Wednesday| General Relationship Headcannons|
------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm obsessed with the characters in this show and I can't wait for season 2. I hope they give us more Yoko content cuz I love her but it was so hard to write for her :(
Also I think I'm way too late to the hype but aren't I always?
Characters Included: Wednesday Addams, Enid Sinclair, Bianca Barclay, Yoko Tanaka
------------------------------------------------------------------
• Wednesday •
Honestly at first you thought she hated you but then Enid told you that Wednesday hates everyone so you shouldn't take it personally.
The werewolf assured you that she'll open up to you with time so you kept trying and magically it worked.
It was hard to get her to be affectionate with you but after time you learnt that she's going to come to it at her own pace.
Once she does she's a very soft touches kind of person. Nothing to extravagant and not much in public. Words of affirmation are her favourite thing, both to receive and to give.
Gives you private cello concerts that you no doubt love. She'll immediately immerse herself in any interest that you have. Of course at first she'll act like she doesn't care about it but the same night Enid will catch her doing research on it.
You take turns when it comes to planning dates. She usually prefers a setting where it's the two of you alone but will generally enjoy anything gothic and dark.
Fights with Wednesday are a nightmare.
She completely shuts down when she's upset and you'll hardly even get a word out of her when you notice how upset she is. Wednesday herself also has a very hard time understanding how she's upsetting you and she can't show empathy that easy. Once you get the communication going it's going to be fairly easy to solve whatever happened because Wednesday is very mature. She will apologize for hurting you during the actual argument and if she's in the wrong she'll recognise it.
Meeting the Addams family was chaos but they were pretty quick to accept you. The mere fact that Wednesday tolerates you enough to date you was enough for the rest of the family to like you. Of course they couldn't miss giving you a very dark and gory version of the shovel talk but you were pretty used to it from being around Wednesday so much.
Now I won't lie and say she's the perfect girlfriend or anything. We all know she can be toxic and since she's not used to any of this she's bound to make a lot of mistakes.
If you give her a chance she'll give as much of her heart as she can.
• Enid •
She's so sweet and energetic
A true ball of sunshine
You guys met during your first year at Nevermore. Enid was the one who approached you. She came up to you all giddy and excited saying something about how she just felt attracted to your aura. You couldn't say anything to that so you just kind of accepted that she's your friend now.
As you might have guessed the platonic feelings quickly turned into romantic ones. Enid needed only a tiny bit of encouragement before she asked you out.
Although she can be a little bit overbearing at times. You need to communicate with her and tell her that she needs to tone it down just a bit. She might be upset at first but she'll understand.
She plans the best dates ever. She knows exactly what you like and will combine both of your interests so you can spend quality time together while having fun.
Absolutely adors pda and will want to be touching you in some way 24/7. Obviously she'll respect your boundaries. You find it endearing how she craves your touch so much.
You're her go to person. Whenever she's stressed about something, either that be something small like losing another one of her favourite nail polish or big like the whole Hyde situation, she'll show up at your dorm expecting to be comforted.
It's actually easy to get her back to her cheerful happy self. She just needs snacks her favourite movie and you.
Although it's different when it comes to her worries about her family, especially her mother and the wolfing out obsession that she seems to have.
You're going to have to let her rant. She'll be pacing around the room talking animatedly and her claws may even come out but soon enough all her feelings will be out in the open. She made it quite clear that she didn't want you to get involved with her family and their problems.
She only ever allowed her father to meet you and after getting pass the initial awkwardness it was pretty nice. Her dad was a soft spoken kind man who immediately took a liking to you. Enid was ecstatic to see you two getting along.
Your relationship with Enid might have some slight problems at first but it gets better with time. You'll be the annoying constantly stuck in the honeymoon phase couple everyone loves and hates.
• Bianca •
The queen bee of Nevermore was of course intimidating.
Which is exactly why she was the one to approach you first. You shouldn't expect her to make the first move though.
Bianca would want something romantic but not to over the top, subtle but sweet. Thankfully you gave her exactly that and of course she accepted. The entirety of the school was all over you guys after you announced your relationship, gossiping and looking, some even had the courage to come up to you and congratulate you.
While Bianca loves being the centre of attention normally, when it comes to you she wants some things to be kept between you two. She enjoys the quiet moments you guys share a lot. That of course doesn't mean that she won't take you out for the best dates.
She isn't too into pda but not entirely against it either. A light peck on the cheek and the casual hand holding is as far as she'll go. Unless she's jealous that is. Jealous Bianca is a sight to behold. She gets jealous quite easily, believe it or not. Divinia had to convince her that using her siren song on the person being all over you wasn't a good idea too many times. Instead she settled for placing her hand around your weist while glaring at the other person. It's pretty safe to say that she got the message across.
Her siren song and the whole manipulation nuisance only becomes a problem after a certain amount of time when we guys have already been in a relationship for some time. It's when she starts seeing this relationship as a serious thing. Her insecurities and the voice of her mother try to convince her that you'll leave once you realise who she truly is. You on the other hand can't lie and say that you've never thought about how Bianca might have used her power on you. It was a silly though that you quickly discarded.
This entire ordeal thankfully ended before it could escalate into something bigger.
Bianca is a mature person so whenever you're having any serious fights she would be very easy to talk to and she'd try to resolve the issue the best way possible. When it comes to small and petty arguements on the other hand her snarky nature will come out full scale and she won't hold it back.
Bianca might also trust you with everything that's going down with her mother but she wouldn't want you to intervene at all. She has it all under control and she expect you to show trust in her.
All in all Bianca is a pretty good girlfriend even if you relationship isn't perfect, with the regular ups and downs.
• Yoko •
With the whole dark and chill aura that she has she's truly irresistible. The attractive vampire had her eyes on you for a pretty long time but she didn't make a move. Instead she simply waited to see just how you would approach her. She's someone who's lived for decades so patients is her strong suit. Enid tried to tell her that it's kind of creepy how she just stares at you and never dares to makes a move but Yoko insists that she simply enjoys the excitement of waiting.
The build up was truly worth it in her eyes. She stayed behind in class one day packing up her things and tidying her desk when you walked in, flushed a pretty colour with red roses to match ber lipstick on your hands. You were stuttering and fumbling over your words so obviously flustered and it was such a sight for sore eyes. If you weren't so nervous you would've noticed the way the pretty vampire was looking at you the way a wolf stares at a rabbit.
She took pity on you though and accepted the flowers. After she took your hands in hers, placed a kiss on your knuckles and left with a promise of a date. A promise that she didn't forget. Your first date was something so hopelessly romantic but Yoko made sure not to go overboard, she didn't want to scare you after all.
