Severinka Constance Bedroom Parts 1 & 2 - 4t3 conversion

A release from my private conversion stash now made public as a gift of gratitude for those who helped me no matter what ♥

Since this set wasn't meant to be public, the filenames are different, I didn't sign them, but I believe they're descriptive enough. All items included except the medium wall versions of the decor arch and panels. I did a smaller version of the chandelier in turn :)

Everything is BGC and everything is recolorable except for the mirrored butterfly decor. I don't remember the polycount right now, but all are on the reasonable side. Collection files included.

Another table based on a real life version I saw online. There are 13 recolors of the whole table and 10 recolors of just the drawers.

2 subsets, 420 polys, 5 slots, can be found in Surfaces>Misc for 150 Simoleons.

Note: This is a 2 tile mesh but the footprint is only 1 tile and it's centered in that tile. I had reasons for doing it this way... which I've completely forgotten about since. :D

These are actually some of the WIPs I haven't touched in a while and decided to finish, and never thought they would make up a living room set together. So there you have it, enjoy these eight conversions/edits made with love!

4to3 Cats and Dogs "My Parent's Knick-Knacks" Emptied + Slots

I used this conversion by @kandiraver-sims as base, removed the clutter, added 7 slots, and redid the textures. It has two CAStable channels with only one preset, costs §100, found in Surfaces > Displays, Misc. Polycount: 188 (hLOD)/166 (mLOD).

2to3 Apartment Life "Fair Square Surface"

This has one preset with two CAStable channels, costs §235 with 9 slots. Found in Surfaces > Coffee Tables. Polycount: 962 (hLOD)/542 (mLOD)

4to3 Horse Ranch "Happy Wild Flowers"

This has a total of 6 presets, three of which have the clean vase, and another three that of a dirty vase, both with three flower variations. Two CAStable channels, cost §50, found in Decor > Plants. Polycount: 312 (hLOD)/193 (mLOD)

4to3 High School Years "The Sconce Response"

Three CAStable channels with lamp part is an overlay. One preset, costs §85, found in Lighting > Wall Lamps. Polycount: 426 (hLOD)/260 (mLOD)

Bjorn Single Chair

Shrunk version of the Bjorn Sofa from Pets as a living chair. Two CAStable channels, cost §350, found in Comfort > Living Chairs. Polycount: 312 (hLOD)/193 (mLOD)

Pets "Ranch Flower" Unvased

Suggested by @joshttew. It now makes a decent clutter item without the vase and the flowers. Two CAStable channels, cost §325, found in Decor > Plants, Sculptures, Misc. Polycount: 146 (hLOD)/60 (mLOD)

Pets "Desert Ivy" Liberated

Separated the plant part from the stand, now placeable in any surface and also comes with a smaller version. One CAStable channel, costs §50 (regular)/§25 (small), found in Decor > Plants. Polycount: 616 (hLOD)/416 (mLOD)

Base Game Science Rabbit Hole Paintings Remade

The science rabbit hole from the base game has two cool paintings found at the back part, so I decided to recreate them as a buyable object. Two presets with one CAStable channel, costs §300, found in Decor > Wall Hangings. Polycount: 78 (hLOD)/56 (mLOD)

Research team develops a more durable coating against ice

Ice-repellent coatings have been around for some time, but until now they have been very sensitive and detach quite quickly from the surfaces they are meant to protect. A research team led by Anna Maria Coclite and Gabriel Hernández Rodríguez from the Institute of Solid State Physics at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) has now succeeded in remedying this shortcoming. They have developed a highly ice-repellent coating that adheres to a wide variety of materials and is very resistant to abrasion. The team's paper is published in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. The researchers achieved this progress by using a manufacturing technology called initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD). This makes it possible for a strongly adhesive primer material to gradually transition into the ice-repellent compound.

TS4 Modern Luxe Kit (all the rest of Buy Mode) - 4t3 conversion

I really wanted to make a better preview, with all the recolorable channels and stuff, but Things Happened and Are Still Happening, so please understand :(

Anyway, everything in the preview is included except for walls and flooring (the latter is EA anyway). Unfortunately I couldn't make the frame TV work with the artwork, so it became a normal TV, but I guess its size makes it useful enough.

I strongly recommend CC mattresses that come with loose, hanging blankets OR CC separate blankets for the bedframe since it was made with blankets in mind. @twinsimming has some that i really like! Also, the pillows are separate since I had to adjust the bedframe height to TS3 standards - which makes the pillow shadows visible in the preview practically disappear under the mattress.

Unfortunately the game acted up and I couldn't make a collection file, but most objects are easy to find (and you can search for "Deniisu" if you have @lazyduchess search mod). The less obvious are the single pillow (on Living chairs), the chair on the left (it's a dining chair, the same in TS4), and all the nonfunctional clutter in in Sculptures.

Also, the vanity was cloned from a Late Night one, but while adjusting the mirror plane, fixing textures, etc. it ended up flagged as BGC. I don't think a vanity will be incompatible with base game only, but here's a heads up.

Everything is recolorable except for the rug, and has working speculars (very noticeable in the preview). The bust and the single pillow, which have some interesting pattern options, have those on the mask instead of oodles of overlays, so you can recolor them the way you like.

Sorry again for this messy release, I know everyone was anxious for this one, but I need to rest a bit :x

I saw the real life version of this cabinet (which I think is a bar) while interneting one day. Since I tend to make Sim-versions of real life stuff I like - and could never afford - here we go. Nothing terribly exciting or fancy.

There are 5 slots on the top, 2 subsets - the wood and the "metal" (handles and the doodads on the legs), can be found in Surfaces> and is 1,176 polys.

There are 11 recolors of the wood - 2 of them include handle recolors - and 5 recolors of just the handles.

Note: If you want to put this in a corner, you will need to use snapobjectstogrid false as it is one tile wide and will get eaten by the wall! It's also one and a half tiles tall, the real life one is a pretty big piece of furniture. :)

700 Followers Gift: 1x1 Coffee Tables!

I got an ask from @notgonnapostanythinghere who suggested me to make some 1x1 coffee tables from the base game and some EPs. And here I go, made 7 of them in line for the 700 followers gift I'm gonna offer to y'all!

The sticking point: Why physicists are still struggling to understand ice's capacity to adhere and become slippery

Whether in the form of frost or a smooth, transparent ice cube, ice adheres spontaneously and even quite strongly to many solid surfaces. However, as any careless person who has skidded on a winter sidewalk can testify, ice can also be very slippery. In fact, ice can be both sticky and slippery. This versatility has long puzzled scientists. To begin with, they have been attempting to crack the secret behind ice's slipperiness for more than 150 years. Among them have been famous physicists such as Lord Kelvin and Michael Faraday. The latter, better known for his work in electromagnetism, was the first to envisage the presence of a thin layer of liquid water covering ice, even well below 0°C. At the time, he reasoned that the contact of a solid object against the surface layer prompted it to act as a lubricant, greatly reducing friction on the ice. The existence of this liquid layer was confirmed by experiments more than a century later.
