A recap of the panel with Rob Wilkins at The Ineffable Con 4
- About the ending of S2/the kiss: he says that the scene blew his mind. It was not David & Michael but Crowley & Aziraphale. Everyone knew it was one of the most important scenes. There were 3-4 takes but the one we see is the only one that exists. He found the haunting look on Aziraphale’s face really emotional. He also said that he wasn’t prepared for the fandom’s reaction but finds it brilliant. He also said that Aziraphale’s expression meant “do it again”.
- His favourite side characters are Bildad, Mrs. Sandwich, Eric and the Dowlings.
- He was really excited to have David, Peter Davison and Ty on set. He wished he could have had a selfie with all of them.
- He says that Good Omens really is like a family.
- He loves the love and dedication fans show to Good Omens. He’s amazed by people who get tattoos.
- His favourite easter egg is the presence of Terry’s hat and scarf. Also, the copy of Good Omens that Jim is reading from is Rob’s copy.
- About red herrings: there are things in S2 that might become more or not if S3 happens. Rob also said that there are things in S2 we haven’t noticed yet.
- His favourite thing about Crowley and Aziraphale is the fact that they’re a unit.
- He genuinely doesn’t know anything about S3 happening or not but he’s hopeful because the sets are still there in Bathgate.
- He has a record of “Everyday” signed by David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
- He loves Jim and how Jon Hamm just went with it when playing him.
- He bought the S2 Bentley because if they were going to get new a Bentley, it was going to be him buying it
- He showed the license plate which he had right there

Miriam Hopkins (Design For Living, Trouble in Paradise)—miriam hopkins had great range as an actresses, truly a woman who could play a passionate outburst for either dramatic or comedic effect and sell the ever-loving hell out of it. she's wonderful in the witty and sophisticated comedies she made with ernst lubitsch, great examples of movies that could never have been made after the hays code; the frothy musical comedy the smiling lieutenant where she plays a naive princess who accidentally gets betrothed to maurice chevalier, the polyamory classic design for living where she gary cooper and hot vintage shadow king fredric march are a throuple, and the ineffably exquisite comedic masterpiece trouble in paradise in which she and hubert marshall are sexy jewel thieves trying to con sexy rich lady kay francis, but will emotional complications ensue???? watch to find out!!
Dorothy Dandridge (Carmen Jones, Porgy and Bess, Island in the Sun)— The first Black actress to ever be nominated for best actress, Dorothy Dandridge was a groundbreaking actress who deserved better. She started her career as a singer, being put in a song-and-dance duo with her sister by their stage mother, and singing in soundies (I highly recommend cow cow boogie, it's adorable), proto-music videos. She started appearing as a featured singer in films. Her star was on the rise and she soon became a star solo performer. She continued acting, but had limited options because she refused to do stereotypical roles. She finally landed a starring role in Bright Road in 1953, but it was the movie Carmen Jones that truly cemented her as a star and sex symbol. Not to sound cheesy, but she literally sizzles on screen. You can't help but understand how poor Harry Belafonte gets caught in her trap, just look at her. This is the role that got her that Oscar nom. She didn't win cause I mean #OscarsSoWhite, but she was a sensation and continued starring in films, despite troubles in her life (including a shitty director bf who fucked with her career and a traumatizing pregnancy/delivery). Outside of her filmwork, she was also an activist, fighting against racism. She left behind an amazing legacy, and continues to inspire many actresses to this day (including also very hot first (and only) black woman to win best actress, Halle Berry).

Her pre-code films were considered quite risqué, with her part in a thrupple in Design For Living, and some saucy scenes they had to cut from Jekyll and Hyde. She also had a strong career in early television, so good that this queen literally has TWO Hollywood Stars, TWO!! One for TV and one for Film

She toes the line between adorable and sexy, and had the acting chops to back it all up.

