Personal... You freaks🧐

Saying this now, unless I specifically GENDER something assume it is automatically gender (and sex) neutral. Gender, sex, and expression are not, and never have been the same.

🤩I think Pluto in Pisces will show both an exasperation and increase focus on mental + spiritual health. Besides the spiritual and metaphysical properties of Pisces, it's also the sign of the unconscious and the fears that we have. Last Pluto in Pisces we saw a lot more asylums built, increased paranoia, and cases of mass hysteria. There was a vast increase in social stigmas related to certain spiritual beliefs and straight up massacres in some areas of the world. Pluto is still a planet of extremes and whatever it gives a boon in socially/ spiritually, it also grants a struggle with on a physical level.

🤩I have no idea if it's because my Pluto is conjunct my Venus, but 10th house Venus definitely have issues with women in authority. It's been a constant theme in my life were women in positions of authority have abused their power and some have even try to sabotage my own endeavors (work wise, socially, even school wise).

🤩Another Pluto/Venus note is that men will have the opposite reaction. They tend to want to give more, be kinder, or over all be more protective over you. It might be that because Venus is a feminine planet and Pluto is the planet of extremes, Women (regardless if they are more masculine or feminine) tend to struggle hiding their feelings towards the native more, while men (regardless... Again), tend to be more expressive around the native and find comfort in that.

🤩The degree of your Saturn shows the personal energies, places and thoughts you may struggle more with.

😍You would look to the sign that's correlated to the degree and the themes it holds for the energy/place/thoughts that bring discomfort.

😍19°-> Since this degree is linked to Libra, one might find that beauty and relationships are a big focal point in their life. They struggle a lot with there perception of: what is beautiful? What is a healthy relationship? Why certain people just don't like them? Might find discomfort in countries (and people from) France, Fiji, Nigeria and Japan.

🤩Since Saturn is exalted in Libra and Japan is ruled by it... it makes sense that looks, rules, and even history is very important to Japan. The whole (mostly) homogenous country is known for geishas (beauty and rules) AND it's part in WW2 or colonization {mostly in the Asian Pacific region} (history).

🤩I now believe Saturn is less about restrictions and more about discomforts. Restrictions straight up not allowing certain things to happen or belong. Discomfort is more our personal view on how something doesn't bring immediate comfort/joy.

🤩Yet another Saturn note, with discomfort brings discipline. To get pass discomfort you must have the discipline to sit with it. You can't ignore it because similar situations will constantly come up. And vice versa with discipline bringing discomfort.

🤩Neptune-Venus placements might find people are really comfortable touching them. Even strangers who have never met them. It could be that these natives don't come off aggressive so people don't see the need to respect their boundaries.

🤩I'm starting to be more convinced of Virgo being a high fame indicator (remember fame isn't always good, nor does it mean celebratory status). Virgo rules over daily activities and work, it just makes sense those who work/ do more in their daily life tend to get recognized more.

😍Also many famous people that are highly loved/known (and still alive) have a ton of Virgo/6th house placements. This also goes for Virgo degrees.

😍Long story short.. Leo is fame that gets recognized more after death, Taurus is fame during and after life, Capricorn is fame before life and a while after it, and Virgo is living fame.

🤩Earth signs and their ability to attract attention is down played a lot. Despite how relaxed they are compared to other signs, they still have a strong presence. And yes it is related to their physical (money, looks, items etc)

🤗Not a complete Astro observation but more of a spiritual one. (You can ignore it if you want)

The ego is not bad nor needs to be destroyed. 🤗The ego is what makes ones personality; the likes, the dislikes, behaviors and fears. To destroy that is to destroy what makes a person an individual. I know it's a popular belief that the ego needs to be changed, and not sorry to say I don't agree. I believe it needs to have things added and taken away at different stages of life. If you destroy it, are you truly the same person?

