🦂DEMON FORMS: ASMODEUS 💄
AN: Unfortunately, the concept of hypnosis is a major theme for my OCD so I can't really write him as creepy as I want to. Alas, I tried. Fucked up Asmo supremacy. also I was tryna keep this sfw in terms of *spicy* content bc thats for a different post hehehe. ● Level 1.5. you know, in the Percy Jackson books, how Aphrodite appears as whatever you think is most beautiful? Asmo is kinda like that. Not fully, but if you are more attracted to say, dark hair, he will have darker hair. (Cute note: if you fall in love with him for realsies, this stops happening, and you just see. Him.) Like Belphie, he is alot more… mental with how he freaks people out. Even without hypnotism, if he asks you to do something, you feel like you want to agree. Only Asmo can make you think taking out the garbage when it's his turn is YOUR idea. He glows under blacklights because… scorpion. His teeth look normal from a distance, but up close, you can see how sharp they are. His eyes shift through every possible color, changing each time he blinks. His pupils are heart shaped. He gets cold really easily and will make it everyone's problem.
"MC! I'm going to freeze to death, please, save me!" The overly dramatic Avatar of Lust drapes himself across your lap, intent of using you as a personal space heater. Nights in the Devildom just get so cold! His poor, beautiful heart can't handle the subzero temperatures! And of course the last argument between Levi and Mammon managed to complete destroy the heating system. So it's your solemn duty as Asmo's favorite human (don't tell Solomon) to keep him warm!
● Level 2. His nails get longer and sharper, and even when talking, it sounds like he's singing. If he actually starts singing, you will find yourself dancing or lulled into a false sense of security depending on the song. He actually caused the dancing plague this way! He is capable of using his carapace as a sort of natural corset, controlling each segment to give himself the desired silhouette. Somehow, Asmo is wonderful at knowing exactly what you desire. Not just in a sexual way, he can figure out your ambitions after one conversation. If he decides to talk to you, everything else will kind of...fade away. How can you focus on anything when his eyes fade from pink to purple to blue... What were you talking about again?
Asmo thought the house was empty, that it was safe for him to sing without consequence. Unfortunately, you came home early, which led to the awkward incident where you began dancing the moment you walked inside. At first, you thought you were hit by some curse, screaming in surprise as your body moves on its own. Hearing your shrieks, Asmo rushes downstairs, fussing over you. Luckily, you weren't under his spell long, so when he stopped singing, you stopped dancing. He was very apologetic after that.
● Level 3. He grows several extra limbs on his sides. They are small little insect legs that are basically useless. He likes to annoy his brothers by tickling them with his weird lil bug arms. But otherwise, Asmo is EXTREMELY self conscious about them because bugs aren't stereotypically cute. He can keep his wings bc they are cute. BUT HE ALSO HAS A SCORPION TAIL. The stinger is heart-shaped. It's adorable. It also has venom capable of making you so horny you die! Which is... slightly less adorable.
It was quite the sight, seeing Asmo, shirtless with several small arachnid limbs, covered in a hard exoskeleton as he chases Satan around the house, claiming he needs to be less grumpy. Satan threw a pillow at his brother, causing you to laugh. Bad move. Now Asmo has locked his eyes on his next target. You.
● Level 4. You know how so many Greek monsters are giant creatures with the face of a beautiful woman? That's Asmo. He has the body of a scorpion-if a scorpion was the size of a horse - and face so gorgeous, you might cry or go blind. He sings so sweetly to lure in prey. Basically, he's a siren-scorpion monster from hell! He usually won't take this form because, honestly, he thinks it's ugly. So for the most part you are only going to see a scorpion with Asmo's face scuttling around if he is feeling particularly emotional. Like when he gets a little bit too tipsy and his insecurities plague his mind.
It was rare Asmo would get properly drunk. At least the type of drunk where he is miserable. Usually it's a very... drunk girl in the club bathroom who just LOOOVES your shoes and wants to know who did your eyelash extensions 🥺 sort of energy. So hearing straight up wailing from his room after a long night at the Fall was...unexpected. What was even more surprising, was what you found when you opened his door to try and comfort the demon. A large scorpion with the head of the Avatar of Lust, standing in front of a broken mirror with mascara streaming down his face. You only hesitate a moment before making your presence known. Asmo starts to cry more, sobbing about how terrible he feels having you see him like this. In the form that he considers the definition of ugly. You are quick to reassure him, naming each thing you find beautiful about his more demonic looking self. Like the way his armored body catches the light, reflecting rainbows across each segment. Or how his stinger is heart shaped. Or the fact that even without proper hands, his hair and makeup is still flawless. Aside from minor damage due to his tears. Soon enough, you have a giant scorpion sleeping on your lap like an overgrown cat. You decide not to mention it in the morning.

