You don’t know if this is a good idea.
Purchasing this… gift with Taehyung’s card was risky enough. Yes, he’s able to see the Amazon charge in his account and know it was you. Yes, he likes to ask what you buy. Yes, you tried your best to hide this in a spot where Taehyung doesn’t normally look. Really, you’ve just been waiting for the opportunity to take it out and wow him.
And today is the day.
Gazing in the mirror at your reflection, you run a hand over the sleek white leather costume. Cinched at the waist, it emphasizes your hips and bum, and the cups do little justice to contain your breasts. You paired fishnet tights, wrist cuff sleeves, and a collar with the costume, along with a bunny ears headband; white stilettos top off the outfit. You even put on some makeup: black liner, mascara, blood-red lipstick.
Although you know it’s all going to come off with your tears and spit, you wanted to be pretty, look pretty for Taehyung.
However, this seemed like a good idea at first, but now you’re second-guessing yourself.
As your dom and caretaker, Taehyung is accustomed to seeing you in cute, frilly clothing, since you’re in little space more often than not. So you don’t know how your boyfriend is going to react. The least he can do is like it, right?
He doesn’t have to love it. You just want to… surprise him.
The familiar sound of the front door opening and closing catches your attention. Your hands become clammy. You scurry to the bed and lay down, stretching along the blankets, which are soft against your skin. Footsteps approach, growing louder with each one, then–
"Jesus Christ."
You shyly peek at your boyfriend. Taehyung stares at you, utterly divine in loose beige pants and a garnet tee tucked into the waistband, his dirty-blond hair swept back away from his face. His brown eyes are wide with shock, knuckles white from his tight grip on the doorknob. You carefully roll over, exposing your chest, and his throat bobs.
“Hi,” you murmur, smiling a little.
He doesn’t reply straight away, obviously stupefied by your costume. “What’s this?” he croaks.
“Do you like it, Daddy?” you quietly ask him, swinging your legs over the edge of the bed and standing. Your heels click on the hardwood floor as you step towards him. “I got it for you.”
Another gulp. Taehyung drifts to you, enchanted. “You look…” His slender fingers curl around your waist. He sharply exhales, eyes unable to stay still. “Fuck, you look so pretty, babygirl.”
"Thank you," you whisper.
His touch is fire, burning through the costume and branding his fingerprints into your skin. Your eyes flutter when his hands trail up to your breasts, caressing them, your sensitive nipples rubbing against the leather. You bite your lip to contain a mewl, heat flooding your cheeks as Taehyung tugs the cups out of the way. He plays with your rosy buds, rolling and pinching them between his fingers, bolts of arousal shooting straight to your pussy.
“So this is what you bought that day,” Taehyung softly says, almost to himself, tugging at your nipples.
“Please,” you pant, jolting when he pinches a bud.
A ghost of a smirk. "Please what?"
You swallow, trembling. "Please fuck me."
Taehyung chuckles. He pinches your other nipple, drawing a whine from you. "You can do better than that, sweetheart."
You pout, eyes dropping in embarrassment. You dislike voicing your needs. He should know what you want by the way you react to his teasing, but that’s what Taehyung likes. The power he holds over you as your dom. He wants you to express your thoughts, tell him exactly just what you want.
It reminds him how much you trust him with yourself, submitting to his every touch and kiss, handing over your body to do as he pleases with it.
“Fuck me, Daddy,” you whine, shivering, head tilting back as Taehyung mouths kisses on your throat. “Please. N-Need you so bad. I-I don’t are what you do to the costume, just please fuck me.”
Taehyung chuckles, the low sound a sweet caress. “Alright, babygirl. Anything for you.”
A few seconds later, you’re on the bed again, this time with Taehyung crawling on top of you. He slots between your legs as your lips meet in a slow, passionate kiss. You quietly moan when his hands cup your tits, calloused fingertips digging into them. The stark comparison of his rough fingers on your smooth skin is arousing. Your eyes roll, bucking your hips up into his hand while he strokes your hot center over the costume, his tongue slipping into your mouth and dancing with your own. You grasp his shoulders for support, a little wail escaping you when Taehyung rips the costume at the seams.
“Daddy!” you whine, heart aching at the loss of your costume.
“What?” His eyes sparkle with mischief. “Just doing what my babydoll wants.”
You open your mouth to retort, to remind him you bought this costume with his money, but the thought disappears the second Taehyung glides a finger through your folds. You quietly moan, pressing your lips together when he easily locates your clit and rubs quick, little circles on it. You swallow, rocking into his touch all while his eyes burn into you.
That’s another thing Taehyung loves in this dynamic with you: Watching you squirm beneath him from pleasure and your orgasms. It doesn’t matter if you seek from his mouth, touch, or cock. He adores the view of you experiencing total euphoria because of him, and it’s even better because he’s the only one who gets to see you like this. His precious girl, all his to love and care for in every way possible. But he knows you secretly like it too, watching him get off on you getting off.
“Daddy, please,” you plead, your hand sliding down to his arm from his shoulder. “Fuck me.”
Taehyung merely hums, his eyes dark and gleaming as he sips a long finger inside you. You whimper, your legs trying to snap shut, but his body stops it from occurring. He pumps it in and out of you at a steady pace, listening to you whine and moan, observing the way you writhe in bliss.
“How badly do you want it, babe?” Taehyung rasps, deep voice husky with lust. He rests his forehead on yours, your breaths mixing while more noises spill out of you. “Huh? How badly do you want Daddy’s cock? Tell me, babygirl.”
“Please!” you cry out, back arching when the pad of his finger brushes over your sweet spot. “O-Oh, fuck yes, please–”
“W-Want it so bad!” you sob, tears stained black from your liner and mascara. “Please, please, fill me up until I can’t think of anything but you!” You squeal, your entrance burning slightly from the intrusion of a second digit, but it feels so fucking good. “P-Please, fuck me up with your big cock, please!”
Taehyung smirks. “That’s a good girl."
While he continues to finger you, Taehyung miraculously shucks off his pants and boxers, cock springing free from its confinements. You lick your lips at the sight of him. Long and girthy, slightly curved with a bulbous tip, veins ridging it, the prominent one crawling up to his frenulum like a tree. You pant in anticipation as Taehyung sits between your legs once more, clenching around nothing when he taps his cock on your drenched pussy.
You’re so deep in your own little world that you don’t even notice him removing his shirt. You grind up against his dick, whining, clit singing at the friction.
“Want Daddy’s cock so bad, don’t you?” Taehyung coos.
You eagerly nod. “Yes, please!”
“Let me hear it one more time, baby.”
You keen, clutching the sheets in your hands, a lump of frustration growing in your throat. Damn him and his teasing. “Please, fuck me, Daddy.”
“Good girl,” Taehyung purrs, and finally, after what felt like endless torture, he enters you. He hisses. “Fuck, so fucking tight...”
You, on the other hand, are in complete bliss, eyes shut in ecstasy. He fills you up little by little, sinking further and further into you until he’s fully seated within you. Your eyes roll at how full you feel, his pelvis pressed to your core, his balls flush with your second hole. You softly pant, shifting in your spot beneath Taehyung, your walls rhythmically clenching around him. This spurs him into action.
He starts slow, one deep stroke after another. You quietly curse, and Taehyung lowly groans, the sound causing you to clamp down around him again.
“Fuck, relax,” Taehyung croaks.
“F-Feels so good,” you whimper.
“I know, baby.”
Your head falls back on the bed, a little whine slipping out of you, your tits bouncing in time with Taehyung’s gentle tempo. You hook your knees to your chest, allowing him more room to work. He lovingly pets your thighs in thanks. Taehyung grunts, nibbling his lip, his hair falling in his face. God, he looks like a god above you like this, completely drunk on your pussy, just like you’re drunk on his cock.
“Go faster,” you plead. “Please.”
“Yeah?” Taehyung picks up the pace, assuming a medium tempo. “Like this?”
You whine and shake your head. “Faster!”
“Be specific, darling.” His hand ghosts over your throat, which has your walls fluttering around his cock. His fingers always make a pretty necklace when Taehyung’s in the mood.
“F-Fuck me until I can’t think straight,” you beg, lightly grasping his wrist. “Please, Daddy.”
“That’s better.” Soon, Taehyung bucks into you with the manner of a well-oiled machine, quick and precise, hips smacking against your ass. He grunts, holding your legs for you while you cradle your tits for emotional support. “This what you wanted, babydoll? Hm?”
“Yes!” you cry, pinching and pulling at your nipples. “F-Fuck yes, Daddy, oh my god!”
Taehyung breathlessly chuckles at your confirmation, using your words as encouragement. He adjusts his angle slightly, along with the depth of his thrusts, and a loud wail is ripped out of you. He smirks. Bingo. Taehyung continues at this position, tip bludgeoning your sweet spot repeatedly. You shriek, eyes crossing, stars speckling your vision. You can’t even talk anymore, rendered speechless by his cock.
He melted your brain. He always does.
The sensation of his cock deliciously gliding against your throbbing walls is addicting, creating a high only your pussy adores. The veiny ridges provide a pleasant catch along your molten core, the lip of his tip adding to it, perfectly hitting that spongy part within you again and again. Your toes curl in your heels, and because of Taehyung’s godly pace, one of them falls off, bouncing on the bed and clattering to the floor. The other one joins it in courtesy of Taehyung.
“Gonna fuckin’ pump you full of my cum,” Taehyung grunts, curling up and hovering above you, forearms situated by your head. His pace becomes stilted, signaling his approaching end. “Until it leaks out of you, babygirl.”
You simply moan, which has him laughing. “Did I fuck my girl dumb? You’re so cute.”
Despite his impending doom, it doesn’t stop Taehyung from fucking you with fervor. No, he keeps going, pistoning into you, operating like a jackhammer.
“D-Daddy,” you croak, clawing at his ribs. The icy burn you’ve learned to love has begun to creep up on you, body trembling in expectation. Fuck, you’re so close. “‘M-M gonna cum.”
Taehyung groans. “Yeah? Gonna make a giant mess on my cock?”
“U-Uh huh!”
He hisses, brows furrowing in determination. Jaw clenching, Taehyung vigorously pounds into you, fingers tangling in the sheets by your head. Your noises rise in volume as your orgasm speed towards you like a bullet train, closer and closer until–
You scream, back arching like a bow, your soul dropping into the pool of euphoria waiting to embrace you. You loudly moan as its fingers caress you, stroking the most intimate parts of you while your pussy paints Taehyung’s cock white, not even aware of the clear liquid splashing all over the two of you. You sink deep into that pool, ascending into spaces you’ve never reached before. Your eyes grow heavy, and your hearing is reduced to a high-pitched ringing.
You shut your eyes to rest for a few seconds, just to wholeheartedly enjoy euphoria’s touch. However, when you wake, you discover you’ve been tucked under the blankets. You frown and sit up, only to pause at the feeling of cloth on your body. You glance at yourself. You’re no longer in the costume; rather, in a large oversized tee.
What the hell?
“You’re awake.”
At his voice, you seeks him out. He enters the bedroom with a bowl of your favorite snack and a glass of water.
“What happened?” you quietly ask him.
His lips stretch into a smug smirk. “You squirted. Hard. Then you passed out, but I cleaned you up and made sure you were comfortable.” He offers you the snack and water. “I bring refreshments.”
Your cheeks flare with heated embarrassment. “I-I passed out? From squirting?"
“Yup.” Taehyung chuckles, crawling into bed beside you. “It was pretty hot, not gonna lie. I came on your tummy instead of inside you like I wanted, but it’s okay. Your health and safety comes first.”
You shyly sip your water, leaning back on the pillow. “Did you like it, at least?”
“Hm?” Taehyung peeks at you. “Like what?"
You bashfully divert your gaze. “The outfit.”
A low chuckle. “I loved it, baby. You looked so pretty in it while I fucked you, and those tights… Goddamn.”
You quietly giggle, bowing your head, your hair falling and curtaining your red face. Taehyung brushes it behind your ear. “I loved it, babydoll.”
“Really?” You peek at him.
“Mhmm.” Taehyung twines an arm around your waist, tugging you close. “If you order another costume next time, tell me. I wanna see you put it on.”
“N-Next time?”
“Oh, baby.” Another chuckle rumbles in his throat. He presses a kiss to your ear. “There’s always a next time with you.”

Chapter Five
Summary: How many men will it take to save you? To be honest, you've gotten pretty used to saving yourself. Even though you're far from a delicate thing, Los Angeles is a dangerous place you can't seem to escape no matter how hard you try. The top 7 members of Bangtan should never have crossed your path, but they soon find they'd do just about anything to help you escape your past and make it safe for you to stay. But will you?
Genre: mafia au, poly ot7, angst, some smut, honestly a lot more fluff than i expected, POC reader/oc
Warnings: HEAVY angst, mentions of human trafficking, violence, implied sexual assault, talking about past physical and emotional abuse, speaking about forced drug use, Taehyung (and Hoseok) being a dumb ass
Extra Warning:
There's implied sexual assault during this chapter as well as mentions of physical abuse--if anyone wants to skip this chapter, I'll give a summary of what happens later this week. If you do choose to read, please pay attention to the ❌ you will see. That's when the material of the story will be the most sensitive. When it is "safe" to read you will see ✅. Please note that a lot of this au involves Y/n understanding and dealing with her trauma. Please make your mental health a priority and engage with this media in a way that makes you feel most comfortable.

Jungkook did as he was told, as usual. After catching a couple hours of shut eye, he rolled out of bed while it was still dark and drove over to your apartment. He'd been there once with Taehyung while you were at work and he was just able to find his way back, even in the dark. The eastern sky was just starting to lighten up when he parked in front of the building next to yours. He leaned his head back against the rest and fought the urge to close his eyes.
Luckily, he didn't have to wait long before you came out. He couldn't help the small laugh that escaped his lips when he saw you walk right past him carrying a duffle bag that looked as if it weighed as much as you did. Still, you didn't seem to be struggling under it. He waited a minute to let you get ahead down the street, before he flipped his car around and followed your direction. Two blocks away he saw you standing at a bus stop, bag on the ground and hands in the pockets of your acid wash skinny jeans. He didn't see a bus in sight, so he hung a left turn and circled the block before parking once again far enough down the street that he could see you without you noticing him. The sky continued to lighten its hues as he watched you.
Jungkook could see why Taehyung was initially attracted to you. You were clearly pretty with your tan skin that was a bit darker than Taehyung's own shade of sun kissed California tan. You released your hair from its bun and it fell in soft, dark waves down your back. As you combed your fingers through the strands, he found himself wondering what it would be like to have his hands in your hair, and he felt himself twitch in his pants before he stopped himself from following that path. He had to focus. You held yourself differently now from how you did the times he'd seen you before last night. You couldn't have gotten much sleep if any, yet you looked entirely alert. Sure, you weren't aware of him, but you seemed entirely aware of your surroundings otherwise. Your posture was ready for anything, and it spoke of an untold strength that wasn't apparent at first glance. He was sure now that you were much stronger than you looked. That would explain how you took down that "fucking monster" —Hoseok's words—last night.
Ten minutes later, a bus came down the street from behind him and pulled to a stop up the block where you were waiting. Jungkook watched as you hoisted up your bag and stepped into the bus. When the bus moved on he let several cars pass between them before he pulled out to follow it. A bus wasn't hard to keep track of, but it would be suspicious to stay too close, so he tried to keep his distance. Eventually, you got off across the street from the greyhound station, and Jungkook parked the car once again.
The sun had come up over the horizon by then and it was already starting to heat up. The station wasn't too busy this early in the morning. Jungkook watched you walk inside, hoping you'd pick a bus that would leave soon so he could go home and sleep. His hopes were satisfied when you came out on the terminal side a few minutes later. You dropped your bag to the ground at the last terminal closest to him and shifted anxiously on your feet, periodically looking around you or down at the ticket clutched tight in your hands.
Jungkook looked up the bus schedule on his phone to check the details and called Namjoon, who answered after two rings.
"Anything?"
"She's doing what you said. She's at the station waiting for a bus to Phoenix. Should be here any minute," Jungkook informed his boss.
There was an audible sigh on the other end and Jungkook thought it almost sounded like relief. "Good. Stay there until she goes, just to be sure."
"Why do you care so much that she goes?" Jungkook wondered.
"She said she would go, and I think it's for the best, for Taehyung, for us, and for her, too. She said some things last night…it's best if she's out of LA, trust me."
"Sure, Joon."
"Thanks, Jungkook."
"Yeah, I just do-"
"Jungkook?" Namjoon asked after the man on the other end went silent for too long.
"Something's happening," Jungkook mumbles.
"What is it?"
"A black escalade just pulled up to the terminal and some huge mother fucker got out. He's talking to Val."
"What is she doing?"
"She doesn't look happy to see him, that's for sure."
"Are they talking?"
Jungkook chuckled. "She's definitely mouthing off to him."
"So not a friend?"
"I'm pretty sure he just showed her his gun. Shut her up. And now she's walking to his car."
"Damn."
"What's going on, Joon?"
"Can you tell me anything about the guy?"
Jungkook squinted to try to catch any details as the man escorted you back to his vehicle. "Mexican, I think. Big as a fucking tank. Didn't know they made Armani suits that big."
"Damn,” Namjoon said again, harsher this time.
"You got any ideas?"
"Yeah. You think they looked friendly at all?" Namjoon wondered.
"Definitely not. Especially not how he just shoved her inside the car."
"I need you to follow them, Jungkook. You think you can do that?"
"Yeah I'm on it."
"Keep your distance, though. This could get dangerous."
Jungkook smirked. "Dangerous is my middle name."
"That's not encouraging, Kookie. Just keep track of them and call me in a bit."
Jungkook sighed as he started to follow the large SUV with dark tinted windows. As they traveled further west, he was glad he'd filled the tank up this morning before he went after you. It wasn't easy to follow them and remain inconspicuous while they wove through traffic at 90 miles an hour, but Jungkook managed to keep up. Just where the hell were they taking you? Finally, he called Namjoon after he'd followed the escalade off the I-10.
"Where are you?" The leader asked without a greeting.
"I'm in fucking Malibu."
"Damn. Have they stopped?"
"No, but- god damn it!" Jungkook pulled over and stopped the car, smacking his hand against the steering wheel.
"What happened?"
"They just drove into a gated community. Where the fuck are they taking her?" Jungkook could see the big mansions beyond the wall, but there was no way to get to them, and it caused a sinking feeling in his stomach.
"Alright. Come home, babe. I don't wanna risk you out there."
"What do you mean, hyung? What's going on? Who has her?"
Namjoon sighed tiredly on the other end. "It's La familia, and I think they're taking her to Joaquin Moreno's house."
"What the fuck? Why? And how do you know?"
"She told me last night that she…was familiar with them, in the past. That's why she was running, but she didn't run fast enough."
Jungkook didn't know why anxiety was bubbling in his chest for a girl he didn't even know, but he couldn't keep it down and it showed in his voice when he spoke. "That guy's a fucking psycho, hyung. We can't leave her there."
"Look, I know. But there's nothing we can do right now. Just come home."
"Has Taehyung come back yet?"
Namjoon sighed again. "He just pulled up."
"He's gonna be fucking pissed."
"That's an understatement. Look, I'm not telling him anything right now."
Jungkook nodded to himself. "Good call. I'm gonna go back to her place and see if she makes it home tonight."
"Jungkook, you don't have to do that."
"Yeah, but you kinda want me to, don't you?"
There was a pause as the leader hesitated on the other end. "Yeah. Yeah, go ahead. Thanks."
Jungkook couldn't help a smirk. "There's something about her, huh?"
Namjoon breathed a laugh. "Yeah. I'm glad you see it too."
"Yeah. We're all totally fucked now," Jungkook chuckled.
"Be careful out there," Namjoon warned, his words heavy with affection.
"Dont worry about me, Joonie. Good luck with Tae."
Jungkook hung up the call and shifted the car into gear. If he was going to spend all day waiting for you, he was going to need some food.
Tumblr media
The front door of the mansion slammed shut, rattling some of the fixtures on the walls.
"She fucking left, hyung! Can you believe that? She just fucking left me sleeping. Not even a goodbye!" Taehyung shouted, walking straight into Namjoon's office just as he was hanging up his phone call with Jungkook.
"What's that?" Seokjin looked pointedly at the teddy bear hanging from Taehyung's left hand.
"A goddamn parting gift, I guess." The younger man tossed the stuffed toy to the floor like he didn't care, but his eyes lingered on it. He looked back up at the other two men, who looked between him and the plushie. After an awkward moment he bent down to pick it up again. "If I could get her back, I'd fucking kill her for leaving me," Taehyung muttered as he brushed it off.
Namjoon put his hands in his pockets with an annoyed sigh, "I'm sure she had a good reason for leaving."
"Why? Why are you taking her side?" Taehyung held back.
"I'm not. But I saw her last night and she was scared. Maybe she had no other choice."
"No other choice? She had me. I can protect her. Now that she knows everything, I can do anything to protect her." He raked a shaking hand through his disheveled hair. He looked like shit after his clothes spent all night on your floor and after getting barely any sleep. His red eyes shot up to stare at his leader, the man he knew as his own brother since they'd been raised together after the death of Taehyung's parents. "Do you know where she went? You talked to her last night. Did she tell you where she's going?"
"She didn't say. She just said she had to go, and that you shouldn't stop her." It wasn't easy to lie to Taehyung, but Namjoon didn't want to find out what he would do if he knew where you were now.
"So you knew she was going to leave me and you didn't even tell me?" Taehyung's tired features twisted with betrayal.
"Tae, what was I supposed to do? If she wants to leave, that's her choice. You'll have to accept it."
"It's alright, Taehyung-ah. More fish in the sea, right?" Seokjin tried to calm him down.
"I'll find her." Taehyung turned, determined, even if he knew he'd already lost too much time. He dug his hand in his pockets for his keys.
"No. You won't. Go upstairs and take a shower. Spend the day in. Get some rest. I don't need you out on the streets getting reckless right now." Namjoon's voice was firm, but it only fueled his rage.
"You may be in charge of this organization, hyung-nim, but you don't control me," Taehyung answered through gritted teeth.
Namjoon leveled the younger man with a stare that had helped him gain his reputation as a fearsome ganglord. "I told you to tell her what was going on weeks ago, especially with all this going on with the triads, so that you could keep her safe. You didn't, and she got caught in the middle. And now Zhang and his men are dead too. So right now, Seokjin and I have to go do some damage control. And I need you to keep your ass in this house and not cause anymore fucking problems right now. Got it?"
Taehyung couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't get him into trouble, so he just grumbled under his breath and walked away to his room.
Tumblr media
It had still been pretty early in the morning when Jungkook left Malibu with a pit in his stomach. Around 2pm he started to regret his decision to wait at your place to see if they'd bring you back. What if they kept you? What if they'd already killed you? He should have stayed. He was lost in thought when a car pulled up next to him and the door opened to let someone out, so he was surprised when he saw it was Hoseok knocking on the glass of the passenger side door. He quickly got in after Jungkook unlocked it. Whoever had dropped him off was already gone.
"What are you doing here?" Jungkook mumbled.
"I was with the boss and Seokjin for a meeting, but I wanted to keep you company." Hoseok slipped an energy drink into the cup holder. "Nothing yet?"
"Nada," Jungkook replied with an ironic smile before he cracked the can open with a satisfying pop.
"Can you believe this? We've managed to avoid La familia for all these years and now we're getting wrapped up, all because of Taehyung."
"We're not wrapped up." Jungkook didn't look at his hyung while he talked, eyes scanning the streets.
"Yeah, then what are you doing here?" Hoseok gave him a suspicious look, but the younger man ignored it.
"I just wanna see if she comes back alive, that's all."
"And if she doesn't?"
"I don't know."
"And if she does?"
"I don't know, man! But Namjoon is suspicious and-"
"And you just wanna see her again," Hoseok smirked.
Jungkook pushed his head back against the rest. "It's not like that!"
"No, I get it. Really. Val's fucking nuts and that's hot. Crazy girls always have the best sex. But they're nothing but trouble and we've got enough of that." Hoseok helped himself to some of Jungkook's chips he'd been munching on to keep himself awake. "But you know, if she comes back, she's still Taehyung's girl."
"Shut up."
"I'm just saying, man! Don't set your eyes on her, cause-"
"No. Shut up. That's their escalade," Jungkook informed him, nodding to the large vehicle that had stopped in front of Yn's apartment building.
For a moment nothing happened. Then quickly the car door opened and Val tumbled out. A second later her duffle bag was thrown in the ground at her feet. Then the door closed again and idled there.  She gave her middle finger to whoever was inside and then scooped up her bag before going toward the gate. Once she made it past the entrance, the driver of the SUV floored it and sped down the road, tires screeching.
"Well, she's alive. You ready to go home or you wanna shoot your shot?" Hoseok asked around a mouthful of chips.
Jungkook glared at his hyung from the corner of his eye. "Did you really come here just to bust my balls?"
"Pretty much." Hoseok grinned childishly.
"Where did she go?" Jungkook looked frantically around. There was no way you could be inside already, but you were nowhere to be seen. His pulse quickened as Hoseok began looking closely, too. Both men jumped, simultaneously reaching for their weapons when you opened the rear door behind Hoseok and threw your bag inside. You climbed in after it and shut the door loudly, both men looking at you with wide eyes and raised guns.
"Take me to Kim Namjoon."
Tumblr media
"What happened? Is she-" Namjoon stopped short when he caught sight of you walking into his living room once again.
"I'm alive, for now," you grumbled, coming to a stop a few feet from him.
"What are you doing here?"
"Val?" Taehyung's voice cut through to you, and you couldn't stop yourself from turning to him, as much as you didn't want to. Whatever had happened since you left him in the morning, your feelings toward him hadn't changed. If anything you felt farther from him than ever. Less capable of loving him. Nevertheless, he wrapped you up in his arms and whispered into your hair. "You came back."
You sighed and pushed gently against his chest to get him to let you go. "Tae, this isn't why I came back." You turned back to the leader, who rephrased his question.
"Why are you here?"
"Great question. I should be pulling into Phoenix right about now, but instead I'm still in Los Angeles because of that hijo de puta, Joaquin."
Jungkook and Hoseok chuckled behind you. They couldn't seem to get enough of your ranting and cursing in Spanish. "What happened?"
"Every time I try to leave this goddamn city he finds out and pulls some shit to keep me here. Like my freedom is some kind of sick game to him."
"Who the fuck is Joaquin?" Taehyung interjected suspiciously.
"Joaquin Moreno," Namjoon replied.
"The Joaquin Moreno?" Taehyung's jaw dropped to the floor before he closed it and swallowed hard.
"Yeah. So I'm going to need Bangtan's protection, because this time, he's not going to let me go."
Taehyung raised his eyebrows at you. "What do you mean 'this time'?"
But you ignored him for the moment and focused on Namjoon. "Joaquin's new mission is to come after your organization. But he's only doing it to control me. So I say, we team up and get rid of him instead."
Namjoon put his hands in his pockets and looked you up and down. "How can I know this isn't a trick?"
"I told you," you gritted out quietly.
"You suggested. But you also didn't follow through on what you said you would do and you spent the day with your supposed enemy, so how can I trust you?"
You hadn't seen them come in, but all the members of the inner circle of Bangtan were in the room now, and while they watched on with confused eyes they had you surrounded and you could feel their defenses tightening. You held up your hands in surrender.
"You wanna check me for a wire, boss daddy?" You smirked.
Namjoon returned a tilted smile before he nodded. "Taehyung."
His subordinate made a meal of patting down your body, and you tried your best not to let the way you cringed show through. When he was done, he smacked your ass and you threw him a glare.
"She's clean."
"Look, I have nothing to prove that I'm on your side except for the fact that I hate him more than anyone on the planet and all I want is to see him dead."
"What do you have against the leader of La Familia?" Jimin asked from behind you. You turned to glance at him and sighed.
"Can someone get a girl a drink?" You asked as you walked over to one of the dark leather arm chairs and sat down.
Jungkook snorted. "Have you even had anything to eat today?"
You shot him a sharp look as well. "Mind your own business, stalker." The youngest rolled his eyes. Jimin handed you a glass of brown liquid and sat beside you with his body facing you, cheek against his palm in rapt attention. You took a drink, swallowing the burn before you looked up at the seven sets of curious eyes.