🤗In astrology the Sun represents the ego. And the Sun is you at your core, your default mode and being (in this lifetime). When we speak on ego deaths it's not you destroying your individual essence, it's you removing the parts that no longer work for you. Ego deaths aren't true deaths if you think about it, it's more of a reawakening to other aspects of your being.

The ego exists to protect, not harm. You are only harmed by it when you don't want to let go of the parts that no longer protect you.

We are all born with the skills and ability to learn more as we age, it is when others tell use certain things aren't useful that we surpress and disengage from them. We are all born with egos and that is what makes us distinct from each other.

🤩I said this in a reply to a question and I'll say it here as well. Venus is the outward feminine expression of a person. Lilith is the inner feminine expression. What I mean by that is Venus is the social and personally accepted displays of femininity (regardless of gender). It's the things people are okay with seeing. Lilith is not the "dark" per say but less socially (and even personally) aspects of femininity. They both exist in all people and both get treated differently by all people.

🤩You might actually see that Venus doms and Lilith doms tend to hang around each other a lot.

🤩That being said they might not always like each other and be envious of how the other is.

(Venus is more accepted in society but jealous of how Lilith doesn't feel the need to have to fit in. Lilith is more expressive of themselves but jealous of how Venus just seems to fit)

🤩Saturn is the outward masculine expression. Chiron is the inner. I know someone is like "Um AchTuallY", and let me explain. Saturn is where we tend to fall in line with what (Western/Westernize) society sees as the masculine role. Saturn nutures but not overindulges. Saturn provides but doesn't overextend. Chiron does the same thing but more gentlely. Chiron nutures all, from what they know. Chiron provides for all, without taking from personal reserves.

🤩Like Venus and Lilith doms, Saturn and Chiron doms might find themselves in the same circles a lot. And of course the jealousy is all the same.

🤩Saturn is naturally given the role of the provider but is jealous of how Chiron wasn't forced and chose to be one. Chiron is naturally a nurturer and stepping stone in life but is jealous of how Saturn gets to stick around to see what the nutured grow.

When everything seems lost, I never lose sight of what's really important. I always fight to save the things I love.

For some reason I see a need to express yourself in the way you look or dress. Take the leap if you've been contemplating a change. This could just be a metaphor though, in regards to being yourself despite expectations that are set upon you. This could be confirmation to never give yourself up, at least not in your heart, even if you have to pretend in front of a family member, or less crucial people. You are not lost just because you had to hide for a time. You are always there, and important even if no one tells you. Keep going so that you can express yourself, or do what's most important or what you love most. Never let anyone define you or tell you who you are, never believe them, not in your heart of hearts.

Notice the number on the card is 22. You may be seeing repeating numbers as signs from spirit. Maybe this number is a birthday or age. This is likely to remind you that you have everything inside you already that you need. You don't need permission to do the things that are important to you, either. You may also not be getting reassurance from spirit in the way you might want regarding a desire or activity or goal. This isn't to say you wouldn't do well, or that it's not a good idea. It's more that you are the most important judge in your life, and faith in what you can't see is such a strength. Let it carry you. Your life is yours to lead, and your actions need to be what you're most happy with.

Eat something new. What seems different or unusual to you right now might end up being your new favourite flavor. Shows a picture of jabba the hutt looking smug as ever.

This is probably a green light to give into a craving, or allow yourself a treat. Perhaps there has been a difficulty with diet, health or perception regarding food. Perhaps there is guilt, or perhaps someone here is a picky eater. You really never know until you try if something could be a new comfort food. Life includes enjoyment, let yourself enjoy.

What I learned from my therapist is that there are 2 steps to fully letting go of emotions:

expression and action.

Expression can be like speaking or journaling your true thoughts and not letting any judgment cloud what you should and shouldn’t write; just do it even if it’s shameful and not you (also take note of your reactions to those thoughts you want to write bad or good). You are only expressing what doesn’t deserve to be trapped within! This is the time to also show compassion to yourself even if what your feeling is “wrong” that does not matter because those feelings are still VALID.

