if Blue Sargent is half tree-person and Ronan Lynch is a sentient forest does that make them kin? Tree cousins? Forest family?

Tamquam,’ said Adam.
'Wait,’ said Ronan.
'Tamquam,’ he said again, gently.

The Lace is a symbol of Ronan’s all-encompassing depression and self-hatred right?
Because I find it reminiscent of the Night Horrors and Nightwash, which I always saw as the physical embodiment of Ronan’s tendency to lash out and self-destruct as a result of his depression and self-hatred.
The Lace happens to be both self-destructive and destructive in general, which I think represents the fact that Ronan’s depression and self-hatred is no longer manageable and that he’s already turned so far inward that the only place left to go is out.
But then I don’t know how that connects to the Lace affecting other dreamers…
Am I reading too much into this? Or am I just staying the obvious?