"My name is Y/N Y/L/N. My father worked for a cartel in Veracruz. As gangsters go, he was pretty much as bad as they come. He was the guy you called when you wanted someone to disappear. When I was fifteen, there was a job that he refused to complete, some kid he was supposed to kill and for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to do it. Even when the cartel came for me and threatened to take my life, he wouldn't follow through. In the end, my father was killed and the cartel sold me to a man who worked for La Familia. He was just the first in a long chain of men who moved people, mostly women, from central America into the port of Los Angeles. And that was where I first met Joaquin and his father."

The shipping container allowed in just enough light to tell the difference between night and day. The wreaking air was stifling, until finally the door opened.
"Twenty-five women, as promised," the loathsome man who had brought you here informed the boss. "Was almost twenty-four," he mumbled.
"Why?" You couldn't see the man's face, but his voice was one of a man who always got answers to his questions. You didn't need to see him to know he was in charge.
"This one's a runner," the first man replied, and you knew he was clearly pointing at you. You stood at the head of the pack, the rest of the terrified women standing behind you. It wasn't that you weren't terrified. You were just unwilling to give up until you got away.
You survive, no matter what, your fathers words echoed in your head.
"Bring her here."
The large man who had so enjoyed beating you each time you attempted to escape came forward to grab you by the arm. You struggled against his grip, but back then you weren't so strong and he dragged you out of the container to throw you on the ground in front of the boss. You scrambled to your feet and moved away from him. Now in the lights of the dock you could see the man and all his subordinates standing with guns. There was nowhere for you to go but back in the container. The boss approached you and grabbed you by the jaw.
"Huh. She could be pretty, if she wasn't so filthy," a man behind him commented.
You turned your hate-filled eyes on the one who spoke. He was tall and fit, and truthfully quite handsome, but even from where you stood, you could see the madness in his eyes. You began to wriggle free, jerking your face away from the older man, only for him to grab you by the throat.
"You see that? The will to live? You can't teach that. And you can't destroy it, either. You can only train it. Channel it." The man pulled you closer to him.
"She won't do for the whorehouse," the younger man said.
The elder looked over his shoulder. "You want her, mijo?"
The younger shrugged nonchalantly, but it was clear he was already obsessed with you. "Might be able to do something with her."
"The only thing this one will ever do is fight," the boss told him.
"Perfect."
"Hm." The boss grunted and pushed you toward his son as if you were nothing. "Get the rest out of here."
Joaquin—you would soon learn his name—caught you by your arms and held you up. His hands went to your face. There was an already fading bruise over your left eye from a beating you received a week earlier, and he hummed as he traced his thumb over it. "Let's see what fun we can have, princesa."
"The night I arrived on the docks Joaquin took me home to his mansion and made me his personal plaything. For three months, I did nothing but try to escape, only to be dragged before him each time and punished. One night he beat me nearly to death, and I knew I'd never get free if I wasted my energy like that. I needed to be stronger, not half dead. And so when he decided to groom me to be a fighter, I let him."
"The scars," Taehyung said quietly. He sat across the room, directly in front of you, and you met his eyes for a second before you looked away.
"Joaquin had me take steroids. I trained half the day until I was ready to fight. Among their many illegal businesses, La familia runs an underground boxing ring, and for nearly four years I ruled it."
Jungkook scoffed. "Are we supposed to believe this?" You glared at him, but Namjoon stepped in.
"Let her finish." You took another drink and continued.
"For five years, I was Joaquin's property. I was his fighter, his whore, his thief. All I could do was bide my time until I could escape, but I was watched constantly. When his father died, I knew things would change. Joaquin's a psychopath, and I didn't want to stick around anymore to see how far he would take things as a leader. I asked him if I could fight for my freedom, and he reluctantly agreed. He got the biggest guy you can imagine to beat the shit out of me in a prize fight. I almost died, but I was the one who survived, and he had no choice but to let me leave." You drained your cup and looked down at the empty glass. "It was a lie though. He's had his eyes on me for the last two years, and anytime I've tried to leave LA he had his men catch me and put me right back in my place. And the only way I'll ever be truly free is if he dies."
"And why should this have anything to do with us?" Namjoon finally asked, sitting back in his chair and brushing imaginary dust off his slacks.
✅✅✅
You sighed and set your empty glass on the end table. "This morning his goons picked me up at the bus station and took me to his mansion." Your eyes traveled over Jungkook and he shifted uncomfortably. "Among lots of other gross things, he said if I helped him cut into your counterfeit operations then he would finally let me leave LA, and if I don't help him then he's going to make me his prisoner again."
"So why are you here? Why ask for our help instead of helping him?" Seokjin wondered.
"Because he's a fucking liar, and as I said, he'll never let me go. So I want you to help me kill him instead, and then we can go our separate ways."
Namjoon shook his head. "We can't just kill a rival gang leader, especially not one as well connected as Moreno. It would be the end of Bangtan when they retaliate."
"I know that. But I don't need you to kill him. I just need you to help me to get in a position to do it myself."
"You were with him today. You were alone with him? Why not try then? How could we even help?" Jungkook asked.
"It's not that simple. I need time. I'm not strong enough right now," your voice weakened with your admission, feeling disgusted by all the ways he had proved that to you earlier.
"I thought you said I couldn't protect you. So why are you asking now?" Taehyung interjected, throwing your words back at you.
"Because you can't. Once he's dead I'll be on the run for the rest of my life," you responded as if it were obvious.
"Then what's the point of killing him?" Hoseok asked, analyzing you with arms crossed over his chest.
"Because someone needs to kill that bastard."
"Surely lots of people have tried. What makes you think you can succeed?" Namjoon pushed. "You're just a little girl."
"Because he deserves to rot in hell for what he's done to me! I won't let him have me again!" You exploded at him, and the room fell completely silent as their eyes stayed fixed on you. The only movement was the agitated rise and fall of your chest as you tried and failed to breathe steadily.
"We'll do it," Namjoon agreed, breaking the tense silence. "We'll protect you until Moreno is dead."
You sighed, letting yourself deflate and pushing aside the embarrassment you felt for your outburst. Normally, you tried so hard to hold on to your emotions, to keep them simmering beneath the surface. Fighting with Taehyung was different. An activity. True anger and heartbreak were things you only let out when you were alone because letting anyone see them would reveal your weakness, but that had seemed to be the thing that convinced Namjoon of your sincerity. Now that he agreed, you put the wall back up.
"Thank you," you said coldly.
"Do you have a plan?" The leader got to his feet and you followed suit.
"Not yet. It's been…a hectic day. But we should find a way to turn his plans against him. I think his ultimate goal is to hurt the Chinese by exploiting your fued with them."
"Why does he care about the triads?" Jungkook wondered.
"The Mexicans and the Chinese have been fighting over pieces of California for over a century. It's just what they do," you shrugged.
"We can work it out later," Namjoon interrupted. "We should be smart with our plans. For now though, as you said, it's been a hectic day, and you should rest." The leader looked down at you and you almost thought there was genuine concern in his eyes. You glimpsed a similar look in them the night before when you first revealed your past to him. "Doc."
"Yes, sir?" Yoongi responded, suddenly becoming alert.
"See if you can find her something to eat."
The pale man nodded. "Cmon," he invited as he started toward the kitchen but stopped when he saw you weren't moving.
"It's okay. Jungkook can take me home. I have work tonight, since I'm staying." You looked hesitantly at Jungkook.
"No." The short word left Namjoon's lips with authority that even you couldn't question. "You'll stay here from now on. If we're going to protect you, we're going to do it right. Otherwise Moreno could grab you at any moment." There's a pause while he gives you another of his appraising looks. "There's a spare bedroom upstairs you can stay in."
"She can stay with me," Taehyung offered instead. You turned your eyes on him harshly.
"The spare room will be fine." You could see the anger bubbling in your ex boyfriend immediately. He was about to open his mouth but Yoongi stepped in.
"Fight about it later. You should eat something now, Y/N."
You flinched at the name and it didn't go unnoticed by the others. You cleared your throat. "If you could keep calling me Val, I'd appreciate it. Y/N is…someone else."
Yoongi nodded understandingly. "Cmon, Val."
Tumblr media
After you ate the sandwich Yoongi made, he showed you to the room Namjoon said could be yours. Jungkook had already taken your bag from the car and left it there for you. And for the rest of the evening you were left to your own devices. Without venturing out from the suite that was larger than your whole apartment, you could sense that the house was mostly empty. The members of Bangtan must be out for the night, participating in various nefarious activities. You tried to make yourself comfortable in the new space, but the events of the day kept you ill at ease, so you decided to draw yourself a hot bath in the gigantic tub in the ensuite bathroom.
❌ 8am, Malibu ❌
You knew if you didn't want to end up a dead girl at the greyhound station then you'd better get in the car with that big mother fucker. Neither he, nor the driver,  nor the third man in the car said much as you sped down the I-10 toward Malibu, but you didn't need them to tell you where you were going. You wondered if Jungkook was still following you, but you weren't dumb enough to look behind you to see.
You were led into Joaquin's modern style mansion. Most of the exterior walls that faced the ocean were entirely glass. An odd choice for someone who knowingly conducted illegal business at home, but the beach down below was private and he clearly wasn't bothered. It was quiet in the large open living room and it would have been nice to enjoy the view of the ocean, but you were taken straight to his office.
"The place hasn't changed at all," you remarked as you stood in the familiar room.
"Did you miss it here?" Joaquin asked with a smug smile that made your stomach turn.
"Like one misses a leech."
"Don't lie, Y/N. You must miss me a little, miss what we had together, since you called me last night," he slowly walked closer to you, "when you were in distress."
"I was angry, not distressed," you corrected.
"Yes, and you accused me of putting you in danger, when you know I would never." He stopped in front of you and looked down his nose at you. "But you've learned the truth now, haven't you? About your new lover?"
You tensed, and of course he noticed, but he switched tracks. "You know, I've been wanting to tell you for months that I love your body now." As he spoke he placed his hands on your hips and reached down to grope your ass. Instantly you raised your hands to his chest to push him off of you, but he pulled you closer and purred in your ear. "You aren't strong enough to fight me off anymore, princesa. And I used to love your strong, firm body. You know that. But this curvier, softer body of yours, well I've been wanting to feel it for a long time."
Your blood ran cold and you could feel yourself become paralyzed, but you fought it off and with it you gave him one last push.
"Still the fighter, I see." Joaquin grinned with satisfaction as he caught himself.
"I will always fight you. You know that," you growled at him.
"Not always,” Joaquin corrected. “But lately it seems it’s your favorite game."
"Is that what this is? A game to you? My life, my freedom is just sport?"
Joaquin laughed. "Yes, Y/N! Exactly that! You get exactly as much freedom as I give you. I let you out of your cage, but you remain in my city, and you cannot leave without my permission."
You groaned. "I'm sick of this, Joaquin. Why must we do this? Why don't you just let me go."
Joaquin tisked at you. "Because you belong to me, princesa. Just as you always have and you know it." His words turned your stomach to lead. "But this time, I have a way for you to earn your freedom for real. If you help me with this one thing, I will let you leave LA and never return."
You looked him up and down suspiciously. You knew better than to trust a word he said. He would never let you go free, not really. Still you played his game. "What is it?"
Joaquin smiled and walked around his desk. "Do you know how the Koreans make their fortune?"
You had a sense of deja vu. Except this time you genuinely had no idea. "Of course not. I only found out about them last night and I didn't exactly ask for the rundown."
"But you did meet their leader, Kim Namjoon, did you not?" He sat down in his chair and waved someone in to bring him a drink.
You swallowed without knowing exactly why he was making you so nervous simply by mentioning the man's name. "Yes, I did."
Joaquin clasped his hands together and sucked in a breath. "I've never met the man, but I imagine he must be a superior son of a bitch, no?"
You shrugged. That hadn't been your impression but you weren't really thinking about it at the time.
"Anyway, the Koreans think they're something else. They deal in drugs, as we all do. But more importantly, they deal mostly in counterfeit goods and stolen goods on the antiquities market. They compete mostly with the Chinese, but I would like to push them out of LA."
You furrowed your brow at him. "Why? Why do the Chinese a favor? It doesn't seem like the Koreans are interfering with you in any way."
"Does it matter to you why? All you have to do is help me take over their counterfeit operations and when it's done you can escape to whichever corner of the world you choose." He gestured widely with a flutter of his fingers.
"Why do you need me? How can I help? I'm not involved with them." Hell, you were trying to run as fast and as far as you could.
"Yes, but you will be. You can do it perfectly. All you have to do is run back to your little boyfriend and ask for his protection. Get close to them, learn about their business and report back to me. You know the routine."
"But I've broken up with Taehyung. I can't go back now," you explained.
"Nonsense. From what Mariana has told me, he's crazy about you." He gave you a dark and conspiratorial look. "I'm sure he'll be glad to take you back into his bed. He seemed to enjoy it so much before." The lecherous tone in his voice made your skin crawl.
"You've had my roommate watching me," you surmised.
"All along, princesa. I know everything." He walked around the desk to stand in front of you once more. "Including how much you want to be free," he mocked.
"And if I won't whore myself out for your mission?"
"Then you'll stay here with me, baby." He locked eyes with you and you stared each other down for a long moment. It wasn't a hard choice to make, though. Anything was better than staying with him.
"I'll do it."
"Of course you will!" He cheered. "Now, someone, bring me some champaign, and then leave us alone. My princesa and I need to celebrate our reunion like old times." He came ever closer to you, stroking your cheek with his hand.
"Joaquin, no. Send me back!" You pleaded more than you would have liked.
"I will. Don't worry. But not until you remember exactly who it is you belong to." He grabbed you by your throat and pulled you closer. "Now, didn't you miss me?"
"Let me go!" You tried to break his hold but you couldn't.
"Oh, I never did like it when you begged," he sneered as he squeezed and started to cut off your oxygen.
✅ Beverly hills, 7pm ✅
The bath had gone cold while you suffered in your memories. You splashed your face with water to clear away the silent tears you'd cried. Then you got out and wrapped yourself in the softest towel in existence. Quickly, you dried off and got into a warm set of sweats for pajamas. The a/c in the mansion was strong and you were cold in spite of the August heat, not like in your sweltering little apartment. Or maybe it was just the shock of the day. You tried to close your eyes and push aside all thoughts, and you'd almost fallen asleep when you felt the bed dip beside you. Instantly you shot up, but someone dragged you back down.
"It's just me, Val." Taehyung spoke to you in the dark. With your mind suddenly awake you could smell the alcohol on his breath, but you could tell by his speech that he wasn't drunk yet. You knew what that sounded like on him. "I'm sorry if I woke you. But I don't know how you expect me to stand sleeping down the hall from you and not with you. I need you, baby." He pulled your body close to him and kissed your temple.
"Taehyung, you can't do this. I need some space," you whispered back, trying to push him off of you. "Please," you whimpered.
To your relief he backed off a bit. "I don't understand why you came back if you don't want to be with me," he moaned pathetically.
"I'm not the person you think I am, Taehyung," you replied coldly.
"You keep saying that. I heard your story today. I understand that you have a dark past but-"
"No, Tae. You weren't listening. I came back because I'll do anything to survive. Anything to escape. I didn't come back because I love you. I came because I had to. And if you don't start accepting that I'm only going to have to keep hurting you. I can't love you. I don't have that luxury."
A whimper caught in his throat and he stayed very still for a moment. "Let me stay. Just for tonight," he begged.
"No. I told you, I need space. I've had an awful day and the thought of your hands on me makes my skin crawl. Leave." Your words were harsh. And perhaps he didn't deserve them. But it got him to leave in a huff, slamming the door to your room on the way out.

Valentine's Day Masterlist
“What’s on your mind?”
Your eyes blink at Jay, your boyfriend, and you could only offer a faint smile. “I don’t want to ruin dinner with my thoughts.” you reply. You drop your fork and grasp your glass of wine.
Jay scoffs. “I can tell your head isn’t here,” he says. “Come on, tell me.”
You swallow your wine and lick your lips. “It’s Valentine’s Day.”
Jay raises a brow and leans in closer. He smirks. “So?” he murmurs. “I’m your boyfriend, you know. You can tell me what’s on your mind.”
Jay was correct - he was your boyfriend and someone you’ve grown close to for the last year. You were able to speak with him freely as if he was your best friend and it came naturally even if he was the opposite sex.
You sigh and nod your head. “You’re right.” you say. “I…haven’t talked to any of my friends in months. It’s like we all slowly just…”
“Grew apart?” Jay offers and when you nod, so does he. “I understand. What do you think happened?”
You shrug your shoulders. You’re unsure yourself of the reason. There wasn’t any bad blood between the four of you - there was nothing that could be done to a group of friends that has been established since middle school. You all managed to make it through High School and college without breaking apart.
Sure, there were a few petty arguments, but nothing that lasted months - hell, not even a full week.
Not speaking with them collectively had you nervous, but you were all adults. You four lived separate adult lives, Jang-Mi having moved hours away to start a new job. Minji had gotten married and divorce all under three years and had chosen to distract herself with work while Mi-sun focused on raising her daughter on her lonesome.
“And you haven’t spoken to either of them on the phone?” Jay questions.
“No.” you shake your head. “Only through text messages, but even those seem dry. Maybe I’m just overreacting.” you shake your head and release a humorless laugh. “Sorry. Today is supposed to be about us.”
Jay shakes his head. He offers you his hand and you take it. His hands are always soft, you notice, softer than yours. He presses a kiss onto your hand, soft lips tickling your skin. “It is about us.” Jay murmurs. “Today is our anniversary,” he continues. “but you’re still the woman I love and if somethings on your mind, I want you to talk about it.”
You love Jay - and this was one of the many reasons why. He was caring - genuinely caring. He always puts your wants and needs far beyond his own. A year isn’t a long time to be together for most people, but for you it was. You couldn’t see yourself being with another man, not when Jay was amazing as he was.
You met Jay a year prior while out, having bumped into one another. Literally. You recall the way your phone went flying and you nearly fell onto the ground when a pair of arms caught you - said arms had let you go immediately when you regained your balance. “I-I didn’t mean to grab you it’s-” the stranger began. “I’m so sorry I should’ve been looking where I was going.” you apologized profusely.
You learned that his name was Jay and as an apology, he asked you out for coffee. The two of you hit it off easily as he was a nice person to talk to. He was funny as he was kind and in the short time that you’ve known him, it was as if you and he knew one another for years.
Maybe Jay’s physical appearance helped a little - he was tall and fit. He dressed appropriately each time you and him met and he even offered to help you dress so the two of you matched for the occasion. His skin was the clearest you’ve ever seen on a man and appeared utterly glass and he had such perfect teeth.
It was hard in the beginning to be seen with Jay simply because of how beautiful he was, but he always made it known just how beautiful he thought you were and how much he appreciated you for being by his side.
“So,” Jay offers you a toothy grin. “talk to me like I’m your friend and not your boyfriend.”
You do, a part of you feels terrible about doing this while at dinner with him, but Jay was an understanding person. He could tell your head was elsewhere.
You tell Jay about everything - how you rarely saw your friends face to face and how you couldn’t even remember the last time you all spoke on the phone. You wanted to be understanding because the four of you were adults now and didn’t need to spend every waking moment together - but a call wasn’t asking for much.
At the end of it all, Jay is nodding his head in agreement. He hasn’t spoken much and instead decided to allow you to vent all your pent up frustrations.
“Felt good?” Jay snickers and you nod with a low grin. “I’m glad. I can’t excuse your friends' behaviors but I can try to see things from their point of view.”
You listen as Jay speaks.
“We’re all adults going through our adult lives. Jang-Mi had moved so far away it’s hard to go back into the routine you two had when she was closer. I’m sure she works long hours.”
You nod your head with a sigh, your heart sinking as you begin to feel bad for thinking that your friends were leaving you behind.
“Mi-sun is a mother and it’s tough raising a child on your own. She just doesn't live for herself anymore. Minji probably buries herself into work to get her mind off of the divorce. It wasn’t an…easy one.”
You recall the amount of times Minji had called you throughout the last year about how ultimately, she was going to be left with nothing after the divorce - Jay had been there the entire time listening as you tried to console your friend.
“You’re right.” you pick up your wine glass and take a sip. “We’ve all been through…so much.”
Jay raises a brow. “What do you mean?”
You eye him for a moment.
“I think it’s karma.” you shrug your shoulders. “We were terrible people in our youth.” you try to joke but you swallow thickly. “What we’re going through now is just what we deserve.”
Jay chuckles. “I’m sure it wasn’t that bad.” he takes a sip of his own wine.
“Before I met you my life was going to shit. I couldn’t keep a job to save my life and…” there wasn’t a need to focus on what you were going through at that moment because Jay knew. “..you helped me. Sometimes I believe I don’t deserve you.”
“It’s Valentine’s Day, Y/N.” Jay sighs, but his lips stretch into a smile. “Don’t get too emotional on me.” he jokes.
“I know…” you trail  off. “The divorce with Minji and how she had to work so hard  to get her life together. Jang-Mi left and got a new job hours away because of that scandal. Mi-sun had to raise a child all alone without any help that wasn’t us. I can’t sound crazy to believe our past actions had shaped our future.”
Jay is quiet as he hears you speak, so eerily silent that you glance away from him. “Or maybe I am crazy.” you murmur. “You aren’t.” Jay shakes his head. “Whatever…you  did in your past could have shaped the present. Truth is often stranger than fiction.” Jay grasps your hand into his own. “But you’re better now, Y/N. With me. You’ll never fall as long as I’m by your side.”
Jay gives you a smile that has your heart clenching.
Tumblr media
The room is beautiful and you are positive that Jay put a lot of thought into decorating it for you. The amount of rose petals leading up to the bed was one gesture you loved, but also the candles that were lit. You pondered when he had time to do such a thing.
Jay wraps an arm around you and brings you closer to him. His lips are soft as they kiss along your neck.  “I love this color on you.” Jay compliments, his hand sliding your sides. “Black is lovely against your skin.”
Your body flushes at the compliment and you could only giggle, giddy at the way your heart jumps. Jay insisted on you wearing the lingerie - a black lace and mesh material that leaves little to the imagination. The stockings are high and stop mid thigh.
“I like this color on you.” you tell Jay. He’s dressed down from his suit from early. Now, he sports a silk, red robe that’s tightly loosely around him. His tan skin peaks from beneath it.
“Valentine’s Day is all about you. I want to make you feel good.” Jay kisses down your neck towards your collarbone, leaving slightly wet kisses. “I want to try something new.”
You weren’t sure what to expect when being told “something new”. You were laid onto the bed you share with Jay, his lips continuing to kiss down your body. His eyes flicker upwards at you and he offers a mischievous grin that has your legs quivering.
“Something new” wasn't a robe tied tightly around your wrist and keeping you bound against your bed frame. You wouldn’t lie and say your body wasn’t filled with excitement - you and Jay never did this and sex was already enjoyable enough.
Jay licks his lips, his eyes meeting your curious ones. “You’re so beautiful. Always has been.” he murmurs, speaking aloud by himself.
Jay forces your legs open, his hand wrapping more rope around your ankles that he then ties to the end of the bed frame. He proceeds to do the same thing to your free leg.
“I can see how wet you are now.” Jay’s voice is deep and sultry, slowly consumed with his own lust. “You’ve always been the submissive type. The type to do whatever is asked of you.”
Jay’s hand trails teasingly up your leg, his fingertips feeling like feathers tickling your skin.
Jay’s finger taps lightly at your clothed clit, smirking at you teasingly. His index forces itself through the mesh material and he slides it to the side. “So wet.” he murmurs. “Relax, baby. I have something you’d like.”
Your pussy clenches with anticipation and your eyes watch Jay get up from the bed. He goes to the side of the bed and appears to go through a bag.
“I want you to feel good.” Jay says, turning towards you. Once more, your pussy clenches at the sight of the vibrator in the palm of his hand. “You’d let me, right?”
Hastily you nod your head, licking your lips with anticipation.
Jay turns on the vibrator and it’s loud, the buzzing noise tingling through your ears. He places it on your thigh to tease you and it does so greatly. He slides it across your thigh closer and closer between your legs.
“Baby?” Jay hums, gently pressing the vibrator against your clit.  “There’s no lies between us, right?”
Your legs begin to shake at the vibrators pressure against your clit. “N-No.” you stutter out.
“Then you’d tell me what you and your friends did, right?” Jay questions, pressing the vibrator even harder against you.
You struggle against the rope restraints. “W-What are you talking about?” you sigh - more like a moan. Your stomach was bubbling and you couldn’t contain the rest of the moans releasing from your mouth.
“Remember earlier…you said it must be karma why your lives have turned the way they did.” Jay begins to circle the vibrator against your clit. You’re so wet that it’s now fully coated in your sweet arousal. “Tell me what you’ve done that karma has come before you all?”
You aren’t sure what Jay is getting at and why he suddenly wanted to do this now. Your toes begin to curl.
Jay removes the vibrator from your swollen bud, his eyes dark with lust.  “Tell me.” he demands.
“I-I…nothing.” you shake your head, panting. Your lack of pleasure sends shock waves through your body. “Why are you-”
Your throat releases a shriek when the vibrator is brought back to your clit. Your eyes shut tightly as, once more, your thigh shakes. “Please-”
“You know,”Jay begins, circling the vibrator against you. “There’s four types of lies.”
“Jay…” the way you say his name causes his cock to jump in his pants. You’re full of lust and pleasure and he’s sure you’re not fully able to comprehend him.
“A white lie, a gray lie, a black lie and a red lie.” Jay continues. “A white lie is to first seek to help others. A gray lie is an in between; to partly help others and ourselves.”
Your toes begin to curl as Jay continues.
“A black lie…” Jay trails off, his eyes boring into your face. Your eyes are clenched shut and you’re panting. “...is pure selfishness. Nothing is gained from others when a black lie is told and it is used to purely get the liar out of trouble.”
Jay removes the vibrator once more and this time you cry out in protest. Your eyes snap open, sadden as you peer at Jay.
“You’re such a whore, Y/N.” he chuckles cruely, his demeanor changed from the caring boyfriend of just an hour early. Your body yearns for him regardless of this act. “You’re about to cry.”
“I just wanna cum, Jay.” you murmur in defeat.
“Yeah?” Jay comes closer to your face. “A red lie…” Jay places the vibrator against your clit, this time pressing the buttons on the side to increase the power. “...is done solely out of spite. Revenge. To harm others.”
Your eyes never leave his, even with the amount of blinking you’re doing to remain conscious. You’re groaning now, body shaking with pleasure.
“Can you guess which one I am, baby?”
What?
“If you guess right, I’ll let you cum.”
Your breathing increases and the only thing you can think about is cumming. “W-White.”
“Wrong.” Jay turns off the vibrator, but keeps it against your clit. “Can you guess which type of liar you are?”
“Jay…” you shake  your head. This act was making you impatient. “Please-”
“Tell me, Y/N. If you’ve done nothing in your past, then why have you and your friends gone through such terrible karma?”
“This act you’re doing is too much, Jay.”
“What act?” Jay scoffs. “Since you don’t know, baby. You’re a black liar. You’re selfish and you’re deflecting from your own involvement in the past.”
Your eyebrows knit together. “Jay…that isn’t funny-”
The vibrator turns on once more, shocking you.
“As for me, I’m a red liar. None of you recognized me.” Jay speaks in a tone - monotone like; narrative. “You didn’t recognize Jay. Minji didn’t recognize Jung-ho. Mi-sun didn’t recognize Jong-seok and Jang-Mi never recognized Ju-ho…”
Jung-ho.
Jong-seok.
Ju-ho.
Jay.
“Jay…?” your intentions aren’t to moan, but you cannot help it. Jay is pressing the vibrator with such pressure that even now in this unknown situation, you cannot help but want to cum hard.
Just as you were about to cum, you cry out once more when the vibrator cuts off. You’re trembling, your wrist burning as the friction of the robe rubs against them.
“My name’s not Jay, Y/N. You know my name.”
Your eyes widen slowly. “Stop.” you plead with Jay. “It isn’t funny anymore…”
“I never told you a joke.” Jay scoffs. “Look at me and tell me you don’t remember who I am, Y/N.”
You swallow the lump in your throat as goosebumps begin to erupt onto your skin. Your heart is beating outside your chest and you wished Jay would flip the switch and return to the boyfriend you know and love.
