Tatsuya Fuji and Eiko Matsuda in In the Realm of the Senses (Nagisa Oshima, 1976)
Cast: Eiko Matsuda, Tatsuya Fuji, Aoi Nakajima, Yasuko Matsui, Maika Seri, Kanae Kobayashi, Taiji Tonoyama, Kyoji Kokonoe, Naomi Shiraishi, Homikichi Hori. Screenplay: Nagisa Oshima. Cinematography: Hideo Ito. Production design: Shigemasa Toda. Film editing: Patrick Sauvion, Keiichi Uraoka. Music: Minoru Miki.
Even almost four decades later, In the Realm of the Senses still has the power to shock, and not just because of the full nudity and unsimulated copulation -- we've all seen pornography in some form. It's that we've never seen them used in service of story, characterization, and theme as well as they are in this film. It's based on an actual incident that took place in Japan in 1936: Sada Abe killed her lover, Kichizo Ishida, during an experiment in erotic asphyxiation, then cut off his genitals and carried them with her for three days until she was arrested. Fascinated by this story, and by producer Anatole Dauman's suggestion that they should make a pornographic film, Nagisa Oshima wrote the screenplay and set about putting together a cast and crew. The lead actors, Tatsuya Fuji as Kichizo and Eiko Matsuda as Sada, are extraordinary, transcending the mere shock value of their physical encounters with their commitment to illuminating the motives and the inner life of the couple. They give as complete a portrait of sexual obsession as we're ever likely to encounter in a movie. Oshima doesn't skimp on portraying the excesses of their passion: Sada persuades Kichizo to have sex with the 68-year-old geisha who comes to serenade them -- he is somewhat disgusted, but she is aroused when he does. The maids who tend to their room complain that it smells -- "We like it that way," Sada replies -- and the older man with whom Sada has been having sex to get money to support the lovers ends their relationship by saying she smells like a dead rat. Oshima  portrays them as symbolic rebels against the militarism of 1930s Japan -- making love not war, if you will -- in a scene in which Kichizo, returning to Sada, passes marching troops being cheered by flag-waving schoolchildren. The real Sada was tried for his murder and mutilation, but served only five years in prison and became something of a folk legend in Japan, living on until the 1970s. A French and Japanese co-production, In the Realm of the Senses was filmed in Japan, but the footage had to be developed in France to avoid prosecution, and it has never been released in Japan without cuts or strategic blurring of its sex scenes. It's possible to admire the skill with which the film was made, while also unable to shake the sense of being exploited by it.

Disgaea 7 DLC Episode: Persona 2
((Fair warning before reading. OP has only played Innocent Sin and only recalls some major details about Eternal Punishment after watching a playthrough on Youtube.))
Part 1: Jun, the Former Joker
Pirilika: "Ahh, nothing like a refreshing bottle of water after a walk, right Fuji?"
Fuji: "We've only been casually walking around for an hour. Unless if it's hot as hell, I don't think this enough for a water break."
Pirilika: "True, but I don't think there many benches in this area to sit down in. Might as well take advantage now while we can."
Fuji: "You can go ahead, I guess. I've endured way too much for this to be an issue for me."
Pirilika: "Well, suit yourself Fu-"
Golden flowered gentleman: "Pardon me, but would you happen to be miss Pirilika?"
Fuji: "Hmm? What's it to you?"
Jun: "My name is Jun Kurosu. My friend sent me to find the CEO of Tempura. We have an event scheduled for her today."
Pirilika: "An event with me? Wait a minute... HOLD ON?! YOU'RE WITH THEM?!!"
Fuji: "The hell's wrong with you, Piriko?"
Jun: "Oh, so you're miss Pirilika? Please come with me. I promise I shall escort you safe-"
Pirilika: "Fuji, we need to get out of here, right now!"
Fuji: "Can someone fill me in on what's going on here?! Are we under attack?!"
Jun: "She didn't tell you? We have an in-"
Pirilika: "There's no time! We need to hurry back to the ship!"
