Tenho procurado formas de chegar a você, mas está parecendo ficar cada vez mais difícil... Eu continuo sendo aquele mesmo idiota emocionado que sempre dá o primeiro passo. Às vezes me pergunto: até quando vou ser assim?

Eu continuo mandando a primeira mensagem. Eu continuo falando sobre os meus sentimentos. Eu continuo te mandando recados. Continuo respondendo rápido suas mensagens, porque sempre fui péssimo naqueles joguinhos de desinteresse. Porém, tenho a sensação de que por mais que eu tente me afastar deles, sempre acabo exausto na mesma praia da qual eu fugi.

Eu imaginei viver com você aquele tipo de amor que se constrói da amizade. O que eu sinto por você não é avassalador como meus dois primeiros amores, que foram sentimentos tão joviais e cheios de paixão. Mas tinha potencial pra se tornar algo especial. Só que essa sensação de estar me esforçando demais pra te manter por perto, eu já senti antes... E é exaustiva, angustiante.

Talvez seja por isso que, eu já esteja apresentando sinais de exaustão assim tão cedo. Talvez seja por isso que eu esteja perdendo as esperanças de que isso possa ter algum futuro. Talvez seja por isso que eu já esteja me preparando pra ejetar, mesmo antes de decolar.

Porque, talvez, só talvez, isso tudo só existiu na minha cabeça e mais uma vez eu tenha alimentado esperanças vãs. Porque como já dizia a Taylor, em The Archer: "fácil eles vêm, fácil eles se vão, eu salto do trem e sigo sozinho, eu nunca cresci e isso está ficando cansativo... Me ajude a segurar em você" . Só que diferente dela, eu não quero me segurar em ninguém, quero descer do trem e seguir caminhando sozinho, pra não ter aquela esperança de que você vá comigo até a última estação, só pra ver você descer logo na próxima...

he probably could have been a lot meaner when dean was telling him all his mistakes in southern comfort but he knew dean was like possessed by the penny (iirc???) so he chose kindness smh...

okay i’m so curious: do you have a specific reason why you hate it’s nice to have a friend or do you just not vibe with it? (also this is no hate cuz i’m indifferent about this song - it’s more out of pure curiosity)

a few reasons! i think it sounds bad- like it sounds incomplete to me and badly produced. some of the lyrics are really cute and other ones are really.. really… really clunky. the song kind of comes off to me like it was thrown together really last minute for the sake of just adding one more song to an already very long album, an album that it doesn’t really fit on anyway

To me exile is one of the best songs on folklore

Exactly like it’s just so bizarre that people would believe that Steve actually would want to spend time around people who constantly mean. Yep like you said it’s a huge difference between fun teasing and bullying between friends.

You’re completely right like Steve is a former mean girl and wouldn’t just take everything that was being said about him. He seriously wouldn’t take it and be pissy back at them. And you’re right cuz the show seems to take a piss at him it’s easier for fic authors to take even more piss out on him too.

yeah, steve literally ditched his old friends because they were dicks who never took him seriously and didn’t care about other people, and fic writers seriously think he’d hang out with people that treat him even worse than tommy and carol did???

and honestly, i don’t think steve would even like the teasing that much. don’t get me wrong, i know steve enjoys a little making fun here and there, but i think even if people were jokingly calling steve stupid, it’d just make him feel bad about himself.

and yeah, we saw steve lash out at dustin, so we know he wouldn’t really hold back if someone kept digging and digging at him. especially when it’s something he’s self-conscious about.

i honestly hate the duffer brothers for writing steve this way, and i hate fic writers for continuing it. like people will talk all day about fixing the duffers mistakes when it comes to couples, or eddie’s death or whatever, and then write steve even worse than the duffers do.

i think i stand by my own opinions strongly at least in my head shdjf but often times esp if it’s with people i don’t know that well i tend to just agree with what they say to keep the peace 🫡

all relationships need trust and communication so it’s no different in that sense, i think if you’re committed to making it work it can definitely work out even if it’s hard