“Look. At. Me.” Jay grits out each word with such venom, his cheerful personality long gone. “It’s been a decade since High School but have I truly changed that much, Y/N?”
You remain silent, your eyes remain on the man in front of you.
“I had to change schools because of what your friends said I did.” Jay murmurs, and as the words hit your ears your eyes begin to widen.
Mi-sun lifts her hand up and hums, tilting her head. “I think I want pink.” she says. “But a soft pink, not a hot one.”
Jang-Mi snorts.
Mi-sun raises a brow at Jang-Mi, but she doesn’t respond.
“Like this one?” Minji asks after rummaging through her tote of beauty items. She holds up a bright pink color - taffy.
Mi-sun nods with excitement.
You sit and listen to the exchange, head in Jang-Mi’s lap.
You were all in Mi-sun’s room, a room that was overly pink, but neither of the girls in the friend group complained. Her walls were white, but her bed - a large queen size that sat in the middle of her room - had a bubblegum pink comforter set with matching pillows. While her floors were hardwood, the rugs inside of her room were round and flamingo colored.
“So,” Jang-Mi starts. “What is this year's dare?”
You sighed deeply, ready to hear just what the hell your friends had planned for you this year.
Every year your group of friends would dare one another to do something - anything - at the start of the school year. It was a tradition, after all, spawning since primary school.
The year prior, Mi-sun had dared Minji to walk in the boys locker-room “accidentally” and shower just minutes before the boys were done with their practice. Minji was the daredevil of the group and accepted it without a problem - even if she did have a months worth of detention and had several boys profess their “undying love” for her.
While Minji’s dare were dare-devil like, Jang-Mi’s were spontaneous. Her dare the year prior was to smoke bomb the teacher lounge - that earned her two months of detention (thanks to her uncle being the principal).
“You,” Minji points to you. “And you,” she then points to Mi-sun. “Need to step it up. Jang-Mi and I always do the impulsive dares!”
You lick your lips. “My dare last year was pretty impulsive.”
It wasn’t. The dare you agreed upon was to egg the principal's car - you weren’t caught and maybe that’s what they were upset about. Your poor principal was going through it and his niece never appeared to care much.
Jang-Mi rolls her eyes and snickers. “Egging a car is pretty impulsive.” she says with a hint of sarcasm.
“Okay, let’s start then.” Minji claps her hands together. “Jang-Mi, I dare you…” Minji hums, her mind wandering as to what she would possibly say. “It’s like we’ve done everything already.”
“We have.” Jang-mi looks down at you. “This year is about you and Mi-sun.”
Mi-sun finishes painting her right hand and she raises a brow. “No fair.”
“Too bad.” Jang-Mi smirks.
“I agree.” Minji smiles wide. “We have to think of something good. So we’ll start tomorrow.”
Your stomach churns at the thought of them coming up with something impulsive - it was your last year of highschool after all.
Mi-sun rolls her eyes. “I’m not scared.” she snaps.
“I’m scared.” Mi-sun hisses, hands trembling with wide eyes.
“Pussy.” Jang-Mi giggles.
There was a few minutes before class started and it was as if Jang-Mi and Minji were ready to start the day off with a bang.
“It’s not like it’s that difficult.” Minji hisses. “Just go ahead and kiss him.”
“You dared her to kiss a professor.” you deadpan - but you’re glad this dare wasn’t yours. Minji and Jang-mi had claimed they hadn't come up with anything yet.
The yet scares you.
Said professor walks by - Professor Song. He’s tall, dark brown hair with matching eyes. He’s young, only a few years older than those he is teaching and an obvious eye-candy for the female students. He nods his head and waves at a few students as he strolls pass and Jang-Mi proceeds to push Mi-sun forward.
You gulp. This dare was a risky one. It was just a kiss yes, but this was a kiss between someone that had authority. Professor Song could lose his job - and teaching career - if this went the wrong way.
Professor Song hisses at the impact of Mi-sun knocking into him. His glasses are knocked off of his face and it drops onto the ground beside him. He lowers himself to grab it and Mi-sun bites her lip before doing the dare.
Mi-sun presses her lips against Professor Song’s. It was a quick peck, but it stuns the man nonetheless. He stumbles back a bit and before he could speak, Mi-sun is running down the hall to her classroom with Jang-Mi, Minji and you following close behind. Jang-Mi and Minji are laughing while you’re too bewildered to speak.
“That. Was. So. Humiliating!” Mi-sun hisses as she reaches the classroom. Class was about to start and her face was as red as a tomato. “I swear if I’m expelled-”
“Stop being so dramatic.” Minji shrugs it off. She reaches her desk - besides Mi-sun, and sits.
“Uncle knows of our yearly dares.” Jang-mi assures. “He should be expecting this by now.”
You take your seat behind Jang-mi.
“Now all that is left is our little Y/N.” Jang-Mi turns and offers a wide grin. “Aren’t you excited?”
No, but you wouldn’t cower before them.
“Whatever.” you grunt.
Your teacher comes strutting in. He’s a short older man with a large gut - a beer gut you’re certain. His arms are as skinny as his legs and his face is similar to a skeleton. You never even see the man eat, but he always had a water bottle in his hands that smells of vodka when he opens it.
“Kim Mi-sun.” he calls as he slams down a black briefcase. “Office.” he says without looking at the body of students. He takes a seat at his desk and Mi-sun groans with annoyance.
“That was fast.” Minji giggles quietly. “It hasn’t even been ten minutes.”
“Fuck off.” Mi-sun hisses. She gathers her things and makes her way out of the classroom just as more students are scurrying inside.
“Hey, Y/N.”
Your eyes lift to see the source of the greeting and you offer a small - very small and uninterested - smile to the boy seated a few desks in front of you.
Jang-Mi watches the exchange and she turns her head to Minji. She wiggles her eyebrows and tilts her head to the boy.
“Who’s that?” she mouths.
Jang-mi shrugs. “Not sure.” she mouths back. “Y’N’s dare.”
Minji furrows a brow, eyes shining with realization. She erupts in a fit of giggles that causes Jang-Mi to do the same.
Your fingers twirl a piece of your hair as your eyes watch him a few seats away from you. Your ears catch the whispered conversation of your friends besides you.
"When are you going to say something?" asks Mi-sun with a roll of her eyes. "The dare was a week ago."
Your gum pops dramatically after Mi-sun's question. You manage to roll your own eyes, but you don't take them off of him - Jung Hoseok. His cheeks are childishly chubby, he was tall, but thin - even for a senior in high school. He wore braces and you couldn't imagine him without them - they have been implanted in his teeth for years now.
You were no fool to Jung Hoseok's crush on you. You noticed the side eyes he'd give you in class. When your eyes met his, his eyes would blink away, and his cheeks would turn to a deep crimson. It was cute, you thought, pathetically so. As did your friends. They would laugh each time they saw Hoseok looking at you, claiming that he was nothing but a lost, kicked puppy. You'd laugh along with them even if you did see the embarrassed look on his face.
Your friends enjoyed teasing Hoseok so much that they thought it would be an amazing idea for you - his crush - to go along with the teasing. "Ask him out. Lead him on." suggested Mi-sun. "Then break his sad, pathetic heart." laughs Jang-Mi.
You thought about their request. You never spoke to Hoseok before and never had the reason or desire to. What you knew of Hoseok was that he was smart, not straight A smart like most, but he passed his classes. He wasn't popular when it came to friend groups and opted to stay to himself or a small set of friends.
"Oh my..." Minji hums, she leans back into her chair and crosses her arms. She just cut her long, black locs to a sharp bob. The new appearance makes her much more intimidating. "...you like him." she declares.
"I do not." your eyes glance to Minji hurriedly. "I just...he's a loser."
Mi-sun giggles and agrees.
"I don't want to be associated with a loser." you reach into your uniform skirt pocket and remove a small tube of lipgloss. You proceed to coat your lips slowly with the glossy substance, eyes on Hoseok just in time for his eyes to meet yours. His eyes glance down to your lips - plump and coated - and his cheeks flush.
Minji cackles, followed by Mi-sun and Jang-Mi. Hoseok's head snaps away and you know he's mentally cursing at himself.
"Look at him." Minji scoffs with a shake of her head, appearing to have pity for Hoseok. "He is a loser."
"Much the more reason to play with him." Jang-Mi singsongs. She was always the much more mischievous type in the friendship. She enjoyed playing tricks and pranks, no matter how cruel they were. Min-sun would be considered the "ditzy" one of the group, but she was just as mischievous as Jang-Mi, maybe even more.
You can feel their eyes on you now. Min-sun bats her eyelashes, cat-like eyes stabbing holes into you. Jang-Mi tilts her head impatiently awaiting your response while Minji does nothing but glare.
"If you don't, I will." Jang-Mi smirks, and now you're shaking your head. Hoseok wasn't an asshole like the rest of the boys at this school. He didn't deserve whatever cruel prank Jang-Mi would surely throw his way.
"I'll do it." you roll your eyes and laugh. You proceed to bite your lip. "I'm sure it'll be fun."
Fun it was. You started the following day, but you remained subtle. It would cause alarms to go off in Hoseok's mind if you casually strolled up to him and became flirtatious. You didn't want to scare him off - especially if Jang-Mi's words of Hoseok being a virgin rang true. You had a plan, instead. Hoseok and you shared multiple classes and in each one, you would offer him a small smile. Your smile soon became a short wave that he would return - after looking around to ensure you were indeed waving at him and not someone else.
Minji had grown bored of the slow burn happening before her. When you had strolled into class and ready to sit at your desk, she had slammed her foot against your chair and shook her head. She jerks her head to the side, and you follow her gaze - a desk directly next to Hoseok remains empty.
You took a deep breath and nodded.
You drop your bag at your new desk, startling the box next to you. His eyes slowly reached to who was beside him. His eyes catch your legs, smooth and seemingly soft. He drags them forward slowly until they notice your eyes. He freezes, heart thumping outside his chest.
"Is this seat taken?" you ask lowly, a smirk forming on your glossy lips.
Hoseok shakes his head but remains quiet. His palms grow sweaty, and he's worried suddenly if he remembered to wear deodorant.
You sit beside him, eyes glancing to Minji who raises a brow at you, nodding her head. You weren't going to be able to go back to your regular seat until you did something to get closer to Hoseok.
Class starts and you go without speaking with Hoseok, even if you do notice his eyes glancing your way every few minutes. However, you understood your part in this assignment. You'd accidentally - purposely - would brush your knee on his and apologize with a cute smile. You'd proceed to lean closer towards him so your side would briefly touch his.
Hoseok's mind was going crazy the following weeks. You continued to sit beside him day by day. Your touching now was much less subtle and he's unsure of what to take of it. You never appeared to be interested in him before. He was no idiot - he was certain you caught on to his crush on you. Maybe that's why - you pitied him and his pathetic crush.
"H-huh?" Hoseok blinks a few times and shakes his head. His cheeks are tinted red with further embarrassment.
"I said," you grasp your bag and lean forward. The bell rang and it was time for lunch, but Hoseok was far too in his thoughts to notice. "do you want to come home with me?"
Your breast peaked through the uniform top and Hoseok nearly fainted at your words. He's tongue tied and soon you're cackling.
"To study for the test, silly." you're laughing a melodic laugh that calms Hoseok's nerves. "I've seen your grades on the quizzes we had. You're so smart, Hoseok."
You think he's smart, Hosoek gulps.
"I wish I could be as smart as you." you sigh almost dramatically.
"Y-you are....smart." Hoseok mentally shoots himself at the lame compliment.
"Thank you." you tilt your head. "So, what do you say?"
Hoseok nods his head hesitantly. He understands that he'd want nothing more than to have you close to him. But, he couldn't be as desperate - he didn't want to scare you off. "I can come study." he murmurs lowly.
You clap your hands together gleefully. "Thank you!"
Hoseok allows his heart shaped lips to smile at you. You looked beautiful when you were cheerful.
"We can walk home after school, okay?' you're walking backwards waiting for his response.
"Okay." Hoseok nods, heart beating outside his chest and goosebumps erupting the skin of his arm.
That was only the beginning of what happened with Hoseok - not Jay.
“Hoseok…?” you murmur, your eyes scanning his face while your mind compares it to the younger version of the man. Shame and humiliation runs through you - how could you not remember the boy; now a man?
“Ah, that’s what it took for you to remember me?” Hoseok begins to laugh, his beautiful teeth shining in front of you. “Mi-sun didn’t remember me either but she loved Jong-seok as the father of her daughter.” Hoseok shakes his head with a chuckle.
Your blood runs cold at Hoseok’s words.
“Years ago…I remember her stating that I would never be someone she’d ever love…fuck…yet that child is mine and I don’t feel any remorse for leaving her alone and struggling.” Hoseok chuckles once more. “Ju-ho was the reason Jang-Mi had to find a new job hours away. Especially when it was revealed she was stealing from the company…”
“Hoseok, please-”
“Of course it was just a rumor but something like that doesn’t go lightly, Y/N. Her career was over and the only job willing to hire her after that…” Hoseok shrugs. “...and, Jung-ho was the one who introduced Mini to her cheating husband. He never took her seriously like she never took anything in others' lives seriously. What goes around comes around, I suppose.”
Hoseok wasn’t Jay - Jay was an act. Hoseok was cold; calculated. He strived off of revenge and spite; and the red robe he wore told you just how calculated the man truly was.
“Hoseok…”
You’re unsure what you want to tell him. You never thought you’d see Hoseok again - much less like this.
Hoseok tilts his head. “I didn’t tell them who I was, you know”? he admits. “I just left when my time was done.”
“Hoseok.”
“You are different, Y/N. You always were.” Hoseok presses the vibrator button and allows the pleasure to come back. “You felt remorse for what you’ve done. You admitted that I never assaulted you like your friends had said…but by then it was too late.”
Hoseok presses the buttons on the vibrator three more times and your back arches at the newfound pressure.
“I had to change schools and only because you spoke up I wasn’t put on any registry.” Hoseok explains, his eyes fixed on how your pussy begins to leak with arousal. “Back then you pretended to like me. You allowed me to take you on dates and admit things I would never had the courage to if you never made me comfortable.”
“Please…” you pleaded, unable to talk more than one word at a time. “It’s too…much.”
“You can take it.” Hoseok grumbles, voice raspy. “You allowed me to hold your hand. You kissed me back. You…you liked it, Y/N. Only when you were caught did you back down.”
Hoseok knows you’re cumming. Your eyes roll to the back of your head and your breath hitches - and he enjoys every moment of it.
“To cover up the fact that you liked it, you pushed me away, remember?” Hoseok slams a hand against your cheek to regain your attention.
 You yelp aloud, a wave of pleasure going through you. “Y-Yes!”
“You were so humiliated…frightened at what your friends would think.” Hoseok slaps you again, positive that you like what he’s doing to  you. “But I knew you adored being around me, Y/N.I was the only person you didn’t have to pretend with.”
Hoseok removes the vibrator just as you cum, you arousal coating the bed sheets. The vibrating sound echoes through the room, mixed with your low sobs.
“I thought about what punishment you all deserved but I could never bring myself to punish you.” Hoseok speaks after a moment. He allows you to catch your breath. “Even when I met you a year ago, Y/N, it felt like it did when we were in High School.”
You flinch when Hoseok touches your face.
“You’re flinching as if I’d ever hurt you.” Hoseok shakes his head. “I got you out of your own debt, remember? I helped uplift you while your friends were going through their own karma. I did.” Hoseok speaks, each word his voice raises higher and higher. “Right?”
“Hoseok please-”
“Right?!”
You flinch once more at the shout. “Yes.” you respond meekly. “I-I didn’t mean to go that far with you.”
“I know, baby.” Hoseok discards the vibrator and places both hands onto your face. “I know,” he repeats. “That’s why I chose to forgive you and give you another chance. Now you and I could truly be together.”
Hoseok frightened you - deep  down you tell yourself that Jay was in there somewhere. A year of loving one another, there was never any slip up. Jay cared for you. He loved you unconditionally and put you before anything.
“Don’t look at me with those eyes, Y/N.” Hoseok sighs. “You’re not scared of me. You’re scared of the situation. I would never hurt you or I would have already.”
That doesn’t make your heart beat slow.
“You and I could be together again truthfully. We can continue to love one another.” Hoseok kisses along your face, the same feathery kisses that Jay would give you. “No Mi-sun, no Jang-Mi, no Minji. Just you and I.” he speaks again, his lips pecking yours. “Right?”
Jay always loved you, but this was Hoseok and at the moment, Hoseok terrified you to the core. You were nothing without Jay and you allowed Jay to fully take care of you like he insisted.
“Yes.” you nod, defeated and unsure of what to do. Your bound wrist hurt as did your ankles.
“I love you, baby.” Hoseok pecks your lips once more, smiling into it.
You were sure Jay loved you, wherever inside Hoseok he was residing - and that fact was the only thing keeping you from crying further.

Hii!! 😊Could you write one where y/n and taehyung are in a relationship, and y/n’s on her period and accidentally stains tae’s sheets, she then is very embarrassed and sorry and cries and taehyung’s there to tell that it’s okay lol.
Hello!!
aww this is incredibly soft, thank you anon for the request!!
word count- 1.1k
warnings- mention of blood but periods shouldn't be gross!!!
Tumblr media
Enjoy!
You got home late from work, putting the key into the door and entering the quiet apartment. You had expected Taehyung to be asleep on the couch, as he usually attempts to stay up and wait for you, ultimately giving into sleeping.
When you had not seen him there, you gently called out his name, putting your coat on the hook and walking into the bedroom to see him under the covers, resting. poor baby, hes probably exhausted from practice today.
Tip-toeing into the room, you grab pajamas and head into the bathroom to change. You could have sworn you started your period as you took the bus home, cramps having you squeeze your hands into fists. You were surprised to see you hadn't. sighing, you figured your body is doing its irregular period thing, it likes to play tricks on you and make you panic when theres no reason to.
you take an Advil and decided to put on a thin pantyliner just in case, though you doubted it.
once out of the bathroom, the mattress dipped as you placed your weight onto the bed, sitting besides the sleeping boy. He mumbled and shifted over as you got under the covers before wrapping an arm around you and bringing you closer to him.
He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, "I love you" he mumbled, still half asleep. You broke out into a wide grin, kissing against his neck. "I love you too, im sorry for waking you. Go back to sleep" you whispered, beginning to hear the sound of his light snores, alerting you that he indeed had fallen back into slumber. It wasnt too long after that you, yourself, knocked out.
-
Taehyung had been awoken to the sound of his alarm clock going off at 5am, he groaned and removed himself from you, reaching to shut his phone off. The room was still dark, only noise audible was the fan blowing cold air from the corner of the room. He took a moment to wake up before pulling the sheets back and stepping into the bathroom to shower.
When he flicked the lights on, his eyes drew down to his sweatpants which appeared to have what looked to be blood on them. He panicked, checking over himself to make sure he had not gotten hurt somehow. Once he confirmed it wasnt him, he walked back into the bedroom and turned the bedside lamp on, he nodded to himself once the explanation was clear.
He pulled the covers back, exposing the blood stain which you had been laying in. "ohh" he pouted and contemplated on how to approach this, not wanting to make you feel ashamed.
"baby..." he whispered, lightly tapping your arm. you mumbled something before falling back asleep, making him laugh. He shook you again, this time making you get up.
"what baby?" you groan, wiping your eyes and turning to look at him.
He didnt say anything yet, looking unsure.
"what?" you asked more seriously as you sat up.
he softly smiled, alerting you to the sheets below you, "look"
you quietly gasp. "what is this?"
he looks back at you before brushing his hand over your shoulder.
"I think your period started, baby" he sat on the bed and looked at you as he rubbed your back. "are you ok? does your stomach hurt?"
once you realized what had occurred, you looked down between your legs to see blood soaked pj shorts. Instantly, you were mortified.
your hands flew to cover your face, shaking your head. "oh my god...."
he gently stood, and thats when you saw it was on his pants too.
"tae!" you whined and felt tears begin to brew.
"its okay angel" he soothed, watching you begin to freak out.
"no its not! we just washed the sheets yesterday, and I-"
you wiped your eyes, "this is so embarrassing im so fucking sorry, go shower ill clean it I promise"
he came over and grabbed your hand, kissing your head. "stop apologizing, im not mad sweetheart, it happens"
"no but this is so gross"
he shook his head and walked over to the other side of the bed, helping you up. "its okay, you cant help it" he whispered as his arms wrapped around your waist gently, swaying you.
you sighed as you pulled away, watching him begin to strip the sheets off, "noo, you are gonna be late!" you whine, making him laugh. "I think they will be ok if I come in a few minuets after"
you are quick to push him away, but he spins you around and cups your face. "you are making a big deal out of something that doesnt need to be a big deal" he whispered, pressing a light kiss to your lips. "just wait here, Ill set up a bath and get you some medicine. do you want tea?" he asked, looking back at you as he gathered the sheets and piled them by the door. You were in shock at his attentiveness, feeling shy.
"yeah?" he asked
"yeah....tea would be nice" you whisper as he leads you to the bathroom and started to fill the tub with water. "just relax ok?" he kissed your hand.
you nodded as he left, allowing you to step into the warm tub, instantly feeling better as Taehyung tended to the laundry, putting new sheets on the bed.
he came back a few minuets later with a cup of tea and fruit, putting it on the little stool he built for you because you often liked to have your laptop to watch tv as you took a bath.
"thank you" you mumble, "im sorry again" you look at him as he kneels on the side on the bath, his hand running through your semi dry hair. "shh, i promise, its ok" he smiled and handed you Tylenol.
you took a few sips of tea as he sat patiently. "do you want me home today, sweetheart?" he asked lovingly
"no no I will be ok, thank you though"
"you sure?" he asked, knowing how your cramps can be. He will never forget the time he came home and found you crying on the floor in the kitchen because the pain was so unbearable.
you looked at him, pressing your lips together in thought.
"well.....i dont want you to get in trouble with work." you spoke
he giggled, "I think they wont mind, besides, I rather spend a day with my girl then learning choreography for 6 hours"
you smiled and nodded, "ok then....can you stay?" you ask timidly
"of course" he kissed your head. "give me a few minuets and ill join you" he smiled and stood up to leave for a moment.
You hummed contently, you don't know what you must have done in a past life to deserve this, or him, but damnit you were one lucky girl.

“If you steal one more of my sweet potato fries (Y/N), I swear I’m gonna--.”
You pop the orange-colored french fry into your mouth, grinning at Taerae smugly. “You’re gonna what?”
Eyes narrowed at you through dorky, wire-framed glasses, your best friend pouts annoyedly. “One day you’ll fear my wrath.”
“Wouldn’t count on it,” you respond with a giggle. Despite his angry demeanor, Taerae turns his lunch tray so that the sweet potato fries are now facing you-- giving you easier access to one of your favorite snacks.
“You could just go back up and get your own, you know,” he persists with his performance even as he squeezes more ketchup onto his tray for you to dip the fries in. “What would you do without me?”
“Sarcastic answer: finally achieve a peaceful existence,” you joke, popping another fry into your mouth. “Serious answer... I’d be lost without you.”
You watch as Taerae’s glasses fog up a bit; the way they always did when he received a compliment or you were being a bit too sincere with him. He takes them off quickly, clearing his throat as he wipes the lenses with the hem of his polo shirt.
A pile of books slam down onto your lunch table as your friend Dohyun plops onto the bench beside you. “(Y/N)! Just the person I wanted to talk to.”
“Do you ever talk to anyone else?” You quip, earning a glare from the skinny boy.
“I talk to Taerae hyung, too,” he mumbles. You glance at your best friend, noticing how quiet he’s gotten all of a sudden. “And I like him better than you anyway.”
You shrug. “That makes two of us.”
“What I was going to ask you is,” Dohyun starts; pulling out his lunchbox from his backpack and opening it up. “Has Ryan asked you to prom yet?”
Taerae audibly gulps from across the table. You frown at him, wondering why he’s acting so weird.
“No,” you answer softly. “He hasn’t. And I definitely don’t think he’s going to anymore.”
“I don’t know what you saw in Ryan anyway,” Dohyun says, shaking his head disapprovingly. “He only wanted one thing from you.”
Taerae chokes on his apple juice suddenly and you take the carton from his hand-- placing it back on the table pointedly as he coughs into his elbow.
“That’s enough, Dohyun,” you scold. “And for the record, I’m as pure as the day you met me.”
“Don’t flatter yourself,” the younger boy laughs. “So… Are you gonna go to prom alone, or?”
“I don’t know,” you sigh. “I already bought my outfit. I had it altered to fit perfectly, so I don’t really think I can return it at this point.”
“I’m sorry, (Y/N),” Taerae says finally. “I know you were really looking forward to going with Ryan. He’s gonna regret not asking you. But um...”
Your brow furrows as you wait for Taerae to continue his sentence. He’s looking at you kind of funny now-- eyes wide and anxious.
“Well, if you already have an outfit and stuff, I was thinking that... Um...” You watch curiously as he bends over to his side and begins shuffling through his backpack. “Fuck, where is it?”
“Hey, (Y/N)!” Someone suddenly calls behind you. Your head whips around to find Ryan walking towards your lunch table, his signature charming smirk on his lips. He’s carrying a duffel bag over his shoulder for soccer practice as he lands in front of you.
“Hi Ryan,” you greet sweetly, brain turning to mush. You’d first met the star of the soccer team officially when your Math teacher assigned you to tutor him a few months ago. He’d been in serious jeopardy of being kicked off the team for his failing grades, but with an hour of tutoring every other day, you’d helped him climb back up to a solid C+. The afternoon he received his first unit test grade since you’d started tutoring him, he had been thrilled to see B- circled in red at the top of the page...
So thrilled, in fact, that he’d kissed you at your back corner table in the library.
And he’d kept kissing you. For the rest of that tutoring session... And then the one after that... And the one after that... And the one after that until your meetings had become more of a hybrid tutoring-and-make-out session.
That had been the extent of your “relationship” though. He was always busy with soccer and his meathead friends and ogling popular girls at the library tables next to you when your faces weren’t connected.
But he was the first boy to ever pay attention to you like this-- and he was so handsome to boot. The attention and the fantasy muddied every intelligent and rational thought in your brain. Even if you were being used, you weren’t really ready for it to stop.
One day as you were approaching the library, you stopped in your tracks as you heard Ryan’s voice around the corner. He was talking to one of his jock friends and you held your breath as you attempted to hear their conversation.
“All of the cheerleaders already have dates, dude,” Ryan’s friend relays. “Why did you wait so long?”
Ryan was silent for a moment before responding, “Even Steph?”
“Even Steph,” his friend confirmed. “Injun asked her yesterday.”
“Damnit.”
“Well, you’ve gotta go with somebody,” his friend urged. “Tyler’s parents are letting us use their lake house for the after party, so... Who’re you gonna ask!?”
“I’ll... I’ll find somebody,” Ryan responded and you heard the door to the library begin to squeak open.
“Hopefully somebody that’s gonna put out,” his friend joked and Ryan laughed along.
It was from that moment that you’d gotten it in your head that there was a chance that Ryan might ask you to prom. You’d gone shopping with your mom to pick out the perfect outfit, booked an appointment to get your hair styled for the occasion, and called a florist to purchase a boutonniere to pin on Ryan’s suit that matched your outfit.
As you’d doodled your name next to Ryan’s in your journal and decorated it with hearts one evening last week, your best friend Taerae laid on your bed-- legs dangling off the side as he strummed his guitar.
“(Y/N)...” He sang suddenly in an improvised melody. “Put down your pen... It’s getting annoying... So please tell me when...”
You turned around and glared at him, but he continued.
“You’ll stop your obsession... With that asshole named Ryan... He hasn’t even asked you to prom yet, what if he doesn’t ask you, your heart is gonna break and I’m gonna have to pick up the pieces and glue them all together again and--.”
“None of that rhymed.”
“Lyrics don’t have to rhyme for them to hold meaning,” Taerae responded, arms flopping onto the bed in a T-position dramatically. “I’m worried about you. I think this guy might be taking advantage of you.”
“At least someone wants to,” you joked, but the levity didn’t quite reach your voice. Taerae sat up abruptly; eyes fixing on you for a long moment. Finally, he sighed and pulled his guitar strap over his head-- placing the instrument beside him.
“A lot of people want to take advantage of you, (Y/N).”
