As required by court order, in December, FDA released another batch of documents related to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for ages 18+ and Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for ages 12-15. The productions contain over 200,000 pages of data, including information on a Department of Defense study related to myocarditis that appears to have been mysteriously terminated.
As ICAN supporters will recall, the attorneys who represent ICAN have won several lawsuits related to obtaining the documents FDA relied upon to license COVID-19 vaccines. While the document production for Pfizer ages 16+ is complete, the rest of the documents are still being released.
The December 2023 release of documents related to Moderna’s Spikevax consisted of 1,069 pages, including:
Serious Adverse Events 4.5x higher: An October 8, 2021 Moderna report titled “CBER Requested Tables” provided detailed vaccine adverse event data that had been requested by FDA, including a Safety Overview table showing that solicited serious Grade 3 or Grade 4 systemic adverse reactions were 4.5 times greater in the vaccine arm (17.4%) versus the placebo arm (3.8%).
No safety data collected: In a response to FDA’s request for additional safety data, on September 17, 2021, Moderna  made clear that it had no intention of providing the additional requested data, which consisted of long-term data from original study participants as well as short-term data from the more than ten thousand original placebo participants who were unblinded and then vaccinated. Moderna claimed that analyzing the additional data would “not serve any additional analytical purpose” and additionally admitted “[t]here was no systematic collection or analysis of [adverse reactions]” in the additional data.
Natural immunity ignored: Additional efficacy data was also requested by FDA and supplied in a follow-up response by Moderna on September 28, 2021. Table 4-1 showed that participants in the placebo arm who had a history of SARS-CoV-2 infection at the start of the study had significantly lower case rates than those who had no history of infection. Instead of acknowledging the effectiveness of natural immunity, Moderna insisted that “Due to the small sample size of participants with positive SARS-CoV-2 status at baseline, and the number of COVID-19 cases are too small in these participants, the results can not [sic] be interpreted in a meaningful way.”
Why the interest in shingles? Two documents, dated November 10, 2021 and January 7, 2022, show FDA was very interested in the incidence of herpes zoster (shingles) after vaccination. Note that a previously produced Moderna document provided details on fatal case reports involving herpes zoster.
The December release of documents related to Pfizer’s 12-15 vaccine consisted of 214,549 pages, including:
Military myocarditis study disappears: An April 29, 2022 Pharmacovigilance Plan states that study C4591011 was designed “To assess whether individuals in the US DoD Military Health System (MHS) experience increased risk of safety events of interest, including myocarditis and pericarditis, following receipt of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine.” However, a footnote below Pfizer’s “Action Plan for Important Identified Risk ‘Myocarditis and Pericarditis’” states: “Milestones deleted as this is a voluntary sponsor study (as per FDA … characterize[ing] [the study] as ‘voluntary’ and therefore no longer commitment).” Further investigation led to this October 2023 European Medicines Agency report where a footnote showed that Pfizer requested to terminate the study “based on delays in data access and overlap between C4591011 and on-going parallel studies with respect to key safety endpoints, analyses, and broad target populations.” Because it was not required by FDA, Pfizer decided to terminate it and so one can only speculate what the early results from that particular study of healthy young adults may have shown.
Appendicitis caused by vaccine: A December 10, 2021 document submitted to FDA wherein Pfizer reports there was a case of appendicitis within 4 days of vaccination that the Pfizer investigator, surprisingly, determined was “related” to the vaccine.
Eighteen teenage death reports: A response by Pfizer to FDA regarding post-authorization adverse event reports for ages 12 to 15, included detailed data on 5 fatal U.S. cases and 13 fatal foreign cases. Cases included a 13-year-old boy who died in his sleep three days after vaccination, another 13-year-old boy who died 3 days after vaccination and whose autopsy “showed enlarged heart and fluid surrounding the heart caused by the Covid vaccination” and a 15-year-old girl whose cause of death was listed as “Anoxia cerebral and Cardiac arrest while outcome of the other events was unknown.”
We encourage those interested to download the productions and review the data. ICAN will continue to keep you updated as more documents are released.

