lmao is this about the voice note headcanon? - it's because they were constantly in each other presence that's when Jake became busy with moon knight missions and Marc finding his own line of work they started growing distance, unknown and cold toward each other, sometimes In the dead of the night they could meet in a street somewhere and share a cigarette talk a bit or whatever. fight about something stupid or make out and fuck. that's where the voice notes started, at first it was one note every few weeks and growing to two notes every week and then one each day. at first it was just texting but now it's voice messages - Jake never gave Marc information about his location or what he's doing but growing comfortable enough he trusted Marc with them, he would give him updates about his missions and tell him stories about his travels, Marc would tell him about his day, rent about whatever and Jake will always listen and give advice. they don't see each other much but they always talk and that what makes them look forward to the next time they meet it could be in few days or few months but they always manage to find each other.
