Irondad fic ideas #157

The spell is almost complete, and MJ knows. She knows Peter's never going to come find them. He's going to let himself stay forgotten.

So as soon as he's swung away she opens her phone and types in the first chat she sees with Peter not in it: "May Parker's nephew the most boring white boy name Tony Stark's son Midtown decath I love him Ned's best friend about to be erased by magic DONT FORGET HIM FIND HIM."

She manages to add a few final notes just for her, to prove to her future self that she's really the one sending the message. She hits send just as the spell is sealed.

It turns out, the group chat she'd written in was the one for "FOS" (Friends of Spider-Man).

When she stumbles across the chat again, large sections of it's history are now blank, and she doesn't remember what the name stands for. But the members are still there: herself, Ned, May Parker, Happy Hogan, and Tony Stark.

So. Two dead people and May's ex boyfriend, who never bothers to respond. At least Ned is determined. And that "I love him" echoes in her head. They both begin to poke at the mystery, not really sure it'll ever be solved.

Little does she know, Tony Stark is not as dead as the whole world believes. And he's very concerned that this random group chat is talking about magic and him having a missing son.

Paring: mcu!Peter Parker x f!reader

Synopsis: you have no idea how you find yourself in your best friends lap, but here you were.

Warnings: some making out, sitting on lap, fluff fluff and it is a short blurb

You don’t remember how you ended up here, but here you were, straddling your best friend. Legs on either side of his lap. Peters hands caressed your lower back, as your hands found his messy hair.

Peter leaned his forehead against yours, taking in a deep breath. Lips hovering over yours gingerly.

“y/n…are you sure you want this?” He asked softly, eyes scanning your face for any sign of discomfort, but he only found you smiling, eyes shimmering with something like love and lust.

"I do…d-do you?” You whispered shakily against his lips, one hand sliding to his cheek to let your thumb rub his cheekbone longingly. Peter pressed a kiss to your palm, his hands wandered to your waist, grabbing it softly, then nodding.

"More than you will ever know” he chuckled slightly, but he meant it earnestly.

You grinned sheepishly before leaning in again, Peter was quick to lock his lips with yours passionately. His hands slowly but surely trailed down your spine until he reached your bum, grabbing the soft flesh determinedly.

You breathed out against his lips, pulling away mere inches, lips grazing his. "To clarify….I do not want this to be a one time thing” you shyly whispered against Peters lips. Peters heart swelled with joy, as his eyes wandered from your face to your hands, which were grasping his shirt tenderly.

Peter hummed softly and looked back up at you, cupping your chin between his thumb and index finger. "Neither do I. I want us….us to go on dates, hold hands and all this cheesy stuff couples do” he whispered gently. You let out a soft giggle and nodded eagerly, butterflies erupting in your stomach. Peter feeling the mutual butterflies in his own stomach, placed a gentle kiss to yours lips, going back to kissing you.

"Like boyfriend and girlfriend” you said again, between kisses. Peter was now the one giggling against your lips, hand caressing your cheekbone.

“Like boyfriend and girlfriend” he confirmed.

Before Tony died, he never really discussed how to pass down his position in SI. Of course, he and Pepper had discussed at length that Morgan probably wouldn’t be interested. Morgan had never shown any interest in Tony or Peppers job, beyond rummaging through boxes of completed projects. Tony had been adamant that Morgan never be pressured into the company.

It must have never come up. Tony never had a protégé, had never discussed anything about the company’s future if he died to Peppers memory.

But that won’t stand with the board. Pepper is getting older, she wants more time with her daughter, and she can’t be CEO forever. But the board insists that SI is a family business, and a family member must be next in line, for publicity sake. Gotta love some nepotism, apparently.

While rifling through Tony’s old journals, Pepper finds something that gives her an idea: the name of a kid Tony used to send letters back and forth with. Apparently Tony worked with the kid wayyyy back, and they kept in touch. Harley even showed up to the funeral.

So Pepper invites Harley over, and they come up with a plan…

(A year later, Peter watches on a coffee shop TV as Pepper announces at a press conference that Tony secretly had a protégé: Harley Keener. Pepper discusses how the secret was only for those closest to Tony, but as Harley’s role expands, the public can now know.

Peter spends the walk back to his apartment trying to remember if he ever heard the name before, feeling sick to his stomach. Maybe he hadn’t been as close to Tony as he thought… maybe the spell wasn’t to blame for everything…)

Irondad fic ideas #160

Before the Avengers went to go and fight Thanos, Tony took some time to implement some tiny features into his robots -- in case he never made it home. For example, he coded DUM-E so that he'd do the little 8-bit happy birthday song on his most beloveds' birthdays. Morgan's, Pepper's, Rhodey's, Happy's, and, of course, Peter's.

Fast forward to after NWH. Tony is still in his coma post-snap (we know no death here). Pepper is cleaning his workshop as a nervous habit. Then, DUM-E starts to sing. A calm and slow playthrough of "Happy Birthday"

She lets it play out in confusion. Then, a hologram of Tony pops up, and he says, with the utmost adoration, "Happy birthday, Pete. I'm proud of you, Underoos."

And Pepper stands there in confusion because... Who is Pete?
