Thinks about how Vergil’s story is about the feeling of losing autonomy and control, of not being safe and going to every length you can to build up your defenses and power, hurt others before they hurt you, only for his self destructive path to end in the greatest loss of control possible.

He looses his autonomy, his name, his face, to the man who was responsible for this whole complex to begin with. and finally free and on the verge of death he’s still trying to regain control, casting aside entire parts of his identity to feel like he can’t be hurt anymore. but it’s not that easy. and that human part of him has to know what it’s like to have to rely on. Having to go to Dante, using the nightmares, even the very act of using a cane.

and now he’s in the underworld, having once again to rely on Dante for the foreseeable future. Just like in 3 they fight together really well, having each others back and covering each others asses, all while never losing that competitive streak. But they trust each other, because despite having it taken away from him numerous times, Vergil is giving up a bit of that control to trust his brother anyways im so normal about this can you tell ahaha

Cane user pride flag because as far as I can tell no one else has made one. Normal, and one with the cane user symbol I made.

Here is a link to the web archive page where you can download HD versions of the flag and symbol. Both are public domain because I hate capitalism and I say so.

The only thing I request is that you include image descriptions wherever possible, and link other people to the files or at least let them know they're free to use for anything.

Colors are from my synesthesia.

[ID: Four versions of a pride flag with six horizontal stripes. From top to bottom, they are: Light grey, grey-green, dark grey, violet purple, medium blue, and turquoise blue.

The second, third, and fourth versions of the flag are the same as the first, but with a cane user symbol in the center, which is a white stick figure with a black outline. The figure is walking forward with a cane in their left hand, which is held forward to follow their right foot, while their right hand and left leg are going back. The first figure is skinny and made up only only straight lines and angles, except for the circle of the head. The second is still skinny, but has rounded edges. The third is fatter, with rounded edges.

I've been feeling particularly feral today so I'm going to go on a rant about the symbolism of the cane in Jekyll and Hyde.

Walking sticks like this during this time period would only have been owned by rich, respectable gentlemen. For this reason, it is symbolic of this idealistic, perfect man that Jekyll wants to be.

Hyde likely has it with him to keep some form of connection to the other part of him. Jekyll is struggling with his identity at this point and is torn between the two. He would choose his original persona if he had to decide (as he is relieved to do when he can no longer go out as Hyde) and wants to make sure he doesn't lose hold of it. The stick is probably his way of ensuring he is tied to it and it remains a part of him.

However, this cane becomes the murder weapon used to kill Carew. The symbol for the upstanding gentleman kills him, an interesting link to how it is Jekyll (if only a part of him) that carries out his murder. This act breaks the cane, just as it breaks that image of who Jekyll wants to be. As much as he tries to be perfect, he isn't. He cannot be good while also being capable of murdering someone for no good reason. This also represents him being taken over by the evil of Hyde and foreshadows the eventual loss of the better part of himself.

I also find it very interesting that the cane is split into two, just as Jekyll himself is. This cane is both a symbol of respectability and a murder weapon. It is broken into two parts. Jekyll is both a respectable gentleman and a murderer. He has two personas. The cane represents the duality within himself and reflects his two natures.

This is probably useless and boring to anyone other than me. I just really enjoy some good symbolism and analysis and very rarely get a chance to go into detail with these things.

Warning: headcanon, spoil and my broken English

1) I love joking about how he can't see well due to his hair covering his eyes, and how he uses a walking cane-whip :D

I realized that this seemed to be the theme of the Amaterasu side because the peacekeeper chiefs all covered their left eye lmao (excluding Swank-not-the-chief, both Martina and Fake Zilch wear glasses)

Anw Makoto has one eye on the mask too :D

2) Phantom Yomi has 2 halves, 1 is a devil (bad - right) and 1 is an angel (good - left) and compared to real life, that hair hides his angelic side (good side). His Justice is blind

yeah yeah he talks toooooo much bullshit about justice, like, before punishing Seth, Martina, and Yuma, he always makes excuses for his actions. "They did bad things, and I did the right thing". Although it's not the whole truth, we can't deny his excuses tho.

This guy can go out, kill people, then leave without saying a word and no one dares to say anything. Instead, he chose to babble about his twisted justice full of himself.

A Jason timeline ! I know time wise it doesnt really make sense for jason to have 2 robin costumes but shut up and also he seems to have enough of a growth spurt to need one so :p

But yeah first red hood costume is a bit of a mix between the under the red hood look and the dickbats full supervillain look, as dramatic and camp as jason can be it the cape just didnt scream actually scary crime boss im sorry bro, second look is more of the new 52 early rebirth look, and third costume i just took some of my favorite elements from like challengers of beyond era because its just personally one of my favorite jason eras look wise. I was gonna do that sorta hoodie vest look but it seems like they ditched that pretty quick after rhato ended which im not mad about tbh, altho i didnt hate the mask which is why its an option.

i should not be allowed to read this author at emotional times. like. late at night. relocated from sleeping on the sofa (again lmao) at like 2am and was awake and i had mentioned that i really loved the play that one author had written (yes, the one filling me with admiration and envy so bad that let's not get into that) to my teacher and she also really likes that author and loaned me two books of his. so i decided, hey, i'm gonna read a bit, either i get tired and fall asleep (good) or i finish the book (also good) except now i'm hit once again by this stupid emotion mocktail i wanna write like that so so so bad but i'll never be able to write this or something like it because he already did that, that's the point, so now i'm tired but still not sleeping because ough and also i should really analyse the story maybe

#i already noticed a lot of details #he wasnt exactly subtle in saying his part #but damnn #a biscuit's rambles #its 4am i am still not sleeping i am still so unnormal about it #to be fair i did try to sleep #but that one theatre adaptation of a different play and this book started mixing #like the guy was whirling around on his colourful space rock on wheels thing with that bigass cane for steering (actually happened and it w #s GOOD okay it was a bit weird at the beginning but so so good) but that cane thing was a candy cane #and he like. used the hook thingy to pull me in by my collar. i have never before dreamed in 1st person pov btw that doesnt actually happen #and then thaz feeling was like a dull echo of the main guy at the end of the book #while the other two actors/characters from the play were also there #the main character still standing in the middle like a marionette slowly spinning w/out visible strings and s/that costume and stuff it was #so good. and the other one except she wasnt visible under all the clothes (that was like a pretty symbolic thing in the play)#and for some reason all of this was accompanied by iron maiden's 22 acacia avenue #i know every single riff and guitar solo and line by heart it was the exact song playing #interesting choice of lyrics for a mashup of classic literature with very different topics and one modern adaptation of one of those!#i mean that line of dreaming stopped but now im awake again ugh

Attempted revamped cane user symbol that's more accurate to how canes are actually supposed to be used as mobility aids rather than decoration, with four variants.

They're public domain because I made them and I say so. You are explicitly encouraged to edit them in any way you want, including adding more disabilities, making more body types or anything like that, or anything else you can think of. Including fun things like adding wings or outfits lol.

The stick figure version is included specifically to act as a guide for making your own by drawing on top.

The only things I ask is that if you share them, you link to HD versions of the files for others to download themselves, and include an image description whenever possible if you're sharing them online.

Showing off my Sokka cosplay :) I'm excited to bring it to con next week !
