know how.
“You’re worried,” he tilted her chin up to him so their gazes could meet. “I can feel your unease from here.”
“... I…” her mouth felt dry, her hand clutching his inner elbow shakily. “We’re leaving.”
Aemond stayed silent.
“Jacaerys and I… are to be wed upon Dragonstone– and we are to leave… in a few days.”
Aemond still declined to speak.
“Aemond,” she pressed her thumb into his skin.
“You can’t leave again,” he stated. He did not ask, nor plead. He stated it, as if it was a definitive fact. “I won’t let you.” the same moment of rage she had seen before was there, bubbling under the surface. A vein in his neck bulged out and she could feel the control he was trying to keep over himself, over the situation. He gripped her face with both hands now, boring into her with a surprising and sudden placid smile.
With a hand over her swollen belly, Rhaenyra scanned the crowd. It’d been so long since she properly enjoyed an event. The planning of it with Alicent had been… more fun than she thought it’d be, and the two women quickly fell back into a rapport, akin to when they were girls together.
It felt right.
Her eyes eventually fell upon two familiar faces— Shera, her veil pulled back slightly by Rhaenyra’s half-brother, Aemond. His hand gripped her face softly, but with intensity as the two locked gazes, lips pursed, brows furrowed, clearly in a heated conversation. It took Rhaenyra all but five seconds to be teleported back to her own wedding to Laenor, all those years ago, where she and Daemon had been in the exact same position— where she had dared Daemon to cleave through her father’s men, steal her away to Dragonstone and make her his wife.
Fuck.
“They think you are tame and controlled— but I can see it, the blood welling and boiling just under the surface of your skin. You’re hardly holding it together,” she whispered harshly. “Do you not think I’ve tried to devise everything I could… to stay? To stop any of this?”
“Quell me, then. Let me take you to marriage and let me cut your lip, taste your blood in the ways of old. Dampen my molten blood. I’ll do it in an instant, under the heart tree, in the molten halls of the Dragonmont– anywhere,” his nail pressed into her cheek, angling her head upward to look directly at him. No escape from madness, look me in the eye, he seemed to taunt silently.
Tumblr media
It was overwhelming. She was overwhelmed with the warmth in her stomach, the butterflies she felt– they bursted into ash, searing into her like a brand. Shera felt the world around her chill, her extremities cold. “A-Aemond,” she croaked, her hand grasping at his shoulder with all of her might, but it’d only came through as a light tug. “A-Aem—“
Coldness spread through her, her vision fading to white. Then she was warm, extremely so— like she was on fire, panting and spewing hot breaths from her open maw.
Blinking her eyes— she was outside, her heavy wisps fogging the glass pane on the door. Wait. She had full vision, not just the one. It felt odd, so wrong for her to be able to see all around her like she was whole and normal.
Why was she outside? Just let me in, Godsdammit, let me in! She growled low, hands coming up to scratch at the wood and glass, nails digging into it. Her nails were longer than normal and much sharper, a deep black in color.
She wanted in, in, in, in— her hands, no— her paws and claws shredded at the door, eyes peering into the crowd. They were gathered around, shifting slightly to let her see what was going on—
They were gathered around her, eyes rolled back in her head as she laid limp in Aemond’s arms. She saw Jacaerys storming over, already hurling accusations towards Aemond.
No, no, he didn’t do this, stop! She screamed, barking and howling, her teeth biting into the wood and beginning to rip it apart, splintering and cracking the glass.
Shera watched in horror as Jacaerys unsheathed his sword. Aemond was still holding her, loathing to give her up—
Stop, stop, stopstopstop! She bursted through the weakened door, glass and all, feeling it tear at her fur and skin. Patrons gasped around her as she mulled through them towards the center, snapping and snarling.
“Moongeist, calm down!” Jacaerys said, his eyes wide in surprise as she sat between him and Aemond.
So she was Moongeist— that is why it felt so familiar. She, no, they drew their lips back in a growl, hackles raised. Back off, back off, back off! They screamed, snapping at anyone who got too close.
‘That wolf has gone mad!’
‘Is that the prince’s intended?’
‘Yes, but not the prince that’s holding her.’
‘How wanton.’
They panted heavily, still feeling a deep rage within them. Everyone was too close, too close– the sounds of the gala drowned out as they looked to the upper windows of the ballroom. A familiar sight to behold– the cream colored blur and siren’s song of a voice.
A beige and cream colored barn owl sat atop the eave of the window, staring down at them with wide eyes.
‘Now you know, dear Shera.’
Shera awoke later, still cold as ice. She was back in her own body but still felt the remnants of itching fervor from being in Moongeist– not ‘in’, it had a word. Warg. She heard children’s tales about it, how a man can enter the mind of a beast and become one with it.
She glanced around the room. Aemond was pacing– she was in… her chambers. Jaw clenched, she sat up from the settee with surprising vigor.
“Shera–” Aemond sputtered, stopping his pacing.
“Hush, come with me,” she grabbed his wrist and strung him along, feeling more lively than she had in ages. Moongeist padded alongside them, hugging to her leg just in case.
She led them down to the weirwood, not letting go of her grip on him.
“You cannot lie to me, Aemond Targaryen, not here. Do you see that?” she gestures to the face etched in the bark of the Great Oak– staring back at the two of them.
How silly they must look.
“Do… not… lie to me,” Shera pleaded. She approached him, her hand skimming the edge of his jaw. He was so warm, always so warm– he permeated through the cold she always felt. “You can lie to everyone else. Keep… those walls up and don’t let anyone in. But not… not to me. Never to me,” she was trembling with the weight of what she was asking, her fingers drumming against his skin. “Did you mean it? Did… you mean it? You want me here with you?”
He stilled her by covering her hand with his own. “I wouldn’t–,” Aemond murmured, his free hand coming up to unhook his eyepatch. Her breath hitched as he discarded it. The moonlight caught the concaves of the gem first, expanding over the flecks of blue, all shades of it.
A sapphire.
She palmed the matching stones on her mysteriously gifted choker. “You… you… your eye…” Shera stumbled slightly, her knees wobbling beneath her.
Aemond held her upright with one arm, slung around her waist. “Hm?” he asked in return, a playful lilt to his voice– something only reserved for her.
