It makes me sad how mlm ships have the most wonderful 400k word fics written about them but I can only ever find oneshots for wlw ships

and don’t get me wrong, the oneshots are stunning and lovely, but I just want a long heart-wrenching fic for my girls too, ya know??

#anytime I search for a wlw ship on ao3 all that comes up are mlm ships tagged with the wlw ship #but the wlw ship isn’t the main/pov ship so it’s not really a fic for them and they’re only background characters #I wish there was a better way to filter the tags #or that people would tag with the Background X Ship tag instead #so the wlw ship tags aren’t filled with mlm fics #does this make sense??#idk I’ve just been thinking about I as a wlw read so much mlm fanfiction which is beautifully written but can’t find anything for wlw ships #gah #fanfiction #fandom #fandom stuff #em rants #marauders #ronance #because y’all get me!!

A lot of times in fandom I find myself looking at lesbian ships and I’m like

Are they really lesbians or are these two women just the only ones left not paired off and y’all are allergic to aro/ace characters and believe that bi people in m/f relationships are still basically straight?

And since we’re on the subject of people hating straight ships (because they fetishize male gay relationships lol) let’s talk about how people hate wlw relationships because it’s not “good” enough.

They feel as though because they are “straight” that they can put themselves in the situation where the sub male is in. Whole time they’re just getting off the the thought of two males doing it lol. I promise you, there are good straight anime’s or ships out there that show the same dynamic, you’re just a weirdo dude.

Or because it doesn’t show the dynamic of a sub male being damn near bullied or have a crazy ass size difference with the dominant male.

I’ll never understand the hate of wlw ships (when it comes to manga or even shows) because if anything those are the less fetishizing ones because they are mostly written by gay women. Most blb mangas are so… sexualized it’s insane. Because most of them are written by straight women.

Idk, my opinion. I’m definitely taking others opinions on this subject.

Between the Sinners and the Saints by KaiterTot. Oh. My. God. When I say this one altered my brain chemistry… THE ENDING DUDE HOLY-

A Few Last Wolves by Jwink85. Yes, I am a resident of the State Of Style by way of Creek Nation but this is Cryle. And it’s a slay. If y’all liked Frank and Bills episode in TLOU, it’s kind of an au of that. It works man.

Winter Butterfly ALSO by Jwink85 and ALSO Cryle. What can I say it’s incredible. The Style in the beginning is CUTE until shit hits the fan, too, and I thought this fic was a really interesting take on all the characters and relationships. I adore Tweek in this one too.

Something Sweet Like Honey by bluebryy. Ok this one is unsettling and creepy Craig makes me feel icky but I cannot WAIT for an update on that fic, I got my fingers crossed for Style endgame. Also CHECK OUT THEIR ART ON HERE they converted me to a short king Kyle truther and it’s a slay tbh.

Ladies and Gentleman We Are Floating In Space by gremlinteeth. A classic. The first sp multi chapter I read. THE LORE BRO. CREEK. STYLE. STANS CHARACTERIZATION GOES SO HARD HES MY BOIIIII

One of the wildest things from the Yellowjackets fandom was the fighting about which two non-canon girlies to ship, often including a girl who did not seem to have romantic interest in anyone…while continuously passing over a canon wlw ship.

And before you say the non-canon/crack ships were more interesting, in the canon ship, one girl gets mauled by wolves and gets a bitchin face scar, the other kills things in her sleep, and their adult versions are in such a doomed dramatic position—I thought y’all loved that shit
