This was genuinely the scariest part of the entire episode
#seeing him never get out kills me.#spending what must be decades in there as the same long-suffering sidekick/kicked dog/sonwife with no agency#and accepting it too. accepting this being the only reality he can exist in#the way that this ties into the episode overall re: morty realizing he can be independent from rick#and realizing morty DOESN'T actually want this. to be rick's puppet for the rest of his life#sure the ''i turned into my dad'' gag was true but what does that rly mean?#his dad isn't exactly in a healthy relationship#its good to see morty confront the fact that he needs a life without rick. or at least with less of him#and i'm excited to see how the show continues with that in mind#rnm
