The Quest for Buddhism (90)
Early Buddhism and the disciples
Ten Principal Disciples No. 10: Ananda - Leading figure in establishing the nun's order [So far]
Most importantly, the early texts attribute the inclusion of women in the early sangha(monastic order)to Ananda.
Ananda has an crutial role in establishing the order of bhikkhunis (nuns), as he requested the Buddha on behalf of the foster-mother of Buddha, Mahapajapati Gotami (Ref), and other Sakya (Ref1) women, including Buddha's former wife Yashodhara (Ref2),when they were ordained, to allow them to be ordained.
According to the texts, Ananda's role in founding the bhikkhuni order made him popular with the bhikkhuni community.
Ananda was attractive in appearance. However, it gave him a hard time that because of his good looks and tenderness, Ananda often suffered from troubles with women.
A Pali account related that a bhikkhuni (nun) became enamored with Ananda, and pretended to be ill to have Ananda visit her. When she realized the error of her ways, she confessed her mistakes to Ananda. Other accounts relate that a low-caste woman called Prakrti fell in love with Ananda, and persuaded her mother Matangi to use a black magic spell to enchant him. This succeeded, and Ananda was lured into her house, but came to his senses and called upon the help of the Buddha. The Buddha then taught Prakrti to reflect on the repulsive qualities of the human body, and eventually Prakrti was ordained as a bhikkhuni, giving up her attachment for Ananda.
Ananda is one of the most loved figures in Buddhism. He was known for his memory, erudition and compassion, and was often praised by the Buddha for these matters. However, he still had worldly attachments, and he lacked the ability to regulate his mind and was not able to achieve the same degree of clarity and wisdom, so at the time of the Buddha's death, he had not attained arhat yet.

If Master Puti had not kicked out Sun Wukong, would he have been able to learn to control samadhi fire and samadhi wind? Is it possible for Sun Wukong to learn it? I don't remember what aspects were necessary to learn those techniques.
It could be possible but we have to think about the origin of Samadhi and what it means. I would like to say that @ryin-silverfish was the one to tell me this information!
The word Samadhi comes from Buddhist practice methods, which means to eliminate all distracting thoughts and calm the mind. How to concentrate can be divided into two types: one is the innate ability, that is, "being born with concentration", and the other is the "increased concentration due to acquired efforts". The former is achieved through the accumulation of virtue, while the latter is achieved through practice.
"Ten Abodes of Vipassa" 十住毗婆沙论·卷十一 records that "Samadhi is the four meditations (the four meditations), Any concentration other than the eight liberations; and also talks about the three doors of liberation (Emptiness without leakage, formlessness, wishless samadhi) and samādhi (There is awareness and concentration, there is no awareness and there is concentration, and there is no awareness and no concentration) It's called samadhi." In original Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism are not exactly the same.
I was told that in the annotations of xiyouji from the Qing Dynasty, the Samadhi Fire was a metaphor for Qi deviation during the cultivation process that is 走火入魔, literally "overheating the crucible and becoming spellbound. There is also a book called 治禅病秘要法, "Secrets to Curing Meditation Sickness" where the Samadhi Fire is actaully a sicknesses, and also mentions Samadhi Wind, Samadhi Earth, and Samadhi Water. They have only the four Buddhist elements instead of the five Chinese elements, so no Samadhi Metal or anything.
I was told that the Samadhi sickness are kinda like hallucinations that affect the body, and the book is about using meditation to fight meditation sickness. Like the cure for Samadhi Fire related sickness is visualizing a crystalline vase full of water and letting the water quell the flames burning in one's intestines. The cure for the Samadhi Wind is visualizing a dragon sucking up all the wind coming out of one's pores. The visions of Samadhi Earth are less about Earth, but more about being trapped in between great mountains that were overrun by Yakshas and Raksasi and demonic beasts until one is frightened into madness. And the cure for Samadhi Water is visualizing a monk riding a Garuda across the oceans, frightening dragons; the Garuda starts eating dragons, and in response, the dragons siphon water that turns into 4 snakes, which are then snatched up by the Garuda and burnt with flames coming out of its eyes. Then, visualize 2 flaming pearls in one's stomach and rectum, as well as a deity of the snowy mountains giving one a miraculous medicine.
So hypothetically since Master Puti is one of the ten principal disciples of the Buddha, he could have the information to pass it on to Wukong if Wukong wished to learn it besides just being immortal. I'm not sure which aspects Xiyouji uses as we only see Lao Tzu use it in his furnace and Red Boy mastering it after 300 years of training himself. I know that the Yellow Wind Demon stole the Fragrant Blossoms Precious Candles at Vulture Peak, and learned the Taoist arts, but they never really went into detail of their studies. Which is to be expected as Xiyouji isn't focused on that.

milton keynes’ finest sounds very interesting…very interesting indeed, love the idea!
An anon left a message in my inbox almost A YEAR AGO saying that people kept saying Kimi's race engineer sounded a lot like Charles. It really stuck with me and thus race engineer!Charles fic was born! I stole the tentative title name from "Piltover's Finest" (ship name for Caitlyn/Vi... any Arcane fans out there?).
It's still very much a WIP but if anyone is interested, here are a few snippets.