Schneider Snippets from the Atlas
Vertin’s responses to the narrator are in italics. Let me know if I missed anything. This is a long post and it looked nicer in my Google Docs. If anyone has suggestions on how to format this into a way that's easier to read, I am all ears. Spoilers for Ch 2 & 3. My dumb little notes are in purple and are not part of the main text.
The Opportunist and the Sticky Gum
Source: 2-1 Wretched Brats
Now those little brats are knocked out. You Notice that old gum is sticking to the bottom of their shoes, like crushed leeches.
What happened to the gum?
Tragedy. A sympathetic encounter. It has fulfilled its mission cautiously and conscientiously. But clearly no one cares.
I dare say it's the most popular mint gum now. When the Chicagoans lost their rights to get drunk, they could only turn to this nasty upstart stuff. The sales champion is the bubble gum near Wrigley Field. The old gum from the kid's soles also comes from there.
Some gravel mixed into the squeezed gum base. The off-white sand. The synthetic waxed elastic fiber. In the South Bank, there is only one place where such a politically symbolic floor is laid–St. Pavlov Foundation.
It's very lively here in the square, just like every day in the past. Speculators, who advocate mankind supremacy, are trying to get the attention of the Foundation through demonstrations. They are on the same side as the Foundation, but the Foundation has no intention to treat these protestors as allies they want. They even sent a little girl to go through the motions as a perfunctory response. (this “little girl” is Sonetto.)
Little girls? An excellent topic. (Vertin, this is not how we behave.)
Yes. Yes. No one will ignore them. They are honey colored. They are the morning sun in California. They are the dazzling spot on the doe that you'll never catch. For those hypocritical politicians the little girls are the delicacies that they would drool over (ew). Luckily, this little girl is not one of their prey. She is nervous but not panicked. She doesn't seem to be good at dealing with these slick politicians. The mission capsule of the Foundation grew hot in her tightly clutched fist.
And on the other side of the square, another little girl in a black suit is looking gloomily over here. She stood by the Foundation's air outlet, the best place for her. The position is too marginal to be marginalized. That's the best portrayal of the second generation immigrants in the 20th century. (This is Schneider.)
Who is the girl in the black suit?
She's someone you will know in the future. Now she shudders and shivers like a cricket desperate for shelter. She's looking for an eave or piece of rubble in the Storm.
Her figure might be frail, but her eyes are filled with cold anger. Maybe she had been rejected just now or even insulted. She walked up to the square center with a firm step, like a warrior.
This snippet in the beginning foreshadows so much of the story it's insane looking back.
From One Castle to Another

