character ask game - what about pick and rome??
💙 Pick 🤍 Rome 💜
They get to share bc they're married and inseparable 🥰🥰
Free Space: i think Pick's is one of the best most realistic bi realisation journeys ive ever seen in a bl. You can really see how hard he struggles to come to grips with his sexuality and how his internalised homophobia seems to stem from a lack of true understanding of queerness. He's not averse to it he's just scared of what it means for him. It shakes his sense of self down to it's core and makes him question who he is and so it's only natural that his first instinct is to rebel because who is okay with having to relearn their entire identity at age 22? I also love that despite all of this he's so clearly smitten for Rome, we can see some of this from his super awkward interactions with Rome in s1 and a lot more in s2 when he's basically acting like a dutiful, albeit possessive, bf by driving Rome around everyday, taking him out to eat, paying for his meals, etc. He's a lot more attentive than he seems and though he tries to deny it he's practically living in a Rome Bubble for most of s2. We almost only ever see him with Rome or talking to Rome or talking about Rome it's honestly funny how clingy he is even before they officially get together. And then we have Our Skyy Pick who basically lives in husband mode! I loooove how PickRome are the picture of domesticity in our skyy but it's not overly idealised, like they don't pretend to have a perfect relationship but the fact that they can not only wake up happy after a big fight the night before but also take time to talk their issues out and fix whatever conflict arises like!?!? They're the Superior BL Couple and I will NEVER stop saying it!!! PickRome show where they get married and adopt a child WHENNNN
(send me a character for this character bingo!)

In 1944 a kitten named George (short for General Electric) was saved from drowning by a U.S. Navy crew member. George was then photographed and given a liberty card and detailed health record. Source.

Suddenly struck with a need to explain to you how boat pronouns work (I work in the marine industry).
When you're talking about the design of the boat, you say "it".
When the boat is still being built, your say "it".
When the boat is nearing completion, you can say "it" or "she".
When the boat is floating in the water you probably say "she", unless there is still a lot of work to be done (e.g. no engine yet) then you say "it".
When the boat is officially launched and operating, you say "she". If you continue to say "it" at this point you are not incorrect but suspiciously untraditional. You are not playing the game.
If you are referring to a boat you don't really know anything about you may say "it" ("there's a big boat, it's coming this way"). But if you know its name, it's probably "she" ("there's the Waverley, she's on her way to Greenock").
If you are talking about boats in general, you say "it" ("when a boat is hit by a wave it heels over")
If you speak about a boat in complimentary terms, it's "she" ("she's a grand boat"). If you are being disparaging it may be it, but not necessarily ("it's as ugly as sin", "she's a grotty old tub").
If she has a boy's name, she's still she. "Boy James", "King Edward", "Sir David Attenborough"? The pronoun is she.
If it's a dumb barge (no engine), you say it. But if it's a rowing boat (no engine), you say she.
I hope this has cleared things up so that you may not be in danger of misgendering floating objects.

I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:
Fictional characters are objects.
They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.

Robot characters who are given names like SL-308-62 but instead of their human friend going Well let's call you Sally for short, they instead ask the other if they Like their current name.
"Do you like your serial number?" they ask. "Yes, quite. It reminds me of who I am" the robot replies. "I have heard others like me go by different names after some time, and maybe one day I'll choose one for myself, too. But right now that is my full name, yes" they continue.
Because it's not your decision to make whether or not the robot will receive a new name. It should be theirs only. What's the difference? One is more complex and the other is simplified. They were both given by strangers instead of themselves.
"62 will do," they conclude. "It's my model number - there will be no other 62 after me."

Shipping fictional characters isn’t representative of your moral values. It’s representative of your particular psychic damage and the themes and motifs that haunt you. Hope this helps.