Title: Milton Keynes' Finest
Pairing: Driver!Max/Engineer!Charles
Excerpt #1:
Charles had nothing but criticism over the analysis of his FP1 and FP2 lap times. He was unfailingly polite, as if carefully ensuring that Max could find no fault with his manners and bemoan to Christian (not that Max was a tattletale - he huffed at the thought), but he found fault in almost every corner and straight, in both the short runs and the race runs.
“There isn’t an extra tenth to be found through turns 1-3.” Max finally could not hold his tongue anymore.
“My analysis of your entry into turn 2 and exit out of turn 3 suggests otherwise,” came the ever polite response. Charles’s piercing green eyes issued a challenge. “Take the entry you used on lap 13 - it’s perfect but you shorted the corner out of 3. Now if you combined that with the exit out of 3 that you took on lap 29, that’s where the extra tenth will come from.”
Max threw up both hands in frustration. “You’re not making sense. A minute ago you compared it to Checo’s racing line and said his was optimal. He did the exact same thing out of 3.”
To combine the entry he used on lap 13 with the exit he took on lap 29 was … well, if not impossible, then driving on a razor’s edge.
Something flashed across Charles’s eyes, and his brow creased into a frown for the first time. “The line was optimal for Checo, that’s true,” he informed Max coldly. “But you’re capable of more. Or am I wrong about you?”
Max wanted to strangle him.
-
The most irritating thing about Charles is that Max ends up proving him right.
The whole thing was a trap. To prove him wrong, Max would have to fail to go faster. And there has always been a part of him that recoiled at the thought that he had somehow reached his ceiling, that this version of him was the finished product, all too ready to be tossed aside in lieu of new talent.
Nevertheless, he was practically spitting mad by the end of FP3. Charles would not shut up on the radio. He refused to give Max the space to process. Charles was clever enough not to speak to him in the high speed corners, never crossing the line into truly aggravating or dangerous territory. But that further irked Max. His new race engineer was so deliberately calculating, clearly well-briefed in advance, that no true fault could be found with his communication, and yet Max had never felt so demeaned in his skills.
He thought GP was stoic and reserved, never lauding him with too much praise. By comparison to Charles, GP was practically effusive in encouragement.
“Your gain in the last lap was 0.2,” intoned Charles as Max crawled into the pitlane with grinding teeth and a tense grip on his steering wheel. “Our target is 0.3.”
Soon his target would be Charles’s vocal cords. At least he was now certain that British accents are far less annoying than French accents.
Excerpt #2:
Temporary race engineer, he kept reminding himself in order to maintain his sanity.
Because he hasn’t even made it through the whole race weekend with this impossibly aggravating individual, and he’s not sure he will survive to see the next race weekend. He’s already drafted his resignation letter for Christian.
Dramatic did not suit him, but desperate times -
To his dismay, his usually indulgent team principal laughed at him.
Dismissively.
“Come on, Max, give him a chance,” he chided, as if he found nothing of value in the well-crafted ten minute rant that Max just bestowed upon him. “He's a prodigy - Adrian Newey’s prized disciple. He was head-hunted by Ferrari, McLaren, and Alpine. We are lucky that he chose to stay with us.”
Max rolled his eyes. “Yeah, perfect. A prodigy at annoying me.  Did you hear him during Qualifying?” He didn’t usually let anything linger, but even talking about it brought back a grimace of irritation. He mimicked the French-accented voice: “‘No, Max, focus on turns 7 and 9 where you need two extra tenths each. You let me worry about the leader’s times.’ Like honestly, what the fuck, Christian. I want the lap times. He acts like it’s a fucking secret, and then lectures me. It’s unbelievable.”
He is most definitely not being dramatic.
(Okay, fine… so he got pole position, and yes - it was because he gained a few extra tenths in turns 7 and 9… but still - it’s the fucking principle of it. Because fuck that guy, and hopefully Christian doesn’t mention the pole position thing -)
“Well, you topped Qualifying, didn’t you?”
Damn it.
He then tried another approach. “He’s arrogant.”
Christian raised a single wordless eyebrow, and well... Max sort of had that one coming to him.
“Why can’t we send him back to the factory?” he suggested instead, which he thought was a perfectly sensible decision. That’s where Charles Leclerc came from, and he should be promptly banished from whence he came. If Charles was indeed an oh-so-gifted aerodynamicist and ICE expert as they all claimed him to be, then he can rant about shaving a few tenths off this and that corner into the void of the wind tunnel - because seriously, fuck him and fuck that snide French accent.
“He’s going to be your race engineer until GP is ready to return.” Christian’s voice was terse and left him no room for argument. “These are Helmut’s orders.”

Ten Principal Disciples of Lord Buddha: Torchbearers of Dharma
The life of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, is synonymous with the profound purpose of alleviating the suffering of all sentient beings. During his forty-five years of earthly existence, the Buddha encountered numerous individuals, and his transformative interactions inspired many to become his disciples. Among the multitude who embraced his teachings, ten disciples emerged as the principal torchbearers of Lord Buddha's dharma, carrying forth the essence of enlightenment far and wide.
