ok so i just watched the first two episodes of Koisenu Futari and before I start the third one, does anyone know of a english sub that isn't by KaizenSubs? cause those are rough..

like, if not, I can wait another year or whatever but like..oof

i watched it subbed by KaizenSubs on twitter overlaid on the raw video. that was a year ago when it was brand new, so it should be available other places online now, but there is still no official english release

I have some gay show recommendations if you’d like to find more (idk what you’ve already seen tho)

- What We Do In The Shadows - Guillermo is gay, the vampires are all bi or pan and also polyamorous (this is explicitly stated and shown) the tv show is based off of the movie by Taika Waititi which has the same premise but different characters, you don’t need to see that to see the tv show but it is funny, season four is coming out rn

- Our Flag Means Death - gay pirates, and there are a lot of them (gay men, polyamorous bisexual woman, non-binary pirate), there’s going to be a season two

- Koisenu Futari - This is a Japanese show so it might take some work to access the episodes but it’s worth it, it’s about a girl who realizes that she is aroace and moves in with an aroace guy in an attempt to create a family without romance (two aroace characters, one lesbian character though she’s only in a few episodes) this is one of my favorite shows and if you are interested in it there’s a Twitter account called kaizensubs that you can request to follow who has made English subs for all of it, it’s also completed now

- Bad Buddy - this is a Thai BL show and it is very sweet, it’s been described as a Thai Heartstopper (which you should also watch or read if you haven’t) which the vibes are the same but this one is more enemies to lovers type thing, it’s about two childhood rivals falling for each other in university (gay character, Pansexual character, lesbian character, bisexual character) you can watch this one on Dramacool but you will need an adblocker, it is completed

- The Haunting of Bly Manor - this is sort of a sequel to Haunting of Hill House but the plots are not related, it is a horror tv show so be warned of that, Bly Manor is about a girl coming to help with a guys kids and creepy stuff happens but also she’s a lesbian and falls for the Gardner lady, the show doesn’t center on their relationship but it’s still fairly prominent, it is completed

Young Royals - This is a Swedish show on Netflix about the prince going to a boarding school and falling for another dude there, I do really recommend it but be warned it doesn’t really censor sexual scenes that much (Prince is unlabeled, love interest is gay) there is going to be a season two

Those are all just tv shows but I do have to say if you’re looking for a book I cannot recommend Iron Widow enough, it’s a sci-fi adaption of Chinese mythology (by a non-binary Chinese author who occasionally cosplays Robespierre) and it resolves a love triangle with polyamory, it was very good

hi! i've seen you posting about koisenu futari, and it's something I think I'd be interested in watching, but I'm not sure where to find it? I'd probably need english subtitles available but I dont mind whether theres an English dub or not, so I was just wondering if you know a good site/service i can watch it on? thanks!

hi!! when i watched it it wasn’t actually out on any streaming platforms/websites w subs yet, so i used VLC media player (which is a program you can go download online) and plugged in both the downloaded episode plus the subtitle file. This post might help you out a bit!

To go into more detail, here are the steps I took:

1) download VLC media player (you can just Google this and it’ll come up. It’s totally free)

2) download both the subtitle and episode files.

to download the episode, you can go to JRaws or any other website that has the raw (unsubbed) episode content.

to download the subtitles, go to @/KaizenSubs on Twitter (I think their account is private right now so you’ll have to wait for them to accept you) - they have a Google Docs where they keep the sub files, which are labelled (name).ass. Download this as well.

3) Once you have both downloaded, go into VLC media player and click ‘open media’ (this may vary depending on your version of the program). This is the screen you want:

4) Enter the raw episode file into the ‘choose a file’ and the sub file into the ‘subtitle file’. Then click ‘open’.

5) Enjoy the show! :)

It sounds a bit complicated but I promise it’s really not once you figure it out. If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask!

Koisenu Futari (2022)

I've talked about this show a lot on my main and I dont think I've mentioned it on here at all (which is a travesty tbh) but there's this Japanese drama called Koisenu Futari and it's about two aroace characters who decide they've had enough of amatonormativity and move into together and try to "make a family without romantic feelings" and it's utterly AMAZING!!!!! IT'S SO GOOD AND I CRY EVERY EPISODE BECAUSE OF REPRESENTATION!!!!

But anyway, you guys!! Koisenu Futari episode 4 is whumpy!!! There's gonna be whump in my canon aroace characters focused show!!! I'm excited!! Poor Takahashi fell down the stairs at the end of episode 3 and the promo for ep. 4 has him in a sling! Ahh!! I'm excited!

KaizenSubs on twitter is doing the subs for Koisenu Futari. So to watch: go to their twitter, find the release posts, there they direct people to where they can dl their subs as well as where to dl the raw episode that their subs are synced to.*

I recommend VLC player or similar for playing the episode once you have everything. All you need to do is open the raw ep in vlc, right click on the window, go to 'subtitle' and click 'add subtitle file' and then select the file KaizenSubs has blessed us with. Done! Enjoy~

*Ep 1 tells people to get the raw from nyaa si, while ep 2 directs people to a direct dl-ing site that has all the episodes. I just tested the ep 1 raw found on that site and it also syncs to their subs, so just get all the episodes from there.

hi! i have a post somewhere that i reblogged explaining how to watch it, but i cannot for the life of me find it atm. short answer is there is no official english sub right now so you'll have to download the episodes and subtitle files (fan sub was done by KaizenSubs on twitter). if you go in the tag there should be multiple posts explaining it in more detail. also if anyone has like found an easier way to watch it feel free to chime in lol

are there any online sites where i can watch the new kdrama? i tried looking and the sites are usually filled with an ungodly amount of ads to the point where i can’t click anything or it doesn’t have subtitles

Hey! If you're asking about Koisenu Futari, I don't think subtitles will be released online any time soon so I highly recommend you to follow KaizenSubs on twitter as they are currently subbing this drama! They always link the Google Drive folder where you can find the subs for all released episodes. In order to add subtitles, you'd need to download the raws on jraws.com or nyaa.si, then open the downloaded episode in VLC and add the subtitle file. I'm not sure how it exactly works on laptop or computer but hopefully you should be able to add subtitles easily. I'm watching the drama on iPad and I couldn't find an option to add subtitles from the Files app. I tried importing them separately and that also didn't work. So I went to Files app, moved both subtitles and the downloaded video to the VLC folder and gave them the same name so that's when it worked. I still prefer Infuse over VLC since you just need to import the subtitles separately and they're always available. But yeah, if you're not watching on iPad, I hope you'll figure it out easily!