And now, because I'm feeling miserable chaotic as fuck, after just posting some banners for Vibes WIP earlier this arvo, I'm going to post a rewritten version of the first scene of Absent That Night.
Note that this is just a first pass, so even those it's technically ~draft two~ there still may be typos, etc etc.
But regardless! I hope you enjoy. ^_^ Any feedback is welcome -- particularly things like would you like to read on, does this make sense, do you have any questions that aren't plot related? (I'm super close to and familiar with this WIP, so I sometimes forget what the reader would and wouldn't know, and I'm not sure if foreshadowing etc would come across correctly.)
Anyway, it's approximately 2.5k words, so really if you read it at all I love you for it. <3
Latrell stared at the blank space on the wall, incensed. It used to host a painting. Much like the sections of wall to his left and right, in fact. Though those paintings were still there. Of course. Voices drifted down the long featureless corridor from his right. “I just don’t understand.” Shrill, piercing, unbelievably loud. A woman accustomed to getting her own way. “We pay all this money, and that is supposed to protect us from situations like these, and now you’re telling me that it doesn’t?” Latrell narrowed his eyes until the wall in front of him almost disappeared. “I understand your frustration, ma’am.” Albie’s voice was low, soothing, a stark contrast. Ever the professional. “And you are correct, your contract with LEAH does guarantee swift retrieval of all listed items. However, the item in question was not on the list. Surely you understand how that might change the situation.” Latrell smiled to himself and moved down the corridor, away from the woman’s increasingly hysterical objections.
Habitually, he dipped mental fingers into the Orn, the waterlike texture of his flow shimmering in his mind’s eye. A few signatures jumped out at him, the paintings lining the corridor. Not the one that was missing. He’d never touched that one before, never even seen it, hadn’t had a chance to familiarise himself. Absolutely no chance of tracking its location.
He blinked, moving away from the Orn and back into the physical world.
The corridor was lined on both sides, no rhyme or reason to the order of the artwork, no overarching theme. The only thing the pieces had in common was their price. The corridor was an exhibition of wealth, not of passion.
At this end it opened up into a large, airy living space, made to seem even larger by the wall of windows directly opposite. They looked out over the centre of the city, all steel and glass and whitewashed concrete. Far off in the distance, the dark line of the waterfront, the ocean stretching to the horizon.
“Nice view,” Albie said from his elbow.
Latrell glanced at her. “You manage to calm Mrs. Bishop down?”
“Calm might be too strong a word.” Albie rolled her eyes. “I think I’ve talked her down from a lawsuit. And she’s going to let us actually do our jobs, so that’s something.”
“It sure is.”
“Oh, c’mon, you know you love me.”
She patted his shoulder, the bad one, and Latrell had to hide his flinch. Albie probably wouldn’t have noticed anyway; she stepped further into the living area, spinning in a slow circle as she took it in. “Got anything yet?”
“Besides the obvious? No.” Latrell rubbed at an eye under his glasses, a headache beginning to tug at his temples. “Honestly I don’t even think there’s any point searching.”
“Naw, don’t be like that. It’s not our job. Besides, he’s gotta make a mistake eventually. Today might be our lucky day.”
Latrell seriously doubted it, but he moved next to her to examine the table.
It was an ostentatious piece of furniture if he’d ever seen one. Swirling patterns from the original tree paired with spaces of black and clear resin, sitting on legs that seemed to Latrell at best impractical and at worst dangerous for the tens of thousands of dollars he was sure the tabletop cost.
Not that it would be worth that now.
Etched directly into the resin — deep enough that it hit the centuries-old wood in some places, small shavings dusting the surface around the gouges — was a series of lines, swirling around each other. An artwork in itself, really, evocative of water, or perhaps a representation of wind. Latrell couldn’t look at it without thinking of his flow. And in the centre, a single word.
Nox
Latrell brushed his gloved fingers over the edge of the carvings. They were deep yet smooth, nothing rushed or crude about them. Each line a separate groove. Not made with anything as pedestrian as a knife. Perhaps a hammer and chisel. A specialised instrument, at the very least.
“He’s getting bolder.” Albie stalked around the table as if to view the signature from every angle. “This is bigger than anything else we’ve seen.”
“More space to work with, maybe. Not often the most expensive item in a room is a table.” Latrell traced the sharp angles of the ‘N’. “Did the Bishops tell you where they were last night?”
“Dinner at the Station House, then apparently they went to a friend’s house to kick on. No plan to stay the night, but that’s what ended up happened. Got home about three hours ago, took them an hour to discover the theft.”
Surprising it was that fast. The apartment was big enough they could’ve spent days inside without visiting every room.
“Do they often stay out all night after a dinner?”
Albie was at the head of the table, arms crossed. “Took a bit of finagling, but I reckon so, yeah. Mrs. Bishop wouldn’t admit it but the way she talked gives me the impression it’s not an uncommon occurrence.”
“So no way to be certain they wouldn’t return, but the odds were pretty good.” Latrell massaged his temple with two fingers. “Still, he wouldn’t leave anything to chance. Would’ve gotten in early. Security cameras?”
The hopeful uptick in his voice made Albie smile. “Nothing.”
“I fucking hate this guy.”
“Oh, I know.” Albie’s voice was teasing, but there was a note of censure behind it. Latrell kept his eyes on the table so she wouldn’t see his wince.
Fucking Nox. The man had been a thorn in Latrell’s side for nearly three years, and that thorn was quickly turning into an entire branch.
LEAH’s Artefact Recovery Division served the clients who could afford to have their most valuable pieces insured with something more than money. Every Agent assigned to the unit had an affinity for object tracking; a location on the Orn that allowed them to see, touch, familiarise themselves with a certain item, and then use the Orn to find it. Latrell had been assigned to the ARD eight years ago, a consolation prize after an on-the-job injury had caused the police to fire him. He’d met Albie about twelve months later, and they’d been partnered six months after that.
Most of the time an ARD Agent’s job was fairly simple. If a thief managed to bypass the comprehensive security systems a LEAH client could afford, they tended to know which piece would get them the most on the black market. Unfortunately for them, so did the Agents, so the pieces were already listed and a part of an Agent’s repertoire. A brief look at what item was missing and the relevant Agent briefly checking out the Orn would usually locate the piece.
Usually. Nox was a different story.
He had an uncanny ability to target only those items that Agents hadn’t yet had a chance to itemise. Generally new acquisitions, often those on the books to be added to a client’s list within the next few days. It was specific enough that there’d been talk of Nox having some inside source.
Latrell wasn’t sure that was true. But it was getting to the point that he’d have to agree or figure out a more compelling theory soon.
Because the last six pieces that Nox had stolen — the last six households where he’d taken something and then destroyed something else, picking a room and defacing the most expensive item to leave his signature and no doubt of who it was that had committed the theft — had all been on Latrell’s register.
Once was an anomaly. Twice was coincidence. Three times was a pattern. Six times got people asking questions.
The sharp trill of Latrell’s phone cut through his musing. He answered it without looking at the screen. “Latrell.”
“Good morning, Agent,” a voice purred in his ear. Male. Smooth. Smug. “Enjoying yourself, I trust?”
“Who is this?” Latrell snapped. Albie raised an eyebrow, and he held up a hand. The voice was utterly unfamiliar, which raised a host of problems, chief among which was— “How did you get this number?”
“I have resources.” The man managed to convey the wave of his hand with the tone of his voice. “I should think you would know this by now.”
“Look, whoever you think I am, you’re mistaken. You’ve clearly got the wrong number, and I’m busy right now, so—”
“Forgive me. I thought you’d pardon the intrusion, given that it’s my handiwork you’re currently admiring.”
“What?” Latrell spun. Pointless. There was no one else in the room. “Fuck off. You think I’m going to fall for that?”
A chuckle in his ear, silky and deep. Whoever it was, they had a hell of a voice for radio. “Is it really that improbable that I would contact you, Agent Latrell?”
Latrell stopped.
Forced his mind back into its box. There was any number of reason the caller would know his name. No need to get ahead of himself. No reason to let his thoughts careen out of control down paths that made no sense—
“Have you seen the Michelson, by the way? It truly is a stunning piece. They say his use of colour is unrivalled.”
Latrell’s heart tripped. Stumbled. Caught its balance at a speed that felt unhealthy. They hadn’t known which piece had been stolen until they arrived. That information hadn’t been publicised. It hadn’t even been passed along to LEAH yet.
“Latrell,” Albie said quietly.
He waved in her direction again. Turned away. “Okay, so you’ve managed to find out some information. Congrats. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna believe—”
Agent,” the man cut in again, “If you examine the table from the end closest to the couch, I believe that will be proof enough.”
The reference to the table, the knowledge of the signature, was proof enough. Nothing that had ever been released to the press. And it was unusual, moreso than any other scene. Not a coffee machine. Not a couch. Not, perhaps most memorably, an entire sound system. Never the artworks themselves, but always an item of incredible value — generally more than Latrell’s annual paycheck — marked, dismantled, defaced. Ruined.
Latrell stepped around the table. Stared down at it for a few long seconds. Saw only swirls and whisps and curving, branching lines.
He squinted a little, tilted his head, and it jumped out at him like an optical illusion snapping into focus. Seamlessly integrated into the pattern, a series of letters, distinct and separate from the larger, blocky moniker.
Hello, Latrell
“The hell…” The words were faint.
The man on the phone chuckled again. “You’re welcome. I am quite sure your boss will be very curious as to the meaning of that.”
“What the—”
“Apologies, Agent, but I really must be going. Places to go, paintings to fence. You know how it is. Though if I may offer some advice?”
He paused. Not long enough for Latrell to formulate a response.
“You really should make an effort to leave work earlier. Eight pm every night this week? It’s a recipe for burnout.”
Latrell dropped the phone from his ear, staring at the screen. The unknown number stared back at him, stark black numbers on a too-white screen.
Implausible. Impractical. Impossible. Beyond that, beyond the logistics and the motivation and the feasibilityof it all, it was just fucking insane. If he was right, if the man on the phone was who he thought it was, then he’d done all that, found Latrell’s number, tracked his movements, knew that he’d be at this crime scene, knew enough about his life to know when he was leaving work every night, all with the ultimate goal of calling him to— what? Gloat? Provide a clue? Hear the sound of his own fucking voice?
Each possibly theory was more insane than the last. Latrell swept off his glasses and pinched at his eyes with a thumb and forefinger.
“Brishan!” Albie all but shoved him, and Latrell realised it wasn’t the first time she’d tried to get his attention.
“Sorry,” he said, too distracted to bother with sincerity, mind racing, whirling, unmoored. He shoved his glasses back on, tried to school his expression back into neutrality. “I was just—”
“Who was that?” she demanded.
“I don’t know. It was nothing. Nobody. A prank call.” Yeah, right.
“Who’d they say it was?”
“They didn’t, actually.” He realised the truth of the statement even as it left his mouth. Not that it mattered. The content of the conversation left very little doubt just who he’d been speaking to. As much as his brain was trying to find ways to deny it. “Never actually identified themselves. They just implied— but it wasn’t really— I mean, I’m not sure—”
He exhaled, rubbed at his eye again. Spoke without lowering his hand. “I actually— I think it was Nox.”
Beat. Then: “What?”
Latrell kept rubbing at his eye. Didn’t really think that question deserved an answer.
Albie took a few moments to realise that was his conclusion, then added, “Are you sure?”
“Fuck, no, I’m not sure!” Latrell dropped his hand in time to catch the hurt look flicker over Albie’s face, shoulders tense, spine straight. He sucked in a deep breath, tried to modulate his tone. “No, I’m not sure. But… well, he was certainly pretty convincing.”
Albie chewed her lower lip for a moment. “We’re gonna have to report this.”
Irritation flickered hot and fluid in Latrell’s chest. He loosened his jaw, endeavoured to keep his voice entirely level when he said, “Of course I’m going to report it.”
It still came out sharp. Too sharp, if the slight lift to Albie’s eyebrows was anything to go by.
Latrell closed his eyes for a beat. Shoved down the slow boil of annoyance licking at his insides, forced himself to inhale, exhale. Slowly. Repeated, “I’m going to report it.”
Some of her scepticism faded, though an element of obstinance remained in the jut of her chin, the wrinkle between her brows. “Good.”
Latrell’s jaw locked. He turned away from her, back towards the table. Let his eyes skip over those two horrifying words, embedded in the centre of a criminal’s signature. Abruptly wished he’d chosen something else to look at.
“It’s… weird, right?” Albie’s voice had softened. “After the last few months…”
“Yeah it fucking is.” He sucked in a deep breath, gestured towards the table. “And this doesn’t help.”
Albie stepped up next to him. He didn’t really want to show her this. Didn’t really have a choice. It wasn’t exactly something he could hide, couldn’t change the signature so those two words were no longer a part of it.
But it was okay. Most people so far believed what he thought, that he was just a random target. Believed that he had no idea why Nox was fixated on him. Believed that he was just as in the dark as the rest of them.
But things kept piling up. Coincidence upon coincidence. As a cop Latrell had been trained to believe coincidences didn’t exist. But coming up with any other theory now seemed even harder.
He knew the instant Albie saw it. Felt her tension lurch like a physical presence in the room.
“Oh,” she said, quiet, loaded.
“I know.”
Albie turned to him, her face as earnest as her voice. “You’re fucked.”
Latrell removed his glasses to pinch his eyes again. “I know.”

