I'm barely to the massacre and I can already tell I'm going to be screaming at every this-makes-no-sense decision made by the writers (your temple is under violent attack, and you evacuate the kids... to a barely enclosed corner in a prominent temple room? Instead of to the hundreds of sky bison that were highlighted as flying in earlier? Why?) (And Aang left to clear his head and think instead of to run from his duties? That's such a less compelling plot arc?) (And the show had him briefly monologue about being a goofy kid who loves pies and his friends instead of using the extended temple scene to show any of that? Didn't want to pay more child actors, did you, Netflix?)
Yeah I'm just. Going to be screaming at the screen instead of enjoying this. Different decisions aren't necessarily bad, but when those decisions seem to be in the direction of "show a man burning alive before we even get to the on-screen massacre" this is just... not the show for me.

"i just want non-queers to just see me as a normal person just like them" cool good for you. meanwhile ive been a weird little freak since i was a kid and the world is gonna have to learn to accept me like i am or ill start burning shit
you can be down for simple assimilation for yourself but many of us just want to be respected as is because theres nothing wrong with being different. especially those of us who are also neurodivergent on top of queer or many other things people often ostracize in society.
if you want other queers to water themselves down or just completely close off parts of their identity and self expression so that you wont be associated with those ~freaks~ and can be more easily accepted by The Normies, then you are not caring about your fellow queers at all.
we arent doing any harm, and we should be pushing for people to accept others no matter how HARMLESSLY strange and unusual they may come across. challenging the norm is the only way to get more people accepted across all communities.

PLEASE can we normalize proper flash warnings and requiring an option to disable flash effects in video games. i am so sick and tired of finding a video game i want to play with no flash warnings anywhere, only to discover there are full screen flash effects with no option to disable them. STOP MAKING YOUR GAMES INACCESSIBLE TO PHOTOSENSITIVE PEOPLE I BEG OF YOU

for Scarlet and Violet’s gimmick, I would like to propose something called hattenizing. When used in battle, Pokemon gain a special “hattenized” form which is just their regular form but with a sick hat to wear. this changes absolutely nothing and is wholly pointless. I will not be taking questions

Pro tip: if you know a narcissist who tends to oscillate between “I’m upset, why the hell isn’t everyone rushing to my side?” and “I don’t want to talk to you, I’m upset” a good solution to this is to talk to us, but as if we’re not upset.
Ignoring us while in a fragile state is narc language for “look how much fun I’m having while you’re busy crying. Look at me being so not concerned about you at all. You don’t even affect your surroundings, because if you did the world would stop until you felt better, but you’re basically nothing and everything is moving on without you.”
Trying to help or comfort us is narc language for “I think I understand what’s going on better than you do, and I’m making it your problem. My advice is to stop being upset immediately and do whatever I think you should. I’m now going to explain things you already know about the situation as if you’ve never known a damn thing in your life.”
So please for the love of god, just come over and talk to us like you wanna hang out. Don’t ignore us. Don’t attempt to solve or even acknowledge our emotions. Just say hi and ask if we want to hear a song or something. Make a joke or a compliment. Talk to us like everything’s going normally, and we’ll more than likely start to go along until we feel fine.
Nine times out of ten, what we actually need is just some basic company and supply.

I was today years old when I found out Yusuke Murata uses BL as a reference to draw male characters in One Punch Man
Now everything makes sense