Yoko is a very private person in general and she loves being alone with you in quiet spaces were you can just relax and spent time together. She'd definitely plan things that both of you can enjoy. You can expect her to be very good at planning dates but also dating in general due to her many years being alive. Yoko also absolutely loves pda but in a very different way from Enid. She's more of a chill character but she needs to have her hands on you in some kind of way. Casually throwing an arm over your shoulders when you're sitting or a gentle hand resting on your hips.
Arguements with Yoko can only be described as weird. If it's a small arguement it won't cause much of a hustle, especially if Enid evolves herself. Big arguments are a different story though. Yoko is an immortal vampire that has been alive for god knows how long. If you aren't a vampire like her then after arguments you'd feel like a child. She's so good and understanding and so damn mature that it annoys you when it absolutely shouldn't. It's bad enough that sometimes Yoko takes it to heart and completely shuts down spending hours upon hours alone trying to understand you.
In the end the entire friend group has to invert themselves in the equation so that everything can be solved and go back to normal.
Speaking about vampires qualities, biting was a very taboo subject in your relationship. At first Yoko would constantly flirt with you about biting you and marking you just so she could fluster you. Then when you asked her if she'd actually do it she profusely refused. You thought that she was just scared of hurting you or something so you tried to prove to her that you're not as fragile as she thinks you are. Turns out biting is a very intimate thing for vampires so she might do it once you guys are very serious.
In the end if you're not a vampire I think it'll be a very difficult relationship especially since Yoko will have to deal with you ultimately dying but if you're immortal like her it's pretty sure to say that you've found your soulmate.

Angst Pure Angst is my favorite genre besides Pure unfiltered Fluff
Wednesday x Reader
Singer!Reader and Wednesday has an established relationship but Wednesday got shipped to Nevermore, she tries to get out of Nevermore to return to Reader but the murders from the hyde intrigued her and kept busy so much that she neglects to send letters to Reader who keeps sending her letters every week just to keep in touch. For months have Reader hoped for Wednesday to send a response but alas it wasnt meant to be. They thought if they scheduled a concert at Jericho that they could spend time with Wednesday for atleast a month, oh just how wrong they were.. They arrived at Jericho, staying at a local hotel for the rest of your stay and the second thing they do after checking in is to visit Nevermore and ask around for Wednesday and lo and behold she avoids them like they were sunshine personified (you can choose Reader's personality) for 2 weeks and they were heartbroken. Now it's time for the concert, they sing several songs and interact with the crowd but for the last song, not knowing if Wednesday is in the crowd or not but they sang it anyway and you can go off from there (could be any heartbreaking songs but i suggest this)
Good luck! and i hope you have fun with this lil request of mine <3
Honestly...I LOVE YOU
Sequel: Version 1 / Version 2
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x Singer! Gn! Reader
Warning: Angst? betray; heartbreak;
Only Silence(Without You)
Tumblr media
You said that we would always be
Without you I feel lost at sea
“Hey, hello!” You leaned over the balcony, your feet shifting, slipping on the floor while your fingers rhythmically tapped the wood. “Can you help me a little bit?” The lobbyist was not in a good mood: you could tell by the way she shook her head and sighed before turning to you.
Her face changed completely when she saw you.
“Y-Y/N.” She stammered. “H-Hi.”
“Hi.” You smiled — and the woman blushed even more. “Can you do me a favor?”
“O-of course!” She basically hugged the balcony, stepping closer to you. “What do you need? I can help you with anything!”
“So, I was hoping to stop by that said school…” You pretended to forget its name. “Evenmore? Something like that. I’ve been told it’s a terrifying place.” Your lips twisted in a scared, exaggerated expression. “Do you happen to know where that is?”
“I do! The Nevermore Academy is only a short walk from here. Unfortunately.” The woman mumbled as she started to look for something on the balcony. “I have a map but…Why would you even wish to know that place?” The map was already in her hands, but she kept it away from you purposely. “These outcasts are wicked. They almost destroyed the town last month. It’s dangerous.”
“Well, but what can I do?” You leaned back with a sigh, pulling your hair as you smirked. “I live for the thrill.”
“Well, but I won’t let you meet these freaks.”
I beg your pardon? You didn’t allow your smile to drop.
“God forbid anything happens to Y/N L/N during your stay here in Jericho!” She curses teenagers then speaks about God. Yeah, makes perfect sense. “Please, stay away from them.”
“I can’t, unfortunately,” How she didn't notice your sarcasm was a mystery. “Many of them bought tickets to the show, so…” You tapped your fingers on the balcony one last time before stepping back. “Thanks for the help!”
“But—”
“Have a good day!” You walked away. You left the hotel lounge with quick steps — you are going to find Nevermore, no matter how.
You’re going to meet Wednesday Addams. You had to — you were here because of her, because of how your hands have been twisting and of how your chest has been aching since she left.
You’ve been sending her letters every single week since she left her home but you’ve got no reply — no note, no message, no riddle or threat, nothing. Then you heard about the mysterious murders in Jericho and you could feel your insides turning upside down. She was in danger — she was sent to Nevermore, taken away from you, to fit in, to belong somewhere, just like her parents did. You could understand that — not agree, but you understood. And she said she would write to you — and Wednesday’s words were like promises. At least you thought they were. You trusted her completely — you wrote to her all the time, your manager scolded you for that, but what else could you do? You love her — and she loves you too, in her own way.
You were sure of it until she entered Nevermore.
Now, you knew nothing — and the ache, tightness in your chest made you walk faster to the outcast school. You were not supposed to go there by yourself — the teenagers would surround you like a pack of wolves — but you had to see her. You had to talk to her. You needed something — anything.
Through the darkness you'd hide with me
Like the wind we'd be wild and free
There were so many girls and boys around you that you swore they had emerged from the ground. It was impossible that the news had spread so fast — you had barely stepped through the gate and they were already surrounding you. Purple uniforms and colorful hairs everywhere — but nothing black. Not even a shadow of the phantasmagorical figure you were looking for.
You chuckled at all the pleads and compliments — your smile made some teens gasp and scream, and you took your chance to move through the crowd. After taking dozens of photos with your stunning smile and autographing varied and indefinable objects, the crowd stepped back, amazed, contemplating your pictures and signatures and giving you time and space to wander through the school. It truly was a spooky and odd place, and it was no surprise why Morticia and Gomez loved it so much. No normie would endure studying in such an exquisite place — and you were sure Wednesday loved that place. There were references and homages of Edgar Allan Poe everywhere, and the statues and paintings made you hear her voice — made you remember all the nights Wednesday spent reading his tales and poems to you.
Some parts of the building had been newly renovated — rebuilt after the huge riot at the school. The riot you had to learn about from the news, not from Wednesday. A crazy teacher, a murderer monster and a dead-pilgrim. As long as you were concerned, one of the kids from Nevermore was wrongly arrested, and Wednesday was the one who figured out who the real monsters was. Still, you discovered these things from the news and from a gossip blog ruled by a werewolf from Nevermore. That’s it.