Jun: "Is everything alright? If you're worried about not having the right flower with you, then I can help find one on the way to-"
Pirilika: "I'm sorry, but please stay back, or else I'll use my stun bomb to paralyze ya!"
Part 2: Tatsuya, the Sinful Flame
Fuji: "I don't know what's gotten into Piriko, but I'm liking this aggressive side of ya. Didn't think you had it in ya to actually stun him."
Pirilika: "I said sorry multiple times and I promise to unstun him later, but right now we need to get back to the ship."
Fuji: "You said he was with "them"? I take it a group of mercenaries are hunting you down?"
Pirilika: "Not exactly, but I'll tell you once we get to the shi-"
Sounds of a motorcycle engine can be heard from a distance.
Fuji: "You hear that?"
Pirilika: "Sounds like a motorcycle."
Fuji: "You serious? Who the hell would ride a motorcycle in this ar-"
A young man suddenly speeds up to the two of them on his motorcycle and jumps over them to the other side and stops, making sure Jun doesn't slip off while paralyzed.
Fuji: "You sure we're not dealing with mercenaries here?"
Pirilika: "Well... specifically might be a mercenary."
Red Haired boy: "Alright, which one of you did that to Jun?"
Pirilika: "So you are his friend. I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry. If you give us a minute, I'll come back peacefully and heal him."
Red Haired boy: "No. I'm going to need you to heal him now, or things are going to get ugly."
Pirilika: "Eep! I'm warning you, if you attack me now, this is only going lag things on even longer!"
Fuji: "You mean "drag" things on, Piriko."
Red Haired Boy: "Maya told me not to use force, but I can't let what just happened slide. Come quietly or else."
Pirilika: "Uhh... Fuji?"
Fuji: "Should have known that aggression wouldn't last long. That's fine. Just means it's my turn to start doing my worst!"
Red Haired Boy: "You must be having some bad luck having me as your opponent. Come, Apollo."
Part 3: Maya, the coolest Big Sis
Fuji continues clashing swords with the Red Haired Boy.
Fuji: "Hell yeah! This is what I'm talking about! To hell with walks. A good fight like this is what REALLY gets the blood pumping!"
Red Haired Boy: "If you think this is just a workout, then I have to kick it up a notch."
Fuji: "Is that supposed to scare me?"
Red Haired Boy: "I'd be disappointed if it did."
Fuji: "I'm starting to like ya a little. Shame I have to cut you down before you can kidnap Piriko."
Red Haired Boy: "Kidnap? We need her alive, but we're not capturing her."
Fuji: "Oh, you probably should've said that earlier."
Red Haired Boy: "Why?"
Fuji: "Because she took off while we were fighting each other."
Red Haired Boy: "Wha?" Notices Pirilika is no longer here. "DAMMIT!!!"
-later...-
Pirilika: "Okay... almost there. All I have to do is get changed and I'll be ready. I feel bad for leaving Fuji behind, but I know he'd want me to pull through with this! Sacrificing himself for the greater good! He really is a true warrior... still, I should make it up to him later..."
Upbeat woman: "Oh there you are, Pirilika! I managed to find you in time!"
Pirilika: "Hmm?" Turns around. "Oh no... not now. Not when I'm so close!"
Upbeat woman: Approaches Pirilika "I was starting to get worried you wouldn't show up. You didn't get lost, did you?"
Pirilika: "H-Hi... you must be Miss Maya. It's very nice to meet you, but could you please give me one moment?"
Upbeat woman: "Sure. Is everything alright?"
Pirilika: "Yeah! I just need to take care of something right quick."
Upbeat woman: "Okay. I can wait for a little bit."
Pirilika: "Thank you for understanding."
Upbeat woman: "Before you leave though, have you seen Jun and Tatsuya? I sent them to look for you and they haven't come back yet."
Pirilika: "Oh, they're fine. They're actually not too far away from here. Now, if you'll excuse me." Slips away.
Tatsuya: "Maya!" Drives up to her and stops a few feet away. "Have you seen her yet?"
