Unpopular opinion. #1
Dormammu is the one who should be the Main Villain in "The Multiverse Saga".
Tumblr media
Arts made by Anthony Francisco and Kevin Maguire.
Warning: English is not my main language, I'm sorry if there are some errors in the text.
_______________________________________________
If Marvel is really going to try to replace Kang as the main villain in the saga, then Dormammu is one of the best options at the moment.
Dormammu is already a multiversal threat in the MCU and has been here since 2016 trying to get revenge against Stephen (The "Anchor" of the MCU, according to Kevin Feige).
Dormammu and Stephen have a long rivalry in the comics, not to mention that the two are very similar in certain aspects, such as their ego, ignorance and pride.
Stephen Strange's greatest love is, literally, the niece of his greatest enemy. Imagine the potential that this could be used to develop their rivalry and even explore what Clea's relationship with Dormammu is like in the MCU. Let you know, I'm a fan of the idea of Dormammu and Clea having a "Father and Daughter" relationship in the MCU, I think it would be an interesting dynamic and would make Dormammu become a more complex antagonist.
Nothing against Doctor Doom replacing Kang in the MCU, because he is one of the best villains in Marvel and is the most likely option to happen. However, my fear is that they will have to introduce him in the middle of the saga and perhaps his introduction will be too rushed, negatively affecting the character's adaptation. Galactus has the same problem.
Dormammu is an easier villain to write in the MCU because he has always been portrayed as a villain who is "Evil for the sake of being Evil." There's no problem with him being like this in the MCU, because that would save Marvel a huge headache if they used Kang or Doctor Doom. Furthermore, there is a way to make simple villains work in the MCU, the High Evolutionary is an example. Villains can be pure evil and still care about certain people, this could be put into Dormammu and explore that side of him a little.
If Marvel wants so badly to adapt "Secret Wars" into the MCU, then there are two possibilities for doing so: They could leave out 2015's Secret Wars and focus on the first Secret Wars (Beyonder), but replace the Beyonder with Dormammu. The other option is to try to adapt the comic "Defenders (2005)", because in that comic, Dormammu managed to use the power of Eternity to recreate the Multiverse in his image. These two options could save 2015's Secret Wars and be adapted in the future with Doctor Doom.
The first Doctor Strange film established that the Dark Dimension is "Beyond Time". This could be used as an excuse for Dormammu to not be affected by Kang's (or the Council of Kangs') manipulations. Furthermore, this would give Dormammu an advantage in eliminating these threats and taking their place as the Main Villain.
_______________________________________________
Well, that was my opinion on who should replace Kang in the MCU. I know this will never happen, because Marvel doesn't realize the potential they are losing by leaving the Faltines aside. I know it's still possible for them to just replace Kang's actor with another actor, but I wanted to base my post on the possibility of the character being completely replaced, because it's more interesting.

It just occurred to me that this is the first time ever that The Avengers will really be talked about...near the end of the fifth phase for this new saga.
Phase Five is almost done and I THINK the Multiverse Saga is almost wrapped up at this point. And we're just NOW discussing The Avengers. The closest we got before this was that kid in Spider-Man: Far From Home asking if the Avengers are even a thing anymore and a reporter asking Spider-Man if he's now the leader. Aside from that, there hasn't been ANYTHING with this super team, no talks about getting them together or even who's going to be a part of it, let alone if it still exists anymore. And that might be because...there was never a threat big enough to warrant them back yet. Every story was something personal to these characters, with the big bad Kang getting his ass kicked by Ant-Man of all heroes. And when there WAS some big, crazy, end of the world type deal going on, it's mostly handeled by someone who wasn't a part of the team (Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel) or currently felt too disconnected to the other heroes as they faced a problem that goes above what anyone else is capable of (Thor, Shuri, and Doctor Strange). Still, it's weird that Thor wouldn't tell his current living friends what's going on or how NO OTHER HERO showed up when Scarlet Witch's hex first popped up. It just feels like The Avengers would and SHOULD be in conversation a lot more before this Captain America movie. They're Marvel's biggest superhero team, the counterpart to DC's Justice League. And they haven't been around since Endgame, which feels...so wrong.

