Jensen mentioning Tower of Terror/Guardians ride gave me PTSD flashbacks of when I went on with my parents a few years back. My dad had to actually grab my arm cuz I actually flew out of my seat and I felt nauseous for thirty minutes after.

Being a themepark buff in [current year] is so damn annoying because you hear about this wonderful new concept (usually for a property, there are no more original IPs) and it's gonna be a dark ride and it's gonna be so immersive with this full show and- what's that? Oh it's all screens. Okay.

Wonderful Things That May Or May Not Be Wonderful Expedition Everest at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. Not just a thrilling roller coaster but an immersive journey. A journey that starts in the Nepalese village of Serka Zong as you prepare to take a refurbished tea train over the so-called Forbidden Mountain to the base of Mt. Everest. Throughout the wait, you see shrines and prayers to the mountain's protector and warnings of its existence. Once you board, it's just one steady climb and many harrowing descents as your train races through the mountain's dark interior avoiding the Abominable Snowman's eastern cousin, the mythical Yeti. Overall, one of WDW's best in theming and a wonderful experience all around. Now if only Yeti worked properly. Oh well, we still have Disco Yeti.

Oooookay. Let's talk about E.T. Adventure.

you know the iconic bike chase scene at the end of E.T.? what if you could experience that AND then get to travel to E.T.s home planet and meet his creepy ass friends. And you're on shrooms. Seriously, if you haven't experienced the confusion and delight that is this ride, go find yourself a YouTube video.

This universal studios Florida ride just seems so disjointed from everything else in the park. It doesn't really match the area around it. The animatronics and visuals just feel so outdated in my opinion. I don't really feel like the story of the ride comes through very well. iI'm willing to bet that a lot of people haven't read the second E.T. book that explores his homeworld. One sec you're just on a bike with a beloved character, and the next some creepy fuckin lookalike is staring out at you amid neon popping flora and fauna.

That's not to say the visuals are bad. I think the animatronics definitely need an update or something, they're creeeeepy. But the vibrant plants and alien scenery is actually pretty cool to look at. It could probably use a bit of an update, but they seem to be well done. I'm not sure they really fit this ride?

I understand Steven Spielberg is very against closing this ride down. He designed it, its about his movie but. Man the ride is a LOT at the moment. It definitely needs some refurbishments at the veryyyyyy least.

Ofc these are just my opinions, based on riding it once in 2019. Its lived rent free in my head ever since tho. It truly is a unique theme park experience, for better or worse.