You had to find Enid Sinclair — or then the boy who got mistakenly arrested. You were sure the she-wolf was somewhere between the crowd you had just escaped from, and you would not come back. No, you had to find that Thorpe boy.
You said you'd follow me anywhere
After asking a few questions, you finally discovered where the artist was. He was popular at school, known for his living-drawings, and he should be in his dorm or in his shed.
You went to his room, you knocked and you got no reply — then you went to the shed. A small building made of wood — a perfect place for hiding, or torturing someone. Wednesday would like it.
You knocked and, this time, the door was open for you.
“Hello.” You held out your hand for him, but he didn’t shake it. His fingers were soaked in paint, so were his clothes. “Nice to meet you, I’m Y/N.”
“I know who you are.” He said, a frown of confusion between his eyebrows. “I’m Xavier Thorpe. Why are you here?”
“I’m looking for someone and…I was wondering if you could help me.” You smiled. “Her name is Wednesday Addams. Do you have any idea where I can find her?”
His expression of confusion became one of anger. “If she didn't tell you, it’s because she doesn't want you to find her.”
“Do you know her?”
“Yes.”
“Funny.” You smirked. “I never imagined she'd be friends with someone like you.”
“Like me?”
“An elitist snob.” Your words made him step back, revealing some of the paints inside the shed. Among all the frames and canvas, there was a painting of a girl with her cello. Wednesday with her cello. The tightness in your chest grew harder. “Now, will you tell me where she is or not?”
The door of the shed was shut in your face. You could hear Xavier cursing on the other side of the wooden wall.
Who was he to be painting Wednesday? Who was he to be protecting Wednesday?
Wednesday was the last person in the world who needed protection, and behavior like his would make her furious immediately.
How could they even be friends?
You tried to shake your anger away and walked back to the quad of Nevermore.
Before the turmoil of teenagers could reemerge around you, you hid in the corner of the hallway and took a deep breath. The tambour your heart had become an artillery of noises in your ears: your own breathing was too loud, and you would've sworn you could hear the blood rushing in your veins if not for a whisper.
A low, worried, gentle whisper. Unlike any you had ever heard before.
“Yeah, but I’m worried about her, Yoko.” You followed the voice with careful steps. “Tyler and Wednesday dated…They kissed. They had something, no matter how much she denies it.”
“But she isn't going to talk about it with you, is she?”
“I dunno…That’s why I’m so worried. She can’t pretend it didn’t happen. I mean, she shouldn't.”
“Do you think she was in love with him?”
You tripped. You tripped and your body hit the wall, revealing to everyone your position. Including to the two whispering girls.
Your mind could not bear the answer of this question, nor could your knees: your whole being was shaking by the idea that Wednesday would have betrayed you. No.
Wednesday Addams would never.
But she also said she would never leave you.
A chill ran through your body as the outcasts surrounded you again — including Enid and Yoko. They were smiling, gasping, worshiping you, and all you could think about was Wednesday.
Where was she?
Then you found her. A black shadow who stood in the middle of the purple: a blank, serious face among all the blushed and passionate expressions.
She wasn’t trying to meet you, she wasn’t trying to be near you, she was simply trying to walk down the corridor. The corridor that now is filled with your fans — and her.
Her gaze landed on you for less than a second: the dark orbs you have grown to love and cherish so much; the look that scared everyone else, but not you, it enamored you. And that same look now showed you — and made you feel — nothing but coldness.
Completely coldness.
But your eyes Tell me you won't be there
You left Nevermore as soon as possible.
Now I'm running away, my dear
From myself and the truth I fear
One night. One night and you will leave the hotel with your band to set up in the town square. The stage and bleachers had already been built, and in less than 24 hours the green grass would be filled with young people, normies, and outcasts from all over the region. Hundreds, thousands of people, and there was still only one person you could think about — Wednesday.
You couldn’t forget her look. Her gaze. The way her eyes moved away from you, so coldly — like never before. Something’s changed, something’s happened, and now you know what. Who.
Tyler Galpin — the Hyde, happened. He was the reason behind your dozen unanswered letters; the reason behind her coldness; the reason behind the fire that crawled over your skin until you screamed at the top of your lungs. The pillow isn’t enough to muffle your shouts, your anger, your pain — you had to do something.
You had to talk to her.
My heart is beating, I can't see clear
How I'm wishing that you were here
You were risking everything. You were risking your career, your band, your reputation, your life, because of her. For her. You were committing a crime, breaking into Nevermore surroundings after curfew, only to see her.
It was not the first you broke the law and any type of common sense for her, but this time was different. This time, it felt wrong.
“Wednesday.” You breathed her name after reaching the balcony of her room. The ledge was quickly climbed over by you, an insignificant climb to reach her — but you did not expect she would be there, on the other side.
As if she was waiting for you. As if your steps, now resounding briefly in the middle of the night, were the beginning of the end; the introduction of your last show; the last concert you both would listen to together.
“Hi.” You stepped closer. She didn’t move. “I...I've been trying to talk to you.”
Not a word. Not a reaction. Not even a single blink.
Your posture then changed. Your gaze grew wider, firmer, and your shoulders stiffened as you stuck your hands in your pockets. “I've met some of your friends.” You smirked, but the twist on your lips wasn’t one Wednesday knew. This one held anger. “Xavier, Enid…And I've heard about this Tyler guy too.” The twist on your lips became larger: you were smiling. You smiled while trying to not scream again, your whole body burning and your throat itching for relief. For an answer. For a fucking reaction. “Is there anything you want to tell me, Nessie?” Your voice changed again, for a brief moment, it sounded normal, familiar, warm — it sounded sad. Hurt. But you only allowed your pain to show for this briefest moment. “If not, I'll leave. I will leave and you will have only silence from me.” Nothing. Nothing. She did nothing. “No letters, no crystal ball calls, no serenades. Only silence.”
Only silence. That’s what she was already giving you — that’s what she wanted since the very first moment she went to Jericho. Since she met Tyler. Since she forgot you.
You snorted. You snorted so loudly and scornfully that the sound of your laughter made her stomach churn. You were not the only one holding yourself back — you were not the only one trembling, scared, hurt. Wednesday felt frozen as you felt about to burst, she couldn’t move as you couldn’t stay still. You could not wait for her, wait for a reaction, wait for scraps of her love — not anymore.
“Your wish is an order.” You turned away and climbed the ledge once again. Your head was shaking, so were your hands and so were your eyes; every part of you was shivering in an uncontrollable turmoil, your chest beating so loud that its sound made you dizzy, made you mind pulse with its hectic pace.
It made you feel a pain that you did not even know was possible — it made you suffer like never before, like you’ve never even imagined. It made you blind and dazed, it made you angry and sad, it made you heartbroken.