Maya: "Yeah, she just went to her ship for something. Wait, what happened to Jun? Is he alright?"
Fuji: "Ha. Guess you guys were too slow after all." Walks up to the two of them.
Maya: "Um... hi. Tatsuya, who's this?"
Tatsuya: "Pirilika's bodyguard apparently. I've been fighting him for the past while, after he stunned Jun."
Fuji: "Hey, that kid's paying top dollar, so I gotta put in my worst effort."
Maya: "Really? He must be strong if he's giving you two a run for your money. I'm not sure why you're fighting, but since we got time, think you can let Big Sis get a turn?"
Fuji: "Big Sis???"
Tatsuya: "Long story."
Fuji: "Well, if it's a fight you want lady, I'm more than happy to provide!"
-After the battle...-
Maya: "You're right, he is strong. It makes me want to give you an interview too."
Fuji: "Interview???"
Maya: "Yeah, that's why we're here. Did Pirilika not tell you? I'm Maya Amano, a writer for the hit teen magazine, COOLEST. We arranged a special interview today with the Pirilika, the CEO of one of the Netherworld's fashion industry giants!"
Fuji: "You mean all this damn time, Piriko's been trying to rush to the ship just to get ready for some interview?!"
Tatsuya: "That's what Jun was trying to tell you before you stunned him."
Fuji: "You DO know that it was Piriko herself who stunned him, right?"
Pirilika: Walks out. "Ah, my hair's all done and I'm in an outfit that's not drenched in sweat. I'm ready for the interview, Ms Maya!"
Fuji: "PIRIKO!!!"
Pirilika: "Oh, hi Fuji. Glad you caught up. Why do you look so mad though?"
Fuji: "I'M PISSED OFF!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THERE WAS AN INTERVIEW?!! IF YOU WEREN'T READY, YOU SHOULD'VE RESCHEDULED AND SAVED US A LOT OF TROUBLE, IDIOT!!!"
Pirilika: "I'm sorry! I forgot what day it was and I was too embarrassed of how messy I looked! Besides, do you know how hard it is to schedule an interview right now with us traveling across Hinomoto to look for the founding weapons?!"
Maya: "I'm not sure why you would be embarrassed... It's not like we're filming the interview. And I would understand if you need to reschedule. All you had to do was call."
Pirilika: "I'm really sorry. Let me make it up to you. For starters, by healing your friend." Heals Jun
Jun: "Ngnnn..."
Tatsuya: "You okay, Jun?"
Jun: "I'm fine. I can finally move again... A bit of a shame though. I was enjoying our time together on your motorcycle."
Tatsuya: "If you wanted to ride together, all you had to do was ask. No need to get yourself paralyzed for it."
Jun: "Is that so, Tatsuya? I'll be sure to keep that in mind for next time when I see you tinkering in the garage."
Tatsuya: "Not gonna happen if you don't wear a helmet though. Don't want you cracking your skull."
Jun: "But you rarely wear a helmet."
Tatsuya: "Your life's more valuable."
Maya: "Tatsuya, what have I told you about thinking positive?"
Tatsuya: "..."
Fuji: "I feel like I'm gonna hurl from all this fluff."
Pirilika: "Don't be like that, Fuji. Isn't it nice to see them get along so well together?"
Fuji: "You KNOW this stuff triggers my allergies, Piriko!"
Pirilika: "Anyway, if you like, you're all free to come with us as we travel across Hinomoto. Think of it as another form of apology for all the trouble we caused."
Fuji: "The hell do you mean, "we"?!"
Maya: "Well, I did put in time to stay quite a while in Hinomoto just in case."
Jun: "I can already imagine all the different flowers we get to see across the land. This is turning out to be quite a fortunate trip."
Tatsuya: "As long as there's room for my bike, I got no problems staying."
Pirilika: "Trust me, there's LOTs of room on this ship!"
Fuji: "Yeah, but make sure your room is far away from mine. I don't want to wake up to the sound of an engine every morning."
