A while back I was asked to make a pommel for a sword a friend of mine was forging. Turns out that sword was being made for a player on the Cleveland browns who's super into d&d. Matt Mercer even named it for him: Ruinous End. For my upcoming show I decided to make a mini version of that sword, I'm pretty pleased with the results!

Haganezuka x Kanamori /Hagamori/ (Scene 1 ~Beach~)
The swordsmith village, though remaining hard at work, was tired. Many of the forgers had their skin coated in a thick sheen of sweat that trickled down their foreheads. The swordsmiths did of course have breaks every so often. These breaks mostly happened on days the demon slayer they forge for are injured or any other circumstance in which they don't need to be making a sword.
It was very rare that "friends" got days off conveniently at the same time. Though if you are close enough to Tecchin, it's possible. This hinting to Kotetsu as he walked through the halls of Tecchin's estate. As Kotetsu walked his mind trailed to the memory of the conversation, or rather ramble session he had with Kanamori.
Kanamori was on break for a few days and during one of those days he had a this talk with Kotetsu.
"Don't you think he focuses to much on being stuffed in that tiny room making swords all day. I mean it's an important job, I know that but don't you think he needs to get out once in a while. I can't stand him. It's always Kanamori shut up or Kanamori this and that....."
Kotetsu groaned while Kanamori rambled on about Haganezuka. Kotetsu had watched in agony as Kanamori and Haganezuka slowly and slowly grew closer over the years he had known the two men. The slow burn between then boiled his insides in rage, and just when the two would start to have a romantic moment, either Haganezuka would become to shy to speak, or Kanamori would laugh loudly in an uncomfortable embarrassment.
Kotetsu was tired. Tired of the slow burn make out session the two were bound to have fifty years down the road. And Kotetsu being Kotetsu, decided to give them a little shove.
Kotetsu ended the memory as he walked into the main room where Tecchin sat on a pillow, two others with red masks standing next to him. One was bowing and the other was handing him a cup of tea.
"Ah. Kotetsu. Is there something you need?" Tecchin asked in a strained voice as he sipped his tea. Kotetsu sat in front of Tecchin and bowed his head before speaking. "Sir, I have a request." Kotetsu began as Tecchin hummed, signaling him to continue.
"Well, You know how awful it is that Haganezuka is locked in that awfully gloomy room all the time? Well I was thinking what if we give Haganezuka a break. And not any normal break."
(he'll just lock himself in his room anyway)
Tecchin tilted his head. "And what will a break do?"
"Well. I was thinking, what if we make it mandatory that he has to hang out with someone. Kanamori for example..."
Kotetsu coughed at the last sentence hoping he would get his point across to Tecchin without making the other two red masked individuals uncomfortable.
Tecchin seemed to understand and immediately nodded. "Sounds like a fantastic idea. Why don't we call those two up here, yes?" Behind his mask, Kotetsu smiled. "Yes! I'll return shortly."
As Kotetsu said, he returned rather quickly with Kanamori and Haganezuka in tow. When Tecchin explained the ordeal, Haganezuka refused but Tecchin threatened him with...unspeakable things. As a father would. Haganezuka in the end gave in while Kanamori wasn't that hesitant at all and seemed rather fond of the idea.
Once the conversation was over Kotetsu would then spy on the two as they were forced to spend a whole day, dawn to dusk with each other.
"So...What now?" Haganezuka grumbled. Kanamori seemed lost in thought before he came back down to earth. "Oh uh. I honestly don't know. It's all so sudden I didn't think to make any plans." Kanamori stared off into the distance. The sun had risen just above the horizon.
"Well..you don't have many things you like to do. So just think of something that you have never done but think would be cool. And do-able. And don't say anything about swords or I will punch you." Kanamori pointed his finger at the nose of Haganezuka's mask.
"I've never been in a casket before. Can I do that?" Haganezuka replied. Kanamori stared at the ladder in awe. "Really? Are you serious?" Kanamori cringed under his mask.
The two had been walking on a dirt path outside of the hidden village. The air was slightly chilled and they had walked a long ways away. Kanamori ran ahead of Haganezuka enjoying the breeze and Haganezuka watched intently. Kanamori was a bright man, even with that mask on he could tell when Kanamori was smiling.
Kanamori was practically the opposite of Haganezuka. Kanamori was a peoples person and he loved to run around and spin in endless circles until he got dizzy just to make others laugh. He's gentle and kind, his voice is soothing, many of the other swordsmiths always felt honored to work beside him. Haganezuka thought these things in silence.