And it also made you relieved. Relieved and frayed enough to not notice the look on her eyes.
To not notice the tear falling down her cheek.
To not notice that she could not bear your silence. That she could not be without you.
I got to learn how to love without you
I got to carry my cross without you
“Ladies and gentlemen, weirdos and freaks, beloved and hatered!” You spoke on the mic, your throat faltering due to the effort, your face covered in sweat as the guitar weighed on your shoulders, your blood rushing through your veins even quicker because of the crowd's screams. Your concert was packed, a complete success — and about to end. “Today, we finish in a different way. Today, the last song is for someone I know.” The crowd screamed even louder. “For someone I loved. For someone that might even be here…” You smirked and took a deep breath, waiting for the crowd to calm down before speaking again. “This song is for you, Nessie.”
Stuck in the middle and I'm just about to
Figure it out without you
You sang your heart out:
And I'm done sitting home without you
Fuck, I'm going out without you

It's a time when your inner fire burns with purpose, and you're willing to go to great lengths to achieve your goals. However, this transit isn't all sunshine and roses. In Scorpio, Mars dives deep into emotions, making life feel more turbulent compared to the balance-seeking, harmony-loving aims of Libra Season.
Mars in Scorpio: The Depths of Desire and Secrecy
Mars in Scorpio is a potent and enigmatic transit—the Wednesday Addams of planetary transits—that delves into the deepest desires and motivations of the human psyche. Scorpio is a sign that operates in the shadows, preferring to keep its true intentions concealed beneath layers of mystery. When the fiery planet Mars, which represents our willpower and physical energy, ventures into Scorpio, it's like setting a bonfire beneath those hidden layers, revealing the intensity and tenacity that lie beneath.
At its core, Mars in Scorpio is about surreptitious ambitions and secret victories. This transit encourages us to tap into our most profound desires and transform them into action. The energies of Scorpio are all about regeneration, and Mars, the planet of action, carries the determination needed to propel these profound transformations.

Tenacity: This transit fuels your determination. When you set your sights on a goal, you'll stop at nothing to achieve it. Mars in Scorpio can be a powerful force for overcoming obstacles and persevering through challenges.
Investigation and Research: Scorpio's association with depth and the unseen makes it an excellent time for investigative and research-related pursuits. Whether it's solving a mystery, delving into psychology, or uncovering hidden truths, you'll have the drive and determination to dig deep.
Secretive Power: Mars in Scorpio operates on a more secretive and private level. You may not be overt about your ambitions or the steps you're taking to reach your goals. Instead, you prefer to work behind the scenes, quietly amassing your power and influence.
Transformation: Scorpio is all about regeneration and rebirth, and with Mars's assertive energy, this is a time of personal transformation. Old habits and situations are cast aside, making room for new and more empowered versions of yourself.

Hey!! You did such an awesome job on the latest chapter I wanted to show my appreciation with this uncanon mini fic of your version of the characters.
The group of ragtag "friends" have been hunting the rogue Hyde for a couple of hours now when Enid notices something about her brown haired doppelganger.
Woe & Wednesday are leading the pack in front with the two Enids defending the rear of the group, when Enid turns to make a conversion with her 'twin' , when she notices a lost look on her face, looking at Woe with both longing and ...fear?
"Hey" Enid whispered concerned to her new friend.
"You ok over there" Enid smiled trying to keep her voice light.
Saint Claire looked over at Enid, eyes swirling with emotions that looked so unfamiliar on a face that was so identical.
Saint Claire let out an almost inaudible sigh, all sense of bravo leaving the woman.
" I always believed Willa when she spoke about her adventures, even when I first met her, I knew she wasn't one to lie for the sake of it, but seeing you...it's brought up alot of things I thought I had shut out a long time ago" Saint Claire broke eye contact with Enid, returning her eyes to her headstrong mate.
"You know the only reason Willa came to Nevermore was to find you. To find the blonde haired sunshine Werewolf who warmed her heart for the first time, instead she got me. " Saint Claire returned her eyes to Enid a sad smile twisting her lips. A smile that didn't suite the usually happy woman.
"I comforted myself with the knowledge that Willa grew to love me for me. That you were dimensions away with your own Wednesday and that I was the one there with her...but you turning up has brought back all those feelings of not being enough. Of not being the one she actually wanted. Of being not only a second rate shifter in my own family but a second rate Enid as well. And I'm sorry I know its not your fault. It's not even Willa's fault but now I'm terrified that when you all leave again, Willa will just be more disappointed that I don't measure up."
Enid felt her heart breaking for Saint Claire. She couldn't help feeling guilty for something she knew wasn't her fault. She drew closer to her feline friend. Resisting the urge to hug her.
"You don't have to be me, Woe may have developed a crush on this charming face but who wouldn't " she winked and nudged the brunette, earning a reluctant smile.
" But I know the look in Woes eyes when she looks at you, it's the same look I see all the time in my Wednesday. That girl not only loves you but she 'Addams' loves you. And we both know there's nothing more powerful than when an Addams gives you their love."
Saint Claire let out a small smile at Enid before giving a tiny nod. She then plastered a slightly fake big grin on her face before stalking forward to annoy Taylor.
Enid cast her eyed to the two gothic leaders at the front when Woe caught her eye. A quick nod in thanks she recieved before Woe turned her attention back to the map in her hands.
Wow... I mean... WOW! 🤯😳
I can't begin to describe how euphoric this has left me. A fanfic of my fanfic! And it's great!
I have no idea when it would happen or how to fit it into what I have in mind for the story, but I think we can consider this conversation canon adjacent for Kooky Spooky.
Thank you so much @haveawish! 😄

x-x-x-x-x-x
Wednesday did not believe she cared about places and things. Generally speaking it is true – she does not care about her surrounding so long as her body may tend to its needs, and her possessions could be lost, for they can all be replaced. She is not sentimental. She never has been. Everything turns to dust eventually, and she is no exception to this rule.
Except...maybe she is sentimental. Maybe in the deep, darkest crevices of her black little heart, there is some measure of ache for the homes she once knew, and the items lost to time… her old dorm room at Nevermore; the snood she left behind to escape the Hyde. Curiously, her sentimentality seems tied to Enid, as many things seem to be – As if Enid is the key to Wednesday remembering her humanity and the place it has in her life.
Whatever the case, Wednesday may deny it. She will definitely, in fact. Especially now, as she stands in the empty shell of her old apartment, a suitcase in hand, feeling a sense of dread as she faces the last few moments within the confines of this dark and dreary space. It has been such a perfect home for her.
Enid approaches, taking a thoughtful look around, before nudging Wednesday’s side. She offers a reassuring smile. Wednesday feels herself settle slightly.
“It’s totally crazy, right?” Enid says softly. “We’re about to head to our new home.”
