you don't have to read this!
there was a therapy dog petting session at my school, for all the stressed out kids freaked abt finals [like myself] and it was like. it was good!
well i mean it was bad at first?? i was a nervous wreck, i'm seriously a socially anxious person idk if you can tell? i get shaky and i dissociate and i can hardly walk up to a group of people without feeling like. idk im intruding...
but anyways it was all like that and i was sitting there shaking like a leaf right beside these ppl who just wanted to pet dogs AND I MEAN SO DID I but i was like alone and afraid yk? if i have friends im fine! but i didn't have friends there with me. so yeah. and im staring at the dogs like what do i do? what are dogs? i don't know i can't just go up in the middle and start petting them the hands are already in the good petting place what if they brush against mine? then id have to go wash my hands? no thank you man!
but yeah eventually they left and one came up and was just sitting in front of me! and i was like omg this is the best thing ever actually. petting this lil french bulldog. sweetest thing. im so glad i signed up for this. but then they left and i was like aw crap. idk what to do. but the crowds were all gone and it was just this one person petting the dog so i got treats for them and pet the dogs! and it was great! idk it was a breakthrough! i dont just go up to people like that, cool thing, a nice progress! i'm proud of me, really
but yeah there was this one guy came up to us as we were petting two SEPARATE dogs so i didn't get hand cooties, and he was like are these your guyses therapy dogs?? and i was like no oh no defo not but like i wished it was. idk these dogs kinda helped me make an acquaintance! i was shaking at the start but completely relaxed just chilling by the end. like oh if this is what a trained dog can do for me then id love to have one actually! and it's just something i've been thinking about for awhile, so maybe once i move out id like to try and train a dog like that, yanno? it was nice to just have the experience before i made a move! but yeah i thought that was neat!
tl;dr i met therapy dogs and they did what they're supposed to and now i wish i had one

Apparently, my decision to be silly and make fanart of someone's writing (because I genuinely enjoy the story the person is writing and I was struck with inspiration upon reading a particular scene) has benevolent and wildly unforeseen consequences.
I apparently gained a bit of control of the canon because said writer really loved the art and decided what I drew/draw is canon.
2. Writer put said artwork into the document of his story right below the scene, so now it's IN the story where people who read the story will see it (with a link to me)
3. He sent the artwork to all his friends and people he knows because he was so excited
Wholesome interaction and I watched him do all that in real time, good stuff. However...there are two more consequences I was notified of today...nearly a full week after I gave the artwork.
Seeing the artwork caused his friends to become interested in reading and hearing about his story, which means more people are reading what he's writing and giving him critique on the story (which he actively asks for).
Apparently, upon seeing the art, his writer friends got a sudden second wind to pick back up writing they'd abandoned for a few months. Because, I quote, "seeing that someone enjoyed {his} writing enough to take the time to make art of it gave them the motivation that maybe THEY can write something that will inspire someone to also create something." I have accidentally caused a writing frenzy among his writer friends and my silly idea to make art for someone has had a butterfly effect for people who I don't even know.
Uhh...I'm pretty sure there's a moral here but I am tired and have a great deal of emotions about this.

Do you guys notice how when Shawn Fain, president of the United Auto Workers union, started planning a general strike, he did it by a) targeting his messaging towards unions with the ability to safely and effectively strike in large numbers, b) laid out a clear, actionable plan for those unions to follow (setting contracts to all expire at the same time, since many unions cannot strike while under contract), c) is using union contracts to set clear, actionable demands that can be met in order to gauge success and provide an end goal, and d) started organizing FOUR YEARS before the proposed strike date to give people the chance to plan accordingly, because it takes a really freaking long time to get tens of millions of people organized?
You notice how he didn't do it by slapping a message on Twitter saying 'hey nobody go to work on Monday, that'll really show 'em'?

I’m too gullible with people. I’ll have encounters and be like “aw they seemed nice ☺️” and then everyone around me will be like NONONONONO THAT WAS THE DEVIL!!!!!!!