Kanamori, though awfully annoying, was somebody that Haganezuka was slightly fond of. Kanamori made it clear when he was upset with Haganezuka's sassy remarks but he also made it clear that he considered Haganezuka a friend. And that was something that Haganezuka had never been used to.
"Woah! Haganezuka look at this!" Kanamori called farther down the dirt path. When Haganezuka made it over to him, Kanamori pointed with stars on his masks eyes. In front of the two, (And a stalking Kotetsu) was a small beach. It was really a very large lake but Kanamori settled for beach instead. The water shimmered in the sunlight and the sand was littered with sticks, leaves, and rocks.
"What about it?" Haganezuka questioned. He tilted his head, the sun was quite hot but then again it wasn't anything Haganezuka wasn't used to. Kanamori made a flabbergasted gasp. "You don't seriously think that I'm not going to take a dip after randomly finding a beach. You're an idiot." Kanamori grabbed Haganezuka's arm and ran down the small mound and onto the sand.
"Hey! Let go of me!" Haganezuka struggled and smacked Kanamori's head multiple times but to no avail. Kanamori pushed Haganezuka down onto the sand as Haganezuka fumbled around. Kanamori laughed but soon went quiet when Haganezuka rose back up.
He took an odd stance before sprinting after Kanamori. Kanamori let out a shriek. "Haganezuka! it was just a joke! I WAS JOKING!!" Kanamori was tackled to the ground as he squirmed around. Kanamori was no weak man but Haganezuka was just stronger.
Kanamori's hands were held above his head tightly as Haganezuka sat on his waist. Kanamori couldn't run even if he tried and Haganezuka looked as if he was ready to throw punches. "I am going to kill you!" He yelled.
Kanamori sighed admitting defeat and turning his head to the side, pouting under his mask. Haganezuka sighed, "Fine. I won't kill you. But you won't be so lucky next time." Haganezuka lifted his hands and got off Kanamori. But by this point, Kanamori had accepted death.
Kanamori quickly shot up and pulled Haganezuka's mask off and pushed him into the water, soaking his clothes and his hair covering getting pulled off. Haganezuka resurfaced from the water and stared at Kanamori, his mouth opened in a dramatic shocked face.
Though, Haganezuka wasn't awfully angry, he was mad but not mad enough to kill Kanamori and that alone felt weird to him. He stood up, pulled his head covering off completely and walked out of the water a soaked mess. Kanamori laughed and pointed, "You look like a wet dog!"
Haganezuka rubbed his eyes and shouted. "You won't be able to see after I drown you!" Haganezuka ran after Kanamori and pulled him into the water. "No wait! These are my good clothes! I swear!" Kanamori struggled again against Haganezuka's grip. Again.
He was successfully thrown into the water. His mask also coming off and landing in the sand next to Haganezuka's. Kanamori took this as a challenge he knew he wouldn't win. Kanamori pulled off his sweater and shirt, both of them soaked. "Okay Hotaru. It's on."
Haganezuka felt a slight blush to his cheeks but gritted his teeth against that fluttery feeling in his chest and did the same as Kanamori. Then, they were at it. Pushing and shoving each other down and into the water. Though Kanamori was definitely loosing, Haganezuka allowed Kanamori to win the fights for a few rounds.
The water was deep enough to reach Haganezuka's shoulders, meaning it was about chin deep for Kanamori. Kanamori yelled as he was dunked into the water again. Kanamori couldn't stand equal footing with the rather harsh waves of the ocean water. Because of this Kanamori yelled and held on tightly to Haganezuka's arm.
"AH!" Kanamori screamed. He wrapped his hands tightly around Haganezuka's neck and wrapped his legs around his waist. Truly like a child with their parent. Haganezuka panicked as he felt himself tip forward in the water and wrapped his own hands around Kanamori's thighs in order to keep them straight up. Haganezuka was also slightly afraid of letting Kanamori get washed away. Haganezuka could swim, Kanamori could barely.
The two stood for a second in silence before Haganezuka made his way back to the shallows of the beach, getting to a comfortable level of water for Kanamori so he could let go. Kanamori mumbled a sorry as Haganezuka didn't say anything at all.
The two took a break from swimming, snacking on some berried Kanamori had picked specially for Haganezuka to try. "They aren't to bad.." Haganezuka mumbled after trying a berry.
The sun was a little ways away from sunset and after the silence Kanamori decided. "How about we go for a walk. You know, along the shore."
