i'm loving the little garden arc rn bc I think zoro's behavior is a peak example of how luffy changes him as a person. when he and the others were getting turned into statues he was completely serious and was about to cut off his own legs so he could try to go out fighting. dire situation that he was treating with a dramatic sense of urgency. and then he sees luffy for 0.2 seconds and immediately starts doing bits. he's bleeding out and turning to wax and he's ribbing nami about striking a cool pose. the instant luffy is within shouting distance zoro reverts to a silly little guy. which is really just what luffy brings out in him all the time. zoro is fundamentally a goofball but he only drops his serious façade when he knows luffy has his back

teenage miri needs to be the heroine of a shoujo in which all the usual shoujo things happen like high school shenanigans awkward first love etc etc but the whole time in the background you keep seeing her two dads who are in a very ambiguous relationship and you’re like funky ok. wonder what the story is there. they seem to really love her tho. but then that only gets more confusing the more they talk because they casually mention stuff about years-old bullet wounds or when miri’s complaining about some guy teasing her too much rei unironically starts an anatomy lesson on all the best places to stab someone and one time she jokes about their silly little diner actually being a front for the mafia and kazuki looks like he’s gonna have a heart attack. so while the majority of each episode is miri learning about the power of female friendship and knowing your self worth there is always these snatches of rei and kazuki HEAVILY implying they have both killed numerous people before. and the show just never offers any explanation

when the sneeg gets snagged <— is in visceral anguish
(Please lemme know if this is not how you do an image description correctly or if I should add anything! Be honest! As I have never done this before and would like to do better moving foward.)
[Image ID: A couple of pieces of fanart of the streamer, sneegsnag. The first image has a drawing of him making a confused expression in the top-left corner with his hat turned backwards, two doodles of him wearing his hat in different ways in the top-right corner, the writing around them saying “Is seeing all the horrors, all of them actually.” and “Y’all we vibing.” And the last one at the bottom having sneeg and ranboo holding eachother while shocked. The second image has sneeg looking scared and yelling “What is the sick place!” as he gets dragged away by two masked henchmen /.End ID]

Madame Loathing being corrupted by the psychometer from the very first episode of Mentopolis really paints the “that is incredible information for you to have volunteered” scene in a different light for me.
like originally it’s a fun meta joke about Brennan giving a player information about what they should do next, but if you consider it within canon? Madame Loathing was trying to give The Fix as much information on Conrad so that he could find him and kill him as quickly as possible, since she had already corrupted M. Bition to order The Fix to do that.
and Hank catches it! he realizes getting this much information from an NPC is unusual! and while Brennan deflects, he also makes the in canon character deflect (“focusing on me will only make me stronger”) in a very menacing way. some damn good foreshadowing on Brennan’s part.
