It drives me crazy when I hear people specifically call Leafpool “a bad mother”… when she wasn’t a mother??

It’s supposed to be some misogynistic “own” against Leaf by the people who loathe her (very solid and well-written, wonderfully flawed) character, I’m aware, but like. Y’all. Leafpool wasn’t the Three’s mother.

She gave birth to them, sure. But for all their lives until they became adults, at which point raising them had become a done job, Leafpool was their aunt. I don’t think she ever even tried to parent them, outside of Jayfeather, who was her apprentice, so the lines there are already blurred. Squirrelflight was their mother. She raised them. She cared for them and watched over them and was the one to comfort them when they cried or needed something.

Leafpool couldn’t be a “bad mother” because she was never a mother, and it’s weird and frustrating to me that people still insist on calling her such… /shrug

Day 8 of Alphabet warrior cats! For “H” I did Holyleaf and I added Fallen Leaves in there too (sorry it’s a little late I’ve been busy) Hope you like it!

This official art of Hollyleaf made me think of an AU where Lionblaze and Jayfeather are Crowfeather and Leafpool's kits, but Breezepelt and Hollyleaf are Crowfeather & Nightcloud's kits

Has there ever been a Seer blessed by Horoa? I’d imagine it’s very rare since his specialty is Hunting and Fighting mostly.

But also! Do the Horoa hunters get any special appearance when they become a Hunter of his? Like glowing eyes, a more golden shine to their pelts? Also who was the first servant of his?

Horoa almost never has anything to do with blessing seers. I'm sure there's been a couple apprentices in history who were given his blessing, but none exist in current memory because the idea is a very strange one. Like you said, he's a fighter and a hunter - he's ideal for warrior apprentices who require courage and steadfastness. Besides not needing to learn either fighting or hunting, seers are generally pretty confident in who and what they are. You don't get to that position based on a guess.

As for his hunters: they do change in appearance! They become larger than any living cat (or any normal StarClan cat, for that matter), their eyes shine with the power of the sun, and while their pelt colors don't change, they do seem to illuminate somehow. Sort of a glowing silhouette around them, making it feel like they have the sun at their backs all the time.

His first servant isn't known for sure, but common belief is that Brawn, the founder of ThunderClan, is among his hall and hunts with him, so maybe he was. Some think that Brawn spends his time in StarClan, helping his founding friends lead the peaceful union of all of their descendants. It's sort of a topic of debate, where the founders ended up.

My last warriors design was the first post on this blog that people snacked on so in a fit of art block I bring you more, specifically The Threw™ who made young me scrap my little wolf story because I was afraid people would say I was copying warrior cats

Hollyleaf honestly is pretty basic, just every trait if seen the fandom give her thrown into one design. I love when people give her a beard it's so silly and the red/green eyes are just iconic at this point tbh. Can't forget holly fur and emo hair tuft god bless the United states of Hollyleaf

Lionblaze also looks a little basic but I did put thought into it I prommy. He's actually heavily based off of the Firestar design I did and I gave him the white paw because like. I always see people give it to Hollyleaf or Jayfeather (more so hollyleaf) I don't think I've ever seen it with Lionblaze. If he can't have a personality, at least let him have that. I'm also pretty sure he has a torn ear idk it's been a few years since I read the books

And Jayfeather. Idk dawg. I thought I had a vision but I lost it. The only bit that survived was thin pupils for some reason. Stars on his cheeks kind of just appeared. They reminded me of the usual star on the chest you'd commonly see on Three designs so I kept it and gave them to Lionblaze too. I thought the eyes of the head was a silly thought too, both because eyes are something you see a lot in Jay's designs and because of the tiger link. Since people initially believed Bramble was his father, making Tigerstar his grandfather, I thought it would be a silly link. Maybe I'll give something similar to Tigerstar

I think it would have been really cool if the Three all had powers that “went against StarClan” aka had something to do with death

Jayfeather could bring a cat back from death (Poppyfrost) and had an unusually powerful link to the Clan’s afterlives

Lionblaze could go without dying of usual means: through combat/injury or through illness, since I don’t ever think we’ve seen him get sick

And Dovewing/Hollyleaf/whoever you prefer the last member of the Three to be could sense when a cat was about to die, or perhaps predict when, or even could interact with ghosts to a certain degree

Ideally there would be four, ofc: defying death, interacting with death, predicting death, and speaking with the dead

Idk. Since their powers were all leading up to the huge battle with the Dark Forest, it would’ve been far more fun to have the Three’s powers connect to it somehow beyond solely Jayfeather’s.

It would’ve been really fun for some otherworldly power to look at the Clans and the Clan’s afterlives and be like “hey.. so many lives will be lost, so many spirits will be corrupted, and the shift of the world’s balance between life and death, living and ghost, could be put in jeopardy… So let’s give these Clanborn cats these specific set of powers and let THEM deal with it so we don’t have to”

….. Nobody take this idea pls, I might run with it…

I have this au where the 3 are split up between the clans yet all I can think of is Hollyleaf living in windclan with Crowfeather, Nightcloud, and Breezepelt as her family. Idk how to include lionblaze and Jayfeather in their respective clans because I feel like they just kind of have to be together

Nightcloud and Breezepelt are both incredibly close with Hollyleaf, Holly and breeze can both relate over wanting their father’s attention

Might just have it be where crowf takes Hollyleaf (should I name her hollybreeze or hollyshade? Hollybreeze sounds nicer to me but hollyshade is cool too) and Leafpool takes Lion and Jay

Basically “yeah we split the kids over the divorce. Sorry”