1. **Sariputra (Upatissa):** Renowned as one of the two chief male disciples, Sariputra, also known as Upatissa, shared this eminent position with Moggallana. Born on the same day as Moggallana, Sariputra attained Nirvana and became an Arhat, celebrated for being "Foremost in Wisdom." His profound understanding earned him praise from the Buddha, and his wisdom became a guiding light for future generations.
2. **Moggallana (Maudgalyayana):** A close friend of Sariputra, Moggallana, also known as Maudgalyayana, stood as the other chief male disciple of Lord Buddha. Endowed with transcendental powers, Moggallana, depicted with a dark complexion, played a crucial role in aiding people through his psychic abilities. His passing, occurring two weeks after Sariputra's death, marked the end of an era.
3. **Mahakasyapa:** Revered for his ascetic practices, Mahakasyapa emerged as a key figure in the post-Buddha era. Following the Buddha's final nirvana, Mahakasyapa and 500 disciples compiled Buddha's Suttas, assuming leadership of the Sangha. As the "father of sangha," Mahakasyapa became the first to directly preach the teachings and sutras of the Buddha.
4. **Subhuti:** As one of the ten Great Disciples, Subhuti stood out for his deep understanding of the doctrine of emptiness. Mentioned in the Prajnaparamita of Mahayana Buddhism, Subhuti's prominence lay in grasping the profound concept of emptiness, contributing to the expansive tapestry of Buddhist thought.
5. **Purna Maitrayani-Putra:** Known for his enthusiastic preaching, Purna, also called Purna Maitrayani-Putra, dedicated himself to ensuring the future of Buddhism. While there is no evidence of his Nirvana, Purna's focus on spreading the seeds of Buddhism and serving the public underscored his commitment to the Buddha's teachings.
6. **Katyayana (Mahakatyayana):** Distinguished as foremost in spreading the Dharma, Katyayana played a pivotal role in disseminating the teachings of Lord Buddha. His profound understanding of Buddha's lectures positioned him as a key figure in the transmission of the Dharma.
7. **Anuradha:** A cousin of Shakyamuni Buddha, Anuradha, alongside Ananda, became a disciple of Lord Buddha. Renowned for his divine insight and mastery of clairvoyance, Anuradha's journey included a self-imposed vow not to sleep, leading to the loss of his sight. Later, he regained vision, believed to possess the power to perceive truth.
8. **Upali:** Originating from the lowest class of Indian society and working as a barber, Upali's journey to discipleship was marked by hesitancy. Foremost in observing precepts, Upali joined Lord Buddha when he was cutting his hair. Later, Upali's transformation led him to become an Arhat, chief disciple, and a key figure in the development of the Vinaya School.
9. **Rahula:** The only son of Shakyamuni Buddha before his enlightenment, Rahula became a monk at a young age. Achieving Enlightenment at 18, Rahula's early entry into monkhood and subsequent spiritual attainment marked him as one of the Ten Great Disciples.
10. **Ananda:** Renowned for his exceptional hearing of Buddha's teachings, Ananda, alongside Anuradha, was a cousin of Lord Buddha and became a disciple simultaneously. The term "Ananda" meaning "great delight" epitomized his role as the caretaker of Lord Buddha for 25 years, illustrating his unwavering dedication to preserving and disseminating the Buddha's words.
These Ten Principal Disciples of Lord Buddha, each excelling in distinct qualities, became pillars of Buddhism, ensuring the propagation of the dharma and the enlightenment path for generations to come.

Equals of the Apostles and Teachers of the Slavs, St. Cyril and St. Methodius
Tumblr media
Christ is with us! He is and always shall be!
In school, we are often taught that Martin Luther was the first to translate the Bible into a common language for all to understand. And while Martin Luther did translate the Bible from Latin to German for the common folk to understand, he was not the first to accomplish this feat. There are two saints who had achieved this over 700 years prior. These saints are Saints Cyril and Methodius.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
St. Methodius and St. Constantine (Feast Days May 11th and 24th) were brothers born in Thessalonica. St. Methodius, the oldest of seven brothers, was in the military and became governor in one of the Slavic principalities that were dependent on the Byzantine Empire. This made it possible for him to learn the Slavic language. Ten years later, St. Methodius became a monk on Mount Olympus.
St. Constantine was a smart man who studied with emperor Michael under the finest teachers in Constantinople. One such teacher was Saint Photius, who would later become the Patriarch of Constantinople (February 6). St. Constantine also studied all the current sciences and knew several languages. He studied the works of St. Gregory the Theologian. Because of his wealth in knowledge, St. Constantine became know as the “Philosopher”. After completing his education, the Saint was ordained into holy priesthood and appointed the curator of the patriarchal library at the church of Hagia Sophia. However, he soon left the capital and secretly went to a monastery. Being discovered there, he went back to Constantinople where he was appointed as an instructor in philosophy. While there, he even won a debate against Ananias, the leader of the iconoclasts. After this victory, the emperor sent Constantine to discuss the Holy Trinity with the Saracens, who were people who professed Islam. He also gained a victory against them. After he returned, he went to St. Methodius and spent his time in unceasing prayer and reading the works of the holy Fathers.