Then action is the second step to letting your body let go of these intense/traumatic emotions, physical activity is letting your body know you are moving out of the stress or intense emotion and releasing chemicals that will help you feel better if not just give you an activity to focus on. For me I exercise (mainly running) and think of the things that have left me feeling like crap (edit: if you don’t want to think of the pain as you take action that’s ok the expression part already acknowledges it) and just go for it!

Other ways of expression are: any vent art form like painting, writing, speaking/talking to a friend; you can incorporate action within expression such as dance, singing edit: writing/ playing music.

Other ways of taking action: running, hiking, get outside in nature, breaking inanimate objects (please make sure you are safe and do not hurt yourself or others while doing this, I ripped apart a mattress with friends and it was awesome!) again you can incorporate expression into action like the examples above: singing, dancing, edit: instrument strumming, playing your favorite music on your instrument or creating music.

Letting go is one of the things I don’t see many spiritualists explain how to do and this is not a one and done deal if you need multiple sessions for yourself to express please go for it!! Healing is an up and down journey and I want to keep sharing what I have learned so you may transform into the butterflies I know you all are 😊

(I’m not claiming this will work right away or for everyone, it does take time and patience for self, it also depends on how deep the pain is and how long your body may have held onto the stress, be gentle my friends)

let’s talk about purple crystals

good for -> increasing spiritual awareness, psychic insight, connecting with intuition, accessing prophecy, opening the third eye, protection

placements -> cars, bedside and under pillows, paired with purple evil eyes, rings or other jewelry, placed over or slightly above third eye while meditating

stell’s favourite pairings -> flourite + unakite, amethyst + white howlite, tanzanite + clear quartz, super seven + crystal points

personal story: most spiritualists list purple crystals among the best to have bedside and under pillows. i’ve listed it here because so many others i know agree. however, i do not sleep with purple crystals under my pillow. amethyst is actually one of my least favourite crystals. in general, i’ve found that most purple crystals dull my dreams. and amethyst rids me of dreams entirely. perhaps this is the purple crystals doing their jobs, as i usually have vivid dreams—and often nightmares—but this is a huge deal for me because i regularly use my dreams as points of reflection, regardless of the type of dream i’ve had.

I would just like to ask you to be respectful as well. let's learn from each other well. this is meant to be an informative guide, not rules

Let's get into it~

- ,, 🥛 how I communicate with guides⌇·˚ ༘

Alright so, before starting I would like to highlight that this is how I, myself communicate since this is the most comfy and convenient way for me, however there are many more ways to do so. - That is why I will expand on it. - The reason I am sharing with is because it is a great way to start for those who would like to try but are unsure how.

It is the most basic answer you can think of; meditation and tarot.

I know, I know. Some of you are judging me right now, annoyed, rolling your eyes, but hear me out.

For me communication with spirits is not an issue, since I have the power of clearauidance, and I believe it is not an issue for you either if you are confident enough.

I will first, get into the tarot bit.

Before starting, I respectfully ask if I am allowed to talk to the guides of xyz. I do this by touching my third eye - located at your forehead, or between your eyebrows. depends. - and asking them to show me a sign visually if so.

Could be a colour, shape, form, object.. whatever. Personally I always ask for something I associate with the person at hand. It doesn't need to be special.

For example, if the person likes ducks I ask for a visual of a duck. If you are bad with visuals and rather get an action, for example light going off, something falling ect - whatever - you can take those as a confirmation as well.

And once I have got the confirmation I ask guides who are comfortable with the topic at hand to come forward, to talk to me. Then I shuffle and let the cards fall.

This does not take long for me if the spirits/guides are open minded but please keep in mind that I am doing this for years as well as every guide has their own personality, beliefs and opinions.

