So Anne Bonny is unironically right about Stede being a heartbreaker, like just look at how he interacts with Hellcat Maggie, Anne herself, Ed. This man just goes around dropping utterly cheesy lines without even a hint of awareness that he's flirting. I know there's some random saleswoman in the republic of pirates who fell madly in love with him because he was the first man to ever treat her like a lady and then she saw him and Ed on a date and now she's sobbing to her friends like "I can't believe he was gay the whole time"
Stede "why are all the good ones gay" Bonnet. Stede "the first man to bother to treat Blackbeard like a gentleman" Bonnet. Stede "got taught how to treat a lady of good breeding in etiquette class when he was 15 and autistically applied it to every woman he ever met regardless of social class for the rest of his life" Bonnet
The way a canon queer ship with two middle aged characters actually made it onto a BILLBOARD in Hollywood and made it to MFING TOWN-SQUARE is so so so special :)
This silly little gay pirate show is everything to me <33333
Which like things get dirty? Blackbeard has charcoal all over him and he grabbed the figures so they got charcoal on them, right. RIGHT?
NO
The same grime is not there on Ed's figurine. Ed's figurine only has his intentional painting. Not the seeming accidental smudging we see with Stede's.
So, is this smudging due to Ed holding/cradling the Stede figurine so much, that it gets all smudged from the charcoal on his hands or even HOLDING IT TO HIS FACE ????????? WHAT IF HE HAS KISSED IT?????
What a glorious peacock of a man! Perhaps not the greatest captain seafaring-wise; but Stede is a fabulous captain personnel-wise. A captain who makes sure is crew is fed, watered, has enough enrichment in arts & crafts, and does the voices during the bedtime story!
The BBC Ghosts' Captain is the weirdest little man ever. He likes expressionist classical music, he needs /order/ in his life (and everyone else's) but he also was probably definitely born in the wrong era? He's actually really soft as opposed to the rigid persona he takes on. He's dead. His favourite pastime while he was alive was pining for his second in command. His favourite pastime now is looking at ants. He acts as though there's no person in there except for ""soldier"", more specifically, ""Captain"". He is a character from a comedy show. He's played by Ben Willbond."