Mrs. Greco puts down the phone. She is now as calm as any Italian mother you've ever met. You know, they're usually making a yummy pie before they pull out their guns.
There are enough people in black outside, enough to prevent any eavesdropping or violent conflict.
Mrs. Greco glanced blandly over the one, two, three, four ... nine, ten, eleven children in front of her. This is a big family, and it has grown bigger and
bigger over the past few years because of Schneider.
Who are they?
They're Schneider's sisters. It's hard for the Grecos to tell them apart. But Schneider is different. She was born in an earthquake, all covered in blood, and didn't let out her first cry until two hours later. It wasn't until she was one year old that her father noticed that she had never been baptized.
The Grecos are not good at dealing with gang affairs. They can't even figure out when their daughter has grown-- grown into the backbone of the whole family.
When Schneider took out 500 dollars from her pocket and put them on the table, they were completely shocked, and that's just the beginning. Schneider... Schneider, the youngest daughter they seldom cared about. It's impossible to keep every child well-fed. Schneider could not even get a piece of bread in the Eucharist.
But a good daughter would not let anyone worry about her. She sat on the bench outside the church and hummed. She found a way out for herself. She walked to the underground market, fascinated by what she saw ...She announced her "new identity" one day.
What "new identity"?
The identity you know now. In the process, she lost something old but gained something new, no matter if she wished for it or not.
"Now," Mrs. Greco said, "we live, or we die. If Schneider comes back safely tonight... we will leave when the moon rises. The doors are closing in front of us, one after another. But the benevolent Maria will give us the ultimate shelter. My children, remember today forever." Her words speak for her status. But Mrs. Greco's eyes never moved away from that small Madonna on the table. The hem of her clothes were soaked in tears. 4 p.m. A family is determined to start a new journey.

Fine. Let's start the bullshit.
I will never be offended by your humor. Okay. The past is waiting for us to look back. It's winter in the early 20th century. The gloomy rain never stops. The square on West Jackson Avenue is alive with people. There is an Italian Renaissance-styled basilica. You rarely see so many people get together without making a sound. This is a black requiem mass. The priest is chanting the requiem, and the people mark a cross on their chests.
He must be respectable.
"He was a father. He dedicated to a sinner of ... Lord shall give him eternal peace." A woman in a black robe turns to you and whispers. She turns back. Explaining this makes her unpleased. More and more people are queuing for the funeral. The square is alive with chants here and there. The Grecos are among them. They're covered by the dark cloud of long- handled umbrellas. Soon, their voices are replaced by whimpers. You can hardly tell whether they are pleased or sorrowful. But you can't find Schneider. (This part in purple was written like that in the Atlas. Its clunky as heck. Idk what they were trying to say.)
Where is she?
Look in the direction of Mr. Greco's broken left palm. Yes. Look from the bandage-wrapped end at his cuff. 3390 feet away from the crowd, in the shadow of the church, stands the girl you want to see. She is pale and thin, as if she has just recovered from a serious, long illness. But her fist clenches, her eyes burn, and her figure is an open defiance of the ubiquitous chants. You don't know why she looks so-so furious. Is she... what, 11 years old? And the mass is about to usher in the ultimate climax. It rains heavier. The priest opens his arms to embrace the sky, "The Lord be with you."
"And also with you." Schneider responds in a voice that could hardly be heard. She puts her hand on her heart. This is the first time she responds to the Lord. And it will be the last.