“It’s… it’s blue!” she squeaked, pulling his face closer to her, observing with the same scrutiny that she had when they were sketching together. “And… and…” she kept babbling, tugging at her gifted choker. “And this? You… you git! You… cad! Oh, you’re incorrigible.” her words were inflammatory in nature but she… was laughing– as much as she could anyways. It was a quiet giggle, like the soft trill of a small bell.
It made Aemond chuckle in return. The two of them soon devolved into a fit of joviality. “I quite like you in blue, Shera. In my color,” he leaned down to whisper in the shell of her ear. “I had to let Jacaerys know… exactly…” he punctuated each word as his hand made a home on her jaw, inching closer to her lips. “... where and to whom,” his thumb pulled down her bottom lip. “You belong.”
Every nerve in her body was on fire. She’s never felt so warm, so hot in her life. Is this what it felt like to be a Targaryen? Gods, it was fucking stifling.
“And… to be clear,” he continued. “You belong here. With me.”
Her mouth parted, she was barely breathing. She… she wanted… she wanted to kiss him. She wanted him, more than anything she’d wanted before. She was mad; this was mad. Even on shaking legs, she pushed herself on her tippy-toes, pressing their lips together.
She felt… elated. More than elated, it felt like she was flying, skimming the clouds like a dragon, wings spread… free.
Aemond melted into her right away, pulling her closer as they melded together. His tongue swiped against her lower lip as he caressed her so softly, so gently– more gentle than she could ever imagine him being.
This was the first time she ever took something– something she wanted, and she got it. It was selfish, she knew– selfish and dangerous and reckless and just… hers. This was hers. He was hers. “Mine,” she whispered as they caught their respectful breaths. “If… I’m yours, then… you are mine, right?” she clarified, a bit less confident than her previous possessive declaration. “Quite right, little wolf.” he hummed, pressing another kiss to her temple.
In a brazen show of exuberance, she captured his lips once more.
Things were forgotten. Namely, everything that wasn’t them in this moment. Their individual turmoils, their shared despair. All notions of her mysterious collapse, Aemond’s scuffle with Jacaerys, Shera’s impending marriage to the said prince, tensions rising between two sides of a family–
This was for them.
The only time that either of them had taken anything for themselves in the last ten years.

Yandere Male Monster x Gender Neutral Reader  (Second part here: Consummating Your Relationship) (CW: Kidnapping, mentions of oviposition, scorpion-man, general yandere themes) Word Count: About 700 (I had to re-upload this because it seems the tags it had previously prevented it from appearing in searches even after removing them, this is my first completed fic so I hope it is okay!)
When the formerly closed off country of Treragar finally started trade and treaties with its neighboring countries you were one of the first researchers to try and get clearance for a field study of the very mysterious desert region. You planned to document the strange and hardy flora in the area but even more exciting than that was the chance to study the animals that called such a place home. Not even the natives of Treragar braved the desert unless absolutely necessary. But you weren’t to be deterred!
During the waning hours of your first night you were going over your journal where you cataloged all the fascinating life that you had found on your expedition. Scorpions with two tails, strange rodents that were scaled almost like pangolins, a VERY aggressive type of ant that you would know to AVOID in the future, a couple beetle species, and a decent variety of flora. All in all it had been a very productive day.
Despite your excitement to continue your expedition tomorrow you were exhausted, you finished looking over all your notes and started a fire before it got dark, it got cool at night and the fire would repel any would be predators. You settled into your bedroll, putting your journal and other supplies in your pack beside you before drifting off to sleep.
You woke up in the middle of the night to a large figure looming over you, a fairly muscular 25 to 30yo man looming over you, the flickering flames revealing his pale white skin and long black hair as he looks down at you with glowing yellow eyes, that would all be creepy enough, but what had you truly terrified was the fact that he had the body of a giant black and white scorpion from the waist down! All thick chitinous exoskeleton, heavy and powerful.
You immediately sat up in your bedroll and scooted backwards as fast as you could until you hit the flat surface of the huge rock behind you. When picking a spot to set up camp it seemed like a wonderful thing to help block the wind, but now it trapped you from backing away further from a giant scorpion monster. His glowing stare was intense and you were sure you were going to wind up dead.
He came up to you and scooped you up in his surprisingly strong human arms as if you weighed nothing. It held you close to its unnaturally warm body while you screamed for him to unhand you. You started crying, and thrashing for dear life, you were close enough to feel his breath on your neck and his musky scent was smothering, who would not absolutely panic in your situation?
Talin did not understand your language, but your warm alluring fire beacon, your lack of proper shelter, the smell of the food you had, and your wonderful natural scent all told him all he needed to know, you were obviously trying to attract a strong mate to give you a proper home! He was so thrilled he found you, he was obviously just what you were looking for and you would make such a lovely little incubator to slide his eggs into~ He cooed and nuzzled his head against yours as you squirmed to get free.
“This play fighting and thrashing is cute darling and certainly proves you are an energetic and proper mate but we have to get back to our den before the sun rises, please calm down~” You cannot understand anything he is saying and his language sounds naturally aggressive and scary so you continue to struggle and kick.
He would never dream of hurting you, he knows you are just so thrilled to be his that you can’t help squirming and thrashing with excitement, that’s okay he’ll calm you down and take care of everything! He slid his stinger into your shoulder and quickly delivered a small dose of paralytic venom into you, you felt a light pinch and then quickly faded into unconsciousness in his loving embrace. He took you and your possessions off to his den. Whether you wanted it or not you’re his mate now... and he will never let you go...

Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me (platonic)
Prologue,
Tagged: @the-dumber-scaramouche (asked to be tagged and I shall do so for the next parts)
Gonna do a chapter for each round of Ragnarok
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Within an arena that touches the clouds
Ancient stone’s that laid untouched for centuries and stood strong against the tests of time
Lays the new battleground that shall determine humanity’s fate
And in it is also you
There’s still at least a month of preparation and training before the events actually start but despite that it’s filled with hustle and bustle
Gods and humans fill the halls
Some of who you even recognize and give you happy waves and pull you aside for saying hi
It’s surprisingly nice despite the circumstances
It’s been so long that people of all kind had been gathered to such an occasion
But as minutes ticked on
And you got some of your favourite snacks due to the large concession stands with various amounts of food from various places
You end up heading deeper into the building
It thins out and you end up at the area for the human fighters
And then you open up the door to the lounge area where you see the faces of several people you recognize
And a few you hadn’t had the pleasure of yet meeting until this point
“Hello everyone, some of you may recognize me and some I haven’t yet met. I’ve gone by many names but just call me y/n”
Of the few you didn’t initially recognize in the man with shirt golden hair
Oh and no clothes with only a leaf covering his di-
Unlike the others you weren’t really shaken by his lack of clothes
During your long life you’d seen much of the human body
Your desensitized to it so you go up and give the man a hardy handshake and he does so back
Turns out he’s Adam
The first human
Father to the entirety of the human race as you knew it
Adam in all ways encompasses what you believe are humanity’s strong suits
He is kind and compassionate
Along with determined to protect not only his people but also his family
Your upfront with not being a human and being created by a god but Adam doesn’t see you any differently
Your like him and Eve
Created by the gods themselves
The only difference is that your creator cared
You didn’t notice it at first but he slowly finds himself caring for you as if you were is own child
A sentiment that had surprisingly has only happened till now
Despite your thousands of years of living this is the first time you’ve been adopted
Like there was one time you were training with Lü Bu and got injured
You were in the process of healing it before he stopped the fight and pulled you aside to check if you were ok
He seemingly forgot you can’t really die and had panicked thinking the wound would kill you
Even started getting out the gauze and glaring at the laughing general before you explained you were alright
He isn’t embarrassed though
Even keeps wrapping the wound just in case
It feels nice to be cared for in such a way
You love your father Hephaestus very much but it’s also nice having another father figure in your life
Both treat you in a caring and gentle way
As if you were glass or some ancient artifact
(Technically you were one and so was he)
Adam also introduces you to his Wife and Sons who welcome you to their small but loving family
Eve is affectionate and loving
Always showering you with praise as you show off your abilities or knowledge
She makes sure your well fed despite not needing food
And she can’t help but pinch your cheeks
As the only mother figure in your long life she takes it in pride
Oftentimes dragging you away from training to smother you in care and compliment about how your such a brave soul
Despite replying you don’t have one she disagrees
Saying that in her mind you don’t need one to have one (if that makes any sense)
You’d rather not admit it but you melt at her affection
She’s in every sense of the word warm
It reminds you of those cold winters night where you’d end up by the fire
Or a nice summer’s breeze
Adam seems to find the sight funny since your a immortal being
One who’s walked the earth for more years than people can imagine and yet his wife was reduce you to figurative mush when she pays your head and calls you a nickname
Someone that has seen both the good and bad of humanity time and time again
That is now helping her bake a pie as his sons argue about what was a better nickname for you
It’s odd to people looking in but makes sense to everyone in this small bubble
Cain and Abel are rambunctious but loveable brothers
They like to cheer you on and playfully fight with you
One or the other usually has an arm wrapped around your shoulder as they laugh at some joke the other made
The two have a lot of petty squabbles that you now end up being in the middle of
It’s fun
Especially since most conflict in your time has always resulted in heavy bloodshed
Whilst theirs is light hearted and leads to one proclaiming victory as the other sulks in the corner
Both love hearing your stories
Even more so about how the world has evolved so drastically
It’s fascinating to them both especially as so many places developed their own cultures that are so different from the others
As the arena begins to fill and time ticks down for the event to start the three of you end up buying shit tons of food
All of which are from different times periods and places for them to try
It ends up becoming a fun game for them as they guess the Irgun of which country the snack came from
Which leads to you then explaining its history
Neither would admit it but both had glared at quite a few people when they stared at you with a certain gaze
It happens enough times that both kinda now go on figurative guard duty when walking about with you
Admittedly they know you can definitely handle yourself
But your now their big sibling
And that means no creep is gonna be messing with you
Especially since you seem to attract quite a few weirdo’s due to your ageless beauty that leaves you stuck looking at least 25
You definitely pull the “older sibling card” a lot on their asses
Which makes both their father and mother laugh
They are the complete family you never had
Full of warmth and laughter as Adam looks on with a proud smile
Though Adam hates the gods he finds Hephaestus to be an exception once he does meet the man
For your father is cordial and kind to both him, his family, you and the other fighters
As you, Cain, Abel and Eve cook dinner he pulls the god aside
And both talk as they look upon the sight of Abel and Cain having a playful battle as you laugh with Eve
It makes the god tear up a bit
Happy that the man had given you what he couldn’t provide you with
Adam in return thanks Hephaestus for creating such a wonderful person and caring for humanity
And Hephaestus thanks Adam for giving you the full family he couldn’t provide
It’s something odd to say the least especially as Adam can’t help but give him a handshake and invite him to stay for dinner
Your father agrees, sitting down beside you at the dinner table as Eve pulls out his seat for him with a kind smile
Cain and Abel immediately begin asking the forging god questions making him laugh at their enthusiasm
They make him feel welcome
At home
Who knew that away from his lonesome forge would he find a place that accepted him
Humanity’s first humans to be even more ironic
Adam offers the god an apple which appears from the sky and he accepts it
Soon laughing as he bites into its flesh saying that it’s a bit bitter for his taste
Lü Bu had been a figure you had heard about but had actually never had the chance to meet
So it’s safe to say your rather excited
And he doesn’t let you down in any shape, way or form
He’s battle hungry just like a certain Norse deity who you luckily hadn’t run into yet
He makes for a good training partner
Especially since he pushes you to your limits and has you focus on your main strength without relying on your powers
It often leads to many cuts and bruises but a sense of accomplishment filling you
Something that hadn’t happened in a long time
And you suspect it hadn’t happened to him either from the barbaric smirk that stretches across his face
100% the dude who breaks down your door at 3 am to ask you about stuff you’ve seen or experienced
You don’t really sleep so you don’t mind but you are concerned for poor Cheng who was dragged along half asleep
He finds your stories of war fascinating especially at the mention of things like guns and cannons
You feel as if compared to the rest he doesn’t care about how things had advanced