Your jaw dropped as you watched Taerae realize what he just said. He’d already begun shaking his head and waving his arms about profusely by the time a smile crept onto your face.
“NOT WHAT I MEANT!” He shouted frantically and the sheer panic on his face was enough to make you burst out laughing. At the sound of your laughter, Taerae couldn’t help but grin and the appearance of his deep dimples was admittedly comforting to you. “You already knew that’s not what I meant but... I’m just trying to tell you he’s not the only guy that likes you.”
Your brow furrowed curiously. “Who else likes me?”
“Oh, uh,” Taerae stuttered nervously, averting your gaze. “Lots of guys. Other guys. Girls, too, probably. And nonbinary folk, I’m sure.”
You nodded, unconvinced. “Well all of those other people are gonna have to fight Ryan for my attention, I guess.”
Taerae gulped. “Right.”
“Now shut up, loser,” you said, spinning back around in your desk chair. “I’m trying to name me and Ryan’s fourth child.”
Now as Ryan stands in front of you, he glances at your only two friends that are also sitting at your lunch table. “Hey nerds.”
Taerae mumbles something under his breath but you aren’t paying him any attention.
“I’ll pick you up at 7, yeah?” Ryan asks suddenly, nodding at you.
Your lips part slightly in confusion. “What?”
“Tomorrow,” he responds brusquely. “Prom.”
“You--... We--... Us? Prom?” You know that gibberish is falling out of your mouth, but your ability to form a coherent sentence has flown out the window.
Ryan gives you an impatient smile. Of course he has every right to be impatient, you think. I can’t even speak well enough to answer his question. “Yeah. Text me your address.”
“We were actually gonna take photos at (Y/N)’s house beforehand,” Dohyun interjects.
Ryan frowns. “Oh. Yeah, okay. I can do that.”
“Really? That’s so nice of you; you don’t have to if you don’t want to!” You say quickly, grinning up at the tall boy.
“Nah, that’s cool. I’ll be there. See you then,” Ryan says with a smile before taking off towards the other end of the cafeteria. His smile is enough to burst your heart-- but lucky for you (and your poor friends), you’re able to muster up enough strength to keep living.
Instead, you merely scream; keeping your mouth closed to muffle the sound. When you finally return to the world around you, you suddenly notice how silent your friends are.
“What?” You ask, frowning at Dohyun. “Why aren’t you guys excited?”
You turn to Taerae, who is holding a large piece of folded up paper in his hands. “What’s that?”
Snatching it from his hands, Taerae immediately lunges across the table in a panic to grab it back from you. Dohyun also swoops in to steal the paper, but both of their efforts are in vain as you swivel around to face the opposite direction and open what appears to be a poster.
🌸🌺🌸 Will you go to prom with me? 🌸🌺🌸
“OH MY GOD!” You squeal, whipping back around to face your best friend. He rips the poster from your hands and begins folding it back up, cheeks turning red. “You’re asking someone to prom!? WHO!?”
“Oh thank god: you’re an idiot,” Dohyun mumbles, sinking back into his seat.
Your brow furrows confusedly. “Huh?”
“Nothing,” Taerae answers quickly. “No one said anything.”
“Taerae, if you don’t tell me who you’re asking to prom right now, I swear I’m gonna--.”
“MOLLY!” He shouts suddenly, eyes wide as he stares over your shoulder. You turn around to follow his gaze, spotting Taerae’s lab partner, Molly, a few tables behind you. She smiles when she hears Taerae call her name, getting up from her seat and walking over to your table.
“Hi Taerae,” she greets cheerfully, curly short hair bouncing with every step. The very smart, but sometimes obnoxious girl is blinking at your best friend nervously... Holy shit. Had Molly had a crush on Taerae this whole time and you hadn’t noticed?
More importantly... Had Taerae had a crush on her?
“Hi Molly, um... I was wondering,” he starts; his delivery of this promposal a little unprepared. That’s weird, you think. If Taerae was gonna ask someone out, I’m sure he would’ve rehearsed it in the mirror until he lost his voice…
“Dude,” Dohyun interrupts suddenly, eyes wide as he looks at Taerae.
Taerae just ignores him, clearing his throat and starting again; unfolding his poster onto the table once more. “I was wondering, actually, if you’d maybe like to possibly-- and no pressure or anything, maybe someone’s already asked you, but...”
“OH MY GOD! Of course I’ll go to prom with you,” Molly exclaims, throwing her arms around Taerae. You watch as he freezes, never one for accepting public affection from anyone he didn’t know well...
From anyone except you.
You frown at the bizarrely jealous thought. Taerae obviously liked this girl. Just last week, he’d been complaining about her chewing too loud in the computer lab, but maybe he was just trying to cover up his real feelings. Taerae deserved to be happy.
Any boy that would make a whole poster just to ask someone to prom deserved to be happy. You sigh as you study the poster in front of you. I wish Ryan had made me a poster...
As Taerae starts to fold it back up, you notice some surrounding doodles that you had been too distracted to see before. All around the border of the poster are what appear to be light pink Royal Azaleas.
Your favorite flower.
Had Taerae really used your favorite flower to decorate his promposal for someone else? How could he?
“Stop it!” You say out loud, earning a weird look from all three of the people surrounding you. You smile awkwardly, trying to laugh off your unintentional angry outburst at your own thoughts. “I mean... Stop being so cute you guys!”
Molly grins. “Text me where to meet you tomorrow! I can’t wait.”
Taerae nods quickly as Molly skips back to her own lunch table. As soon as she’s gone, he lets out a huge sigh and you hear the clamoring of his glasses as his head falls to the table.
“But this is amazing, Tae,” you say, staring at the top of Taerae’s head as his forehead rests on the surface of the lunch table. He lifts up for a second, folding his arms and laying his right cheek back down on top of them. His hair falls messily in his eyes, unkempt and fluffy as it usually is. But the sudden urge to brush it out of his face takes you by surprise. “I didn’t know you were going to ask Molly to prom today.”
Dohyun snorts from beside you, now totally engrossed in the game he’s playing on his phone:
“Neither did he.”
~~~
“(Y/N), come down here! We need to take pictures before you leave,” your mother calls from downstairs. “We’re gonna head outside so please hurry up and join us!”
You’re staring at yourself in the mirror, anxiety building. Nearly everything about your appearance for tonight is perfect-- your hair, your skin, your outfit; even your shoes. Your friends and family are in your front yard waiting for you.
But all you can think about is how Ryan hasn’t shown up yet.
You’d texted him your address. Told him what time to come over. And now he’s already thirty minutes late. You’d have to leave soon to get to the school on time.
“Where is he?” You whisper to yourself, grabbing your phone from your bed and checking your notifications again. Nothing.
“(Y/N), if you don’t get your ass down here right now!” The voice that’s calling you now is Taerae’s. His threat is angry enough that it makes you move-- opening the door to your room and walking to the top of the stairs.
Taerae is furiously typing on his phone as you make your way down the stairs, his back turned to you. He’s wearing a dark blue suit-- slim-fitting and tailored to him perfectly. When you reach the second to last step, you clear your throat.
Your best friend looks up at you now, eyes wide as he takes in your appearance. His hair is pushed back, still fluffy but out of his face. You’re surprised to find yourself thinking that he looks very handsome. You blink away the thought as you continue to study Taerae-- eventually realizing that something is missing.
“No glasses?” You ask, waiting for him to respond. When he doesn’t, you prompt him again. “Taerae?”
“Oh, uh,” he begins to reply finally, shaking his head as if to clear his mind. “Yeah, just for tonight. My mom... thought it would look nice.”
“Your mom is right,” you say, smiling softly at him. “She usually is though.”
“You’re perfect,” Taerae says suddenly; eyebrows shooting up when he realizes what he just said. “I mean, you look perfectly ready to go and take pictures! And then go to prom. And stuff. You know? Like, you look perfect. Well--... You--... Um--...”
He’s rambling now and you don’t blame him. Your whole lives, you and Taerae had maintained a friendship without most pleasantries a normal friendship might have. Your affection towards each other usually came in the form of play-fighting, insults, sharing sweet potato fries at lunch, and other subtle acts of service. Only when one of you was having a particularly hard day would the other offer a hug or hand to hold or words of affirmation. You and Taerae were so close that normal affection usually seemed pretty arbitrary.
So this compliment from Taerae, even if it was unintentional is... different.
You swallow hard, averting your best friend’s gaze. “So do you.”
Brushing past him, you open the front door and step out onto your porch-- Taerae following behind you after a moment. You check your phone again for any texts from Ryan.
“He’s a prick, (Y/N),” Taerae says softly, as you continue to stare at your phone screen-- willing your eyes not to water. “Don’t let him ruin this for you. This was all your idea. You wanted to go to prom. You wanted to take pictures beforehand. Why are you letting this guy totally fuck up your night?”
Your eyes meet Taerae’s. He’s right and you know it. Ryan couldn’t care less about you and it was evident in the way he’d asked you (or rather, told you that you were going with him) to prom-- and the way he hadn’t shown up on time to your house. In fact, the whole day you’d been consumed by two feelings: the first being obsession over whether or not Ryan would like your outfit, your hair, your parents, your house...
The second being that deep down, in the pit of your stomach, you were filled with regret about your fixation these past couple of months on the soccer star. Even Taerae had made a nice poster for Molly. Not that he’d even bothered to tell you that he was asking her. And not that you cared what Taerae did or didn’t do for people he liked.
Right?
“Tae, I--.”
“Taerae!” A chipper voice calls from around the corner. Molly appears at the bottom of the porch steps, motioning for your best friend to come down. “Come take pictures! You too, (Y/N). Just because your prom date’s a bust, doesn’t mean you can steal mine!”
Your jaw drops slightly in shock. “I wasn’t--... That’s not--...”
“Chop, chop!” Molly says, walking back over to where all of your parents are standing-- Dohyun in the middle of them, talking their ears off.
Not wanting any more accusations being hurled at you on your own property, you give Taerae a quick shrug before following her out onto the lawn.
~
You’re sitting in the passenger seat of Ryan’s red sports car now as he parks in the school lot. He’d finally shown up two minutes before you were about to have to hop into Taerae’s car and ride in the backseat behind him and his date. Your mom, who was making no attempt to hide her displeasure, was able to snap a quick few photos of you before you left.
Ryan turns off the car, stuffing his keys in his right pocket before leaning back again into his seat. He’s staring at you and you’re not really sure how to respond. You reach for the door latch, but you feel his hand touch your left arm before you can open it.
You identify the look in his eyes right away-- he wants to kiss you. Come to think of it, you hadn’t kissed Ryan in over a week. You’d been busy with an essay and had to cancel your “tutoring sessions”. Usually, the idea would excite you. But tonight, it almost made your stomach turn.
A knock on your window startles you and you look over to find Taerae smiling at you-- more than a hint of annoyance in his eyes.
Ryan rolls down your window. “Dude, what are you--?”
“(Y/N) really wants to go to prom with you,” he replies, opening your door for you. You hop out immediately, grateful for the interference. “So you can save whatever you’re gonna do for later.”
You don’t look back at Ryan, walking as quickly as you can towards the front doors of the school. Eventually, Ryan, Taerae and Molly all catch up to you as you walk through the entranceway.
A beautiful balloon arch greets you as you enter the gym, fairy lights and vintage streamers lining every inch of the walls. It’s exactly as you’d imagined-- the prom of your dreams.
“JORDAN!” Ryan shouts suddenly from behind you, almost knocking you down as he runs to greet one of his stupid jock friends.
You start to fall, but a pair of hands are already on your shoulders to keep you upright. “Thanks,” you mumble as Taerae pushes you through the balloon arch and towards the open floor.
“Where do you wanna sit, Taerae?” Molly asks, smiling at him expectantly. “I’m sure (Y/N) is gonna go sit with Ryan.”
You glance back to where Ryan had run off to, finding him completely surrounded by his many popular friends. You turn back to Molly and Taerae, forcing yourself to nod.
“You should sit with us,” Taerae says, the pity in his eyes growing more embarrassing every minute. You aren’t going to ruin his night with Molly. You just couldn’t do that to your best friend.
Shaking your head, you try to smile reassuringly. “I’ll be fine.”
“(Y/N)...”
“You guys have fun! I’ll see you in a bit,” you call, wandering off to a table in the opposite corner. Once you take your seat, it’s as if you’ve been glued to it permanently.
You watch all of your peers rush to the dance floor, laugh together, embrace each other... Not once does Ryan ever come find you. But you know deep down that you sort of deserve it. How had you been so obsessed with one boy asking you to prom and ended up being the only person here having such a miserable time?
You should never have come. Or you should have come alone. Or with Taerae.
Taerae...
Your eyes rest on your best friend, who is sitting with Molly at their table. He’s leaning back comfortably in his chair; navy blue suit contrasting perfectly with his light olive skin. His smile is bright and pretty-- why the hell does he look so pretty tonight?
Is he having fun with Molly? Is he thinking about me?
Almost as if he’s heard your thought, Taerae’s eyes meet yours. The smile on his face instantly fades to an expression of concern and you hate it. You want him to smile at you like he was just smiling at Molly.
But why would he smile at you like that? He likes Molly.
Not you.
Your phone buzzes in your hand and you look at the screen to find a message from Taerae.
Are you okay??
You look back up at him, deciding to nod and give him a thumbs up-- hoping for that dimpled smile to return to his face. It doesn’t.
(Y/N), please just come over here You’re breaking my heart
Learning that you sitting alone in a corner is ruining Taerae’s prom experience is not what you needed to hear. Pressing your lips together awkwardly, you nod slowly at him; starting to stand up from your chair to go talk to him for a bit.
But you stop in your tracks when you watch Molly grab Taerae’s hand and pull him up out of his chair. She’s trying to tug him towards the dance floor-- his eyes widening in panic as they remain locked on you.
You wave him on, trying your best to smile at him. You feel your lip quiver and you hope he doesn’t notice from the other end of the gym. Taerae reluctantly stops resisting Molly and joins her on the dance floor after giving you another regretful look.
“Heyyyy (Y/N),” a voice slurs in your ear now, an arm wrapping around you from behind. You look up to find Ryan, smiling goofily back at you. He’s piss drunk, of course.
“Hi,” you say shortly, attempting to wiggle out of his hold but the alcohol hasn’t lessened his strength. “Can you let go, please?”
“Why would I do that?” He asks rhetorically, tequila coating his breath. “You’re my date.”
“Am I?” You spit, finally breaking free of his grip. “I couldn’t tell.”
He frowns. “What do you want? Do you want to dance or something? We can dance.”
“I want to go home,” you respond, glaring at him. “I don’t want to be here anymore.”
With that, you’re walking past Ryan and through the balloon arch out of the gym. It’s not until you’re standing in the hallway that you hear a set of footsteps following you.
You turn around to find Ryan standing behind you, a small silver flask in hand. “What are you doing?”
“Taking you home,” he answers, unscrewing the top off the flask and taking a sip. “You said you wanted to go home.”
“Are you kidding me?” You ask, eyes wide with shock. “You’re drunk. You’re not getting behind the wheel like this.”
He shrugs. “I’m really good at it! I do it all the time.”
“Holy shit,” you whisper, shaking your head at him in awe. “You fucking suck, you know that?”
His brow furrows in confusion. “What? What do you mean?”
“I mean,” you start, jaw setting in anger. “You’ve ignored me all night. You didn’t show up at my house on time to take pictures. You tried to skip prom to makeout with me in your car. Not to mention, you didn’t even ask me to prom. You told me yesterday that you would pick me up tonight. And now you want to drive me home and you can’t even stand up straight!?
Ryan stares at you for a long moment before the corner of his mouth turns up in a smirk. “Are you playing hard to get?”
You sigh exasperatedly. “You already got me! I was literally eating out of your palm for two whole months. I can’t believe I let myself be so stupid... Now I never want to see you ever again!”
He frowns. “It’s because of that Taeri kid, isn’t it?”
“What? No, no--...” It’s at that moment that you look back into the gym, spotting your best friend dancing with his date. He looks so stupid; he might even be the worst dancer you’ve ever met. So why does the sight of him make your heart swell? “His name’s Taerae. And he’s my best friend. That apparently likes someone else and never told me.”
You turn back to Ryan to find him staring back at you, wide-eyed. “Damn,” he says, shaking his head. “You’re in love with your weird friend.”
“I am not!” You protest, crossing your arms in front of your chest. “And he’s not weird, he’s just... Okay, yeah he’s weird. But the good kind of weird.”
“Wow. Denial much?” He says, laughing.
Your brow furrows curiously. “Why are you so okay with this? Weren’t you just asking me if I was playing hard to get?”
“It’s cool. You guys would probably make a better match anyway,” he responds with a shrug. “Plus I already hooked up with Steph in the bathroom, so I’m all set for the night if I have to be.”
You sigh, shaking your head in awe of the absolute dickhead standing in front of you. Turning on your heel and walking towards the exit doors, you mumble, “Goodnight, Ryan.”
“Goodnight, (Y/N),” he calls after you, far too cheerily. “Tell him! Or that girl’s gonna snatch him right up. Have you seen the way she’s been looking at him all night?”
Yeah. I have.
~
It had been a decent night for Taerae. Molly had turned out to be a good enough prom date. They talked about their science project most of the night, but he hadn’t really known what else to say. Besides, he was far too distracted to have any sort of real conversation when he’d been keeping at least one eye on you the whole night.
The pain he felt watching you sit alone at an empty table-- scrolling through your phone, tears rolling down your cheek periodically when you thought no one was watching you.
But Taerae was watching you. How could he not be when the most beautiful person in the room was his best friend?
Of course the one time he’d taken his eyes off you, you’d gone missing.
So far, he’d checked the buffet table, the photobooth, the hallway... He’d even knocked on the bathroom door (and received a very annoyed response from whoever was inside). But you were nowhere to be found.
That’s when he spots Ryan. The star of the soccer team is sitting down at the end of the bathroom hallway, back leaned against a locker. Taerae runs up to him frantically, smelling the liquor on his breath from six feet away.
“Where’s (Y/N)!?” Taerae shouts, shaking Ryan’s shoulders when he doesn’t answer.
The tall boy groans. “How should I know?”
“Because (Y/N)’s your date?  Don’t you have any idea where your fucking date is!?”
“Jesus, chill out. This is why I said you were weird,” Ryan mumbles, slurring his words. “(Y/N) went home already.”
“What?” Taerae asks, mind racing. “Did you say something? Did you do something? Did you put your hands on--?”
“Probably, yeah. I don’t remember,” he responds, pointing up at Taerae. “But I thought (Y/N) was gonna tell you. I said to tell you so that that girl... doesn’t...”
Before he can finish his entirely incoherent sentence, Ryan has slumped over onto his side and fallen asleep.
“Tell me what?” Taerae asks; attempting to shake him awake. But it’s no use. “For christ’s sake...”
He turns around, about to run back towards the gym, but instead he comes face to face with his own prom date.
“Oh, Molly, I--,” he starts, but the girl in front of him cuts him off quickly.
“Go,” she says simply, the knowing smile on her face confirming to Taerae that she’s well aware of what’s going on. “Go get (Y/N).”
Taerae sighs. “I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. This is not cool of me at all.”
“No, it’s not,” Molly says with a laugh. “But I knew you liked (Y/N) the whole time. Once Dohyun opens his mouth, it’s hard to get him to shut it.”
Taerae smiles. “I always knew Dohyun would spill all my secrets one day.”
Molly shrugs. “It’s okay actually. Because tonight made me realize I kind of like Dohyun way more than you anyway. He’s more my type. He actually laughs at my chemistry jokes.”
“Oh, uh,” Taerae falters, eyebrows raising in shock. Dohyun? More her type? Taerae didn’t know that Dohyun was anyone’s type. Not that Taerae thought he was anyone’s type either. “Yeah, I guess I’m more of a biology guy.”
Molly hums. “Do you think you could put in a good word for me then?”
“Yeah,” he agrees, nodding absentmindedly. “Yeah, sure.”
“No hard feelings, then?” Molly asks, smiling up at him.
“No, none at all, I guess,” Taerae agrees-- though the entirely absurd thought of someone using him to get to Dohyun is still eating away at the back of his brain. “You’re okay if I leave now? Do you have a ride home?”
Molly nods happily. “I’ll see you on Monday! Don’t forget the Chapter 13 exam,” she says, walking back down the hallway towards the gym.
 “And tell me how it goes with (Y/N)!”
~
You’re face down on your bed, having flopped there in a puddle of tears as soon as you’d gotten home and changed into your pajamas. Your dad had picked you up and you’d driven home in uncomfortable silence apart from your quiet sniffling. You’re currently subsisting on an entirely separate plane of existence-- one with excessive tears and nothing else.
But a rattling at your window startles you, causing you to jump up to see what’s making the sound. You’re even more startled when you realize that the sound is actually that of Taerae fiddling with the latch on your window frame.
You run to the window, unlocking the latch and pushing it open. You whisper-shout at your idiotic best friend, “What the fuck are you doing!?”
“Remember when I used to do this when I lived next door? Before we moved?” He replies, completely out of breath and barely managing to hang onto the vines of ivy running down the side of your house.
“Taerae, you moved when we were ten years old! You weighed at least 30 kilograms less than you do now. Are you crazy!?” Grabbing onto his arms and pulling him through the window, he lands with an ungracious thud on your bedroom floor.
“Huh,” he says, panting to catch his breath as he lies flat out on his back on your beige carpet. “I used to be in really good shape then. Maybe I should start working out.”
You sit down next to him, your back leaning against the side of your bed. You look at the right leg of his suit pants, finding a wet spot on the knee. He must’ve fallen before he successfully climbed up to your window.
He looks just as pretty lying here like this as he had all night-- only now, he looks a bit more like the Taerae you were used to. His hair had fallen into his eyes a bit more and he must’ve switched out his contact lenses for his glasses on his way here. Maybe your best friend had always been this beautiful... Maybe you’d just never taken the time to notice before.
Your eyes widen suddenly. “Taerae, what are you doing here? Where’s Molly?”
He sighs annoyedly. “Ask Dohyun.”
“What?” You ask, brow furrowing in confusion. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Never mind,” he says, rolling his eyes. “It’s a long story.”
You frown. “Prom isn’t even over yet. Why did you leave?”
“Because Ryan told me you left,” he answers, finally sitting up to look at you. “I needed to make sure you were okay.”
“Well, you could’ve texted me,” you respond, looking around you for your phone.
Taerae points to your desk and you turn to see your phone sitting on the corner of it. “You weren’t answering.”
“Oh,” you say softly, eyes falling to your lap. “I guess I wasn’t.”
“Look at me,” Taerae requests suddenly and you reluctantly oblige. You know you must look absolutely insane. Hair out of place, eyes red and puffy and face blotchy from crying. He smiles at you sadly again, just like he had been the whole night. “I know you’re not okay. You can be upset. You know I won’t judge you.”
His words are all you need for the tears to start flowing again. In less than a second, Taerae’s arms have wrapped around you; holding you tightly in his embrace. It’s comforting, but at the same time it’s not. Not if he knew the real reason you’d been crying so much.
“He doesn’t deserve you, (Y/N),” he says, hand finding its way to the back of your head to pet your hair. “I’m so, so sorry that he treated you this way. He was never worth your time.”
You swallow back your tears, before pulling away from Taerae. Your arms still tangled up with his, you say finally, “I know.”
He stares at you for a moment before that sad smile returns. “You should know. I’m glad that you know. He doesn’t deserve any of your tears.”
“They’re not for him.” The truth falls from your lips before you can chicken out. You brace for the instant regret that should come with saying these words, but it doesn’t come. Instead, you feel the beginnings of relief.
Taerae’s head tilts to the side questioningly. “What--... What do you mean?”
Your bottom lip tucks between your teeth and you bite it hard to dissolve the anxiety in your chest. “I wasn’t crying over him.”
“Oh...” He says softly, utter confusion written all over his face. “So... You... Okay, no, I don’t get it.”
Of course Taerae didn’t get it. He had a wonderful night with the girl he likes. And the person who’d ruined it for him was you.
“Oh, I just remembered that Ryan said you wanted to tell me something?” Taerae says, brow furrowed curiously. “Or that he told you to tell me something? I dunno. He wasn’t making much sense right before he passed out.”
“I like someone else,” you blurt; the rush of adrenaline causing you to stand up and find something to busy yourself with before your nails dig holes into your palms. You walk over to your record player, turning it on and dropping the needle on whatever album is already loaded. When the sound flows from the speakers, you realize it’s an R&B album you picked up from a vintage thrift shop across town last week.
Taerae stands up, too-- recognizing the tension in your voice. “You do?”
You nod, avoiding his gaze. “Mmhmm.”
“That’s... That’s great, (Y/N),” he encourages, but there’s a hint of reluctance in his voice. “I just hope whoever it is, they’re much nicer to you.”
“He’s really nice to me, actually,” you confirm, finally turning around to look at Taerae again. You catch a glimpse of sadness in his eyes before he shifts his focus  down to the floor.
It’s now or never.
“Even when I steal his sweet potato fries.”
There’s a lag in his response. It takes a full ten seconds for Taerae to look up at you and, when he does, his eyes are wide and his lips are parted in shock. He’s so silent that you’re suddenly sure you’ve made a terrible mistake.
You clear your throat awkwardly. “I’m really sorry; maybe I shouldn’t’ve said that. I know you like Molly and I’m sorry you left prom early to check on me and I know I’ve been so annoying these past couple months and maybe it’s not fair of me to say any of this but when you made that poster for her and it had those Royal Azaleas on it-- that’s my favorite flower, how could you do that, you insensitive piece of--.”
For the last couple moments of your insane rambling, Taerae had been stepping towards you-- closing the gap between you and him quickly before finally cupping your face in his hands and connecting your lips in a particularly unskilled kiss.
When he pulls back, he’s blinking at you with innocent eyes; a blush heating his cheeks.
“Was that your first kiss?” You ask, a small smile turning up the corners of your lips. Taerae’s bottom lip has found its way between his teeth and he’s biting it hard to alleviate his nervous energy; hands dropping to his sides. He just nods in response.
Your right hand raises to his jaw now; left hand resting on his shoulder. Pulling him in to kiss you again, you say softly, “Just follow me for a second.”
When your lips are on Taerae’s again, you squeeze his shoulder gently to get him to relax. He responds to this, letting you lead until he feels confident enough to match you. And once he does...
You’re ready to kick yourself for not falling for him sooner.
“It was for you,” he says softly in between kisses. “I made it for you.”
You pull back to look at him. “What?”
“The poster. The promposal,” Taerae clarifies. “It had your favorite flowers on it, because it was for you.”
Your eyebrows raise as the truth sinks in. Taerae had been trying to ask you to prom yesterday; that’s why he was acting so weird. And Dohyun had obviously been enlisted to help.
“You wanted to go so badly,” he explains. “I know not with me, but I just wanted to try and make you happy anyway.”
A sad laugh escapes you. “Tell me honestly: why are you letting me confess to you right now? Do I really deserve it after all I must’ve put you through?”
Taerae shakes his head. “You definitely don’t,” he affirms before grinning at you. Finally those perfect dimples are on display just for you. “But I’m such a sucker for you. Those sweet potato fries only cost a dollar, you know?”
“I know,” you whisper, grabbing the collar of his navy suit jacket and pulling him in once more. You kiss him sweetly and his arms snake their way around your waist in response. “They just taste better coming from your tray.”
“I don’t even like them,” he says, kissing you again; a smirk on his lips. “I just get them so you’ll steal them from me.”
“(Y/N)?”
Your mother calling you from the other side of your door jolts you, sending you and Taerae scrambling off each other on your bed-- where you haven’t really let each other breathe for the past twenty minutes.
“If Taerae’s sleeping over, can you tell him to turn his headlights off, please?” That’s all your mom says before her footsteps travel back down the stairs; a hint of a smirk in her voice.
Taerae’s eyes widen, his hands searching his pockets for his keys. When he doesn’t find them, he smiles at you sheepishly. “Oops.”
“So stealthy of you,” you tease, hitting his chest lightly as you attempt to catch your breath. He grabs your hand, pulling you back into him and reattaching your lips. Before your mind goes blank again, you pull back. “Go turn your car off!”
“Fine,” he sighs, annoyedly. Pushing himself up off the bed with his hands, he finally stands up and walks towards the window. “Here I go. Just like you asked.”