Soon, the emperor summoned both of the brothers and sent them to preach the Gospel to the Khazars, a semi-nomadic Turkic people. During their journey, they stayed in the city of Korsun in order to make preparations. While there, they discovered the relics of the hieromartyr Clement, Pope of Rome (November 25).
While in Korsun, St. Constantine found a Gospel and Psalter written in Slavonic (Russian letters) and a man who spoke the Slavic tongue. He learned from this man how to read and speak the language. Eventually the brothers arrived at the Khazars, where they won a debate with the Jews and Muslims by preaching the Gospel. On their way back, the brothers visited Korsun and took up the relics of St. Clement. Then, they returned to Constantinople.
Later, they were called by Moravian prince Rostislav to instruct his people in the Orthodox Faith. Along with the help of their disciples Gorazd, Clement, Savva, Naum, and Angelyar, they devised a Slavonic alphabet and translated the books that were necessary for the celebration of the divine services. They translated the Gospel, Epistles, Psalter, and collected services into the Slavic tongue. This occured in the year 863, over 700 years before Martin Luther translated the New Testament.
After they completed the translation, the holy brothers went to Moravia, where they began to teach the services in the Slavic language. This angered the German bishops, who celebrated the divine services in the Moravian churches in Latin. They were convinced that the divine services should be done in one of three languages: Hebrew, Greek, or Latin. However, St. Constantine said, “You only recognize three languages in which God may be glorified. But David sang, ‘Praise the Lord, all nations, praise the Lord all peoples (Psalm 116/117:1)’.’ Humiliated and bitter, the bishops complained to Rome.
The holy brothers were then summoned to Rome for a decision to be made on the matter. As they set off to Rome, the brothers took with them the relics of St. Clement. Knowing that they were bringing these relics with them, Pope Adrian met them along the way with his clergy. The brothers were greeted with honor and the Pope gave permission to have the divine services in the Slavonic language. He then ordered the books translated by the brothers to be placed in the Latin churches, and to serve the Liturgy in the Slavonic language.
While in Rome, St. Constantine fell ill and the Lord revealed that he would die. So, he was tonsured into the monastic schema with the name of Cyril. On February 14, 869, St. Cyril died at the age of 42. Before he died, St. Cyril commanded St. Methodius to continue their task of enlightening the Slavic people with the true Faith.
After St. Cyril’s death, the Pope sent Methodius to Pannonia, a province of the Roman Empire, and consecrated him as Archbishop of Moravia and Pannonia. In Pannonia, St. Methodius and his disciples continued to distribute service books written in the Slavonic language. This once again angered the German bishops, who arrested and tried the Saint. The Saint was sent to Swabia where he endured several sufferings for two and a half years.
After being set free by the order of Pope John VIII of Rome and being restored to his archdiocese, St. Methodius continued to preach the Gospel to the Slavs. He baptized the Czech prince Borivoi and his wife Ludmilla (September 16), as well as one of the Police princes. The German bishops began to persecute him again because he did not accept the heretical teaching of the Holy Spirit proceeding from both the Father and Son. St. Methodius was summoned to Rome where he was able to justify himself before the Pope and preserve the Orthodox teaching. Afterwards, he was sent to Velehrad, the capital of Moravia.
Velehrad is where he spent the remaining years of his life. St. Methodius spent the rest of his life, with the assistance of two of his former pupils, translating the entire Old Testament into Slavonic. The only books he did not translate was the Book of Maccabbess, the Nomocanon (Rule of the Holy Fathers) and Paterikon (book of the Holy Fathers).
Before he died, St. Methodius designated one of his students, Gorazd, as a worthy successor to himself. The saint predicted the day of his death and died on April 6, 885, at the age of 66. The saint’s burial service was chanted in three languages, Slavonic, Greek, and Latin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The story of Sts. Cyril and Methodius is an amazing one. As a STEM student,  I found it fascinating that St. Cyril had studied all of the current sciences of his time. And as someone who is continually seeking knowledge, his story gave me a sense of hope that I can use what I learn to glorify God and to spread His message.
We should keep the spirit of Sts. Cyril and Methodius as we approach the modern era. Today, thanks to the Internet, we are connected to people from all around the world that come from all sorts of cultures. One thing I do appreciate from the Protestant movement is that there is a passion to translate the Bible into other languages and go out among other cultures to spread it. It does help spread the Gospel and we ought to do as Orthodox Christians.
But on a more local issue, we should focus on making our services more accessible to people in the West. In the US, where I’m from, I’ve seen a problem where the liturgy is not performed in English. While I understand having the liturgy in for example, Greek, for new immigrants, it also cuts off any potential new converts for the local population. Having the liturgy mostly in English or even a Spanish service could help our population greatly. But this is just my humble opinion.
Until next time and may God bless all of you!
- Joanna

ST SABBAS THE SANCTIFIED (532)
Tumblr media
Saint Sabbas the Sanctified was born in the fifth century at Cappadocia of pious Christian parents, John and Sophia, and his father was a military commander. Journeying to Alexandria on military matters, John and Sophia left their five-year-old son Sabbas in the care of an uncle. When the boy was eight years old, he entered the nearby Monastery of Saint Flavian. The gifted child quickly learned to read and became an expert on the Holy Scriptures. His parents urged Saint Savva to return to the world and enter into marriage, but all in vain.
