✫ a/n: the kids are ages 1-3 (can stand, walk, talk in sentences). the babies aren’t really “jealous” in some of these. they just want some love and affection, too !!!

✫ warnings: usage of “mom” and “mama” to refer to reader

✫ AKAASHI leans into your touch after coming home from the office, his tie loosened and his hair a bit messier than usual. you two are splayed on the couch, his head resting peacefully on your chest as he updates you on bokuto’s recent msby game. and just minutes later, you feel your son pull on your leg. an eruption of babbles leave his lips as he whines and tugs. “mmm, it’s my turn with mom,” keiji whines into your collarbones. you can't help but laugh at your husband's child-like behavior. "keiji, get off, you're gonna make him upset." and as keiji nuzzles his face in the crook of your neck, your baby breaks out into a sob, "mama! mama!" filling the small living room. keiji gets up from his place on your chest and picks your son up, mumbling "i'm sorry, bud" into his equally messy hair. "mama's all yours," he kisses the top of his head and allows him to crawl happily into your arms. "you're as whiny as your mo-" "keiji." he can't even be upset at his limited time with you — the image of you holding his entire world makes up for it.

✫ ATSUMU lingers in the kitchen after tucking your daughter in to bed just about every night. he puts dishes in the cabinets, wipes down the counter, and traps you between his arms for a moment of intimacy. "mind if i kiss ya, babe?" he asks, knowing you'll let him anyway. "you'll do it no matter what i say," you turn your head to the side, creating distance between his lips and yours. "no! i'm a gentleman! that's why ya married me, isn't it?" a laugh leaves your lips and you're stepping up onto your toes to reach his. his hands wrap around your waist, pulling you close against himself. it's been hard to find time for yourselves — your daughter was at the age where she'd walk (stumble, really) away if you took your eyes off of her for even a second. and as you pull away from the kiss, breathless and all, you hear the pitter patter of her tiny feet approaching you two. "baby, why are ya awake? can't sleep?" atsumu bends down to her level, pushing her hair back from her eyes. she rubs at them and then wraps her tiny arms around his neck to kiss his cheeks. "i want a g'night kiss too!" she whines. "alrighty, baby, ya can get as many as ya want! make sure ya give mama a kiss too," he tells her before peppering her cheeks with loving kisses.

✫ IWAIZUMI used to wake up early every morning, getting ready for the day at a slow and relaxing pace, but he finds it harder and harder to do so when you cling onto him, asking for five more minutes of peace, five minutes of calmness before the storm (the storm being your daughter, of course). she's gotten clingier with every step she could take. she wakes up with the sun and makes her way to your bed, struggling to climb up with her tiny legs. the sight of her dad's arm around your waist brings a pout to her lips, her cheeks puffing out as she whispers a "daddy?" and of course, he's awake (he's been awake for the past 15 minutes). "wanna come up?" he asks her before unwrapping his arms from your body and lifting her onto his broad chest. she immediately crawls over him, kicking his face with her feet in the process, to place herself between you two. her little arms and legs wrap around your torso like a koala, and she looks up at you with a toothy smile. "my turn,” she says, nuzzling her head into you. you hear iwa mumble under his breath (something about waking the team up with kicks to the face).

✫ SUNA always searches for you and the twins in the crowd. his team had just won a game that he's been training especially hard for, and it's the first time in a while that you've seen his dimply smile on his face. he runs up to you and the twins with nothing but joy in his eyes. grabbing ahold of your waist, he presses a kiss to your lips — his teeth clash against yours and he's laughing into the kiss out of sheer happiness, but you don't mind it one bit. your sons pull at your clothes as they try to get your attention. suna catches a glimpse of their raised arms and pulls away from you to lift his boys into his own arms, one on each side of his body. they're cheering for their dad, clapping and yelling, “you did it!" suna's never been an affectionate guy, opting to show his love in more subtle ways, but he feels the urge to pull you and the boys in for a tight hug (one where you can feel the rapid beating in his chest). he kisses the top of your head before pressing one on each of the twins' cheeks. "let's go celebrate, yeah?" suna grins. he’d do anything to hold you three like that again after each win — his prized possessions in his arms.

These were pretty fun to think about!

Goji’s love language is more physical with snuggling and staying close to Ghidorah. While he’s not as physical, Ghidorah does enjoy cuddling as well. Ghidorah’s love language is more vocal, he gives Goji compliments and tells him he loves him a lot. When he’s upset, Goji gets Ghidorah food, because Ghidorah rarely gets upset and he finds it harder to comfort with words. Ghidorah on the other hand tends to hold Goji close and reassure him.

The two do cuddle while they sleep, Ghidorah’s wings normally serving as a makeshift blanket for Goji. Goji is also the little spoon.