You walk over to him, grabbing his shoulders from behind and turning him towards your bedroom door. “No more scaling buildings for tonight, King Kong.”
“Really? King Kong? Couldn’t have said something sexier like Spiderman or?”
Before he reaches for the doorknob, you turn him back to face you. Raising up on your toes cutely, you press one more kiss to his lips. “I just don’t really like spiders.”
“That’s right,” he says, palm cupping your cheek. “Giant gorilla it is, then.”
“Now go turn your car off so we can get back to what we were doing...”
Taerae’s hand flies to the doorknob; throwing the door open and running to the stairs as fast as he possibly can.
Just before he disappears down the stairs, he turns back to you-- pounding his chest with his fists lightly like the cutest, lamest gorilla to ever exist.
“This idiot,” you whisper, shaking your head.
I must really love him.
Survival Instincts/Time Heals All Wounds (Part 1)
Another day, another Hyrule. They’re in another forest- why is it always a forest?- so most of the Chain hangs back to let Wild take the lead. He’s got a surprising knack for navigating Hyrulian forests, no matter which Hyrule they end up in. He’s chipper today, in one of his more manic moods. He’s having too much fun chatting and joking with the rest of the Chain to notice he’s moving on muscle memory. He might not recognize where they are, but his body does. His subconscious does.
Twilight walks beside him, making some quip or joke as they approach the tree line. The rest of the Chain laughs, but for Wild, time slows down. The Chain doesn’t notice the red dot that’s appeared on Twilight’s chest. Or the red laser it’s coming from.
“Get down!” Wild yelled suddenly, tackling Twilight out of the way just as the Guardian roaming Hyrule Field fired. The ground exploded where Twi had just been standing, so close Wild’s pants and the back of his leg had been seared by the blast.
“Stay in the trees! Let me handle this,” Wild said, quickly jumping to his feet.
Every fiber of his being was telling him to run, to flee with the Chain through the forest. The Guardian can’t follow them through the trees. But that would leave it there to wander the field, risking the life of anyone who wandered into this area. Wild’s sword was unsheathed before anyone could protest.
They were all frozen with shock, Twi barely able to pull his eyes from the obliterated ground he once stood on to look at the large, imposing Guardian- already charging up another attack. Wild charged out of the trees, bobbing and weaving to make it a bit more challenging for the Guardian to lock on. No one else in the Chain had seen a Guardian so close before. Twi had seen them from a distance, but Wild had never dared get close enough to risk harm to his companion.
The Chain watched in horror as another blast was fired off- with Wild ducking and rolling behind a rock just in time. Adrenaline was surging through him as he jumped up onto the rock and launched off. Time seemed to slow as Wild drew back his bow in mid-air, firing off three arrows in quick succession, each arrow ringing out as they pierced the “eye” of the Guardian. It barely seemed to faze the Guardian.
Wild hit the ground running, sword drawn the instant he hit the ground. He had to close the distance fast- he could see the eye flashing faster and faster as he ran. This time, Wild just barely dodged out of the way, though he was still sent flying off his feet from the force of the blast hitting the ground. He hit the ground hard, and without thinking Time was up on his feet, running just outside the tree line. The Guardian seemed to sense his presence and quickly spun away from the young Hero lying on the ground.
Time had no plan beyond getting the Guardian’s attention off Wild. He didn’t know how to fight it, how to time when to dodge out of the way. He didn’t know what they’re capable of when blast meets flesh. He knew Wild’s scars well, but nothing could have prepared him for the searing pain that flashed through his body- like magma being poured directly onto his flesh. His vision flashed red as the pain of his flesh being torn from his body overloaded him.
Wild lifted his head from the ground just in time to watch his fellow Hero crumple.
He let out an animalistic noise as he lurched up from the ground. Without a moment of hesitation Wild leaped up, using the Guardian’s own leg to jump up, grabbing onto the Guardian with one arm as he plunged his sword straight through the Guardian’s eye. Immediately the Guardian started to Malfunction before crumpling to the ground. Wild dropped a bomb next to the Guardian- just to be safe- and ran for Time. The others had already reached him, though they had no idea what to do. His skin was black, his burnt clothes still smoking.
“I know where we need to take him. It’s not far from here,” Wild said urgently.
The stunned Chain gathered their wits at his words. Twi was first to recover, lifting up Time as carefully and quickly as he could. He was heavy, but Twi had wrangled enough goats in his life to be capable of carrying his ancestor. The rest of the Chain hurried after them, everyone moving as fast as they could after Wild. He had to make sure to pace with Twilight, wishing he could just teleport with him to the Shrine of Resurrection.
Wild never wanted to return to this place. He had to fight the flood of trauma memories threatening to overtake him as they rushed across the Great Plateau. The group had to work together to get Time back through the cave to the Shrine itself, and Wild himself helped Twilight lower him into the healing waters.
All they could do now is wait.
ignore me for spacing out and stalling on modern!aemond
Cont.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS, CONTINUE WITH CAUTION
but also take ghost!aemond after the war and the dance of the dragons. his soul finding solace in the place he felt the most serene when he was living
it took many years after the war between the blacks and the greens, being a direct decendent of prince daeron, great-grandchild of rhaenyra targaryen
in your youth, you swore you saw whisps of long blonde hair breezing past you in the corridors, catching you when you tripped but disappeared before you could finish blinking
you constantly told your father, god forbid even your mother brushed it aside as some form of your overactive imagination but you knew in your tiny bones that there was someone else aside from your siblings residing in the castle
it wasn't until you were old enough to lurk the castle on your own did you see him. a tall, slender man standing by the fireplace in the library that was meant to be offlimits per your fathers request.
"who are you?" you would ask him while his back was turned to you, only glancing at the slender curve of his jaw, the natural upward curl of his lips, the ever so faint peek of his dimples as a single violet eye glanced at you
he said no words as he silently glanced at the many spines that lined the shelves, his hands tightly woven behind his back, almost itching to touch one of the many literatures that even he had collected in his time of living
you constantly watched the types of literature he seemed to linger around, the philosophical texts catching your eyes, along with the history books that seemed untouched with the dust collecting around them.
"shall i read to you?" you asked, not waiting for an answer as you pulled a book from it's place, blowing off the dust as Aemond watched you curiously, eyes flickering between you and the fireplace as he remained planted in his spot.
The Tales of Old Valyria, his favorite.
it had then become a routine, you visiting the library when duties had been attended to, your eyes lighting up when you saw his slender back from your spot at the doorway. you had learned he was a man of very few words, only responding in gutteral hums and grunts in between words, but often tore his eyes away from the fire to glance at you when you stopped reading aloud
"you can sit, you know. you must be exhausted standing around for hours." you offered one time as aemond's bittersweet smirk grew on his face.
"not one for small conversations.. noted." you would whisper as you reached for another book, a newer one the maesters had brought in to graciously add to the collection you had now deemed as yours
"the song of fire and blood, they call it. about the legacy of the Targaryens... well not only us but others in the seven kingdoms. it is.. my current favorite. my father says it was about our ancestors, rhaenyra and her family." the very name causing aemond's body to tense as he looked at her from the corner of his eye
"my favorite is aemond targaryen, however. he's not entirely mentioned but-"
"he's considered a monster. maimed by his own kin. kinslayer. what much is there to warrent being a favorite?"
the first words he ever muttered to you. self-deprecating, loathing, bitter.
"you would be too if you were regarded only as the second son."
it was then aemond warmed up to you more, standing closer when you would read of their family's history, his history, interjecting every once in a while to put in his own comments, never having the heart to confess that it was truly him that had lived, breathed, killed in those moments.
not with the way you glanced at him like he held your entire world in his hands. not when he saw the sparkle in your eye when you greeted each other with fond smiles, the disappointment when you were called away, when you told him about your day as you twisted flower crowns for him with flowers you had stolen from the gardens stating 'if you detest the sun and the bushes then i shall bring it to you!' followed by his ghostly hand brushing through the small gift. reminding him once again that he was no longer with the living.
and suddenly the fire that roared in the fireplace felt colder than it already was
"it was said that aemond flew on the back of vhagar and brutally avenged his lost eye by slaying his nephew Lucerys Velaryon-"
"it was accidental."
"that he brutally stabbed both of lucerys' eyes out as they washed out on the shore."
"that never happened-"
"you speak as if you were there."
"and if i was? would you turn and flee? call me a monster like the maesters had?!"
"i- i don't understand.."
"no. you wouldn't. i wouldn't expect anything less from the third born child of a pathetic king."
he didn't know why- if it was the resentment in the bloody maesters that had painted him as a kinslaying craven, that he fathered bastards with a bastard witch of the strongs, that he.. he couldn't be there to grab your arm and prevent you from leaving the very room he was trapped in.
he cursed every single day you hadn't visted the library, watching each log slowly burn as he tried his best to release his anger, punching at the shelves, kicking the chairs, but nothing. not a single clatter besides the wind that whipped with every one of his swings.
only then did his head turn when he heard your quiet footsteps after weeks. not bothering to turn to face you as you both stood in silence.
"lucerys velaryon had stolen the eye of aemond targeryen on the night of laena valeryon's funeral. he had stolen the dragon, vhagar in the dead of night when everyone had been asleep and their kin followed and.. incidents followed."
"what are you talking about?"
"he had grown resentful of the bastard children of his half-sister, knowing fully well their father had bent and broken every rule imaginable and got away with nothing but a slap in the wrist. he grew resentful that he was maimed, considered a cripple, a spare to their eldest when he continued his duties for his family and for the realm while his brother fathered bastards, slept with any woman that could breathe with no reprocussions and was still crowned king."
"the slaying of lucerys velaryon was an accident that enthrailed consequences he could not bear.. he died as he lived. cold, angry.. alone." he whispered as he finally turned to you, finally stepping closer as he slowly took off the eyepatch adorned on his face, the bright sapphire still shining as the day he was blessed with it.
"but nothing felt as.. cold and alone as it had when you were absent. i would sacrifice lifetimes, live through those excruciating events again if i knew they all led me back to you.."
"what are you saying?"
"the aemond targeryen lived in blinded spite to all those who wrong him, but the aemond targaryen now.. wishes he lived to be closer to you." he whispered, a hand reaching out to caress the back of his fingers along your cheek, flinching when it did nothing but leave a cold touch past your skin.
it only came crashing down then that you realized, through all the corrected sentiments, the backhanded comments he had made whenever you read to him, he was there, and now that he had found a purpose worth living for, it was not his purpose to bear.
"time and the gods had been cruel to us. you.. you will soon marry, grow old and mother beautiful.. beautiful children. but as you read from them the history books like you had for me.. it matters not the legacy i had left behind, i could be a figment of myth, of imagination, i could not care less what others have thought of me. but what matters to me is that you never forget me, my sweet sapphire."
it sucks im so sorry
love drought
pairing: tae x f.reader
warnings: established relationship, toxic tae, mentions of infidelity, y/n gets treated like shit and she’s okay with it, kinda? not proofread sry!
inspiration: love drought by beyoncé
word count: 475
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“ten times out of nine, i know you’re lying.”
it’s a never ending cycle with taehyung. he cheats, swears up and down that it didn’t mean anything, i cry and forgive him. no matter how bad he treats me he’s the one i want to come home to.
“but nine times out of ten i know you’re trying”
“baby listen” taehyung starts with a hint of frustration in his voice.
"i’ve already told you, I'm making an effort to be better about this whole cheating thing."
i look at him, my heart heavy with doubt and hurt. “tae, i know you’re trying but can you try a little harder for me?."
he rolls his eyes, clearly irritated. "y/n, you're always so demanding. can’t you see I'm trying? you’re just so clingy and controlling. ease up, and maybe i won't be so tempted."
“all the loving i’ve been giving goes unnoticed”
"i’m simply loving you the way a girlfriend, should. where's the harm in that? how does that make me clingy?" i question him
“i’ve given you all my love, poured my heart and soul into our relationship, only to find that it goes unnoticed, leaving me questioning where I stand in your life.” i say
"that’s entirely on you, isn't it? just give me my damn space. how can you be this dense, unable to comprehend that you're suffocating me with how controlling you are and your neediness?" he sneers, venom in his tone.
"neediness? controlling? i’m simply seeking attention from my boyfriend, just like any normal girlfriend would. you label me as controlling, but I'm only asking you not to cheat – that's the bare fucking minimum in a relationship." i retort, frustration and hurt evident in my words.
“nine times out of ten, i’m in my feelings”
“just calm the fuck down y/n. she meant nothing and you know that.” taehyung utters bitterly.
“i would understand more if it was a different girl but this is the same girl. taehyung you’ve done it with her three times now. THREE.” i say back as tears fall down my cheeks.
“tell me, what did i do wrong?”
“why tae? just, just why?” he begins ascending the stairs, with me closely following, demanding answers.
“stop trying to avoid the question.”
“you want to know so bad? it’s because she actually has self-respect for herself, she carrys herself better than you ever will.” he retorts bitterly.
you knew he thought that way but you never thought he’d say it. damn that hurt.
“y/n can’t you see how you are? get it together, i treat you like shit and you take it. i can’t be with someone who doesn’t respect herself.”
“i can’t leave you, i love you too much tae, and you know that.” i can barely get words out. it feels like the room is closing around me. i start panicking and looking around the room.
“am i not thirsty enough?”
“i’ll do anything tae, just tell me. what do i have to do for you to love me, for you to stop?” i plead, my emotions pouring out.
taehyung reclines on the bed, nonchalantly scrolling through instagram ,seemingly unfazed by my heartfelt words.
“please tae, i want to be better. please i just need you to-“ i begin, but he interrupts me.
“listen baby, i just need you to let me do me” he sighs and makes eye contact with me.
“i love you y/n. i don’t ever mean to hurt you.”
i offer a hopeful smile, then crawl into bed to cuddle with him. this is a recurring pattern but i wouldn’t trade it for anything else because we’re made for each other.
“you and me could stop this love drought”
❝𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔❞ —𝐤𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐚𝐞𝐡𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐠
pairing: kim taehyung x reader
based on: reader is in paris and taehyung's an incredible supportive lover.
genre: drabble, fluff, idol au.
warnings: making out, little suggestive, cursing and tae just giving boyfriend material vibes.
a/n: so... i'm back with this little drabble. hope you enjoy it and you can always send your request! lots of love. :) please go easy on me, english is not my native language. so, i apologize for any mistakes and please let me know!
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Paris never looked better in your opinion. The night was falling, the stars were beginning to shine in the sky while the young people went out to have fun with their friends on this summery Friday. You weren't far behind, you had your fresh nails, your long eyelashes, your hair recently dyed a light honey brown that contrasted the colour of your skin perfectly, and of course, it was combed in a perfect bun.
You hugged your light shirt closer to your body while you watched the big city from the balcony of your -temporary- home that offered a spectacular view of the greatest attraction the city could offer you, the Eiffel Tower.
You looked at the time on your phone when it lit up with the incoming message.
Tae: I hope Paris is treating you as you deserve.
You smiled.
Me: Of course it is. It always has.
Tae: I miss Paris Me: You should come visit Paris Me: And me, of course Tae: Obviously. Why else would I go to Paris for? Tae: Oh wait Tae: There may be another reason. A good reason Me: Oh yeah?
Tae: Yeah
Me: Care to tell me?
Tae: There is this ballet dancer, who dances beautifully Me: A ballerina who dances? Me: I'm a little surprised that you like ballet. Who would have thought Tae: You're annoying. Tae: But yes. Actually, I like everything about this girl. Hopefully, I can see her soon. I met her in a café when she spilled all her coffee on my white pants and Gucci shoes Me: That's tragic
Tae: No, not at all. I got to know her and since then we have been very close. Very
Tae: I love to fuck her Me: Okay I have to go now Tae: 😊 Tae: Rehearsals? Tae: What time do you go on stage?
Me: In about two hours, 9pm, so I have to run to the theatre and keep rehearsing Tae: Hope everything goes well. I know you'll dance amazing as always just don't be too surprised
Me: Why would I be surprised? Haha Me: Talk later?
Tae: Of course baby, see you soon xx
You shook your head slightly, smiling as you locked the screen of your phone and then turned to take one last look at the incredible view from the balcony.
You could get used to this, you thought. But you missed your life in Korea. Life there as a foreigner could be incredibly difficult in time to time, but you had also built relationships with incredible people and appreciated every beautiful moment lived. You also couldn't deny that you enjoyed it more because it's where one of your favourite people was.
How you met Taehyung was definitely embarrassing, but at the same time you were grateful because otherwise you wouldn't be on the verge of collapsing from everything you felt for him. He was annoying and charming at the same time. You had never been in love, and you didn't want to be either because of your career that demanded a lot of your time. Shit. Tae's was even more demanding, you never imagined that you could be head over heels for an idol who could make you laugh until you cry in a moment and then fuck you until oblivion in the other.
You didn't have a title. You weren't officially a couple, but it was no surprise to his and your circle that you both did almost everything together. Not only that, but you could be in each other's company all day and still yearn for more time together. It was reciprocal and pure. You had met someone with whom you couldn't say a word and still feel comfortable.
Tae loved every second shared with you, he had met the person who understood him and put herself in his place without the need to ask. You both had busy schedules, which worried him a lot when he realized that he couldn't spend much time away from you, but that stopped thanks to the fact that you worked to continue sharing moments without feeling forced.
He introduced you as his, and you introduced him as yours. Still, the little pinch in your stomach that said he would never make anything official was still there, bothering you day by day. And not to mention when the opportunity to dance in one of the most prestigious theatres in Europe presented itself to you, and you made the decision -which was very hard- to go to France for 5 months to be part of one of your biggest dreams. It was a unique opportunity and although Taehyung supported you in your decision and was every step of the way here, it was difficult. For almost eight months you had not spent more than two days away from each other, and now you were separated by hours and hours of distance.
4 and a half months passed, the end of your contract was approaching, and it was bittersweet. Bitter that your moments on this stage with your new friends would end, but sweet that you would be coming home to him. You also loved every second lived here. Although it was difficult, and it wasn't necessary, it must be emphasized, you were always faithful to Taehyung. Your heart belonged to him.
You were about to return to the stage for the finale when one of your new friends walked up to you with a full smile and sparkling eyes.
"I'm about to pass out," she whispered, half screaming. She took your arm in her hands and shook it slightly.
"What's happening?" You laughed, seeing her unable to stay still because of the small movements and tiny dances she made with her body.
"You little shit, someone came to see you and I think if you don't make him yours, I'm going to steal him." She raised one of her eyebrows. She watched you look at her confused and frowning, she dragged you towards one of the panels to sneak a bit and get the public view.
"What the fuck-"
"____! You're going in 60 seconds."
"Oh, go, go," your friend pushed you back into line to go on stage.
In all the time you were out there you hadn't seen him, you weren't one to watch the public either but shit if you hadn't stood still for a few seconds after seeing him there, sitting in the third row carefully observing the performance.
Butterflies burst in your stomach and your nerves went over the top. You took a deep breath to come back to yourself and keep giving your best out there, even more so because Taehyung was there. You were happy.
You were dragged into a more private part of the place by a bodyguard, and there was no doubt it was to see Tae. The audience had gone a little crazy when they realized that one of the BTS members was present in the among them, making the exit a bit difficult, but the happiness of the dancers and the entire crew was amazing. They were all talking to each other and congratulating each other on attracting one of the biggest celebrities of the world to see them.
"I can't believe this," you managed to let out a laugh before being wrapped in a pair of arms, causing you to crash into his chest and choke your words on her neck. "What are you doing here?" It was your turn to wrap your arms around his waist closing your eyes to better breathe his perfume.
"Missed you so much," he murmured with his eyes closed. It was no secret that Taehyung was really sentimental, and when he loved, he loved hard. "You were amazing," he smiled with a heart, showing his teeth, pulling away from you a bit to look into your eyes, taking your face in his hands, your arms still around his waist.
"You think?" You asked timidly with hope in your voice.
"I don't think," he kissed yours lips softly and quickly. "I know."
Your smile grew even larger and heat consumed your face. Still you looked around you to confirm no one saw you both share tha sweet kiss. You knew it could burn the whole world if people knew Taehyung came all the way to Paris to see you.
"You're crazy," you laughed out of breath, that man really took your breath away the moment your eyes met.
"For you," he mumbled, "what about we leave and go to dinner?"
"Dinner in Paris? Sounds fancy," you started to walk away from the crowd trying to get a glimpse of Tae, but thank god, they couldn't even see him and more importantly, you. Luckily you had already changed into your jeans moments before leaving in search of Tae. You didn't want to draw anyone's attention to what you got for throwing on a black hoodie and your flats. Although your makeup and hairstyle were still intact. The bodyguards followed you as you led them out to a more discreet place where no one could disturb you.
The stars were shining in the sky above you, the wind moving your hair in a light and not overwhelming way. The sound of the living city was heard slightly below you, away from the hotel balcony where you were.
Taehyung had taken off his suit vest as well as his tie, the sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to his elbows and a few loose buttons to his chest. His curls were messy from the strokes of his hand. You, on the other hand, had the opportunity to change into a light white dress of a light and shiny fabric, accompanied by small heels of the same colour as your dress, courtesy of Taehyung who had thought that you would not have enough time to change later of the show. It was lucky for you, he had taken you to a beautiful and elegant private restaurant, and you knew that without the change of clothes you would have been very out of place. You were grateful, you had a beautiful new Gucci dress, you had delicious food for dinner, and now you found yourself looking down on the city with the man your heart so dearly loved.
"Beautiful…" Taehyung mumbled resting his elbows on the concrete railings as he watched you not so discreetly, though you didn't notice. "Right? This city never ceases to amaze me," you smiled as it was your turn now to watch him. "Well, I wasn't exactly talking about the city, but yes… it's also beautiful." His left arm wrapped around your waist pulling you closer to him. Damn, if your heart didn't want to come out of your chest. With all the control you could have of your body you brought your right hand to his lower back and rested your chin on his shoulder. "Thank you for tonight, it really was perfect."
Taehyung gently cupped your face in his hands leaning back slightly to get a better look at you. It was a lot for you so you couldn't help lowering your eyes to avoid feeling that your soul wanted to leave your body for the moment you were living. "Please look at me," he requested in a low voice, almost a whisper. With your lips slightly parted you raised your gaze to connect with his again, this time feeling an extreme calm that you didn't know if you had known before. His eyes the purest and deepest brown you've ever seen, his flawless skin and his crimson lips. "Would you be mine?" His words left his lips as soft and slow as only he knew how. Your eyebrows rose in surprise, your smile appeared without your control. Was he really asking you to make it official to be a couple? Did he really want to be yours? "What?" you laughed under your breath.
"I said, ____, would you be mine? Please?" His eyes full of hope seemed to reflect the stars in the sky, his hands trembled slightly and he felt a tingling go up and down his spine. He was about to lose him if you didn't say you wanted what he wanted. He longed to be able to share those small moments full of intimacy that only a couple could share, he wanted to tell his friends that he couldn't make it because he already had plans with his girlfriend, he wanted to politely reject other people because he was already taken, he already had a girlfriend whom he madly loved. He wanted to apologize for being late because time got out of his hands for being with you, or arriving at his parents' house with your hand in his ready to introduce you as his girlfriend and partner. He wanted all of that and more.
"Do you really want to be mine, Tae?" You murmured still feeling on a cloud high in the sky but afraid that everything would be a joke.
"Am I not obvious enough, ____? You are the one I flew across the world for just so I could hold you in my arms. And what more romantic place to ask you to be my girlfriend than Paris. The city of love can now be ours… so what do you say?"
"I say you're crazy," you sighed, wrapping your arms around his neck, your fingers gently stroking the hairs on his head as you gazed at him lovingly, "and I'd love to be yours on the condition that you're mine too."
"I would want nothing more than to be yours, love." With those final words, he connected his lips in a soft and slow kiss that reflected all the emotions that were invading them both at that moment. It had really happened, you were already a couple and ypu could not be more in love.
"We will always have Paris, it will always be ours from now on. Just you and me."
- Tae?
- Yes?
- Can I eat this? - tiny little hands reach up to show the older boy the berries.
- No, Y/n! You can't eat anything we aren't entirely sure about! - the boy scolds the little girl.
A pout takes over the girl's lips, as she throws the berries to the ground.
- Can you help me put these branches in my arms?
The little girl squeals in happiness and picks up the branches one by one.
- Will we build a big, big house? - she asks with wide eyes.
- I'm not sure how bit, or steady it will be, but I promise to try my best!
Y/n claps his hands at his answer. Usually, anything Taehyung promises will happen, so the girl is sure that in just a few days they will own the house of her dreams on this small island that is just theirs, no one else's.
~
The ocean was swaying behind the two kids in the rising sun. Tae hasn't slept almost the entire night, too busy making the finishing touches on the little house they built.
- It's done! It's done, Tae! I'm so happy! - a little girl squealed as the last little details were done as well.
- It is, Y/n! - the boy smiled sleepily. - Have you seen your room yet?
- My woom? I have my own woom?!
- You sure do! - the boy grabbed Y/n's tiny hands and lead her in front of one of the rooms in the wooden house.
There were beautiful shells stuck to the door and formed letters and words. The y read: Y/n's room.
- Happy Birthday, Y/n!
- It's my biwthday? - the girl asked wide-eyed.
- It is, silly. - he chuckled. - It's the 3rd of July.
- How do you know?
- I've been keeping track on the wall of the cave.
- Wow!
- So, do you want to see your room? It's your present from me.
Without another word, the girl pushed the bamboo door open with tiny, clumsy hands. The sight in front of her left Y/n speechless.
The room wasn't large but it was extremely cosy. There was everything the little girl needed. A bed-like creation to sleep on, a small wardrobe she could fill with the clothes that were saved from the ship or washed to shore, and even a window, giving a fantastic view of the infinite water, covered by curtains. Adorable decorations made out of shells and leaves were hung on the sealing.
- Tae... It's so beautiful! Thank you! - she wrapped her short arms around the boy's thighs and hid her face in his stomach.
- Of course, Y/n. You deserve it. - he picked up the girl and held her securely on his waist. - But only if you show me how old you turned!
Little Y/n slowly held up her fingers while counting each one until she stopped.
- Five! - she laughed.
- That's right! You're a big girl now! - he kissed her cheek and gently lowered her light body to the ground. - Today is all about you, Sweetheart! We'll celebrate!
- A pawty?
- Yes, a party.
- Will mama and dada be thewe?
The boy's eyes darkened, sadness washing over his figure.
- No, Y/n... T-they won't be there, unfortunately... - he brushed a hand over the girl's soft cheeks as a pout spread across her lips.
- Then youw mama and youw dada?
The boy only sighed and shook his head, holding back tears that were so eager to spill onto his cheeks.
- Why?
- Remember the fire on the ship? - she nodded. - Well... you and I are very lucky, you know? Mama and dada couldn't get out as we did... I... t-they got stuck in the fire...
- But we awe they now?
- Y/n... they are at a better place... I guess... - a tear managed to slip out. - But that place is very far away from us.
- It doesn't, matter how far away they are, Tae. I want to go there.
- Oh, Y/n, no! That place... that place is for people who don't live anymore.
The little girl started to realize what her friend was trying to tell her. There was no coming back for her mama and papa... They were gone.
Tears started welling up in the girl's eyes and looked up at the boy almost as if she was asking for help of some sort.
- A-are they d-dead?
All the boy did was nod slightly, his own heart breaking at the sight of the little girl's tear-streamed face. The girl once again buried her face into the boy's stomach, painful sobs erupting from her lips.
5 year later
Y/n took careful steps as she climbed the little hill which had turned into her safe place over the years. Whenever she was feeling down, or times were rough, she would come out there and pray. She believed this was the place where she could talk to her parents. even though they never answered through words, Y/n knew they were listening.
The delicately carved piece of rock was placed on the top of the hill, with the beautiful ocean behind it.
Y/n placed the blossoming bouquet next to the headstone and a small tear escaped her eyes.
- Mama? Papa? - she began. - I hope you can hear me. I'm sure you can. - she smiled. - I turned 10 a couple of days ago. I'm a big girl now... Tae is 16 now. He's so, so, so smart. He built a whole house, and I even have my own room! He also taught me many, many things, so I could be smart just like him. Although, I still have a long way to go. He truly is amazing. He's the sibling I never had. My wise, big brother. He hunts and catches fish for us to eat, and I collect fruits and veggies around the island. I even made my own little garden where I can grow all the delicious plants. But Tae is the one who does most of the things. I always try to help him as much as I can...