When he was seventeen years old he was tonsured as a monk, and attained such perfection in fasting and prayer that God found him worthy of the gift of working miracles. After spending ten years at the Monastery of Saint Flavian, he went to Jerusalem, and from there to the Monastery of Saint Euthymios the Great (January 20). Saint Euthymios, however, sent the young man to Abba Theoktistos, the head of a nearby monastery with a strict cenobitic Rule. Saint Sabbas lived in obedience at this monastery until the age of thirty.
After the death of Elder Theoktistos, his successor blessed Savva to seclude himself in a cave. But on Saturdays, he left his hermitage and came to the Monastery, where he took part in the Divine Services and ate with the brethren. After a certain time, Saint Sabbas received permission not to leave his hermitage at all, and he struggled in the cave for five years.
Saint Euthymios directed the young monk's life, and seeing his spiritual maturity, he began to take him to the Rouba wilderness with him. They left on January 14, and remained there until Palm Sunday. Saint Euthymios called Saint Sabbas a Child-Elder, and encouraged him to grow in the monastic virtues.
When Saint Euthymios fell asleep in the Lord (+ 473), Saint Savva withdrew from the Lavra and moved to a cave near the monastery of Saint Gerasimos of Jordan (March 4). After several years, disciples began to gather around Saint Sabbas. As the number of monks increased, a Lavra sprang up. Guided by a pillar of fire which appeared before him as he was walking, Saint Savva found a spacious cave in the form of a church.
The holy Elder founded several more monasteries. Many miracles took place through his prayers: at the Lavra, a spring of water welled up, during a time of drought there was abundant rain, and the sick and those possessed by demons were also healed. Saint Sabbas composed the first monastic Rule of Church Services, the “Jerusalem Typikon," followed by all the Palestinian monasteries. The Saint surrendered his soul to God in the year 532.
Saint Sabbas is depicted holding a scroll which reads: "He who loves God disdains corruptible things, and prefers the knowledge of Him."

LUKE 17:12-19
12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"14So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? 19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."
EPHESIANS 6:10-17
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Mormon Chapter 1, Part 3. "Wickedness Prevails."
Tumblr media
Can you actually tell Donald Trump is diabolic criminal? Is it possible a man like this has broken too many laws, committed too many indecencies and mentions plans for additional ways to mismanage the White House should not be allowed to enter it again? How have our loftiest principals become so involved and confused with this man?
And why can't President Biden and the Department of Justice do something about him, protect us and take us into a new chapter of American History that does not involve the lurking evil of the Republican Party, which is always waiting to spring something new, weird, and devastating on us?
Everyone on this planet has read the Ten Commandments, everyone knows our value system does not include bigotry, stealing, cheating, violence, or corruption, prophets from every religion have warned us people that seek public office and do these things have to be killed for it.
So what is happening to us, that we can't follow the Directions in this country? You saw and heard correc? Donald Trump allowed Geoff Tunicliffe a conservative Christian publisher rape his son Barron Trump when he was still a minor, claiming his son was a brat and deserved it. The footage is quite horrible, no one could be bratty enough to deserve what I saw. And yes, I turned Trump into the police but somehow he's on the road again.
Can any of you comprehend the implications of such a statement to the future of our country should Donald Trump ever hold the Office of President once again? Does that Geoff Tunicliffe could show up one day and teach your kids how to behave?
He's got AIDS you know, and we aren't talking about a box of chocolates! Niether a sitting nor a current President of the United States nor members of his Cabinet, nor members of Congress or the SCOTUS can have connections to a man like Geoff Tunicfliffe and remain in office, it's a Crime Against Humanity, but all of them do.
Now you know it's time to act like it. Trump admitted to it. It's time to close the GOP, put them all in jail, don't look back. We've seen all this before, it never, ever turns out well:
13 But wickedness did prevail upon the face of the whole land, insomuch that the Lord did take away his beloved disciples, and the work of miracles and of healing did cease because of the iniquity of the people.
14 And there were no gifts from the Lord, and the Holy Ghost did not come upon any, because of their wickedness and unbelief.
15 And I, being fifteen years of age and being somewhat of a sober mind, therefore I was visited of the Lord, and tasted and knew of the goodness of Jesus.
16 And I did endeavor to preach unto this people, but my mouth was shut, and I was forbidden that I should preach unto them; for behold they had wilfully rebelled against their God; and the beloved disciples were taken away out of the land, because of their iniquity.
17 But I did remain among them, but I was forbidden to preach unto them, because of the hardness of their hearts; and because of the hardness of their hearts the land was cursed for their sake.
18 And these Gadianton robbers, who were among the Lamanites, did infest the land, insomuch that the inhabitants thereof began to hide up their treasures in the earth; and they became slippery, because the Lord had cursed the land, that they could not hold them, nor retain them again.
19 And it came to pass that there were sorceries, and witchcrafts, and magics; and the power of the evil one was wrought upon all the face of the land, even unto the fulfilling of all the words of Abinadi, and also Samuel the Lamanite.