It’s easiest to get Eins jealous. He was so used to his other heads just kind of being there, that when they started thinking for themselves, he got mad when Goji started paying attention to them. But if we’re talking in general, Ghidorah is still easiest to get jealous.

So... you may have just names my Land Run AU with Staking Their Claim, lol. Would it be okay if I added it to the short list of titles for it?

If not a Land Run AU, then this would definitely be an A/B/O fic. I have an EF based one in my ideas folder that this could work for. Killian and Liam are indentured Alphas, but instead of serving on a ship, they are servants in the Dark One's palace. Liam works in the stables and Killian is essentially a male courtesan.

Prince Neal is in need of a wife. In this werewolf/omegaverse, a person can have more than one mate - no soulmate/one true mate. Neal "matches" with Emma, but his father thinks he can do better than an orphan with no dowry or prospects. She remains at the palace as a back-up in case Neal cannot find another match. The close proximity to a potential mate throws her into heat, so Killian is tasked to see to her needs. The problem is... he is also her potential mate.

Needless to say, that complicates matters.

It Seemed Such a Simple Idea

Emma's summer was stacking up to be a nonstop marathon of weddings. It seemed as though every single person she knew was getting married. And every single wedding would be an opportunity for her well-meaning friends to set her up with the perfect guy for her, who would turn out to be anything but.

Killian's refrigerator was practically wallpapered with invites. Fortunately, there was one last open spot for the most recent save the date, personally delivered to him by his brother when he arrived for their building's monthly poker night.

"I see your summer is going to be filled with dry chicken, overly sweet cake, and congo lines, too," Emma remarks when she joins the group for an evening of Hold 'Em.

Killian can't help but think how he'd like to play a different sort of Hold 'Em with her.

After the game breaks up, Emma stays to help Killian clean-up and the two of them hatch a plan. They'll be each other's plus one for the summer, thereby thwarting their friends, family, and acquaintances from setting them up during this hectic wedding season.

It Seemed Such a Simple Idea... until they found themselves sharing a room with only one bed during the destination wedding at the end of July...

For the Character Development Hard Mode asks. First up, Amira, my Booksmart/Hot MC from Scarlet Hollow: 16. Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success? In the past, Amira put more value in success. That's part of why she became a lawyer, and she wanted to make Vivian proud. Over time she's come to idealize happiness more. After working her ass off in law school and now working 80 hours a week with a quarter of a million in student loan debt, and her mother's death, yeah success isn't looking so great. Sadly, she feels like happiness might be a pipe dream for her. 30. What does your character find repulsive or disgusting? Ditchlings! Amira is both skeptical and fastidious, and she isn't handling the horrors well, she finds a lot of what's been going on this week repulsive. Also cockroaches, and people who are very messy eaters. Well a lot of insects really, while she can manage around them and understands their necessary ecological role, she can never get rid of that ick factor. 31. Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable. Sitting outside on a nice sunny day reading a good book! It's when she's at the most peace and feels the most comfortable. For how easily she can come across as a pretentious snob, she's actually quite happy and comfortable with the simple pleasures in life. For Kyrahlise, my Shepherds of Haven MC: 14. Does your character remember names or faces easier? Kyrah's quite good with both, though she's a little better with faces. Probably because of her artistic side, she's a very visual thinker. 23. What does your character dislike in other people? Whether she likes someone or not mostly comes down to how they treat other people, and animals. So anyone who's a bully, purposely rude, cruel, very discriminatory, is mean to kids or animals, abuses their power over others, or is just generally a jerk, she really dislikes. Not that most people would realize this, she's too polite to let it really show the majority of the time. Otherwise she's pretty easy going and gets along with most people just fine. 40. How does your character treat people in service jobs? Very well. Kyrahlise is naturally a friendly and understanding person, and a lot of her jobs over the years have essentially been service jobs. So she especially has a lot of empathy for service workers. She's been a maid, bodyguard, clerk at an art supply shop, and a waitress, so she's gets how much it can suck. (Some may argue that being a bodyguard isn't a service job, but you are providing a service and I'm sure have to use a lot of customer service skills in doing it.)

i doooo. window open and fan on every night, winter or summer. i like to be cold when i'm in bed/sleeping because it gives me a reason to be nice and cuddly beneath my weighted blanket

i love it as long as i'm appropriately dressed or staying inside and staying cozy. my entire life is one big pursuit of coziness

i'm going to count my last couple dates with rusty as an adventure. we didn't do anything particularly active or daring, but dating can be an adventure, right??? 🙈

Eddie will happily share his food with you no matter what! If you pluck some fries from him without saying anything he'll make this overly-offended face because he's a drama queen and call you a vulture but then you kiss his cheek and he's like "fIIIiiiIIIIne you can have some, thief."

but anytime you don’t take from his food he offers it to you because that’s his way of showing love.

i don’t see him as somebody who can cook very well, just the basic shit to survive but I do see him taking you to local fast food joins a whole lot.

if you're like me and forget to eat a lot he'll share his food with you with his own version of care which is.