It started raining. Y/n would have had so much more to tell her parents, but the worried boy's voice stopped her.
- Y/n, come inside! - his voice echoed from a distance.
- Bye, mama! Bye, dada! - she blew a kiss above her head.
Taehyung told her they must be up there, far, far away above the clouds.
~
What is happening to me?
Taehyung thought to himself as he stood in front of the small mirror that got washed up to shore a few days after the accident.
He didn't things were happening to his body. He was overly confused. He was inspecting his bare chest. It had gotten much... bigger? More muscular! His arms weren't as thin as they used to be.
And what is that thing coming out of my...
Nevermind.
This was puberty... he knew it. But he thought his voice is going to get deeper, or a little facial hair and that's it. But oh boy, no...
He just wished his dad would be there to explain it all... His big sister, Tiana, explained some girly stuff to him, but she never told him about the things boys experienced.
He had a lot to figure out on his own.
~
- Careful around the fire, Y/n!
- Sorry... - she apologized and stopped getting closer to the intriguing flames. - Can I have the coconut, please?
- Of course.
- But you love coconut too and we only have one. We could always share.
- Thank you, Y/n! You are very sweet, but we don't have to. We only found a small coconut this time, so I want you to eat as much of it as possible.
- But why? - the girl asked with curious eyes.
Tae could see she wasn't developing as she should. She was still extremely thin and shorter than an average 10-year-old should be. He was on a mission to fix this issue. He went hunting every day for hours, coming home with different animals and fruits, hoping they would help the girl. She was fragile.
But he didn't want to worry Y/n or make her think she was weak.
- I don't even like them that much, so you can have it.
- Really? - she gasped. - I thought you loved coconuts...
- I changed my mind. - he smiled.
- Okay... More for me then! - she giggled cheekily.
- Eat up sweetheart. - he chuckled, happy to see his sunshine eat.
Because it was true. Y/n was his sunshine. His everything since getting stuck on this island. He lost his whole family in the ship catastrophe. His parents, all 4 of his little sisters, and his big sister, who he looked up to very much. He missed them incredibly. He missed braiding their hair, their laughs and just having them in general. He wished he cherished those moments more before it all came to an end.
And for Y/n's parents, Y/n was their only child, and he swore he would protect her with all he had.
2 years later
- TAE! TAE!!! - the 12-year-old girl shouted from the edge of the forest.
- Y/N? Y/N WHERE ARE YOU?! - his worried voice called out.
Y/n's frightened form emerged from under the trees. She was running and chased by a little fluff ball.
- What is this, Tae?! Oh my God! It's gonna kill me!
The boy burst into laughter.
- Y/n! - he was laughing so hard. - H-have you e-ever seen a dog?
- Yes, but Tae! This isn't a dog. It's much smaller and its barks are ear-piercing.
- Y/n, this is a dog, just a different kind. Maybe you haven't seen one of them before. Look.
He caught the girl, who jumped onto him, seeking a place to hide. A place where she could be safe. And it was always her protector, her big brother. She wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck, burying her face into its crock.
The tiny, fluffy dog stopped at the boy's legs at last and started jumping to reach the little girl, but it was too small and couldn't jump that high.
The boy slowly sat the girl down on her legs and the puppy immediately sniffed her, memorizing her fragrance. Taehyung wiped away the tears that rolled down the girl's cheeks.
- See? He's friendly.
- He? It's a boy? - she smiled, finally calming down.
- Yes.
- How do you know?
- Uhm... well... see that thing there? - he pointed between the dog's legs at the back.
The girl nodded.
- Well... that means he is a boy.
- Oh! Okay.
- Do you want to pet him?
- No! - she buried her face into his chest once more.
- But he's friendly! Look, he's so small.
The little girl opened her eyes and looked at the tiny creature, crouching down finally and carefully lowering her hand to pet the fluff ball's head.
- See?
A soft giggle erupted from Y/n.
- Give him a name, Tae!
- Me? Don't you have any pretty names?
She shook her head. Taehyung thought for a second. he always wanted a dog, but there was already so much hectic in their house at home, that adding a dog to 6 kids would have been a disaster.
But there was one name he liked, despite not being able to give it to any animal.
- How about Yeontan? - he said.
- Yeontan?
- Do you not like it?
- I do! Yeontan... That's such a unique name. Tannie!
- Tannie? What is that?
- His nickname! Yeontan and Tannie! Is it okay?
- Of course! I love it.
With that, he pressed a kiss onto her cheeks. Their little family had 3 members now. They weren't alone. They had each other. And that's what matters the most.
2 years later
Oh, God...
Oh, please, no!
- No! Tannie, go away! - she scolded the dog, who was curiously smelling the red stain on the white fabric.
The blood on her bed was the first thing Y/n noticed after she woke up. And the throbbing pain in her tummy didn't go away either... She thought it was from accidentally swallowing a lot of salt water while swimming the day before. It had happened before but didn't usually last this long.
This was different.
And where was the blood coming from? - she figured that one out pretty quickly... Panic rose in her. What was she supposed to do now? Tell Tae? But this is so embarrassing... There was no way she was going to keep this to herself. She shared everything with him.
So she shyly got off of her bed and yanked the stained material it was covered with.
- Tae? - she called out for him as she stepped out of the house.
The boy was just returning from collecting useful things around one part of the island.
- Yes, sweetheart?
- I... - she swallowed hard. - I'm really sorry, Tae... I don't know what happened.
She unraveled the fabric to reveal the bloodstain. However, she didn't receive the reaction she was nervous about. The boy inspected the red spot and a soft smile appeared on his face.
- Y/n, there's nothing to worry about, okay? This is completely normal for girls. It's called menstruation or a period when big and mature girls like you bleed from down there once a month or so. It's totally natural.
Y/n processed his words. She had so many questions and she wasn't afraid to ask him. Turns out, he knew a lot of things about periods.
- If only girls get this, then... how do you know so much about it?
- From my big sister. She taught me many things. Stuff about girls, what changes their bodies go through, and everything else that comes with it.
And so he shared all his knowledge about menstruation cycles with her, starting from cramps and bleeding, to mood swings and cravings. She looked up to him so much.
- Come, let's get you cleaned up and prepare the stuff we need, sweetheart.
He noticed her flushed cheeks and her hesitation to go with him.
- Y/n, this is pure nature. There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. Please, let me take care of you! - he enveloped her in a big hug.
- Thank you, Tae!
~
- Here. - Taehyung put the small cloth full of hot rocks from the beach on Y/n's tummy. He made sure it wasn't too heavy for her stomach. - Tell me when it runs cold and I'll collect more from the sand.
- How is this supposed to help?
- Hot temperatures usually help with cramps like such.
- Oh! Okay, thanks. - she smiled through her tears.
The boy pressed a soft kiss onto her temple.
- Woof! - a high-pitched bark came from the door.
- Hi Tannie! Come here.
The puppy paddled his legs with his tongue hanging from its mouth and jumped into Taehyung's huge hands. The boy placed him next to the girl's cramping stomach. The Yeontan sniffed along her tummy and let out whimpering noises.
- Shh... It's okay, Tannie. - the boy called. - Mamma's okay. Just some cramps that will go away soon.
But for Yeontan it didn't look like his Mamma is okay.
The sight of the girl he has become so protective of in tears worried him. Turns out, those stupid cramps were bothering her, and even though Taehyung told her about these pains during periods, she still got a little scared.
Being in pain was never a good sign, she learned that pretty early on. They had no doctors, medicines, or gauze to wrap their wounds. They could only rely on each other.
There was one time when Taehyung got badly hurt while climbing on a tree to reach those huge coconuts for Y/n. He knew they were her favorite. A branch broke underneath his weight and while gravity pulled him harshly to the ground, another branch cut his right thigh. It was a nasty cut. In a couple of days, the wound got infected. It got to the point where he couldn't even feel his toes. He thought he was losing his leg.
The little girl was terrified at that time. She was still very young and had no idea how to help her best friend.
From then on they swore to tell each other if they experienced any sort of pain, no matter how small it was.
- Is it working? - he asked after a while.
- Mhm... It doesn't hurt as much anymore.
- Thank God! - he smiled. - Sleep, sweetheart. It will be even better after you wake up. And guess what...
- What? - the girl perked up at his excited voice.
- Maybe a little surprise will be waiting for you when you wake up.
- What surprise? Coconut?!
- If I told you it won't be a surprise anymore, silly.
Y/n pouted.
- Okay... I'll sleep quickly then!
- Take your time, Y/n. - and there goes another kiss on the cheeks. - Yeontan, guard Mamma's dreams, okay?
- Woof!
- Good boy! - he scratched behind his ears.
And with a cute chuckle, the girl closed her eyes and drifted off into a shallow slumber.
~
- I'm up!
- This was barely 20 minutes, sweetheart...
- But I was so excited... I couldn't sleep any longer.
- Alright, come outside then.
Taehyung could hear quick feel paddle on the bamboo stairs. Soon enough she appeared with the tiny puppy following close behind.
- What's the surprise?
Taehyung laughed at her nosiness.
- Patience, Y/n!
- Okay... - she pouted.
- Come with me.
With that, he took her hand and lead her to the mountainside where thousands of white stripes showed the number of days they'd been calling this island home.
But there was so much more room on the huge rock.
In front of the empty surface, half coconut shells were sitting in the sand. Y/n curiously stepped closer to them.
- Colours? - she asked confused.
- They are paints. Look! - he crouched down next to the girl. Green, red, purple, and this blueish color. I tried to make yellow as well but... it didn't turn out quite that well.
A huge smile crept onto her face.
- But it turned into a beautiful cream color! - she clapped her hands in excitement.
- Do you like them? - he asked. - Here's a brush you can use to put them on the wall.
He picked up the paintbrush-like creation and handed it to her.
- I love them!!! - she jumped onto the boy who fell into the sand with a soft thud, with one hand tight around Y/n's body and the other pressed her head into the crook of his neck. - Thank you, Tae!
- Thank me by showing what you can create with them.
Her cheeks flushed red.
- Well... I've never really painted before. I'm not very good.
- That's okay! Do something simple. Like... the ocean during sunset!
- Okay.
The boy set aside. He watched as Y/n sipped the brush in each color. She was so concentrated on her art, her tongue stuck out.
In a few minutes, the picture started to come together, even though the colors didn't show up quite vibrant on the dark rock. The wavy blue line was obviously the water, the red half circle above it the setting sun. She even managed to paint pretty clouds with the cream color.
- It's beautiful, Y/n!
- Thanks! - she showed a shy smile.
~
3 years later
From then on, whenever Tae was away, this large canvas became her safe place. She painted away and eventually with a lot of practice, her skills became better and better. She even experimented with the whole paint-making process and improved the quality of her paints each time.
Y/n was a grown woman now. Her curves have gotten more prominent and they were beautiful nonetheless.
It didn't miss Taehyung's eyes either. The way her chest pushed out the otherwise loose-fitting cloth around her body, how the fabric hugged the soft curve of her hip... As he watched her work on another masterpiece on the canvas given by nature with their dog by her feet, who hasn't grown much, all he could think about was how he would-
No!
Stop that!
He couldn't think like that. She was his little sister. he has been taking care of her, raising her ever since she turned 5...
Well... he wasn't actually his sister-
STOP! - he scolded himself.
He couldn't take watching her anymore...
- Y/n, I'm going hunting! - he called.
- Okay. Do you want me to come with you?
- No, you just paint.
Y/n pouted a little. His oh-so-loved big brother has been so distant lately... It made her sad. So, so sad.
She didn't understand... They used to be best buddies. Telling each other everything and anything. Now he didn't even cuddle her to sleep anymore. He started wearing clothing while swimming, which was something neither of them did before. So Y/n decided to do the same. She made her own hand-made swimwear.
That gave her the idea to spend the remainder of the day swimming a little. She finished her painting of Tannie, packed up her pieces of equipment, and made the short walk to their house with the small dog trailing behind her.
At this point, Yeontan had his own corner with a little swing and a half coconut shell as a food bowl. He quickly nestled himself in his swing and dosed off right away.
The cool water felt refreshing on her skin after such a hot day. She could tell the sun still had about 45 minutes before starting to set. She would be back before it was completely under the horizon.
This was the time to let out all the frustration, confusion, and hurt. It came in the form of tears. They blended perfectly with the salty ocean water.
She just swam and swam, letting all the droplets exit her eyes.
She didn't realize how far she has gone. She wasn't far from shore. In fact, the island was almost at arm's reach, however, she no longer recognized which part of the island she was facing. She must be on the other side... But that was so far! And-
Oh no!
The sky had gotten dark. There was no way she could find her way back in pitch black.
She started to panic. She couldn't swim to shore because of the sudden cramp in her limbs. The anxiety of not knowing her surroundings pulled her under the surface. She wanted to shout, but not even a broken sound came out of his throat.
All she could do was splash the water around in hopes of getting Taehyung's attention. But he was so far from her right now. There was no way it will reach his ears.
She couldn't keep fighting anymore... The harsh waves pushed her to the bottom.
~
Where is she?!
The boy was freaking out. He checked their entire house, only to be met with their peacefully sleeping dog. But he awoke because of his owner's distressed shuffles around the room.
- Tannie! Where is Mamma? - his voice was panicked, which caused Yeontan to worry as well.
- Woof! - he jumped off his swing and ran outside.
Taehyung followed right behind, but the dog was only barking at the water.
- Did Mamma go swimming?
- Woof!
But she should be back already!
It was their rule that if they ever went swimming alone, they would be back before sunset. It was night now...
- Y/N!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!
He ran along the waves, but there was no sight or sound of Y/n. He was starting to lose his mind.
I swear if anything happens to her I-
- Y/N!!!
He ran straight through the forest behind their house, still screaming her name, not caring if he draws the attention of predators to himself.
What was that?
There was something in the water nearby. Something was violently splashing. Before it stopped. Taehyung went to check on the source of the noise, only to find familiar strands of hair sinking under the water.
- Y/N!!! Oh my God!
He jumped into the cool water and swam towards the girl like his life depended on it. And it did. But mostly hers.
As soon as he managed to drag her body to stable grounds he checked for a pulse.
There wasn't any.
He immediately began pushing down on her chest at a fast pace. He was terrified. He didn't know what he was doing. He remembered something about having to blow air into the person's mouth. So he did that. He opened her mouth and blew into it just like how a small child would blow out the candles on a birthday cake.
- Y/n, please wake up! - he began sobbing.
The blowing didn't work, so he continued pushing on her chest.
Eventually, Y/n coughed up water. A lot of it. But she was alive and awake.
- Y/n! Y/n, sweetheart!
Water continued flowing out of her mouth. He just sat there with her head on his lap and stroked her hair until every bit of water left her lungs. Even after that, she was left breathing heavily and weak.
- Tae... - she panted.
- It's okay, I'm here.
- Tae, I-
- Shhh... just sleep, I'll carry you back.
The girl didn't have enough strength to say another word, so she obeyed and shut her eyes.
~
Taehyung quietly watched as she slept peacefully, with Yeontan right by her side. She was okay, and that meant everything to him.
He was, however, angry at her for wandering off so far from their house and not coming back by sunset. It was their rule and she had broken it. Taehyung had never felt such fear before.
- Tae... - her soft, sleepy voice was heard.
She slowly sat up.
- Why? - the boy said.
- I'm sorry, Tae, I-
- I told you! I told you not to go that far or be back in time! - he rose his voice.
- I know and I-
- Do you know how scared I was?
- Tae, I-
- NO YOU DON'T! - he shouted.
The girl flinched and scooted as far away from him on the bed as possible. She knew she made a mistake, but she never could have imagined the effect it had on Taehyung. The boy, who was always so gentle and soft around her. The boy she felt safe with.
- I WAS FUCKING TERRIFIED, OKAY! - this was the first time he used a curse word in front of her.
He wasn't even sure she knew what it meant, but he didn't care at the moment.
Y/n had tears running down her cheeks, but gathered enough strength.
- WHO ARE YOU TO SET RULES, HUH?! - she shouted. - YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER! HE'S DEAD AND SO IS YOURS!
Taehyung was taken aback by her behavior. He's never heard her raise her voice like that before.
- I'm almost 18 years old!!! I can do whatever I want, and you are NOT the one to control me!
- I am! I fucking am! I've raised you since you were 5! I was only 11 at the time, but I still made sure YOU never felt alone and had everything you needed! And after everything I've done for you over these twelve years, you still have the AUDACITY to be an ungrateful bitc-
He stopped just in time and didn't finish the last word.
- If I'm that much of a burden to you, then why did you even bother with me?!
- I NEVER said you were a burden! Stop twisting my words!
- Well, regardless, you won't have to bother anymore!
With that, she stood up and barged into her room to grab some of her belongings. She reemerged with a huge pile of her stuff covering her face and marched out of the house... their home.
- Where are you going? - he asked in a calmer tone.
- I'm leaving, if you couldn't tell... I don't want to bother you any further. - her voice could be heard, but he didn't see her anymore.
He hurriedly stood up and ran after her.
- Y/n, stop right now!
- Just leave it, Taehyung!
- Come back, now!
- DON'T CONTROL ME!
- I'M NOT CONTROLLING YOU! YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!
- See? You ARE controlling me!
- Okay then! LEAVE! And we'll see how you manage out there alone!
- We damn well will!
~
And she did manage pretty well. When you are trapped on an island, you don't have a choice, but to adapt to the changes in life and learn to survive.
She found shelter in a spacious cave and she settled there. She set up her little sleeping area, organized her painting supplies, and so on.
But she missed him. And it was different from before. She no longer missed him as a sister would her brother she hadn't seen in a long time. She couldn't quite put a hand on what she was feeling. One thing was for sure: she couldn't sleep without his touch on her waist or his kisses on her cheeks.
She felt so alone. Something that she hasn't felt in 12 years.
She would sometimes see him when she went out fishing, but emotionless glances were all they sent each other.
~
He was in absolute agony. He was upset with her, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't push away the worry he felt when she didn't show up for days at her usual fishing spot.
And now it has been a whole month since she left. The 5th of July. Her 18th birthday passed without him giving her happy birthday kisses or surprising her with something, just like he did every year.
He went looking for her before, but gave up, thinking she needed space. If he was sure she wanted him to find him, he would've found her already. The island isn't that big after all...
But he respected her decision of wanting to be alone. No matter how much that hurt him.
~
He hasn't seen her in a week now. This was strange since she showed up every other day close to their home. He was very worried.
He didn't care anymore. He went looking for her.
It didn't take him long to find her.
He entered the cave with a little bit of trouble. The entrance was too tight for him, but she didn't have any problem getting in with her tiny frame. It was dark inside, only a little bit of sunlight slipped through the small entrance.
The moment he spotted her laying in the corner, he knew something wasn't right. She was breathing heavily and as he felt her forehead, it was obvious she was burning up.
- Sweetheart? - he whispered.
- Tae? - her voice was nearly non-existent.
Then a broken sob escaped her lips.
- Shh... It's okay. You're okay, sweet girl! - he kept his voice low, knowing how sensitive her hearing must be right now.
He lifted her gently but soon realized, there was no way he could squeeze the both of them through that tiny hole. So he slowly lowered her back to where she has been laying and covered her from head to toe with her blankets, so she wouldn't get hurt. He then launched himself at the rocks around the entrance and gave it a harsh kick, which sent chunks of debris flying everywhere.
This was he was able to get her back to where she belonged to. Their home, with him.
He layed her wack and tended to her needs. Starting with making her drink a lot of water, then feeding her small bits of food.
The fever was still there after a few days, but she looked so much better. Her face was no longer that pale, and her eyes regained that shine she always had in them.
He was so relieved.
- Tae?
- Yes?
- I love you.
- Love you two, Sweetheart.
- I'm sorry for everything. - she was so guilty.
- I'm sorry too. For the yelling, you know. You didn't deserve that.
- I kind of did...
- Yeah... maybe. - they chuckled. - I'm just happy we made up. So we're good now, right?
- We always were, Tae!
He looked down at her lips and felt the urge to press his onto them. He tried stopping himself, but at the same time, she leaned in and finished what he started.
~
Y/n was confused. She had no idea what they did that day, what it was called. He saw her mother and father do that a lot. That much she remembered.
It was a gesture of love. She knew that.
She loved Taehyung, of course. That wasn't a question. But it was different now, for sure.
She had to figure out what was going on.
~
She turned 18. Taehyung explained how this was a special age and that she was an adult now. An adult, just like him.
- Y/n, I love you but can you please get off my lap?
- Am I too heavy? - she pouted.
- No! Or course not! But I just need you to get off for a little...
- Okay...
She reluctantly got off of the boy's lap and he immediately covered the area where she'd been with his arms.
Luckily she didn't realize.
- I'm going for a quick walk, okay? Will you be okay on your own for a while? - he asked.
- Can't I come with you?
- Uhm... I'm afraid not, Sweetheart.
- But why?
- I just need some time alone.
- I don't like this, Tae... - she sighed. - You've been acting weird since a long time ago. And after that day when... o-our l-lips touched...
- Things haven't been the same? - he finished for her.
She just nodded. He desperately tried to think of something that will help with his... situation down there, and eventually succeeded.
- I'm sorry, Y/n. There are things that my sister never explained to me and I'm confused.
- I'm confused too! We can be confused together. - she smiled.
He giggled at her cuteness.
- I know.
Y/n was looking at the waves that were crashing against the solid wall of rocks on the other end of the coast, clearly submerged in thoughts. The boy, who was much rather a grown man now, just stared at her side profile in the soft light of the setting sun.
- Y/n?
She turned her head towards him.
- I love you, Y/n. - he whispered.
- I love you too, Tae. - she turned her head back.
- I'm in love with you.
She looked back at him. In love? She'd never heard that before. What does it mean?
- Not like a brother would love her sister, or not how we love Yeontan.
- Then?
- Like your dad loved your mom, or like your mom loved your dad.
- Like lovers? In love? - she finally understood.
- Yes. - he sent her a soft smile.
Was that what she felt all along. Were the feelings mutual?
The answer was simply yes. She could finally label it and get rid of the mess taking over her thoughts.
She was in love. they were in love.
Whit that, their lips crashed against each other for the second time, but this time none of them broke it for a long, long time.
~
3 years later
- Love, I'm home! - Taehyung called.
- Finally! - she laughed. - I couldn't imagine where you have gone off to.
Taehyung walked up to her where she was hanging up their clean fabrics and clothes. He laced his arm around her waist and kissed her temple.
- I was just on a quick hunt. I noticed you developed a pretty good appetite lately. - he chuckled.
- Hey! - she smacked his chest lightly. - You eat twice as much as me!
- Yeah yeah... I'm just saying that you've been eating a bit more compared to the amount you used to. I'm not saying that's bad-
- Well you sure make it seem like it is. - Y/n cut him off, this time with a sharper tone.
- No, no! Don't think like that. What I meant is that since we consume more food now I went hunting a bit so we wouldn't run out! - he was becoming a little annoyed this time around. - But you know what? Forget I said anything.
- Fuck you, Taehyung!
With that, she threw the remaining clothes at the stunned boy next to her and angrily stormed off.
~
Taehyung finished hanging the laundry on the string tied between two palm trees and returned to the house.
- Y/n-ie... - he called out in a gentle, apologetic voice.
Y/n was lying in her bed, which wasn't in her room anymore, much rather pressed as close to Taehyung's as possible. She was turned towards the wall and had the blanket draped over her face. She clearly heard him, but intentionally ignored him.
God... Why is she like this?
Maybe she'll get her period soon...
But she's never behaved like this before. Not even during that time of the month...
He assumed giving in and apologizing was the best option. Even if he felt like he wasn't guilty...
- Y/n, I'm sorry! - he sat down next to her head.
He attempted to pull the fabric off of her head, but she had a strong grip on the material, so in the end, he settled for stroking her hair.
- You aren't eating too much. I was wrong about it all!
- No you weren't... - she sobbed. - I do eat more and I'm getting fat!
- Now that's just ridiculous-
- I'm serious, Tae! I think I'm sick. I'm eating more and haven't bled this month...
What?
- I thought I miscounted the days but I didn't... - she continued. - I mean, I'm not sad about it. Periods are horrible, but this could mean I'm sick. And that's even worse.
- Hold up! Y-you... You haven't had your period?
- No?
It was all making sense. Her appetite, missed period...
- Baby, I-... I think you are pregnant. - he announced in shock.
- Pregnant?
- Yeah... Like a baby. I mean... We're having a baby.
- How? Where? - she was confused.
With shaky hands, the boy reached for the girl's middle and layed a protective hand on the flat surface.
- Here. You have a baby in your belly.
- B-but... How? - her eyes widened.
- Uhm... Well, you know how we... how we...
- Yeah. - she understood and a naughty smile spread across her face.
- That's how it must have happened. I-I'm not s-so sure though... Nobody really told me much about that.
There was a moment when nothing outside them mattered. It was just him, her, and the little being within the body of the girl, now the woman he loved so dearly. Their precious creation.
His hand remained over the spot his baby was settled in. Not wanting to leave. Ever.
- We're having a child. - tears streamed down both of their faces.
- We are!
His lips captured hers in a deep, emotional kiss.
~
Y/n woke up to an uneasy feeling in her stomach. She ran outside and launched forward to vomit in the sand.
Oh, God...
This has never happened to me before.
She was beyond scared. Every sickness they ever experienced on this island was scary.
- Y/n?! - Taehyung came jogging on the coast.
She couldn't answer. Her stomach continuously emptied itself. There was no break.
- It's okay, Love! It's totally normal. - he rubbed her back and held her hair with his free hand.
Once she finished the girl looked up at him with pleading eyes. That's when he noticed the tears in her eyes.
- Oh my darling.
He cradled her head close to his chest, not caring if she just threw up.
- W-what was t-this Tae?
- Calm down. It's normal, okay? This is what comes with pregnancy, unfortunately.
- So I'll have to deal with this for a year?! - she worried.
Y/n knew nothing about pregnancy. Not how long it lasted, not the symptoms, stages... Nothing.
And then came the lesson about pregnancy and all of those details that Taehyung knew.
- A pregnancy lasts for about 9 months, 40 weeks. The baby continues to grow bigger as it develops. This period is divided into 3 trimesters. You're in the first one right now. As your body adapts to the changes of accommodating a human being inside, you may experience some of the first-trimester symptoms, like nausea, or backaches. There might be more, but I'm not that educated on it...
Y/n stood there in an ave.
-How do you know so many things? - she wondered.
- My mom was pregnant many times and I was present for all of the home births. Except for my older sister's, of course.
The girl hugged her love dearly.
- What would I do without you?
- What would I do, angel? - he kissed her head. - Let's get something into your tummy, okay?
- Mhmm... I'm quite hungry.
- Let's go then.
Taehyung made her sit comfortably on the bed-like creation, with her back against the cushioned frame and her legs crossed together.
He prepared some of the things he remembered her mom ate while expecting. However, there wasn't much he could put together. They didn't have all those resources. He remembered something about having to be careful with fish. But what was it?
In the end, he cooked the fish really good to make sure he got rid of the bacteria on it.
- Here, eat up!
Y/n didn't know what was going on. Her stomach turned at the smell, but there was nothing it could rid itself of.
- Tae, I... I don't think I can eat right now. It smells weird.
- Oh, my love. That's okay! I think it's one of the symptoms I think.
- This sucks...
- I know, I'm sorry... But it will go away eventually.
~
During the next few weeks, Taehyung's favorite way to spend time became cuddling her either in their bed or in the sand close to the crashing waves.
Y/n developed a small bump that kept growing and growing. It fascinated them both. One because she has never seen, let alone experience such a thing, and the other wasn't used to seeing someone carrying a baby outside of his mother. And when it was his baby that person, the love of his life was carrying, it was a whole new story.
They were walking hand in hand in the forest. Taehyung remembered his mother taking small walks during her pregnancy with her younger sisters. She said it was healthy for both the baby and her. So that's what he made Y/n do.
- Your bump is adorable, love.
- It's still weird to me... - she answered with a hand on her lower tummy.
- You'll get used to it as it gets bigger.
They continued to walk under the trees, which provided shade from the shining sun, in complete silence.
- Tae... I'm scared.
He stopped and turned her so they were looking into each other's eyes.