If it isn’t weapon related
It’s odd to you that he’s purely driven by battle
But you aren’t the one to judge so you stick to what he likes
Some part of you keeps your friendship with him at a relative distance
Partially due to your experience with befriending men like him
Those who are hungry like him are always unsatisfied
It leads them to more and more bloodshed
And though your are no innocent person you don’t like battle that includes bystanders
His army on the other hand are some that you befriend
Cheng especially since despite being a solider he is a man of good heart and honour
How the young man found himself in Lü Bu’s army
Unlike his superior he finds your stories of the future fascinating
Especially as the world leads to more peaceful times
You drink with him and the other soldiers and sing songs with them that had long been forgotten
Kojiro is actually someone you’d only met once but it’s certainly a sight to see him again
Despite how everyone else appears as younger versions of themselves he’s old and grey
A sight of which makes you giggle a bit as you greet him once again
Despite meeting him once you both greet each other like old friends
Which others look your ways confused especially as you both explain that he asked for a battle and you royally kicked him ass
You both can remember it like yesterday
A lone mountainside road on a mid autumn’s day
A breeze making the veil trailing you flutter in the wind as you ready a weapon against him who smiles
Knowing he’ll lose but elated anyways
And when he fell against the ground with a few seconds of challenging you he laughs with that of pure joy
You both went your separate ways afterwards and now reunited
Like that day oh so long ago the two of you train often
Helping him brush up on his skills and get better as he sees how much you’d experienced since then
All these battle leave you and him winded but smiling
Laughter filling the training ground as the two of you sit down and have some tea
Adam patching up the old swordsman as you share stories to distract him
Fresh brewed tea being sipped as techniques of how he could improve are shared
Most would find this somewhat demeaning but he just smiles
Saying how he’ll take it to mind next time or chuckling as he says “I knew I should’ve used a better stance”
He ends up hanging around the other Japanese contestants quite a bit
Partially due to the shared culture but also since he can better recognize their fighting
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t mingle outside them
Qin shi Huang is someone he ends up befriending along with Adam and Simo
He enjoys modern day snacks and foods but holds a soft spot for spicy foods
Which leads to you and him having competitions as Eve makes some extra spicy foods for the two of you to gobble down
He won’t admit it but he finds it nice that you remembered him of all people
You’d met so many amazing and interesting people in your life yet you greet him like a friend despite meeting once
Despite him being the best known loser in history (a title in which you argue with him over)
Out of most of them your actually quite happy to introduce him to you father who he regards with respect
The grey haired man greeting the ash tinged and ember trailing man who created you
Both eat sweets with bean paste and talk as you leave them to their own
Much like mythology and history both are looked down upon and both have taken different ways to deal with it
You now find the older appearing man conversing with your father or getting him some food he’d thought he’d like
It’s sweet
The moment you introduced yourself to the newcomers and walked through that door Qin shi Huang is basically throwing himself at you
Your welcome your old friend with open arms
Letting him swing you around in joy as the former emperor and you laugh in joy
His eyes traveling down to the bracelet still tethered to your wrist, as beautiful as the day he gifted it
Throughout the entire tournament and it’s wait time your old friend sticks with you
Much like his time alive he is boisterous and prideful but his company was one that you had missed for many millennia
Through you he learns of what happened to his empire
How it continued on into a nation that still lasts even today as other crumbled
How his army of terracotta soldiers still stand to guard him in death and the wall despite its age has yet to fall
Now a wonder and landmark that many travel just to see and walk along its path
He learns of its misdoings as well but he knows many were made by his influence
By his decisions of bloodshed that still seems to stain the remnants of his aged empire
The emperor also learns of your travels since his death
How you sailed the 7 seas and ran your own ship, climbed the highest mountain in the world and stood at its top, swam to the deepest depths of the ocean where light had never touched its sandy floor and ventured through the harsh jungle terrain into unknown territory
It’s honestly Aw inspiring to him how much you’d done
Sure you had done these feats over a thousand or so years giver or take (along with nothing being able to kill you)
But it’s still amazing to him how much you’d seen
How much you could do within the span of eternity
But with that comes the realization that eventually you’d run out of things to do
But he brushes the though aside as the two of you engage in a feast with him and the other emperors that came after him
You sit the closest at his side and the others stretched along a long table filled with foods ranging from his time to later on
Sometimes for fun the two of you wear your clothes from when he was still alive
You wear your old robes as does he
And the the two of you prance around the coliseum as he points at something and has you “explain!”
The two of you always end up laughing until crying by the end of the day
He’s basically attached at your hip but you don’t mind at all
You’ve missed him for so long
Dinners with Adam’s family end up frequently with Qin joining as well
He ends up getting along well with Cain and Abel
The three of them joking as Eve and Adam place down a fresh meal
His whole “I’m emperor” thing can sometimes get on people’s nerves so you sometimes have to end up being a middle man
He does it partially to piss people off and cause he thinks it’s fun
It kinda is
Until he wants to pull that shit on the gods and you have to drag his ass away from their area of the arena
His is basically jumping for joy when Chun Yun gets to finally meet you
For a long time you’d only ever hear stories of the fiery woman so meeting her is actually really intriguing
Especially since she jokes that you must’ve had your hands full with dealing with him for years
That in turn makes him whine as she gives you a handshake that return wholeheartedly
She’s his only other impulse control other than you and by god does he need it
Unlike you though she’ll chew him out for doing something stupid, you call it a mom thing
When you talk with her in private she tells about how she raised him
And how she’s glad he met someone like you who became a true friend to him
Something he always needed
In return you thank her for making sure he made to actually survive
your father definitely meets the two of them at some point with how close they are to you
He’s pleasantly surprised with how the two greet him with normality
There’s respect but no formality that he got from Kojiro that would eventually fade as the two got closer
It’s just off the start they treat him as if he were a normal person
He appreciates it along with the fact they don’t stare at his deformities
Nor do they think of him lesser because of them
In fact it seems they think of him higher because of them which initially confuses him
So when he asks about it both the emperor and his past body guard explain where Qin grew up
How on the streets of a place now long changed many people were born had later gained disabilities and survived anyways through their strength and determination
Qin always respected them despite the fact they still hated him
Perhaps because just like him they persevered despite how others wanted to push them down
In many ways the two bond over the fact they were (and in some ways still are) considered useless
How they were repeatedly kicked down over and over yet got us just to spite them all
Hephaestus finds Qin to be fucking hilarious and the two find themselves cackling over stupid shit your father would make
Chun Yan also gets close to your dad as does her child whom spends his time playing with the toys your father makes for the young lad
