One of my favorite tropes is two characters being trapped alone together and either having to work out their differences or admit their feelings, so please enjoy an array of sentence starters based in this idea. TW for being trapped, mentions of death, change pronouns and tense as necessary!

Survival. It was a word he'd associated with life long before he knew what it really meant. Yet these days it had a whole new meaning. After all. Everything had changed, and they'd made it. They'd survived. Even when everything seemed to go against them, some how they had managed to make it through.
This summer was sweeter than any other, they'd celebrated graduations. They'd celebrated hospital releases, and the peace that settled. Even if they were all paranoid it wouldn't last. Even if there was a looming discomfort on the horizon. Steve had learned to live for here and now. It was all that mattered any more.
The heat was stifling, a particularly humid night with the summer sky overhead speckled in stars, and yet he was still sweating. Steve had invited Eddie over. Since Robin was out of town and sleep seemed impossible even with the air conditioner running inside. He didn't want to be alone tonight. The blue glow of the pool painted him in refracted ripples and he took a slow drag on the joint he'd been passed.
Steve watched the other from the corner of his eyes. That dark hair pushed back behind one ear. Dark doe eyes stained blue by the reflection of the water. The scars had healed well too. Just made him look more 'metal' as Henderson had said. He was something Harrington had never anticipated. A wrench in the proverbial cogs of his relatively well settled life.
-Okay the last few years it wasn't settled at all, but he thought he knew himself well enough regardless.
His feet swayed idly in the cool water, shorts just long enough to get damp at the back of his knees. Their hands settled close to one another.
Maybe it was the heat getting to him, sweat dappled at the nape of his neck, curling his hair against the base of his skull. Or maybe it was the weed.
" Eddie...?" He murmured softly, brows creased.
But he was feeling weightless...
When those bright eyes turned to him and those perfect, cupids bow lips pressed, Steve couldn't help himself.
He reached up to brush the pad of his thumb against his bottom lip.
He'd never wanted to try kissing someone half as bad as he did just then.

In an abrasion rearing itself about as soon as having arrived at her current Plains Area abode. "Are you aware I'm being final? My condolences, if no!"
"As, u-unless this 'something' DIRECTLY correlates to the excavation, I hope it can wait-" However, her demeanor shifted about as suddenly as she noticed 'it' on you, locking her eyes, pale ones, illuminating like bulbs.