Beautiful actress and hand-working and talented singer, she's especially notable for the number of firsts she accomplished such as the first African-American woman to receive a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress and the first African-American woman to appear on the cover of Life magazine.
Dorothy Dandridge was a classic Hollywood triple threat, singing, dancing, and acting with the best of them. She was the first African American nominated for an academy award for Best Actress for her role in Carmen Jones and she was just jaw-droppingly beautiful.

Look at her!!! She is so unbelievably charismatic in Carmen, it’s insane. Her chemistry with Harry Belafonte is off the charts, and every time she puts another outdoor [sic] on it’s like ‘oh god this is a whole new level of stunning’ 🥵. She was so so talented, when she’s on screen I genuinely dare you to tear your eyes away from her. Deserves to be known so much better but due to Hollywood racism and a tough personal life she didn’t make it as big as she should have done. She’s incredible.
First Black actress to be nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress! Was the first choice for the role of Cleopatra that went to Elizabeth Taylor (we were ROBBED).

The thing I really like about Good Omens season 3 is I have literally no idea what to expect.
Like, I'm pretty sure we can expect Jesus, or at least an airplane. I'm fairly certain the ineffable husbands end up together in the end. That is about the end of my expectations.
Will Crowley still hang around the bookshop and befriend Muriel?
Will we find out there's more to Maggie and Nina that meets the eye?
Will we see Adam return, and find out what was in Agnes's second book?
Was season 2 a long con, loaded with clues that we can only hope to piece together in hindsight?
Did Crowley lose Heaven memories, or was he just being cheeky?
What is with Gabriel's cross?! What's with all the discrepancies?!
It's all one big mystery and it sucks we gotta wait sooooo long to see it come to fruition, but also it's very mysterious and full of fun.

I'd like to plan a Good Omens meetup for Saturday October 19th, 2024. Poll below!
The Ineffable Society Meetup is a thought that's brewed in my brain since June 2023 when a bunch of local GO fans chanced to meet for the first time at the King of Prussia PA screening of series 2 episode 1 and 2.
It is time to stop brewing and let others contribute.
Here's my initial thoughts:
I'm willing to organize but not alone. We'll need to work together.
I live near Philadelphia, PA so this is the area I'm willing to do what needs doing primarily in Eastern PA, Central NJ, surrounding areas therein.
I'd want everyone attending to be 18 or older, please. I encourage those 17 and under to organize something together!
Taking suggestions for type of venues to host, think like a family reunion or larger.
I'm not interested in handling money, so would seek at least 2 people to oversee financials if that comes into play. (Finances might be needed to cover renting a space, any printed materials, little swag gifts.)
As mentioned, Saturday October 19th. Because it's close to the Earth's Birthday. :3
Afternoon through evening could be good. Maybe a 3 hour window on the small end; most of the day on the larger end. Will depend on location and on how many helpers step up.
Good Omens related fun: encouraging cosplay, script book readings, discussions, games, swaps. Maybe screening an episode together (there's copyright law to contend with here though). Depending on how much time we have together and space. Simplest plan would be an informal Good Omens afternoon mixer type.
If fewer than 12 people are interested:
We could just meetup at a restaurant that has a function room! (Not super ideal for allergies, as there's probably nowhere that's good for everyone. But does it in a pinch. And would probably not be a big up-front cost. Often there's a small room fee and then the assumption everyone will eat.)
If more than 12 up to 40 people are interested:
We might consider renting some conference rooms at a small hotel. (That does make it easier for people to find accommodations: already there! At a hotel! Downside is this will require chipping in.)
Any more than 40 people and uhhh... We'll figure it out.

I've been a Good Omens fan since June 2019. I run @rareomens. I am a mod for @ineffableeraszine and @bildadzine. I was a mod for the Our Side Zines, Pin Me Up 2, and many more. I was a founding admin for the LGBTQIA+ Fans of Good Omens groups.
I've been part of convention presentations for Good Omens at The Ineffable Con (virtual) and DragonCon (in-person, Atlanta GA). I love to organize fan photoshoots and meetups.
I know that any attempt at gathering people requires a team to make it happen; and that there's pitfalls and perils to all of it, especially when you're dealing with a bunch of possible strangers meeting for the first time! But the end result (you all getting a chance to connect together as fans) is feeling pretty worth it.

