(spoilers under the cut - which is basically me being bored with the Iris/tarlos storyline and doing a whole 180 at the end lol)
I lowkey hate how good Rob Lowe looks 😂 jfc why does he look even better this season?? 😂
I think I like where Owen's story seems to be heading, and I like O'Brien's actor, I'm happy he's sticking around haha
I'm sorry, but I still don't give a fuck about Iris and her storyline 😂 like, surprisingly, I care about fucking Owen more 😳 (pls do something interesting with Marjan or Paul instead, I'm not even remotely excited for the resolution of this Iris storyline 😂)
I'm bored during that tarlos scene ngl
like, I really want to feel bad at least for Carlos being so worried about his "best friend" but I just don't 💁🏻♀️ I don't know Iris and their relationship enough to give a fuck, and from what we have seen of her so far, I don't particularly like her, or even have an opinion tbh
and like, Carlos is my fave character, and all I wanted from this season was for him to have more screen time and to actually get to know him as him, aside from TK and the 126, but the storyline with Iris just bores the shit out of me and I feel awful about it but I'm not gonna pretend that I'm into it when I'm not 😂
but awww, we're getting officer Reyes 🥵
Marjan and Paul are the best duo and we need more of them (pls give them like half of Owen's - or even Tarlos' this season sns - screen time) 😂
Nancy is acting her ass off resuscitating that sex doll lmao she's so great - this is one of the more ridiculous and hilarious cases fr 😂
okay, seriously, it's Owen's hair - I'm almost sure something's different about the hair and it makes him hotter and I don't know how to handle being attracted to fucking Owen Strand 😂😂
oooh, Iris called 911! I still don't care, but I love seeing the queen Grace! 😂
okay, Iris could die for all I care, but the action is getting interesting haha and I love seeing more of officer Reyes, we need to get more police cases too 😂
I admit, seeing so much more of Carlos, and pissed off and worried and protective, is worth suffering through Iris 👌😂 (maybe it's something about the actress, idk, can't put my finger on it yet, but she annoys me sns)
I hate that TK feels guilty and that Carlos blames him 🥺 especially since obviously the guy was real, nothing is TK's fault 😭
why can't I feel sympathetic towards Iris, while I feel bad for TK being blamed 😂 and I feel so bad for not feeling bad for her, but there's just nothing, no emotion towards her whatsoever 💁🏻♀️ what's wrong with me jfc 🤦🏻♀️😂
the code being "12345" is so fucking stupid but it really amuses me ngl 😂
omg is O'Brien really with them?? oh my god - it's okay, Owen, I bought it, too, didn't even think twice lmao
Carlos, as soon as you found the tunnel you should've called it in 🙄🙄 they always do this in those shows and it never ends well 🙄 (I'm here for the angst and more Carlos on my screen tho hahah)

and watching the promo - we're getting a serial killer??? now we're talking 😍 wasn't expecting that but now his storyline really gets exciting - can't wait for more!!
if this is where the Iris thing was leading, I apologize for complaining about how boring it was, even tho I was bored, but getting this, Carlos kidnapped by a serial killer?? so worth it lol
lowkey boring eps for the most part, give me more of Tommy and the pastor instead of Iris pls, and please can Marjan and Paul and Mateo and Nancy get some storylines, I'm begging y'all, it's supposed be ensemble, they're not just background extras ffs 😂
most of the episode was meh, but the ending! and more importantly the promo!! it took three episodes but they got my interest now haha can't wait for the next one! 😍