After her last appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness it was left unclear what exactly the future holds for Wanda Maximoff "The Scarlet Witch"
At the end of Multiverse of Madness, we see Wanda seemingly sacrifice herself, after realizing what she had become in her pursuit to be with her children once again. She destroyed the Darkhold in every single universe throughout the Multiverse and brought Wandagor down around her.
Seemingly killing herself...or did she?
Where could Wanda show up next?
Could she make an appearance in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine?
Or would it be more likely she would show up in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries? Especially with the speculation and rumor that her son Billy is reincarnated in a boy in the same town she enslaved during her Hex.
Other than those projects the only other works she could possibly show up in are the next Avengers films, or a much deserved solo film.
What else does Wanda have to contribute to the rest of the Multiverse Saga and beyond if that's part of her journey?

I've got this sick, SICK feeling that the Multiversal War is going to start the same way Infinity War did: with a Loki's sacrifice.
With Loki, now as the God of Stories, holding onto the timelines and being the one person keeping them together, the only way to get the TVA out of the way again and cause the war would be if he let go. And of course the war HAS to happen cause that's what the MCU is setting up, so unless it's proven otherwise, I'm gonna be thinking nonstop about how the Kangs are likely gonna gang up on him and we may be seeing Loki's demise again.
After all, it kinda seems to be a Loki's destiny to lose.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige removed a key element from Loki Season 2's ending according to the show's composer Natalie Holt.
Throughout the Multiverse Saga, the Marvel boss provided several notes to previous projects under Phase 4 and Phase 5.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse director Sam Raimi revealed in the film's audio commentary Feige wanted to remove the first encounter between Strange and Mordo in Earth-838 since he felt that "it was a little corny," but the filmmaker refused.
In June 2023, Secret Invasion director Ali Selim shared that there were ideas for the series that Feige "killed" because "he has a plan going down the road."
Ms. Marvel director and showrunner Adil El Arbi also pointed out in July 2022 that Feige had a special request for the show's mutant reveal, with the MCU boss telling him to "just shoot [the scene], put the [X-Men theme] on, and that’s it."
Loki's Ending Song That Almost Came to Be
Tumblr media
In an interview with Marvel Entertainment, Loki Season 2 composer Natalie Holt talked about the one change that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made to the series' final moments near the end of post-production.
At the end of Season 2's finale, Mobius and Sylvie overlook a suburban house belonging to one of Mobius' Variants. As Sylvie walks away and the camera stays on Mobius pondering his future, a rock-inspired tune starts playing. The music intensifies through the final shot of Loki protecting his secured timelines and continues to play through the credits.
The original plan devised by Holt and crew was for this song to be accompanied by lyrics.
Holt explained how she had been working with a songwriter to craft words for the epic closing song:
"I wanted to write a song [for 'Loki']. I’d been working in the studio with a songwriter, trying to come up with a song using the 'Loki' theme."
However, as the series was wrapping up, Feige altered such plans for Loki's emotional ending to be accompanied by poetic lyrics, as he thought that they would "feel too leading:"
"Kevin Feige just said, 'I don’t like having lyrics here. It feels too leading.'
But what is left is this sort of underneath of a song."
Holt reflected on Feige's advice, admitting that "it seemed to work better" without lyrics:
"It seemed to work better without lyric’s help, because when you add lyrics into a song it does make it very specific. So yeah, it has the feel of a sort of rockier version of the theme though."
Why Loki's Score Works Better Without Lyrics
Given Loki Season 2 ended with a poignant moment for Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief, it's fitting that it was accompanied by the perfect score from Natalie Holt.
Kevin Feige's advice to not put lyrics in Loki Season 2's finale score is understandable since including them would've spoon-fed the viewers what kind of emotion or reaction the creators wanted them to feel.
While it would've been unique for the score to be a full-blown song while Loki's ascension is happening, hearing a powerful theme without words is more impactful and thrilling for the viewers.