why nearly every character in all of the fnaf musicals are insane in distinctly different but still very much insane ways: an essay
(this is like 80% from memory and its. checks time 2:15am as of writing this so excuse inaccuracies.)
mark: oh my god starting off with a bang, are we? okay okay. he was there for ONE NIGHT. one. one night. he spent like basically all of it crying in the corner because of puppets. theyre puppets. freddy is literally punted across the room on multiple occasions YOU ARE A FULL GROWN ADULT MARK. "in all my dreams i see / a maze of halls with bloody walls / and countless scrawls reminding me "it's me!"" YOU WERE THERE FOR ONE NIGHT. he IMMEDIATELY decides that the solution to this is not 1) taking it up with his manager 2) just fucking quitting bUT INSTEAD THAT ITS 3) BRING A DUFFEL BAG FULL OF WEAPONS, INCLUDING SEVERAL KNIVES AND GUNS TO HIS WORKPLACE INTENDING TO KILL THE ANIMATRONICS YOU WERE HIRED TO PROTECT. AND THEN THE ONLY THING HE DID TO CHANGE HIS IDENTITY AFTER NEARLY KILLING A MAN AND GETTING CAUGHT WAS TO DYE HIS HAIR. he didnt even change his ADDRESS. dipshit. he acts all tough and crap afterward too like he spent 40 years in prison. he was reduced to literal actual tears by puppets. god i love him so much.
nate: sassed the man holding a knife to one of the animatroniocs he, AGAIN, was HIRED to PROTECT. drove the animatronics to a man they KNOW is willing to use guns to protect himself in the FIRST PLACE. also he just ??? fuckign Had bb on hand like. did they give him bb when he quit the first time?? like. okay. say you have to distract an easily distracted but immensely murderous animatronic and your first thought is "hmm what if i use that rc car that looks like a child from my old workplace". bitch if its been 7 years since i worked there and witnessed a traumatizing event im gonna bury that fucker at the bottom of my closet not just have it with me. also his first concern when he was faced with a very much "i am going to die" situation is that he hasnt caught up on a tv show yet???? nate buddy please i appreciate you but get some self-worth and some therapy while youre at it
aj: he was nearly killed by an animatronic as big as he was, stopped only by like a foot or smth, and then IMMEDIATELY accepted the transfer to ANOTHER place with animatronics in it like. why would you actively choose to keep working with fazbear entertainment. im sure literally any other company ever would look at aj "nearly killed two men because he wanted to work more hours" purple guy and hire him in a millisecond. SPEAKING OF WHICH, HE NEARLY KILLED TWO MEN BECAUSE HE WANTED TO WORK MORE HOURS. DO YOU NEED THE MONEY THAT BADLY OR DO YOU JUST REALLY FUCKING. WANT TO WORK AT FAZBEARS THAT MUCH. i honeslty cant decide which is worse. he also mocked the guy with a chainsaw who burst through the wall not ten minutes before??? who was also like 2 feet away from him???? what were you EXPECTING him to do??????????????????? give you more hours????????????????????????
phone guy: yeah.
mike: looked at the absolute flaming dumpster fire that was the lawsuits, filthy animatronics, extremely low budget, and EXTREMELY sketchy boss that was the new fazbears and said "yeah i can work with this." also i think he got killed by pan stan which is such a sad way to go my god. i dont have quite as much to say about him but i DO love him very much and he REALLY SHOULD HAVE gotten a better job.
lizzy: other than the fact she hasnt quit fazent yet (which is excusable considering it looks like shes looking into the sketchy stuff and is probably mostly there for mikes death), actually not that bad. props to her tbh if i had to deal with a boss like phone guy id go considerably more feral.
those police officers who showed up for like 2 scenes in the og fnaf musical: just fucking, like. let an actual murder perp ESCAPE because they Forgot To Lock The Car And Went To Go Get Food and then just. DIDNT REPORT IT. because this, apparently, is NOT the first time theyve let someone escape, and because theyd LOSE THEIR JOBS IF THEY REPORTED IT. if the police is THAT bad in this town no fucking wonder phone guy's gotten away with everything so far.