The Republicans are what is called Gandianton, "hiders of secrets." A good Christian man or woman reveals the Mysteries of God by caring for others in a way that is unyielding against the forces of corruption that are trying to cause their demise. O, they'll worry about someone's old jar of jellied octopus eggs in yellow cream sauce in the freezer, but will they worry about you, or the poor, the War, the climate, or the economy? There are no signs they are interested in any of this.
They do love to talk about their freaky magic spells and witchcrafts, but the welfare of their fellow man and the role of State Power in his happiness and betterment they will never broach the subject. They will go on vacation rather than talk about this.
In the Book of Mosiah, Chapter 11, a prophet named Abinadi, "The Father's Ornament" says about persons like Mike Johnson and his coven of evil twisted Avon Ladies Witches:
20 And it came to pass that there was a man among them whose name was Abinadi; and he went forth among them, and began to prophesy, saying: Behold, thus saith the Lord, and thus hath he commanded me, saying, Go forth, and say unto this people, thus saith the Lord—Wo be unto this people, for I have seen their abominations, and their wickedness, and their whoredoms; and except they repent I will visit them in mine anger. 21 And except they repent and turn to the Lord their God, behold, I will deliver them into the hands of their enemies; yea, and they shall be brought into bondage; and they shall be afflicted by the hand of their enemies. 22 And it shall come to pass that they shall know that I am the Lord their God, and am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of my people. 23 And it shall come to pass that except this people repent and turn unto the Lord their God, they shall be brought into bondage; and none shall deliver them, except it be the Lord the Almighty God. 24 Yea, and it shall come to pass that when they shall acry unto me I will be slow to hear their cries; yea, and I will suffer them that they be smitten by their enemies. 25 And except they repent in sackcloth and ashes, and cry mightily to the Lord their God, I will not hear their prayers, neither will I deliver them out of their afflictions; and thus saith the Lord, and thus hath he commanded me.
Samuel the Lamanite "Ignorant, but knows God's Name" said unless we can embrace the Gospels we shall not succeed:
Helaman 13:
2 And it came to pass that in this year there was one Samuel, a Lamanite, came into the land of Zarahemla, and began to preach unto the people. And it came to pass that he did preach, many days, repentance unto the people, and they did cast him out, and he was about to return to his own land. 3 But behold, the voice of the Lord came unto him, that he should return again, and prophesy unto the people whatsoever things should come into his heart. 4 And it came to pass that they would not suffer that he should enter into the city; therefore he went and got upon the wall thereof, and stretched forth his hand and cried with a loud voice, and prophesied unto the people whatsoever things the Lord put into his heart. 5 And he said unto them: Behold, I, Samuel, a Lamanite, do speak the words of the Lord which he doth put into my heart; and behold he hath put it into my heart to say unto this people that the asword of justice hangeth over this people; and four hundred years pass not away save the sword of justice falleth upon this people.6 Yea, heavy destruction awaiteth this people, and it surely cometh unto this people, and nothing can save this people save it be repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord hath declared it unto me, and he did bring glad tidings to my soul. And behold, I was sent unto you to declare it unto you also, that ye might have glad tidings; but behold ye would not receive me. 8 Therefore, thus saith the Lord: Because of the hardness of the hearts of the people of the Nephites, except they repent I will take away my word from them, and I will withdraw my Spirit from them, and I will suffer them no longer, and I will turn the hearts of their brethren against them.
The Values in Gematria are found in the following verses, 15 and 16.
v. 15: Fifteen years of age. The Value in Gematria is 8062, חאֶפֶסו‎‎ב‎, hafesov, "the resettlement."
v. 16: The Disciples were withdrawn. The Value in Gematria is 11122, אאאבב‎‎, awww, "niether nor."
The above verses refer to what is called a City of Refuge by the Torah which names six. They are not as commonly believed, a place where persons guilty of accidental crims and misdemeanors go to seek refuge from vengeful relatives. They are "torches of holiness", important principals that protect the rest of us from scum sucking witches like the Republicans and Vladimir Putin:
The Six Towns are:
Golan, Ramoth, and Bosor, on the east (left bank) of the Jordan River, and Kedesh, Shechem, and Hebron on the western (right) side.
Golan= captive [of God]
Ramoth= within the high places
Bosor= the torch
Kedesh= holiness
Shechem= responsibility
Hebron= friendship
=
"Captive of God in the High Places is the one who carries the torch of holiness, responsibility and friendship."
Do you think you will see Donald Trump or the rest carrying such a torch into the world? No you do not.
As for the information above, which was validated by Donald Trump himself on the air means he needs to be defrocked and put in jail. He cannot be President again, he is an immense security risk and threat to this country, and the madness he has created needs to be quelled.

SCRIPTURE READINGS for Sunday December 10th, 2023
Ephesians 6:10-17 (Epistle)
Finally, my brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Hebrews 13:17-21 (Epistle, Saint)
Brothers and Sisters, obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Luke 17:12-19 (Gospel)
At that time, as the Lord entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
Luke 6:17-23 (Gospel, Saint)
At that time, the Lord came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: “Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.

"The Tower." From Luke 14:28–33.
Tumblr media
What are Towers? There is one called Babel, but that is not the tower we want to discuss here. That one is found in Isaiah, and refers to a place high enough from which one can really see what the future of humanity would look like if we could achieve Mashiach:
From Isaiah 38:
17The King in His beauty shall your eyes behold; they shall see [from] a distant land.
