Everyday I think about the fact that Kalim clearly lied to his and Jamil’s families about the reason why Jamil overblotted to protect him

Everyday I think about the fact that Kalim defended Jamil against people who wanted to throw him out and took responsibility for being a contributing factor in Jamil’s overblot.

Everyday I think about the fact that Kalim had an inkling of a thought that Jamil was using his signature spell on him, and even under Jade’s spell, he didn’t reveal it was Jamil.

Everyday I think about the fact that Kalim was very willing to just believe that he was blacking out and Jamil wasn’t manipulating him if Jamil just said so. He’d rather believe a lie he knew wasn’t true then acknowledge that the one person he thought he could trust was doing this to him.

Kalim does not play when it comes to Jamil.

thinking about writing a fanfic with self-aware twst, but the characters are aware they're in a fanfic. orz it may sound silly, but i think it would be fun to write something where [insert yan!twst character here] just interrupts the plot and addresses the reader specifically with something like: "you're probably not even inserting your real name, right, (name)?"

perhaps it's too meta, but it's so interesting to me?? i haven't the faintest clue how i'd go about writing a fic like that with an intriguing plot that progressively gets more horrifying as it goes on, and it'd likely be more of an experimental fic than anything. but omg it would be so fun to write.

hmmm,,, maybe i could use epistolary format, whether in the form of letters (to the reader) or diary entries. something where the character realizes they're in a fanfic and can only do so much, so they write their own little notes to the reader. or it's placed between the words or certain words are in another color (like red or blue) and it spells a message if you take all of the words and put them together. :O

so essentially you'd be reading a completely normal yan!twst fanfic, but when you put the words together it's the twst character addressing you and not the (name) you're meant to project onto.

AAAAA T_T i'm sorry for senseless ramblings. this is what happens when i think too much about the meta nature of a yan!rook fic i have planned.

Ok but what about twst characters playing the game?

(Note that I don't actually play the game because it's not out in my country, so those are just a few headcanons)

- They are all using one account, since the game appeared via magic and there's only one device,

- They mostly just let Idia speedrun everything and just watch the story, unless they consider a battle to be "personal" like the overblots,

- The gacha is fueled by Kalim, Malleus, Idia and Leona (though he only does that for his cards),

- They managed to beat the Prologue and Book 1 in a day, with time to spare to beat Book 2,

- But the Riddle flashback was a bit tough so they played the tsum event to unwind (after raiding the entirety of the island for tarts, that is),

- Everyone now dreads the ending of the chapters because of the flashbacks, even though that's a form of therapy,

- They have meals based on the current chapters (tea parties for Heartslabyul, Sunset Savanna cuisine for Savanaclaw, Monstro Lounge takoyaki for Octavinelle and so on)

- Nobody could stop laughing during the Ghost Marriage, several people almost fainted,

- The Harveston event was very cute and they all made plushies (Vil insisted),

- Overblot boys solidarity,

- Idia likes to use a team of the same character to beat the overblots (I used the Leonas to beat the Leona),

- Group therapies range from tarts to inpromptu plays where Vil is the hero, gaming sessions with Idia and positive reinforcement for Leona and Azul, not to mention giving Jamil a BREAK of a week or two,

- Crowley gets even more hate,

- The Twstunes would be hated but Idia is playing so it's alright,

- Good luck to the people who caused the trauma for the overblots (Riddle's mom, Azul's bullies) if they ever set foot in the school,

- The first years are giving everyone gray hairs,

- Nobody knows how Yuu, Ace and Deuce are still alive.

Riddle, defeating his overblot: Yes! Now we can advance to the next stage!

*One flashback later*

Yuu: So, who wants to commit murder! Or buy tarts for the sad child...

Lillia: YES

Ghost Marriage

Leona: Can't believe radish sprout finally left his room... What did this ghost even SEE in him?

Camp Vargas

Vil: If the monster hurts Epel, I'll kill it myself!