It can take a while if you are not used to this, or if they have trust issues, or are simply warry of certain energies or people in general. - Do not get offended by this, they are just trying to do their best to protect the person at hand spiritually. -

Now I have one rule. - You don't need to have this, but can make your own if you want. - if they pop out the high priestess it is a sign to use my intuition more or use a meditative way to talk to them.

That is it. It is very simple, but it requires patience. Like this, I understand them better.

So, if you are new to communicating, you could use this way as a base and shift it to your own preferred way to do so.

Now, onto the meditative method. I believe that anyone can do it, so if you can't I have one advice for you; relax your mind. It's okay if it didn't work this time, it will the next time. You are fully capable.

Of course not everyone does it this way but maybe you could see this from your perspective and see what is useful for you.

Anyway, the way I meditate is by being completely alone, in the dark, but not complete one.

I surround myself with faint blue and yellow light - if possible - as they represent spirituality to me, and I put on white noise if possible. Nothing special, just sound of the nature and I keep my eyes closed.

Before anything I empty both my head and heart out. If I don't, how else would it be geniuen?

I can't overthink and let my heart decide what they wanted to say.

Many humans struggle with this, so before anything, I make sure to just exist, to be nothing but acceptance to know more. Then, once I have achieved this will I ask whoever is comfortable to come forward and talk to me.

This is only my second method because it is especially hard to do if one is anxious or they have a disturbed, lost energy. Not impossible, but it is harder.

They are very simple and I am not saying I am saying anything new or inventory, but, as long as it helps at least one person I am very happy.

- ,, 🥛 further ways to communicate with guides⌇·˚ ༘

Here, I will not say any popular methods, because if you truly tried before and you are reading this you must already know them. Rather, I would love to share methods my friends have used. I am not friends anymore with them due to simple life things, but I will always remember the person they were dearly.

The first one is what I prefer calling the rose method, although you do not necessarily need a rose for it.

The way she liked to do this communication form was by first cleansing the air around her, taking even a shower maybe, so everything can start clean and fresh.

Then, she laid a table cloth on a small table, as a sign of respect.

Of course, this part is not necessary, but for the clarification; she had put a picture of the person she was asking about/connecting to at the back of the table - which was her grandma -.

Her grandma was someone that she held close to her heart, so, after her passing she asked her own guides to allow her to know more about her spirit and later on she used this way to talk to her as she became her spirit guide. - from what I have been told. -

Anyway onto the more important parts. - Since you can leave this out if you have nothing of this sort to visualise with. -

You will need dried flowers for this one~

To my best knowledge, the ones you need to use depend on the energy you want to create in the situation, to symbolise why you are here, so you will need to do your research on that one. However she used, roses, hydrangea, lily and purple violet. She crushed them up and gentle poured it infront of the picture, all over the table.

This was mostly to symbolise that she is grounded and isn't here to show that she is better than anyone. - if you want to expand on that, you could do this on the ground/floor. -

After this, she used seven candles - white ones - and formed them in a c shape - all in front of the picture still. -

I no longer remember why having seven is important, so I apologise for it, however I know that the middle was the tallest and the more we get to the outter sides they become smaller.

This is to symbolise a staircase, where they can meet.

Of course, each one was lit.

In between the candles - not close to them - she had always placed something that reminds her of her grandma, so no uninvited spirits will bother her. This is just an extra step, but I would like to think it is important.

It can be whatever that fits there, really.

Then she spoke whatever it is that she wanted out loud and paid attention to things and spirits around her.

That is all there is to it.

I know, I know. It can be overwhelming. So, for now, I will say an easier method.

This one includes water, so, if you have a fear of the water - or dark - or perhaps you are suicidal -, please don't try this one.

This one is simple, but requires mental stability. My friend used to do it in the dark as he says that is what comforted him and he was not scared of anything bad happening.

He filled up a bathtub, and went into it clothed after turning lights on and putting on instrumental music, piano, mostly. He learned piano as a young child, so whatever reminds you of your own childhood will do.