It’s fun especially for Hephaestus as he makes small little wind up gadgets and toys
Qin now gives your dad ideas that somehow turn out really well which is funny to see
Especially as his ideas are “you know what would be cool?, a giant flying lamp for moths to follow” and Hephaestus is like “bet”
When seeing Jack again the English gentleman offers you a polite wave as Qin excitedly hugs you
It’s later on that he comes to you and the two of you share a nice time alone
Unlike the others Jack is nocturnal partially due to his uh…hobby so he spends the midnight and early hours with you
It’s was during those times you’d always felt lonely so you enjoy the company
He makes some tea and you both end up talking for hours
Topics ranging from the competition to what you did after he died
What you’ve seen
Who’ve you met
It’s all good fun especially as you explain your “wild days” in the 70’s or 80’s when you’d met and toured with some popular bands and singers
Sometime he talks of what his afterlife was like
It intrigues you a log since you can’t exactly experience death
The one place you’d never get to explore
A place where everything was eventually supposed to end up at yet you were the exception
Even gods could die yet you couldn’t
You remain like a stubborn sore
Out of the human fighters your kinda the only person who talks to him
Everyone else kinda gets creepy vibes from him
And it only gets worse when they find out he’s a killer
He also plays into that imagine as well so…yeah your the only person not fucking terrified of him
He doesn’t mind though
Quality over quantity as they say
May or may not watch Shakespeare movies with you
He hates the 90’s Romeo and Juliet film with decaprio
Doesn’t make it better when you mention the fact the actor dates girls who could potentially be their father age wise
It reminds him too much of the grimy old men who would prey on young and impressionable girls
Something you have to sadly explain still happens much to his displeasure
One thing he does enjoy though is how accessible stuff like imported foods and goods are
He now has the chance to try the various tea’s and treats from other countries that used to be fairly expensive
What makes it even more fun is that you usually have some fun story to go along with said treat
Probably ends up enjoying stuff like phantom of the opera and silence of the lambs
But to be honest he has a soft spot for stuff like low budget horror films
Just the low quality gore and bad acting makes him chuckle
Especially as you tell him the “rules” of a horror film
The two of you now make a small tradition as the days tick down for the tournament to start by watching a film a night
Your father finds Jack to be an odd fellow but one who engages in interesting conversation
Someone who was also looked down on in life
Hephaestus knows he isn’t the best person
He’s made mistakes
Been complicit in his brethren’s bloodshed of the humans he had come to love
So in some sense finding someone who is also not a good person but in some sense tries to do some good is therapeutic to him
That he is equally flawed inwardly just as humans are
Cause unlike other gods he had come to realize how both are more alike than they are different
“Gods?, I don’t exactly like many of them. But perhaps meeting them in person could shape my view”
Loki is one god whom seems to find you by complete accident yet seems to find amusement in trying to fool you
It doesn’t work
And that leads to him trying harder and thus not leaving you alone
You swear that he sticks to you like fucking super glue
Doesn’t help that he keeps nagging about how the gods are better
Your a feeble human
Blah blah blah
Your soooo ready to defeat a gif in battle just to see his expression
And how he had be intentionally annoying someone who could easily deck him across the world with a simple slap
Though despite that he is somewhat fun company
Despite how annoying he can be he also gives you ample opportunity to see the view of the other side
And it leads to discussion between the two of you as you move a chess piece across a board
Your knight taking one of his pawns as he makes an annoyed scowl
He makes a comment about having the power to take you out with a snap of his fingers
But you remind him that he won’t
And that makes him grumble as he makes his next move
It’s odd…but you come to enjoy his company just as you do with others
Perhaps at some point he began enjoying yours since he invites (more like drags) you to the god portion of the arena
Into his current room as he bitches about Odin and nephew Thor
The mention of which makes you hold down an amused chuckle
His room has a lot of snake imagery
Along with snacks as he sits down on a chair and rips open a bag of chips
Continuing on his argument about how Thor is such a sour puss and that if he has to deal with odins ravens again he’s gonna-
He pauses when he hears you laugh
for once he goes silent
You ask what’s wrong and he replies that he’d never heard you laugh before
Let alone seem amused by him
You simply reply that you wouldn’t hang out with him if you didn’t enjoy his presence
No matter how annoying he could be when breaking down your door at random times
You think that you may have fried his brain from saying you voluntarily wanted to be around him
Perhaps he feels as if people put up with him rather than enjoy his jokes and jabs
You can’t help but notice that insults towards you have steadily stopped after that
You swear Thor saw you once and then he’s on you like a bloodhound
Brunhilde had to help you after you were hiding from the red head via hanging onto a chandelier hoping he wouldn’t look up
And now that he knows your seemingly “revived” for the competition he’s hunting you down
He wants to fight you again
To feel that rush of finally having a good battle
He now looks for you in the crowds of humans and gods
Looking anywhere for your signature hat and trailing veil
Not knowing your hanging out with Loki who has a room beside him
He swears to his father that he’s gonna get that fucking battle with you
His fathers crows tease him about this
How set he is in fighting some random human he met centuries ago
But he doesn’t let up
You spend a majority of the waiting time for the tournament sneakily slinking through the halls of the colosseum
Trying to get to the human only training area where he would not be permitted into
You don’t think that would really stop him but you know for a fact Brunhilde would be pissed if he did so
Is gonna be reallly mad to find out that he ain’t the one fighting you
The time for battle now approaches and the first fight is soon to begin
Near Brunhilde and Göll you sit in their shadow covered private area for watching
Looking out onto the crowds of people who cheer

Some various lighthearted life updates 🏃‍♀️
It's been a very busy last few months! in a good way mostly. We had a friend visiting us from overseas so we showed him around the city and took him to all our favourite places. We also met new people and were invited to a bunch of events so it's been very fun! We are all out of social battery tho so now we are slowing down a bit and getting back to work. Nicolas is on a short work trip to Berlin and I'm back to painting. We also started running! aaand we are also back to watching a bunch of shows and to me talking about it here to like five people 😌
Under the cut cause it's a lot as usual!
We finished watching S13 of Doctor Who! (we still have the specials to go but after that we are all caught up!) I haven't updated in ages so here are lot of opinions!
We really did not enjoy S11 😞 I was aware it wasn't very popular but we were hoping it was for all the wrong reasons, sadly we found many to be valid. Some of the episodes were baffling, Rosa? Kerblam?! the writing of the whole season in general felt like a rushed school assignment. The first part of Spyfall was a strong start for the next season but that ending in the second part was really not it. We did love Sacha Dhawan's Master tho!! and we really love Jodie too, 13th is adorable and reminded us of Ten at times! Jodie is such a fantastic actress that it makes the quality of the writing and everything else around her even more frustrating 😫 S12 was an improvement in general. In the last few episodes It felt like the writing team suddenly remembered the companions could have a personality and agency lmao. Highlights for us were Spyfall one, Fugitive of the Judoon and Haunting of villa Diodati, tho we did also enjoy most other episodes of the season despite their issues.