A recap of the panel with Peter Anderson Studio at The Ineffable Con 4
- Season 2 opening titles are a direct continuation of the end of Season 1 opening titles.
- All of it is only possible because of Neil Gaiman and Douglas Mackinnon. Peter Anderson says it’s because of “their brillance as creatives and their celebration of each person that they work with. They have a kind of respect for and celebrate, but they also collaborate in the best way possible.”
- Gabriel is hidden in every scene of the title sequence.
- The duck referenced on Mr. Brown’s newspaper (ep. 2) appears in the title sequence too (duck playing the accordion at the front of the stage).
- The indication cards (London, Present Day, Hell, etc) are made for real and then filmed.
- The Scotland hills were made with paper maché. The green and blue tartan is actually a Mackinnon tartan in reference to Douglas Mackinnon.
- The spider and Nazi fly were created for real and then filmed.
- The nebulae we can see at the beginning were chosen because people could relate to them.
- Peter Anderson confirms that there are hints for Season 3 in the Season 2 title sequences.
- It took about 6 months to make the opening titles.
- The symbols in heaven are actual language that can be decoded.
- The planet being born when Aziraphale and Crowley are dancing is just a planet.
- The Adam headstone refers to Adam and Eve.
- The names behind the chairs in the magic show are important. They all connect to different episodes and characters.

hey so idk if you’re audhd but i am and and good omens has sort of created a problem as a hyperfixation because it’s literally the only thing i think about. how. how do you manage to do daily tasks or go to school without turning everything into something about good omens. it sounds funny and it is. but it’s also annoying as fuck but i LOVE talking about good omens so idk what to do 😭

Taking the obcessive edge aside don't see anything wrong with it? So I am sitting in a Good Omens hoodie and check several times social media for Good Omens related news and whenever see some black + white shapes I think of Good Omens and can't wait for the next year's hybrid Ineffable Con... yeah I don't think I am the right person to ask how to less think of Good Omens :D <3, my only advice is to enjoy it and try to incorporate it in life... do you learn a language? Try reading fanfiction in another language (actually that's how I started to learn English in a first place properly - on fanfiction, bc our english teacher sucked), history? A lot of history stuff in Good Omens! You can find friens in GO fandom. Reading both Pratchett and Gaiman will greatly expand your views in all kinds of ways... :) <3, I am sorry if this is the wrong advice for ADHD :(, but this is what I have <3, if it's wrong then ignore me <3.. Context: Shockwave is helping fix up Rumble after they exploded, with Soundwave being a slightly overprotective dad and just overall being worried for Rumble
Revive
Soundwave’s grief was ineffable after injuring one of his cassettes, Rumble. The guilt he felt after making one of his own children explode was still lurking in his mind. Even after attending to so many medics that he can reach or even get. They’re unable to do much more work other than reattach the limbs and get their flickering spark working. At least that’s enough to keep them alive.
Until Shockwave decides to come in. The mad scientist of the decepticons, offered to fix the mini-con. Soundwave was skeptical at first, after all, Shockwave would use corpses or alive bots for experiments and testing, even sometimes manipulating others and backstab them. But when the cyclops said he could try, there was a glint of hope in the communication officer’s processor.
Out of all bots he could’ve fallen over heels for, he fell for this one.
“Here, that should do it” the mad scientist said while attaching a cable that flows energon through to the cassette’s chest.
Frenzy stared at her twin’s lifeless frame for a second before looking over to her caretaker. Having an uneasy feeling about this.
Soundwave wasn’t facing her, but under those glasses he’s gazing at her with a reassuring nod. He has seen Shockwave’s work, reviving others and entire species without a single cluster of dark energon was…extraordinary at least.
After a little. A small familiar coughing can be heard. Soundwave immediately stood up and rushed over to the source, there they were. His little star.
Rumble was cradled in Shockwave’s arms. The mad scientist softly cooed as he carried the ‘revived’ cassette. The other cassettes, in a moment, stood still before dashing to their sibling’s side. Frenzy stood up in the tips of her heels to look over her twin while Lazerbeak landed on Shockwave’s head, peering over to his sibling while Ravage just stood by Soundwave’s side.
Shockwave turns around, giving a full view of the little cassette in his arms.
Only a few minor injuries and a ruined paint-job were visible, but overall, Rumble is fine.
The communication officer almost bursted into tears of joy of seeing his little one alright as he gets his hands on them. Gentling cradling them.
“Thank you..” He softly says while holding Rumble
“My pleasure…Soundwave” Shockwave says with his usual monotone voice. As he looks over to the now-ok cassette.

