Do u have any good Stranger Things fic recs? 👀

Why yes, yes I do! Though, fair warning, most all of them are Mileven and from the post S2/pre S3 era, though not all are canon so it shouldn't feel too dated.

First and foremost (and resisting the urge to rec my own fics lmao) is anything and everything by Lborealis (aka Laura, aka @el-borealis)- I'd say especially "Full Circle" which feels very relevant to what we've gotten in S4 so far.

Next up, we have cali-chan (@girls-are-weird, or Carla). Her "Mike, El, and the Quiet Moments" is so freaking adorable, though mostly takes place post S2 (or, more accurately, was written mostly post S2 as it spans the next 20-25 years of Mike and El's lives). Also "Geek on Fleek" is just squee-worthy.

My last primarily Mileven author rec is thenewromantics (@mikewheeler or Kate). Pretty much everything she writes is pure gold and is so stinking cute I can't even. "it was enchanting to meet you" is pretty much the only Soulmate AU I've loved in this fandom, but really everything is great from her.

If you're more into Lumax, might I suggest maplestreet83? You probably know her best as @lucascsinclairs or Kaisa and not only is she talented both as a writer and also a gif maker, but she's also one of the nicest people I know.

If you want more of a mix with some gen thrown in, go check out freshbloom (@http-yuuji, aka miss Jazz)! Her stuff is guaranteed to hit you right in the feels.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now - it's been a while since I've been super active in reading through Stranger Things fanfic, especially if it's not Mileven (my bad, I know - I'm trying to remedy this). But if anyone else has any recs, feel free to sound off with them in the notes!

Wa Wa Nee was one of the biggest acts to emerge from Australia in the 80s.

Steve Williams and Paul Gray formed the band in 1985. After signing to CBS records in 1985, the band quickly rose to fame.

Hits ‘Stimulation’ and ‘I Could Make You Love Me’ ensured the band smashed records, becoming the first band in Australia to have two top 10 singles in the national charts simultaneously.

In 1987 ‘Sugar Free’ hit the Top 40 charts in America with the band appearing on beloved US TV shows, American Bandstand with Dick Clark, Top of The Pops, The Late Show with Arsenio Hall and many others.

In 2022, Steve was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame.

Steve has assembled an ace band to celebrate Wa Wa Nee’s music LIVE, the way it should be heard.

Listening to The Archer for the first time hit me like a ton of bricks. It brought me right back to how I felt as a teenager. See, there was once a girl who hid from everyone — even herself. A girl who was exhausted when she woke up in the mornings. Someone who was desperate to do anything, anything at all but come out. She hated her reflection, and how damn good she got at pretending. Her entire identity felt like a lie she couldn’t dig out of. Even worse, a lie that everyone could see right through. Who would want to be with someone who couldn’t love themselves? It felt like a losing battle. She was filled with despair, and ached for change. She drove herself to the cliffs edge. It was through silent screams she realized it was time. She’d either live authentically in life and love, or not live at all. Ready for combat. Finally, she understood why people lost their minds and fought the wars. That girl was me. And, now when I wake in the mornings I feel free; I was able to step into the daylight, and let it go.
