dude I'm so fucking hyped for blockwars today. I've not played a tournament with false since the Minedraft Incident (where we kinda didn't agree with strats 100%). I've met her in person twice since then and she is super friendly and easy to talk to - I know our comms will be 1000000x better.

Also, parker and I on a team?? We've just lived together for a week at TC Vegas!

AND JOJO & SHADOUNE?? Come on. I've known them for ages.

Pairing: MC!Peter Parker-Stark x Barnes!Reader

Warnings: Violence. Language. Stalking. Strip Clubs. Death mentioned. Death threats. Sexual content/comments.

Returning home after bailing out without so much as a goodbye. Leaves a lot to deal with when I show up again. Only I’m not alone and this time I’ve got bigger issues than how I left. I left to find a normal life, but when you’re raised on chaos and crime, normal isn’t a fit. Now I need the club, and Peter. The two I ran out on without so much as a backwards glance. Facing Peter again isn’t something I’d ever be ready for, not after everything that went down the night I left. But I can’t outrun him and I, and without him I’m pretty sure I’m good as dead. Was coming home a good idea when it puts those I love at risk of someone killing them to get their hands on me?

The guys come sliding into the house, Nat and I standing in the kitchen, told to not leave. Peter the only one that doesn’t stop, looking surprised by the house.

“Y/N?” He doesn’t break stride heading right for me. “You okay, Darlin’?” His large hand cups my jaw on one side.

“Nothing new.” I admit, looking away from him.

“Jesus, did, how did, what happened?” Buck is staring at the hallway.

Glancing back at it, to Peter, I wave my hand.

“That was like that.”

TC moves closer to get a look.

“What happened?” Howie looks from Nat to me.

She hands over the card.

“It was waiting for us when we were leaving.” She explains.

The guys pass it around. “How long were you here?” Peter looks up from the card in his hand.

“Ten, fifteen minutes?” I shrug.

He nods slowly.

“He had to have followed from the club.” Steve looks around the crew.

“Just when I thought I was safe.” Muttering to myself I step away from Peter.

“You got a thing for possessive guys, hun?” Rand looks around.

“Hate to be the one to tell this dude, but pretty sure Parker has had claim on her since day one.” TC nods slowly, coming back towards them.

“She’s always been mine, since day one, even 12,000 miles away.” Turning in surprise he’s staring at me.

“How?” I blink at him. He moves towards me.

He scoffs, rolling his eyes. “I’m a possessive bastard, Y/N. There’s not a fucking place in this world you could run off too, and I won’t find you. I will do everything, including hacking bank accounts, running your name through the DMV system, letting my dad do what he does best, to find you.” He shrugs.

“I want to say Awe.” Nat’s head tips.

“You knew where she was the whole time?” Buck stares at Peter.

“So did your wife.” Peter replies but doesn’t break eye contact from me.

Shaking my head, chewing my bottom lip. “You were there.” I turn leaning on the wall of the kitchen.

“Where?” Steve looks around.

“He found her.” TC whispers in surprise.

Peter shrugs. “A small, cramped, little apartment on the fourth floor.” He stares at me. “Didn’t your daddy teach you better about safety? No doorman, easy locks to pick, no security system.”

I gap at him. “You broke in!” I throw my hands up.

His head tips from side to side.

“I knew it. I fucking knew it. There was,” I pause thinking about this.

“A feeling?” He lifts a brow at me.

My tongue runs over my bottom lip, pulling it in for a moment. “The strangest feeling of complete comfort. I felt it a few times.” I nod.

“You know what that damn feeling is, Y/N?” He moves closer to me.

Shaking my head, looking away from him. He’s suddenly crowding me, trapped between him and the wall I’m leaning on. “You’re supposed to be here, right fucking here, with me. With us. You can say just when you thought you were safe, sorry Darlin’ you ain’t ever been safer than right here. Where you fucking belong.” He stares down at me.

“Why do you think I’m home?” I wonder up at him.

“If you say your stalker, I’m going to put another hole in this wall.” He warns me.

A small smirk forms, tipping my head to the side. “Sure, might be a push to come sooner, but I didn’t come for them. I didn’t return for them.” Licking my lips, I sigh. “I came home, for you, for us, cause no matter what I can’t outrun you, and us.” Nodding my head.

“Good, now get your shit, and let’s get you to the clubhouse.” He dips his head kissing me quickly.

My whole body lights up. Sucking in an excited breathe. My face flushes instantly.