Haganezuka sighed knowing that if he didn't say yes Kanamori was most likely going to wrestle him again. So, he agreed. Kanamori stood up and shook off some sand from his pants and held his hand out to Haganezuka.
Kanamori was rather handsome in this setting. His hair was messy and wet, that warm and welcoming smile on his face, the sea behind him. And all while he held his hand out so majestically, it made Haganezuka want to throw up rainbows.
He took Kanamori's hand though, and was pulled up to his feet and then dragged out down the shore. It was a hot day, and to keep their feet from burning they had to walk in the relatively moist sand. As they walked Haganezuka felt Kanamori's hand squeeze his own. A warmth spreading up his arm, neck and cheeks.
Haganezuka then began to do one of the two romantic cut offs Kotetsu (who was still stalking them) spoke about. He began to become to shy to form full sentences.
"Isn't the water pretty?"
"mhm.."
"What else should we do today?"
"I don't know.."
"It's to hot but the water is way to cold!"
"mhm.."
And all through it Haganezuka stared down at his feet with a very light blush on his cheeks. Kanamori laughed awkwardly as their hands stayed connected. Kanamori then stopped walking and took a deep breath. Haganezuka stopped to but kept his gaze down.
Kanamori gave Haganezuka a quick kiss on the corner of his mouth and Haganezuka's head shot up as he stared at Kanamori. (Kotetsu was cheering in the bush he was hiding in) Haganezuka felt a deep blush invade his cheeks. Kanamori looked away and furrowed his brows.
"Do you want to uhm...swim again?" Haganezuka asked and Kanamori sighed letting go of Haganezuka's hand. "Sure.." They both walked into the water again. As the waves got slightly harsher Kanamori was going to make his way over to the shallow water when he felt arms wrap around his waist and pull him up out of the water.
"H-Hotaru!" Kanamori stuttered. Haganezuka had placed Kanamori on his shoulder, the water then only reaching up to his knees. Kanamori smiled and Haganezuka smiled slightly to. Trying to not be noticeable of course. Kanamori and Haganezuka laughed and played around in the water a few minutes more after that.
The sun was just starting to set and the two were back sitting on the sand. Kanamori leaned his head on Haganezuka's shoulder and watched the sunset. Haganezuka looked towards Kanamori, breathing out a shaky breath. He put his thumb on Kanamori's chin and lifted his head up so their gazes could meet.
Haganezuka then leaned down and placed a soft and gentle kiss on Kanamori's lips leaving Kanamori red. Haganezuka laughed smugly when he saw how flustered Kanamori had gotten. He then gave Kanamori kiss after kiss after kiss as Kanamori pleaded for him to stop out of embarrassment. Haganezuka held Kanamori close and stated, "This doesn't mean I'm going to start being all sweet and submissive to you now. Hope you know that. Better be prepared for what your getting yourself into Kozo."
Kanamori smiled and snuggled his head into Haganezuka's chest. "I wasn't planning on you changing at all. I'm prepared. Trust me Hotaru."
"YES!!"
"KOTETSU!?"
Kotetsu was strangled by Haganezuka for spying on them...

Cranking out some #armor in this case a #viking #helmet which is what I was working on using the cut off pipe as a dishing block. As you can see it works quite well. It's a brisk 10°F today, -12° to those that didn't land on the moon, so I'll be wearing my thick gloves in the shop today to finish it up. Kyoto: Deep Cuts...
On the previous day, I had met up with my cousin Jeremy and his girlfriend Alex to have an experience with a maiko. You can read about it here. On this day, we would split up. My travel would take me outside of Kyoto City proper and out into the countryside of Kyoto Prefecture. I would be going to the small city of Kameoka. In Kameoka I would be visiting the home studio of a swordsmith, Yuya…

⚔️ [#KnYOC] The swordsmith's wife ⚔️
Does anyone remember her? 👀
Three years ago, I created Keiko Hotarubi, my "Kimetsu no Yaiba" OC, daughter of a swordsmith and Hotaru Haganezuka's wife 🎐🍡
In my AU, they get married by compromise, since, as we know, Haganezuka is pretty inept in social relationships 🔪😅
Since Haganezuka's face was revealed in color last week, I've been wanting to draw a picture of Keiko with him, but since I haven't had much time, I decided to take an old sketch of Keiko and color it very simply. I hope I can do something more elaborate when this KnY season is over 💛✨
Without more to say, I hope you like it!!! 🌻