- I know, baby. It's totally normal, but don't worry. I'm gonna be here for all of it. And the little I know, I'm going to teach you.
~
- Yeontan! Come here! - Y/n yelled, calling the dog for his feed. - Hi, Tannie. You were close to the house, huh? You usually wander far away from home.
The dog, who was still the size of a small puppy, jumped around the girl's leg as she squatted down next to his bowl. She did that with minor difficulties since the protruding extension of her bump got in the way of many activities she would usually do with ease. That was one of the reasons Taehyung was the one on a hunt at the moment. He wouldn't allow Y/n to do that. Not right now.
- Tannie! - she chuckled in surprise.
The puppy was rubbing against her tummy with such care, it seemed like the pet knew about her state. The pup wouldn't touch his food. He was so caught up in admiring the girl's middle. He could feel something was going on. Something very important indeed.
- Woof, woof!
- Tannie... You're scaring baby. - she giggled.
- What's going on in there? - a deep voice sounded from outside.
- Tae!!! - she jumped up as her love appeared at the door.
- Y/n! - he breathed as she practically launched herself at him. - Easy there, my love.
- How did your hunt go?
- Got some goodies...
- Let me see!!!
- Here... - he led her out of the house. - Coconuts, bananas, and even the mangos had ripened! I'll still have to go fishing since I didn't come across any animals that are worth hunting down.
- Mangoes?!
- Yeah!
- Oh my goodness! I love them! Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em!!!
- You're silly! - he giggled at her cuteness.
The girl giggled while excitedly emptying the makeshift sack Taehyung put the fruits in. He just stood there, staring in admiration.
This was his life on the island. It started out as a tragedy, but now it's a complete paradise. Living in peace with his love and baby on the way. He lost his family, just to welcome a special someone in his life. He had to mature and leave his childhood behind too early, but he believes it was all worth it. He did all of it for his little girl.
That little girl, who knew very little about the world, was now in front of him, carrying his child with such grace, he couldn't imagine loving someone more than he loves his Y/n.
~
Why does this thing not fit me anymore? - she wondered.
No matter how hard she pulled on the soft material of her top, it wouldn't loosen. It was suffocating her.
She tried to ignore the stabbing pain in her chest and went on with her daily activities. She did some laundry, made herself a little snack out of coconuts and mangoes while Taehyung was away, and played with Yeontan.
Taehyung was still away when she noticed the two wet patches on the front of her top.
Where did these come from?
She took it off quickly and put another one on after cleaning herself up.
- Good evening, love! - she was greeted by the sweetest voice she knew on this planet. - How was your day?
She thought about that for a second. She felt embarrassed because of what happened earlier that day. Should she tell him about the patches on her top? Was it something to worry about? She was in a precious state, after all. Taehyung explained to her all the possible complications a woman can experience during their pregnancy. She was scared, frightened even. She didn't want her baby to live through that. She loved her baby.
So it was obvious she should tell her partner about what happened, to make sure it was nothing to worry about and her baby was okay.
- Taehyung… - she coughed in an attempt to disguise her embarrassment. – So… today my top felt really… tight around my chest and then there were two wet patches on the material. I-Is our baby alright?
The boy standing in front of her smiled and immediately understood what was going on.
- My love, - he stepped closer setting one hand on top of her growing bump and the other around her waist to pull her closer. - I forgot to tell you about this, but around this time women start producing milk for their babies. There are some different stages to this and I'm not even sure myself but that's a beautiful thing and I'm so happy we got to this point.
- So… I'm making milk in my... - he asked with a small voice.
- Mhmm… - he smiled. - But cheer up, my darling! - he stroked her cheek as he saw mixed emotions in her eyes. - This is good and it's only natural! Isn't it amazing how your body is doing that for our child? It's preparing itself for when he or she is born.
The girl smiled.
- Yes, it's amazing!
~
Deep sound of drums, rocks being thrown, sticks smacked together. The deep voices of strange humans.
Rain was pouring, but it was clear...
The island has new visitors. And they weren't up to anything good.
A loud scream, a heavy object falling to the floor with a muffled thud and rolling away.
Then there was silence, which was only crushed by the continuous sound of flesh being ripped apart and the faint noise of fire.
~
- Oh my God!
- Are you okay?! - Taehyung sat up in bed with urgency.
When he didn't hear a response, he reached for her in the dark in an attempt to calm her.
- I… I felt something! - her voice was laced with worry.
- Tell me…
- I'm not sure… I-I felt like... Like a push against my skin from the inside. It's scary, Tae!
- Does it hurt?
- No, but… what is this Tae? I don't like it…
The boy placed his big palms on either side of the girl’s tummy. He left it there for a while until he felt it too…  A soft little push against his hands, one on each side. Must have been a foot, a knee, an elbow, or a tiny little hand but it didn't matter. It was beautiful either way and the best feeling in the world.
- Love... I think… our baby! That's our baby! – he exclaimed happily.
- Our baby?
- Yes, our baby is kicking! Isn't it beautiful? – he sighed in ave.
- Wow! This… this is amazing!
It wasn’t scary or unpleasant anymore. She felt ecstatic.
They sat there, in a room filled with joyful giggles, as the precious creature within the girl sent its first signs of communication to the outside world. If only time can stop! They wished to be frozen in that moment then and there.
~
- Wow... This feels amazing! - she sighed as she submerged her body further in the water. - It takes so much pressure off my back.
- I'm glad, my love! - he smiled and kissed the crown of her head. - There it is, hold onto me, sweetheart.
He slowly lowered her into the ocean, but left his arm around her body. Taehyung has become extremely protective over Y/n ever since she had trouble breathing, rubbed her back with a deep groan and randomly placed a hand onto the bottom of the protruding bump even after the simplest activities she did throughout the day. Of course, he noticed these small signs or the girl's disconfort without her having to tell him anything, and now he was determined to make it all better.
- Is the water okay? Isn't it too cold?
- Tae... - she giggled. - Calm down, its perfect. Feels amazing.
- Alright then.
They shared a passionate kiss, surrounded by the waves and singing birds. The whole scene was more then idyllic. Anyone judging from outside would envy their lives. It was a real paradise there.
Taehyung's mind was never at ease though.
Ever since those strange men came to the island and ate that girl, he didn't even dare to leave Y/n alone. He barely slept, always had both ears focused on their surroundings.
He kept it all to himself and it was slowly eating him up from the inside. But there was no way he could tell Y/n about there concerns. He remembered his father tell him not to make mama mad when she had her sisters in her belly. She needed to stay away from stress. So that's why he swore to keep his girl calm.
- What's on your mind, love? - her sweet voice ripped him away from his trans.
- Nothing serious, don't worry. - he smiled.
- I can see there's something up.
The girls felt something was wrong and instantly became concerned. She slipped away from the boy's arms so she could look into his eyes from across.
- Tell me.
It was simple amd a bit demanding. Taehyung new he had to think of something. He wasn't going to worry you with this.
- I was just wondering when I should go for a hunt. We are running out of food but you're too far along for me to leave you on your own.
- Was this the thing bothering you? - she chuckled. - You are babying me too much! I'll be okay for a few hours.
- I know but just want to make sure. You now, one of my aunts lost their baby because she fell and lost her consciousness, and because nobody was at home she was left there bleeding for long hours. They couldn't save the baby.
That's when he caught a single tear roll down the girl's cheek.
- Baby? Are you okay? Hurt?
- I don't want to lose my baby! - she sniffles.
- You won't, love, you won't. It was and accident many years ago. They had a long flight of stairs. We don't have stairs to fall off of.
- We have ladders though.
- Well I already forbade you to go on those... Even moved our bed to the first floor.
That's right.
- And I'm not leaving you anyway.
- And who is going to hunt?
- We can go fishing together. - he suggested. - Or collect some berries and fruits. - he paused. - We won't go too far into the woods though.
- Why?
Because of the men.
- I don't want you to walk that much.
- W-would that... kill the b-baby? - she hesitated.
- No, it's just that... Well, mom went into labor early with the twins because she wasn't well rested. I don't want that to happen to you too.
- Oh... Okay! - she smiled after thinking about what she'd just heard. - I'll rest a lot then.
Taehyung smiled back and kissed her head.
- When will I give birth? - she asked after a while.
- I don't know. Honestly. Mom had appointments with the doctor. I went to a few too. It was so cool, Y/n!
The girl listened with adoration. The boy was recalling these old memories with so much joy, it made her happy too. He surely misses his family. She does too.
- Imagine! We could see my sisters while they were in the belly!
- Wow! - she gasped. - Can we do that too?
- Oh... Unfortunately not, because at the doctor's they had all sorts of modern machines. I think the one he used on mom was called an ultrasong? I'm not sure though.
- That's fine. We'll just see them when they're born.
- That's right, love!
~
- Are you okay?
- Yes, Tae! Why wouldn't I be?
- We've been walking for so long...
She chuckled.
- Calm down! I'm perfectly fine. I just want to show you that pretty place where there are many fish.
- Okay, just... make sure to tell me if you get tired.
It would have been clear to anybody that she had trouble walking. Her large belly was beginning to hang lower than it had been in the last 2 months. The baby had dropped, and Taehyung knew exactly what that meant. The baby was coming soon.
But at the same time he didn't want to make her nervous. He had tried to explain a few things he knew about childbirth from when her mother had home births. She seemed worried whenever he talked about contractions or dilation. And he didn't want to scare her with the idea of having to go through that soon.
And besides... this was different. Her mother had the help of either doctors, midwife or a doula. Y/n, on the other hand, had no one else rather than him. And even though he witnessed most of his sister's birth, he new very little about the whole thing.
He too was scared.
- Here. Isn't it beautiful? - she stopped to lean against the boy's body, clearly exhausted.
- It truly is, baby. - he peccked her head. - But its time for you to sit down a bit, okay?
- Alright.
He helped her down on a sturdy-looking rock on the beach. As she sat she felt great pressure on her lap, between her thighs.
- Baby is getting quite heavy, not gonna lie. - she giggled through her shaky breaths.
- Oh, sweetheart! Here.
With that he stepped over the rock with one leg to sit behind her. As he lowered himself, he slipped both hands under her bump, so it wasn't in contact with her thighs, and gently lifted it, so the weight of his baby, the amniotic fluid it was in and, and thier placenta was all on him.
It is very heavy. - he noted.
If it was even possible, he started to appreciate everything Y/n has been enduring while growing their child even more. And she walked all the way here, carrying thins massive cargo?! His hands were already getting tired even from just holding it for a minute.
- Oh my...! T-thank you! This f-feels amazing! - she panted.
- Anything for you, my love! Anything.
They were sitting like that for quite a while. Taehyung's hands were nearly killing him. His muscles were begging for a break. But at the same time he knew this was the least he could do. And the sight of his love rested against his chest with a satisfied smile on her face made it all worth it.
- Thank you Tae! - she sat up a bit. - You can put it down now.
- No, I've got you, don't worry!
- I can tell you are tired. Your hands are shaking.
- Baby, you carry all this around all day, and have been for months now. You're not allowed breaks. This is the least I can do.
- Seriously, it's okay. I'm used to it. - she laughed with a slight bitterness in her voice. - Let's go fishing! - she added.
In about two hours they were satisfied with the amount of fish they captured, so the man packed up their things and took everything out of the girl's hand.
- Hey! - she whined. - I can carry that.
- You just carry our baby, okay?
Y/n huffed, but new she couldn't object.
That's how they made their way home, where Taehyung immediately got to cooking the fish they got. He made sure it was well cooked. That's what he remembered from his mother after all.
-Love, ... - Y/n began in a muffled voice.
- Yes?
- I... uhm... I d-don't really feel like eating this right now. I'm so sorry.
- Oh, you don't have to be sorry, lovely. It's okay if you don't want it.
- It's just that I don't want it to go to waste.
- Don't worry about it, it won't. I'll eat it, or give some to Yeontan.
- Are you sure? - she asked. - I-
- What do you feel like eating?
- Maybe... coconut or bananas.
- That's all?
- Yeah... I'm not very hungry.
The boy got up in a second and brought exactly what Y/n told him about from their little storage. He opened up the coconut for her and even peeled the banana.
- Here, baby.
- Thank you! - she shined a wonderful smile to him. - I love you.
Taehyung was a bit worried about her not eating much. Didn't she need more food now that she was so close to giving birth?
Truth to be told, the baby was getting a bit too big in there for her to be comfortable. The space in her stomach was taken up by the precious creature in her womb, so there was not much left fot the food. But it's okay. Taehyung was worried about the pregnancy. He saw his mother go through it with all that medical help, the babies were regularly monitored and his mother was often checked over. Here, though, they were on their own and had no idea what was going on behind the skin of the girl's stomach.
- Let's go inside, it's getting late. - he offered after both of them finished their meal.
- It's not that late and I'm not very tired yet. - she looked at his stiff posture. - Are you? You can go ahead, I'd like to stay out here a bit.
- No! - his tone was terrifyingly demanding. - You are not staying out here.
- Stop that! I already told you I am not a child you could boss around.
- But you are carrying mine! That's my child in your stomach, or did you forget? - he
- Taehyung! I'm pregnant, not made out of glass!
- I get that, but don't you understand, I want this baby healthy, and the delivery to be smooth. And you-
- Just because I'm sitting at the beach it doesn't mean the delivery won't be smooth.
- You need to rest!
Luckily he calmed down enough to think rational, and his voice calmed down too. He didn't want to tell her about those people that have been coming to their island every few weeks, and haven't been up to any good, obviously. It was a miracle Y/n slept through all the noise.
He couldn't risk having his love all alone and being kidnapped and killed by those strangers.
- What's going on, Taetae?
- I'm just worried, you know... I want you to be okay.
Y/n crawled to the boy, clearly with major difficulties because of her bump. She sat in his lap so that she was facing him. The cracking bonfire lit half of their faces and some of the palm trees behind the house. Furthermore, the calming sound of waves crashing and the gentle kicks of their baby, coming from her rounded tummy against his flat one, made the moment idyllic.
- Taetae... I'm okay, I promise. I know you're worried. I am too... I want our baby to be healthy too. But you have to stop treating me like a dependent child, okay? I'm so grateful for all you've been doing for me. Your love, patience and unselfishness.
- I'll try, I promise.
Their baby made another movement and it casted loving smiles on both of the olders' faces.
- Thank you, love you.
- Love you more!
- Impossible...
~
The sun was barely up on the morning sky, Taehyung was already woken by the tiny dog. Its loud barks were impossible to ignore.
The man groaned.
- Tannie? What is it little one?
- Woof, woof! - the barks wouldn't stop.
Taehyung looked to his right where the precious pregnant girl should've been sleeping.
- Y/n? - he jumped up. - Y/n?!?!
Pure panic flooded his mind and body. Where was she?
- Y/N?!?
He urgently ran around the house, the beach and the front of the forest.
After a few minutes of searching, he realized that Yeontan was trying to tell him something and lead him the right way.
- Woofff!!
And he ran off into the woods, looking behind him once in a while to make sure his human was following him.
After some time of running in the woods he was led to a dark cave. The pup stopped at the entrance. He didn't dare to enter. Taehyung, however, had no hesitation.
- Y/n? - he whisper shouted. He was terrified too.
- Tae... - the girl's faint voice sounded.
- Y/n! I'm here, love! Almost there.
A horrified looked spread across his face as she came into his view. She was tied down by all of her limbs, her skin irritated and bloody where the ropes touched. Her hair dishevelled from all the tossing and turning.
But the most terrifying detail was the wet patch under her bum.
- Tae, help! - she cried.
- I-I've got you.
He struggled to undo the knots, but as soon as he did he gently lifted the girl into the air and headed towards the exit with her pressed firmly but softly against his chest. It seemed to him as if her body could break any second with how fragile it was. He could feel her bump against his stomach. There was something different about it... it was soft before, now it's rock hard.
Just as he realized this, a whimper came from the girl's mouth.
- It hurts...
- I k-know, I'm sorry... - he mumbled. - We'll be home in a few minutes, I promise.
Outside he was met with a worried-looking puppy.
- It's okay, Tannie! Mamma's here, she's going to be okay.
- Wooof!
He was desperately trying to warn them about something.
And that something happened to stand right next to the cave, observing the pair with wide eves.
What could that big bulge be on the woman's stomach? - it wondered. - It was soft, but then hard when I pressed it...
It wasn't done with it's little experiment just yet.
He was going to have to figure out more next time...
~
- Deep breaths, love. Right there! You're doing so, so good!
- Why was I there?! - she whispered after the contraction subsided.
- I don't know...
- I was tied down! Tae? Was it you?!
- No! No, why would've I done that?
- Why was I tied down like that? I... Are there others living on the island?
The boy thought back to that night with all that shouting and screaming. He was petrified that something like this would happen. He tried to prevent it as best as he could, he made sure Y/n was never out of his sight, but his attempts seemed useless.
And now the girl was horrified and in labor. The worst combination...
What have they done to her?! Was it their fault she went into labor? True, she was already really far into her pregnancy, but still. There must have been something that has triggered it. Live with his mother. Once she went on a long walk with his father and she went into labor a few hour later... Of course he wasn't an expert, so he was full of questions.
Just like that, the girl was hit with another tightening in her abdomen. She curled in a ball around her stomach. Taehyung tried remembering all the thing his father did to his mother while laboring. He rubbed her back, thighs, arms... So he did just that.
But he felt utterly useless. Something he didn't expect, as he was sure he was going to be of at least some help when the time came, because of all the knowledge and experience he gathered during his sister's births.
- Tell me what I can do... - he whisper in desperation.
- Ugh... I... I d-don't know.
- Some water maybe? - he tried.
- Okay.
He reluctantly left her for a few seconds to bring her water from thier cans. He used a little homemade cup for that. He knew it was her favorite, because she has been using it all the time, ever since she got it from him as a gift for her 16th birthday. The little painting of the two of them and their sweet puppy became a bit shabby, but she loved it anyway.
- Thank you. - she said as he handed it to her.
- Slow sips, lovely.
She listened and finished the cup rather slowly, as requested.
- How are you feeling? - he asked while taking the cup away.
- Uhm... I... I'm so scared, Tae.
- I know, Y/n, but think about how we are going to have our little baby with us in a few hours! Isn't that just magical?
- A few hours?! I can't, Tae... This is too much already.
The boy was devastated. One of his worst nightmares was seeing his love in pain. And not being able to do anything against it made it even worse.
What should I do?
Luckily Y/n's instincts kicked in pretty quickly. She got into positions that helped momentarily with the pain, or enabled easier breathing. She was on all fours most of the time.
They didn't have a great sense of time on the island, however, it was clear that the contractions were getting closer and closer together. Her abdomen tightened around her struggling womb, which was filled with a due baby.
At one point, the girl had a sudden gush of blood squeezed out of her, which scared her, but Taehyung remembered this bit from the past. It was her bloody show, but the exact name didn't come to his mind.
What was important was that all of these changes lead them closer to their baby's arrival.
- Make it stop! Make it stop! MAKE IT STOOOP!!!
At her ear-piercing scream he could only envelope her deeper into his embrace. He caressed her tummy with loving hands, but frowned at the feeling of his baby being so wrestles inside its mother.
So he leaned closer to the bump.
- Baby, calm down please, okay? You're hurting mamma more than necessary.
At that the wrestles little creature calmed down significantly, and Y/n was left only with soft wiggles here and there. That, however, didn't change the fact that her contractions were unbearable. Only thi final birth of the child would bring that to an end.
- Should I check the water now? - he asked referring to the huge jug of water he placed on the hot rockt on the burning sun, in hopes of heating it up and ending up with warm water to be used for some kind of pain relief.
- Okay...
He was quick to bring the jug inside.
- It's nice and warm. - he announced.
He grabbed a cloth and soaked it in the water. He spread the warm material across Y/n's belly, which calmed the baby down even more
- How does that feel, sweetheart?
- Oh my God, Tae! It's so amazing. You're a genius!
- No, you are a warrior. The strongest woman on this island.
They chuckled.
- Hey! I'm the only woman on this island... - she slapped his hand jokingly.
Well maybe you aren't...
- I know! I was kidding.
More then an hour passed with them chatting away, breathing through contractions, and Taehyung redipping the washcloth in the warm water to reapply it on the belly. It meant great comfort to her, so the boy, for the first time since she started laboring, felt proud of himself. He felt useful, because he managed to relief a tiny bit of her pain with one of his ideas.
He wished it could stay that way.
But once her stomach sized with the roughest contraction yet, all hell broke loose again. The skin of her bump turned angry red and was so tight Taehyung could almost see the outline of their baby's body through all the layers it was tucked under.
Suddenly she leaned over the edge of the bed and threw up the contest of her stomach, which wasn't much to begin with, seeing as she had barely eaten anything that day. She was mostly dry heaving, which, for her, was even more unpleasant.
- It's okay, I've got you! Let it all out! There it is, good job!
He rubbed her back, not caring that some of the vomit landed on his leg.
- Oh my... Tae, I'm so sorry! - she apologized embarrassed, once she finished and realized what had happened.
- No, no, love. There's nothing to apologize for! - he handed her some more water to rehydrate her. - Here, drink this, then lay back. I'll clean this up while you do that, okay?
Y/n rinsed the bad taste from her mouth, and laid back just as another contraction crept up.
- Ugh, God...
She had a death grip on the sheets, her knuckles were turning white.
- I'm here, I'm here! - Taehyung was quickly back on her side.
He changed the hot cloth on her stomach and pulled out another one, this time ice cold, to dab it on her sweaty forehead.
- My back, my back, my back! - she shouted in pure agony.
The boy didn't waist a second. He positioned himself behind her on the bed so he could rub soothing circles into her lower back.
- Is this helping, Y/n?
- Mhm... yeah... - she sighed. - Wow, this is so good! Thank you!
- This is the least I can do.
Taehyung felt useless, Y/n, on the other hand, found great comfort in his presence and all the little things he did. She felt supported, and that helped her calm a little.
They had thousands of conversations about what to expect towards the end of the pregnancy, the boy explained the stages of labor, at least the ones he could remember, but nothing could quite prepare Y/n for what she was feeling at that moment. Both physically and mentally. She had a faint idea about the pain, but this was much, much worse than what she had imagined.
- Oh... - she huffed. - I need to get up.
- Okay, here, hold onto me.
He wrapped her arms around his neck and made sure she held onto him securely before lifting her up into a standing position.
Suddenly, a restless dog appeared in the doorway. He was worried about his momma. He could tell hiw much she was struggling.
- Can we go for a walk? - she asked.
- You sure?
- Yeah... I don't know, it just sounds good right now.
- Of course, I get it. - he kissed her pouty lips. - Come on. Slow steps!
- Woof!
- Tannie! Are you coming with us for a walk too? - she laughed lightheartedly.
- Woof!!
- I take that as a yes!
They walked on the beach, letting the waves wash against their feet. The puppy was running back and forth, avoiding getting wet, but wanting to stay close to the pregnant girl. Taehyung had a strong, supportive arm around the girl's waist. He actually tried to lift some of her and the baby's weight off of her, so she didn't have a hard time walking.
While on their walk, Taehyung counted seven contractions. They were really close... One every few steps.
- Should we head back? - he began.
- Okay.
Despite Taehyung's calming presence, Y/n was still terrified, and the boy could clearly tell that by the stern face she kept in-between the pains.
Suddenly, she collapsed into his side. Luckily he caught her, but she wasn't able to get back on her feet.
- Y/n?! - he worried while gathering her tired body into his arms.
- Woof!
- I'm okay... - she tried to be reassuring, but failed as her face went pale.
- Y/n don't close your eyes, please!
- Wooof! - the pup ran infront of them.
He quickened his steps, but was still making sure he didn't shake her too much. They hadn't gone very far from their hous, it was still visible from where he stood with her against his chest.
His quickened heartbeat calmed her, almost lulled her to sleep.
- No, no, Y/n! Keep them open!
- Okay... - she breathed. - Tae... I can't. I-
- Yes you can! Just keep breathing's okay? Everything's going to be alright.
Once home, he laid her exhausted form back on the bed. Yeontan, horrified, hid in the corner. The boy didn't know what to do. Her state scared him. When her mother was in labor with his twin sisters, she had to have an emergency C-section after she went this pale and Taehyung with her big sister was taken away from his mother into the waitingroom. But she was under the supervision of experienced doctors and nurses, who knew exactly what to do.
They were alone...
- Tae... What's happening?
- You're okay. - that was all he could say.
Perhaps he was trying to convince himself. He wasn't so sure anymore.
- Theres so much pressure! Tae! TAE!!!
A big force urged her muscles around her uterus to clench, to which she bore down with all her strength.
- There you go, Y/n! Perfect! You are pushing.
- Grrrrr..... Uhh. I need to... I nee-
She gave another big push against her will. It was her body's reflex. Like the sudden urge tu change positions and get into a low squat. She did exactly that. Her belly was now hanging low between her open legs, the boy could clearly see how red the underside of it was even from behind.
- Okay, love, I am going to try and feel if the baby's close. Are you okay with that? - he asked, just to make sure she wasn't uncomfortable with the idea.
He didn't want to scare her with his sudden action.
- D-do what y-you have to, T-Tae... - she panted in response.
- Alright, here we go.
He slowly reached to her opening and sure enough he felt a slimy, teardrop shaped something against his finders. He assumed it was the baby's head.
From his position behind her, he reached over her left thigh with his other hand to caress the top of the bump. It was rock hard.
- Can you give me another push, sweetheart?
- Ugh... I'll try.
With that, she bore down once again, this time her actions were in her control.
Taehyung could feel the head emerge ever further than before.
- It burns! I can't!
- I'm so sorry, Y/n, so sorry, love! But try to push through the burn, for the baby, for me.
- Baby...
- That's right, our baby is almost here. You just need to help them come out, okay? I know you can!
After two more big pushes the head was out, it straight out popped in the boy's palm. He leaned down to take a look. He was met with his baby's scrunched up face which was slimy and covered in gunk, but it was his never the less. His and the love of his life's.
- Our baby is almost here! Come on, lovely, just a bit more!
- TAE! OW... I CAN'T, I CAN'T!!! - she screamed.
- That's it! The shoulders are almost out, it's smooth sailing after that!
And with one last push and a heart-wrenching scream, the beautiful, crying baby slipped into its father's hands.
- A girl!
- Girl?
Y/n panted and turned around in her position on the floor. Taehyung held his daughter securely in one arm and lifted the girl onto the bed, so she wasn't sitting on the dirty floor just after giving birth.
- Let me hold her. - she requested with tears in her eyes.
But these tears were no longer the result of pain or agony. They were out of pure joy.
- Oh yeah, sorry. - he sobbed too. - Here.
The tiny body was gently placed on her chest. The boy was quick to cover their bodies with the blanket, which was now stained with a bit of blood and other fluids, but that didn't matter. It could get quite windy on shore and the bamboo walls let through most of it.
- Tae! Our little girl! So tiny...
- Our little girl! I think she's perfect. The rigth weight and size.
- I know, she just felt so much heavier when she was inside my tummy...
- Well it wasn't just her in there. There was the p-pla... plac-something too. A-and the water... And a few more things, or I don't know...
- Oh, okay. But she's perfect, and healthy. That's what's important!
- Exactly!
They sat together and admired their small creation. Her delicate hands, which flew around between her parents, even slapping the boy in the face on accident. It made them both laugh, and coo at their daughter.
She is so precious.
Taehyung thought back to when his sisters were born. He was so happy then, but now he was ecstatic!
- Tae... I-I feel... - Y/n suddenly groaned.
- What's wrong? - he looked at her with worry.
- I have to-
She quickly but carefully handed the little bundle over to the boy who was taken aback by her sudden actions. She crawled out of bed and got into the squatting position she was in before.
- What is happening?
She couldn't answer. She gave a.few small pushed and a slimy tud was heard. She looked down. The sight disgusted her and because of that a gasp left her lips.
- Ew!
The boy looked at it too. He thought for a second.
- Wow! - he didn't feel disgusted about it. - I think this is that plac-thing. This used to protect and nourish our little girl.
It couldn't have been disgusting for him... How could it be when this was something that kept his girl well fed all the time. The thing that was the baby's blood and oxygen supply.
- Oh... Uhm... Well what do we do with it?
- I take care of that, don't worry. Get back to bed.
- I want to wash myself. Can I?
- Of course, you can! I think the water cooled down to a great temperature.