“My stuffs at mom and dads.” I explain as he grabs my hand, pulling me after him.

“We’ll send someone.” He glances back at me.

“Peter,” I tug on his hand, waiting for him to look at me again.

“What?” His brow pulls in. My head tips, letting it click for him.

“Right, your stuff.” He sighs.

“She’s my sister, I’ll go.” Howie shakes his head.

“What’s more trauma going to hurt.” Luke snickers.

“Take Frankie with.” Buck nods.

Peter looks to me to see this is okay. I shrug.

“It’s Frankie. I feel like he’s another version of dad.” I admit. Frank chuckles, shrugging.

An OG member, like Joe, Steve’s dad, my own father, and Peter and Howie’s dad, Tony.

“Meet us back at the house, keep your eyes peeled.” Peter slaps hands with Howie, who nods. Leaving with Frankie.

Curled up next to Peter, a strong drink in hand, sitting on the couch. His arm protectively wrapped around me.

“Peter,” tipping my head to look up at him. He sips his beer watching me “we need to talk.” Speaking softly between the two of us.

“In the morning.” He sighs.

“Peter,” I sigh.

His phone rings, cutting us off.

“Frankie?” His brow drops in, putting on speaker.

“She said her stalker sends things, like photos, right?” His gruff voice filling the line.

“Yeah, why?"

There’s a stretch of silence for a moment.

“He was here too.” Peter’s eyes snap over to me.

“How is that possible?” I sit up quickly. “Nobody knows that house belongs to us.” Shoving my fingers through my hair.

“Got a small stack of photos here. Her, at the clubhouse, the Alibi, Pete, he was watching while she was at your moms.”

“No, Pepper.” I swallow.

“I’m sending Howie back with her stuff, I’m going to swing by and check on your mom and dad. Give them a heads up.” Peter’s grip on me tightens.

“Alright.” Peter nods, hanging up.

Scrambling for my phone over Peter’s arm. I snatch it up, hitting contacts, I swipe till I find her name, hitting call.

“Sweetheart?” She answers softly.

“Ma!?”

“Is something wrong? Are you okay? The boys?” She’s alert now.

“Where’s dad?” I ask.

“We fell asleep on the couch.” We can hear her patting at Tony. “Tony wake up, somethings going on.”

There’s a startled “What?” from Tony as he wakes.

“Frank is on his way over, he’ll explain things. Just close all your damn windows and curtains. And make sure all the doors are locked.” I sigh, looking at Peter who nods, assuring me.

“Of course, of course.” She agrees. “Everything okay?”

“Not really, but it’s my fuck up, I’m so sorry.” I sigh.

“No it’s not, stop that.” Peter growls at me.

“He’s right sweetheart.” Pepper sighs.

Sighing, I shake my head. “I should go to bed. It’s been a very up and down day.” I admit.

“Tell that son of mine, to take care of you.”

Peter rolls his eyes. “When haven’t I?” He scoffs.

“Night ma.” I smile softly.

“Night sweetheart.”

Hanging my head, I rub my hands over my face, looking over at Peter.

“Can I just sleep in one of your shirts and we call it a night?” I ask.

“When have I ever told you no?” He smiles, grabbing my hand, he pulls me up with him.

1990s Trip Hop Playlist

Bad news and great news with this week's playlist post, folks. The bad news is that, once again, a Spotify version of one of these has shrunk because a song was removed from the platform, but the great news is that over on YouTube, I finally found a song that I've been looking to add for well over a year now to my 90s trip hop playlist. I'd actually tried to upload this track to my own channel before and was forbidden from doing so, but today, while I was updating, I managed to find it: the "Instrumental Mix" of Washington, D.C. duo Thievery Corporation's "Lebanese Blonde." In case you're familiar with the vocal version of this song, this isn't just a version that strips out the singing; this one has slightly different instrumentation to it too—namely Spanish guitar—and is really reflective of what the TC guys have always been about: weaving together different sounds from various parts of the world in order to yield some terrific cosmopolitan lounge beauty 😌.

I also learned this week that a handful of other songs that are in the YouTube version of this playlist had been taken down since the last time I updated it too: three from Paris' DJ Cam ("Mad Blunted Jazz," "Life," and "Gangsta Shit"), and one from Edinburgh's Boards of Canada ("Everything You Do Is a Balloon"). But fortunately, I was able to find other uploads of those same songs and retain them for the playlist.