About the power of the SC to overrule a law, I have a somewhat naive question: say that a Sentae + Congress manage to pass a law allowing abortion until a certain date. Isn't it more difficult for the SC to say that it is against the US Constitution rather than what they did rn, which is to say that the constitution doesn't guarantee it? I feel that the "burden of proof" is not in the same direction in these two cases. Or could they just say that it's not within the purview of (1/2)
(2/2) the federal level to impose this to the states? I have to admit that I'm still a bit baffled by the SC powers (I'm the French anon from last time), which combine the powers of 3 different courts in France. Not to say our Vth Republic is all well and good, mind you, far from it. In our case, if the president has the majority in parliament, they can do whatever they want (within constitutionally possible things). Wish you all the best and hope you'll feel better in spite of the circumstances
Unfortunately, no. First of all, a large number of people are still assuming that the current SCOTUS is acting according to a moral and coherent legal theory, and that there's some rationalization behind their decisions other than "find every way we possibly can to remove rights from groups of people that we don't like and/or ideologically disagree with." They've recently handed down a raft of decisions dismantling the Establishment Clause -- separation of church and state, which one might well cite as one of the founding principles of America -- including the opinion written by Gorsuch on how public school sports coaches forcing their team to pray with them is totally okay, constitutionally speaking! They also struck down the law in Maine that barred private religious schools from receiving public state funding. And yet, if a Muslim or Jewish person tried to do this exact same thing, i.e. force non-members of their religion to pray with them in public, or demand that the state fund their private madrassa or yeshiva, and there was a lawsuit about it, I guarantee that someone on SCOTUS would find a way to ensure the law only applies to freedom of religion for Christians. (Ten bucks on Alito, anyone?)
This is the same SCOTUS that, ONE DAY before they handed down Dobbs, argued that states have no individual right to regulate handguns; the Second Amendment supposedly guarantees that any individual has a right to carry one for self-defense. That's the argument they used in striking down key portions of New York state's law requiring permits for concealed carry. You might recognize this as just flat-out MAKING SHIT UP for what they want the Constitution to say, by coming up with the decision first and backfilling the rationale post facto. So if you're following, this SCOTUS says that states can't regulate handguns, and the Constitution requires them to be freely available at the federal level, but they can regulate abortions, and the Constitution does not require that they be freely available at the federal level. This is what people mean when they say that guns in America literally have more rights than women right now.
So if Congress had passed a law formalizing the right to an abortion (which is extremely unlikely, for all the reasons previously discussed), it doesn't necessarily have any more protection from judicial review than just a long-standing Supreme Court precedent (which is what Roe and Casey were). Some asshole Republican Attorney General or whackadoodle Christofascist advocacy group can still file suit against that law in court, it can still go up the food chain, and if SCOTUS decides that the Constitution does not protect the right to an abortion, they can still overrule that law on those exact same grounds. That's what their job is. The idea that Democrats need to "restrain judicial review," or stop judges from performing their constitutionally appointed function, is, uh, an obvious distraction from the fact that those judges are terrible and were appointed by a terrible president. So the Democrats basically needed to develop superpowers and mythical foresight and prevent Republican crimes before they even happened! Like Minority Report! That sounds like a real plan to me!
As I have pointed out before, they didn't need to take Dobbs; they can just reject cases that reach SCOTUS without even having to explain why, and in fact that's what happens to most of them. The fact that they deliberately took it, and then tailored the ruling to be as maximalist as possible, was a clear-cut case of supposedly impartial judges acting exactly like partisan operatives, because that is precisely why the Republican-appointed justices were picked. Not only that, but they lied in their confirmation hearings to keep secret their true intentions about Roe and ensure that they squeaked through even a Republican-controlled Senate. And yet, now, what can anyone do about that? Try to charge them with perjury (as it is obviously a federal crime to lie under oath) after the fact? We don't even know how that would work, because they've made such a deliberate mess of all the customary rules and institutions on which American democracy runs. When that's the case, we might have all the blatant evidence of lawbreaking imaginable, but they still get away with it.
As I explained in one of my previous posts, the actual question at issue in Dobbs was whether the state of Mississippi could make a law forbidding abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. If SCOTUS was acting in good faith, they would have produced a ruling that addressed that state law and context specifically. The fact that they used it as a blanket opportunity to unilaterally overrule the right to an abortion in all states that had not explicitly formalized the right otherwise is proof that they were acting to fulfill the Republican party's long-term and clearly and constantly stated goal of overturning Roe. The fact that some people simply cannot accept this, and are desperate to find ways to blame the Democrats instead, is.... not heartening. To say the least.

This is an EXO-CBX appreciation post.
A brief break from our usual programming to shoutout EXO-CBX for standing up to unjust treatment. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been and must still be in their shoes, publicly going up against such a massive corporation that has heretofore controlled their careers…but I know their members have their backs on this, and hopefully this will set a precedent to help others in the industry.
I became a fan of EXO in the summer of 2014, which was, to put it simply, a very uncertain and strange time to become a fan of the group. Seeing the information about the lawsuit has caused me to think back to my initial impressions of them, and what a journey it has been with them over the years. This is an EXO-CBX appreciation post.
Xiumin was one of the first members I remember noticing during different performances and shows. Sure, he was uniquely adorable (protect the hamster), but I was more surprised by the kind of understated maturity he radiated within his cuteness; he would be playful and mess around with the others, but there was always this quiet calm he had in the midst of EXO chaos. It’s a tough job, being the eldest, needing to balance different roles. He’s always been a bit more in the background—happy to support and add on, rather than take center stage, and you can tell how his members appreciate him.
What a rock Jongdae has been. It’s amazing how consistent he is, how loyal and supportive he has continued to be in tough times. It’s telling when every member of a group agrees that this is the kindest person around, a vocal powerhouse who’s gotten such rough treatment over the years for falling in love and having kids. Through it all, Jongdae has stayed gentle and steady. Every member brings something so necessary to the group, but I think of Jongdae as being, in some respects, the soul of the group.
And then there's Baekhyun—a clever mischief-maker, the apotheosis of beagle-line chaos, our sweet songbird. From the start, I’ve been torn between fond exasperation and bewilderment watching his variety show antics, because it’s impossible not to smile at this funny little brother’s actions. As someone whose personality probably more closely resembles Suho’s, I deeply appreciate friends who don’t let me take myself too seriously or get stuck in ideas of perfectionism, and I see lightening everyone up as part of Baekhyun's charm. No matter how much Baekhyun (and squad) tease their leader, there’s such love that runs underneath in the inside jokes and affectionate roasts. Baekhyun is known as a prankster and joker, but within that he looks after his people. Even after all he’s gone through for having a personal life, he really maintains that joy and warmth.
I know it's important not to put celebrities on a pedestal--everyone is human. This post isn't saying these men are perfect angelic robots, just that from everything I've seen in following this group for nearly ten years, I have faith in them to stick together and overcome whatever faces them; and I know from the outpouring of support that EXO-L will cheer them on the whole way.

