I was shocked to enjoy the TV series and that prompted me to re-read the comics, which were an obsession for me in high school! Here’s a little homage to the King of Dreams, Morpheus. Gotta have the gothrock hair though~
I’ll have prints at ECCC this weekend--including holo-sparkle posters!

Round One/4, Poll
Shawn McManus, artist #36
VS.
Kelley Jones, penciller #22
Two artists who both illustrated big, memorable arcs and gave us two of the probably most iconic panels. While McManus’ portrayal of Morpheus is fairly consistent, Jones gives us “Dream of a thousand faces”—often to the extent that you wonder if he has been drawn by the same artist. That’s why we really recommend you check in on their work again before you make your choice:
Shawn McManus: Fables and Reflections #31, A Game of You #32-33 and #35-37
Kelley Jones: Dream Country #17-18, Season of Mists #22-24 and #26-27
And remember, you are voting for your favourite version of Dream, not the particular storyline.
Who is your favourite and why? Let us know in the comments/reblogs. Share your thoughts about their art, your favourite panels from their issues, or even other art they created and help us turn this into an artist appreciation post.
Here’s the poll to vote for your favourite if you want to see them again (you can find the whole bracket here, and feel free to check out previous matches via the tag #sandman march mania):

Faces of Dream
One character, so many amazing artists and so many distinctive looks across the series. For why should a dream have only one face?

One of my friend is responsible for the drawing that will follow, following a conversation I was hit by the urge to draw Dream in dresses and in general more fem presenting. Enjoy

While reading some posts about Morpheus's lovers and the way he loves (the posts are from @writing-for-life), I just noticed now how much he really seems needy and desperate for love.
Even after many centuries, when he meets his exes, he says he still loves them, for some he said they could still be his queen.
Just a sad observation. Poor emo kitten.