Wednesday notes a bloodstain on the carpet, previously hidden by her couch. She had forgotten about it, and finds the slightest hint of a smile tugging at her lips as she is reminded of how her darling brother had nearly bled himself half to death in that spot, upon insisting he could sew his own sutures faster than she. He was wrong, and nearly died. It was wonderfully entertaining. The bloodstain is a permanent fixture and one Wednesday adores – but she also desired a larger couch, so it was regretfully covered up. It is nice to get a final look at it before she leaves. Enid has also looked at it, but has very wisely decided not to ask. She is not built for such stories.
Wednesday takes Enid’s hand, guiding them gently away so they face into the kitchen instead. She looks at her empty counter tops.
“It is certainly a strange feeling.” Wednesday agrees, her voice somewhat wistful before dropping back into it’s usual monotony. “But all things must end.”
She then glances at Enid, frowning in thought.
“Are all of your things packed?”
“Yeah! I don’t know who those guys are that your parents called, but they’re super efficient. And pale.”
“My mother’s legion of undead helpers,” Wednesday answers, nodding slightly. “They do not divulge in conversation much, but they are very hard workers.”
Enid looks speechless for a second, but shakes herself out of it, smiling amusedly. It seems she is perhaps fully catching up to the Addams’ kooky ways and is realising it is better not to question it, but simply accept the weirdness as it comes. It lights a small flame of pride in Wednesday’s chest. Despite what her blank expression and dry tone may indicate, she can only feel delight at knowing she is about to start living with this piece of sunshine-made-human… Any other version of her would’ve baulked, called herself pathetic… but Wednesday feels nothing but a deep and admirable warmth as she watches Enid pad gently into the kitchen and playfully spin in a circle. She is ridiculous, yes; perhaps overwhelmingly colourful too – but Enid is the only person that Wednesday could ever accept that from. More than accept. Adore, even.
Enid spins again, stumbling slightly and laughing.
“I’m going to miss this kitchen.” She says idly.
“You’re going to miss my kitchen?” Wednesday asks, as her brow quirks upwards.
“Yeah I spent a lot of time in here.”
“Eating my food, I remember.”
Enid stops dancing around, approaching Wednesday to steal a kiss from her lips. She smiles.
“I didn’t see you complaining.” She replies.
Wednesday remains quiet. She glances to the side and tuts thoughtfully.
Enid simply smirks, her smile growing wider by the second as she takes Wednesday’s hands in her own.
“… I suppose not.”
Enid hums, satisfied with the answer. She then lets go, skipping towards Wednesday’s doorway to collect the backpack she left there, containing the last few essentials she held onto. Glancing at the time, Wednesday now realises – it’s time to go. As of midday this apartment is no longer hers. It’s five minutes past now, meaning she has already overstayed her technical welcome. It is time for some other poor fool to deal with the bloodstained carpet; tend to the random creaky pipes, and, consistently try to seek out the rat that lives in the wall. Truly it has been the perfect apartment. Hopefully her parents will find a tenant who will appreciate it as much as she did… or they’ll change the carpets, fix the plumbing and call an animal removal service. Unfortunate if the case.
Regardless, it’s time she leaves. Wednesday takes a few steps towards the door, feeling her stomach grow heavy. She turns her head back and pauses.
“What is it?” Enid asks, concerned suddenly.
Wednesday sighs, shaking her head. This sentimental pain is pointless. She stares for just a moment longer, taking in the meagre lighting, darkly painted walls and counter tops. Where they are heading is inarguably better; nicer than anything she could desire… but it is different, and Wednesday does not like different. Unless it is Enid. She can like it if it’s Enid.
She turns her head back to Enid now. Wednesday will face this change with a brave stoic face, knowing it is Enid who is the catalyst for desiring change at all. Wednesday refuses to let her pathetic emotions slow her down, anyway. She grabs her own bag and hoists it onto her shoulder.
Fishing the apartment key from her pocket, they then walk out together, silence falling as Wednesday locks the apartment for the last time. She will return the key to her parents later.
Enid takes Wednesday by her free hand and they walk together towards the stairwell.
As they exit the apartment building together, they see the last of the moving trucks disappearing off into the streets of New York, leaving just Lurch and the family car awaiting them. Wednesday is glad she convinced Enid to utilise her parents assets as opposed to booking an Uber. God forbid her first memories of arriving at their new home feature any potential for hearing modern pop music blasting from the shitty sound-system of some poor Millennial normie’s Honda civic. No, the hearse is a much better option.
Lurch takes their bags and places them in the trunk before swinging back around to the driver’s seat. Wednesday and Enid settle into the passenger seats, both staring out the window at the building that is no longer their home. Enid takes Wednesday’s hands and gives it a squeeze.
The car gently pulls away from the building. Enid hums softly. Relaxing back into her seat, she then closes her eyes and sits, a gentle smile playing her lips.
Wednesday turns her attention to her, gaze softening the second she sees the contented look upon her girlfriend’s face. There is a flurry of feelings running through her head right now. Anticipation seems to the one that wins out – a fluttery spark of something that has Wednesday on the metaphorical edge of her seat (although she would never sit in such a way), now that she has pushed away the space where her sentimentality had lived. She squeezes Enid’s hand in return.
Onto their next adventure.
The drive to their new apartment isn’t long – Not long enough, in any case. It is supposedly twenty minutes but it would seem that time is playing tricks, and it is most inconvenient. Annoying, even. Wednesday is in the middle of kissing at Enid’s neck after a conversation about their future – that Wednesday was completely fine and normal about – when the car judders to a stop, and the sound of boxes and furniture being moved fills the air around them. It would seem they have arrived. The engine clicks off.
Wednesday sighs slightly, pulling away.
“Some other time.” She grumbles as she mourns the loss of Enid’s electric touch.
Enid giggles sweetly.
“Priorities, Wends.” She hums, turning now to look out at their new apartment building. She freezes and gasps. There’s a dramatic pause. And then, quietly, two words tumble from Enid’s mouth. “Holy shit.”
Wednesday shuffles and peeks through the window herself. The slightest hint of a smile curls upwards on her mouth, and despite her prior angst, seeing Enid’s reaction settles something in her. This is perfect – and perfection is not something Wednesday finds easily.
“It is most impressive in person, is it not?” Wednesday says proudly.
Enid does not answer. Instead, she pulls the door of the hearse open, stumbling out, taking a few quick steps to stare up at the towering apartment block. Wednesday cannot see the grin on her face, but she knows it is there. Enid turns back to her then with that predicted smile plastered brightly upon her lips. Her hands gesture excitedly, urging Wednesday to join her.
And Wednesday does. She slides herself out of the vehicle, approaching Enid, coming to a stop a few steps earlier as she watches her mother’s legion of workers tend to their packed furnishings.
It’s happening. It’s really happening.