I don't think I've talked about OOTD, since that same day my dad passed away and my brother called me like ten minutes after I finished to watch the video, so I couldn't enjoy the song for too long, but that may be a post for later, to vent a little.
SO, I was talking with my friend that introduced me to them a year ago, and I want to share my impression on them in this MV (because I don't know how to analyse the video itself =P). My friend said it was a nice summary XD
"Everyone was exceptionally hot, the juxtaposition “Sua-sport's bike” AMAZING;
Jiu wants to be called our Goddess? That’s fitting, let us officially start a religion in her name;
Dami… Dami is Amazing, she always delivers in her raps/parts, I've got no words;
Handong- I don’t know what to say, the homunculus in my mind screams everytime I see/hear her and runs in circles;
Gahyeon, the apple of my eye… I don’t know why they had her film in a Lidl, but she’s gorgeous nonetheless;
And I love Yoohyeon’s parts, then when she sings “don’t you wanna feel it, come and ride!”... I’ll ride anywhere with you, Yoohyeon-ssi;
It makes me laugh though that they chose Siyeon to film some scenes with a car, am I mistaken, or does she not have a license, yet? XD I love her red hair, but I’m not particularly convinced of the hairstyle, I personally love her with straight/wavy hair, but I’ll live"
[the italian version:
Tumblr media
All in all, I really enjoyed both song and video, I've read some interesting analisys that said the song is a criticism about people being too superficial these days, wanting too show their best side at all cost, or something like that (I apologise, I can't think because I'm sick these days) and it's something I agree with and I particularly appreciate that they made this song, since the k-pop industry is still deeply rooted in the belief to show a life of success by (badly) hiding the many restrictions idols have to live with, the need to always appear perfect and never go against their companies (or risk having the netizens against them, together with a lawsuit) and always try to mantain an unsustainable beauty standard, lifestyle. or at least, that's how I interpreted what I've read.
I'm sad we couldn't give them a win for this comeback too, and I hope they don't regret anything they've done for it. For sure I'll still love them even without their wins <3

Buck & Eddie: There’s no I in US or TEAM-Parallels
In 3x6 “Monsters”, Eddie explained the importance of the way Buck needs to consider “US” or the TEAM [THEM] whenever he makes a decision, after Buck told him “I” needed my job back and “I” missed being here when he made Eddie talk to him.  Buck filed a lawsuit against the LAFD which prevented them from being able to talk to each other and Eddie ignored Buck or was short with him after Buck had been allowed to return to work.  Eddie told him there were a lot of “I”s in his explanation and Eddie’s comment parallels with all the conversations Buck had with his ex-girlfriends during their breakups or during their non-apologies to him after they returned to L.A. for a visit.  Each of Buck’s ex-girlfriends said the word “I” a lot during their conversations with him which means their idea of a relationship had never been about Buck or them as a TEAM; it had been solely about them as individuals along with what they could get from him; hence their constant use of the word “I”. The difference between Eddie and Buck’s conversation when compared against theirs is Eddie explained the importance of being a part of a TEAM with him so that Buck would realize how his actions not only affected Buck but how they also affected Eddie and Christopher too since the three of them are an US or a TEAM/FAMILY.  Eddie described the way relationships are supposed to work during his conversation with Buck and Buck understood him.
GIF #1 3x6 “Monsters” After Buck told him that he just wanted Eddie to talk to him, Eddie asked him, “When you decided to sue the department, to make Cap the bad guy, did you ever stop for a minute and think of what that could do to us?”  Buck replied, “Look I just…I needed my job back. I missed…I missed being here. Being part of the team. I never meant for anyone to get hurt” and then Eddie said, “There are a lot of Is in there”.  He was telling Buck how all his focus during the lawsuit had been on himself instead of him considering how it would hurt Eddie and everyone else too.
GIF #2 3x6 “Monsters” Eddie said, “There are a lot of Is in there”.  In 2x18 “This Life We Choose” When ex-girlfriend #2 broke up with Buck, she used the word “I” a lot when she said, “When I met you, ten stories up over a collapsing high rise” and Buck said, “Exactly!” she continued with “I’m just starting to really understand what that means”. He asked her if she wanted him to quit his job and she said, “No, I would never…I would never ask you to do that because I know it’s who you are. I’m just not sure…” and Buck replied, “If it’s who you are” and she said, “I don’t know yet”.  She said the word I so much and never considered how her interpretation of their relationship would affect Buck when she broke up with him right after his leg had been crushed by a ladder truck.
GIF #3 3x6 “Monsters” Eddie said, “There are a lot of Is in there”.  In 3x18 “What’s Next?” When ex-girlfriend #1 returned and never apologized for the way she treated Buck she said, “I was a person whose life revolved around everybody else’s problems. I had no identity other than the people that I was helping. I had to leave everything that I knew so that I could remember who I actually am”.  Not once during her long speech to Buck of what she wanted did she apologize to him for abandoning him and not telling him she hadn’t planned to come back.  He told her she deserved to be happy even though she hurt him.
GIF #4 3x6 “Monsters” Eddie said, “There are a lot of Is in there”.  In 5x18 “Starting Over” ex-girlfriend #3 said, “I’m sorry you’re still upset about the story. If I hadn’t of broken it... I wasn’t trying to hurt you… I was just trying to get the truth out there…You knew who I was when we started dating”.  Buck responded, “I thought I could learn to live with it”. Not once during their conversation did she take responsibility for her actions and she didn’t apologize to him. The good thing was he realized that he could be the one to end it instead of waiting for her to do it like the others had done when they broke up with him.
GIF #5 3x6 “Monsters” Eddie continued, “Your actions, your choices, they impact the rest of us. That’s what it means to be a part of a team”.  He defined the attributes of being a part of a good TEAM/RELATIONSHIP for Buck and he understood.
GIF #6 3x6 “Monsters” Buck said, “You’re right. I didn’t think about what could happen”.  After he told Eddie the real reason behind him filing the lawsuit was because he was mad at Bobby for not letting him go back to work; that he was also upset that they were moving on without him and there wasn’t anything he could do about it, Eddie understood Buck’s side of it too when he recognized the anger and understood how hurt Buck had been for filing the lawsuit. Buck then said “But I get it and I really am sorry. So whatever it takes for you to forgive me…”  Eddie responded, “I forgive you”.  They made up but that was Buck’s first apology and he apologized again for hurting US, the TEAM or THEM after a few weeks passed.
GIF #7 3x9“Fallout” Buck apologized for the second time after he realized his actions hurt both Eddie and Christopher.  He said, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there Eddie. You and Chris needed me and I had my head so far up my own behind with that stupid lawsuit” but Eddie said, “We’re way past that Buck” and Buck said, “I’m not! I should have been there”.  Buck used a lot of “I”s during his second apology too but those “I”s were different from the ones he mentioned during his first apology because he admitted that him not being there for Eddie and Chris or US and THEM had affected all three of them.  Eddie said “We’re” which means he was already considering the three of them as a TEAM/FAMILY/US.