'Loki' Season 2 Finale: Yggdrasil and The New MCU Timeline
If you watched the Loki season 2 finale tonight you may have seen something familiar. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken audiences on an epic journey through the realms of superheroes, cosmic forces, and the multiverse, weaving intricate mythologies into its narrative tapestry. One of the most intriguing elements from Norse mythology to make its way into Marvel’s rich storytelling is…

Theory: Since the next MCU story arc is “The Multiverse Saga”, the live-action X-Men are going to be from the ‘97 animated show
Reasoning:
1) Disney revived the show and is really going hard at marketing it. Keep in mind, there are a LOT of Marvel animated shows, so for Marvel Studios to specifically pick the 97 series is a huge deal. Also, it’s the only non-MCU-specific property that they announced (Marvel Zombies, Freshman Year, and What If don’t necessarily count since they’re all MCU-adjacent).
2) Avoids addressing the continuity problems of the Fox X-Men series. Good luck trying to figure out how the Fox X-Men timeline works. Also, along the same lines, Marvel probably wants to use certain characters in ways that doesn’t match the canon of the X-Men movies. For example, using Darwin (who died in First Class), introducing a Wanda Maximoff variant who is Magneto’s daughter (Peter Maximoff doesn’t have a twin), or another attempt at a Dark Phoenix adaptation.
3) Charles Xavier in “Multiverse of Madness” used the yellow wheelchair.
4) The X-Men ‘97 theme has been used twice now (Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel).
5) People generally prefer the 97 show over the Fox movies, so Disney might just be going for the option that’s more appealing to audiences.
6) By retroactively making X-Men 97 a MCU-adjacent series, Disney could avoid having to do an origin movie/TV show. If someone wanted to know more about this version of live-action X-Men, they can always watch the ‘97 show.
7) Avoids potential casting issues by being able to start from scratch. As an example of a potential casting problem, Oscar Isaac is both Apocalypse and Moon Knight. Also, Hugh Jackman retired from playing Wolverine.
8) The only property that Disney/Marvel Studios is interested in bringing back from the Fox X-Men franchise is Deadpool...and MAYBE Quicksilver.

WARRIOR QUEENS
Y’know, it’s only because I’ve read the comics that I knew Shuri would logically be the next Black Panther... I just wish it didn’t have to take Chadwick Boseman dying for it to happen.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres soon and, even though the loss of the title character’s gonna be felt, that doesn’t mean we Line it is Drawn artists can’t be excited; it’s what he would’ve wanted. So, we had to come up with pieces of Shuri either teaming up or sparring against someone. While I wish it was with T’Challa, I paired her up with Storm.
Like always, you can show your support to me and other artists by checking out our pieces live on Comic Book Resources right now.

Kamala's powers
I am watching this video of Iman Vellani talking about Kamala's powers, specifically where she compares her powers to that of Armor of the X-Men.
She is a mutant. She has something in her DNA. But the exposure to the Noor power (her great grandmother Aisha's energy from the train scene specifically?), activates the mutation. Like how the X-Men are the "Children of the Atom" because of radiation exposure?
Iman says specifically Kamala does not need to be wearing the bangle. It was just the catalyst to the ... genetic reaction?
"The Noor' is extra-dimensional energy, specific to this dimension where her grandmother comes from. The Noor is all around us, as shown by the Red Daggers' map.
Her ability is to manipulate the Noor.
Kamran can manifest the Noor. But he can't control it.
I think I got it. But my next question would be, "Can she manipulate energy from other dimensions besides the Noor dimension?" (Like the Dark Dimension or the Quantum Realm? Because if she could manipulate all dimensional energies then she'd be very handy to have in a Multiversal War.
