Finally found an actual assembly diagram for my airplane! Well, the 1 pilot 2 cylinder version. Mine's a 2 person tandem control, 4 cylinder 1960s VW. But it'll do 😆

Most of the fun of restoring/building a decently obscure kit plane designed by old guys who are either dead or like to ghost messages is playing detective to find all the missing instructions. Luckily AC. 43.13 exists for this exact reason, but actual instructions would be much nicer 😆

Okay, this post has a lot of misconceptions in it. There aren't as many differences between crocodiles and alligators than you think. It's really harmful to think that we have nothing in common with each other. So what if they're carnivores and we're closer to omnivores, or their snouts are more U shaped while ours are V shaped. We're both badass miracles of nature that have no reason to be pit against one another all the time.

Don't listen to guys like this. It's just hateful and small-minded.

Little walk around the plane museum's Tomcat post 1st stage of paint stripping

(Yah I know my shoes are clicky 🥺 they're these cool pilot shoes I got about 3 years ago while volunteering at an airshow, they have [or had- I've walked like a thousand+ miles in em 😅] little sliders on the heels to make steering with your rudder pedals a bit nicer. I love em mostly for their carbon fiber soles. Super comfy😌)
