Thinking about how Surge and Kit are the anti versions of Sonic and Tails. Thinking about how their dynamic is supposed to be like Sonic and Tails but isn't. How it could never be.

Thinking about how the only thing that Starline got out of Sonic and Tails's unbreakable bond is "Tails is Sonic's unquestioning sidekick". How he entirely missed how much Sonic cares about Tails. How he missed everything that makes their bond a "cosmic truth".

Thinking about how Starline literally made them electricity and water themed. And how electricity and water don't mix.

Thinking about how, despite all that, Surge and Kit are forming their own bond. How it's not the healthiest, how it's codependent and enmeshed, but they're still trying.

Which is a little disappointing, 'cause they don't get each one, I understand that, but... have something that is just a crazy muscle car that is being overpowered by Surge, and Kit is fueling the water coolant system himself. Like, the only reason this car is not exploding on the finish line is Kit. KYLE: [laughs] Kit is part of the car. IAN: Yeah, pretty much. KYLE: [laughing] She shoved him into the- Kit is the- oh no, that's terrible! IAN: [chuckles] Every time you hit a booster, she yells back at him, "Pedal faster!" KYLE: [laughs] "Faster, Drippy!" Oh no... it's terrible! It's awful. I love it. I love it.