The timeless child plot reveal felt a bit underwhelming? The idea on itself has potential but it felt mishandled (and it had a bit of a Moffat flavour to it? and not in a good way). I think it was meant to add more depth to the Doctor's lore but in a way it ends up having the opposite effect. Then the flux was just a complete mess. It read like a Marvel sort of plot, very comic book like which is alright I suppose if that is something you enjoy but it felt out of place. But mostly it was just way too much, it got out of hand. Anyway we still have the specials to watch! and I think the Master is in them so we are looking forward to it 🥰
We also watched Broadchurch!! and we LOVED it. We ended up binging all three seasons. Chibnall's writing on this is surprisingly great and Jodie's acting is spectacular she really shines here. Olivia and David are always brilliant!! honestly everyone's acting was amazing. This series had us both tearing up every five scenes. The direction and the music are outstanding. I could watch Hardy and Miller solve crimes forever I really love their chemistry and dynamic. We went into it expecting the usual detective fiction but it ended up being a whole study on grief with such a focus on family and community and trauma and a ton of touching interconnected character arcs, just really really good!!
Then we also watched Taking over the Asylum!! MAN we were not expecting to have our hearts wrung out like laundry by this!! We thought it was a lighthearted show!! GOD we are still not over it, what the fuck!! It was so good we loved it!! but we were not prepared lmao what do you mean 'the end'?? we'll be thinking of this for months, I was expecting an extra scene after the credits or something. Excellent characters, refreshing depictions of mental illness and trauma and so crushingly realistic. Every character is so loveable I really wish this was longer 😭
And our quest to watch everything with David Tennant on it continues. We watched Decoy Bride on Valentines day too and it was terrible but such a hilarious fever dream kind of bad that it was fun, it has David on it and he never disappoints. I feel so lucky that Nicolas and I are both in love with him, get yourself a man who shares your celebrity crushes lmao it's so fun!! We feel like teens again chatting about him and drawing little hearts next to his pictures haha 🥰 We watched the BAFTAs just for him and speaking of the baftas!! I was not expecting that last drawing of his outfits to get that much attention oh my god 😭 thank you!! you are all insane and I appreciate it so much!! and thank you for all the support in general, about my art and photos and just everything. I feel very lucky and grateful 😭 anyway I'll end this before I get sappy, that is all for now! I hope this week is kind to you all, I'll be sharing some more art soon 😊

Total Drama Psycho Noah AU, during the TDWT London Episode... What if Noah doesn't call the hidden Alejandro an eel, instead Alejandro and the other hidden Contestants saw Noah briefly showed his true insane colors to defeat the 'Ripper', with a big psychotic grin?... How would Alejandro feel about trying to bring up Noah's insane side, but Noah keeps denying it (and so does Owen, because Noah asked him to)? 😏
Psycho!Noah, under the assumption that he's alone with only Owen and the camera as his witnesses, going Full On Mania Mode on the Ripper? That's a fun thought.
I think, given the fact that he's on a Reality TV Show in the first place, this Noah would be upfront to the audience that he's... a little unhinged. Maybe he cracks a few jokes in the confessional (either during Island or World Tour) about his eccentricities, or maybe he really plays up the 'crazy' to paint himself as a wolf in sheep's clothing for the audience?
The second option there would probably work more in his favour, since him Just Being There would be a source of dramatic irony for the audience- something to keep people watching in anticipation, waiting for Noah's mask of mundanity to slip. He'd be 'good for ratings'.
I've decided that's the characterisation I'll go with. Psycho!Noah hides his true self from the contestants but, knowing that he'll be recorded 24/7, doesn't bother disguising himself for the audience- his nature will inevitably be exposed to them anyway, so why not cut out the middle man? At least this way, he gets the added pleasure of toying with the viewer's expectations.
-
So, given the fact that the only people he thinks are seeing him are people already in the know, what's stopping Noah from letting loose a little?
Nothing. Nothing's stopping him.
He and Owen step onto the double decker bus, the larger teen tiptoeing almost timidly onto the vehicle in his trepidation, whilst Noah follows casually behind him. He's a little disappointed, truly; horror themed challenges would be so much more interesting if they were, y'know, scary.
Luckily for him, things soon get interesting.
The shadowed figure of the Ripper drops from the ceiling with a thud behind Noah, assumedly crouched down on all fours like some sort of beast though it's hard to tell behind the inky, billowing cloak they're wearing. The motion would've been too fast for someone less capable to properly react to. Thankfully, Noah is very capable.
He pivots in place, catching the surprisingly fast arms of the Ripper before their taller frame can grapple him in his own deceptively strong grip, then forcibly bends the figure's arms until a sickening crack resounds through the bus's interior. The Ripper cries out a raspy animalistic shriek of pain, their forearms hanging uselessly limp out in front of them at awkward angles, and the clattering of something hitting the floor draws Noah's attention downwards. A knife, the Ripper's weapon of choice, gleams threateningly on the ground under the weak moonlight, having slipped from their incapacitated hand.
Well. That's certainly interesting.
Easing up his iron grip on the figure's disfigured arms, the cynic gingerly bends down to swipe the knife from the floor, then straightens back up triumphantly as he brandishes his new found weapon.
"Noah?" Owen's meek voice echoes from behind him. The bookworm tilts his head towards the other, who's fear-blown gaze is fixated on the sharp object in his unstable friend's unpredictable clutches.
The Ripper, momentarily subdued, continues to whine and groan in pain beside him.
"What's up, bud?" He responds, voice conversationally light and airy- a stark contrast to the Ripper's agonised gargles.
"Is- is that a knife?" The larger asks in a wavering tone. Noah isn't sure if it's the fear of himself with a sharp object, or the frankly pathetic display from the figure beside him, that's causing his best friend's hesitance. But he knows Owen- the big lug is a hardy sort, he won't stay scared for long.
"Hmm," Noah hums playfully, toying with the weapon in his grip. Feeble beams of moonlight shine and shimmer from it's blade, illuminating their surroundings in spectres of milk light, "Yeah, I think it is. Good eye, big guy."