“I don’t want to see you, again. As long as we’re alive, on this Earth, I don’t want to see you. I don’t want to see the bookshop, or the Ritz. I don’t want to drink wine with you or sit in St James’s. We won’t – don’t see each other. It’s over.”

such a shame, but aziraphale can make do. they’d have to.

iirc they did 3 takes of the kiss (I think Rob said it during a panel at ineffable con in Oct ‘23). They first wanted to do a 360 shot but after they had the takes they were like nope, that’s more than enough. So David & Michael definitely kissed so damn hard everybody was floored. But it is strange that David mentioned people on set were awkward about it. He’s a lovely person and I’ve never heard him talk bad about anyone on a set ever, and I do remember at the ineffable con panel them saying the set was cleared (except for one camera, Neil and Douglas I think, plus the extras walking around outside the windows of course) so I wonder if some crew members were a bit uncomfortable maybe? I hope we get more interviews of them talking about it because I just want them to gush at/about each other, really 🤣😍🤞

The set was cleared, everything spot on, and now he’s talking about people being uncomfortable…? I’m really curious now, tell us more David.

The fact that they had to drop the 360 gives me a little giggle every time.
We are getting so much material lately I hope more Michael/David goodies are coming! Oh I feel that they will have a moment during BAFTAs and I’m ready to laugh my ass off. Or swoon. Could be either with them.

An Ineffable Timeline of costumes:
I had done this previously in separate posts, but I did want to keep the timeline in order (the mess was bugging my brain). Well mostly in order, I had to switch up Golgotha and Land of Uz so that they could fit better.
So, hello again! (or for the first time). I gathered every official source detailing the costumes for s1 and s2. From interviews with Claire Anderson, lead costume designer for season 1 to Kate Carin, lead for season 2.
Some things of course I was not able to put here because there was nothing official confirming or describing the costume choices.
Some extra bits:
Something I did not add here from the X-ray section of GO2, was that Kate Carin mentioned that Aziraphale’s detective look in episode 3 was a sort of “Noir Detective”. But not much else was said about how it came to be, except for the obvious raincoat and hat and case he is carrying.
She also talked about rhinestones being glued to Aziraphale’s magician cape in his act in 1941. But that is a fairly noticeable detail as well (I believe) so I did not add it here.
Some very important things to keep in mind:
Nanny Ashtoreth in the book is never directly alluded to be Crowley. There have been debates about this, and that is why I included in the slide of “Brother Francis” the reply Neil gave addressing exactly that. For the TV show, it was decided that both Nanny/ Brother Francis were going to be Crowley and Aziraphale (radio omens too). For the book, well you can read it/ see by yourself that even though one nanny showed up, it is never said to be Crowley.
I had read some tags previously saying “this is not accurate” “this is not this” etc. so just a gentle reminder that the costume department is not here to make things 100000% accurate. Claire Anderson and Kate Carin both had the creative freedom to craft attires and make them believable for the time period. I collected all the sources (below) if you want to read them yourself. This is about experimenting and giving it credibility without it being down to a T.

I won’t write: Male!/nonbinary!/trans!reader (im a cis female so I will write gender neutral reader if requested, but most fics (unless specified) were written with a fem reader in mind :)), incest, underage reader (or character), dub/non-con