He then prayed to his God - I forgot his religion, but it was from an asian. you are free to skip this and just talk to your guides instead. - and asked to be guided.

He then went under water for 30 seconds, then came back up and laid - in a safe manner, half of his body out of water - in there for 15 minutes approx. Legs up to his chest.

This was in fact to symbolise that he is vulnerable, and here to learn.

But of course, neither one is good for readings - incase you are a reader - rather, for your own spiritual growth.

So, the easiest one I will share is this one; get a necklace, ring or any jewellery that opens up. - If I am not mistaken they are called medals, but, I could be entirely wrong on that one. - crush up spiritual flowers - or whatever herb you wish - and put it inside. Wear it everyday and practice your spiritual gifts while wearing them. Don't take it off.

Yes, I know, it doesn't sound mind blowing or impressive at all, however my friend whom the first method I told belongs to taught me this before she passed away. I have done it before and it is something that had helped me out a lot.

However! I would love to give advice here.

Whatever you think will work; will actually work. Why? Because there is no correct or wrong way to do this.

You can see that each of the methods I have said are very personal. However you connect, whatever approach you take, as long as you do your very best you are capable.

It's okay it your method is complicated, odd or very simple, as long as it means something to you and it's personal it will for sure work for you. It's okay if you just do your thing.

- ,, 🥛 how to tell if it is really them or not⌇·˚ ༘

First of all, I would love to start with; no, evil and ill spirited entities such as demons, devils or shape shifters cannot embody any angel or spirit guide, even it that would be the case you would be very well aware of it.

This is mostly about how you can tell if something is your though, or has been given to you.

Basically, if you are really unsure, you can start with doing intuition tests. There is a bunch on tiktok or youtube, but you can do this by yourself.

Take pieces of paper, write or draw different things on it, put it in a hat, mix it up and tell what it is intuitively. Don't guess. Never guess. Absolutely never guess. Just tell intuitively. If you are wrong you are wrong, you will have another chance.

It's okay.

Now, onto when you actually talk to them, or try to communicate.

They can't take over all your thoughts and visions until you completely allow them to. Their voice is usually faint or calm unless they need to tell something important.

It will NOT be your voice, unless they try to control your thoughts. Yes, they can do that and it is not as scary as you think. They rather shift your focus on what they want to say, instead of saying it; don't try to push it away, that will only cause you a headache.

Most importantly; your own thoughts will be something you are used to, their voice, visions and powers will have their very own unique presence.

That is all I have to say on that, maybe someone else can fill you out better there than I could.

- ,, 🥛 who could be your spirit guide⌇·˚ ༘

This will not be a way to tell who they are, but rather just possibilities, in order.

The most common, because every has one; an animal spirit guide. They are very unique depending on your life experiences, you can have multiple and gain one while just living life. However, you will immediately have one once you are born and they can follow you throughout life times. At least in my belief.

The next most obvious one has got to be self explanatory; a family member. This could a dear person special to you or your family, not necessarily blood related. The reason behind this is that they are still attached to you and want to protect you.

The second most obvious one is of course; ancestors. This can be anyone, from anytime. 100 years ago, but even! 12000 years ago. I know, it sounds ridiculous, because it is, however I have happened to come across people witch such spirit guides before. Not sure why they stick around so long, but is fascinating.

The third one, not many seem to consider; your very own soul family. You didn't come here out of nowhere, you have thousands of souls who are like yours, who connect to you, and those of which have not lived on this earth watch over you with care and love.

Fourth, archangels; In order to achieve this you need to be an extraordinary person who stands out from the crowd in terms of behaviour or personality, not achievements. It is rare, but not uncommon.

A deity; This is even more rare, and kind of uncommon. You need to have a really special energy, heart, personality and talents in order for this to happen. Not impossible though. However, if you suspect this is the case double check to the best of your abilities because trickster spirits often pose as deities in order to suck your energy away.