2. Did you reread anything? What?

3. What were your top five books of the year?
The Great Soul of Siberia (2015) by Sooyong Park -- I need to read more wildlife books (and it is a genre I love that ended up getting overshadowed by LGBT books this year) BUT STILL, in my humble opinion, The Great Soul of Siberia should be considered one of the best wildlife books of all time. This book is about a tiger researcher who spends six months a year in an underground bunker watching tigers. He also maintains a close relationship with the indigenous Ussuri people who consider the tiger central to their culture. From personal observation and conversations with the Ussuri, Park is able to depict an incredibly intimate look at the forest's tigers and is able to illuminate their intelligence and individualism without ever veering into anthropomorphism. And oh my god, these tigers are so smart. They know how to dismantle traps from behind and they teach their cubs how to do it! To me, The Great of Soul of Siberia is the gold standard of wildlife books not only because of the beautiful, illustrative prose and intense amount of research, but because Park pays great attention to the Ussuri and links their survival as intrinsic to the survival of the tigers. I measure every wildlife book I read to The Great Soul of Siberia to assess if I'm reading imperialist propaganda or not.
The Color Purple (1982) by Alice Walker -- This is the perfect book. It's almost hard to know what to say about it in a paragraph because it's such a sweeping vision and I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet -- not in term of plot events but in terms of the breadth of the book's worldview. And truly, Alice Walker is a singular talent -- who else, in 1982, could write a book with a central lesbian love story and have that book become so influential, so widely beloved? In 1982, the world embraced a book about how Black women loving each other (both romantically and platonically) is how they free themselves from the mental prisons constructed by white supremacy, patriarchy and Christianity? Fuck, man.
Sarah Schulman non-fiction (notably, Conflict is Not Abuse, Israel/Palestine and the Queer International, Gentrification of the Mind and Let the Record Show) - Rocked my shit and helped me understand the assimilationst and pathetic state of the LGBT movement today. But also helped me understand the depth's of the LGBT movement's radical roots. Conflict is Not Abuse is startlingly good at breaking down conflicts, to the point where it's my framework for any conflict I experience in my day-to-day life. Absolutely invaluable.
Honorable mentions: Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin, A Fragile Union by Joan Nestle, Oedipus in Brooklyn and Other Stories by Blume Lempel, The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison, Skin: Talking Sex, Class and Literature by Dorthy Allison, Bastard Out Of Carolina by Dorthy Allison, Zami: A New Spelling of My Name by Audre Lorde, The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions by Larry MItchell and Ned Asta, In Search of Our Mother's Garden (1983) by Alice Walker, Women, Race, & Class by Angela Y. Davis, H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald, The Living is Easy by Dorthy West and Shubeik Lubeik by Deena Mohamed [I took so long answering this because I couldn't choose my top five books. Eventually decided to just list out additional favorites.]
13. What were your least favorite books of the year?
Moby Dyke: An Obsessive Quest to Track Down the Last Remaining Lesbian Bars in America (2023) by Krista Burton -- I read this book all the way through because I have an interest in rebuilding lesbian spaces. But oh my god, this book sucked so much. Burton has no curiosity, no critical eye and a very poor sense of history. Lesbian bars are an important part of lesbian history, but Burton doesn't spend much time trying to learn about the history of bars -- she chooses to only write what she can actively find out in the nights she visits the bars. AND she often doesn't approach patrons or workers because she's "testing" how friendly the bars are. So essentially, each chapter is like an extended Yelp review. This is exemplified by how when in New York, she mentions that she wanted to visit the Lesbian Herstory Archive (she says she loves the name because it "sounds like a SNL sketch"), but didn't get the chance too. Burton viewing the LHA as a tourist site with a silly name and not a long-standing lesbian institution that could have served her in a vital resource in researching shows her really shows the level of historical commitment that went into this book. Burton also has an annoying white millennial quirk of wanting to undermine her own authority and being over-conscious of her oversights as a white woman in a completely unhelpful way. At one point, her friend takes her to the piers that were featured in Paris is Burning. Burton admits to never having seen Paris is Burning and then in aside to the audience, writes "I know! I'm sorry!" I don't understand why you would be writing a book about queer spaces, admit to never watching Paris is Burning, and then overapologize. Every fucking chapter Burton proves herself someone not worth listening to. I could go on about how bad this book was but this has already run on pretty long.
Among Tigers (2022) by K. Ullas Karanth -- I loved The Great Soul of Siberia so much that I immediately chose to read another book about tigers. Among Tigers is written by one of the Indian government's leading tiger conservationists. At the time I read this book (early in the year), I admittedly did not have a strong working knowledge of the ways conversation ideology is used to displace indigenous people. Among Tigers did help me understand racist/anti-indigenous conservation ideology better. Because it was so anti-indigenous. Karanth insists that driving indigenous people out of their homes is necessary to bolster the tiger population. He characterizes the indigenous people he works with as cowardly and lazy. It was jarring to read Among Tigers after reading The Great Soul of Siberia because Park treats the indigenous people in the area in which he studied the tigers with so much respect whereas Karanth treated them essentially as pests. As a direct result, The Great Soul of Siberia is a better book about tigers than Among Tigers, precisely because Park draws so much from indigenous knowledge about the tigers. He listens to the people who actually do live among the tigers and know them intimately. Karanth's tigers are just scientific subjects. So this book is both racist and boring.
The School for Good Mothers (2022) by Jessamine Chan -- When I started this book, I thought it was clever that it was written in present tense and things like a court scene would take place in past tense to show the inevitability of the painful result -- like the author didn't need to bother to put suspense into the court scenes because they were always going to rule against the mother. But, this trick would've been better used sparingly. I got tired of every single major moment of the book being written in past tense and not as it was happening. I also found that Chan could not square the gender dynamics she wanted to talk about with racial dynamics effecting racial minorities she isn't part of. The book is about a carceral system that institutionalizes mothers who were "bad" in some way and trains them to be good. Eventually it is revealed that there is also a school for bad fathers. The school for bad fathers is more disproportionately Black and brown men then the school for bad mothers. However, all the dads end up getting custody of their kids and if I remember correctly, none of the mothers do. Chan clearly wanted to comment on the double standards of what is tolerated for mothers and fathers. But to me, this ending just erased the way the state uses supposed concern for child welfare and incarceration to break up Black and brown families -- I don't believe that any of these Black dads would get their kids back in the world Chan set up and it annoyed me that Chan recognized the inflated incarceration of Black and brown men but defaulted to a simplistic "men are judged less harshly than women" approach by the end. Disappointing read.
Spellbound by Bishakh Som -Interesting way to do a trans narrative but reading about the author's life as a diplomat's kid bored me to death.
Little Fish (2018) by Casey Plett -- idk I just didn't like this one "¯\_(ツ)_/¯
19. Did you use your library?
Yes!!! This year I started a mind-numbingly boring receptionist job. I work in a university, at the financial aid office. My job makes me feel like human AI, because I answer the same things over and over, and more often than not, due to federal regulations (or my coworkers, the financial aid counselors not wanting to go above the bare minimum to help a student out), I'm not able to actually help students who need funding. But, my job is to answer emails and phone calls and assist walk-in students. Especially during non-peak periods, that is not eight hours of work. Very quickly after I started, I realized that in my "free time" I could read ebooks through the library without being bothered about it. I'm so thankful to the library because it keeps my world big and interesting. I think to not be properly stimulated for eight hours (especially in an environment like the financial aid office where the boring work you're doing is a for a particularly pernicious institution) is bad for people. My coworkers are all petty people, but I feel like the constraints of the job (understimulating + being the face of the shitty student aid system w/o any power to actually help students financially due to being bound by federal guidelines) shapes them into that. The library protect me from BECOMING my job and I love it very much for that. Thank you public library. Also yes, I am looking for a new job. Thankful for the ability to read so much but oh my god, the environment there is so fucking bad.