He picked up the washcloth he used on her belly earlier and threw it over his shoulder. That's how they went outside, with their lovely baby girl in Taehyung's right arm and his left around Y/n's waist to support her as they walked.
After Y/n cleaned herself with the warm freshwater, both of their attention shifted to the baby, who had calmed down and was suckling on her father's finger.
- Oh, baby! I think she's hungry. - he stated.
- Yeah... And how do I take the milk out of my breasts?
- I-I'll explain once we bathed her.
Y/n took the cloth from Taehyung's shoulder and dipped it into the water. She cleaned off all the gunk from birth with cautious wipes.
- Can I hand her to you for a second? I'll be right back. - he asked suddenly.
- Of course!
She was filled with so much love towards her girl, she couldn't help but place tiny kisses on her tiny forehead as she finished cleaning her off.
The boy, who was busy with cleaning up the birth scene and burying the plac-thing in the woods, returned to them.
- My girls! - he beamed while smiling.
He helped them dry off and lead them back to their house.
- Lay down, love. And you'll feed our girl, okay?
- How do I do that?
- So... You just put her on your chest. Like this.
He showed her just how, and guided the baby's head to her nipple.
- Can you... Squeeze it a bit?
- My... my nipple?
Her face burned red with embarrassment.
- Yeah... But gently!
She did so, but winced at the stabbing sensation that shot through her breast.
- Careful!
- Ow... What was that.
- It's expected to be a bit sore, I think. But see that?
He asked pointing to the light yellow drop that rolled down the curve of her breast.
- That is your milk, sweetheart! And the baby will smell it...
Just on que, the tiny girl turned her head and latched onto her mother's nipple. She began suckling the delicious liquid out of it.
- See! - Taehyung smiled proudly.
- But it hurts... - she pouted.
- Oh, my love... I'm sorry. I don't know how to make it stop... Maybe you'll get used to it.
- Ugh... I hope.
But it was okay, because her girl was getting the nutritions she needed and she would endure every pain for her. Hell, she would even go through labor again fer their baby!
- We should name her, no? - she said.
- What do you have in mind?
- Umm... I don't really know. You?
- How about Emma?
- Woof!
The puppy, who was scrunched up in the corner for the past hour and something, got closer to the trio. He couldn't see over the bedframe, though.
-Woof?
- Aww, Tannie!
With that Taehyung lifted the pup's tiny body up and rested him against his chest.
- See, that's your sissy. - he began. - Baby... Emma? Do you like it, Y/n?
- It sounds beautiful! I love it! - she looked back down at their daughter.
- Emma it is then!
- Hello, little Emma! - she giggled at her feeding girl.
All tree pairs of eyes were on the suckling little body. They couldn't get enough of the sight.
- Hi, my precious baby! Baby Emma. Sounds magical.
- Mhm... It does.
- Are you tired, love?
- A bit, yeah... - she yawned. - Can I take a nap after she's done?
- Of course! A very long, long nap indeed. You deserve it, lovely.
- Thank you Tae. For everything.
- I did nothing, Y/n...
- You did so much! You are the reason I could get through with it. I felt like giving up.
- You are the strongest woman on this island. - he said, wanting to shift the mood, as he wasn't good at taking the compliment.
- Don't start! - she laughed.
- Kidding! - he chuckled too. - You are the strongest woman on this planet.
And with a kiss to the crown of her head, she fell into a deep slumber.
Taehyung smiled at the sight. He put the puppy down on the bed, who immediately padded over to the sleeping girl and curled up by her side. The dog sniffed her stomach and neck. He could tell something was different about her. Not just the fact that there wasn't a bump anymore, but her smell changed too. It changed back to the sweet sent she had so many months ago. He loved it.
Meanwhile, Taehyung took Emma out of her momma's arms. He covered her exposed chest with the blanked and walked to the other side of the small room with the baby in his hand.
- My little baby! - he whispered. - I know you have a name, Emma, but I still need to get used to it, so bare with me, please!
He chuckled.
The boy placed his tiny child in the small baby bassinet he made while she was still in Y/n's stomach. He grabbed a brand new cloth from their drawer. He attemped to make a diaper on her little bum. It wasn't perfect, but will do...
- You can sleep now too, if you want. Let's give mamma some time to rest. She workd to hard and long to get you here.
Emma let out an adorable babble at that.
- I know. - the boy giggled quietly. - You worked hard too.
He leaned down to kiss her head and as he straighten back up she was already fast asleep. He smiled at that.
Perfect! - he thought as he looked around the quiet room.
His daughter in her makeshift bassinet, his love on the bed, with the puppy at her tummy. All sound asleep. Was there anything better than that?
He couldn't be one hundred percent calm, though... Not until those men were on their island.
~
2 years later
There's no bulge anymore...
The man remembered the time she was in his cave all those years ago. With that big, rigid belly.
He remembered how when he pressed down on it that watery liquid poured from her legs.
I want to try that again!
But the beautiful woman's stomach was completely flat now... Would it still work?
What the...?
- Mamma! - a high-pitched voice could be heard from afar. - Look, look! A shell on a tuwtuw!
- A turtle! Good job Emma!
The man inspected the little creature from behind the trees.
It would cook qiukly...
I'm getting hungry anyway.
~
- Let's check on Dadda! What do you say? - Y/n asked her daughter.
- Owkay!
- Put back the turtle where you found it, Emma!
- I want to keep him, Ma!
- You have to put him back, or he won't live long.
- Oh... mkay... - the little girl pouted, but obeyed.
Her brunette locks bounced up and down as she padded in the shallow water.
- C'mon! - Y/n held her hand out for the little girl.
She grabbed it and ran with her mother towards their home.
As they neared the house, Taehyung jumped out from behind it with a dagger-like weapon in his hand ready to use. He was also in an attacking position.
- Oh my God, Tae? What's wrong with you?
- Oh, sorry... I...
- What's all this, Dadda? - the girl asked pointing to the strange ropes around their place.
- It's just to keep bad people away.
- Bad people? But we are the only ones here...
- Then whoever comes to the island.
- But won't that mean we have a chance to get back to civilization?
Taehyung looked from Y/n to his daughter with wondering eyes.
- Tae? Don't you want to get back one day?
- I-I... I'm not sure anymore.
- Why's that?
Emma let go of her mother's hand. She was getting bored of her parents' conversation, she was much more interested in the sleeping puppy in the hot sand.
- We have such a great life here. I don't want to change that. All that worry about working, finaces, housing... We don't need it!
- But isn't that how life is supposed to work? Emma could go to school, make friends-
- She can get another sibling here...
- Yeah... She could. - she smiled.
The boy retured the smile and walked over to his love. He gathered her into his embrace and kissed her passionately.
- Don't we have a wonderful life as it is? - he murmured softly against her forehead.
- We do. I love you.
- I love you more. You and Emma.
- You, Emma and Tannie.
- That's right! You, Emma and Tannie.
~
He got up quietly and grabbed his dagger. He went back to their bed and leaned close to the pup's head.
It was late at night. Taehyung couldn't sleep. He watched his little family's peaceful form in the moonlight that was coming though the thin walls. It was full moon, but he didn't hear those strange people this time, as he does every month around this time. But he still had a weird feeling roaming inside his body.
- Yeontan, protect our girls, okay? Daddy's gonna come back, but you have to promise me they are safe with you!
His palm squeezed tightly against the handle of the dagger as he ran through the woods. He had flames in his eyes. Nobody can harm his family!
The puppy didn't budge, remained fast asleep on the bed, between the two girls. Taehyung exited the house, but didn't leave until he made sure the door was securely locked. Only he can know how to get inside! His whole world was in there.
His legs led him to that mysterious cave he found his pregnant Y/n in all those years ago. It was muscle memory. He felt danger there. He had to get rid of it for the sake of his family. For the safety of his girls!
He dragged the bloody body through the woods, to the opposite side of the island as where their house was. He reached the shore and threw the body in the water. He got inside himself, a bit disgusted by the blood pooling around him, but started swimming deep inside the ocean, all while pushing the body infront of him.
He slowed his steps as he neared the place. And sure enough, there he was. He was hit with strong deja vu as he stood infront of the entrance. He took quiet steps once inside. He felt the presence of someone unwanted in there. He was going to end this once and for all. And there is was. The dark skinned man was laying on the floor, asleep. Taehyung didn't hesitate. He raised his dagger and stapped it right through the man's chest, and with a loud and ugly groan, the life left his body.
Was he a bad person for this? He was just protecting his family... This man attacked his love, who knows what else he was up to?
Once he was satisfied with the distance, he gave the body one last push and swam back. In the shallow water he made sure his body was free of blood, which it was but it left a stain on his skin. Not on his skin, but in his whole being. It read: murderer.
~
He got home fairly quick and unlocked the door. The sun was beginning to peack from the horizon, but the girls and Yeontan were still asleep. Let them stay in their dreamland as long as needed. God, let them be guilt free their whole life!
3 years later
- And you just hang them up like this! See? Very easy.
- Wow! Thanks mommy! I can finally help with the dirty clothes too!
- Yes, my lovely girl, you can! - she kissed her head.
- Lets so and check what Dadda and Noah are up to, okay?
- Noey!!!
The girl cheered and ran in her brother's direction, forgetting her mother with the heavy basked the clothes were in.
- Silly. - the woman chuckled.
- Dadda! What is Noey doing?
- I'm teaching him how to swim, baby.
- Me too, me too!
With that she stripped herself from her clothes and ran through the waves to her father and brother.
- Mamma! Come too! - the little boy squealed.
- Comin'!
The woman threw her clothes in the sand too and joined the trio.
- Tannie too? - Emma asked.
- Tannie hates the water, Emma.
- Besides, he is a bit old now. - Taehyung continued.
It was right. The puppy, who was only a puppy in size, has aged enough for him to take great effort when running after the two lively kids. He wasn't like before... He was perfectly happy with laying in the cool shades and watching them go through their day. It was all he could do now.
The little boy and the slightly taller girl paddled together around their parents. Emma has become an excellent swimmer, and his brother, Noah was on the straight path to reach her level too.
- You look beautiful, my darling. - the man told Y/n while attaching her body to his.
- You don't look bad yourself, my love...
They giggled.
- I have some news for you. - she continued.
- You do?
- Mhmm...
She grabbed his large hand and placed it on her stomach under the water.
His eyes widened in realisation. He smoothed his palm over the slight, but definitely noticeable bump.
How could he have missed it?!
- Oh my... Baby! You have a baby in there?! - he grinned.
- I'm pretty sure.
- Love! That is magical! I can't believe it! I can't! Thank you.
He captured her lips between his and didn't pull away for long, long minutes.
His life was truely perfect. There was nothing more he could wish for. He had everything. His lovely Emma, Noah, his beautiful Y/n, and now...
...his precious little baby on the way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The end... Woow I had this in my drafts for months!!! But I finally finished and I'm so happy. Of course, I didn't check it, as usual... 😅 so I'm sorry for the mistakes... And it is looong. Oh my God... The longest oneshot I've ever written. But anyway... I hope you enjoy it. If you do, leave a comment or write me, because it always makes my day! ♥️♥️

The dance floor is alive, floating in the middle of this club while you and Jungkook are stuck by the bar, aiming to get two drinks but the queue is unbearable.
“Can’t believe I have to wait over thirty minutes to get drunk!” Jungkook complains, smacking himself lightly on the forehead.
“This is all your fault. I suggested we pre-party at my place, but you insisted on getting drunk here.” You roll your eyes when Jungkook pouts in apology.
“Well you’re the reason we’re here in the first place!” Jungkook exclaims, throwing both hands in the air. You scoff in offense, because he’s right. It’s because of you and your stupid feelings for the famous race car driver Kim Taehyung.
It hadn’t meant to happen, but after landing at the same afterparty three months ago, you ended up linking arms with him and tangling the sheets beneath you as he fucked you into oblivion.
The first time it happened it was easy to brush off. But then it happened again, and again and again…
Whenever either of you had some free time, you’d meet in the middle and hang out. Sure, you had sex all those times but you also cooked together, even wore Korean face masks as a cliché k-drama rolled on the TV-screen, the both of you cuddled under one blanket. The sudden shift in your ‘relationship’ caused feelings to bloom in your chest over the famous race car driver.
Jungkook was aware of your feelings and your stubborn self, already accepting it wasn’t reciprocated.
You want to get drunk immediately to forget everything about Taehyung. His smell, his body, his smile… But the bar seems to stop you from getting a wish to come true.
Which explains why you’re stuck in a long line with your best friend Jungkook, who has heard the name Kim Taehyung more often than his own.
“You know, you could just tell him you’re tired of this situationship and that you’re in love with him.” Jungkook says lowly but you manage to hear every word and you slap his chest in anger.
“Seriously?! Sure, let me just text him, ‘hey Taehyung, just wanted for you to know that I’m in love with you and I’m tired of waiting for a sign that tells me you feel the same way so—” You begin to ramble, shout even, unaware of how many have turned an eye in your direction.
“Y/N.” Jungkook says your name as a warning, but you’ve had enough.
“No! I’m serious, it’s unrequited, okay? Taehyung doesn’t love me.”
“I don’t?”
Jungkook’s eyes bulge out and you freeze in your spot.
Fuck, fuck and fuck.
You gulp down, slowly turning around. “Kim Taehyung, a pleasure to see you here!” You use a jokingly tone, swallowing down the embarrassment from your loud confession that he may or may not have heard, in a club of all places.
“You meant that? What you said earlier.” He’s keen on staying on that exact topic you’re trying to run from. Great.
“I—” Normally you’re a spectacular improviser, it’s a perk from being a runway model but fuck, you’re stuck on the spot and you blame the strong felt feelings for the man in front of you.
“If you meant what you said, then it is only right for me to say this.” Taehyung steps closer, brushing his lips on your ear before he whispers. “I’m in love with you.”
Your mouth drops at the confession, also forgetting Jungkook is standing behind you while this whole circus is happening.
“You—”
“I’ve always been.” He grabs your nape, the warm touch making your eyes close.
“Taehyung.” You grab his jaw, planting a kiss to his lips, overwhelmed by the reciprocated feelings.
It’s a club, meaning you and Taehyung kissing by the bar is more normal than if you were to do it in a restaurant.
You hear Jungkook clear his throat loudly, but you’re too busy kissing Taehyung and letting yourself feel what he feels for you.
It’s finally your turn to order, but you and Taehyung are barely done and Jungkook rolls his eyes before gaining the bartender’s attention.
“I’m going to need your strongest liquor.”
You grin against Taehyung’s mouth, ignoring your best friend's silly antics.
All ends well when you have the man of your dreams.

Tumblr media
A chill summer breeze wafts through the windows, cooling your otherwise sweltering bedroom… though a bead of sweat forms at your hairline, for your bare body still radiated heat.
The sudden air against your folds tickled, right while you’d been playing and feeling through and within them while lying atop the restricting cotton bedsheets, your other hand lost in the tangles of your own hair.
 “T-t-t….” you moan into the dimly lit room, imagining it’d been the hand of your brother’s best friend getting you close to the edge instead of your own. His name almost slips from your lips….
But the man himself storms into your room instead.
“Mr. Kim!” you screech, seeing him at your side at once. Quick to grab the pillow from beneath your hips and jerk the sheet below until it was free from its tidy dressing onto the mattress, you were unkemptly covered in seconds. “Get out!”
But Kim Taehyung still stood before you, head merely tilted downwards, waiting for you to properly wrap your bare body with the fabric. Tugging the thin sheet tightly at the back, you'd been oblivious to the fact that it outlined every curve and dip of your figure and truly, was all the more tantalizing to the man before you who'd been obviously failing his attempts not to steal glances at you through his periphery. It was unsurprising.
Taehyung had always been a menace. The boy never listened, never followed any rules except his own, and evidently never learned how to knock on another’s door.
It was no secret to your family that you'd been smitten with Taehyung, the neighbor’s only grandson, since childhood, long before he grew to be your brother's most trusted friend. He'd been your friend first, after all, until the two of you had come of age and society deemed such a friendship inappropriate with youthful, hurried engagements, infatuations, and hormone-riddled courtships running amuck...
It proved to be a lifelong infatuation that followed you into womanhood, and though the days spent picking flowers, reading fairy tales, and ‘make-believe teatime’ were long behind you, his friendship with your brother still kept Taehyung in your life, and you were as thankful for it as the fond, playful memories of your youth.
The sheer power of your own feelings only made itself apparent when he’d went away to begin his apprenticeship in France with no promise of an engagement or any indication of reciprocated feelings. Despite an initial sorrow, the longing had turned into an ache in your chest that seemed impossible to ignore, only slightly remedied by his occasional letters and gifts. It was a short-lived hope that he could still be yours. His return as society’s most eligible, handsome, and accomplished bachelor only made it harder to confess - for everyone fell under Taehyung's spell.
With rumors of his charming reputation and dedicated work in France swirling through society and countless men and women organizing courting arrangements before he'd even arrived a month ago, you thought to make haste with your confession, but your half-written love letters were ultimately kept away in the drawers right behind where he'd stood now, with the postcards, letters, and gifts he'd sent you over that time. And you'd spent all those nights with him away just as you had tonight, imagining he'd been there, in your very room, bare as you'd been right beside you... And it had to have happened as such.
“Oh, I apologize, Miss_____,” he says calmly, and the hint of a smirk appears on his face before he turns to face away from you, “But I’m here on orders of your dear mother. You’re, uhm, expected?”
Fuck. You lost track of time.
“Should I tell her you’re not feeling well?”
“No. No, I have to be there, sir. I’m expected to make at least one possible match tonight,” you panic, slithering into the undergarments you’d discarded by the bed earlier. Too hasty to feel shame, and, for the first time, thankful that women’s undergarments cover more than they ever should, you march to the wooden partition, only for your corset to be in Taehyung’s hands.
“Allow me to help,” he offers with a smile. “Your sisters are furious at your being late already, and well, I’m the only one who won’t give you an earful.”
You resign, stepping between Taehyung and the mirror and readying yourself into the corset. Looking at your reflection, you could see your figure and breasts through the sheer chemise with ease…. Practically as naked as you had been. And the man you’d who held your corset and your affection in his hands was staring at the same image with a blank expression on his face.
“This is absolutely humiliating,” you groan, inhaling as he pulls the strings of your corset. Your breasts rise above, forming a perfect, heaving cleavage that remains there, perfectly shaped, as your torso is pulled back…. But only ever so slightly. This was new…. comfortable, and…. just as shapely and alluring. A miracle.
“….It fits well and isn’t as tight as when the girls do it… you have practice, I assume, tying women’s corsets?” you say, taking in your reflection and silently wondering if the man behind you stole another glimpse before he swiftly tied the knot at your back - or if you’d compared to the beauties he must’ve courted in Paris.
Tutting, he ignores the question. His fingers remain at your back, playing with the strings he’d just tied together before tracing your corset's hem. You don't push his hands away when he continues to trace the boning to where it lies below your breast, until his long, elegant fingers ghost your stomach and he pulls his hand away.
It’s only when he steps backward that you exhale comfortably, highly unusual in such a corset, and in the reflection, you see Taehyung grab the dress you were due to wear from its hook behind the partition that enclosed you. He hands it to you without a word from where he stood at your back and with his help, you quickly step into the silky dress, and he ties it up just the same.
The color of the dress allowed your skin to shine as brightly as the rhinestones that adorned it, laid perfectly across your breasts and capsleeves…. Admiring them so, you remember the accompanying jewelry you’d prepared for the evening, a dainty set of earrings, which you put on in a millisecond, and its matching necklace.
“Allow me,” Taehyung says in a hush from behind you, tracing down your arm until he reaches the necklace in the palm of your hand. He brushes your hair to the side, the gentle graze of his fingertips sending chills down your spine as he works away at the lock.
“There”, he says, close enough for you to feel the breath of the word at your nape.
Thankful his gaze was fixated there, chilling as it may be, you quickly attempt to hide your heavy breathing and the rise and fall of your chest by working away at your hair, braiding and pinning it in minutes until you looked like every other 'hopeful' bachelorette.
With a dazzling look and the event kicking off the society’s courting season… you were sure to catch the wild eyes of plenty of eligible bachelors, much to your chagrin. You were at an appropriate age to be wed, let alone courted…. but it was clear that you could never feel about a man what you felt for Taehyung. Every other dead-end meeting your mother had set up in the time he’d been away proved that fact and only frustrated her further, especially when you’d turned down both of Taehyung’s now-married cousins, the highly educated and well-off brothers Namjoon and Seokjin. ‘Artistic boys get you nowhere,’ she’d said, trying to secure your future despite having a soft spot for Taehyung herself.
Now, in the mirror, you could see. Lust. Love. Trust. Humiliation. Your own sinful desire reflected back at you, along with Taehyung's striking side profile. Disregarding the mirror altogether, he had his head turned towards you, surely close enough to smell the rosy scent on your skin, on which you'd continuously felt his warm breathing.
“You look ravishing,” he finally mutters. “You looked beautiful even then.”
“Even then?”
“Before France…” he whispers, toying with the silky fabric at your shoulders. “And tonight....before this…. Especially before this.”
You finally break your own gaze, turning to face him and allowing your nose to brush against his, noting his floral scent… daisies specifically… the kind you’d always play with…. With a hint of some French cologne… The person you always knew, and the man he came to be…
“Any man would be lucky to dance with you.”
“It is not any man that I would wait for. It is not any man that I want…” you whisper, taking Taehyung’s hand and placing it on your waist. But his hand moves, quick to wrap around you and pull your body right against his.
“And what is it that you want so badly?”
Taehyung’s head tilts as his gaze fixates on a spot on your neck, biting at his lower lip and ready to do the same to your exposed skin. His lips meet your neck….
And a loud knock is heard on your door.
“_____, mother is waiting!” you hear through the door. “We’re all waiting. What’s taking you so long? Should I help with the corset?”
Oh… Right.
The two of you exhale against each other, Taehyung’s breath warmer than it had been…. even nicer. But he pulls away, ever so slightly.
“No! No, did that myself. A minute more,” you say, loud enough for your little sister to hear through the door.
“You did your own corset? Strange. Well, do you have any idea where Tae is? None of us can find him after mother sent him up here, and I want to show him how cutely I'd dressed up the teddy bear he got me!” your sister continues. “Mr. Kim Namjoon came looking for him too. Did he run off to the event ahead of us?”
“I don’t know,” you say, avoiding Taehyung’s gaze. “Now run off. I’ll be downstairs in a minute.”
“I should go,” you say quietly, when you’d heard your sister’s footsteps fade. “I’ll see you there?”
Taehyung nods as he unwraps his arm from around your body, licking the lips you'd almost met.
You hear your name being called lowly from behind you just as you open your bedroom door. Turning only your head, you resist the urge to slam the door shut and kiss away the sudden anguish on Taehyung’s face.
“Save me a dance.”
“Two,” you reply, and he chuckles, walking towards you and taking your hand in his.
"I won't delay you further, my daisy. Tonight, I ask you for a dance, but soon... I hope you'll allow me to ask for this as well." Taehyung brings your hand up to his face, kissing your knuckles with his eyes closed, fluttering them open, and looking at you through his lashes with his lips still there. He doesn't wait for a reply. “Go.”

"what is wrong with you?"
you lifted your head off the pillow to look at your laptop, your boyfriends face looking back at you with sad eyes over the video call.
your dark eyes glared him down before he realized how defensive his previous statement came off as.
"I didnt mean it like that!" he chuckled nervously as he through his hands up, further explaining himself. "I mean, whats going on? youve been kinda off lately." he picked at his bottom lip after he spoke.
you simply shrugged and exhailed heavily, your boyfriend was too observant for your own good. you knew you were beginning to struggle with things again recently, but it wasnt anything you couldnt handle. Besides, Taehyung has his own shit to go through. The last thing you need is to throw yourself into his arms and sob about how pitiful your life is despite the fact you cant even do an-
"baby?"
you look down at your screen.
he sends a sympathetic smile your way before speaking. "where are you right now?"
"my room?" you furrowed your brows, confused.
"no, what are you thinking about? whats going on my love?" he further pushes, seemingly worried, which only makes you worried.
you sigh and lean back so you are out of the cameras view, clutching onto your pillow as you mentally debate yourself. "im just having a hard time right now" you mumble quietly, and although he cannot see you, taehyungs eyes are fixated on his laptop.
"I dont want to bother you tae, its just....its just a lot, and frankly Im not in the mood to discuss it toni-"
"Y/N"
"what?" you turn your head and lift the laptop so you can see him.
"its okay if you dont wanna talk tonight, but I really dont want to leave you alone right now. Can I come over?" he spoke with the softest voice, as if he was tiptoeing and nervous of your answer.
"tae, baby, you really dont have to"
"but I want to" he pouted adorably. You knew deep down that you didn't want to be alone either, but you also felt guilty for being the cause of him driving so late over to your apartment in the rain.
you sighed deeply before accepting, knowing he was coming whether you agreed or not. "just drive safe ok? please?" you spoke as you watched him dart up to grab his jacket
"I will my sweet girl, I will be there soon, Love you" he spoke, blowing a kiss into the screen, making you laugh at how corny he was when it came to you.
"love you too" you smiled softly and disconnected the call, cleaning your room quickly as much as you could. Over the past few weeks you had been struggling to find energy to do simple shit, like laundry. your room was a mess frankly, and you didnt want him to see what youve been dealing with.
about 20 minuets later, you open your apartment door to a wet hair-ed taehyung. you had dragged him in quickly and fetched a towel to rinse his hair, making him laugh.
"back from the war babe, you miss me?" he teased, gently grasping your arms from his head and pulling you against his chest.
"yes, I missed you a lot. I didnt realize how bad the weather was, im sorry you had to drive through that" you offer an apologetic smile, stepping back to look at him.
his large hands cupped your cheeks, leaning forward to press a kiss to your lips. "stop apologizing you loser" he laughed and stepped away quickly to show you a large brown paper bag. "look" he spoke, seemingly proud of himself for whatever it was.
"wow a bag" you giggled, watching him walk into the kitchen to set it down. "no no," he turned to you, "close your eyes!" he spoke with excitement as you followed his orders, unable to see, but listening to the ruffling of the bag.
"okay, look now" he laughed softly as you gently fluttered your eyes open to see your boyfriend standing in front of you with a small bouquet of flowers, and the biggest grin across his face.
your eyes dart between them and him and you pout, "baby you didnt have to get me flowers?" you reached out and held them, they were so beautiful. how did he get these so late? you dont deserve him.
"thank you so much my love, but why did you get this?" you spoke as he brought you close, kissing your head. "well, you said you were having a hard time...and we dont have to talk about it..but I wanna make you feel better. Pretty things always make me feel better, and flowers are pretty and so are you, so....."
you look up at him and resist the urge to pinch his bread cheeks and leave kiss marks all over them. you loved this man to death.
"youre such a sweetie" you nestled your head against his chest as you both swayed gently in the kitchen at 3:28am. "I love you, thank you sweet boy"
"I love you most, princess." he ran his hand through your hair before seeming to remember something suddenly. "Oh! also, baby, I have some more surprises for you." he stood back and wiggled his eyebrows at you.
you raised a brow, "is it sex?"
he looked taken back, "well no...." he blushed as he continued to dig into the brown bag to pull out a small container of ice cream, grabbing two spoons and holding it up for you. "but maybe we can do that after" he smirked.
you laughed and took the ice cream into your hands. only your boyfriend would come bearing sweets this late. "Thank you, again" you smiled and kissed his cheek. "you didnt have to do all this, seriously."
he shook his head and took your hand. "I love you, and things will be ok. I dont have to do anything, but you deserve everything"
you hugged him so tight you both almost lost your balance.
"cmon babe, lets go indulge in chocolate-caramel ice cream, while we lay in bed and watch netflix" he skipped childishly to your room as you followed.
"oh are you finally gifting me your password?" you teased, giggling.
he turned and pouted, "I told you, I would let you have an account on my profile but my mom and dad insist on having 2 different accounts instead of sharing one"
"i was just teasing baby" you laughed and slapped his butt as you walked past him.
He chuckled and jumped onto the bed, joining you and cuddling you closely, kissing your head and eating ice cream as you two ranted and went on about whatever there was to discuss for adults at almost 4am.
with no time, you found yourself able to forget about what was bothering you, even if it was just for tonight, you had him. you had taehyung. and you were so grateful.
A/N : loving tae hours.