absolutely wild how explicitly leftist leverage is. i just hit s3 on my rewatch and every single episode is like “hey have you thought lately about how fucked the prison system in america is? how about how easy it is for rich men to buy political offices? and also labor rights and how bosses keep dangerous jobs from unionizing so they don’t have to put in protections for workers? the fact that insurance companies can choose who lives and dies? companies in general being allowed to weigh actual people’s deaths against the cost of settling a couple lawsuits and choosing the latter? thought about all that recently?” and they just let that be on television in two thousand and ten

Y al final (ya se van) Ya se van Aunque las primeras veces se nos van
Itachi went to visit Sasuke in Konoha three months later.
'He doesn't live here...'
The eldest of the Uchiha repeated Naruto's words slowly as if they had been spoken in a foreign language he had little knowledge of.
He had sent Sasuke to Konoha to stay with Naruto and Gaara, because he knew it would do him good, as Naruto was a solid constant for his little brother. And since Sasuke now refused to use a cell phone, the news he received from the village mayor was the only way for Itachi to keep track of what the other was doing.
But the Uzumaki had failed to tell him that his brother hadn't been living under the same roof as him and his husband for at least two months.
'And where else could he live?'
'Hum…' Naruto scratched his cheek with his index finger. Gaara, next to him, was very amused, though his expression didn't reveal anything of the sort.
'He's living in your house, Itachi-san', replied the redhead.
'My house?'
Itachi noticed that he was holding the teacup loosely as he processed the information and pressed his fingers more firmly against the ceramic.
Sasuke was living in the Uchiha house.
The one in the middle of the woods that held the old family business, timber harvest.
The one that hadn't been inhabited for at least fifteen years.
The one that was in the process of changing owners by adverse possession.
The one that would be given to the new owner, because the lawsuit had been favorable to her.
The one that already had a person living there, since that person had won the lawsuit by adverse possession.
Itachi was surprised. Not surprised as he had been to receive Sasuke's call from the police station requesting his presence and services as a lawyer because he had been arrested in an anti-corruption police operation accused of tax evasion and fraud. Still, quite surprised.
'My house... The house where Hinata-san lives?'
Gaara sipped tea from his own cup not understanding exactly why the older Uchiha was having such a hard time understanding what he was being told and why Naruto looked like he wanted to disappear in smoke: Sasuke was living with Hinata in the forest house. What was the problem?
'Huh, Itachi grumbled, raising his eyebrows for a second and smiling slightly against the rim of his cup. 'It's a bit...'
'Crazy?' Naruto offered.
'Unexpected.'
Itachi returned the empty cup to the saucer on the coffee table next to the papers from the lawsuit of handing over the house to its new owner. He had come to visit Sasuke, first, and also hand over the new scripture. The house was an inheritance, yes, but the case was simple and solid: Hinata had lived in the house for more than ten years, Itachi didn't want it, Sasuke even less, having sold his part to Itachi years before when he tried to start a business, so giving it up for a token amount was all very simple.
The things revolving around Hyuuga Hinata all seemed to be very simple and easy indeed.
'Are you sure you don't want me to go with you, Itachi-san?' Naruto asked for the third time.
'No, it's okay, Naruto-kun', Itachi replied with a small smile. The day was cloudy and chilly, ideal for a walk. 'I would like to walk alone for a while.'
Naruto nodded and watched Itachi's back disappear.
The path to the old house had been paved and signposted, which was very helpful for pedestrians, and was still familiar enough for Itachi. The trees were the same, the markings on the fences, the crops, even the small altars to the spirits of the forest. Only, of course, older.
'Nii-san!'
The call, familiar and strange, made him stop in his tracks.
Sasuke hadn't called him that in years.
When he turned around, he almost didn't recognize his younger brother in the man coming towards him on an old bicycle. Physically, there was nothing different about Sasuke; he hadn't changed his haircut, he hadn't gained or lost weight, he hadn't grown a beard, he hadn't tattooed his face. He didn't even change his expression when he saw Itachi on the road, he just pedaled a few more meters, stopped the bike next to his brother and dismounted with one leg on either side of the center barrel. He didn't smile on the outside, but his eyes and his entire being vibrated with something Itachi couldn't name.
'What are you doing here, nii-san?'
'Came to see how you are doing', replied the eldest. 'Among other things.'
Sasuke dismounted the bike completely. The basket at the front was filled with returnable shopping bags. Behind, tied to the croup, a box of fruits and vegetables.
'Back from shopping?'
'Hn.'
They started walking together the rest of the way. At the top of the hill they could see the two pillars that flanked the entrance, now without a gate. They crossed in solemn silence as if they were entering a high court in a fantasy world for the first time.
'I was with Naruto and Gaara earlier. That's when they told me you weren't living with them.'
'Hn', Sasuke agreed. 'That's why you were on your way to the house.'
'That, and because I need to deliver the deed to the new owner.'
'Will Hinata be able to keep the house?'
'Hinata, is it?'
They both stopped walking at the mention of the woman's name. Sasuke was staring at Itachi and Itachi was staring back, both trying to read the feelings behind the mask of indifference they were trying to maintain.
Giving up, not because he felt he had lost something, but because it made no sense and there was no reason to hide anything from Itachi, the younger shrugged his shoulders, nodded and started walking again, pushing the old bike that went on creaking.
Itachi smiled and followed him.
'We're together', Sasuke explained as his brother placed himself beside him on the trail again. 'Hinata and me.'
'I think I got that part, little brother.'
'Why didn't you tell me that the house was occupied and almost being rendered over?'
'You had already sold your share to me and you didn't want to hear about Konoha, I didn't think you would mind.'
'You're right', Sasuke conceded and Itachi smiled a little.
'What have you been doing around here?'
'Whatever there is to do', Sasuke sounded satisfied, which was better than resigned. 'I help Hinata with the house and Naruto with city affairs. Old Sarutobi needed someone to help with the chicken coop, Ino needed help with the florist's accounting system, and there are many parents who need someone to help their kids with their homework.'
'You, taking care of children?'
'They are not my children, which makes it easier.'
The house loomed before them, decrepit on the outside, looking like a witch's house in a children's movie. Itachi stopped, but Sasuke kept walking until he noticed that the older man's footsteps had stopped.
'Nostalgic?', asked Sasuke.
'It would be impossible not to be.'
The youngest of the Uchiha nodded in agreement. He left Itachi there for a few minutes while he went to the cabin next to the house to put away his bike. He slung the bag handles over his shoulders and took the box with both hands, heading for the main entrance of the house.
'Nii-san?'
Itachi looked away from the house to focus on his brother who almost didn't look like his brother. No. He did, yes. He looked like the imaginative boy playing make-believe with Naruto in the woods; he looked like the ambitious young man who wanted more for his life; he looked like the enterprising man who wanted to be on top of the world. He looked like the brother Itachi forgot still existed inside.
'Sasuke-kun, did you remember to buy potatoes for the curry?'
The front door opened and Hinata walked out, already talking to Sasuke. The man didn't smile, but his posture relaxed. He handed one of the bags for her to inspect and Hinata smiled brightly when she spotted the potatoes. Then Itachi.
'Who is it?'
'My brother.'
'Are you not going to invite him in?'
'It's his house', Sasuke replied, but it was obvious he was teasing her. 'Or rather, it's yours now.'
'Hinata-san', Itachi took a few steps forward, greeting her with a brief bow, to which Hinata responded in kind. 'I came to deliver the new deed to you personally.'
Hinata nodded and smiled, taking a few steps to meet Itachi. He lifted the folder as if to give her the papers immediately, but the woman interrupted him.
'Stay for dinner', she invited.
'It's getting late...'
'The more reason to stay, no use going back now.'
Hinata's smile, her calm and sincere manner, was refreshing. Itachi felt relaxed and was able to understand a little better what was different about Sasuke. He knew and understood that women had no duty or responsibility to be "safe havens" and "therapists" to men, but he knew at that moment how a person like Hinata could do someone like Sasuke good.
Itachi nodded, needing no further encouragement.
'Have you eaten the curry that Sasuke-kun makes, Itachi-san?'
'Not in a long time.'
Sasuke was no longer waiting for them at the door, having gone inside to put away the groceries. Being winter, night falls fast, although there was still some time left before dinner.
'I'm glad you took the trouble to come personally, Itachi-san.' Hinata bent down to pick up the shopping bag with the potatoes she had left on the porch. 'And that you're still taking care of him.'
'You too.'
Hinata didn't answer, but shook her head once to indicate that she had heard. He entered the house and went straight to the kitchen, leaving the eldest at the entrance to look at the changes she had made to the house that had once been his childhood home. Hinata smiled to herself, because Sasuke used to do the same thing, with the same hazy look.
Itachi took a deep breath. It no longer had the oppressive smell from his memories. He heard Sasuke and Hinata's muffled voices in the kitchen talking about the dish and the ingredients, about putting away the groceries, about something they had to do the next day. Sasuke chuckled and the sound of a cork being removed from a bottle of wine brought the older man out of the trance he had been in.
Uchiha Itachi didn't live there – had not been in twenty-five years – everything was different, nothing reminded him of his childhood except the general architecture and surroundings, because inside there wasn't a single remnant of furniture or wallpaper from the past. He walked in, looking around, feeling like it was the first time.
He walked to the kitchen entrance and a warm feeling hit him as he saw Sasuke roll up his sweater sleeves to wash the potatoes and carrots and Hinata welcoming him with a glass of red wine. Uchiha Itachi didn't live there and he felt at home.