Last but not least, most unknown one; demons. Boo! They are watching you! Jokes aside, don't get scared. Although I myself don't know a lot about them - that is why I would love to learn if any of you do - one of mine is one. - had a reading on this 2 years ago with a very powerful witch. - They don't really harm you. I am not sure in what situations this occurs, but having a clear mind in this situation is best.

Hey everyone! I am excited to announce that I am reopening my readings and services! A little bit about me: My name is Z, and my pronouns are He/They. I don't really care for labels, but if I were to use them, I would describe myself as an astral traveler, an energy worker, a spirit worker, a Reiki master, clairvoyant, claircognizant, a Buddhist, a Norse Pagan, and a reductionist witch!

As far as my services go, I do things like: channeled card draws, intuitive readings, energy readings, spirit services, Reiki healing, etc. What makes my readings unique is that I am an avid astral-traveler and energy worker. When I do readings, I connect to your energy directly, and sometimes visit you astrally, so that I can get a genuine connection to give an accurate reading. I'm grateful to have been met with much success, and to have helped so many people. You can find most feedback that I get here.

Once connected to your energy, I will intuitively pick one of the many decks best-suited for your question, and draw a card for you using an energy technique of my own. Pics will be included!

General Reading

This is by far my most popular kind of reading! In this reading I connect to you energetically and astrally, and I describe what I see and hear in answer to your request. Typically I start by describing some basics about your energy, how it looks and feels, etc. I will also describe any physical/emotional/personal attributes that I am picking up about you.

From here, it depends on the purpose of the reading! If you have a specific question, I will then address it and channel it here. If there is no specific question and more of a general reading, then I will simply allow the Universe to show me what you need to hear. Sometimes I get messages, see visions, talk to guides or spirits - whatever happens, happens!

Energy Reading/Healing

In this kind of reading, I will look at and analyze your energy much more in-depth than I normally would in any other reading. I can see and feel energy, and I can also see and interact with auras as well.

So in this reading, I will give you a detailed description of your energy and your aura at the current point in time, as well as descriptions of anything else that might grab my interest, such as imbalanced chakras, stuck energy, objects in your aura, parasites, etc.

Spirit Services

This service will largely be relative to the individual and their needs and wants. But things I can do here would be things like:

-Spirit Interviews - I can channel a spirit or spirit guide for you, ask questions, see if they have any messages for you, etc.

-Spirit Detection - If you are suspicious of a spirit hanging around you and your home, I can check for you, and if there is one, I can see what they want. If they are malicious, this brings me to my next service:

-Big Nasty ™ Removal - Sometimes malicious spirits and entities find their way to us. I can help you banish any unpleasant or malicious spirits. I am also very good at removing parasites - they usually have these fine entanglements in your energy and aura, like a leech or tick, which requires precise energy work to remove. 3 . Equal Energy Exchange

The way that I do payment for readings has changed. There is a fantastic book by Frank Alper called Our Existence Is Mind, and in it he talks about the necessity of an equal exchange of energy: "This fulfills the balance of energies between the healer and the receiver. If this does not take place, the energies of healing could disperse and lose effectiveness" (76).

I fully agree with this and think that this applies to readings as well as healings. In order for my readings/healings/services/etc to be fully effective for the other person, there needs to be an equal exchange of energy. If the exchange is out of balance, either from the reader or the client, the reading could not be effective or accurate, and any energy work or healing that is done could disperse or cease to take effect.

So to do this, I leave it up to you to decide how much it's worth it to you and what would be a fair exchange, as well as how you would like to do it. It doesn't have to be money - though most people do for my readings and services - there just needs to be an balance of exchange. Why you need to think twice about calling yourself Spiritual™

Imma be honest this post might piss some folks off.

"Spirituality" as we know it is very very white washed AND eurocentric.

You might be asking how is it white washed? I know two whole asteroids named after Hindu deities.

