(from The Place of No Stars)
I'm a firm believer that Mousewhisker is the one who suggested himself as leader. "Yeah, Mousewhisker! ...Who said that 🤐"

I finished A Light in the Mist a little while ago and I had an idea to make the ending more cool and fun
[Image description
Leafpool, somber expression: “I’m sorry Shadowsight. You were never meant to walk with Starclan, only with Shadow.”
Leafpool, smiling: “However...”
Leafpool (referring to Sparrowfeather, Silverhawk, and Maggottail standing together): “It seems to me that some who walk with shadow make for good company. Perhaps you can use your gift to help them find their way to the stars?”
Shadowsight’s eyes are wide in amazement.
Shadowsight turns his head, smiling wide, tears in his eyes: “Of course I will!”
End description]
It didn’t make total sense to me that Shadowsight would only have a spiritual connection with Ashfur, a cat he’d never met in life, and nobody else at all. So I said “What if his connection was with the whole dark forest instead?”
After the events of TBC, Shadowsight would still participate in half-moon meetings, but instead of communing with Starclan, he’d check up on the spirits in the Dark Forest. Every month, he could reach out to troubled souls and try to help them find peace, redemption, or whatever it is they need to pass over into Starclan. Of course, some spirits like Mapleshade of Thistleclaw will never accept his help, but the Dark Forest doesn’t have to be a sentence to eternity anymore. I also suspect the spirits that won’t accept Shadowsight’s help could still be dangerous if he encounters them - Mothwing could watch over him and wake him up if she notices something’s wrong in the living world, and/or cousin Juniperclaw could be the bodyguard to his spirit form.

Question about a rewrite thingie: Since Frecklewish is mostly in the dark forest has Mapleshade seen her? And if so what are their interactions like(if any)?
Oh Anon... I have been waiting so long to be asked this.
Frecklewish, in WCR, has gone to the Dark Forest of her own consent, for those who are new here.
In life, before she became radicalized by her father, Frecklewish had a small crush on Mapleshade... Well, more like Frecklepaw had a crush on Maplepaw. It faded with time though, and no feelings would be left after her radicalization and helping exile Mapleshade's kittens.
So, she and Mapleshade finally meet again in Frecklewish's Super Edition, Frecklewish's Choice. Mapleshade has been given a divine punishment, a permanent large belly, giving her the same appearance she had while she was pregnant. She chases Frecklewish but when Frecklewish uses her Skyclan Leap to get up a tree, Mapleshade cannot follow.
They begin to talk from there, and Frecklewish strikes up a bargin with her. She saw Larch, Petal and Patch while she was waiting for her trial, they were unhappy and wanted to see their mother again.
Having not officially been granted into Starclan OR The Dark Forest, as her trial was never finished (or even started), Frecklewish has access to both realms. On nights of the New Moon, when the hazy white fog thins the most, Frecklewish will sneak the 3 kits across the border to spend time with their mother.
In the meantime, Frecklewish learns that there is a way for Dark Forest cats to enter Starclan, but it is almost never used. She wants to get Mapleshade to use it, to help the little family. She becomes the little angel on Mapleshade's shoulders, telling her to stay out of plots, help cats out (this saved Stormkit/Crookedstar's life) or just... Say something nice? About someone? Anyone?
It'll be a long, long road.