Disturbing video footage has emerged showing Joe Biden repeatedly kicking his dog in the head, adding weight to the accusations that the president in a serial animal abuser.
The footage of Biden comes from a past incident as he exited Marine One.
As he left the helicopter, you can clearly see Biden kicking Commander in the head.
Newsaddicts.com reports: According to a Judicial Watch source, President Biden beats his dogs. Judicial Watch said it has learned he has punched and kicked his dogs.
“It is beyond belief that, even after Judicial Watch exposed their attacking 10 Secret Service personnel, Joe and Jill Biden have continued to let their dog menace and attack Secret Service and White House staff. Let’s be blunt: the dangerous dog could kill someone,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The ongoing Biden administration cover-up of the Biden dog attacks on Secret Service agents is dangerous corruption.”
Commander, the dog of Vice President Joe Biden, has relocated from the White House to the doghouse.
A spokesperson for first lady Jill Biden stated that Commander was relocated after injuring White House staff and U.S. Secret Service officers nearly a dozen times in the past year.
Commander, Biden’s 2-year-old German shepherd, recently attacked a Secret Service agent for the eleventh time since he arrived at the White House as a puppy in 2021. The dog was removed just days after this incident.
“The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work at the White House and those who protect them every day,” the first lady’s communications director, Elizabeth Alexander, said in a statement. “They remain grateful for the patience and support of the U.S. Secret Service and all involved, as they continue to work through solutions.”
The statement did not specify where the dog was sent or if he was anticipated to return; it simply stated, “Commander is not currently on the White House campus as the next steps are evaluated.”
Commander, a purebred German Shepherd, replaced another German Shepherd, Major, who was reportedly “given to family friends” after a succession of attacks on Secret Service and White House personnel. Commander was acquired in December 2021. In April 2022, Judicial Watch released documents detailing multiple assaults and damages to Secret Service agents by Major at the White House and Biden’s lake residence in Wilmington, DE.
In July, Judicial Watch unearthed records from the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a related lawsuit disclosing ten attacks by Biden’s German Shepherd, Commander, on Secret Service officers between October 2022 and January 2023. In multiple instances, the agents required medical care, including hospitalization.
The records included a November 5, 2022, email exchange between a Uniformed Division officer and the November 3 attack victim, the first officer asked, “Doing alright [redacted]? That’s freaking crazy that stupid dog – rolling my eyes [redacted].” The victim replied, “My leg and arm still hurts. He bit me twice and ran at me twice.” The colleague replied, “What a joke [redacted] – if it wasn’t their dog he would already have been put down – freaking clown needs a muzzle – hope you get to feeling better [redacted].”
Judicial Watch announced on Thursday that it is seeking a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Secret Service for records regarding incidents of aggression and bites involving President Joe Biden’s Dog, Commander.

PLEASE HELP US AVOID EVICTION AND HOMELESSNESS!
As many of my followers are aware, I'm Randy, and my fiancée, Saina, and I have gotten into a hell of a bind. We made the decision (upon urging from my grandparents, who we were staying with beforehand) to rent an apartment in late December based on the assumption that our jobs were stable. Unfortunately this turned out to not be the case. My job fired me for a disability in a way that means I have no recourse, and Saina's Walmart job ended up transferring them to a store where their sexual assaulter, whom they have a protective order against, works and then took their sweet time finding and successfully transferring them to another store. Overall we went about 60-90 days without "proper" income due to this, and we've gotten extremely behind on rent because of it. We had applied for Rent Relief in January, but they took until mid-late April to approve our claim, and according to Virginia law after 45 days the apartment complex is allowed to seek litigation. Which they did. We had a court date on 5/3/2022, and they gave us ten days for the money they're suing us for to be gotten to them or else we'll have a formal eviction date set. We have nowhere else to go, and despite the slumlord state of this apartment's management we need to stay here until we're able to move to Texas in mid-summer for a massive job opportunity. The RRP money should cover what they want from that lawsuit, but even after that we're still well over $3000 in the hole for rent, and RRP is closing and as of early May no longer accepting new applications.
We've been eating off of the excess EBT funds from a friend in another state simply out of the good of that friend's heart, because I'm underemployed (I work at Walmart, enough said) and Saina now does DoorDash after their recent store ignored them going into anaphylaxis and instead discouraged them from going home because "you should really worry about your attendance points," at which point they walked out (nobody we've told this to has faulted Saina for it either).
Any money from this fundraiser is going to go towards the remainder of the back rent debt we owe, and some towards food and medical care (including medications) for the both of us. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, and any updates will be put here, my twitter, and the GoFundMe page.

