Finally finished the update for the third Kravchenko siblings, the baby of the family! For his style, I ended up looking for inspiration from the gorgeous Polish traditional patterns, given the family surname/the fact in the OG story long ago with just Kaspian and Sebastian, the boys were polish. (Seriously they're really amazing to look at, also kind of familiar feeling, given Finnish traditional patterns share similarities.)
OFC I had to simplify a LOT to make sure its something I can accurately recreate more than once lol, the more fancy, intricate things are better left for one-off pieces.
Also had to include stuff from the Trickster brand (something existing in-world) because Janus's bro is a designer for it lol
Bio below:
Age: 17
Nicknames: Jan(Marco & Ichirou), Grump (his aunt) baby brother/baby bro (Kaspian & Sebastian)
Family: Older twin brothers Sebastian and Kaspian, estranged parents, aunt Amalia Marek
Friends: Ichirou Araknos & Marco Aquila (Classmates) Clover Belmont (Ichirou's friend/honorary older brother)
Love interest: Marco Aquila
Occupation: A high school student/home-schooled at times due to his health
A Summoner mage teenager with wyvern siblings and poor health, combined with very strong magic potential
Abilities:
As a Summoner, Janus is able to bring things to him, be it objects or people. He can for example, use his power to find a missing object, or quickly bring a friend or a family member to him.
He can in theory, command the beings he has summoned, though typically that requires bargaining or pre-existing arrangement. Janus is already quite the good negotiator though, something people tend to make a note of given his age.
He is also able to undo someone else's summon, though it depends on how strong the other summoner is/how powerful what they summoned is.
He has some pyrokinetic abilities and can utilize fire magic thanks to his wyvern heritage. He is also largely fireproof
Janus can learn things incredibly fast, and is also quick in processing new information, which makes him work pretty well even under great pressure.
Personality:
Janus often comes off like he's mentally older than his peers, where he tends to be very calm and controlled most of the time, bordering on always serious/a killjoy according to those who don't know him.
This is of course not true at all; Janus just happens to struggle with socializing and is socially awkward, preferring not to say much if he feels uncomfortable/doesn't know what to say. He also generally prefers not chattering about surface level things, finding such conversations boring. Get him to talk about things he does like, and it'll be a very passionate and in-depth discussion. He's also very attentive listener regardless of the topic if he's speaking with somebody he likes.
As a teenager he does in fact have a bit of a temper, and is actually quite emotional beneath the seemingly calm surface. He gets very easily upset and frustrated when he's struggling to do something, and he also hates it when people try to tell him what to do, to a fault. He gets easily flustered when he feels out-of-control or generally out of his element, to the point he'll physically remove himself from the situation via running away randomly.
Anytime he acts more childlike/more typical for his age, it tends to surprise those who don't know him, as he's mainly seen as overtly mature.
Weaknesses:
Because he is still only a beginner mage, he can't always control what he summons, and may end up summoning the wrong thing, which is fine if he gets a ruler instead of a pen, but a bit worse if he meant to summon a fairy and ends up with a demon instead....
He has some self-esteem issues due to his social awkwardness, and because of his temper he tends to handle negative reactions poorly, getting defensive or even aggressive sometimes due to his dragonic heritage.
He struggles to control his fire somewhat, and has managed to burn a thing or two accidentally, mostly his aunt's stuff. (She doesn't mind too much to be fair, she does the same thing occasionally anyway) This tends to upset him greatly, and he hates how he's so bad at using his fire, often feeling jealous over his brothers.
Janus' immune system is not the greatest, and he tends to get sick a lot, hence he often studies from home instead. This doesn't exactly help him with his social awkwardness
Due to his albinism, he tends to get sunburns easily, and thus is not fond of sunny weather.
Fun Facts
He is short, only around 157 cm tall
Since Janus is fully human in physical form and has no Wyvern transformation, the family albinism ended up affecting him much more, making him full albino.
Where Janus mostly refrains from drawing attention to himself most of the time, once he does get mad he tends to argue very loudly, and most people actually find him far scarier than even his two dragon brothers at that point, given you can't know what kind of monster he could summon and throw at you. (Or worse, he could summon your mum.)
Janus has summoned people he knows as more of a typical "summoned for combat" thing rather than just to ask them something/invite them for hangout. Namely, Ichirou's uncle/adoptive father Jurou.
This kind of summoning is different from the more casual ones, as instead of being something akin to a magical video call almost, he is essentially requesting permission to command the summoned entity.
He can just make the summoned being do what he wants, but that tends to only work with non-sapient beings, basically full on animals as they have weaker minds. With anything with more intelligence a bargain is needed.
Janus likes cuddling next to Marco when they hang out, because he's a very warm boi and Janus gets cold easily.
Janus does bicker with his boyfriend sometimes, namely because of the whole introvert vs extrovert thing. They do clash occasionally, but its never anything serious.
Kas and Sebastian often tease him - as big brothers do - and if he gets annoyed enough Janus will summon a book or other heavy object to drop on their heads. (Kaspian always gets hit, Sebastian always manages to dodge)

i just can't believe that oda fucking create sanji, a stereotypical ladies man who simps to an embarrassing degree for women while having his hackles comically raised around everyone he perceives as a man - and most notably butting heads with the more obvious ~manly man~ of the crew. haha, classic anime running gag, the kind that gets obnoxious at times but still makes you laugh.
AND THEN, like a billion chapters later, motherfucker steeples his fingers and goes "soooooooo... what makes a person Like That?"
and the answer is that he grew up in fucking Toxic Masculinity, The Kingdom. the answer is that he was always Different, in a way other guys instinctively perceived as weak, and that made him the target of visceral scorn and violence. the answer is that he was sensitive, sweet, caring, nurturing - feminine-coded traits which are only valued by patriarchy insofar that they're performed by women in service of men. the answer is that in a kingdom comprised almost entirely by violent men, the only ones who were ever kind to him, the only safety he ever had, were a girl and a woman.
so cooking is for women and servants, it makes you less of a man. only women will ever really value you for your passions and dreams. women are also actively hurt by the way the world works, they are unsafe unless they comply with men's violence, and you have to protect them.
(men will always know what you are, and they will hurt you if you let them.)
and even after he leaves... at baratie he is cherished and respected, but even that is an extremely masculine environment. we don't talk about our feelings, we don't let our guard down, the only love is tough love. when he tries to express his artistry and express himself through his cooking, rather than just filling orders and making money, he gets mocked.
so here is a man who will not raise a hand to a woman, because he rejects the masculinity he was raised with and refuses to become yet another man subjecting women to violence. he is desperate for women's attention and affection because it's SAFE, it's the only kind he can trust. other men are potential threats and must be treated as such. he must at all times be snarky, tough, Not Feminine, because to be perceived otherwise is to be powerless, to be hurt.
like y'all. the queer coding of it all? the overtly feminist themes? the active rejection of toxic masculinity and the way it's shown to be directly tied to imperialism? what the fuck.