I didn't like how they dressed the Monster High characters for the upcoming movies... so I re-did it xD
Disclaimer; this is just my opinion, and I've never made a clothes collection whatever-they're-called post, soeh... bear with me. I also didn't do everyone, just the ones I though could be improved upon the most! The movie will premiere on Nickelodeon, do I understand they couldn't make the characters as edgy as in the cartoon (they could, but we can't have nice things) - anyway, take this with a grain of salt!
Frankie Stein
I like how they made Frankie preppy, but they also looks a bit... boring? The dress or whatever it is seem a bit plain - I'd split it up between a plaid skirt and a plain, white blouse, and from thereon use accessories and the likes of that to make it more interesting. I chose carefully so nothing would clash with the skirt, and like in the show, Frankie's accessories are silver and metallic.
I though the tights were a bit too much - I understand they can't be too "sexy" for kids' TV, but they also look a bit clunky. I replaced them with thinner tights that doesn't look like they were ripped on purpose.
Draculaura
A key feature of Draculaura's is that she's cute and romantic, and I don't really think that's reflected in her movie-costume. She looks too much like Frankie, preppy, and not like she's 1600 years old.
In the show, she wears a lot of Victorian-inspired clothing, so I chose a poofy Lolita skirt and a pink blouse to go with it. I figured a charm bracelet would suit her, plus a bat-backpack. She has a lot of heart-imagery in her design, so I added heart earrings.
Cleo DeNile
I kind of like Cleo's outfit, but not for an Egyptian princess. Cleo's over the top, so I chose her outfit exclusively in gold and marine colors. She wears a lot of jewelry, most of which is probably amulets and other magic trinkets for protection and all that...
I was worried the excessive amounts of gold would be too much, but both the boots, the shawl, and the hair piece(?) is a deep blue - I think this would make a nice balance.
Clawdeen Wolf
I think Clawdeen's outfit was the one I minded the least, but it still didn't feel quite like her. I put her in a similar dark, purple outfit, but I chose a more emo-like skirt and some more daring jewelry and shoes.
I wanted to put her in a fur jacket, but I just didn't like any of the ones found, so I opted for a leather jacket instead - I also figured that'd be good for hunting.
Lagoona Blue
I'll be honest, I'm not suuuper hooked on the outfit I ended up with, but I think it'd be better with a blue skin tone (why is she not blue when almost everyone else gets a color??). The bracelet is Australian opals and reminds me of the ocean - I think she'd look at it when she feels homesick.
I never liked Lagoona's shoes, so I chose some more practical sneakers for her that she could actually run in. The flowers are hair-clips, which I think'd look great in big, curly, blonde hair. I also think she'd wear her jacket tied around her wait most of the time, unless it was really sunny and she worried about drying out.
Deuce Gorgon
I took this as an opportunity to completely re-design Deuce's outfit. White tank-top, leather pants, and a snakey-green leather jacket - couldn't you just imagine it?! I wanted the snake imagery to be there, but more subtle - I would love a more edgy take on Deuce where he tries to handle how he feels about his abilities; a part of his heritage, and yet, a curse...
So I ended up with a snake ring and dark glasses with snake handles (whyyyy is his live-action glasses not tinted?). I also added a red bracelet, which, in a movie-setting, I would prefer to have Greek-inspired imagery, but hey... It's a nod to the red accents of his cartoon outfit.