Its simple, the most common talked about religions and beliefs are European based ones.

The only time I see non white religions talked about is when people are talking about closed off religions and the people that practice them.

That's really not being the "open" and "understanding" community that most claim it is. In fact its the same energy as "I see you. I hear you *but truly I don't give af* "

In fact that's literally the same issue that pushed a lot of folks from the Abrahamic religions, especially Christianity.

If you look through spiritual, astrology, and even tarot based tags on any site. You'll see an overwhelming amount of information on Greek (Hellenistic), Norse, Roman deities, practices and astrology.

The little you see on Kemeticism (Egyptian) is also linked mostly to the Greek and Roman dynasties. Little is said about the Nubian influence. Despite them predating what most folks attribute Egypt to and for sure Rome and Greece.

Most wouldn't even know the first noted monotheistic religion wasn't Judaism but Zoroastrianism. Something that also came out of West Asia and predates Hellenistic, Roman and Norse religions.

Side note, none of the Abrahamic religions are white religions. They all have rich history in Africa and West Asia. The reason why they are seen as "white" is due to lack of historical acknowledgement and the fact they all got popularized by Europeans in the West (minus Islam mainly). So yes that means calling Christianity a white religions is not only historically inaccurate but doesn't acknowledge those who were Christian prior to the Romans (stealing again), mainstreaming it.

I'll be honest most folks only know about Greece, Rome and Norse history because they are seen as the "pinnacle of civilization". Western civilization that is. They have the most research done on them not only because they are European based but because the lack of interest in non European *cough* white cough* history.

I know its "hard" to find resources on non European and even non Abrahamic religions, and there also isn't much effort.

If people wanted to know about Aboriginal religions they would listen to First Nation people. If they wanted to learn about a West African religion they would listen to West Africans. If they wanted to know about Taoism, guess what, they'd listen to a Chinese person.

We can not and should not pretend all non European religions suddenly went extinct or aren't interesting. That just whitens yet another thing that was so heavily demonized by Europeans and now The West. And due to there being an advantage in co-opting them, they are whitened to be easier to digest.

This leads me to people's issues with New Age Spirituality.

No one truly has an issue with spirituality itself (that is if they thinking right). The issue is the constant stealing (calling it as it is) of closed religions/practices. Nothing from New Age beliefs are authentically themselves, they are all twisted versions of some private belief catering towards the masses.

If people knew the root of New Age Spirituality they wouldn't be so involved in it. If they knew it started in the 70s when people started fetishizing South, Southeast and East Asian religions/people they would think twice. If they knew it was linked to the fetishiztion of Africa and overall a new wave of Orientalism I promise you, they'd look twice at it.

While talking about religions, we must also acknowledge a lot of non European religions (and even some micro European ones) don't truly get acknowledged as religions but passed on as "practices" or "cultural beliefs". The definition of religion is the habitual engage in a *personal* belief. That means if someone goes to work everyday, lives for their job, and puts all the energy and focus into it; their job is their religion. So them being called a "practice" diminishes the weight of them in the lives of those who engage in them.

Now on to another reason why people side eye New Age spirituality. The fact all the things it claims to have popularized preexist in non white religions.

I'll start off with one that's gonna blow someone... Tarot.

Tarot was actually popularized and originally spread by Islam (I know shocker right). The Rroma have stated countless times they didn't come up with it nor spread it. In fact Rroma religion(s) are different than what people commonly associate it with. Its literally just a racist idea spread by Europeans to isolate Rroma. Some folks kinda forget the Islamic empires that existed and not only spread throughout Asia but Europe and Africa. People have been mingling forever so of course their inventions and ideologies are going to go with them.

