Their hands entwined, Kyurem's arms around Hestia as they tightened the knot of fingers, afraid to let go.

The Original One slowly rested their own head against his, ice grey and coal black hair mingling together as if they'd always belonged together from the beginning. He'd already fallen asleep. His breath had fallen shallow and steady, warm against Hestia's cheek as they nuzzled the side of his head.

Was this what humans imagined heaven felt like? How silly of them, the One who'd know about heaven, to clamber and grasp for any semblance of it.
