cane users are valid-- we are pm full time cane users, and we're thinking about getting forearm crutches cause our cane isn't giving much support anymore. we have a rollator walker but its big and we're a little ashamed to use it cause things our mom says and how people will look at us. it's also big and we don't want to take up space. but our rollator walker helps a lot. we need to move out soon so we can be ourselves.. mom doesn't like the idea of us getting forearm crutches but we think theyll give us bettee support than our canes.. we are actively saving for a pair now.. - Pip

Just because you gained weight doesn't mean you've lost value. Just because you're disabled doesn't mean you've lost value. We're all perfect how we are, and just need to learn how to accept ourselves.

My life went haywire shortly after I had this idea... I now want to revisit it, along with also using the usually-discarded packaging to create other decorative and/or functional objects, possibly even using the things to upcycle other unwanted items.

I'll be working on some prototypes to get opinions on in the (hopefully) near future!

Bad Day.

Would anyone be interested in buying sculptures or jewelry made from unused medical supplies and packaging?*

It would be transformed, like you might not be able to tell at first glance that it's upcycled stuff.

I'm using things like plastic from those blister packs of plls (ya know, the ones that make it like breaking into a safe just to get your meds), caps from syringes and bottles, and any other clean stuff that would normally be thrown away because it can't be recycled.

Some new components would have to be used, but I'd try to make a minimum of 25% reused materials. Preferably going for at least 50%, though. 😊

*I've posted about this before, but didn't get many responses. If you feel inclined, I'd really appreciate your thoughts on the idea. 😊