Here's a spicy take: the only reason why European religions are so popular (and gaining more popularity) is due to the idea that non European religions (and people) are not "civilized". This can be seen as far back as the Romans (and Greek) as they demonized the religions, languages and cultures of those under their influences. In fact the term "Berber" (which if you ain't, don't say it) means Barbarian. That's literally so offensive to Imazighen, as we have religions, cultures and our own name. So you can't tell me they were an open minded folk who got bullied. They started it, took religions from elsewhere and twisted to their benefit.

Regardless if one wants to acknowledge it or not, the hyperfocus on European based religions and history reinforces that non Europeans (therefore non whites) are not smart nor able to stabilize themselves WITHOUT European influence. In other words its racism *crystal, herbs and tarot cards version*.

Let's be real, part of that comes from the fact almost all non European religions are passed on orally and through community. So of the language/ people are broken up its almost impossible to pass them down. And what did European colonization since 400BCE do.... Destroy peoples languages, identity and family structures. (still pissed the Romans decided to burn down the library in Alexandria.. Like really all that knowledge gone because you felt "threatened".)

Lastly Globalization/Westernization has actually done a toll on many of the small/ less known religions. It has pushed them into the corners of the world. The more we interact it *should* have given space for understanding and acceptance. However that hasn't been the case when there is less understanding as well as more covering up. Smaller cultures, religions, languages are easily being engulfed by larger ones. While that has always happened now that there are global connections, its easier to see a language go extinct in 10 years instead of 800. Easier to see younger people want to engage in Western culture(s) versus the one their ancestors did. Its also common to see people ignore the religions of their own people for one more "mainstream". Truly its sad. The less diverse the world is, doesn't mean other gets better or more connected. It simply means certain things aren't seen as important or worth keeping. Its also easier to get larger groups of people to believe in something (even if it isn't to their benefit). So no I don't believe everyone should believe in the same exact thing, I don't believe there should be a global dominate culture, and I don't believe that either one of those changes the behavior of communities for the better. For example... The West as a whole. Its still racist. Classist. Xenophobic. Etc even with large mixtures of people interacting. At the end of the day its because no one takes the time to understand and appreciate the differences people have. No one can say this person is different from me (and not harming no one), I can respect that AND not have to be like them or hate them for it.

I just want to leave everyone with some final questions to see if you've internalized the ideology that non European religions and people truly aren't worth learning about:

1. Can you name a religion out of Africa that isn't Orisha or Kemetisicm? (No Vodou and Hoodoo don't count :))

2. Do you know they name of at least one Indigenous American (South and North) deity or asteroid?

3. Do you know anyone who actively practices either a non Abrahamic or European based religion? (Not to be that guy... Hinduism ain't counting for this one)

4. Can you say that you've done the same (or more) research for a non European religion?

5. Do you only see the Abrahamic religions as the only monotheistic religions?

6. Do you actively participate in practices that are closed/ specific to a religion/ people that you do not belong to?

7. Do you think its important to highlight religions that are spoken little about ( istg someone says people don't talk about Wicca, Hellenism, or Roman imma scream)?

8. What can you do to better your understanding of little known practices?

9. Do you make space for those who practice religions/ beliefs that aren't European and actively listen?

10. Do you believe there should be more work done to highlight non European based history as well as protect them?

*When I say West I mean: the United States, all of Europe (Easterners/Southerners don't get passes... Y'all still benefit), New Zealand and Australia. That's the true definition of "The West". Folks who are not included in the definition of The West are: anyone Native/Indigenous to a land prior to European colonization (only Europeans to fall in this category are the Sámi and Indigenous Russians), and enslaved peoples descendants. Does that mean people who fit those categories can not push negative ideologies of course not, and they do not ever benefit from doing so, its internalized hatred*

If this ruffled your feathers, you might have some work to do. If we truly want a better world full of understanding we must acknowledge not only the faults of the many but the faults of ourselves as well. We must see the active role we play in someone else's harm and how that plays into many of the negative systems/ideologies we have today. All in all we must give space to others to speak, we must learn to listen not react, and we must learn to be understanding.
