Hey there, just needed to say something quick. ALL of this misrepresentation about schizophrenia everywhere is ableism. People that say “schizophrenia is spiritual”, “schizophrenia is satanic”, “schizophrenia is demonic”, “schizophrenia means that you have demonic entities attached to you”, “schizophrenia means that you are in spiritual warfare with demons”, “schizophrenia just means that you are going through a spiritual awakening” is just so frustrating for people who ACTUALLY have this mental Illness or suffer from psychosis. It all comes from people who don’t even HAVE this illness or experience these things. It is dangerous to tell people who have or don’t have schizophrenia/ schizoaffective disorder, people who are on the schizo spectrum or people who experience psychosis that what they are experiencing is real and is caused from external forces or that they are just in a “spiritual awakening”. Stop spreading your misinformation on this mental illness and do some research, your ableism is showing. This goes to all of you new age spiritualists that say “people with schizophrenia just experience the world differently than us” No, we are suffering from psychosis/hallucinations or delusions. It is a mental illness, not what your idea of what schizophrenia may seem like to you. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, I’m not haunted or “woke” I’m mentally disabled, It is a mental illness PERIOD.

Leftism and inclusion leaving y'all's bodies as soon as medium to high support needs autistic people and people with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, any mental illness that makes you uncomfortable start asking to be treated with humanity and decency.

Therapy is not for the weak. It is not only for people dealing with mental illness. It is not only for women. It is not only for white people. It is not simply "talking about your feelings." It can be expensive, but there are options if cost is an issue. Going to therapy does not make you "weak." Going to therapy does not make you "crazy." Going to therapy does not make you "gay." Stop the stigma.

Stop being judgemental towards addicts
"Addiction is a choice, you're fucking up your body"
SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
When someone is addicted to elicit substances, you stop treating them like humans, when they overdose, you tell them that it's their own fault
But would you say that to me. I have a caffeine addiction. Last October I was drinking a litre and a half MINIMUM of black coffee before 1 o'clock in the day. That shit was so strong that people could smell it when I opened my bottle from across the room. I literally smelled like coffee. I went into withdrawal several times, and I was in agony and a complete and utter bitch, I cannot function without it, I have come close to caffeine overdoses many times because I would drink maybe x2 the recommend max in a day.
But you wouldn't judge me, it's just coffee, you wouldn't judge me, it's just caffeine tablets.
So why would you judge other people just because their addiction is different

yes mr evaluator, you screaming “PSYCH O!!!” in your title for your video about serial killers is completely necessary. /sarcasm
like you couldn’t just fucking say “serial killer” or some shit for your title
you don’t need to stigmatize and blame mental illnesses that have been demonized FOREVER for a catchy title (especially in the most obnoxious unoriginal fucking way)

In reality, people with mental illnesses are far more likely to be abuse victims than abusers. And abusers are far more likely to be neurotypical than mentally ill.

Addiction
TW: drugs.
I know many people look down upon those who suffer from addiction; "crackheads", "junkies", are words often thrown around when talking about someone who does drugs.
As someone who used to be addicted to c0caine, I can tell you I never went into it with the mindset of "I'm going to do this and get addicted". It was more of a "I won't get addicted, I can stop whenever I want to". You never realize you have an addiction until you are so far into it, and for some people, it's hard to get out of.
You just think you're going to have some fun, that it'll only be a couple times - and for some it truly is only that, and they are lucky - but then "just one more time" turns into another "just one more time". Until you're spiralling out of control.
Some people are so depressed that their only escape is that brief feeling of being high. And that's so sad to think about.
We often forget that those who do drugs are people, they are human beings, and that they have family, friends, people who love them.
Yes, sometimes they do wrong and it makes you angry; stealing, lying, anything to get that next hit... But they are people. Humans. They deserve a chance to better themselves, they are no less than you, as we all do wrong at some point in our life.
For those who have someone close to them suffering with addiction: You can't help someone who doesn't think they have a problem and you can't help someone who doesn't want that help. Be there to support them, it *will* get better. I know it's hard, it's annoying, sometimes you just want to scream at them to get better. Trust me, I know. I know how hard it is to see someone you love be addicted. It's hard when you, yourself, have overcome that addiction, and watch as others struggle with becoming sober, or those who don't think they have a problem.
I think the worst part of losing some to addiction who is actively trying to get better is that they will never have that chance anymore to get sober.

Reminder that your new favorite song hasn’t been found or made yet, your new favorite movie is still being pitched, and new friends are still looking for you and don’t even know it yet. You’ve yet to experience that one place you wanna go or have heard about, and you haven’t gotten to eat that food you really miss in a long time and you may be able to soon 💕