jamie love im backkkk i watched the episodes, besides the obvious upset everyone is feeling im happy it backkkk ive missed you 😌 - 💚
on a much lighter note tho i am lovingggg the dynamics in both shows albert and maddie are too sweet and buck and chimney living together is so nice and may and bobby 🥺 also cj is the light of my life and the 126 seem so much more comfy together and they are just like little kids i love it and Mrs Tommy Vega, Paramedic Captain 😍😍never have i loved more, my lovely gracie being a doll as always i loveeee the relationship between Tommy charles and judd and grace its amazing, the comfort show in carlos' house is immaculate (wish they didnt do what they did tho but moving onnnn) im still iffy about the relationship of owen and gwen but ill see how it plays out my love for nancy and tim is growing more and more and pauls and marjan and mateo and my angels so much love for them, saw the promo for next week and oh my just its gonna be messy - 💚
just answering these both at the same time - yes!! glad to see your back and that you enjoyed the episodes! the dynamics between albert/maddie and chimney/buck are great!! i hope we get to see more of that this season (well, i’m always rooting for more albert lmao) but it’s clearly hard on maddie not having chim there for these milestone moments in her pregnancy, and i’m sure it’s just as hard for him. i do hope we can see just some domestic moments of the two pairs living together though bc i’m sure it’s not all smiles and happy (especially between chim and buck lmao). and oh yes, cj was the highlight of that episode, ngl 🥺
and for lone star!! i loved the episode, obviously i’m upset at the cut stuff (moreso that it was shown in the promos but not on screen. i know there’s always going to be cuts, but it’s annoying that they use it for promotion and then don’t actually show it in the show.) but okay i want to just focus on being happy bc our show is officially back!! they really all do seem so much more comfortable around each other and we love to see it. tommy is the best, i already love her so much. i hope we can see more of the crew hanging at carlos’ house! (though now i won’t get my hopes up bc they probably cut that too and now we’ll never know why mateo was shirtless 😂 i kid, but really though i wouldn’t be surprised at this point). i think the relationship between owen and gwyn will be interesting, but i’m glad she’s sticking around. i hope we can see more of tk and gwyn over owen and gwyn.. but it’s the rob lowe show so :/ it’s chill though. and i love nancy and tim!! they really had such a prominent role in this episode and it gives me hope that they will continue to be shown more (assuming that the theory for next episode is false, of course... which jillian and i have a new theory regarding that so..) but yeah if they are both sticking around, i hope that maybe after this season they will be promoted to main cast (like karen, michael, the kids ect are on 911). and yeah i don’t even want to get into next week.. too much still to process from the actual episode lmao. but that just saves some stuff for us to talk about later in the week when we’re itching for the new episode!

Isa had always felt like the odd one out. Well, not when mama & papa were alive... Glued to one of their hips she was always their constant company. But lots has changed since then & time doesn’t fill in the gaps.
Snuggling into her oversized covers, staring out her window to the dark night sky, it was almost 10:30 and the noises of the Christmas eve party were still carrying clear.
‘I would be the one to get sick right before Navidad..’
She closed her eyes and sighed trying not to think about it all.
But was hard when the bands sound was her favorite Navidad songs & she swears she’s heard Elena’s laugh atleast a dozen times.
The Castillo-Flores have always been great hosts. Mama & Papa would throw parties like no one had ever seen & Elena was following in their footsteps like a pro. There was always music, games, presents, & FOOD.
Tamales, Flan, Ponche Navideño, Pozole, Pavo, Ensalada de Noche Buena, Bunuelos, Rosca de Reyes...
it all looked amazing in her mind & she felt her eyes watering at the thought of missing out and not being missed.
Everyone, Abuela, Abuelo, Esteban, Elena, Mateo... Gabe.. she knew they were only a hallway and staircase away. Yet the heavy ness in her chest made it feel like it was so much further.