She and Enid stand outside the building for what seems like an hour, but perhaps is only fifteen minutes or so, before taking the elevator up to their apartment floor. As the doors open, they are met by a few of the movers, who greet them with an idle grunt as they trudge through the hall with their boxes.
Wednesday had visited the apartment prior to moving, but now as they enter it, their belongings strewn around them, it feels a lot different. Especially now Enid is here. It is more serious, almost; more real. But somehow nicer, too.
It’s been painted since Wednesday saw, a muted white contrasting against the decorative wooden beams across the ceiling. This new apartment is a modern yet cosy space, emulating some minor rustic design whilst remaining premium. Wednesday is glad for it. Whilst she enjoys the stark coldness of modern design, she finds it lacks character. This space certainly finds a palatable mid-point… and as for Enid? She is enamoured. More than enamoured, for she is walking around with a wet-eyed smile beaming across her face. Wednesday knows this is what she deserves – that is, the best.
There is no measure of shitty ‘hatred of change’ angst that could stop her relishing in this moment.
What follows is a whirlwind six hours as Wednesday and Enid direct and sort and begin to mould this space to their liking. With an open plan kitchen-diner, a separate living room, office, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, not to mention a balcony space – this new home certainly needs arranging. It takes a bit of negotiating (particularly as they argue whose bed will be theirs and whose becomes the guest bed) but they get it done. Fortunately the undead workers physically cannot complain. Then, as they go around each room, they decide whose furniture will go where. Wednesday mostly claims the office, though there are desks for them both, and Enid mostly claims the living room, her various gaming consoles filling the TV stand. Each space becomes a little of each of them, melding just as it did in Wednesday’s old apartment – only now, there is room for it to breathe. It is truly their space once and for all.
Then, comes the bookshelves. Perhaps one of the most important things when it comes to their personal belongings.
Wisely, the book shelves are placed in the small hall space between the living room and office, allowing them to be accessed from either room without much hassle. Wednesday takes left, Enid takes right. A simple agreement, thankfully.
Whilst sorting through a box, Wednesday happens upon a familiar book. Her own. The very same one she saw upon her first visit to Enid’s old apartment. How strange it seems to hold it now, after all this time. She picks it up, noticing the lightly furled pages and tattered spine. It has been read again since she last saw. It is a shame to see a book so worn but Wednesday can only assume that such poor condition means it is well loved, in a strange sort of way. She would not treat her own books this way but regardless it lights a small warmth in her black heart.
Enid glances over.
“Oh, You should read that! It’s super dark, totally up your alley.”
Wednesday holds it out to Enid, her face remaining stoic. Her eyebrow quirks slightly.
“An astute recommendation” She replies. “Though, you will be disappointed to know I have already read it.”
Enid takes the book, finding a slot for it in her bookshelf after a thoughtful hum. She pauses after, scowling, her mouth hung open in a silent question as she turns back. Her eyes brush over Wednesday’s own bookcase.
“You...don’t have your own copy though?” She queries.
A beat passes.
“I wrote it.” Comes Wednesday’s answer. “I have the manuscript.”
She expected her heart to thump when this moment came; for her stomach to drop into a pit or a void or something equally deathly, but no. Her admittance comes out simply as if recounting a news story. She is not sure why… No one, and she means no one knows her writer alias. In most cases, she would rather claw out her own vocal chords than tell someone. Wednesday has even neglected to tell Enid up until this point, feeling a sense of safety in knowing her writing remains a separate entity from herself – a voice she can escape to when the world is unbearable. Which is often, frankly. The world is largely a terrible and undeserving place.
Perhaps that is why she is suddenly so open to Enid knowing. Enid is too, a safe place for Wednesday to escape to, especially now as they begin their lives together living in the same space. Maybe this is just the last secret to let go of.
Wednesday cannot believe she has let go of them all in the first place. Love is truly a curse… but one she will bare with a white knuckle grip so long as it is Enid.
Enid stares at her. She blinks once; twice.
“What?”
“I wrote it Enid.”
“No...no I heard you, I just- what?!”
The slightest hint of a smirk pulls onto Wednesday’s face. If she had known this would be Enid’s reaction, perhaps she would’ve considered telling her sooner.
“Judging from your taste in colour, I know your eyes do not work properly...but do not tell me your ears are suddenly failing too.”
Enid plays mock offence and playfully hits Wednesday with one of her books. Wednesday hits back with a side glare, refusing to humour such childish behaviour. However it seems Enid is quick to change tact, as she suddenly discards the remaining books needing to be sorted back into the box and all but begs to talk about Wednesday’s book.
“Ohmygosh you have to tell me everything!!” Enid squeals.
Admittedly, this is not something Wednesday had prepared for.
Regardless, she just about allows herself to be dragged away from her precious organisation and into the (kind of organised) living room.
This consequently leads into another two hours of time disappearing, both Wednesday and Enid locked in conversation that mostly consists of Enid excitedly chattering. Wednesday does not mind, even with her mind constantly drawn back to the mess around them. She is glad what little information she offers provides such enjoyment – despite the fact her book itself is rather horrific, ironically. It is strange Enid likes it to begin with, though Wednesday supposes she should not be surprised that Enid breaks expectations. She always has.
And by the time they are finished, the sun has dipped out the sky and the night is drawing in. They have still not finished unpacking... Perhaps it was foolish to believe it could be done in one day, but Wednesday stubbornly wishes to keep working at it, determined to at least organise the last of the living room so she can feel a little bit not psychotic about the various boxes scattered around.
However, after only five minutes Enid is in her personal space, warm hands interlinking with Wednesday’s own, pulling her away from a box and to her feet. She is irritated she cannot continue… but cannot be mad at Enid when her eyes are so warm and her smile so loving. Enid pulls Wednesdays hands around her waist and begins to slowly rock from side to side. It is a poor imitation of dancing – not that Wednesday will say as much. Her heart thumps loudly in her chest, regardless. She does not understand why this is happening. Maybe she doesn’t need to.
“It’s been a long day.” Enid hums softly.
Wednesday begins to protest, stating she be allowed to keep working. Enid shushes her, holding tightly as they keep slow-dancing in place.
“No more tonight, Wends. We can work on it tomorrow.”
Wednesday goes to protest further, but is stopped by the gentle press of Enid’s lips against hers. The kiss is sweet, captivating, filled with a contentedness that seems to have only grown as their living quarters has. It is electric. It’s just… Enid.
“We can work on it tomorrow,” Enid repeats. “And the next day...and the day after that too. Until it’s done.”
Wednesday frowns.
“You underestimate my organisational skills.”
Enid kisses Wednesday again, a soft laugh tumbling out of her mouth against Wednesday’s lips. She slowly spins Wednesday around as they dance.
“Let me be romantic, baby.” Enid smirks.