18Your heart shall meditate [in] fear; where is he who counts, where is he who weighs, where is he who counts the towers?
19A people of a strange tongue you shall not see, a people of speech too obscure to comprehend, of stammering tongue, without meaning.
20See Zion, the city of our gathering; your eyes shall see Jerusalem, a tranquil dwelling, a tent that shall not fall, whose pegs shall never be moved, and all of whose ropes shall not be torn.
21But there, the Lord is mighty for us; a place of broad rivers and streams, where a galley with oars shall not go, and a great ship shall not pass.
22For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our ruler; the Lord is our king; He shall save us.
23Your ropes are loosed, not to strengthen their mast properly; they did not spread out a sail; then plunder [and] booty were divided by many; the lame takes the prey.
24And the neighbor shall not say, "I am sick." The people dwelling therein is forgiven of sin.
Now Begins the Parable of the Tower:
28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace.
33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.
Money in Judaism is good, practical sense. It begins to accumulate when young adults begin to process their implications of their responsibilities and there are good and bad consequences to their actions. Jesus asks His Disciples over and over to bank as much of it as possible while He is still alive, to hold dear everything He says.
The Foundation of these words are found in what I call the Pax Terra Sutra, "the Declaration of Peace on Earth", Peace on earth, goodwill towards men. Jesus explains the terms, "Love your neighbor as you love yourself."
From these, the Founding Principals of Christianity, one can build just about anything one imagines without fear of its loss.
To profess to Christianity and act like an undereducated savage whose sole preoccupations are with the disgusting cunt uterus, how gay men court and fuck or how people clothe themselves is absurd. These are not activities that are "on mission" and they never will be.
To blunder through life claiming thouest knows Jesus and push these agendas does not add one cent to the bank. It looks and feels disastrous for the world because it is.
But this we do, there are wars coming over it. One version of the story versus the next. Here is what Jesus said about this.
10,000 men vs. 20,000=
10,000 men is the super secret code word for the Archangel Michael who is in charge of God's assets and beats back the forces of Hell's Satans.
Ten thousands are also indicative of the "Ten Statements" being spoken for the sake of loving kindness for 1,000 generations.
20,000 men, twice the amount, is Kingdom Come, the "Ten Plagues."
The Delegation while peace and freedom are a long way off represents the very same God sent to Pharaoh via Moses and Aaron.
There is but one way for the Foundation and the Tower to work and there must be peace and it must be fought for on the basis of the Decrees vs. the Plagues, which are all the ways people discuss rubbish and bullshit with each other and then try to make laws from it and piss everyone off all the time.
Jesus warned us to give up on these things and even still, we have not. We just can't seem to get things off the ground.

The Quest for Buddhism (52)
Early Buddhism and the disciples
Ten Principal Disciples No. 5: Purna Maitrayaniputra - Foremost in Preaching
He is, also simply known as Purna, was the earliest of the ten principle disciples [Ref1] to become a disciple, and among Buddha’s many disciples, he was called the foremost in preaching the dharma, because of his excellent oratory. Known for his oratory and easy-to-understand preaching, he is said to have been fluent in 60 different languages. The Pali Buddhist scriptures contain the Punnovada Sutta which bears his name.
Purna was born in Donavatthu(or Sunapalanta), near Kapilavatthu, in a family of brahmins (i.e. generic name for the priestly class at the top of the Indian caste system). His family is said to have had enormous wealth.
Ananda [Ref], after his first rain retreat, mentions him as a great influence in the Ananda Sutram (i.e. aphorisms leading to ánanda, divine bliss.). He says that thanks to him he was able to become a srotāpanna (Pali: sotāpanna, i.e. it is the rank of a person who, having reached this stage, attains enlightenment without retreat and only by passing back and forth between the human and heavenly realms a maximum of seven times).
Sāriputta [Ref2]also meets Purna through the Tathāgata and a group of shakyans and the Buddha, and the two praise one another.

Is there a reason that Golden Cicada is Buddha's second disciple in the story why not any other number, and who are the Buddha's other disciples
I personally believe that he is the second disciple to show his importance in the story. If there was a reason to remake the number significant then I would think making him the third disciple would make more sense since three is a more important number (like Bailong and Nezha being third princes).
But in either case, I think that the Golden Cicada is supposed to be one of the ten principal disciples of Buddha. I have heard some suggest the 18 arhats, but considering they are in JTTW and sometimes do things I don't think he was a part of them. I have seen some adaptions make it that Gaunyin is his senior disciple but that is more of a recent take I believe.
Sorry if that isn't a really detailed answer but there isn't a lot known about him sadly.

Dance of the Phœnix - Episode 23
Tumblr media
Slowly but surely, we are getting near the end of this drama series and I am still unsure about if I can’t wait to put it past behind me or if I will regret it once it’s all over. You know, sometimes you complete a drama and you feel empty inside because it’s all done. I’m debating if this one will be one of those or not. Probably not if I am completely honest.