Doki career thoughts: Slightly Different Edition
Sayori: School Therapist. She's known deep sadness all her life, and wants to make sure that the students know that someone is there to help them, even if they feel like they have to support themselves alone.
Natsuki: Owns a small bakery. Her choice to sell mostly pastries with bright pastel colors, especially pink\purple\green\blue, has made her surprisingly popular with communities in the city that really respect proud self-expression. June is very busy for her ;).
Yuri: Metalworker/Forge artist. Her hobby of knife collecting expanded into actually creating them, which then became a general enjoyment of keeping her hands busy with the process of forging metal and creating iron sculptures. She's actually a pretty popular target for commissioners who need small-scale metal pieces for display purposes.
Monika: Librarian. Literature and poetry have always been a fantastic outlet for her feelings and creativity, and a library gives her the most power to help people find their own ways to express themselves. She, of course, runs a public literature club in the library itself.
Woahhh I love this!
Therapist Sayori is a great take, especially like School Councilor! Absolutely 100% her vibe to be there for people in the same position she was in and making sure they don't have to go through what she did.

Ooo metalworker Yuri??? That's so original! I don't think I've ever heard that one?? Love the idea there! Could be really interesting to see that play out :o
Librarian Monika! I love seeing Monika work with literature, librarian totally fits! I think she'd 100% host public literature clubs at the library that discuss different subjects like poetry, narrative, etc.

to start, Ruby just has that energy you know? like a strong presence and I like that about her. you can really see that represented in her posts. i love, love, love the way she writes. i feel like it really reflects her character and personality.

i’d give them this color solely based off of the few times we’ve interacted 😭 and what i’ve seen through their posts. they seem to have a lot of confidence (more than me at least - so i may be wrong) but with every post there’s this excitement that’s good when reading a fic. it’s something that can draw people in, you know?