They continue to dance. It slowly becomes more composed, as Wednesday subtly leads Enid into the right positions; shows the right steps. After some time, they are nearly waltzing – the boxes on the floor long forgotten, even by Wednesday herself. It is ridiculous. Dancing in a living room… what is the purpose, truly?
There is no purpose, Wednesday supposes to herself. It is simply done because one wants to. She did not know she wanted to until Enid made it so. What a strange thing.
Wednesday lets out a sharp hum.
“Fine.” She replies, but her soft gaze betrays her blunt tone.
And so they dance more. And they kiss. In their new home that they share. Perhaps they will dance all evening and simply just enjoy the new space they find themselves in. It might be messy right now, and it might take some time to adjust… but Wednesday does not think she would change it for the world. She can only hope Enid feels the same.
It’s taken them a short while, with old wounds re-opened and reddened once more – but this time, they’ve gotten to heal right. They’ve gotten to heal together.
And Wednesday… well, she is not alone.
And that suits her.
Just fine. x-x-x-x-x-x A/N:
Hello, my loves
This is the end of Old Wounds. Thank you so much for joining me as I wrote this fic over the last 8 months. It's been such a joy to write :D
Thank you for every comment and kind word. It's really meant a lot <3
As of posting this (8th August 2023), I will be taking a short break from fanfic writing - however, please keep an eye out because I have two fics planned! A oneshot based in the same universe as Old Wounds (but able to be read separately), alongside an entirely new multi-chapter!
As always, thank you for reading. I'll see you in the comments.

Encanto Dracula AU
I’ve had this idea for awhile and I kept thinking I would get to it. I just think I have the steam for it. Maybe I will later but here’s bullet points for now.
Dramatis personae:
Agustín as Jonathan
Julieta as Mina
Pepa as Lucy
Félix as Arthur
Bruno as Van Helsing
@madrigaljail ‘s OC Jose as Seward
Probably Osvaldo as Quincy
Dracula and the Weird Sisters are just themselves but in Brazil.
-Agustín is a lawyer who wants to take on one last job outside of the Encanto before moving there permanently. Probably to prove himself or something like that. The job is deep in the Brazilian jungle and he’s helping a man move to Bogotá. He figures all the locals are spooked he’s headed to this out of the way hacienda deep in the jungle.
-Meanwhile Pepa gets three proposals. Julieta can’t wait for her betrothed to get back.
-Agustín figures out he’s in a Dracula AU but is stuck. The place is crawling with alligators or anacondas at Dracula’s command.
-Drac takes a snack of Agustín. Drac invited him there because he knows where the Encnato is and being filled with his blood will get him past the miracle.
-We ponder about Gus’ fate while the girls are getting excited for a wedding day. Sure a group of travelers show up and say they felt like they were being watched the whole time but it’s fine.
-Julieta gets word that Gus is alive and runs off to get him. (Getting in and out of the valley is a little easier for things to work here.)
-Meanwhile Pepa gets sick.
-“Hey where’s Bruno?” Well he started having visions of something he didn’t understand attacking home. He left 5 ish years ago to try and study what it could be. He comes home with a cool hat, trench coat, blood transfusion supplies, and a vampire hunting degree.
-Alma is in the background constantly annoyed by her wayward children.
-Julieta and Gus marry. Pepa almost bites it but Julieta’s gift saves her. Meanwhile an un-named other person is killed by Dracula because all the travel made him hungry.
-The suitor squad with Bruno go through the whole seeing a vampire lady drink kids and all that jazz.
-Bruno, Julieta, and a still alive but forever changed Pepa put everything together.
-Dracula force feeds Julieta his blood and that whole angst happens.
-Jose:“Why can’t we find him? It’s like he’s hiding in the walls somewhere?”
Bruno: “Now that’s just silly.”
-Eventually Dracula says screw it and goes after Alma. Big confrontation near the church. Julieta gives herself to Drac and they make out but Dracula screams in pain. Julieta had some of the communion bread which she bakes in her mouth.(Stealing this end from a play version I saw of Dracula) Doesn’t hurt her because of the whole healing thing.
-Dracula, now weakened, gets stabbed by Gus.
-The Madrigals are forever changed by this. Julieta can see in the dark but can still cook with garlic thankfully. Gus is still a klutz but it takes a lot more to hurt him. Pepa struggles under her own sunshine but Félix gladly holds an umbrella for her want ever the weather. Mirabel is born and probably has some vampire elements but she’s alive and then canon probably happens with everyone in Addams family aesthetics. And Bruno doesn’t leave again he’s just figured out how to lie to his mother. I think. The ending is something I’ve struggle to plot out. In theory, the other vampires are running amok, and that could be a thing in the future idk. Jose and Bruno get together. It’s a happy-ish ending.

i need to write a guy avari redemption arc main-story rewrite where he gets his ass whooped by the mc and learns to respect women. i want a version of guy where he's in love with and obsessed with the mc in a gomez addams kinda way. i want a story where he expresses some real emotions besides being possessive or angry or whatever. i want a story where guy cries a little, even. guy needs to experience ego death lol
also a story where he learns to be nicer to his little brothers. like bro aquia adores you and you won't even look at him. what are you doing. aquia is like cotton candy and sunshine became a person, it's not his fault he has an awful mother. if you hugged him he'd probably die of happiness.

Forms of Ranchers I adore
Malewife sunshine boy and his simp that adores him to embrassing lengths
Normal Wet Blanket Boy and His Feral Cat Like Creature boyfriend (there’s reasons why I made Tango a cryptid in that au)
Tumblr media
Hey you made me realize that I've kinda accidentally been imagining ranchers as the broke cringefail cowboy version of Gomez and Morticia Addams.

Solitaire
★★★★★ - 5 stars
“My name is Victoria Spring. I think you should know that I make up a lot of things in my head and then get sad about them. I like to sleep, and I like to blog. I am going to die someday.”
Tumblr media
Solitaire was Alice Oseman’s first novel – published when she was aged 17 – about mental illness through an unreliable narrator. Tori Spring, our narrator, and main character is an extremely pessimistic teenage girl who spends a predominant amount of her time blogging, watching films, and drinking diet lemonade.
Alongside the issues that follow Tori just from being a teenager living life, a mystery lurks throughout the story. A trial of post-it notes leads Tori to a room, a room that tells her to go to a blog page called ‘Solitaire’. Solitaire started out as an empty blog, and then strange things began to start happening around Harvey Greene Grammar School. Solitaire is most certainly behind it, ending every blog post they make with the line ‘Patience Kills’. In the process of investigating Solitaire, Tori meets somebody: Michael Holden. In juxtapose to Tori, Michael is an extroverted, human version of sunshine, who loves to ice-skate and has an undying need to be friends with Tori.