At the stroke of midnight the big grandfather clock chimed deep and low & the muffled cheers from the party rose back to Isa’s ears.
Feeling sorry for herself earlier she had squeezed her eyes shut and practically forced herself into a nap.
“Dumb idea Isa... now you’re not even close to being tired,” she had scolded herself out loud.
“What’s a dumb idea?”
The deep yet recognized voice made her jump in her bed and turn her whole body to face the door.
“GABE! W-what are you doing here?!”
Single handedly Gabe closed the bedroom door with a gentle click & put a finger to his lips to shush her.
“Hey I’m sneaking here, gotta keep it quiet or I’ll get caught.”
“Get caught? By who? What’s behind your back?”
Still in his soldiers uniform Gabe chuckled and approached the bed. “For being sick you sure do ask a lot of questions.”
When he was next to her bedside he took a bow revealing his prize.
“Surprise!” He whispered with enthusiasm.
A plate full of DESSERTS.
Isa felt her breath escape her looking down at all the sweets. It was late.. and she knew she shouldn’t eat even one of them, but she also knew in her heart that every single one of them was as good as gone.
“Gabe, thank you.. so much.” She looked up at him with sparkling eyes, her hands clasped beneath her chin. She reminded him of the porcelains dolls in all the window shops. It made his heart skip a beat.
“Ah no worries, it’s the least I could do while you’re cooped up from the party. Besides, I know you gotta sweet tooth.” He winked at her and if he hadn’t mentioned the party she was sure she would have melted right then.
“Yeah the party sounds amazing. You guys are having a blast downstairs huh?”
Gabe placed the plate on her lap and sat himself on the edge of the bed. “Hm, it’s ok.” Hunched over he looked at his hands and Isa got the feeling he was holding something back.
She picked up a cookie and nibbled on it pretending to feign not caring. “It’s ok I know it’s been fun. I’ve heard Elena laugh more times than I can count.”
Gabe looked Isa over and considered her words, “You know, Elena and your cousin are good at putting on a show. They know how to be ‘on’ when they have to be.”
Isa had not been expecting that response and her curiosity was intrigued. “What do you mean by that?”
Gabe played with his hands again clearly uneasy about something. He was silent a moment longer before answering. “I mean... I guess that... well any party is just going to be ok if you’re not there. Hard to have a good time when I know you’re not feeling well and alone.” He was blushing furiously at the confession and Isa could barely believe what he had said.
Was this a freaking Christmas miracle sent by Cupid himself?
Their relationship had been hanging in a strange balance. Constantly swaying between friends and something more... but ultimately stuck in an uncomfortable middle. She had been trying her best to show him how she felt and the Christmas Eve party was supposed to be her chance. She had picked out the grandest ballgown and was planning a waltz with him... but all that flew out the window when a nasty flu had settled in. This... however... so unexpected.. she’d never think he’d come to her first... this changed everything. It felt like a magical energy was in the air.
“I’m sorry, I should probably go now.” He was just like a little kid, standing up suddenly unable to bear the attention.
“Wait!” She tried to push off her covers in an attempt to follow him. She didn’t want to lose this moment!
“Isa, I really shouldn’t be up here. I don’t want to get caught. Plus you can’t follow me out, I want you to get better not worse.”
“I won’t follow if you don’t go. Who are you so worried is going to catch you Mr. Captain of the Royal Guard?”
Gabe crossed his arms and took a deep breath. “I’ll stay but only a little bit longer. I-I want to do this right Isabelle. I don’t want your family to get the wrong impression of me.”
Isa managed a simple “Oh.” and that carried more meaning than anyone could ever know.
“I’m a little fuzzy on how this all goes.” He confessed. “But I want your family to know I can be trusted and that I respect you above all else. That’s.. that’s why I should go. I don’t want you to be the gossip for the new year.”
Isa nodded her head, self consciously brushing her hands over her curls.
‘He would tell me all this when I haven’t brushed my hair and when I’m pale as a ghost!’
“I understand. You should know though, that my family loves you. They do trust you. And I know you would never hurt me.”
Gabe smiled and seemed more at ease. “Goodnight Isa, I’ll visit first thing at sunrise. I promise.” He made his way to the door and turned back for one last glance.
She was still fiddling with the ends of her curls, a slight blush on her cheeks, from the fever or something else he wasn’t sure, but she raised her warm eyes to him full of faith in his promises, “It’s a date.”

A/N: I struggled with this ship cuz I don’t really ship them but I see their potential a lot! I guess my headcanons are that Gabe is super traditional with her, wants to court her the right way & be her protector but is also kinda hard headed about how to go about doing it all. And I can see Isa being the girl who wants that & is more girly girl domesticated house-wifey than Elena haha. That’s just me tho.