Lord Holland recounts his meeting with Caroline Murat in Rome in 1830. Even at this point—fifteen years after the execution of her husband, and nine years after the death of her brother Napoleon—she is still being hounded by the Allies, and her movements heavily surveilled and restricted. She is about to be driven from Rome prematurely, while visiting her sick mother. Lord Holland worries that he might even be denied entry into Naples simply for having visited her.
***
From The Journal of the Hon. Henry Edward Fox (afterwards fourth and last Lord Holland) 1818-1830; London, 1923. Pages 374-6.
June 21 [1830]. Rome. In the morning I wrote to Mme Murat expressing my hopes that I might be permitted to call upon her before she went, and begging her to appoint a time. The reply I received was a wish to see me at 3 o’clock. Of course I was punctual. Hortense’s apartment in the Palazzo Ruspoli, which she has lent her during her visit to Rome, I found all sossopra [upside-down]. The dinner was just over and the faquini [porters] were taking away the dinner things from a room full of half-packed trunks, boxes, waste paper, and in fact in perfect disorder. I was kept waiting a short time talking to the black, skinny, grinning dame-de-compagnie, before Mme Murat appeared. I was much struck with the great remains of beauty she still possesses. She is stout, and her figure is not good, but rather thick and stumpy; however, notwithstanding that, she is very graceful and dignified in her motions. Her complexion, which I had heard was blotched and bad, was very clear and her features are regular and small. Her mouth has a very peculiar expression of firmness and decision, which when it relaxes into a smile is uncommonly pretty and playful. She reminded me of the Dme of Bedford, tho’ her person is smaller and more delicate. Her voice is very sweet. She speaks French with a very strong Italian accent, but with great fluency.
When I first saw her she was extremely agitated, having received an intimation that the ten days first accorded her were to be limited to eight, and that she must depart to-morrow. She had sent to appeal, and had protested that having come to Rome to fulfil a sacred duty towards her mother, probably on her death-bed, that she would yield to force alone and not go into her carriage till the military came to order her to do so. Since she has been at Rome there have been no less than twelve meetings of the Corps Diplomatique, and several reams of paper have been filled. She told me, what I own I did not credit till afterwards it was confirmed by Gargarin, that Lord Stuart de Rothesay (who the other day refused to interfere in her behalf about some new lawsuit, because he said he was not authorized to do so by his employers) took upon his own responsibility, without having time to communicate with London, to sign a protest against her being permitted to remain at Rome. How completely we are become the instruments of these rotten old dynasties!!! She was expecting a reply to her last application, and had given her son-in-law, Rasponi, and Vannutelli rendezvous at the Coliseum, whither she begged me to accompany her, if I did not fear being seen in her carriage. Of course I went with her, tho’ I had some apprehension that I might, in consequence, be refused a passport to Naples. She had never seen any of the many interesting sights here, as in all the journies she made thro’ Rome, “ceux qui m’accompagnaient” [those who accompanied me] travelled so fast that she scarcely ever remained more than two or three hours in the town.
She speaks with much agitation at the persecution of the Allies towards her, and said she almost regrets having come, as now when she is torn away from her mother she must make up her mind to never meeting again on this side of the grave. However her vanity is considerably flattered by all the importance the foreign courts seem to attach to her movements, and the persecuting distinction they shew her in contrast to the other members of the Bonaparte family. All ideas of being still an object of admiration to men she has not relinquished, and she owned to me that had it not been for her love for Christine, “elle aura volontiers fait tourner la tête à ce cher Dudley.” [she will gladly have turned dear Dudley’s head.] She has much dignity, and yet nothing repulsive in her manner or the least etiquettical. We walked about the Coliseum for half an hour, while her black skeleton dame-de-compagnie struggled to the summit. At length Vannutelli and Rasponi returned with the ultimate reply of the Cardinal’s Secretary, that they would grant to-morrow, but that on the following day she must leave Rome. She turned very pale, her voice quivered from agitation. “Eh bien, je partirai quand on viendra me chasser. Une insulte de plus ou une insulte de moins ne leur coutera rien.” [Well, I’ll leave when they come to hunt me. One insult more or less will cost them nothing.] We drove by the Temple of Vesta to her mother’s. She was too absorbed to look much about her. I left her at her mother’s door, and went home where I tried to remain very quiet to undo the harm walking about and coming to Rome has done me.

why nearly every character in all of the fnaf musicals are insane in distinctly different but still very much insane ways: an essay

So apparently people really like my Dragon Heist remix!

It has been suggested I put all my documents in actual PDFs and sell them on DMS Guild but I have no idea how to do that. Maybe eventually.
But in the meantime y'all can check it all out here!
Anyway tell me what you think. This was a lot of work and yes I do seek validation. Any ideas on areas I could expand upon more? What I should tackle next? Let me know!

I want to see my writing be psychoanalyzed like I see with media on Tumblr. That’s how I’ll know I made it. I don’t care if I sell like 100 copies of something one day someone can send me a letter digging into the details and writing a ten page essay and I’ll be like “Okay I’m content now.”

Well I was blocked so let me just put this here.
Asexual cisgender people are, by default, not hetrosexual cisgender. It doesn't matter if they're romantically attracted to the opposite sex or not. They are not cishets, and in places where any queerness is punished by law and by social norms, being a queer identity is enough to put you in danger.
Even if you're operating under the assumption that in places like the USA ace and aro people don't face as much structural impression, that absolutely IS NOT TRUE everywhere. When gay people are thrown off buildings, and someone hears you say you're Xsexual instead of cishet, they are not going to pause to ask the nuances. They will hate and harm you for the sole reason of existing as a queer person.
I've seen aces and aros have to run away from their home countries right alongside trans and gay people who had to.
It's 2022. Can we please stop the discourse over this and realize any queer person, in a good very sizable chunk of the world, will not get you ANY amount of privilege akin to being a cishet.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk and that is the end of my thoughts on the matter.

My #1 post of 2022
So I got this new ad:
Tumblr media
And got ~vibes~, so I looked it up and when I dug into it this school is a Catholic organization that's widely been blasted for pushing native cultural assimilation in their past. Supposedly they're currently trying to right wrongs and pushing classes that teach native languages and crafts.
But I know there's been talk about stuff still occuring and being swept under the rug as well as avoiding responsibility for past actions by shutting down lawsuits and supporting laws that protect them from legal action.
I'm not native, but I wanted to draw attention to this new ad and see if there's any native users who know more that can chime in on this.
I'm going to blaze this post in hopes of getting seen by someone with more knowledge on this. On the surface my first impression was it was a school run by native cultural activists pushing to teach kids more about their culture, as I've heard of them popping up more to fight back against historical assimilation. But it's a Catholic school and, uh, they obviously have a HISTORY behind them that's not great, to put it mildly.