A moment of tense silence passes between the two (somewhat ruined by the Ripper's incessant snivelling), before Owen's face splits into a shaky smile.
"Do you want to, uh, maybe, put the knife down?" He suggests.
Noah shifts his focus back onto the tool in his grip, theatrically ruminating over his friend's suggestion as he raises his free hand to his chin in a pondering motion, whilst his piercing gaze subtly flickers around the bus to locate the nearest hidden camera. He spins the knife in his hand thoughtlessly as he searches, deftly twirling and weaving the blade between clever fingers, sending spirals of light dancing through the darkness of their enclosure.
Once he's spotted the tell-tale red blinking light of a recording camera, he careens his whole body to face it. His features soften into a serene smile, highlighted by trickles of pale moonlight, as he addresses the camera.
"No. Not really. It's quite pretty. Don't you think?"
Noah waits a heartbeat, keenly listening for a response that'll never come from the recording device, before his smile splits into something wider. Something that splinters around the edges of his face and crumbles through his mask of tranquillity, revealing glimpses of wild delirium through its cracks. Similarly, his amusement-crinkled eyes widen with mania, irises contracting into pinpricks of molasses against the white of his sclera.
"And wouldn't it look a lot prettier... in a different colour?" The pessimist halts the spinning of the knife with a flick of his wrist, letting the question simmer in the stale air of the bus.
The Ripper, having finally regained their bearings, stumbles to flee from the bus.
Well. That's not very interesting, is it?
In the blink of an eye, Noah is suddenly nose-to-mask with them, holding the blade millimetres from the figure's neck almost tauntingly as he traps them against the fogged over glass of the bus driver's window, "Red would look really pretty."
"Noah," Owen whines petulantly, "we're supposed to capture the Ripper, not kill him!" As if to punctuate his point, the blonde tugs at the edges of the burlap sack he's carrying, shooting an imploring look towards his little buddy.
"Oh, I forgot. Silly me!" Noah exclaims jovially, smacking at his sizable forehead with his free hand. The Ripper beneath him whimpers at the motion.

In the First Class cabin, the majority of the Total Drama contestants stand gobsmacked at the display they just witnessed. Varying expressions of disturbance and fright are dotted across the crowd, and the more sensitive of the group have turned varying shades of nauseated green or horrified white.
"What the fuck?"

Shameful Flirting
Alec Hardy x Gender Neutral Reader
Tumblr media
"You know, love, solving crimes isn't the only skill I possess," Alec Hardy said with a smirk, his Scottish accent adding a charming lilt to the words.
You raised an eyebrow, looking up at your tall and stoic husband. "And what other extraordinary talents might you have, Detective Inspector?" you replied, a playful glint in your eyes.
Alec leaned against the filing cabinet, attempting a casual pose that didn't quite match his typically serious demeanor. "Well, for starters, I'm exceptionally good at making tea," he declared, a hint of mischief in his gaze.
You chuckled, folding your arms. "Tea-making as a seduction technique? Bold move, Hardy."
He chuckled in response, a low and melodic sound that sent a pleasant shiver down your spine. "Flirting isn't my strongest suit, I'll give you that. But I'm willing to learn."
"The way you flirt is shameful," you teased, shaking your head in mock disappointment.
Alec straightened up, a determined look on his face. "Shameful, you say? I can do better than that."
As he took a step closer, you couldn't help but notice the height difference between you two. Alec towered over you, and you felt a sense of warmth as he placed a gentle hand on your waist.
"Perhaps actions speak louder than words," he suggested, his eyes locking onto yours.
With a smirk, he leaned in, capturing your lips in a surprisingly soft and sweet kiss. His hands found their way to your waist, pulling you closer. It was a brief but tender moment that left you slightly breathless.
"Well, Detective Inspector, I must admit that action was more convincing than any words you could muster," you admitted, a playful glimmer in your eyes.
Alec grinned, a rare sight that made your heart skip a beat. "I told you I could improve."
As you both resumed your work in the bustling police station, Alec couldn't resist stealing glances in your direction. The subtle smiles and shared glances spoke volumes, a silent language only the two of you understood.
Later that evening, as you sat together on the couch, Alec placed his arm around you. "So, how was my flirting this time?" he asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
You leaned into him, placing a light kiss on his cheek. "Not shameful at all, Alec. In fact, I'd say you're getting quite good at it."
He smiled, a genuine and content expression that made your heart swell. "I suppose practice does make perfect."
And in that moment, with the warmth of Alec's embrace, you realized that maybe flirting wasn't about grand gestures or smooth words. It was about the genuine connection and the shared moments that made your relationship with the Scottish detective truly special.

Tumblr media
“May the date of making fun of action movies commence,” you announced in a cheery tone. You could almost jump up and down in excitement.
“Finally something appropriate to channel those judgy instincts of yours,” he smirked, and his smile grew bigger when your jaw dropped.
“Hardy har har.”
“What, you can dish it, but can’t take it? That’s healthy,” he joked, pressing you against his chest and kissing your temple.
“Whatever.”
“Man, that popcorn looks tasty,” Hoseok said, staring at the concession counter with an almost inappropriate gaze.
“Look at you, salivating like a Pavlov contestant,” you joked, but you could still see the excitement in his eyes through his annoyed face.
“Well, that was kind of mean,” Hoseok said. “What’s up with that?”
“Nothing, I just think you look really cute when I tease you,” you tried to appease him, kissing his cheek, and he softened ever so slightly. After all, he knew what he was getting into when he decided to make a partner out of his best friend.
“Whatever. I’m going for the popcorn.” He said. “Keep the teasing to yourself, please and thank you.”
You entered the concessions stand line hand in hand, and your teasingly short attention span found something else to focus on. Standing in line in front of you, there was a balding man wearing a feather earring and a worn down leather jacket.
You turned to Hoseok with the let’s-gossip-about-this face he knew so well. He was, obviously, still dreaming about his popcorn bowl. You nudge him with your elbow and point to your subject.
“What sort of midlife crisis do you think is happening here?” you whispered, holding your laugh the best you can, but no answer from Hoseok. “Do you think he has a vintage Harley-Davidson?” you continue to try to pry on this poor man’s life, and Hoseok shushes you.
