Not sure who is planning to participate, but I figured I'd start this thread to talk about it and share info for anyone that is playing.

Thinking about how much more fitting it would be if the members of the Moon Court had night aesthetic noun names to rival the Sun Court's instead of just vaguely fantasy-sounding aesthetic names, and what Kieran might be called then, because imo, "black-haired" as the meaning behind their name isn't really as interesting.
So then you've got Radiance, Gleam, Brightness, Blaze, etc. for the Sun Court, and then the Moon Court would get names like Nox, Twilight, Crescent, and Nocturn, etc.
Anyway, hereby proposing we rename Kieran, Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way.

kieran x elam for @lilyoffandoms for the @choicesfandomappreciation 2024 secret admirer event ❤️
apologies for the delay, i wanted to get this done by valentines but it would not cooperate with me😭 i had so much fun doing this, i hope you like it!! this is actually the third of concepts i tried doing, so more on that + timelapse under the cut for those interested (: (and yes, this is based off of one of the iconic scenes from howl's moving castle.)
i wanted to do something that really captured " warm softness to the cold hard edges" and i thought of maybe drawing a scene where elam realizes the beast is kieran. kieran's monster complex is a big part of their character and mc loving and embracing that part, the warmth to kieran's "monster", loving them despite and maybe even for it, was something i always liked about their dynamic. so that was the first draft but i wasnt feeling it and i couldnt figure out the drawing so i scrapped it HGJDHFKGHD
then i tried a second version where they're in a garden and elam gives kieran flowers, but idk, it just didn't fit?? heres the abandoned wip of it anyway OTL
while drawing and conceptualizing i kept thinking about what TCH reminded me of. the most obvious (and relevant, i think) is acotar, but then i remembered miyazaki's howl's moving castle, which is so much more like TCH than anything. so i wanted to do something with elam's hand over kieran's heart but it just did not work out (as you'll see in the timelapse), so i ended up with something more like a screenshot redraw of one of the iconic scenes in the movie:

it’s so endlessly funny to me that PB marketed The Cursed Heart as a dark fae BDSM romance which like. I guess? applies to a handful of diamond scenes. but for the most part the book is just MC and Kieran constantly fighting for and swearing their eternal love for each other while the rest of the fae realm tries to tear them apart. like they very clearly can not live without each other. their souls are one and the same. they love each other even though they know their romance can’t last. they’re both down so bad and it’s the sappiest, most romantic fairytale ever, not the oh so dark Surrender-but-fantasy romance it was marketed as, and I devoured it!!!