I think Eddie is a very touchy person in general. With the way we see him interact with Dustin and the others in the show, so with you? Oh it’s amped up. 

An arm around your shoulders at all times, laying his head in the crook of your neck, playing with your clothes as you talk. This motherfucker is wrapped around you like you’re his life source. 

If ya’ll are out in public and he’s feeling a little cheeky he’ll put his hand in your back pocket so he can give your bum a squeeze.

DAI — he can come across as more stony and unyielding than he really is, but at the end of the day he's pretty easy to read. he's not particularly duplicitous or dissembling and there's really just not that much to misunderstand. he is exactly who he says he is. MINAH — I think she maybe has a reputation for being more mysterious/secretive than she actually acts. not because she isn't both those things, just because she's a better actor than I am and in-universe it's not quite as obvious that she's deflecting, if that makes sense. she also plays up the petty thief/trickster/entertainer angle because it serves her to be pigeonholed like that. most of the misunderstanding is to her benefit (irl I also think she's misunderstood but I am ALSO using the misunderstanding to her benefit. I hope.) BRANWEN — in-universe a bit, but in a kind of way that supports the character she wants to portray. she doesn't mind a bit of confusion or living in the difference between the captain and the woman. (irl I won't stop shouting about her so I'm pretty sure misunderstanding is impossible).

DAI — he's just so earnest. he's earnest and he cares so obviously and he's always trying to do the kind and thoughtful thing and it reads all over his face and voice and actions. MINAH — her actions speak much louder than her words. she's always looking out for the party in little ways—trying to make sure they're included in stuff, trying to make sure they aren't taken advantage of, being a little shit in their favor, that kind of thing. it's how she treated the troupe too; she won't say much of substance but she'll act it. she's kinder than she likes to pretend she is BRANWEN — she's also an actions speak louder than words kinda gal, but she's loud about it. a gesture means a lot to her and she makes them big when she can. if she's showing kindness, it's hard to mistake it for anything else—it's big and it's genuine and she enjoys the activity of getting to be kind to someone.

🥔 [POTATO] What do they have that others see as a flaw, but they don't care about?

DAI — probably his self-sacrificing nature. even if (when) it hurts the people he loves, he's not sorry about it. sorry about the hurt, yes, but not about what he'd give up to do the right thing. MINAH — she refuses to be sorry about the greedy thieving packrat stuff no matter how disapproving people may get. being on her own with nothing to her name really did a number on her and she refuses to ever be in that position again. (same with the secrets honestly. she does what she's gotta to survive) BRANWEN — depends on which "others" but turning her back on the empress and the world she was raised in will always be a strength to her, no matter what crimes they may jot down under her name (honestly the crimes are a bonus).

6. Midnight Rain — What dream are you chasing right now?

Hmmm, a sense of purpose. That's part of being young, I think-- once you get older, you realize it wasn't about "purpose" so much as living, learning, and growing. Haven't got there yet. ;)))

14. The Great War — What’s in your ‘memory garden’?

Had no idea what this term was, so I looked it up. Cool idea~!

For me, my journals or archive history-- horrendous memory, absolutely atrocious; and I wouldn't remember great swaths of my life without either of those tools. (Speaking of, I need to get back into the habit of daily journaling, even if it's a line or two...)

16. Paris — When was the last time you played pretend?

All the time. My older sibling and I bond over crafting cozy fictional worlds (I create bombastic characters to play off of her more staid personality.) Something that won't change anytime soon, hopefully~.

1. favorite artist(s) outside of kpop?

Jolin Tsai! There are others, but she's definitely the first and longest (I've been a fan since 1999 when she released her first album)

5. what are your favorite and least favorite concepts?

My facetious answer is: favorite - gay, least favorite - straight. This is mostly a joke, but there are definitely things that I'm not interested in because they're painfully heteronormative.

My more serious answer: I tend to like elegant concepts and storytelling, cute can work for me, but it has to be well executed. I love fantasy and sci fi when done well. I don't tend to like sexy just to be sexy, and I am not a horror person, though it can work for me if done exactly right. I don't like noisy for noisiness sake.

23. what is your love language?

I tend to show affection by trying to help people with things. Being able to research something or problem solve. Being there to listen and support. In person I cook for people as a form of affection. It's part of why teaching is a field that works well for me.