Also in this update comes a couple adds from the pioneering German label that I've been writing about for weeks now in these playlist posts too: Harthouse, which was co-founded and run by the legendary Sven Väth in the early 90s, and began as a big outlet for trance and hard trance, but then broadened its horizons by the mid-to-late 90s before shutting down for good. There's Frankfurt group Hacienda's organ-jazzy "Nightmare of Max," whose title may be a play on the great Nightmares On Wax—whose own "Mission Venice" and "Fishtail Parker" also appear in this playlist too, by the way—and some chunky and groovy trip hop-blues from Berlin's Jiri.Ceiver called "Ycool," which also appears in my 90s downtempo and German downtempo YouTube playlists too. "Nightmare of Max" has under 300 YouTube plays and "Ycool" has a little over 140.

So while the Spotify version of this playlist has been pared down to a mere 34 songs that clock in at a little over 3 hours, the YouTube one has now grown to 61 songs that clock in at 5 hours and 50 minutes 😯. Lots and lots of super dope and rarer trip hop goodies to be found in that YouTube one, including:

a song by the great Squarepusher (operating under his government name, Tom Jenkinson) called "Vogon & I," that was once on Spotify, but isn't anymore

a remix by legendary IDM duo Autechre of their own nebulous and mysteriously related project Gescom's "Mag"

an incredible track from that same Gescom project called "Leritue (Gibber MIx)"

and a cinematic British breakbeat-trip hop interpolation of famed New York street poet Gil-Scott Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised," by an act called Genaside II.

And lastly, if 5 hours and 50 minutes of trip hop sounds a bit too overwhelming for you, I've got a couple shorter playlists that focus on specific years of the genre too.

theres been so many talented actors in these games who put their all into their characters. (i dont know many VA's outside of bioware, except Kassandra and Alexios from ac odyssey, whomst i love and adore)

but mainly i love deep rich voices, both men and women that bring out a lot of personality and really bring their characters to life.

I don't have a whole lot of coherent thoughts about this so I'm just going to throw words at the wall like wet spaghetti and see what sticks! 🎉

But no in all seriousness, yes I do! Peter is a character who absolutely evolved into someone who is very touch-oriented in displaying affection. (I can't take total credit for this realization, traincat and softgrungeprophet have done some really good posts about it that made me go.. 🤔💡) This is just kind of a general headcanon for me when it comes to him but I think just as it applies for him in other relationships, so it would apply here too. It's something that just comes naturally to him.

Now, onto Eddie, who I think is a little more complicated... I feel it would take time for him to get to a point where he's comfortable being touched a lot by another human being. Kind of like a horse, where you should make sure they see you before you put your hand on them. At first he probably has to be the one to initiate physical contact. Given his history of being touched by another human being not going uh... well for him (looking at the repeated times he's been literally experimented on) it might be a long journey for them. And it'll probably have to be small touches at first - taking his hand, maybe a hand on his arm, before gradually moving into more. Peter pressing himself up against Eddie on the couch, hugs, an arm around his shoulder or waist, all that good stuff.

But I think eventually, like everyone else who's ever fallen in love with the insufferable, endearing asshole who is Peter Parker, he'll warm up to it. He'll start to see that is part of Peter's love language. I have a lot of feelings about Eddie learning to trust other humans touching him in general so. ;w; Yeah.

Aaaaanyways, THAT angst fest aside, let me move onto the third part of this glorious ship!

Of course I can't leave out the symbiote, the original piece of this ship that binds them together. It feels a little obvious but the symbiote is of course very touch-oriented. In a weird way, its physical affection with Peter probably has to come gradually, the way Peter's does with Eddie. Depending on when this ship is starting out in their lives, I think will depend on how slowly they need to adjust towards each other. But similarly, Peter has hurt the symbiote! So maybe they need to learn to trust each other again (or perhaps, for the first time) before they can move forward with each other.

I have a little snippet that actually calls back to a scene where Peter was washing the "alien costume", so I'll share that with you here. For a little context, Peter is currently the symbiote's host, as part of a somewhat complicated arrangement:

Eddie continued to stroke it as Peter turned on the taps for the bathroom sink, then plugging it. It was only then that he realized Peter also had a bottle of mild soap. “What are you doing?” “Uh, laundry?” Eddie frowned a little, his grip tightening on the symbiote. “I’m kidding, Eddie. But I figure I keep sweating, symbiote or no, and I can’t be webbing up purse snatchers and robbers in an un-laundered suit.” He paused with his hands on the taps. “Un...bathed?” He finally turned them off and added some soap to the water, sudsing it up with his hands. “It’s not dirty, Peter,” he said, a little defensively, “it expels dirt and particulate matter naturally, and-” “It didn’t complain when I did that for weeks after Battleworld!” “You thought it was a smart-technology piece of clothing!” “Just be grateful I didn’t take it to the laundromat! And, for the record, I take very good care of my suits. Do you have any idea how much time I put into them? How much red thread I have to go through? The cost of the fabric if it gets ruined or faded?” Peter gently coaxed the symbiote into the water, working his hands into its malleable flesh, meticulous as he rubbed it into the warm water. It was maybe just a hair above room temperature, given the symbiote’s dislike of heat. It slipped away from his hands with a pleased little shiver, surrendering to Peter's tender loving care.

So yeah, that's that! I guess I kind of focused more on the idea of touch in general vs. actually answering your question jdksal' but I think that before full-on cuddling they would have some work to do. Love that for them though. <3

Ha this is gonna be a long one as most of my fave characters also bring me comfort. Buckle up moots, we're in for a ride

Since you're my mutual in TC, I'm gonna start with that. Currently, Jack from Oblivion is the closest to my heart out of all the TC characters. Actually, the whole vibe of this movie has a soothing effect on me. Maybe it's the color palettes idk. That scene when Jack first goes to his little safehouse is so cozy and comforting to me. Ethan Hunt gets second place in this one, tho I love him to death too

Pairing: MC!Peter Parker-Stark x Barnes!Reader

Warnings: Violence. Language. Stalking. Strip Clubs. Death mentioned. Death threats. Sexual content/comments.

Returning home after bailing out without so much as a goodbye. Leaves a lot to deal with when I show up again. Only I’m not alone and this time I’ve got bigger issues than how I left. I left to find a normal life, but when you’re raised on chaos and crime, normal isn’t a fit. Now I need the club, and Peter. The two I ran out on without so much as a backwards glance. Facing Peter again isn’t something I’d ever be ready for, not after everything that went down the night I left. But I can’t outrun him and I, and without him I’m pretty sure I’m good as dead. Was coming home a good idea when it puts those I love at risk of someone killing them to get their hands on me?

Peter sits on the edge of his bed, checking his phone. Naked, toned back to me. Rolling to my back, I let out a heavy sigh. He shifts on the bed to look at me.

“What’s wrong?” He asks, his phone forgotten.

Sucking in a slow breathe. “I really fucked up, Peter.”

He moves, scooting in closer to me.

“We’ll find out who is at this, I promise.” He reaches over, brushing away a curl from my face.

Closing my eyes, I drag my hands into my hair.

“I think I already know.”

It’s silent for a moment.

“Okay, who?” He waits.

Chewing my bottom lip, I drop my hands, sitting up suddenly. His sheets and blankets pooling around my waist.

“The club will disown me.” Shrugging a shoulder, looking away from him.

He curses under his breathe.

“What did you do, Darlin?”

When I look over, deep brown eyes are watching me intently.

“I’ll lose you too.” I admit softly.

Standing in the chapel of the club, the guys sit around the table, they’re passing around the photos Frank found at the house while getting my things. Howie flicks one to the center of the table, the worse one of them all.

A photo of Peter kissing my cheek, at the bar, before the guys left. A pen carved ‘Mine’ into the photo, over and over. Peter’s face scribbled out.

“Darlin’,” Peter sighs, leaning back in his seat.

“I have something to admit.” I admit, leaning on the window frame, behind the head of the table. My brothers turn quickly in their chairs.

“What’s wrong?” Howie leans forward.

Sucking in a deep breathe. “Broad question, How.” I sigh, rubbing my hands over my face. “What I did, by MC laws you can, the club has the right to disown me.”

“Fuck.” Howie blinks at me.

Steve swallows hard.

“What did you do, Y/N?” Buck looks almost scared for the first time in my life.

Nodding slowly, I chew my bottom lip for a moment. “I mentioned when I showed up, about my almost one night stand.” Peter’s jaw set already. “There’s a reason it was almost.” Sighing.

“What made you run?” Howie asks, the only one brave enough.

Swallowing hard, I look him dead in the eye. “Do you remember when Karen and I were attacked?”

Each one turns pale white.

Rand, Quill, and Luke look confused.

“You were attacked?” Luke asks.

Tony’s hand slips over Peter’s shoulder, gripping.

“I’ll start from the beginning.” I nod.

Howie drags his hands down his face.

