Hi Joy! I love the idea of the sticker method, it seems like it would be very helpful for me to keep on top of school and acknowledge how much work is actually being done even when I don't feel like it is.

If you don't mind me asking, do you remember where you bought your star stickers?

Hello! I'm glad the sticker method might be of use to you :) I get my stickers from lots of places, but the holographic stars in the gif come from Amazon. Looking at the seller, it looks like you can also get them cheaper on their website, though the cost of shipping makes it about comparable. Hope that helps!

[ID: a sheet of blank mailing stickers with pro-palestine slogans written on them.]

i put up the rest of my homemade stickers today and i wanted to make a quick post about how i made them because it's entirely possible some of you already have all the materials laying around at home or could buy them at the post office without having to find a place that will print stickers for you.

i used:

sharpies (any permanent marker obviously works here)

blank stick-on mailing labels

clear masking tape (for waterproofing)

i just wrote my messages on the mailing labels and tore off a piece of tape around the size of the label to cover it with. it doesn't have to align perfectly, you just want to make sure it covers all your writing so they don't smudge and it's not so oversized that it ends up taping the sticker to the sheet.

once you have your stickers finished you have them still on the sheet and you can peel them off and stick them wherever you want! this makes them a lot more portable and faster to apply than if you were to be putting up flyers, so if you're disabled like me it's a lot easier to cover more ground when putting them up. if you are someone who is out and about during the day, you could prepare a sheet and keep it in your bag and pull them out to stick them up different places while you go about your day!

I always forget there’s this neat trick I can do when I’m super anxious to the point of not being able to sleep at 6:12 AM and it’s called “Time to Sort”. Now I just have to decide if I want to sort books or stickers

you know, it should be illegal for online stores to need your email address before telling you how much shipping costs

#wox words #ignoring the fact shipping info beyond 'free over [minimum purchase]' should be available anyway #even then you should be able to get a shipping quote before entering literally any personal information other than the mailing address #because that's how you get those stupid 'you left this in your cart :)' emails like yeah!! i did!!#I'm not paying shipping costs more expensive than the item!!#(sometimes i do because i like supporting indie creators and unfortunately i live in Australia #but if you wanna charge me over $1.10 for domestic postage on stickers. absolutely not thanks #I'll happily sign a waiver on lost $3 stickers if it means not spending $10 on postage)#also this is to say nothing of the fact that unchecking the newsletter signup doesn't work if you pay through something like paypal #the site will automatically recheck it after paypal redirects and you'll never get a chance to fix it #in case you were wondering how that happens. not the fault of the individual shop‚ just built into the default site payment method i think

i went around and put up another batch of stickers as we near the final day of the strike. i tried drawing handala on a couple i was limited by the dimensions of the mailing stickers i used but i think he at least turned out recognizable.

#one of my old stickers was still up and only somewhat faded through wind rain and snowstorms and multiple months so it seems like the #clear masking tape waterproofing method really does work!#i also put up some about war tax resistance and the congo and sudan

#been looking a bit into selling some art on redbubble as stickers and stuff but like. boy howdy is it confusing #if you want to sell fanart officially you've got to get a license but the fandoms im in aren't on there...#you could put designs up regardless bc companies most likely wont ding you?? but can you put stuff up on Tumblr to show that its up??#bc from what ive seen you cant actually sell designs youre selling on redbubble on other sites but like. can you show it??#like on here bc you've posted it before bc I think ive seen that done #hhhhhhh #if- IF- I set up a redbubble id sell art for the fandoms im in but yknow. the frog show is owned by Disney and they've got A Reputation #but I also see people put up designs for that all the time (I have a frog show sticker I bought off of redbubble)#im just an English major I dont know shit about legal stuff and economics #dont take this as a guarantee ill actually set up a redbubble. ive just been thinking about it #and then theres a whole other thing about having been approached about commissions before and like. gotta look into the best method for that #good lord #beans rambles