Dumbfounded, you fidgeted from side to side, and tried to find another target for your commentary, looking around at the almost dead movie theater. But a caressing hand and a restricting arm held you in place.
“Hold tight, baby. Don’t get impatient on me now,” he whispered. Hoseok pulled you tight against his side, his hand firmly holding your hips in place and kissed your cheek.
“I’m not impatient,” you mumble, crossing your arms in defeat.
“If you say so…” he appeased. His lips were caressing your forehead, and the feel of his soft lips were sending chills down your spine. The scent of his perfume was engulfing you now, and you felt your knees weakened.
You hugged him, close enough for the tip of your nose to travel through his slightly exposed clavicle. You had to, somehow, thank Biker Boy for the long order. Maybe leaving him alone would do.
Hoseok didn’t stop your tender caresses to his shoulder, so you saw it as an open invitation to kiss his neck, and then his jaw, reaching closer and closer to his lips. He stiffened.
“Behave,” Hoseok warned. Before you could entertain yourself — or tease him — any further, the line moved.
You thought you’d have the whole room to yourselves. After all, this was rated a horrible movie when it premiered almost a month ago. But there were, surprisingly, a complete total of 6 people seated.
Previews had already started, so you rushed to the seats in the back. You cozied up to Hoseok, and this time he welcomed it, throwing an arm around your shoulder.
With your head once again on his shoulder, your hand makes a way to his inner thigh, caressing him there. The theater lights were turned off, and his perfume caressed you again. You’re so close from his neck that you can feel the texture of his skin with the tip of your nose. You inhaled deeply, and can’t control the hum that escaped your throat.
Hoseok giggles, breaking your concentration. “Do you want to leave?” He asked, turning his head to look at you.
“No. Why?”
“Because you clearly don’t want to see the movie. I know I’m a handsome man that you can’t take your hand off me, but the movie date was your idea.” he joked.
“Who said we can’t combine the two of them?” you whispered in his ear, moving your hand up his thigh, surprised he seemed as interested as you. “Well, aren’t we excited?” you whispered.
You trailed small pecks around his earlobe, his jaw, going down the side of his neck. Your hands went back to his thigh, and you felt his bulge grow when you made sure to trail his sensitive spot with your tongue.
“This is getting out of control,” Hoseok started, frantic. “We’ll get caught.”
“No, we won’t. Not unless you get too in love with my tongue,” you joked, and he had to run his palm against his face.
“Isn’t it best if we just go back to watching the movie?”
“Anything you want, baby. But I do need to warn you,” you whispered seductively. “I’ll be thinking about your hard cock growing in my mouth through every second of this movie.”
Hoseok’s leg was bouncing up and down in nervousness, but he did lick his lips while looking at your hand still resting on his thigh. You were almost in. He sighed before scolding you. “You’re a sick, sick person.”
You smirked, pecking his lips. “Just relax, we’ll be fine.”
“Go quick,” he urged.
He facilitates the unzipping of his pants, moving his popcorn bowl out of the way and scooching down on his seat, using the light of the screen so you can see better. You tried your best not to moan at the sight of his cock out in the open, Hoseok was already antsy enough.
But when the warmth of your tongue pressed against his length, he sighed a little too loudly, and you had to squeeze his thigh as a reminder of your impromptu rendezvous. He shoved popcorn into his mouth to cover the moans he was doing a poor job of hiding.
He would have to try harder, though. You made the effort to coat his penis entirely, using tongue and cheeks to massage him. Hoseok was now biting his own hand, and before your gag reflex could flare up and ruin this moment, your head bobs back, leaving a trail of saliva behind. Nature’s lubricant.
You massaged him up and down with your hand, and your mouth and tongue followed suit behind. His hand rested atop your head, not guiding you, but not letting you leave either. He took the opportunity of loud explosion noises to moan.
“This is so fucking good,” he whimpered. The sounds of your muffled laugh got to him, and he hissed. You’d worry about getting blacklisted from the movie theater for life, but Hoseok got grabby with your neck, and you knew he would finish soon.
His breath caught in his throat when you cupped his testicles and caressed him with his thumb. You were definitely getting thrown out any second now, but Hoseok was showing all signs of being close.
“You cannot control yourself, can you?” you whispered, finishing the job with only your hand now.
“And whose fault is it?” He retorts, placing the popcorn bowl in front of him, shielding the view of a couple of people who were turning around.
But that didn’t deter you. Your hand massaged him swiftly, using the pressure you knew he liked.
“I’m close,” he whispered, closing his eyes tightly. Your finger caressed his tip, and inhaling sharply, he came. On the popcorn bowl. You snickered, but before you could comment. You clocked the custodian far away. Hoseok ran his hand across his face, and you tried to unzip his pants back up as quickly and as smoothly as possible. Hoseok was finally calm enough to see the man walking towards the both of you, and threw his arm around your shoulder again.
“Hello sir, misses. We had complaints about disturbance coming from this area…”
“Oh, my. Really?” Hoseok said as he played innocent. “We didn’t hear anything, sir. I’m sorry that we can’t help you.” He continued, but you could see the custodian didn’t buy that entirely.
“That’s alright, enjoy the movie.” He excused himself, and you kept one eye on the movie and another on the custodian, noticing when he planted himself in front of the emergency exit with the broad view of your seats.
Hoseok finally relaxed and took notice of his popcorn.
“Well, these are ruined now.”
“And whose fault is it?” you mocked.
“Yours,” he responded, quite annoyed, but pecked your lips.
“I dare you to take a bite of your popcorn with exotic seasoning,” you laughed, and Hoseok rolled his eyes.
“Stop it, or I’ll make you eat it,” he grumbled.
“I should’ve just let you cum in my mouth. Now you’ll be testy for the rest of the day.”
“Maybe next time,” he joked. “We’ll pick a horror movie, so people won’t be so shocked if I scream.”

storyboard sketch for a clone x rain god idea. He's sad because his garden is dying through a summer drought, but he keeps planting anyway, desperately trying to make something grow. Then he's blessed with a summer storm just for him, everything the rain touches opening into a vibrant bloom. He lays in a meadow now full of wildflowers, listening to the thunder and watching lightning crackle across the sky above him.
The flowers are Queen Anne's Lace, symbolizing safety, sanctuary, and refuge. They are a soft, delicate flower, but surprisingly hardy. The seeds are bristly and cling easily to soft surfaces.