Tumblr media
Littered with pop culture references: Star Wars, Pride and Prejudice, Donnie Darko, Harry Potter, The Simpsons, Sherlock Holmes, and the Addams Family; Radiohead, The Smiths, The Police, Madonna, the list goes on and on. The large number of pop culture references adds a sense of realism to Tori’s character – as though she were a real-life teenager and not just a fictional one – giving her interests and opinions about things that we watch and read and listen to in day-to-day life.
Solitaire handles serious topics, especially along the lines of mental health issues. The story is told through the lens of a main character who is highly insinuated to have depression. Eating disorders, self-harm, suicide, and suicidal ideas are also mentioned. Questions implemented throughout the story, often as anonymous questions on Tori’s blog (‘chronic-pessimist’ is a real blog that can be found on Tumblr, created by Alice Oseman), leave the reader questioning many things about life, such as ‘Why do people believe in God?’ and ‘Why do cars always part for ambulances?’
With relatable characters and intriguing storylines, Solitaire will keep you hooked until the very last word.

This is really random and you don’t have to acknowledge this but I have to say it. I was rereading some of your stuff and came across Right answers, wrong questions. For some reason seeing It made me realize that I have had the same type since I was a kid.
Raven, Shego, Jade West, and Emo Wanda (I love all versions of her but it all stemmed from emo Wanda)
I was conditioned from the start
I don't think you understand how much in love I was with Wednesday Addams. You can't tell me that there's not a bit of her in Wanda.
You forgot Rogue from X-Men. I also had a huge crush on Kat Stratford from 10 things I Hate about you (you can see the angry issues pattern can't you?); and Zuko (Avatar), Kevin Levin (Ben 10) both sad emos.
Dwayne (Little Miss Sunshine) is until this day my spirit animal and the most accurate representation of my relationship with my family.
We are both conditioned from the start I'm afraid.

Wednesday: A supernatural mystery
Tumblr media
I dove into this series having already seen some clips repeatedly on social media, but nevertheless, that fact did not stop me from enjoying it. As a lover of mystery and wanting to constantly feel like a detective, this series was surely up my alley.
From the very beginning, the character of Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) already charmed me. To me, she is somehow the female version of Sherlock Holmes. Somewhat abhorrent to emotion, a bit of a sociopath or merely an introvert. I immediately adored her and she instantly became one of my most favorite TV characters.
Going into this, I know nothing about the world of the Addams family although I have heard of them through social media or word of mouth from friends. The gothic aspect was just the tip of the iceberg for me and I gotta say, I don't blame people for being into this sort of lifestyle because too much color can be painful for the eyes (Sorry Enid!)
Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) also charmed me as the sunshine opposite to Wednesday's grumpy. Grumpy-Sunshine is a familiar trope to me. I don't enjoy that very often yet I can see a possible enjoyment in that trope in the future.
A good mystery for me is a story that keeps me guessing and sometimes proves my guess wrong. This is one perfect example because to tell you honestly, my guess was solid by the sixth episode but when I watched the eighth episode, my guess was proven wrong and I was flabbergasted. I love those types of mysteries and I am craving for more of those stories.
The other characters Tyler, Xavier, Eugene, Bianca, Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley and Principal Weems are all essential to the plot, but the two characters that charmed me the most were Wednesday and Enid. One scene between the two of them was just perfection.
I may have rambled writing this, but that is because this series have had me in a chokehold. I think about the dance everyday, and I could rewatch this series even though I already know what's gonna happen.
Netflix, SEASON 2 PLEASE!

watched the first episode of the wednesday addams show because i was bored here are my thoughts
1. i never say no to a good magic boarding school but i feel like the idea of wednesday getting to nevermore and still being an outcast is really boring and it would be extremely funny if she was actually very popular and hated it.
2. i don’t like that wednesday has issues with her parents in this version, the whole appeal of the addams family is that they’re a bunch of weirdos who wholeheartedly love each other.
3. i can already tell there is going to be a love triangle with the generic guys whose names i keep mixing up and i am not here for it.
4. if wednesday and enid aren’t lesbians then why grumpy/sunshine, why wednesday saying she never wants to fall in love and be a housewife like her mother, why enid wearing a sweater with the lesbian pride colors on it???
5. admittedly it has only been 1 episode but i am not a fan of the fact that the only black characters in the show are antagonistic bullies.
6. it’s extremely funny to me that this show is set in vermont. as someone who lives in new england it’s just funny to hear everyone at the goth boarding school talking about burlington.

the 90s addams family are fine except for how judgemental they made the kids in the second movie and how that influenced a new generation of pick mes. Everyone idolizes the Gomez and Mortisha in the 90s because they're more sexual compared to the show and I have mixed feelings on that and them as a whole (no offense to Julia and Huston) but let me stop before I get flamed. And meh i don't mind the rants at all. You have alot of opinions and they are all very valid.
Also dw the addams family fandom isnt exactly sunshine and roses with all the infighting and hostility (which is to be expected when you have two different generations claiming their addams family is the definitive version) . The munsters fandom seems more chill even tho its quieter.
I feel the same way!
There are definitely worse families out there but frankly I wouldn't want to be an Addams. The wealth would sure be nice (probably the #2 appeal after the goth aesthetic) but I couldn't handle living with a bunch of people who think trying to kill me is fun, who hate things I love (pastels, the Sound of Music, the outdoors, etc).
As for that ship, oh my gosh you're right about the pickmes, I thought I was the only one who noticed! (Not everyone who likes the ship is one necessarily but I've definitely noticed they attract... certain types of people. Girls who need lots of attention from guys and guys who want a super sexual goth gf who doesn't have a life outside their marriage.) I personally don't think Tish and Gomez have anything you can't already find in a Disney film (except even Disney couples usually have more conflict, and I think they're cuter), and as someone once pointed out to me, that relationship is all give and take... as in, Gomez gives and Tish takes. Where's the mutual affection and giving like Herman and Lily have?
And the sexualization of them really weirds me out. For example, the costumes Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas did. They look very good, don't get me wrong, but they don't look like the characters to me. They look like people trying to make the Addams sexy, which is really funny when you think about it. The entire point of the AF is that they're not supposed to be conventional or attractive, but fans try so hard to make them both when they're actually just a bunch of morbid weirdos who enjoy unpleasant things and aren't supposed to be hot but creepy. If you want hot goths, watch Elvira, Vampira, or one of the many hot modern Draculas. (But now I'm curious! What issue do you have with the 90s version? I've never met anyone else who takes issue!)
Anyway, the AF fandom is definitely more unpleasant than the Munsters one. I guess there's an upside to being a smaller fandom! AF fans are always hating on other characters or real life people (the "normies") but Munster fans really are chill. I have never even seen fighting and hate from us till Rob's movie was announced, and I'm not sure many of those people are actually fans rather than casual viewers.