So, going on, more drama is awaiting us, with the fact that Feng Wu is an imposter being disclosed to a lot of her ennemies, thank you Zuo Qingluan for your service. Remember how Feng Wu was discussing with that girl how someone was pretending to be her? Well we still have no clue to who could that be (Qingluan, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense because she went there and noticed that the principal was dead) and she needs to hurry off because the colourful bird is calling her again to bring the second star piece to awaken her master. The tree next to him flourishes as he starts moving a little bit and from now on the bird will be able to get out of the ring too. There’s one piece left before Mu Jiuzhou can awaken.
Qingluan reports on her progress to the empress. She’s uneasy with the alliance between the dark night court and the empress so empress asks her who would she chose between the emperor and all that lives. Of course, all that lives. So the empress tells her about Mu Zhoujiu and how he actually didn’t fail ascending to deity, but was actually interrupted by the emperor. Basically, he had two friends, the emperor and Yu Mingye’s father, but then the emperor betrayed him after ten years of fake friend ship. According to the empress. Now they need to get rid of Feng Wu so Jun Linyuan will go against his father. I feel there was a LOT of lying in that story.
I am skipping a few scenes here that I found rather boring and useless, up to when the Master of the Biluo Palace comes to visit the Academy. While they are there, the master and some disciples witness Zhao Ge practicing and the disciples are impressed by how she improved. Mu Yao wants to humiliate Zhao Ge and suggests a little duel between the two of them, but she gets defeated badly. She tries to badmouth Zhao Ge, but gets scolded. I mean... She’s the daughter of your sect’s master, honestly that doesn’t sound like a smart move, especially when you lost. Results, you’re almost kicked out of your sect. Qingluan goes after Muyao to persuade her. They need to bring Zhao Ge to their side and defeat Feng Wu. She doesn’t care about her title, as long as she beats Feng Wu. Mu Yao doesn’t quite understand because she worked hard for it.
After half an episode, Feng Wu appears again. While she’s quarrelling with her bird friend, Zhao Ge hears her. She’s thinking oh no, what if Zuo Qingluan was right... But like... that’s very dumb. Why would she worry about that? It doesn’t change that Feng Wu has always been a good friend to her. She gets caught trying to leave and ends up inviting Feng Wu to some festival. However, Yu Mingye drags Feng Wu away (we should note that she doesn’t really resist being taken away). He takes her to a place so they can watch the fireworks together and plays the flute for her, leading people to believe they are a couple. He tries to get her to get together with him, but she’s not really giving an inch. She rejects him and he asks if they can at least remain as friends. She agrees. I actually like their chemistry better than with Jun Linyuan, but that’s my opinion. Poor Yu Mingye, he really breaks my heart.
I am going to go over the last few minutes of the episode very quickly. Basically, Jun Linyuan got Zhao Ge to take Feng Wu out, to see if she would feel moved by Yu Mingye. Why would you test her like that? To me that is pretty disgusting, you don’t do that to someone you like and said that they like you. Anyways. Zuo Qingluan still tries to bring Zhao Ge against Feng Wu. Lots of fireworks. Boring kiss between the two mains. And that’s about it. I don’t really get why is it so important that Zhao Ge leaves Feng Wu’s side, she’s still rather weak compared to other cultivators. Also, she doesn’t really has any influence on Jun Linyuan, I guess Xuanyi could somehow take her side, but he’s super loyal to Jun Linyuan so even if his love interest says otherwise, I don’t think he would go against him. Remember, Jun Linyuan knows that Feng Wu is trying to awaken Mu Jiuzhou, which is something very desirable. Oh well, dramas never end the way they should and they have to be at least somewhat annoying for us to always ask for more.

🌹 Agni Maha Purana - 77 🌹 ✍️ N. Gangadharan 📚. Prasad Bharadwaj Chapter 27 🌻 Mode of performing the initiation rite - 3 🌻
23. One should then take up a red thread spun by a maiden and measure it six times from the tuft of the hair to the toe and again multiply it three times.
24. Then one should meditate on the Prakṛti in which the universe lies and from which the universe is born, as being present there,.
25. Having tied the nooses of Prakṛti proportional to the number of principles, that thread is placed on an earthen vessel near the pit.
26. Then having meditated upon the principles commencing with the Prakṛti to the earth, following the order of creation, the spiritual teacher should assign them to the body of the disciple.
27. Those (principles), one, five, ten or twelve[5] may be tied individually and given by those who devote their thought on the principles.
28-29. With the five organs of action (one has to create) the entire universe in the order of evolution. Having drawn the subtle principles into one’s self and (having placed) the rope of illusion on the animal, the nature is taken as the creative power, the intellect or the mind as the agent, the five subtle principles as born of intellect and the five elements from the organs of action.
30-31. One has to meditate on these twelve principles in the rope as well as in the body according to his desire. Having made oblations with the residue of offerings according to the order of creation, and hundred oblations to each and every (principle) and then the final oblation, the earthen vessel is covered and is dedicated to the presiding deity of the pot.
32-33. Having duly performed the initial consecration, the devoted disciple is initiated. Then in a place where the wind blows, an arrow of a particular shape and a knife made either of silver or iron as well as all necessary materials are placed; and touched with the principal mystic syllable he should perform the initial consecration ceremony.