TC looks down at his coffee cup, like he wished it was something stronger.

Steve grips the arms on his chair.

Peter doesn’t drag his eyes away from me, once.

Buck tips his head back, staring up at the ceiling.

Tony is the only one to get up, pulling up a chair for me.

“No surprise, I was a wild child.” I start as I take the seat, Tony returns to his own. “A Barnes, born into the MC life, go figure I loved trouble from the go, hell I dated Peter Parker-Stark, trouble with all caps.” I smirk at him, he winks at me. The other guys chuckle.

“Steve and Buck taught me to fight by the time I was in middle school. Not that I needed it, Peter usually was the first to throw hands in my defense.” I shrug. “What’s a wild child without a wild best friend?” A sad smirk on my lips. “I started out with Nat, than she started banging my brother. Somehow, I ended up with Karen as my best friend, just as much of a wild child too.”

Peter looks to be holding his breathe, Howie looks boarder line sick to his stomach. “Karen liked to party and by party, I mean, party, party. I used to like to piss off Peter and Howie, tempt that temper and possessive side of Peter.” The guys laugh, Luke drops his head, laughing hard.

“Used too? Aren’t you still?” TC chuckles.

“Well I mean, some habits never really die.” I wink at him. “Karen had this dealer. Shady as they come, I mean I never gave him a second thought, I never really had anything to do with him. I was with her a few times for deals, to get a fix.”

Peter leans forward, pulling me from the chair, into his lap. I don’t fight it, just let him. He wraps his arms around my waist, forehead resting on my shoulder.

“Why would I worry about some dealer? Daughter of the MC prez, Notorious brawler Bucky Barnes, baby sister. Fuck I was dating Peter Parker-Stark, who hit the captain of the football team so hard he missed the first half of the season, for touching me.” I shrug my other shoulder.

“Karen got herself into trouble, some seriously bad trouble. She messed up big time, her dealer made her hold some junk, to appease her debt to him, but one night she got all messed up and lost it, all.” Sucking in a deep breathe.

“That’s not good.” Rand looks nervous.

“A few weeks later, we’re walking back from the lake, up the road. Heading here to beg Peter to bring us home.” I nod slowly. “They grabbed us, the dealer and some other guys. He had help I guess.” Swallowing hard. “He wanted payment, or to let us work it off.” Peter’s arms tighten around me slowly. “No wasn’t the answer he was looking for. I knew Karen was in deep, I knew they were going to come looking for her. I never said anything to anyone.” Blinking a few times, rapidly.

“When I say they wanted payment, I don’t mean, they wanted cash. Karen start fighting back, she started screaming, scratching, kicking, clawing.” I shake involuntary. Peter hugs me tighter. “It left the one, the, who grabbed me, distracted. I fought back, smashed my knee into his junk, when he folded, I rammed it into his jaw. When he hit the dirt, I bailed out, running. I,” stopping, swallowing thickly.

“She came out on the road, not far from here. She ran till she hit the doors, here. Collapsing in the main room.” Howie nods slowly, finishing for me. “We ordered retaliation instantly.”

“It’s the night Peter was to be VP.” My voice shakes.

“The night you left town.” Peter lifts his head.

Nodding slowly, I chew my bottom lip. Clearing my throat, I suck in a deep breathe.

“I met this guy, one night. He seemed nice, funny, I guess with a few drinks he wasn’t bad looking.” I shrug. Peter snorts softly. “Not everyone moves on sober.” I side glance at him.

His mouth opens to retort, but I cut him off.

“Anyways. I have about six too many after I was already drunk.” I shrug.

“Sounds right.” Howie nods. TC chuckles into his fist.

“Fuck off.” I roll my eyes. “I agreed to go back to his place, cause why not? I’m trying to move on, I’m trying so hard. Only, it doesn’t get to far.” I admit, with the tip of my head.

“How far?” Clint wonders.

“He pulled his hoodie off, the under shirt coming up with it. It was his tattoo, like being sucker punched, I was scrambling for my jacket and purse, I’m pretty sure I left a dent in his door, trying to run.” I sigh.

“Why stop there?” Barney wonders.

“Something about that tattoo. I can’t, I don’t know why, but I swear I’d seen it before. It gave me this gut throbbing bad feeling.”

“Where did you see it before?” Luke asks.

“A rival clubs tattoo.” I swallow.

Peter’s arms drop from me instantly in shock.

The whole table blurts out. “What?” at once.

“What club?” Steve stares at me.

“The Sinners.” I glance away.
