In the most shounen way possible Evil Wolverine SURE DID launch into four pages of evil speeches COMPLETELY UNPROMPTED and for no reason in particular.

YES EVIL WOLVERINE WE KNOW THIS MOMENT IS CUT OFF FROM TIME. WE KNEW THIS ALREADY.

Perhaps it’s the translation or just his wording in general but I’m not sure what the four pages to establish “Divine Providence” doesn’t work here actually means? He says at first that it doesn’t work for Space and Time in general any more, both past and future, but then specifies that this moment specifically is also cut off from "Providence", because it’s cut off from the rest of space and time. (But if "Providence" already didn't work in the past and future, why would it NEED to be cut off in order for providence to ALSO not work here?) And yet I’m not sure exactly what Divine Providence really means in this context, or what it has to do with anything at all that we’re doing here.

I think it might have been more impactful if he was saying that this moment is cut off from Hitsuzen and so anything could happen, or that it’s completely outside Yuuko’s influence so they can’t be saved. Something along those lines would have made more sense to me thematically.

Also... I'm not sure what he means when he says that Yuuko turned back time? I thought Lava Lamp's wish was with Evil Wolverine specifically - he says "I'll fulfill that wish for you", and when Yuuko shows up he claims that's she's interfering.

But here he says that YUUKO turned back time, implying that the wish was through her power. So...?

I think something got lost in the translation somewhere between these two chapters OR Evil Wolverine really will just say whatever the fuck he thinks in the moment.

I think at first I thought he was comparing Lava Lamp to someone else, but on second thought I think he means that Lava Lamp hasn’t changed since he first made the wish.

Something to do with the fact that this scenario has to end a “different” way than it first did, and yet Lava Lamp still has the same motivation as before.

I think you could probably make an interesting comparison out of the fact that (from Evil Wolverine’s perspective) the universe broke because Lava Lamp made this wish in the first place, but he’s still here with the same goal in mind, and so he’s never really learnt anything.

Which isn’t true, but I think I’m still just trying patch Evil Wolverine’s speeches in a way that actually makes sense to me.

You sighed at you dimmed the lights. He had to be home soon. You just kept reminding yourself that as you tucked yourself in your warm sheets. You were used to Croc being out late, but tucking yourself into bed was always pretty hard.

Passing out though was a whole other ordeal. And an actual easy one. You worked hard, almost just as hard as your husband, so getting to sleep was nothing and you would always pass out, lights on or off.

Crocodile opened the front door slowly, sighing as he knew you were probably out by now. He wasn't keeping track of time and the moment he looked at the clock, he wanted to slap himself in the face.

He packed up as quickly as he could and came home to darkness. Luckily, he already ate, so he didn't have to worry about that, but damn would it be nice to get a kiss or a hug or anything after such a long day.

He slipped off his shoes and hung up his coat before going upstairs. A sliver of hope came to him when he saw the light on in your bedroom, but that always happened. So when he saw the dim light shining on your sleeping figure, a little bit of disappointment swept over him.

He tried tip toeing around, but failed miserably when he hit his foot on the side of the nightstand, which made an empty glass fall (surprisingly not shattering in the process) and then he hit his head on a bookshelf nearby somehow, which made him again hit the same foot from earlier onto the bed frame.

Crocodile felt like such an idiot and he looked at you with wide eyes.

Somehow you were still asleep.

Until you let out a mumble. "You're such an idiot, Croc."

He turned off the lamp and crawled into bed. "You don't have to tell me twice." he whispered.

But as he wrapped his arms around you, he noticed that you were still fast asleep.

Allow me to help paint the visual!!! I have become Professor Meraki (silly delusion), specializing in octopus biology (specifically how that applies to our beloved Azuzu)!!!!!!!!ヾ(^ω^*) welcome to my class!!!!

The octopus's reproductive organ is called a hectocotylus, and it is known as a "modified/specialized arm" (or you can call it a "sex arm") that will transfer sperm to the female octopus. This is usually done by inserting said arm into the female octopus's mantle cavity; he usually keeps her at a distance because most female octopus become cannibalistic and will kill and feast upon their mates (a girlboss, those female octopus).

The arm has three main components (two of which are the ligula and calamus), but the most important part I will discuss is the spermatophore groove! Spermatophore is what octopus semen is called, and they are essentially packs of semen that can be up to one meter in length and contain billions of sperm. Many of these packs will reside in rows along the spermatophore groove because a lot is needed to fertilize many eggs (octopus copulation is said to last hours)!

The octopus's hectocotylus is actually smaller than the rest of its tentacles and so it will keep it curled inward against itself to protect it. It's a very important organ because it is the very thing that will allow the octopus to have enough anatomical rizz to mate with one fair octopus maiden. Sadly, both the female and male octopus will eventually die after mating. Octopus love story is tragic.

But how does this apply to our beloved tako? I like to think that the biology can be applied well, in that Azul naturally has a hectocotylus in his mer form and that it is universal animal instinct to want to protect such a vital reproductive organ. Although since he's half-human and he has a mother, I don't think his species will die after mating. Perhaps that's just an evolution of merfolk? Maybe it is some human strength or a result of parts of merfolk biology that allow for mating without death? In any case, his love story will not be tragic!!! A very good W for Mr. Azul.

I also think the rest of octopus courting rituals and mating behaviors can be applied to Azul (i.e. hours-long mating period, having spermatophores, instinctively keeping mate at a distance because many female merfolk are ruthless and perhaps this is just deeply rooted instinct, turning a darker or paler coloration when displaying before a mate, guarding mate from other males, and so on).

So to summarize: Azul's dick works just like the octopus's hectocotylus because it is one! Furthermore, you will be 100% knocked up if Azul takes you in his mer form. But then that's just all merfolk, including the twins. They have to be particularly virile if they intend to reproduce a lot, as most fry do not often survive in the tumultuous sea. And they have a lot of strength and stamina to last many hours, as is usually a common time length for copulation for many sea creatures. You will have a very fun, exhausting time with the trio in their mer forms when it comes time to mate!

What is Sir Arthur like in your headcanons? Is he a good leader or a respected one?

"people always knew sir arthur had a lot of potential--probably the most out of all of the generals--but that didn't mean news that he was to be the next leader didn't come as a bit of a surprise to everyone. usually that position went to the most senior general after the leader. regardless, it seemed the former leader saw something in him, and so he tentatively, but resolutely, stepped into his new role after the former leaders death with the eyes of the universe on him

all means considered, he acted exactly how a leader should act. he planned carefully and gave orders precisely, maintained a professional appearance at all times, and took on the work of managing the army without complaint. but the shoes he had to fill were large--the criticism only amplified by him being the personal choice of the previous leader for reasons that could only be speculated on, as she had never publicly disclosed. any great achievements of arthur's only stood to be compared to the person whose footsteps he followed."
