Rare Rainbow Clouds Appear in Iceland Thanks To Freezing Temperatures

These polar stratospheric clouds (PSC) paint the sky with different colored stripes. PSCs are a type of wave cloud that are most often found downwind of mountain ranges. As expected, Óskarsdóttir's stunning rainbow cloud images feature prominent mountains. The colorful clouds form when the lower stratosphere hits -114°F (-81°C).

okay so im rewatching the blade pv before i sleep and????

i think thats both il and dan heng depicted here, showing that despite the changes both he and blade have undergone, blade still associates the two as one even if dan heng is technically not the same as imbibitor lunae ;w;;

and their images overlap in his view much like when we see pre-struck blade in the pv reminiscing il, which then transitions into current blade staring at a figment of dan heng running him through with his spear like mentioned in the nameless honor light cone "nowhere to run"......

NOT TO MENTION THE YIN YANG CONTRAST OF LIGHT AND DARK, GOOD AND EVIL WITH THEIR PAST COUNTERPARTS??????

#good omens #jay reads good omens #this is the second time a scientific phrase has just been plonked down with no explanation. im #curious! i didnt learn this word until i was going atmospheric chem fjhshdhs which was a lot of like #rain nucleation atmospheric barriers and mixing and temperature and pressure gradients #more maths than the word 'chemistry' implies #and the different effects of compounds at different atmospheric levels like stratospheric clouds having the opposite albedo effect #and leading to ozone depletion or creation. i dont remember it very well. but this single word? giving me flashbacks

Nope. It’s not a painting, and it hasn’t been photoshopped either. These are polar stratospheric clouds over Iceland.

In Icelandic, polar stratospheric clouds are called glitsky, which roughly translates to “glitter cloud.” What makes them so unique to witness is that they can be even more elusive than the Aurora Borealis.

Polar stratospheric clouds form in the winter polar stratosphere at altitudes of 15 to 25 kilometres above sea level and are best observed during civil twilight, when the sun is between one and six degrees below the horizon. Normally, clouds do not form in the stratosphere due to its extreme dryness.

There are two distinct types of polar stratospheric clouds: Type I clouds are composed of nitric acid and water (and sometimes also sulphuric acid), while Type II clouds contain only water ice.

The first type plays an important role in Antarctic ozone destruction. They are also occurring with increased frequency in the Arctic.

i don’t think we as terumob nation talk enough about this stupid little moment. everyone’s having their pre-terrorism-takedown meal and talking about how there isn’t enough of them to take on claw on their own, and teru just HAS to mention how mob is the strongest most powerfulest little guy he knows (other than himself OF COURSE). and by the look on the awakening lab boys’ faces this is likely not the first time he’s done this in front of them, which makes sense if teru has been training them inbetween seventh division arc and now. mob’s “strength” is probably inserted into his teachings 98% of the time, as well as every little other detail teru knows about him.