The new Patrick Show Episode Which Witch Is Which? Really gave me everything I could ever want.
Aside from the obvious of giving me 3 other slappys (Slappy-Agnes isn't pictured here)
We have og Slappy (Slappy Laszlo), Slappy-Patrick, Slappy-Cecil and (not pictured) above Slappy-Agnes.
I particularly like Slappy-Cecil. Brown hair looks adorable on Slapzo. He kinda reminds me of Slappy the dummy from goosebumps though. Specifically the red tie and brown hair.
Something about it is very jarring. I LOVE IT
There's also Slappy-Patrick but he's just there. I mean I'd still lock him in my basement and feed him worms but he's the least interesting of the two (I like this specific frame of him though. The one on the right)
One thing I really love about Slappy is that he can look absolutely adorable and absolutely jarring at the same time.
This looks cute but it also reminds me too much of old man Lorre and that bothers me. I am suddenly painfully aware of the facr that he does not have a nose. I just looooove how in the previous episode he looks so squish and cute while here he looks like a sinus infection.
Oh also Slappy-Agnes supremacy!!! He? She? Is purple!!!! The colors are so pleasing to me.
Also this episode implies Slappy is not born but made with witchcraft! He is the cutest unholy being ever <3 I know what I'm doing this Friday night. I need my very own sweet little sinus infection <3

shukasa is a ship between Tsukasa Suou of Knights and Shu Itsuki of Valkyrie
why does this ship exist? you ask yet again. I stare into your eyes

1. “what is your favorite color to work with?”
— red is rlly good i like red!!! both my first and my last (so far) art here are very red so… idk it’s just a v good colour to work with it looks good in all shades and hues and whatnot (unlike some other colours… lookin at you, yellow…) purple’s a close second though i love shading with purple!!!
2. “what song(s) do you listen to when you do art?”
— i am literally so insane over bags by clairo… you don’t even understand… i close my eyes and i see the album cover, i hear this playing in my mind at all time, instead of actual sentences forming my thoughts it’s just this song’s lyrics in various orders, i eat, sleep, breathe, LIVE this song. it is such an integral part of my identity. i have been listening to this song for hours on end. it feels weird when i don’t have it playing in the background now. every time i hear it i can feel the holy spirit of clairo herself enter my body and start controlling my very thoughts, guiding me to create beautiful art that can’t even compare to the things i make when not listening to the complete masterpiece that is bags by clairo. (feel free to make this a copypasta)
that being said, i’ve recently been pretty into softly by clairo so i’d probably say that lol /j

— honestly all tbhk artists inspire me so it’d take too long to tag them all (and i don’t wanna bother too many of them anyways), but the biggest has gotta be @mari-lair !! *grips you by the shoulders and shakes you* aka makes me so completely normal… i’d write an entire paragraph’s worth of how insane i am over aka and your clock is ticking, however i’ve already done that… several times… and dedicated over 55 hours combined making not one but two drawings of him using literally every ounce of talent i have… and accurately predicted who killed him… and made an entire tag dedicated to documenting all the times i’m insane over him… and read the fic over 25 times… to put it shortly, i think i’ve made it pretty clear that it’s literally my favourite au of all time ever… it isn’t just that au too, her art is just so good in general yk!!! i cannot act like a normally functioning human being around her art, i physically need to write an entire essay’s worth of tags just rambling on and on about how good it is every single time she posts!!! my favourite part of her art’s gotta be the colours— or no, the poses— or no, the expressions— actually, i think i just absolutely adore every single part of her drawings… i am one of, if not THE biggest fan of this artist, i will reblog all of her art over and over again and nobody can stop me!! honestly, i think i would die (but in a good way) if she followed me back… in conclusion, i believe in mari-lair supremacy <3 ( said i wouldn’t write an entire paragraph about how much i love her au, but i just ended up writing an entire paragraph about i love her art in general… ah well, too late now i guess!!)
